TP
Could you feel that? Come in, Sid.
Sid
I feel it coming. I feel it coming.
TP
Yeah. Well, the thing is, you didn't, because Chip and Yams had their first psychic reading this week, and I think it went really well. I have a Closest to my dogs. I. I went in skeptical. I met this wonderful woman named Emily. She's a dog psychic or animal psychic. She does matter where.
Sid
How did this.
TP
Virtually. We virtually did this.
Sid
Okay.
TP
For my birthday, I got gifted a dog psychic for my lovely dogs. First of all, Chips in studio today, y'.
Sid
All.
TP
And, yeah, Chips upset with me, though.
Sid
Yeah, he looks. Looks down.
TP
He is down. He just got. He just had to leave the bed. He had to get a toenail removed.
Sid
Oh, yeah.
TP
So it's surgery season for the playson's family, but we're both up and we're both back. And with their psychic readings, though, I've never felt more, like, close to my dogs. I went in very skeptical. I thought, like, this is. Huh. Okay, cool. But then the things that were said, like, they didn't say anything that was, like, mind blowing, changing my mind. But the energy surrounding the phrases that she was saying make a lot of sense with my dogs.
Sid
And also, can I just say real quick.
TP
Yeah.
Sid
Speaking of closeness to pets, there was a Houston lawyer whose wife caught him on camera. Acts of bestiality with the family dog.
TP
What?
Sid
So you saying closeness to your pets just made me think of that. But keep going, though.
TP
Yeah, but there's, like, a MAGA closeness, and then there's, like, just regular closeness that you used to have before. Like, those kind of people started just roaming the earth and now run the country is crazy. But you know what? If anybody's interested in dog psychics, comment below. We might have to bring Emily on. Like, we might just have to.
Sid
Right. So what did. What did Emily tell you about them?
TP
She pretty much just told me that yams. Her phrase for life is pretty much just play all day. Which, if you ever met Yams, you would know that she does love to play. And Chip, he is, you know, he's 13. So she was like, hey, is there anything on your bucket list that you want to do, you know, before life runs its course? And she.
Sid
She was asking Chip that.
TP
She asked Chip that, and Chip said, no, my life's pretty much perfect.
Sid
What. What do you mean Chip said?
TP
That's what Chip said.
Sid
All right?
TP
Chip said that he's happy and his life's perfect. And what. What would you want to do if you were. Would you want anything more than napping? All Day and snacking all day and getting pretty much just massaged all day. Probably not. That's.
Sid
Well, maybe he wants to companion.
TP
He's got a sister. Yams. They love each other. She's also in the building. Yams.
Sid
Someone to be physical with, though. Like a Houston attorney.
TP
Hit the theme song. I can't even. Don't listen to that.
CJ Colson
Unsupervised. Unsupervised. Unsupervised. Yeah. Yes.
Sid
Yes.
CJ Colson
Okay. We say what we want and yeah, we say what we feel. Sitting TMP of the mix and they be keeping it real on brand, off TV topic out of pocket Anything you need, they got it Watch you shop when you know they going to block it when it's game time and you know I'm going to block them. And we cover everything like who harder than us? And yeah, we looking down on haters cuz they smaller than us and yeah, my flow is so damn sick I be coughing it up. You said that we going flat. Well then I'm calling your blood.
Sid
Unsupervised is what he was with that animal.
TP
That's disgusting.
Sid
Sorry. He needs to be put down, though. The man, not the dog. Yeah, no, thank you for sharing about that, though. That's cool. I can't wait to meet Emily and.
TP
No, she's great. I really love Emily and I'm sure she can't wait to meet you too. Probably after her. The remarks that you just had. She's gonna hate you. Oh, I hope it doesn't.
Sid
Well, hey, M's girl. Can't wait to. Can't wait to link. You're hilarious.
TP
No, you are, Sid.
Sid
All right, tp, you know what time it is. No, you don't. Wy web time. Pride Edition.
TP
Not Pride Edition.
Sid
Pride Edition, y'.
CJ Colson
All.
Sid
It's June 1st here. You'll be hearing this later, but the point is we're late. But still relevant. Cody McMahon and Natisha Heideman. Yo, some jump balls are so funny to me because it's like some people just refuse to let the ball go. Like, if I get in a jump ball and they called it, like, it's whatever. I'm not trying to do all this extra. If you're stronger than me, you should rip it away from me. No problem. I'm gonna just, like, let it go like science. Right, right, right. And this mattered to you. So, like, you got it. But we still gotta go do the jump. And then. But it was funny to see not let go and she went. She spun in her beat.
TP
They see. So they left the ground, man, I'd be pissed if someone flung me with my feet leaving.
Sid
I just imagine, like, imagine her saying it should just have like a soundtrack trying to get down, like some audio above it. Oh, no. Her feet stayed on the ground. Her feet stayed on the ground. Let me take that back. But she did get swung from, like the paint to like, close to the three point line. And the Mystics players were laughing and stuff. But hotter man whispered. And that killed me. She said, and Cody McMahon looks strong as hell. Like she should have been with Vince McMahon and them in the WWF back then. But I don't know, that just really, really tickled me because. Are you trying to, like.
TP
Because whenever that happens, like, you're probably irritated. Basketball is a competitive sport. You have your competitive juices flowing. You see this female presenting woman fling you around and all you can do and sit there and do what you did when you were like 5 years old and you wanted to call your mom a. But you didn't have anything going for. You had no income, you had no sons, but you had enough sense to not say it out loud. So you just be like.
Sid
You just had audacity, so you, like, just gotta whisper it away. Yeah.
TP
So that's pretty much how I took this situation with Natisha Heideman.
Sid
They were down 24 and they were down 24 too. So, you know, you're irritated you're losing.
TP
Definitely irritated you're losing.
Sid
It's eight. They're eight and a half minutes left in the game. So it was just. It was just one of those hilarious clips.
TP
I just respect her for being, being the, the bigger man in the situation and not taking it out on a lady. Watch out, Happy pride, y'.
CJ Colson
All.
TP
Continuing with the Pride headlines. I know after, you know, my last game in the W, there was a little lull of strong, talented, masculine presenting white athletes in the wnba. But Sid. Yeah, there's no longer a void for that because you know why they're making their come. Jessica shepherd and Emily Angstler really came through this week. Yeah.
Sid
Yeah. Carrying the torch.
TP
Carrying the torch, man, the white dykes are taking over and doing their thing. Okay, we taking over. No, but so on these last couple games, Jessica shepherd has had 18 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists. Against the sky, against the Aces, she had her second triple double, which was 22, 20 and 10. And she's the only player in WNBA history to have a 20, 2010 triple double. Oh, I'm sorry. She's only the second player in WBA history behind Alyssa Thomas to Hit that mark. And she's shooting phenomenally. And so is Emily Angstler. I think Emily Angstler is leading the league in leading the league in block shots against the Fever, she was 16.7 for 10, 10 rebounds, four assists. One of the best games of her career. And, you know, shout out to the white mass of the league. I know there was a little gossip, a little rumor. Maybe Jez allegedly poisoned her teammates. Allegedly. We don't know. I'm thinking. No. But regardless, she got her opportunity. She got her opportunity on the court, and she took full advantage, so. But hey, Wings fans, see what happens when you guys chill out. After three games, it all, like, starts to work out. And listen, don't get too high right now because it's a season. There's gonna be dips and flows, dips and flows, and we're gonna bop around. So just, hey, take your wins where you can. Congratulations to the Wings and Jessica shepherd and the Portland Fire. I think Jessica Shepard was also recently compared to
Sid
Draymond. Yeah.
TP
By Becky. And while the. It did hit as a compliment, I think for.
Sid
Wait, was it Becky? Becky said it.
TP
I think it was Becky. Right.
Sid
I thought it was somebody in a presser. Okay. Either way. Either way. That was the comp.
TP
And, you know, she. She appreciated the basketball. She does feel like she's a better scorer.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
Can't argue with the numbers.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
There.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
But something she wasn't a fan of. And I'm just gonna leave that as that.
Sid
I guess they're making. They're making. I guess then be like the Splash Sisters. And she's Draymond.
TP
Somebody's got to be somebody because we can't just have our own thing. Like.
Sid
Yeah, like, why do they need to.
TP
Like, why don't we just call them the Powderpuff Girls or something? Like, if we're. Let's pull from a female group, let's call them Destiny's Child. Like, the chick's actually. My bad. Shout out to the chicks, too.
Sid
No, for real, because they're going back on tour.
TP
Love them.
Sid
And listen, I went to their. Their 10 year reunion tour here in Houston, and they were at Cynthia Woods Pavilion out in the Woodlands. And it was me, me, Simone, my sister in law Chastain, my cousin Brittany, my friend Ryan. We. We were like some of the few black people at this concert. So the way the pavilion set up is like, there's like a covered area, neither stage down low, and then there's a hill of grass and people just put their chairs out there or Put blankets or whatever. So we're back there in our like cowboy cowgirl attire singing all of the words. I'm telling you, like, we know all the lyrics. Cuz my mom was a Dixie Chicks fan. And so the white people were turning and looking at us during and they're like, wow. Y' all know, like all the words. You're right, we do. Why don't you. This is your culture. How do you not. You got to take this seriously. You know what I'm saying?
TP
Yeah.
Sid
As soon as. When Natalie did the FUTK stuff and you know it's bad. Listen, when she did the fu. Toby Keith and she was talking about Bush when they were in office, things started to go downhill, downhill for them. And I just mean as far as like, blowback is concerned, because, you know, their popularity and within the country music space, people aren't really talking shit about Republican presidents or conservatives. So them doing that was not a good look. And so now Natalie is back around talking about the current administration. And that's how you know if you got the Dixie Chicks coming back out and talking, it's not a good time.
TP
They were well ahead of their time. Like, this was at a time where, like, a lot of people felt like a lot of the American things were kind of at bay. Like, we were past racism, we were past all these other things. And the Dixie Chicks, especially in their space, but just generally as well, were way, way, way, way ahead of their time as far as even like changing the name before people even asked them to. Like, there was a lot of things that went into who the chicks are now and who they were then and what they were willing to use their platform for, which, you know, especially in today's day and age, but forever, like, I just applaud people that use their platform and also are willing to take a financial hit for the greater good,
Sid
what they believe in.
TP
Sorry, we got a little sidetracked on our worldwide Wide web conversation.
Sid
No sidetrack. Not us ever.
TP
We're good and just like us, we're right back on it. There's one big headline that I'm so excited to talk to you about today, Sid, because it's pretty much been something that we can directly be able to attest to and speak on and also shout out to Megan Gustafson, Megan Gustafson, before we get started on, like, why we're bringing her up. I played with Megan many times on many different teams and we had very similar roles on the team. And I will say that Megan is probably one of the Kindest souls you'll ever be around. Like, she's just, like, a nice person. She just, like, you just feel bad, like, even, like, saying the F word in front of her. You don't want to, like, oh, no, I didn't.
Sid
But I hear you.
TP
Yeah, I didn't, but I'm sure you do. But Megan is so awesome. And Megan is in the headlines lately because she's been having her best WNBA season yet. And this doesn't come as a surprise to anybody that pays attention to Megan collegiately or Megan overseas. But only people that follow Megan in the W would find this kind of shocking, I guess, quote, shocking. So Megan was in the headlines recently for saying that she feels like this is the first season in her WNBA career that she's felt, like, respected. And she's getting a lot of, like, really mixed feedback from that. And I just am very confused as to why people just don't want to let people live. Because also, everything that Megan is saying is. Is not only true, but it's 1000% her truth. If it's not just generally true, it's definitely Megan's truth. And the way that people are taking this in, it's like, really loving, or people are just like, where has this been for forever? And let's just get into it.
Sid
Yeah, so she said that. She said, you know, we're a bunch of. She was. She was emotional in. In the post game interview. I can't even remember who they beat. I can't remember who they beat.
TP
Was it Indy?
Sid
Maybe. But they said, we're a bunch of overlooked players. We got a chip on our shoulder. And she says she was thankful for this team, this organization, because she felt like she was finally getting an opportunity and had, you know, coaches that believed in her. I saw some of the pushback that people were giving and people were talking like, I mean, well, you know, you were on a team the past couple seasons with Asia, and so it was like, you know, who were you. Who were you playing over is who they were saying. But I think the bigger. What we both know, like you said, like, when you play on a team with people, whether they get minutes or not, the players on the team and even the coaches on the team understand, like, who's capable. A lot of the times it's not just about who's capable, though. Especially in these times now with more money on the line, people have to play who they're paying a lot of money. When. When people are making three times with a backup or somebody else is making, unfortunately, you Know, not even. I don't know if it's unfortunate.
TP
Sometimes it is just circumstance.
Sid
You're not going to get. Huh? Yeah. You're not going to get as big of an opportunity. Your leash is going to be shorter because they have to continue to. To play the people that they're paying. That's the reality. But what we know on a team is who shows what in practice. So that's something that the players know, that the coaches know. If the opportunity comes, you just got to stay ready. And when. What we know about Megan from being her teammate and what we know about a lot of people that we play with is that when it's not their turn, they're still just as excited for other people. They still work their ass off. Yeah. It's gonna be moments where you're irritated in practice or in a game because, like, all right, now what the is going on? Like, I'm doing what I need to do in practice. You see that I'm capable. Still not getting the opportunity. Whatever, you know, it's life. It. It happens. But Megan just continue to work. And she's shown in other times, you know, because she. She's gone to the Olympics. Olympics. And has done well. When she plays overseas, she does well. And so, you know, Megan said, you know, she just like, I'm excited to be somewhere where I feel respected. You know, y' all done had me and pancake up for a long time now. You know what I'm saying? Like, give me my. So she said, I'm gonna go get my. And you know, kudos. Kudos to Meg. And it was funny because I posted a video talking about, you know, when we. When we didn't used to get 15 minutes in a game. You got cardio. And Derek accommodated. She was like, I think it's. I think it's 20 now. And I'm like, yeah, I bet it has gone up because if you're making 300k minimum, go, go get that damn running in.
TP
If you said it was 20 miles, it was always.
Sid
No, no. Sometimes I was on. It was 15.
TP
It was 15, but with the cases, it was 20. Because you remember, I played 1836.
Sid
Oh, I played.
TP
Yo, this is a real story. I played 18 minutes and 36 seconds and I had a really good game. I played more than some starters. I. I also took two charges in this game.
Sid
You did.
TP
So I showed up and I was like, confident that they were gonna waive my 20 minute workout rule because I'm like, I contributed actually a lot more than starters would with my minutes. And I just walked in and they were like, okay, so you have your workout today. And I like jokingly made a joke. I was like, haha. Don't those two charges make up for that minute and a half that I didn't, you know, hit on the clock? And they were like, haha, no.
Sid
And
TP
just like that, I was doing my little workout. So it does get pretty.
Sid
And that'd be the worst because then you gotta, you gotta do your workout with an attitude too. At least for the first five minutes or something.
TP
I'm like, then don't play me. Yesterday it played me zero so that I was like fresh for this workout today. Like make it make sense. Or let me just do a minute and a half of the workout. Not a full workout. Like it math for me. That's why I was irritated. I was just kind of like, I'm overworked right now and I'm certainly underpaid on this bat minimum contract.
Sid
Hell yeah. But it's like, it's like, yeah, so you don't get your time in. You got to do an extra workout. So I made a video and I was like, yeah, I didn't play, but I got like 20 plus laughs over there. So I was working and I was keeping morale high, keeping everybody ready. That's not on me. If nobody subbed me in, I don't know what you want me to do with that. But also, I'm an adult and a professional. I know how to be in shape. I don't need mandated workouts, you know what I'm saying? But whatever. Sometimes it's three on three. You're playing whatever, like it's cool. Like if we're gonna do basketball, cool. But Megan commented on the video and she was like, this is triggering. And I was about to be like, don't worry girl, we're gonna talk about you tomorrow.
TP
Yeah, because it, because it is triggering.
Sid
Like yeah, for sure.
TP
It's funny because you know everybody. It's like, not that a lot of people are in this position, but imagine having like a 10 car garage, okay? All your cars work. You have different cars that are good for different things. Like maybe you have a sports car, maybe you have like a truck. Maybe you have an suv. Like you just have different cars and you can only drive one car at a time, right? So that doesn't mean your other cars are broken. That doesn't mean your other cars aren't great at what they're used for. You just can't use them all sometimes. And like it Just happens like that. And people like Megan, people that have these positions where, like, you willingly take the role of your job, to maintain your job and also to maintain the peace in the locker room and be a good teammate. When people talk about sports, you always talk about, like, the player. The player. The player. Yeah. The player has to do what the player needs to do to buy into the team. To buy into the team aspect. And I wish that a lot of superstars would also do this, because whenever bench players go in the game, people are. You're playing, you come out the game, you start cheering like you weren't just in the game. You're contributing minutes. And also if you're not contributing minutes, you're contributing by doing something. But what people are doing is fueling into the team. In order for me to keep my job, I got to keep these clowns laughing. And guess what? Sometimes you win a championship, sometimes you get a pat on the back, sometimes you get absolutely nothing. But that's your job. Imagine if people with these roles came in there, were just so insular and so, like about me, then you probably wouldn't be on the team. You.
Sid
There was it. No, no, keep going. Well, I was gonna say, like it. Also the point about, like, staying ready and continuing to cheer when it's not your turn, which what you're seeing now is, you know, similar to what you saw with Golden State last year. You have a team constructed that doesn't have star players. You have a lot of role players, but you got belief and you got a system. You know, a system from a coach that, okay, I drafted this way for a reason. This is what we're going to run with these people. We need selflessness. We need a team mentality. And you're seeing that actually these teams are competing with everybody else in the league, you know, and. And now it's. It's apparent to people on the outside. What is known to a lot of role players in the league is that it's not that I'm not capable. I haven't been given enough of a chance to show what I can do consistently. People don't understand mentally, and, you know, I don't think any. None of us need, like, sympathy or pity party. Like you said, it's the job.
TP
It's the job.
Sid
All situations that I was in, I was grateful for it. I got a job, I got health insurance. I got, you know, I'm able to make a living. Yeah, it is what it is. I can't control every aspect of this. And there are some People who would be dying to have my position. So I'mma have gratitude for what I got and still give what I can to the team when I'm asked to give it. You know, whether it's playing, whether it's energy, whatever. But now people are seeing that, yeah, roleplay, role players from other teams. You just needed a chance and you needed to be a part of an organization that's going to let you rock, you know, because the mindset that you got to have when you don't play day in and day out to stay ready is very difficult. And what a lot of star players don't realize and the respect that they don't give to other people on their team. When you get to bitching about your situation, look, don't come to me talking about what you didn't get done in 35 minutes. So people don't understand, like, there's a certain level of preparation mentally, that you gotta have to stay ready until your name is called. And it might not be in a whole season. And not that Megan didn't play with the Aces, but it's like now you're with a. You know, you're with a team where you get more freedom and you got a longer leash.
TP
I mean, for me, I was playing. I was drafted to the shock. I was. Went with the relocation team to Dallas. I was in Dallas for a while the year before my guaranteed contract. Our starting center went down with an injury in the first couple games of the season. And guess what? I was our only backup. So I started games. My coaches actually came up to me and they're like, hey, we're gonna have to go with you. We're gonna have to go with you is crazy because I've been working my ass off for my whole life to just get an opportunity. But we're gonna.
Sid
They're like crying.
TP
They're like, we gotta know you don't want this either, but we're gonna. We're gonna play you. I'm like, okay, thanks. Cool. Meanwhile, it was my. My best friend on the team that got hurt. I'm like, wheelchairing her through the airport because this is when we were all carrying our stuff, including our teammates. I'm like, wheeling her to the airport, knowing I'm starting the game tomorrow. Like, yeah, but guess what? When she came back from injury, I continued to start because the opportunity was given. I didn't have a leash. My leash was as long as everybody else's, and I got to actually play freely.
Sid
And.
TP
And guess what? I maintained my starting role and you know what's crazy? I've never had a guaranteed contract after that year. I signed a three year deal. So like it's just. And everyone wants to talk about like opportunity this, opportunity that. It's true. I think SA Sarah Ashley was quoted saying about like how we're all empowered to be here because we were hand selected to be here. And I think that is, that stands true for a lot of expansion teams. These teams have been able to look at all these other teams, see what locker room pieces work, what pieces they need on court. But you can build an immediate foundation and you can build an immediate chemistry if you do the expansion draft. Right. Because this isn't only the case in the wnba. If you look at the last expansion draft in male sports which was go the, the Golden Knights, the, the Vegas Golden Knights, they made it to the Stanley cup in their first season after expansion and they were like, supposed to be this like unicorn thing. But really if you think about it, an expansion draft allows you the opportunity to pick the rest of the team that has been working and diligently waiting for their time and just doing the right thing so that when their opportunities does come, like Megan, she's ready. Because it's not like if Megan was just late to buses and like not working hard at practice and like being a shitty teammate. You think Megan would have had the opportunity to be in the expansion draft to get picked up and to be able to shine the way that she is.
Sid
Yeah. And you're, you're, you're playing against, you know, and it helps. You're playing against Asia all the time or in other, you know, in other people's situations. Yeah, the people ahead of you, like when they're great or very good players. It's also helpful cuz if you, if you approach it the right way. Like all right, I'm not getting my time right now but basically I'mma use practice to try to bust somebody's ass and then just you know, and prepare them for the game hope and then that'll make me ready if my number is called. So if you, if you have the right disposition about can work out for you. It can, it doesn't always know sometimes your number doesn't get called and you know that sucks. But you know she stayed ready and got opportunities. So.
TP
So shout out to Megan, shout out to everybody that's in that position. Like we know we see you and just like keep doing what you're doing, keep like building into your team. Like it'll, it'll pay off for you one way or another. So really good stuff.
Sid
Yeah, yeah, the games have. Games have been good.
TP
Really good. Man, I'm so glad the w. There's
Sid
going to be a lot of. Yeah, there's going to be a lot of parody this year. Any. Like, everybody has, like, two losses at least, so anybody can be anybody.
TP
Yeah.
Sid
Okay.
TP
Can't wait to see what the script says, though.
Sid
All right, so halftime headlines. New segment. New segment. Give it up. Give it up. All right, so we're going to run down, down just like, some big headlines in the news or ones that caught our attention. The first one be being Serena Williams is officially returning to tennis at age 44. And that's. First of all, it was. It was insane when, you know, when she retired or when she was still playing. I think she was 40 when she played her last match, if I'm not mistaken. But she was still looking good. Like, it was. It was insane. And so now she's gonna return to tennis with the Queen's doubles wild card ahead of Wimbledon. Ahead of Wimbledon. And so Queens is the prestigious grass court warm up for Wimbledon. She'll be playing alongside Victoria Imboko. Hopefully, I'm saying her name right, and I'm just. I'm excited to see it because her last match was at the U.S. open. And you got, you know, young, talented players like Coco Golf saying, you know, it'd be really cool to be able to play against her. She said. I said one of my biggest regrets was not getting to play her. Yeah. But they said a lot of people are asking, you know, why now? What do you think? What do you think about the timely health insurance?
TP
The only answer is health insurance. Like, the way prices are going up. I think she's, like, trying to plan for the future. She's like, gotta protect me and my family. I need this health insurance.
Sid
So you think Rich Serena just needs the health in health insurance.
TP
I also just think that, like, Serena. Serena is like that type of person that when you, like, close your eyes and you think about, like, who is Serena Williams? You just think that she can play into her 80s and still be pristine. You know, like, so why not? Like, why not give it another try?
Sid
Like, she looks.
TP
She looks great.
Sid
She looks good. I'm about to say the. That poster, the post that she made, she just put out a post, like, earlier today, and it was like her phone, like, dinging a bunch of times, and she was like, I need to change my phone number. Well, before you do that, Serena, shoot us a dm. Let us know your Phone number. You could DM either at unsupervised SIDCP or if you just want to do it directly to CJ Colson or t play55. Just shoot us your number so we can text you or just have a quick call and just figure out, you know, why the return. Why now we're excited about it. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. And we can come to you, girl. Like, it's. We can literally no problem. We're mobile. But this is gonna be dope. I can't wait to watch.
TP
Yes.
Sid
This is the only time I watch tennis for real is when Serena's playing or Coco or Naomi.
TP
Yeah. I like to support our. Yeah, our young black Americans or older black Americans, whatever. Middle aged black Americans.
Sid
Oh, wait, so call it now. Is she gonna win her match? Yeah, whenever she comes back, they're gonna win.
TP
Yeah.
Sid
Okay.
TP
What about you? Yeah. Ooh. I said ooh, like it was about to be an exciting headline. In other news, I don't know if you guys heard, but Orange is the new brown Donald Trump. Orange is the new brown Donald Trump shits himself constantly. But there was a video taken about how he made his motorcade late because he had to take moments. And by moments, I mean it was multiple moments to himself to release himself in a lot of different ways.
Sid
Yeah, I literally saw the video and the dude was given like color commentary and they're saying allegedly he poops on himself because of Sasha Riley saying that he like kicked that tent shake or whatever in his butt. And now he puts on himself constantly.
TP
That's the least that could happen to them, right?
Sid
If this is true, and this is not to make light of the situation because, you know, if that is what happened, which I have no problem believing. But we just got to say allegedly because we only have the. We have to say victim's testimony to go off of. But if you look at everything else these people are accused of and what they've done, I do believe it's happened. Y' all have to feel absolutely crazy. And this won't even get to the right people. But if you are following an 80 year old man, 80 year old creature that is a rapist and racist and every bad thing and shits on himself, where does it end?
TP
Y', all, I'm so sorry, but if I had to have respect for a leader, like if I'm gonna follow a leader, there's a leader that's supposed to follow me. The first thing that you need to control is your bowels. Just for starters. You have to be able to control your bowels. And if you can control your bowels, I don't want to know about it. Secondly, maybe after you can control your bowels, then, like, we'll give you a small town, small role. We're gonna see how you do there. If you can do that, like, you can graduate to something bigger. But, yeah, they just hand men with dementia and diapers just the keys of the White House.
Sid
So dementia and diapers. The double D is nuts. So that's scary. But the dude was given, like, commentary. They stepped out of the car. They were like, watch, watch, watch. His. His legs about to shake. They call it the tent shakes or something. His leg is about to shake. He was farting before that. They assumed. And then they're like, yeah, I think this is where he is shitting himself. And then you could see some of the people around him, like, walking away. So it definitely looked like, yeah, it. It stinks now, because Orange himself.
TP
Hey, really?
Sid
Orange is the new brown is.
TP
Orange is a new brown.
Sid
We're definitely going to be on their list. They're definitely going to come after us
TP
on the American terrorist list.
Sid
Yeah. But.
TP
Well, another big Trump news. He lost quite a few. This was a big weekend. It took a hit on his ego, largely. So a federal judge voted that it was federally illegal for Donald Trump to put his name on the Kennedy Center. So he has two weeks to take it down. And as you can imagine, Trump feels like the judge was very unfair in this ruling. But federal rules say that you're only allowed to have one president's name per building, and also, you have to be dead.
Sid
Yeah, Congress has to approve it. Right.
TP
And.
Sid
But Congress has to approve it. But they said that he appointed the entire board for the Kennedy center, and so they just unilaterally made that decision and just move forward. Like, you can't just. Well, you can, because they did it, but you just added a name to the Kennedy Center.
TP
We're going to add Trump to this.
Sid
Okay, so what? So what? What? I guess if we're just adding our name on what. What building would you attach yourself to? Or what would you add your name on? It could be a brand, anything. You're just gonna throw place on. On what?
TP
I'm gonna throw playsons on or tp, I guess.
Sid
Oh, you could throw it on toilet paper.
TP
That would be way too easy.
Sid
That is easy.
TP
You know what I would want? The Empire State Building. Oh, just give it to me.
Sid
Give it to me. What would I do?
TP
Give me that funk that just.
Sid
I'm gonna Just throw coast in on all, like the MLK boulevards or anything across the agencies.
TP
You're not gonna take any of the other ones. Like, MLK needs representation. So you're just trying to.
Sid
Nah, throw me on there too. This is nuts. But they're nuts.
TP
That's super interesting. Yeah, so that was exciting for him. Another big exciting thing. America is turning 250 years old today. And like any country in adolescence, we think we know better. So with that being said, there's this thing going on called America 250 and freedom 250. America 250 was put on by Congress. They just decided to throw America 250 because it's a big birthday. It's pretty much like given 4th of July, there's going to be nationwide campaigns striving to make 2026 the biggest year of volunteer service in American history, incentivizing participation. There's like America field trips where you can do all this stuff. There's an America Block Party America story. And then kind of like the Super Bowl, Trump and his administration is throwing a really exciting Freedom 250. And if it's anything like the Super Bowl, I'm sure it's going to be quite the doozy. But it's going to be super exciting because he announced nine separate artists to participate in this, apparently without their approval. Because after the announcement, every single artist outside of Kid Rock and Vanilla Ice said that they're not participating. And they never originally agreed to participate because they thought they were signing up for America 250, not Trump's 250. So Trump decided, hey, I'm going to headline this thing myself. So our three favorites. Vanilla Ice, Orange and Kid Rock. Talk about white trash throwing a big old party.
Sid
So insane, really. A lame AS party.
TP
Speaking of parties, I think we should all celebrate. You want to know why? Trump's last and final loss of the weekend is a federal judge pretty much blocked the Trader Fund, which was about like a 1.6 million billion billion dollar deal to essentially like pay back all the people that.
Sid
Insurrectionists.
TP
Yeah. That participated in Jan.6. They were like, no, we were done wrong. We didn't get to the. Yeah, no. All those people, they're saying that they're going to pay them back for all all the suffering that they went through for that. But, yeah, that just also got shut down. And Trump said that he will try to appeal that one. So don't get too excited, folks. There is still place for corruption, but for now, we're gonna take those small
Sid
victories right And I think it's also, it's also point important, you know, just for people to understand like this, not just this administration, but a lot of people in the world right now, they, they want to see people like down and hopeless and believing that this is the end and that there, there is no way out, there's not a better future. And so we all know is distraction, distraction, distraction. And even though they have done and are doing incredibly harmful things and things that, even the things that are successful, the rulings that are successful, to roll back, you know, certain laws or victories that were made decades ago, and it'll take a long time to reverse those once these maniacs are out the way. Just know that you gotta find a reason to keep smiling, to keep fighting in whatever way you can. Because like we said before, that looks different for everybody. For me and tp, we choose to address the things that are going on in the world with comedy because we're comedians and shit's a joke, these people are a joke. And do what you can to maintain your peace while still trying to do your part to fight this craziness that we're seeing. But definitely understand that just like we're seeing, these things get rejected. Because even though I don't fully, the justice system is not always just, but things do take a long time. So they're gonna say, they're gonna do a lot of things to get outraged, to get people worked up, to siphon your energy and make you feel depressed in like there's no hope. And then like we're seeing now, there are rulings that okay, no, absolutely, you can't do that actually.
TP
And not only can you not do it, it was federally illegal, right?
Sid
You know, but some things get by. You know, there are no checks and balances for some things and there are for others. But you know, y' all just continue to try to find reasons to, to, to be, to be positive in all of this though. For sure, folks.
TP
And I think, I think this next clip is, or this next piece of news is actually hilarious in the most respectful way possible. Over the weekend or last. Actually this happened a while ago. I think this just resurfaced like over the weekend or recently a woman was pulled over, a one handed woman was pulled over by the cops for texting and driving in Florida. And shout out to this to this woman that got pulled over because her humor is top tier. And we could see that in the body cam, the body cam footage, that she has a really great personality. Let's be friends. And then secondly I just can't stand a man that doubles down when he's wrong.
Sid
So tell them. Tell them what went down. I don't know. Well, I guess we can. We can. We'll probably be able to play the video, but.
TP
So a woman was pulled over for texting and driving. When the cop got out the car, his body cam footage was on. He approaches the car, you see a woman just sitting with her arms by her side. And he was like, do you know why I pulled you over today? And she's like, no, not really. And he was like, well, you were driving with your left hand and texting with your right. And then in that very moment, she lifts up like her a club arm respectfully and says, well, let's just. Because it's impossible for me to text with this arm. And he was like, no, no, I for sure saw your right hand. It was texting. And she was like, nope, still this.
Sid
She said, no, I guess you didn't. So you didn't see it.
TP
So we could just call this one a oopsie and like move on with the day. And this cop doubles, triples, quadruples, all the way down. So much that we go to court for it, girl. And that's what we love to see. We go to court. So this all has to play out in front of a judge, right? And guess what? She did win because it was impossible for her to be texting with her right hand.
Sid
This sort of incompetence in this sort of like stubbornness by a person. You gotta. Now we need to look at all citations you give all tickets, all everything, anything you're involved with. We know that even with your body cam footage being on so you know this thing's on. If she appeals this or something, what just happened here is going to be public. Other people are going to see it. Right, but you still decided to move forward. Like, that's not a same person. One thing I can't stand is people who when presented with facts, do not change their stance. No way. You saw her lift her nub and you said no, but I mean, I saw you, I saw you texting with that hand. You couldn't have. I don't know how else to say so he's psychotic and I hope he loses his job. I mean, this is what happens when cops only have to. What is their training? Like six months? Is it like six months to become.
TP
It's not long.
Sid
A cop or something? It's not long.
TP
Certainly not long enough. But also you should know that I. I think that if I asked the first grade classroom down the street if it would be possible for someone to text with without a hand. I think that people in that classroom would be able to answer more accurately than this police officer with an able body and eyes and clearly poor judgment.
Sid
No mind, though.
TP
No mind.
Sid
Such poor judgment. Such poor judgment. Yeah, that was insane. But hilarious at the same time.
TP
So shout out to her for having such a great personality. And I'm so sorry about what you're going through, but girl, you had to know that this was gonna go viral and this is your time to become a stand up comedian because. Good stuff. Really good stuff. Brand new segment. Reality tp. I'm just kidding. I don't know if it's new or not. I feel like we've made it. May have done this before or not, but Reality TP is where I'm gonna talk about my guilty pleasure, which is social experiments, which is also considered toxic. Reality dating shows. And guess what comes out this week? Sid, I know you're super pumped. It is Love Island. I don't know if any of the babysitters are Love island fans, but I will be watching and letting Sid know because Sid's a huge Love island fan too.
Sid
No, I'm not.
TP
Yeah. No. Why not?
Sid
I have seen it. I've only seen clips when you were. I've only seen it when you were watching.
TP
I love the attitude that you catch too, with these people.
Sid
Yeah. Because it's just. I'll let you keep going.
TP
No, it's really good. And save this attitude because we're gonna need this moving forward. It hasn't even started yet. And I love the attitude that you're giving right now. But Love island starts today's Monday when we're recording, so it starts, I think tomorrow. But we will be touching on this moving forward in the season. I will already announce that somebody has already been kicked off the show and it hasn't even started, which is way better than last year. Last year they waited for like 10 episodes for them to find out that somebody said the N word and then for them to have to be removed.
Sid
They said it on the show?
TP
No, they just said it in their personal lives. And then I guess whoever, like, screens the casting doesn't do a great job of like N word saying for white people because they've missed it quite a few times but find that slur and
Sid
they can't do it ever name that person.
TP
Pretty much won a season.
Sid
So it's got to be intentional.
TP
I don't know. It's like they like to stir around it. But also there's, like, some MAGA girlies on there. So I love a villain on the show. I don't. I hate them, but I, like, love to hate them. I love that I'm irritated by them.
Sid
I think I just love reality tv. I love when it was, like, real world facts, and this was Flavor Flav, you got New York on there. Who is arguably probably the best reality personality that we've ever seen on tv. And you know this stuff now I'm just like, it's just not. It's not as good as it is.
TP
I feel like everybody's, like, trying to get on reality TV now. They make it so, like, you can get on a dating show if you just, like, have a look or if you have something to you.
Sid
Yeah, but I'm like, Love island is the one where a bombshell comes.
TP
Yeah, that's whatever. But what I. What I like, love most about these things is, like, people don't scream themselves before they go on the show. If I were to go on television publicly, I would make sure that, like, my attitude was in check before I start, like, flipping out over absolutely nothing. You know, like, there's certain things that you just need to, like, make sure that you're, you know, but they need proper gauge on, like, your emotions and on the way that you handle things. Like, there was a girl last year called Hutta, and they just, like, revamped her to be like, Hurricane Hutta, and there was, like, a problem, and then, like, anyway, they're attitude. Yeah, kind of. There's kind of. Kind of an attitude.
Sid
But they need that, though. They got to have different personalities, you know, for it to be entertaining.
TP
And also, like, if anybody does vote. I've never voted for Love island, but whoever's voting, like, vote and make it make sense. That's all I have to say anyway.
Sid
Okay. I can't. I can't chime in on that.
TP
No, but you would.
Sid
I'll just.
TP
It's like, people, like, I would agree with her. They, like, vote for, like, the thing if we're all watching the same show. I'm like, they're voting for the thing that doesn't make sense. Just so they keep, like, the drama person in there. I'm like, that couple should have gone home, or that person should have gone home. And instead they kept.
Sid
So you vote for. You vote for who you feel like isn't gonna find a match or something.
TP
You're supposed to be voting for, like, the. The person that's, like, least Likely to find love or, like, the person you like the least on the island.
Sid
Oh, my gosh. How hurtful.
TP
Kinda. And also.
Sid
But I guess depending on the chemistry you see.
TP
The chemistry you see. And also, they're not allowed to have their phone. So, like, it gets really bad when they get back to their phones and they're seeing, like, A, they don't even know how they looked on television. B, they're coming back to how everyone feels that they acted on television, and it's like a really toxic spiral. Like, I hope they're all in therapy before and after the show, but I still will watch it, unfortunately.
Sid
Okay, well, then I would say great chatting with you, but you know what time it is.
TP
It goes down in the gym. It go down. It go down in the gym. It goes down echo down. All right, this is coming from a. A. Anonymous.
Sid
Hey, y'. All.
TP
I'm not sure if you're gonna see this. My name is Ashley. Never mind. Her name's Ashley. I searched you guys randomly on Wikipedia, see what it would say about y', all, and it has TP listed as a basketball player and a comedian, but not Sydney. And I think Sid should fight to be listed as a comedian as well. Thought it'd be pretty funny. Okay, thank you so much, Ashley. Hey, Ashley. For writing. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I had no idea that's what my Wikipedia page said.
Sid
Me neither.
TP
I mean, how do you feel about yours, though?
Sid
Someone must not find me funny, whoever edited it.
TP
Yeah. Isn't this, like, a public domain? Like, we could go on technically and change it ourselves.
Sid
Yeah. So I could put anything I need to put. Probably sex symbol. Probably
TP
God's gift to planet Earth.
Sid
Nobel Prize winner. Probably. I could just add a bunch of stuff.
TP
Lover of humans.
Sid
So what you got to understand, Ashley, is that it's not about how other people define me. Do you know what I'm saying? It's about how I see me. If I see me as a comedian. I don't. I don't need it to be written anywhere. You know what I mean? What do you think about yourself, Ashley? What. What are the. What are the ways that you would describe yourself? Do other people describe you that way? Does it matter if they do? It doesn't. It's about how you see yourself. It's about what you answer to.
TP
That was deep.
Sid
Thank you.
TP
That's what she said and all.
Sid
Oh, I haven't done one of those in a while. That feels good. I usually do it throughout a season, like, every day, but I'M not on a team. So then I gotta wait for you to say something on here.
TP
And yeah, I don't really set you up.
Sid
You hadn't been feeding me.
TP
No. It sucks.
Sid
No.
TP
Got you again. Actually, all I have to say this is shout out to the person upkeeping my Wikipedia page. As long as there's nothing crazy on here, I'm like, I think I'm cool with it. Like, just keep it factual, everybody. Unless it's like a good lie. Like.
Sid
Like what?
TP
Like owns a animal sanctuary or like, oh my gosh.
Sid
You know, something sweet for you on an animal sanctuary. Take care of your barking ass dogs disrupting show time.
TP
And also, that's not a fireable offense.
Sid
Nobody said anything.
TP
Hey, I just got this job like a year ago. Just please.
Sid
You're right. My dog.
TP
No, I appreciate it.
Sid
Wait, tp. We. You could end the show with it. You wanted to say thank you for your. Your hissy well wishes.
TP
Yeah, y'. All really great news. The hissy went well? It went well enough thus far. I have like my follow up appointments this week, so we're going to make sure everything's great. But surgery went well. Syd kept me alive all the days that she was taking care of me.
Sid
If y' all were mostly M. But
TP
yeah, and Mi Mi did. She was doing the Lord's work. But I saw all the videos and texts and comments on YouTube and Instagram and Tik Tok etc. You guys are beyond sweet and supportive. So much so that my aunt an. I know my Aunt Anne's listening to the show right now, so. Hello, Ananya. My Nana brought to my attention that the followers of the show were so sweet and so kind and I just wanted to reiterate like, how much it meant to me, a complete stranger to you guys, like what your outpour of love has felt for. For me during this time. And everything is good and I am on the up and up. So. Yeah, this has been the longest I've gone without being on my period in over a year and some change. So this is really like life changing for me and I'm like very, very happy. And I thank you for coming to take care of me and spending time with me. Even though I wasn't like the easiest patient at first, hopefully we, you know, got a little better.
Sid
Yeah, no, y', all, she was giving me like a lot, a lot of attitude. I mean, cuz her. Her mom, her. Her grandma, my family, like, they're calling. Yeah, they're calling me and Marty. I mean, blowing up our phone I'm like, well, your family is. They are concerned, you know, that maybe we are not. I don't even think it was about us. They just want to know how you're doing. So that first day, we're having to make sure that she takes. She eats and takes medicine at a certain time. And I'll go in there. She's like, I just want to sleep. And I'm like, yeah, but, you know, like, your mom's calling, and she's saying, you know, like, you need to. You need to take this medicine before the pain kicks in. And she's like, well, you know, if you would stop coming in here maybe every few minutes, then I could get some rest. And then I wouldn't even feel the pain. And I wanted to call her a whiny little. But I just walked out instead and told Marty, I said, hey, I'll let you go in there next time. She's got a little bit of a dude right now, but I get it. You got your. You got organs.
TP
I got organs taken out. There are hormonal organs as well. Like, I might be fluctuating. I am going through, like, heat flashes and stuff. So all my menopause girlies out there, you're doing the Lord's work for, like, just holding it all in. I've been having hot flashes like crazy, and it's not fun. Like, I don't. I don't even know how to describe a hot flash to somebody other than, like, you feel hot and cold air can hit you, but your skin isn't, like, receiving cool. It's like you're just feeling like it's hot. Everything's hot. It's the most miserable thing in the world. But shout out to everybody that was just showing some love, and I am doing better, so thank you.
Sid
Yeah. We love you, dog. We love you. And babysitters, we love you all, too. Y' all already know what it is. DMS at Unsupervised SID tp. I switched the order. Y' all thought I was gonna do the regular way. No, nothing's regular about this life. Y' all gotta realize this is your life. Take control of it. You don't have to do stuff the same way every day. Choose one thing to change. Just like I didn't say DM Us at Unsupervised SID tp. At the end, I switched it to the beginning. You can do that with your day. Wake up and do something different. You don't got to. You don't have to. You don't have to. Brush your teeth first. You can wake up and you can meditate first. You can say, this is the day that I want to have, and then
TP
you'll smell your brush.
Sid
Positive things, 100%. So if y' all need toothpaste recommendations, if you want to give us advice or you need us to give you some, you want to send your business DM us at. Oh, no, I already said at the beginning. We love y'. All. Tp.
TP
Yeah. Make sure you're always throwing kindness around like confetti. Till next week, babysitters. We're gonna miss y'.
Sid
All.
TP
We out.
CJ Colson
Yeah. Yeah.
Sid
Okay.
CJ Colson
We say what we want and yeah, we say what we feel Sitting tmp of the mix and they be keeping it real on brand, off topic, out of pocket anything you need, they got it watch you shop when you know they going to block it when it's game time and you know I'm going to block it man, we cover everything like who harder than us and yeah, we looking down on haters cuz they smaller than us and yeah, my flow is so damn sick I be coughing it up you said that we going flat well then I'm calling your bl unsupervised. Unsupervised. Unsupervised.
TP
Ra.
Date: June 4, 2026
Hosts: Syd Colson & Theresa "TP" Plaisance
In this episode of "Unsupervised," best friends, former WNBA teammates, and infectious comedians Syd and TP do what they do best—bounce from headline to headline, keep it real, and serve up both laughter and insight. The main arc centers on the overlooked struggles and uncelebrated joys of WNBA bench players, inspired by Megan Gustafson’s recent candid interview about finally feeling respected. Along the way, the duo riffs on wild sports moments, Pride Month headlines, pop culture, political absurdities, and a healthy dose of reality TV recaps.
The episode is an energetic, irreverent ride through the world of women’s basketball, Pride, politics, reality TV, and day-to-day affirmations. Syd and TP’s chemistry and comedic agility keep things both real and hysterical, offering rare behind-the-scenes perspectives on sports and society while never losing sight of joy—even (or especially) in adversity. Perfect for listeners who want wit, candor, and the feeling of hanging out with your funniest, smartest friends.
