Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you. And we have got a lot to talk about on today's show, including some very exciting news for people of the Catholic faith center around the world, but really also in America with history being made. The Pope is from the United States of America.
Bob Pittman
Well, it's an extraordinary week. A great deal is happening. We have white smoke at the Vatican. We have a new Pope. The Pope is American. We're going to talk about that. We're going to break that down. We're also going to talk about Bernie Sanders and the left being exposed as utter and complete hypocrites, flying on private jets and explaining it's really the only choice for people like them. We're also going to break down Joe Biden. Joe Biden went on tv. We discovered he's come out of hiding. He went on tv. And what little sense he makes, he's blaming the loss in 2024 on racism, on sexism, on everything except his disastrous record and his policies that simply don't work. And finally, we're going to tell you about an unbelievable story about Planned Parenthood being caught in a sting in an undercover operation prescribing sex change hormones to minors. It is horrific. They are caught red handed. And we're going to give you all the facts.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's really incredible. And let's start with what we mentioned a moment ago with the Pope. It's a historic development. Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost of Chicago has been elected as the 267th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. This marks the first time an American has ascended to the to the papacy. And I've got a lot of friends that are Catholic. They were beyond thrilled about this announcement that was made following the appearance of that white smoke you mentioned from the Sistine Chapel signaling the successful conclusion of the Conclave. This is a big moment for the.
Bob Pittman
U.S. well, it is. And it's a big moment for the world. You have over a billion faithful Catholics across the globe. And a new Pope is a moment of history, a moment of great import, certainly in the Catholic faith, but also also great import across the world. And for the Pope to be an American, that's a big deal for our country. That's never happened. I was reading Nostradamus apparently predicted that we would see that the next pope would be Italian. It turns out that prediction was not accurate. But I guess you can't fault Nostradamus for not foreseeing America. But instead, we have a pope. You know, we'll know many more details on the Pope as time goes forward, but we know several things just from the early reporting. We know that this is according to the New York Times quote, as bishop in Chiclayo, a city in northwestern Peru, he opposed a government plan to add teachings on gender in schools. The promotion of gender ideology is confusing because it seeks to create genders that don't exist, he told local news media. New York Times also reported that quote. In a 2012 address to bishops, he lamented that Western news media and popular culture fostered sympathy for beliefs and practices that are at odds with the gospel. And he told the Vatican's official news website last year that the bishop is not supposed to be a little prince sitting in his kingdom. Rather, he said, a church leader is called to be authentically, to be humble, to be close to the people he serves, to walk with them, to suffer with them. And I certainly hope and pray that God's blessings will be on him and that he will convey God's love to the Catholic Church and to the world.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it really is cool. The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, also coming out with a statement. Here is what he had to say as well. They have already spoken to us, and we'll see what happens.
Ben Ferguson
But again, to have the Pope from the United States of America, that's a great honor. That's a great honor.
Bob Pittman
Watching. And they said, he's from America.
Ben Ferguson
I said, that's great.
Bobby Bones
I love the candor there. He's like, I'm watching it. And this is the part about selecting the Pope that is really, I think, one of those moments. I was in the airport when it was happening, and everybody was watching it. Like it was almost like a World Series or a moment in history where you remember kind of where you were and every TV people around it. And then the smoke came up, the white smoke, and people were clapping in excitement over this. And it's kind of cool, Senator, that you've got A president that finds out the same way everyone else does. No insider information. You're watching, you wait. And it's old school in that way, with a lot of history.
Bob Pittman
Yeah, no, that's right. And I'll say you and I have to be a little bit careful because we're two Southern Baptists discussing the selection of the Pope within the Catholic Church. And for faithful Catholics, they believe that God has ordained the Pope. And I do believe God raises up leaders across the world in all sorts of contexts. And so it is a moment of great spiritual import to faithful Catholics, but it's also a moment of great consequence to the country. You know, you look back at Pope John Paul, and you and I, we remember the Reagan presidency and the leadership that President Reagan had and that Margaret Thatcher had and that Pope John Paul had. The three of them quite literally changed the world and defeated the Soviet Union. And so the Pope is someone who is listened to everywhere. And I hope that this American Pope, I wish him all the best. I'm proud that he's an American. And we will learn more about who he is, what his passions are, what his beliefs are. All of that will come in the days and weeks and months ahead. But. But an American Pope is really something quite extraordinary.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it really is. And it's going to also be very interesting to see, as those words that you read earlier, how big of an impact this pope could have. And being a leader, and not just, as he described it, sitting there, but actually leading on some of these issues. There is a lot, I think, of hope now for many that a new pope will mean that, yeah, there are some strong stances that can be taken on different issues and can lead around the world. You talk about Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan and the Pope, I mean, it was somewhat described, I think, in history, unorthodox for the Pope to get that involved in the way that he did, yet that was the type of leader that people wanted at the time. And I think that's part of the reason why every time there's a new Pope, there's a moment of excitement, of, okay, what could we see now? And if you have someone like this pope from America that's on the record on some of these issues, there is some excitement around what could he lead on and how could that impact the world?
Bob Pittman
Well, and we've seen that as a cardinal, that he has been on social media and he's been critical of Donald Trump and critical of J.D. vance. And I hope, as Pope, he does not use the papacy to advocate, for example, for open borders and for the kinds of disasters that we saw over the last four years. But that's going to be a choice that he's going to make and it's going to have real consequences. What he chooses to speak out on, what he chooses to focus on, it's going to have a consequence for Catholics across the world, but it'll have a consequence for discussion and world leaders across the world as well.
Bobby Bones
Center I want to move to Bernie Sanders. It was one of those oof moments this week. Called out for his hypocrisy on his Fighting Oligarchy tour. Now this is a tour that he and AOC famously jet setted. I'm not exaggerating around the country to speak to the big crowds as they're trying to lead the Democratic Party. Nothing says a communist or a socialist like taking a private jet, but telling others you can't do the same thing. He was asked about it. It didn't go very well.
Bob Pittman
No, it did not. And I gotta say, there are moments when the left, it becomes impossible to satirize them because they are a living Saturday Night Live sketch. Like at this point, they're simply parody. So Bernie Sanders is in the middle, as you said, of a fighting oligarchy tour. So he is standing up to the man, to those terrible rich people. So rich, bad oligarchs, bad. That's his message. Remember, he's a socialist. And to do his fighting oligarchy tour, he's gotta be on a private jet everywhere. And mind you, he and aoc, what are they most known for other than being socialist nutcases? Well, the Green New Deal saying that carbon emissions are gonna destroy us all. And so if you don't stop your carbon emission, you're destroying humanity. Well, I gotta say, Bernie went on Fox and Brett Baer asked him about it. And here, give a listen to his answer. Alyssa Slotkin, Senator from Michigan.
Ben Ferguson
She said you shouldn't be using oligarch.
Bobby Bones
It's over people's head. You've gotten criticized from other people.
Ben Ferguson
Free Beacon says Bernie Sanders spent 221,000.
Bob Pittman
On private jets fighting the Oligarchy tour.
Ben Ferguson
Paid for by friends of Bernie Sanders.
Bob Pittman
That you've spent millions of dollars in campaign funds on private jet travel over the years.
Ben Ferguson
How do you push back on both of those things? When's the last time you saw Donald Trump during a campaign mode at National Airport? No, no, no, it doesn't. But he's also not fighting the oligarchy. No, you and you run a campaign.
Bobby Bones
And you do three or four or.
Ben Ferguson
Five rallies in a week.
Bob Pittman
The only way you can get around.
Ben Ferguson
To talk to 30,000 people.
Bob Pittman
Think I'm going to be sitting on.
Ben Ferguson
A waiting line at United. Waiting. You know what? 30,000 people are waiting. That's the only way you can get around. No apologies for that. That's what campaign travel is about. We've done it in the past, we're going to do it in the future. And you think that this is hitting a mark? You think it's, it's scratching the itch that voters want to hear from.
Bob Pittman
I think at a time when the.
Ben Ferguson
People on top are doing phenomenally well, when seniors, working class people are struggling, people want to hear action to stand up to the people who have the.
Bob Pittman
Wealth and the power and create an.
Ben Ferguson
Economy that works for all of us, not just the people on top.
Bob Pittman
Look, I gotta say, no apologies. The oligarchs, they do not apologize to the peasants they're lying to. By the way, he did find flat out lie right there on Fox News. He says you can't do three or four rallies in a week flying on commercial airlines in United. Well, you know what? I fly United every single week. I'm doing it back and forth and back and forth. And I've done a heck of a lot more than three or four rallies flying United or Southwest. And in fact, in just a few minutes, I'm headed to the airport and I'm gonna stand in line. I'm gonna fly Delta this time, and it is the entitlement. No apologies. I'm standing up to the oligarchs in my private jet. And no acknowledgement that Bernie Sanders has the carbon footprint of a small town, mind you. The Green New Deal, they want to restrict your life because of carbon emissions. He could have flown commercial and not emitted all that carbon, but it's not worth it. And you know who did the exact same thing? John Kerry. Another wealthy hypocrite who flew on a private jet up to Iceland. And this is ironic to accept a climate award. Give a listen to John Kerry explaining why he flew a private jet to Iceland on that issue.
Ben Ferguson
Pollution. I understand that you came here with a private jet. Is that an environmental way to travel? If you offset your carbon? It's the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle.
Bobby Bones
I negotiated the Paris Accords for the United States.
Ben Ferguson
I've been involved in this fight for years.
Bobby Bones
I negotiated with President Xi to bring President Xi to the table so we could get Paris.
Ben Ferguson
And I believe the time it takes me to get somewhere. I can't sail across the ocean. I have to fly, to meet with people and get things done.
Bobby Bones
But what I'm doing almost full time.
Ben Ferguson
Is working to win the battle of climate change. And in the end, if I offset.
Bobby Bones
And contribute my life to do this, I'm not going to be put on the defensive. I love that. I'm not going to be put on the defensive. And he acts like his only other option to see the world or travel the world for these meetings. As he describes to get on a boat. He was on a private plane. 99.99% of people that fly around the world fly on a commercial plane. He was asked about being on a private jet and he acted like, well, there's no other option for a guy like me. It's either a boat or a private jet. No, there's commercial planes. You could get on like normal people every day.
Bob Pittman
Well, and listen to the smug entitlement. It's the only choice for someone like me. That's what he said. It's the only choice for someone like me. Just like Bernie Sanders. I will not apologize. And the utter hypocrisy with the Green New Deal, with the Paris Climate Accords. What they are trying to do is restrict your life. They're trying to. They're trying to ban airplanes. They're trying to ban the internal combustion engine, they're trying to drive up your electricity bills. They're trying to make your life harder. And they're utter and complete hypocrites. The reason they're doing it is they say if we keep admitting carbon, we're all gonna die. The oceans are gonna rise and humanity is gonna be extinct. It's gonna be extinct in 12 years. By the way, have you noticed, Ben, it's always 12 years. 40 years ago, the world was gonna end in 12 years. 30 years ago, the world was gonna End in 12 years. 20 years ago, the world was gonnaend in 12 years. John Kerry said the North Pole would be gone. The ice on the North Pole would be gone. There's actually more ice on the North Pole now, but it doesn't matter. They are lying when they say they believe this, because if they believed it, they wouldn't get on a private jet to do their fighting oligarchy tour. They wouldn't get on a private jet to go to Iceland to get an award for apparently fighting for the climate. That hypocrisy is through and through. It is who they are. And it demonstrates. I think the funny one is believe the words.
Bobby Bones
They're saying, well, in Al Gore, this guy's made a lot of money selling this lie that the world was gonna end. He has made money. It is documented. It's well documented. And Kerry again buy my way out of my sins.
Bob Pittman
Yeah, he said I buy an offset. And by the way, you've got a lot of left wing Democrats making money on the offset scam, which is a way they can excuse. You know, both John Kerry and Bernie Sanders remind me of an old commercial from when we were kids of the fellow who rolls down the window of the, of the, the Rolls Royce and says, pardon me sir, might you have some gray Poupon? That is John Kerry and that is Bernie Sanders.
Bobby Bones

Fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?

No.

It became known as the Iran Contra.
Ben Ferguson
Affair, and I'm not taking any more questions. In just a second, I'm going to ask.
Bob Pittman
I'm Leon Naifak, co creator of Slow Burn. The best way to understand all sides of an issue is to know all sides of an issue. Can't get that in the mainstream media. Which is why you've got to listen to some Klay and Buck for another point of view. Buck, why are you going third person? Because, Clay, I think this ad is running in places that might not exactly align with all of our politics or even know who we are. It's impossible. But even if it's true, I bet if they did listen, they'd end up agreeing with us on at least one issue, even if they secretly want it middlet. Well, the only way they're going to find out is if they download the code. Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show podcast on the iHeartRadio app or wherever they get their pods. We're easy to find. Unlike your wife at Costco, Clay, you speak the truth. But we're already losing people. I think I gained one or two just now. Hi, I'm Bob Pittman, chairman and CEO of iHeartMedia. On this week's episode of Math and Magic, I'm sitting down with the one and only Bobby Bones. We're exploring the power of audio.
Bobby Bones
The word on the street then was he's too country for pop. But then once I got to country, it was, he's too pop for country. So I kind of never really had a place to fit in, but that's exactly how and why I fit. I just embraced that. Like, yeah, I don't fit into one specific hole. I think that is what endeared me to listeners. That's why I'm here now, because I talk to people that grew up like me, have sensibilities like me, and have loyalties like me.
Bob Pittman
Listen to math and magic stories from the frontiers of Marketing on the iHeartRadio.

App, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Senator, we gotta talk about Joe Biden for a second. He has come out of hiding. He's actually doing more interviews now than when he was running for president and he's apparently writing a book and making money doing speeches. He's all in now.
Bob Pittman
Well, Joe Biden came out of the hole he was hiding in and he saw his shadow. So I don't know if that means that spring is going to last another six weeks. I'm not sure what that means. But he decided when he came out of hiding to go on Fox News, to go on BBC, to go on ABC's the View. So he was just making the rounds on Fox News. He was asked if he left the race too late to stop Trump, if his delay cost the Democrats the race, and unsurprisingly said, I don't think it would have mattered. So, of course, he exonerated himself completely. He bears none of the fault for the loss. But that wasn't nearly as ridiculous as what he said on BBC. So on BBC, listen to why Joe Biden said that he stepped away from the race. Give a listen. Should you have withdrawn earlier, given someone else a bigger child?
Ben Ferguson
I don't think it would have mattered. We left at a time when we had a good candidate, she was fully funded, and what happened was I had become what we had set out to do, no one thought we could do and become so successful in our agenda. It was hard to say, now, I'm going to stop now.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I didn't think it could get any worse. But yet here we are, and this is still the de facto leader of the Democratic Party saying it was so successful, it was hard to just stop. And people had a hard time with that.
Bob Pittman
Yeah, that clearly explains everything. That's clearly the reason he dropped out of the race because he was so successful. It's clearly the reason Trump won, because Joe Biden was so successful. It's clearly the reason we had a landslide election across the country. And understand there was no ambiguity in this election of the Seven swing states. Donald Trump won all seven. He won the popular vote. Republicans won the House, Republicans won the Senate. It was an absolute repudiation of, of the train wreck that was Joe Biden, the Democrats extreme agenda. And yet he's living in this world where. Well, it was just because I was so successful that, you know, I mean, you know, of course he was so successful. And listen on the View then when he's downplaying President Trump's victory in 2024, give a listen to what Biden had to say on the View. Mr. President, you had previously said that you thought that you would have won. Since then, Donald Trump won all the battlegrounds states and made inroads with almost every major demographic from working class voters to Hispanic men to black men. Knowing what you know now, do you think you would have beat him?
Ben Ferguson
Yeah. He still got 7 million fewer votes. Yes. Okay. A lot of people didn't show up, number one. Number one. Number two, the, they're very close in those, those toss up stage. It was, it wasn't a slam dunk. And so look, I, you know, every time I've been on the show, which you've been fortunate. I've been fortunate to be on more than once, you, thanks for having me. Is that we talk. You guys don't focus on as much. And I think it's good on polling numbers. But let me put it this way. He's had the worst hundred days any president's ever had.
Ted Cruz
Yeah.
Ben Ferguson
That's a fact. And I would not say honesty's been a strong point. Yeah, yeah, well.
Bob Pittman
Mr.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I don't even know what that answer was. The one thing that was funny in there, Senator, is the fact that he's like, I love that you guys don't look at poll numbers because the poll numbers would say it's the complete opposite of what I'm saying right now. Yet he goes back to polls and says, oh, well, I had more votes than he did and it wasn't a slam dunk. When you win all of the swing states, that is literally the definition of a political slam dunk that every candidate dreams about when they're running for president.
Bob Pittman
Yeah. And look, you know his comment about the View. Oh, I love going on the View. I go on it all the time. You know, as you know, I've been on the View three different times. They won't have me back. The last three books I wrote for each of the last, well, for rather two of the last three books, I went on the View and for my last one they said, no, thanks, we don't want you back. We don't want you back because it went so badly for them, because they are screaming left wing harpies who are fundamentally dishonest. And so it's a great place. So when. When. When Biden says it's the worst first hundred days in history, and everyone there applauds, oh, yes, oh, yes, beautiful Joe. It's the worst one. You know what they didn't discuss? They didn't discuss that illegal border crossings are down 99.9% because that. That would actually be a fact. And Joe Biden doesn't discuss facts. Although I will say this. Joe Biden did make a concession on the View, and he made a concession that his debate performance was a train wreck. That is indisputable. But give a listen to what he had to say about it.
Bobby Bones
You know what freaked everybody out was that debate.
Ben Ferguson
Yep.
Bobby Bones
It wasn't a great night. It was a bad night.
Ben Ferguson
Terrible night.
Bobby Bones
And everybody lost their minds because, of course, no one has ever had a.
Ben Ferguson
Bad night when they would. Nobody tries to have a bad night.
Bobby Bones
Sometimes it happens.
Ben Ferguson
So this is what started both sides with this.
Bobby Bones
Oh, he can't do this. This needs to stop.
Ben Ferguson
Why do you think that caught fire? Why do you think people bought into it, especially the Democrats? Well, first of all, we still were winning primaries. We were still doing everything. The Democratic Party at large didn't buy into it, but the Democratic leadership and some of the very significant contributors did, even though we raised enormous. Like when I left the race, Kamala had hundreds of millions of dollars. She had the best organized campaign. Every organization, every state was organized, et cetera. But, you know, what happens is that took on a life and I had a very. I'm going to say something outrageous. I've lost many debates in my life. I've been pretty good at doing that. I was sick. I was. No excuse, but I was not.
Bobby Bones
It's an explanation.
Ben Ferguson
And I had a bad, bad night. And. And I had. Anyway, I'm not cutting.
Bob Pittman
Did you immediately know you had had a bad night?
Ben Ferguson
Yeah, I did. But even after that, the polls just showed me down by two points. And Hannah, you know, Joe came on. I went onto the stage after the debate.
Bobby Bones
I mean, we all saw it.
Ben Ferguson
It was terrible.
Bob Pittman
And so Joe looked at me and he said, I.
Ted Cruz
Well, I'll use screwed up.
Ben Ferguson
He said, he didn't say that.
Bob Pittman
And I said, we all know Joe Biden.
Ben Ferguson
We know what he said. And I said, yeah, you did, Joe.
Bob Pittman
But we have hundreds of people waiting.
Ben Ferguson
For Us, put your shoulders back, walk.
Ted Cruz
Out there, you know, be who you are.
Ben Ferguson
And we were not going to let.
Bobby Bones
90 minutes of a debate define his.
Ted Cruz
Presidency and all those years of service.
Bobby Bones
It's very interesting how they brought out the former first lady to answer the question that actually went to him and she jumped in.
Bob Pittman
You know, if your wife has to jump in and say, you're not incompetent, you're not mentally diminished, that tells you something. If your wife has to step in and take that question for you. But the words he said accurately. He said, I had a bad, bad night. And you and I did this podcast verdict. We did it that night. We did it right after. After the debate. We put out a special podcast. And you and I predicted that night that that was the most consequential presidential debate in the history of the country. And the reason we predicted that is we said, joe Biden is going to drop out of this race. He will not be the nominee because of this debate. So he's suggesting, gosh, I had a bad debate, but everyone was fine. The Democrat Party was fine, really. I seem to recall George Clooney writing saying he went to a fundraiser and was so incoherent that you couldn't understand what he was saying. But, you know, Biden does respond later on in the View when there are reports questioning his cognitive abilities, and listen to what he says on that. Mr. President, since you left office, there have been a number of books that have come out, deeply sourced from Democratic sources, that claim in your final year, there was a dramatic decline in your cognitive abilities in the. In the final year of your presidency. What is your response to these allegations, or are these sources wrong?
Ben Ferguson
They are wrong. There's nothing to sustain that, number one. Number two, you know, think of what. What we're left with. We left with a circumstance where we. We had an insurrection when I started, we did not sense a civil war. We had a circumstance where we were in a position that we. Well, the pandemic, because of the incompetence of the last outfit, end up over a million people dying. A million people dying. And we're also in a situation where we found ourselves unable to deal with a lot of just basic issues, which I won't go into in interest of time. And so we went to work and we got it done.
Bob Pittman
Well, what he got done was the most disastrous presidency in history. And his mental decline wasn't just the last year, it was the entire presidency. They kept him hidden. I'll tell you, Republican senators, the White House didn't let us talk to him all four years. And that's a big part of the reason his mental decline and his disastrous record that he lost. And Donald Trump is once again the president.
Bobby Bones
Senator, in our final segment, I want to talk about something that is shocking. This is exactly why we do the show, why we do a podcast three days a week and what you're about to hear right now. I hope that you will share it. Grab the podcast, subscribe, hit that auto download button and share the podcast wherever you are on social media. This is why we do the show, to get stories like this out to the masses. This one deals with shocking expose on Planned Parenthood. They have now been exposed for prescribing hormones to minors in an undercover investigation.
Bob Pittman
Well, that's right. Planned Parenthood was caught in a sting and undercover phone calls were made by the pro life activist group Live Action. And it showed that Planned Parenthood clinics across multiple states offer cross sex hormone treatments to minors as young as 17 with very little parental supervision and very little medical supervision. Live Action did an undercover investigation in which a woman posed as a 16 year old minor and she called dozens of Planned Parenthood locations seeking what she called gender affirming care. At least seven different facilities said sure they would provide cross sex hormones at the first appointment. So not after a long consultation, just immediately. First appointment, come on in, we'll give you those hormones. Several instances, Planned Parenthood told the caller she could choose to meet with the provider virtually and have access to the cross sex hormones the very same day. And this is after being told the person is a minor and that they had just begun considering trying to medically change their sex. In Minnesota and in Oregon, facilities there said they could schedule the minor within days or even on the very same day. This is what Planned Parenthood is doing. Five different facilities stated that no prior therapy, zero, no mental health clearance and no prior documentation was needed to obtain cross sex hormones. And understand these hormones can do irreparable damage to children. They can sterilize children. They can permanently harm a child. And Planned Parenthood is, is a multi billion dollar business that is more than happy to sterilize your child without you even knowing about it.
Bobby Bones
By the way, we've got this audio and I want to play this coming from Live Action where you describe them trying to schedule this and I want people to listen to it. And again, this is when we ask for you to help get this out. No one's covering this in the media. This is why we ask you to grab the podcast and Share it so that others can hear this right now.
Bob Pittman
Thank you for calling Planned Parenthood. Thank you for choosing Planned Parenthood Greater New York. Thank you for calling Planned Parenthood.
Ben Ferguson
Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota.
Bobby Bones
Hello.
Bob Pittman
Good afternoon.
Ted Cruz
Thank you for calling Planned Parenthood.
Bob Pittman
Hi, my name's Sophia.
Bobby Bones
I'm just trying to schedule some gender affirming care.
Bob Pittman
I really just want to be able.
Bobby Bones
To get some testosterone to start my journey.
Bob Pittman
So we just have to start by.
Ted Cruz
Booking your initial appointment so you can.
Bob Pittman
Come in to see one of our providers. Are you over 18?
Bobby Bones
No, I'm 16.
Bob Pittman
You're good to be seen here then. 16 and older.
Bobby Bones
Okay, good. You're okay to do it for minors? Yes.
Bob Pittman
You can legally get hormones under 18.
Ted Cruz
How old are you?
Bob Pittman
16.
Bobby Bones
I know my mom has to come in with me.
Bob Pittman
And does she have to be in there the whole time?
Bobby Bones
Like, how does that work?
Bob Pittman
Cause I don't know if I'm comfortable with that. At some point at the appointment, maybe she doesn't have to be in the examining room with you. You said I could do it virtually. Yeah, you could do it virtually.
Bobby Bones
So what would that look like?
Bob Pittman
So I'd just talk to a doctor.
Bobby Bones
And then they'd be able to prescribe me?
Bob Pittman
Yes. If it's virtual, you'll still meet with the doctor and then go over, like, all necessary information. At the end, they will then be prescribing hormones that would then be scripted out to, like, your local pharmacy. I don't need any, like, therapy or anything first. Like, you don't need any record of that? Not that I know of.
Bobby Bones
I don't need any sort of, like, records of having gone to therapy or anything like that.
Bob Pittman
Right, yeah.
Ted Cruz
So unless you have Tricare insurance, it.
Bob Pittman
Would not be required.
Bobby Bones
There's nothing that I need before. Right. Like, I don't need to, like, have records and meeting with a therapist or anything.
Bob Pittman
Right.
Bobby Bones
Because my parents definitely aren't gonna let me do that. No, I just decided last week, and so I kind of want to get in as soon as possible.
Bob Pittman
Do you have any appointments available soon?
Ted Cruz
Yeah, it depends on the location too, but we usually do have availability for.
Bob Pittman
Like, the next week of whenever you call.
Bobby Bones
You think that if I came in.
Bob Pittman
Went over everything with the doctor and.
Bobby Bones
They could send the prescription that day?
Bob Pittman
Yes, I think they should be able to. The provider is going to send the.
Ted Cruz
Prescription to your pharmacy the same day of your appointment.
Bobby Bones
Oh, perfect. Okay. So I can get the hormones the same day.
Bob Pittman
Some pharmacies do take a little bit to get it together. But, yeah, if not the same day, then more than likely the very next day.
Bobby Bones
Perfect.
Bob Pittman
Thank you for calling. You have a great day.
Bobby Bones
I mean, you hear that, Senator? And it makes you so angry because what you're hearing is the underworld of, hey, we don't need parents.
Bob Pittman
We don't need parents. We don't need doctors. We don't need evidence. And by the way, the defenders of this mutilation, and these are also the folks that defend surgeries where you're actually physically sterilizing little boys or little girls. The defenders of this, they say, oh, it's the result of a long, you know, therapy and a medical condition. It's very clear Planned Parenthood doesn't give a flip what your medical condition is. That's not their business. They're in the business of selling. They're in the business of selling abortions, which is their main business, but they're also in the business of selling sterilizing kids because, look, cross sex hormones, and that includes testosterone or estrogen given to the opposite gender. They're meant to alter the body to show characteristics of the opposite gender. And they can alter the body's natural makeup, they can alter the functions of the body, but they can also result in numerous side effects, including permanent infertility. And Lila Rose, who's the president of Live Action and a tremendous warrior standing for life. Here's what Lila Rose said. She said that the investigation exposes, quote, a chilling reality that Planned Parenthood is fast tracks tracking vulnerable children into irreversible hormone treatments. With almost no medical oversight. These dangerous drugs can sterilize, stunt growth, and leave lifelong scars. This is not health care. It is child abuse, and it must be stopped.
Bobby Bones
It really is incredible. The last question I have to ask you on this is after this type of information comes out, is there any role that Congress can play in getting involved now that we see this so clearly?
Bob Pittman
Absolutely. And every year, Planned Parenthood gets more than $700 million in federal taxpayer dollars. That needs to end. We need to defund Planned Parenthood. You shouldn't be forced to pay for the sterilization of kids. You shouldn't be forced to pay for abortions all over the country. And so I hope we will see leadership in Congress. I'm certainly fighting to defund Planned Parenthood, and I hope we get it done this year. Right now.
Bobby Bones
It's truly an incredible story. And this is where we hope. You take the show. You share it on social media, hit that share button, forward it.
