President Trump and Iran have reportedly signed their long-awaited peace memorandum ahead of schedule, reopening the Strait of Hormuz and setting a 60-day countdown toward a permanent agreement; a Republican civil war continues to wage in the Senate over the SAVE America Act.

In fact, here's footage of the President of the United States doing that last night. Palace of Versailles. Take a look. This is shared by Dan Scavino from the White House. There's that famous presidential signature using one of those famous presidential markers. Bravo, Bravo, says Emmanuel Macron. Bravo. As they sign it. There's Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who's assisting the President through this. He takes the document from him. Thank you, everybody. Bravo. And then I got another angle for you. This was shared by Emmanuel McCrone last night. It looks like he signed maybe multiple pages here. You know, it's kind of like, you know, buying a house or a car or something. You got to sign a couple of signature lines. Here's a different moment last night from the, from the French president. Watch.
Mike Lee
This was not easy, I can tell you.
Vince
There he goes, holding up the document. This was not easy. He said, all right, there you go. So big signatures on the documents. I think the difference. I was curious about this. Like, this seems very confusing because remember they had digital signatures earlier this week, and then they said, well, we got to do another signature. What? I don't. What, what's with all these signatures? Why do we have a thousand signatures on this thing? Well, the digital signatures took place and now apparently the physical signatures, they must have, you know, scanned and faxed the documents over because you have signatures now from three different countries, the United States, Iran and Pakistan, which was involved as an intermediary here to negotiate the beginnings, the makings of this deal and which we will now go through. It's funny, somebody in our chat is setting me up perfectly here. I think that's Leoni Ali. I think that's the name of the person they say, Vince, everybody's reporting that the deal stinks. It's worse than the Obama deal.
Mike Lee
Yeah.
Vince
This is why most people should not be in charge of anything. I don't know if you've seen this in the last 24 hours, but there is so much hysteria going on that it's a clear reminder that lots of people are not built for leadership, that they do not have the temperament in order to be able to process and handle chaos. Pay attention in any moment of this kind of chaos. Just pay attention to who keeps their feet planted, who keeps their head, who's thinking clearly in the midst of all of that. The answer to that obviously is the President of the United States here. But I'm going to walk through why these hysterical allegations that, oh, President Trump is, is failing. This is surrender. He's waving the white flag of surrender. This is idiocy. And I'll, and I'll, and I'll give you an explanation as to why. Now, it would help if we set the stage for where Iran is right now. Iran has been utterly set back by decades. Any claim that Iran is somehow stronger than all of this began ignores entirely what has occurred within Iran over the course of this conflict. Iran has lost its economic capabilities immensely. They've been destroyed. They're in an economic chokehold right now. Their military is virtually non existent. The military itself, the conventional military, has been sunk to the bottom of the sea when it comes to their navy, their air force has been utterly destroyed. Their ballistic missile capacity. I hear all this chatter about ballistic missiles. The ballistic missiles, ballistic missiles. You understand what's happened? This audience does, but I'll just remind people if you're joining us for the first time, the ballistic missiles have been diminished, the actual stockpile, by 85% by some estimates. The President keeps referencing 80, 85% of their ballistic missiles are gone. Additionally, and more importantly, their ballistic missile production capacity has been utterly destroyed. There was a period in which they were producing over 100 ballistic missiles a month. In fact, that was the predicate to us going in in the first place. They were producing so many ballistic missiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained that they were going to get to some threshold where it would be impossible for us to economically efficiently go in and stop their nuclear program. That can't happen. So we went in when we did for that reason. That's what Marco Rubio said. Well, what has happened since then? They were producing over 100amonth. Now they're producing between 0 to 5 at best, their ballistic missile industrial capacity has been utterly destroyed. That's huge. That's huge. And their nuclear program is buried deep underground. The United States knows that the nuclear capacity of Iran is contained. Their rich uranium is contained within three facilities. The administration knows this within their assessment, 100% certainty. The location of all this enriched uranium and obviously Operation Midnight Hammer left a huge quantity of it buried deep underground. A skyscrapers level underground. Has Iran been set back? Yes. On its ass. Iran is on its ass. And the President revealed yesterday as he was talking about this memorandum of understanding and kind of where we are right now, he did a big press conference, one of many that he's done while he's been at the G7. He said Iran has suffered nearly a trillion dollars in damage to the country. Watch the President here cut three. Explain. You've been clear, President Trump, the United States is not going to directly pay Iran, but the US is going to let the Iranians start making billions of dollars sell accessing this reconstruction fund.
Mike Lee
Only if they're doing things right. Well, only if Peter. Only if we're not doing anything, we're not putting up money. Only if they're doing things right. If they're doing things right. If people want to invest, they can invest. But they had this $300 million fund. It's only $300 billion fund. It's only if they're doing things right. Remember this also when you talk about billions of dollars, they've had much more than a trillion dollars worth of damage done. They got a long way. There'll be 15 to 20 years to rebuild.
Vince
15 to 20 years to rebuild. That's decades, decades setback. Now on this memorandum of understanding and you heard it kind of in the makings of Peter Doocy's question about money and that how Iran will get access to resources and what this looks like. If, if you have just checked in on this story for the first time, you're gonna be stunned. Be like, wait, Iran's receiving money? What are we doing? What's even happening? And this is the kind of thing that again requires having any knowledge whatsoever about how this deal is shaping up from the, from the very beginning. How many times have I mentioned that the White House's plan has always been to offer carrot at the end of an entire process where Ron gives us everything we want, that everything begins to be phased in on the basis of their good behavior. That's always been the structure of this thing and it's entirely consistent with the Memorandum of understanding. So let's go through it shall we? I want to go through what we have. This is the 14 point memorandum of understanding. I'm going to walk you through the language here, but I want to remind you of something. This was not haphazardly put together. Remember, the process of getting this thing written was painstaking. It was arduous. It was done over and over and over again. The can had to be kicked because the President wanted to make changes to the language. They were intentional about every sentence that appears in this document. The idea that this was written in a sloppy way or that Iran is getting everything that they want and the United States got rolled, it just does not in any way reflect reality. And I'll explain why. Remember, senior administration officials have been explaining, including to me, this is why I keep bringing you these updates, that this is written in such a way so that the Iranians can try and convince their people that they had some sort of epic victory here. They want it to be written in a way to make it so that it's palatable to the Iranians, to sell it to their regime figures so that we can get a real deal in the end that denuclearizes Iran and hopefully turns them into a normal country. Now, that may be a pie in the sky kind of desire, but it is one that the President would like to pursue. We'll see if it works. The President's not convinced yet that it will. He's even said, I'll drop bombs on their head if necessary. But here's. Take a look at the memorandum. We'll go through it. This is point one. This is an agreement between the Islamic Republic and the United States of America. So Iran and the United States of America. Point one, the Islamic Republic of Iran and America and their allies in the current war. And their allies in the current war. This language is so important. By signing this memorandum, declare the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and undertake from now on not to initiate any war or any military operation against each other and to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other and ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon. The final deal will confirm the permanent termination of the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon and other provisions of this paragraph. Now, why is Lebanon mentioned so many times in point one of a memorandum of understanding involving Iran and its nuclear program? And the answer to that is this involves Iranians, Iran's proxies. The Iranian proxy that's in Lebanon is Hezbollah, which has been the single most pernicious Iranian terror proxy of all of them, Hezbollah. So right up front, point 1 addresses the threat of terror proxies. Now, you're going to see claims people have already been said. This doesn't address the proxies. This doesn't address the proxies. It literally does. What do you think the words end their allies means? And their allies, Iran, the United States and their allies. This is a goal to stop all firing on everybody in the Middle East. And yes, the goal of this is clearly, in Iran's view, to also constrain Israel, America's ally, from firing in the direction of Hezbollah. Now, the administration has said it over and over. The President even said it yesterday at the press briefing that Israel can defend itself. He wants Israel to do it proportionately. He thinks that if a missile flies into Israel and hits like dirt and doesn't actually hurt anybody, that Israel shouldn't knock down a building in Lebanon. That was his view on the subject. But again, he's not saying Israel can't defend itself. He's trying to say we try. We're trying to bring down the temperature in the region. And that's what point one is dedicated to. Point two. Iran and the United States undertake to respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. And, and to refrain from interfering in each other's internal affairs. Now, what does this mean? Well, one, it means for now, the United States is not going to be attacking Iran directly, of course. But the other thing it means is that Iran is being warned that it is restrained from interfering in the United States in any way, including by trying to manufacture attempts to assassinate the president or interfere with our Internet or anything else that Iran has attempted to do in the past. It's a warning to Iran to knock off the crap. That's item two. But you can see, look how, look how intelligently the wording is. Is done here. It's done in such a way to make it seem like that the Iranians have a very strong hand. And this, look at them. They're keeping the United States out of their country. That's the point of this intentionally worded, thoughtfully constructed item 3. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States commit to negotiating and achieving the final deal in maximum 60 days, which is extendable with mutual consent. Okay, so in other words, this is not the final deal. Anybody suggesting to you or implying that this is anything like the final deal has their head up their dark and remote location. It is not the final deal. It's merely a signed agreement to come to the negotiating table. That's it. Now, number four, immediately upon signing this, the United States will begin the removal of its naval blockade and any disturbances or impediments against the Islamic Republic of Iran and will fully end the naval blockade within 30 days. Now, this is a longer time period, by the way, than the President was anticipating before he said immediately. It's not quite immediate. It's going to be a period of 30 days that this is going to happen. Now, during this period, the traffic of vessels will be in proportion to the number of predictions war traffic being restored by the Islamic Republic of Iran. So. So the more that Iran gets the hell out of the way and lets these vessels flow through, the more the American blockade of Iran's ports ends intelligence. The United States of America further undertakes to remove its forces from the proximity of Iran within 30 days after the final deal. So it's this again, this is all contingent on us reaching a final deal. The core question here, ladies and gentlemen, is do you trust the President of the United States? It's not, do you trust Iran? The idea that anybody's doing that math is preposterous to me. Of course not. You don't trust Iran. The only way that you could ever have a trusting relationship is if you demonstrate it through your behavior. This is true in your human relationships. Why would you continue to trust somebody who continues to abuse you despite the fact that they're gaslighting you about not abusing you? No, you don't do that. Trust is built over time through behavior. So if Iran ever wants to be trusted, it's going to take a long time. And Donald Trump does not trust them. The idea that he does is an utter lie. And the administration has said this over and over and over again. Keep your head. Keep cool, my babies. There's more here. Upon the signing of this memorandum, the Islamic Republic of Iran will make arrangements, using its best efforts for the safe passage of commercial vessels with no charge for 60 days only from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman and vice versa. Now, this line with no charge for 60 days only from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman and vice versa, is a lot of people looking at this going well, does that mean they'll be able to charge after 60 days and these types of things, we'll see. I don't think so, because the President of the United States has indicated no fees, that this is international waters and people should be able to freely move through it. Now, does it involve eventually Iran and Oman protecting their own coastlines and these types of things? Perhaps. But the idea that vessels would need to be charged a fee to transit it. The president's already ruled this out. And you'll notice that 60 days is also the length of time for the negotiation for the final deal. So hold on that. Hold on this particular thing. The traffic of commercial vessels will immediately start. And considering the need for removing the technical and military obstacles and demining the strait by Iran will be instated within 30 days. So Iran's got to get rid of all these crazy mines. That's. That's a huge win. The Islamic Republic of Iran will conduct dialogue with the Sultanate of Oman to define the fine the future administration and maritime services in the strait in discussion with other Persian Gulf littoral states in line with international law and the rights of coastal states of the Strait of Hormuz. So you'll have the Gulf states all involved in these big questions which they want to be the United States of America undertakes with regional partners. This is. Here's another. This is. This is number six. And this is another one. This is. As expected. None of this is a surprise, by the way. None of this. The United States undertakes with its regional partners to develop a plan with at least US$300 billion for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Now, let me pause on what that means. Don't be confused by the fact that it says US Dollars. It's not coming from American taxpayers. US Dollars is just the currency in which it's traded. It's the. It's the. Obviously, we're the global reserve currency. This is about Gulf country investment in Iran. We knew about this plan. We've been talking about this plan. And guess what? It doesn't even happen unless Iran turns over its nuclear material. And guess who gets to control it? We do. The Trump administration gets to control whether or not sanctions are lifted such that Gulf countries can invest in Iran. Why do Gulf countries want to invest in Iran? Because they want to stabilize their region. They don't want Iran acting like lunatic terrorists. And they'd like to establish economic relationships to prevent that thing from happening. The more economically interdependent they are, the less likely Iran is to act like terrorist lunatics and to fire missiles at all of their golf out. Well, golf neighbors at this point, but allies maybe eventually. This is all by design. Okay. All required licenses, waivers and permissions needed for the relevant financial transactions will be granted by the United States of America that is controlled by President Trump. Now, let me pause for a moment. How much. So what I'm going through right now, how much of this is being treated hysterically and blown out of proportion and treated as some massive victory for Iran by, like, all sorts of people in the media who hate the president, who, no matter what he does, are going to treat him like utter crap. And I'm looking at this going, this is exactly what the administration has been promising throughout this entire process. It's the beginning of a negotiation and it's a lot of appetizers for Iran, letting them know, like, hey, a great future awaits you if you stop acting like lunatics. The media is going absolutely nuts,

is why, of course, we all stopped trusting so many of these media outlets a long time ago. It's remarkable to watch. I've got so much more to get. I, I got to go through this a little bit more with you. I do think it is worthwhile to go through it and, and tell you what's exactly in this memorandum because you're going to hear all sorts of lies about it or misunderstandings. It's easy to cut through them if you actually know something about the way this deal was formed, the way this memorandum was formed, and what it's actually all about and what the goal is. I'll take a break on going through the points for a moment just to get to reemphasize the point about the media. The president said, look, no matter what I do, the media is going to attack me. It doesn't matter. Iran could be genuflecting to President Trump right now on camera and say that we are surrendering. We're surrendering to you. The United States is amazing. We'll do whatever you say. It doesn't. Watch. Here's the President explaining this phenomenon. Cut 5. How do you go back to the United States and convince a skeptical American public that this deal.
Mike Lee
Well, look here, they lost militarily, okay? It's very tough because I know that no matter what, if I would go, by the way, if I'd go another three or four weeks, those same people that are critical would say he went too long. He said, you know, no matter what, if they raised the white flag of surrender and if they said, praise be to Allah, Donald Trump is the greatest president ever, we totally concede, we totally give up. This war is over. We have failed. The New York Times and CNN and a couple of others, they're not all that dishonest. They say Iran had a great victory. Okay? They practically do that. You know, it's amazing. When we knocked out their last year, they had 159 ships. When we knocked out the last ship, the Times refused to do a story on it. They said, why wouldn't you? They don't have a Navy and you don't want to do a story on it. They don't have an air force. You don't want to do a story. We need a fair press. It's. And that's why they're all doing so badly, because they lost credibility when I went in a landslide and I had 93% bad press. They take good stories about me and make them bad. But the only reason that happened is because they have so little, the media has so little credibility that the people voted for me. 93% of the stories on network. ABC is horrible. I think ABC is the worst. NBC is terrible and CBS is terrible. Cnn, obviously. And I never get good. No matter what I do, I could do the greatest thing. I won't get good stories on this. I'll get it from Fair Media. I'll get it from all over the world. They're writing good, but no matter what I do, I'm going to get bad press. I Know that now if I did the opposite, if I went out and continued to bomb them for another four, just bomb the hell out of them. I get bad press on that. No, there's nothing I can do. But what this does is it allows the ships to go. If we, if we keep bombing, those ships won't be going. And you're talking about 500, 600, $700 million a day. It's a lot of money. A lot of money. That's why the world is okay, it's liquid, it's fine. Also, we run out of reserves in about four weeks. You know, there are reserves all over the world and we would really run out and there'll be a time when you wouldn't be able to get it. And you want to see bedlam. So for all those so called geniuses that want to show me how smart they are, ask them why didn't they blow up General Soleimani? Ask that of the general and a couple of other people that I like very much. But boy, are they wrong.
Vince
Yeah, the idea that President, I love this theory, like, oh, President Trump's been very weak on Iran. President Trump has been the single strongest president in confronting Iran in American history. Also for Israel, he's been the single greatest ally to Israel as a President of the United States in American history. So this idea that like there's somehow weakness on display, it boggles the mind. It's just, it's a complete inversion of the truth. The President is, as always, juggling chainsaws and he's catching the handles. The guy's trying to figure out how to restore the global economy, how to bring peace to the Middle East. These are big picture questions that require big picture ideas. Not the easiest thing in the world by any stretch. In fact, the President even said as he signed the MoU yesterday, this was a hard deal to get to. Just to this phase. And we're not even at the final deal yet. More in this thing. Let's go to item number seven now. Sanctions relief for Iran. Oh, no. Sanctions relief. Yeah, sanctions relief. You understand how this works? We'll show you. The United States of America undertakes to terminate all types of sanctions against Iran, including through the un, the IAEA, and a bunch of other places in an agreed upon schedule. As a part of the final deal, Iran and the United States acknowledged the critical importance of the sanctions termination issue and expressed their intentions to immediately address these issues in the negotiations in order to achieve mutual agreement on them. What this means is that the United States will discuss with Iran What Iran has to do in order to get sanctions relief. Here's what you, here's what you need to do. Here's you need to turn over this nuclear material. You need to shut down your enrichment capacity, all of the items that are necessary in order for you to be treated like a normal country. If you start acting normal, we'll start treating you normal. That's what this is. It's a behavior based incentive structure. And if they bad, if they behave badly, what did the president say? I'm gonna drop bombs on their head. So your options are sanctions relief for good behavior or bombs on your head for bad behavior and no sanctions relief. So which one is it gonna be? Right? Bomb Iran if they don't comply, but there's nothing enforceable in the deal itself, is that correct?
Mike Lee
Doesn't have to be. I let him know, he said, look, if you don't adhere to the agreement, I don't want to do that, but we're going to bomb the hell out of you. And I don't think that they're going to veer from the agreement. What else am I going to do? Am I going to say I'm going
Vince
to take, I'm going to bomb the hell out of you. I'm going to bomb the hell out of you. Right. All right, so item 8. The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms that it shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons. Now again, they say these things, it's only relevant if they actually behave. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpiled enriched material pursuant to a mechanism that will be mutually agreed upon. In other words, we're going to negotiate how we get rid of this nuclear material with the minimum methodology. The minimum methodology to be down blending on site. In other words, diminishing the enriched uranium to a level that, that it's not enriched anymore. Remember, I've explained this before too, but, but the idea that we'll remove, can we remove all uranium from Iran? Well, the answer to that is no, as a, as a factual matter, because Iran has, has uranium underground, they can mine for it. It's, it's literally in the country. So diminishing it to the point that it's unusable for energy or nuclear weapons is an option. But again, it's the minimum option that exists in point 8. It's the minimum option and they're gonna be negotiating beyond that. That's the goal of this. The President's trying to get rid of the nuclear threat of Iran that's what he's fully committed to in an enduring way that can last for future presidencies, regardless of who's in office. The two parties also agreed to discuss the issue of enrichment and other mutually agreed matters related to Iran's nuclear needs based on a satisfactory framework being agreed upon in a final deal. The final deal will confirm the provisions of this paragraph. Now, the President said yesterday, and he's right about this, this is a point I've raised before, Iran doesn't need nuclear energy. It's got some of the largest proven reserves of energy underground of any country on planet Earth. They've got a lot of oil that they don't need nuclear energy. So the final deal here I don't even think should have any consideration for nuclear energy. I know there was some kind of. Some consideration that insofar as they would get any of this, that maybe all enrichment would only happen outside of the country. There'd be no enrichment whatsoever in Iran. And then they could use some lightly enriched nuclear material in order to charge of power plants, but I don't think they need any at all. But again, all under negotiation. Pending the final deal, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States agree to maintain the status quo. The Islamic Republic of Iran will maintain the status quo of its nuclear program. In other words, they're not going to develop anything else during this period. There's not going to be any enrichment or any pursuit of a nuclear weapon. The President said yesterday that we, that thanks to Space Force, we have such good visibility on Iran. We can see when every dude named Mohammed approaches the door, we can read his name tag and then we can kill him. So let's not do that. And the Iran is agreeing. Don't worry, we're not going to do anything. We're not going to do anything.
Mike Lee
Hmm.

And then the United States of America undertakes that immediately upon the signing of this memorandum, until the termination of sanctions, the US Department of Treasury will issue waivers for the export of Iranian crude oil, petroleum products and derivatives, all associated services, including banking transactions, insurances and transportation. Okay, so this is a very, very big item and worth dwelling on for a moment. The. The Trump administration is going to grant Iran waivers to sell oil on the legitimate international market. Starting now, Iran is going to be allowed to sell its oil. What is the goal of something like this? Well, clearly Iran wants to generate revenue from oil sales. But there's another part of this. There's a couple other parts of this that I don't think people are really fully appreciating one of them is that this will immediately, and it already has, make global oil prices plummet beyond what people even expected in the first place. Countries did not believe that they would have legal access to Iranian oil. The only way Iranian oil was being sold before was under a sanction situation. So it was being sold on the black market to places like China through a series of false flagships. In fact, 90% of all of oil of China, of Iran's oil exports were going to China. That was the arrangement. Now, here's what's happened. China will not have access to all of that oil anymore. Not with Iran being able to sell it on an international market with competitive international bidding. China just lost a meaningful amount of its energy that was coming from Iran, by the way, that President Trump just structured this deal. Additionally, as I said, global oil prices are coming down very, very rapidly. As we started the show this morning, we're looking at some of the oil prices. They've fallen from by about 33% from their highs in the war. Oil barrel. Barrel of oil, in some cases around $75 a barrel and falling. Right now. It's falling very, very rapidly. That is massive news for the global economy. Yes. But most importantly, the American economy, which is what the President is most obsessed with. It's a huge deal. And there's already been a corresponding fall in gas prices all across the country. The average price of gas is now dropping with each passing day, and that trend will continue. It's always a lag in terms of the price of oil going down and gas prices going down. But the lag's not long. It's a matter of just weeks at longest. For those prices to come down. That's gonna be a very big deal. And as a political matter, it's a huge deal going into the midterms.
Andrew Desiderio
So.

So keep your eyes on this. And remember, all of this is contingent on the President thinking that it's. It's worth it to the United States. If at any moment the President believes that this works against us or that Iran is violating the terms of the deal or they're pursuing something that they shouldn't, sanctions, go back up, no more waivers, smack them over on the head with bombs. But clearly, this is a. This is. This is a little bit of a sweetener. They're sweetening the pot for the Iranians and creating conditions globally. They work very much to the United States advantage. So keep your eyes on that particular point. But I think it's a massive one and definitely worth dwelling on. Number, number 11. Look at him juggling chainsaws. I love that. Number 11. The United States undertakes to make fully available for use the frozen or restricted funds and assets of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Upon the implementation of this mou, the United States of America and the Islamic Republic will mutually agree upon the procedures related to the release of these funds. During the negotiations. Such funds, whether retained in the original account or transferred, shall be made fully usable for payment to any ultimate beneficiary designated by Iran. The United States undertakes to issue all necessary licenses and authorizations accordingly. What this means, very simply, is that the United States and Iran are going to negotiate when and how to unfreeze Iranian assets that we have frozen. That we have frozen. The President was asked yesterday about, well, why not just take them? Why didn't the United States just. Just seize these funds and then we just get to spend them the way we want to? And the reason for that, he pointed to Treasury Secretary Scott Besson, and he goes, because as Scott has told me, we can't jeopardize the American dollar standing as the global reserve currency. We obviously wield a lot of influence by having the dollar as the global reserve currency. Also, it helps keep our inflation down because it, because, because when we print dollars, it doesn't have the same consequences in light of the fact that we are the global reserve currency. Which is why, by the way, we should bring our debt down dramatically. If we start seizing the money and using it for ourselves, like stealing it, essentially, it will accelerate de dollarization. Countries will leave the American dollar at a higher rate because they'll be too scared that we'll just not only seize the dollars that they're trading in, but then use them for ourselves. And so the President says, we can't do that, but we can unseize, unfreeze these assets so long as Iran is meeting its commitments, which is what they're doing right now. Number 12, these final two, three points are rapid. I'll get to them quickly with you. Number 12. The Islamic Republic and the United States agree there will be an executive mechanism to oversee all of this. They're going to come up with a structure, in other words, to monitor that everybody's adhering to the deal. And then point 13, after signing this deal, this memorandum, the one that was just signed and subject to the beginning of the implementation of five of these paragraphs, the Islamic Republic and the United States will start negotiations on the rest. And I won't bore you by going over the paragraphs again, but again, they're just doing this in a phased order. And then finally, point 14, the final deal will be endorsed by a binding United Nations Security Council resolution. Okay, fine, whatever. That is probably the least important element of this entire document. But that's it. That's the memorandum. That's the entire memorandum. Is it somehow inconsistent with what the administration said it would be? No, not at all. In fact, it's entirely consistent with what they said it would be. Is it worth becoming completely hysterical over? No. In fact, remember what I told you earlier this week? I think it was yesterday Lindsey Graham, Senator Lindsey Graham had come out and he said, I'm not sure to trust President Trump or the Iranians. And you're like, what the hell's wrong with you? You've been telling me forever not to trust the Iranians and I don't trust the Iranians. Why would you even pretend that they're on equal foot voting with the president of the United States? Well, Lindsey Graham has changed his tune, ladies and gentlemen. And I've got that update for you coming up in just a moment. Also, a huge update on the Save America act and the revolt going on inside of the Republican establishment in the United States Senate. It's just great. It's great because these people are just being exposed. And I'll take it until we get the Save America Act. Thank you to lean. Takelean.com, promo code Vince. Okay, so Lindsey Graham has changed his tune all of a sudden. Like, Graham thinks that actually this might be a pretty great deal. Really? Because you were crapping on it earlier this week. Yeah, no mas. Here's Lindsey Graham and what he's saying. Now. Take a look at this. This is the update. Yesterday he said. I just had a very lengthy and productive discussion with Steve Wykoff about the state of play regarding Iran. After this discussion, it is my opinion that signing the MOU will be beneficial to the United States in as much as the Strait of Hormuz will begin to open and the hostilities with Iran will stop. Whether or not the United States can reach an acceptable verifiable deal with Iran rather regarding its nuclear program and other issues is yet to be determined. But I see little downside to trying. Yes, Lindsey, this is the point you are trying to get to. A deal doesn't mean you will. The president said dropping a bomb on their heads is still on the table, but we're trying calm down. The economic stability that comes from opening up the strait and the cessation of hostilities could create a pathway to peace well beyond the Iranian conflict. The expansion of the Abraham Accords and Normalizing relationships between Saudi Arabia and Israel is President Trump's my ultimate goal. Exactly. I think this is best achieved by creating economic stability for the U.S. the region and the world, as well as the cessation of hostilities. The signing of the MoU is an essential step to make that happen, and thus it is worthwhile. That's it. That's all you had to say at the beginning, Lindsey, and you got it right now. Now, this other point, and I didn't say this today, but I want to re. Emphasize it. Abraham Accords. The President is remaking the Middle East. As we speak, they're acknowledging Israel's existence. For anybody who thinks like, oh, this is. This deal is going to be bad for Israel, no, the President is reorienting the Middle east around acknowledging Israel's existence, working with Israel, securing the region with Israel. The end goal is to have Israel and the Arab countries in the Middle east working together for regional security. The President's trying to create these relationships. He's already had some success with the Abraham Accords. He wants to have more. Now, what is going to give the President leverage over these countries? Well, how about this? How about the economic investment, the intertwined economic investment of the United States and some of these Middle Eastern countries with the President has been negotiating. How about this? These Middle Eastern countries, the Gulf countries, don't get to invest in Iran unless the President gives them permission. So the President has all sorts of leverage here. You see what's happening? He can use it in order to create great outcomes for the planet. The President doesn't want a war going on for Israel. The President wants Israel to not only survive, but to thrive. So any claim that this is somehow designed to upend Israel and it's right to defend itself, the President's game plan is long term global peace in the region.

Hey there.

I'm Paula Pan. I help people make the smartest money decisions possible. If you don't control your money, it controls you. You're not in control of your finances and you have to look outside of yourself to live the life that you want. You're not in control. You're like, like, what is it that you actually want? Money should follow the dreams and goals because sometimes we make the dream and goal the money, and you've overworked yourself and you've exceeded what you've needed for the actual thing you want. Sometimes we forget, like, what's the actual thing you want? Afford anything. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. Take a breath. Take a deep breath. I don't know about you. But if you open, if you open up, X, have you noticed that lots of people shouldn't be president of the United States? I've been thinking that a lot this week. I'm looking, I'm going, that guy shouldn't be president. That guy shouldn't be president. That guy. Like there's a lot of that going on right now. Holy cow. Keep cool, my babies. Keep cool. Yes, exactly right. Thank you. Thank you very much.
Mike Lee
All right.
Vince
Let's see. I think that's enough on that. Let's get, let's get to Save America, shall we? Let's. Like, I think it's high time for us to get to Save America. And if we're going to get to the Save America act, of course we need to do this gavel into it. Ladies and gentlemen, the Save America Act. Today I want to talk about what's possible here and why Republicans are losing their ever living minds over this. First and foremost, let's go to what's possible. Over the weekend, Mike Lee was once again explaining very patiently and very cheerfully how it is indeed possible to pass the Save America act and how there's plenty of historical precedent for this. All it takes is a little bit of courage and the ability to stand on your two feet for a while. Here's Mike Lee on fox this weekend. Cut 8 watch this for the Save America Act.
Andrew Desiderio
Yes, there is, Kaylee, and I respectfully but very strongly disagree with my colleague from South Dakota on that. In the first place, the Save America act as passed by the House of Representatives does have a simple majority support in the United States Senate. Now, we don't have 60 votes. We're about 10 votes shy of achieving cloture. There are other ways of breaking a filibuster that don't involve resort to cloture. You don't actually have to have 60 votes to pass a bill. You just have to have 60 votes to force cloture. But you can break a filibuster through other means. My preferred means, particularly for this bill, the House passed Save America act, which I believe would work. We put the Save America act on the floor today, not the expanded version, the one that actually passed by the House, for which there is a simple majority support in the Senate, you put that on the floor today. If the majority leader were to announce we're going to debate this until we pass it, we would get to the point of passage. You can't do this all the time because it would take a lot of time. This is how they passed the civil Rights act of 1964. At the time that bill came over in March of that year from the House of Representatives, they were about 30 votes shy of cloture. We're only 10 votes short. But the majority leader at the time, Mike Mansfield from Montana, to his credit, said, you know what? We're 30 votes shy of cloture, but we're going to debate this bill until it passes. And you know what happened? That bill got more popular. Those who were obstructing it got less popular. They started negotiating the terms of their exit ramp. They negotiated changes to the text that made them feel better about it and helped them save face. It ended up passing. It takes legislative courage to do that, and that's what we need in the Senate. We could pass it. Don't fall for the hype that this is undoable. It's only undoable if we choose not to go to the effort. I don't say that about every bill, but I do say that about a bill that enjoys the support of somewhere between 70 and 80% of Americans, Republicans and Democrats alike. This bill needs to pass, and we could do it.
Vince
So you heard him make the big comparison. There he goes. Look. This is how we passed the. The Civil Rights act of 1964. And that's true. And remember, the Civil Rights act of 1964 was filibustered by Democrats. They wanted to stop the Civil Rights act from passing, and thanks to Republicans, we were able to overcome that. And that. That would be the same situation here with the Save America Act. The Save America act, which is the civil rights bill of our time. Civil rights are voting rights. Voting rights are civil rights.
Mike Lee
And.
Vince
And having your vote protected is of paramount importance, which is why the Senate should spend its time on it. Will there be attempts by Democrats to oppose it wrapped up in racism? Yeah, absolutely. No question whatsoever. But it doesn't mean Republicans shouldn't push it. In fact, it means Republicans should double down on pushing it. So Mike Lee is advocating for the strategy because he knows it's possible. It actually does work under the Senate rules. And to this very day, lots of establishment Republicans are refusing to acknowledge that Mike Lee is correct about this in public because they don't want you to think that they actually have a way to pass this. In fact, Senate Republicans are very resentful of Mike Lee for talking like this in public. You're not supposed to tell the truth out loud this frequently, and yet Mike Lee keeps doing it. And so that's why this week we get a. We get a wild update. Yesterday, we Got a wild update that Republican senators are now subjecting Mike Lee to struggle sessions. Here it is. This comes to us from Andrew Desiderio. He's a reporter with an outfit called Punchbowl. Congressional reporter. He writes news. Republican senators went after Senator Mike Lee during the closed door lunch meeting today over his push for the Save America Act. In what one source described as a pile on Senators Cornyn and Kennedy would be. John Kennedy challenged Lee about his strategy and complained that Trump is being led to believe it's possible for the Senate to pass it, leading to Republicans attacking each other and Trump undermining his own agenda. Now, this, of course, is nonsensical for a couple of reasons. Trump is not undermining his own agenda by pushing the thing he was elected for, which is election integrity. It's one of the key elements of Trump's election. The people undermining Trump's agenda are in the United States Senate. In fact, I talked to Senator Tommy Tuberville about this yesterday, and he's like, they're just hurting the Trump agenda. They're so foolish. So John Cornyn and John Kennedy were apparently among the senators who were browbeating Mike Lee. Why are you doing this? Why are you doing this? You're ruining everything. Submitting him, subjecting him rather to a struggle session inside of the Senate yesterday. Okay, come on, keep giving us names. Who else is doing this? And this lunch got even more interesting because apparently during the lunch, John Thune admitted among the Republicans that some of them hate Trump too much to even pass the Save America Act. I'll tell you what, if we're not going to get this thing right away, at least we're going to use it to expose them. Check this part out. This is. This is the headline. This is an exclusive from the Daily Caller last night, obtaining information from inside of that room. Exclusive. Thune admits that some Senate Republicans hate Trump too much to support the Save America Act. Senate Majority Leader John Thune admitting that some Senate Republicans hate President Trump too much to support Save America. Multiple sources. Multiple sources familiar with the comments told the Daily Caller and the excellent Ashley Brosfield, who wrote this. Thune admitted during the closed door Republican Lunch on Wednesday that some Republican senators oppose President Donald Trump so strongly that they will never vote for the Save America act, regardless of the legislation's merits, according to several sources familiar with the matter. What a bunch of whiny little jackasses.
Andrew Desiderio
What?
Vince
This is. This is petty. This is insane. You should not be United States Senators. You should be fired with haste. In no way should people that are this emotionally incontinent, this fragile, be in the United States Senate? The discussion quickly escalated into a heated exchange between Republican Utah Senator Mike Lee, the bill's chief Senate sponsor, and several of his Republican colleagues. Republican Texas Senator John Cornyn and John Thune both challenged Lee's push for the legislation. So there you go. So now add Thune to the list of people challenging Mike Lee for doing this, according to a source familiar with the meeting. Another source familiar with the matter told the Daily Caller, yes, that totally happened. Still, the Majority Leader's office denies this quote, this is a baseless claim, and it is unequivocally true. A spokes untrue. Rather unequivocally untrue. A spokesperson for Thune told the Daily Caller. Okay, I'm gonna make a conclusion here. Thune's office is lying. They're lying. Multiple sources told the Daily Caller this actually happened. One Thune spokesman or woman, whoever says this is baseless, it's unequivocally untrue. This is a very fraught moment for the establishment gop. They're in chaos right now. And a lot of this has to do with the fact that President Trump has their number and he's been involved in helping to get rid of them. We got rid of Cornyn, we're getting rid of Bill Cassidy, getting rid of Thumbelina. Mitch McConnell's on the way out the door. There's a lot of change happening right now, and establishment Republicans are very upset about this, and they're taking it out on the American people. I. What I like seeing is I like seeing these names pop up. So we know who to get rid of. We know who should not be in charge, and we know we need fighters with a backbone who can get in there and actually do the work of the American people. It's as simple as that. And, you know, I hope we can resolve a lot of these conflicts before the midterms. I do think Republicans need to grow their numbers in both the Senate and the House. The Trump agenda clearly needs to move forward aggressively, but it can't move forward if we've got people who are intentionally rolling hand grenades in every time President Trump tries to do anything of value. Just, it's just not going to be able to. It's not going to work. It's not going to work. So this. Keep your eyes on this story. Keep your eyes on this story. This is a big one. And the fact that they're putting Mike Lee through a struggle session when his acts as as a senator, have been utterly heroic. People should donate to Mike Lee. That guy deserves all of the praise he's getting. And, boy, he's been utterly patient. And, and, and that patience, which can drive you crazy sometimes. Come on, Mike Lee. Just rip into them. He's just plugging away. I'm not going to attack Mike Lee for doing that at all. In fact, not only is he plugging away and he's being kind even to people who are being very unkind to him. The White House continues to be kind to John Thune, but at some point, the president's patience is going to run out with the guy, at least his public patience. I think behind the scenes, he's been pretty aggressive with Thune. But here's what Burgess Everett says over at an outlet called Semaphore. He said this about the White House yesterday. The White House just sent out a supportive statement of Thune. He writes, here's the actual statement. The White House and President Trump have enjoyed working closely with, with Leader Thune and Senate Republicans to deliver on many important promises to the American people. Have enjoyed. That's a past tense statement, by the way. We look forward to continuing these close relationships and fulfilling President Trump's priorities that Americans elected him to enact. So I wouldn't go so far as to say it's supportive. It's supportive in hindsight, but it's conditional. We need you to actually work to achieve the Trump agenda. Game on. President Trump is driving the Senate crazy right now by continuing to fight for the Save America act, and he's bringing me great joy by doing that. I appreciate a president who's actually fighting for what he was elected on. And this is achievable. This is achievable, which is why Mike Lee is staying on it. He wouldn't stay on it if it wasn't achievable. It is. So let's stay on it. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for being here with me today. Another important show. Holy cow. Lots of news to get to. I've got more to get to. We'll do it today on the big national radio show, the Vincehow.com to get your local radio listings. You can also watch us live. VINCE Podcast – Episode 313 Summary
Title: A Deal, A Deadline, A Path To Peace
Host: Vince Coglianese
Date: June 18, 2026
Network: Cumulus Podcast Network
This episode is dominated by two fast-moving stories:
Vince breaks down the hysteria in the media and among politicians surrounding both topics, emphasizing clarity, measured analysis, and the importance of having “your feet planted” in chaotic times.
Vince (05:19):
“This is why most people should not be in charge of anything... lots of people are not built for leadership, that they do not have the temperament in order to be able to process and handle chaos... The answer to that obviously is the President of the United States here.”
President Trump (09:43):
"They've had much more than a trillion dollars worth of damage done. ...There'll be 15 to 20 years to rebuild."
Vince walks through every point, emphasizing:
Vince (12:15):
“This is a goal to stop all firing on everybody in the Middle East. ...Right up front, point 1 addresses the threat of terror proxies.”
Vince (20:00):
“It’s exactly what the administration has been promising throughout this entire process. It’s the beginning of a negotiation and it’s a lot of appetizers for Iran, letting them know ... a great future awaits you if you stop acting like lunatics.”
“If I’d go another three or four weeks, those same people that are critical would say he went too long... The New York Times and CNN... they’re not all that dishonest. They say Iran had a great victory. Okay? They practically do that.”
Vince (29:42):
“Sanctions relief for good behavior or bombs on your head for bad behavior and no sanctions relief. So which one is it gonna be?”
Mike Lee (49:14):
“This is how they passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964… The majority leader... said, ‘We’re going to debate this bill until it passes.’ ...It takes legislative courage to do that, and that’s what we need in the Senate.”
Vince (53:48):
“This is petty. This is insane. ...You should not be United States Senators. You should be fired with haste. In no way should people that are this emotionally incontinent, this fragile, be in the United States Senate.”
Vince (49:28):
“The Save America Act, which is the civil rights bill of our time. Civil rights are voting rights. Voting rights are civil rights.”
Vince’s tone throughout is energetic, slightly combative, and deeply sarcastic when addressing establishment politicians and media narratives. He mixes sharp, populist skepticism with granular policy analysis—and relishes exposing hypocrisy or panic among the political class.
He encourages his audience to “plant your feet, keep your head, and think clearly” amid the week’s news cyclone.
Key Quote for Listeners:
“Plant your feet, keep your head, and think clearly. This audience does that every day.” (Closing minutes)
