That includes the majority leader of the United States Senate, John freaking Thune, who was lying to us earlier this week about the possibility of using the filibuster to pass the Save America Act. Remember, we went over the details, but he appeared on Fox and he said something to the effect of, oh, yeah, that Civil Rights act of 1965. Yeah, it didn't pass using a filibuster. It passed under regular order. It passed with a filibuster. Dude, stop lying. Stop lying to us. Pass the Save America Act. Here's the President of the United States. Oh, I should gavel. You're right. The question was fundamentally, is John Thune the Man for the job. The President said, we'll see. The Vince chat says hell no. Everyone's saying hell no. So sorry, John. You're just not the guy. You're just not the guy. Send Rick Scott and let's see what he can do. Can we get a reliever warming up in the bullpen? Any chance we could do that? Can Rick Scott start warming up the arm? We need to get somebody else out there, you know, throw some strikes right across the plate. Might be good, you know, Mike Lee. Can Mike Lee be the Senate leader? He certainly seems to know the rules of the Senate. The guy keeps telling everybody, to the consternation of every establishment Republican senator. Mike, stop telling everybody we can do this. If they know we can do it, they're going to get angry at us for not doing it. Well, yeah, we are. We're pissed off you're not doing it. And Mike Lee keeps telling us that it is entirely possible. Make Mike Lee the leader. Actually, some people want to see Mike Lee on the United States Supreme Court. That wouldn't be a bad idea either. Mike Lee's a patriot. Why don't we keep him in the fight wherever we can have him. But the idea here is really clear. Just give us election integrity. We're not asking that much. We're just asking for the bare minimum. We'd like a trustworthy society, please. Now the President goes on and says, look, we got all these senators, we got 53 of them. This shouldn't be a close call. We should have unanimous Republican support. Watch cut three. That's something you want to see.

I'll have to look at it. But they should get to save America. How simple can it be? Voter identification, proof of citizenship. I mean, now you have to understand the Democrats. Not one Democrat will sign because they want to cheat. There's no way they can get elected if they don't. If that happens. But we should have unanimous Republican support. And if we don't, people should look at those Republicans. But think of it. Who would not sign voter identification with photo and who would not sign proof of citizenship? Only people that want to cheat.

Only the cheaters. And only the people who are too lazy to protect the law abiding. That's it. That's the only reason that we have a slowdown on this. I hate to say it, but it's true. But in our conversation, you know, we were talking about how frustrating this is, how deeply frustrating this whole process has been. The fact that you and I have to keep brow beating these idiots to do the job that we sent them to Washington to do in the first place is a very annoying thing because you and I already have jobs. Now, my job, of course, does involve watching them like a hawk, but fundamentally, like people got jobs, they've got other things in their lives. They have civic requirements. They got to take care of their kids. They've got bills to pay. You know, the government keeps taking money out of their paycheck. There's all sorts of priorities that you've got in your life. And having to be a parole officer to a United States senator was not on, I don't want to say an eye on your bingo card. I don't like that. I don't like that analogy. But I was not on the list of things that you should have had to do today. And yet here you are, because they're not doing their jobs, so you have to hover over them like their parole officer. And when I was talking to Sean about this yesterday, you know, Sean was, was talking about, like the, the amount of, kind of the vibe of it was kind of the pessimism out there about these guys failing. And I just, I just said yesterday, I'll just remind you now here that like anything worth doing, it actually takes time to achieve. Have you noticed this? Like, it's one thing to just crack open a bottle of Gatorade and start chugging it when you're standing in your kitchen. It's another to hike up the mountain and when you reach the peak, crack open that Gatorade and drink it in. Victory. Have you noticed the difference? It's a big one, actually. It's a big one. There's nothing like that, that distinction. And that's true in politics, too. That's true in politics. There's nothing like enduring through something, doing it the right way, and finally achieving victory. Sometimes those victories are long fought. Now, of course, I've talked a lot about the Save America act because time is of the essence. With each successive election that passes that we don't have election integrity, that's another successive election that puts us deeper into the Chinese finger trap that the left has developed for us, where we just won't be able to get it back, we won't be able to get our constitutional republic back. So we have to move as swiftly as humanly possible. But as this process plays out, you should count your blessings. Think about the number of people that we fired as a result of this process. We have fired John Cornyn. Texas voters just got rid of that guy. Bill Cassidy just got fired in Louisiana. Thom Tiller saw the writing on the wall. He gets fired in North Carolina just by realizing, you know what? I'm going to resign before they can fire me. These things are happening. And each of these senators are exposing themselves for who they truly are. Are they a patriot or not? Are they on your side or not? Are they here to do the business of the American people or not? And as they expose themselves during this moment, you know exactly who to replace and fire. The President was just saying that yesterday. If we can't get these Republicans to do it, well, then maybe people should look at those Republicans, he said. And we are. We're staring directly at them. In fact, we're glaring at them until they do the job or until they leave. That's what's happening. If you go back to overturning Roe versus Wade, what did it take to get to the Dobbs decision? It was well over half a century of political activism, prayer, fighting, working, getting Supreme Court justices picked by virtue of our election of President Trump to the Oval Office. That was a hard fought, long fought, deliberative battle. Were there costs along the way?

There were millions of babies, millions of babies killed in the womb as the left continued this demonic march against those children. Yet Americans endured. We kept fighting, and in the end, we overturned Roe versus Wade. I thank my ancestors for their role in that. My, My beloved grandmother, my. My late grandmother, Mildred Colonnaise, would stand outside of abortion mills protesting, praying, fighting. These are the fruits of her efforts. And every single American who actually put the work in to achieve something great. Was there pain along the way? Yeah, there was a lot of death. There was genocide going on. And yet they stayed in the fight. They stayed in the fight and they won. And in fact, American history is full of examples like this. So as dire as the situation is, and as annoying as it is to deal with these senators the way we have to deal with them right now, the reality is that you should count your blessings and you should understand that if they're not going to be in the fight for us, we will stay in the fight until we get people who, who are. We can win this. We can definitely win this. And that's why the president staying locked in on it, too. He wants to Save America act, and he wants it as quickly as humanly possible. Now, who's on our side here? You know, I look back at, I'm looking at the numbers, and as of last night, I saw There were some 14 Republican senators. The good news as of this morning is actually the numbers continue to grow because it's actually getting harder and harder to keep track of how many Republican senators are now saying they're giving up their vacation. Now, it's not a majority yet. There's 53 Republican senators, but by my count, it's around 16, maybe 17 this morning. The numbers keep accruing because you keep bothering these guys until they say they're going to finally stand up for us, which I, which I really love. And in fact, I'll give you another example of this in case those of you, in case you guys were wondering, especially those of you in Texas, hey, like, look, I know John Cornyn is not going to be on my side because Cornyn is bitter, bitter, bitter that President Trump didn't. Endorsement, endorsement. The voters just fired him. But what about Ted Cruz? Where's Ted Cruz in all this? Like, you would think Ted Cruz would be on our side. Jake Sherman at Punchbowl News tells us this. Ted Cruz says he supports canceling August recess to pass save. We should do anything and everything, including working through the August recess to get that done. Ted Cruz joins the fight. Good to have him. Saw the writing on the wall. He was like, wait a second, I better, I better join in on this. Ted Cruz is, is not alone. We also got some other senators who have joined us in this fight overnight. Senator Jim Risch of Idaho has also joined the fight. He has issued a statement saying that every US Citizen should have confidence that their vote counts. Idaho has the best run, most secure elections in the nation. The Save America act bolsters every American citizen's right to vote and holds the rest of the country to the same high standards as Idaho. The Senate must vote on the Save America act and reconciliation now. And I'm committed to doing whatever it takes to make that happen. In other words, staying in August. Staying in August. Now will they stay in August. John Thune was asked about this yesterday, and, boy, is he annoyed that he has to deal with this. You can tell he's like, well, I don't think anything's really achievable. I don't know about giving a vacation. This doesn't really seem like a fun idea. Here's John Thune yesterday basically saying, I don't think we're going to cancel August recess, but, boy, the pressure is on. Cut five, watch with the August recess. What is the endgame here? And if, in fact, staying here for the month of August means that we assume at some point there will be 10 Democrats who cross over and vote for the Save America Act, I think we can stay here until Christmas. That's not going to happen. And the other thing I would say about that is that there aren't going to be 50 votes to get rid of the legislative filibuster. So if budget reconciliation is a path forward, if we conclude that there is actually a chance to get an outcome or a result there, I'm open to do it.

would be open to staying around here if that were true. But I think that we have to see first of all, that can be proven to be the case. But I don't think, you know, having a Congress, Senate sitting around here for the month of August in quorum calls or having to vote on Democrat amendments is probably a good use of anybody's time. So we will see and see where the conversation goes.

Yeah, that's not a yes. That's. I really don't want to give up my vacation. I love my vacation. That's the thing I've been looking forward to since the last vacation. They're always on vacation. It's like we have all these must pass bills. None of them are election integrity. Okay, you're really starting to piss us off. In fact, starting this, it happened a long time ago. This is why the chat is saying, hell, no, you're not the right guy for the job. Show some fight, son. Get up there and be like, hey, these guys better do this. And if they don't do it, yeah, we're going to forego vacation. We've got to get this done. You know, part of the way you get to. Yes, here's the secret. Rachel Bovard has talked about this a lot. You know, part of the Way you get to yes in the United States Senate is you make senators uncomfortable. And leadership can do that. Jon th can do that. Take away their creature comforts. Give them no vacation, you get no recess. You know, I love that we call it recess because they're children, you see, they get recess. Where's Mitch McConnell? He's in the nurse's office.

He's been. He's been away for a while. His tummy hurts. They want their recess. How about no recess? You take away recess, the kids start behaving, don't they? Yeah. Take away their vacation. Create pressure on these guys, you know, starting the filibuster. The Civil Rights act, the reason it passed. One of the reasons is because of the pain of the filibuster, eventually people start tapping out. They cry uncle, they throw in the towel. You pick your metaphor. They want to get out of this thing. They don't want to be held up on the floor forever. They don't want to be stuck in the Senate forever. They already booked their tropical vacation. They've got a hotel room reserved. They already paid for airline tickets. They want to get the hell out of Dodge. All right, create pressure. Threaten them with taking away their vacation. You see, this is what you would do if you were a leader. This is the kind of pressure you would create. You would use the leverage that's available to you to achieve the end state, wouldn't you? I mean, John Thune could be presenting individual bills right now. Let's do voter ID independently. Let's do American register, American citizenship proof. When you register independently, just do each one. See what happens. Try, son, try. Now, they say they want to do this through reconciliation, through some sort of budget bill. A lot of, like, just hand waving, like, oh, it'll appear in something somehow. You're going to need to be more specific than that. A lot more specific, because again, we're your parole officers. We're hovering over you right now. And if you're not on the straight and narrow, back to jail, or in other words, in this case, get the hell out of the United States Senate. We will replace you. We will replace you. We will get rid of you and find somebody who will do the job. However long it takes. We're going to stay on this. I know this audience will hope.

A whole bunch of them, including John Cornyn. John Cornyn and Thom Tillis have been standing in the way of the President getting Todd Blanche to be the full Senate confirmed Attorney General. And I've been over the details with you a bit, which is basically, they're upset that President Trump ever devised, well, the Justice Department specifically ever devised a means by which Americans could get some payments for being tyrannized by their government. Remember, a settlement fund was set up at one point, $1.8 billion specifically. Actually $1.776 billion. Go America. In order to offer payments to American citizens who've been tyrannized by their government. There's a lot of those. A lot of those. And the reason that settlement came up at all was because President Trump had his personal information stolen by the IRS and disseminated to the New York Times and ProPublica. Well, the President then sued and the settlement involved no money to him, instead just money available for American citizens who've been tormented by the government. Establishment senators hated this. They really hated this. Despite the fact that establishment senators did vote for half million dollar payments for themselves when the deep state was spying on them.

Yeah, that never became law because the House stripped it out. But the senators were pursuing half million dollar paydays for themselves. That's so sinister, it's disgusting. So now we've got. We've got basically Thom Tillis and John Cornyn throwing a bitch fit over the fact that President Trump's administration cares about American citizens. And so, in an effort to try and upend Todd Blanche's nomination process, they've been insisting, you've got to remove this in writing. You've got to remove this in writing. So that's what the back and forth has been about. It's so completely stupid. The Hill reports scorned senators force retreat on Blanche confirmation vote. Senators Cornyn and Thom Tillis are showing no signs of backing down on their demands concerning Todd Blanche's nomination to become the permanent Attorney General. Throwing his confirmation into serious doubt is what the Hill says. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley canceled the panel's scheduled meeting to vote today, Thursday on Blanche's nomination after negotiations throughout the day failed to win over the pair of YOLO caucus senators. YOLO caucus. You only live once. What? These guys are both leaving. An increasingly frustrated Cornyn told reporters that the DOJ stonewalled his request. They've simply refused to cooperate, he said. Cornyn and Tillis have been pushing Blanche and the DOJ for a formal written declaration that the settlement is not going forward. The DOJ has already said it's dead. Todd Blanche already said it's dead in sworn congressional testimony. And you guys are still barking up that tree. I mean, you just. At this point, it's just petty nonsense. It's just about trying to get your get back. I'm mad at Trump, so I'm going to try and upend this. Screw you people. Todd Blanche should be the Attorney General. Boy, is that guy. Earned it with haste. With haste. All right, enough on that subject. But we'll, we'll keep our eyes on what happens with that. The White House is. Is trying to smooth things over with these idiots, but again, we'll keep tracking it. Todd Blanch should be the Attorney General. Should have been at the Attorney General fully. Senate confirmed. I get it. He's the acting Attorney General, but Senate confirmed. It should Be done, but not yet. It ain't done yet. Yesterday, before the United States Senate, Anthony Frickin Fauci showed up. Yeah, Dr. Fauci, you know, Foushee at one point had promised that anytime he's called into the United States Congress, he's going to answer all the questions. He's just there to serve. Even if they are torturing him by demanding he show up to answer more questions all the time. Remember this cut 8. Watch Anthony Fauci saying, I'm going to be so forthcoming.

I can explain and validate everything that I've done. So, you know it's going to be inconvenient if they actually are out there essentially threatening to make my life miserable. But it's. I mean, I'm going to do what I need to do, and that is cooperate fully. Because we have nothing to hide at all.

Oh, we've got nothing to hide. I would never hide anything at all. And then he pled the 5th. He showed up yesterday, he pled the 5th 111 freaking times. The 5th amendment to the Constitution. Josh Hawley, just really leaning in. Watch this.

You don't have any rights under the Fifth Amendment because you've been pardoned, as you very well know, as the Supreme Court has been clear for a century and more. Brown versus Walker, 1896. When he has been pardoned, he may not stand upon his privilege. You know that your lawyer is sitting behind you now, shifting nervously in their chairs. They know it. This isn't about the Constitution. This isn't about the law. This is about contempt. Contempt for this body and contempt for the American people. But I think I know why you're doing it. It's because you don't want to answer questions. It's because you did all kinds of terrible things. It's because during the pandemic, you got rich, didn't you? You got rich while people were dying. Hundreds of thousands of Americans, over a million in the end. And you were getting rich. And not only were you doing that, you were using federal employees with taxpayer money to apply for and solicit cash prizes for. For you personally. Cash prizes totaling over a million dollars. You did all of that during the pandemic, didn't you?

Yeah, and that happened over and over. And over again, including when Josh Hawley asked him what color his tie was. What color is the floor? At one point, Rand Paul straight up asked, is there a folder sitting in front of you? Under advice of counsel, I invoke my Fifth Amendment right under the Constitution. Now, this whole thing about having a Fifth Amendment right, you heard Josh Hawley describe it pretty well. Fifth Amendment, what are you talking about? The Fifth Amendment is a right to. Against self incrimination. You have a right not to incriminate yourself. Okay, but Anthony Fauci received a pardon. I just want to walk through the logic of this, and I'll talk to Phil Kirpin in a moment about this too, but Anthony Fauci received a pardon nominally from President Joe Biden. Nominally. Now, you and I both know that the pardon was actually signed by a robot by the auto pen, which of course should be tested. But let's assume for a moment that the pardon is legitimate. Certainly Anthony Fauci would want you to think the pardon's legitimate, that he's not culpable for any of the crimes he committed over the course of an entire decade or so. Well, if that's the case, then anything he says relevant to that time period could not be incriminating. He's been pardoned. So in other words, every invocation of the Fifth Amendment is not protecting him from any sort of criminal accountability. It's just protecting his ego. And that's not a good enough reason to obstruct Congress, which is why Rand Paul announced yesterday that consequences are coming. That you can be held in contempt of Congress for obstructing a lawful congressional investigation.

Because you have no basis to invoke the Fifth Amendment. You're fully protected. Just to give you another example of this, you know, in a court of law, if prosecutors are able to arrange an immunity deal with a witness, in other words, we're not going to prosecute you so long as you give us information about what actually happened. That immunity protects you from any sort of criminal accountability for your actual crimes. So you can tell the truth because the public benefit is derived from. From the truth being told. At that point, Anthony Fauci should just tell the truth. Tell us the truth about everything you did. There's no criminal accountability coming if you admit the COVID up that you were orchestrating, that you admit that you drove all that money into the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That you admit the extent to which you lied to the public about the quality of the vaccines. If you just admit to everything, there's no criminal accountability coming for you, at least at the federal level. So just admit it. But he didn't. He pled the fifth. Now, why would he plead the fifth? Why would he do that 111 times? Well, one theory certainly is. It's possible that Anthony Fauci believes that his pardon doesn't hold up in a court of law. What if his lawyers have contemplated that the auto pen may not actually qualify for a real presidential pardon? That could be the theory that his lawyers are operating under. But one way or another, Anthony Fauci refused to even give any answer to questions yesterday. In other words, once again, Anthony Fauci lied to the public. He told us. I just played a clip for you a moment ago. Oh, I will answer all the questions no matter what. If the Senate calls me, I. I stand ready to answer every question. They called him, and he didn't. Yeah, it's absolutely remarkable. You know, I think that most likely he knows or his lawyers know that if he testified, he would be incapable of not perjuring himself because every time he ever testifies, he perjures himself. And so this was like, you know, it wasn't like I can't testify because I'll incriminate myself about crimes that I've already committed because he's been pardoned for those. But he knows he's going to commit more crimes as soon Tennessee speaks. But that's not a valid application of the Fifth Amendment. You can't, you know, your, your protection against that is to just tell the truth. You can't plead the Fifth because you would otherwise commit new crimes. That's not a valid application of the Fifth Amendment. So I, I think it was disgraceful. But, you know, I actually, Vince, to be honest with you, this guy's Such a sociopath that I thought he would answer everything and be smooth and sort of deflect and, you know, we, we wouldn't be able to pin him. Instead, he kind of went the total opposite direction. Right. He clamped up like a, you know, he looked very guilty.

He looked guilty to those of us who are aware of how guilty he is, which should be the preponderance of the American public. But I do think that part of this was also an act yesterday. I suspect that part of this was to play the victim in order to try and earn a media shield yet again, which of course did actually happen. CNN and Miz now all of these various left wing networks immediately suggested that this is like, this is like the Joe McCarthy era, which of course they continue to get wrong anyway, but they're saying that he's being tortured and this is terrible. And this is a dog pile. I saw headlines this morning, dogpile on Anthony Fauci. And by pleading the fifth and looking all weathered as he did it, I think part of this was trying to play the victim. Like, I just, I just, I'm being tormented by you people.

Well, look, if we learned anything from the Fauci diaries, it's that this is a man who loves his media friends and his celebrities friends and they love him. And you know, well, one of the reasons he kept the diary so was so every time he got a note about how great and wonderful he is from, you know, Dion Warwick or Joan Baez or Jane Fonda, he would have a place to paste it for safekeeping. I mean, this is a guy who is obsessed with fame and the media adored him to the moon. Elliot at Grabian put out a crazy two minute thing of just the media gushing over him. I'm not sure if you saw that, but it was pretty, pretty devastating I think, for how complicit all these media outlets were in all of the things that he got wrong and you know, building, holding this guy up. And it's not surprising that they don't cover his downfall because it would implicate them.

Yes, it would. You know, in his opening statement yesterday, he was bitching about the fact that his private diary was released to the public. But, but Phil, there was nothing private about that diary. Right. He was keeping it on a government computer, which is how Rand Paul got ahold of it. Yeah.

I mean, when you, when your private diary is all the things that are going on, respective to your work on a hugely consequential public health and economic policy issue is everything that was going on and you keep it on your work computer. Your private diary is not a private diary. It's a public document. And the fact that it was not produced in response to the FOIAs that the public repeatedly filed to get all his documents is actually more misconduct by him because this was work product. And we should have seen this a lot earlier. We should have seen this years ago, to be honest.

This has echoes of Comey, by the way. This is the same sort of sociopathic, I can do whatever I want. I'm actually in charge of my universe behavior that James Comey was guilty of. Because Comey would keep all of these documents on his conversations with the President of the United States and then later pretended like they were personal memos that he was allowed to keep at his house. And these types of things. It's like, wait, wait a second. What do these people think this is? Like, you get your, you get diaries of your conversations about the most consequential things inside of the government.

Now, she was literally the highest paid government employee, by the way, at the time this was going on. And you know, one of the things that's in the diary, there's a list of like outside grants that he had staff trying to get for him for his personal income.

So this idea that there was some distinction between the personal and the professional at a time where everything he was doing was about building himself up personally, kind of using the, you know, the auspices of his office, I find it comical. It's. It is so crazy. And the money you're talking about is pretty big. I mean, I think a lot of people. A million dollars would be a lot of money. It's so crazy. I mean, that's. And that's just what we know about because Josh Hawley was detailing this yesterday in the hearing. He said that Anthony Fauci had tasked over eight employees, government taxpayer funded employees, with hustling to earn him over a million dollars in personal income. Like, how is that not a violation of the law? I have people in our chat, military people, people have worked in the government who have been telling me, vince, that's crazy. That's a total violation of the law to use government resources for personal enrichment.

Trump's so great, you know, so there's, I want to talk about consequences and accountability, like what's actually achievable here. Rand Paul said that they want to have a vote as of next week to hold him in contempt of Congress, presumably under the theory that he was obstructing Congress through like a phony invocation of the Fifth Amendment yesterday, which, of course, Rand Paul readily admits. Look, this will be tested in the courts, especially because it dances right on top of what he's. An assumed constitutional right. But the reality here is like, clearly, like he, he had a pardon. You can't, theoretically, you can't be incriminated for anything covered by the pardon. So the Fifth Amendment is nothing but obstructing Congress in its investigation yesterday. And then separately, there are state investigations into James. Sorry, into Anthony Fauci that I want to get into. But, Phil, what do you make of this, of contempt of Congress, which would go to the Justice Department and provide a fresh opportunity to prosecute this man?

Look, I'd like to see them try. You know, maybe this all gets, you know, maybe this all gets knocked down in courts. Maybe his pardon's bulletproof. But there are a lot of questions, obviously, we don't even know whether you can pardon someone for totally nonspecific conduct like this. This is not a normal pardon. This is not like this particular charged offense is now pardoned or, you know, this particular conduct is now pardoned. The way that this auto pen thing was written, it was like everything he did for 15 years. You know, whatever it was, he could have killed someone. Whatever he did for these, it's a pardon. We don't know if that type of pardon is valid. We don't know if an auto pen pardon is valid. And, you know, and, and, and, and

it's never been tested. No, but to your point on the pardon, it's never been tested. I mean, the, the, the origins of this, as I understand it, were basically Ford's pardon of Nixon, he just kind of gives him a blanket pardon. And that was never subjected to any sort of court test. And since then, there's been a number of times, including for Hunter Biden, where entire periods of of time were merely just pardon any crimes that may have been committed during this time period. But none of those pardons have actually ever been tested in court.

Correct. And now we've got so. But now we've got an interesting situation. Right, because if the pardon is valid, he can't really claim the Fifth Amendment. And the way that Rand Paul crafted his questions was very specific. I mean, he asked in his questions pertaining only to your conduct within the period of time covered by the pardon. And then he said, I plead the theft. And so it's almost like saying, hey, maybe my pardon is not valid. Maybe I'd self incriminate if I answered your question. So I'm going to plead the Fifth. You know, if the pardon is not valid, of course we've got huge amounts of evidence that he committed many crimes, most significantly perjury and all his previous congressional testimonies.

But if the pardon is valid, then that's not a valid application of the Fifth Amendment. So he's got a problem either way.

Yeah, it's just like the mountain of evidence against Foushee is so obvious. And meanwhile, they were like, prosecuting President Trump in an election year over and over for fictional crimes. And it's like, okay, our justice system is, like, entirely broken. At some point, we need real accountability for the people who are actually breaking the laws. Now, what about at the state level? I saw James Uthmeyer, the Attorney General of the state of Florida, yesterday, Phil. He said that he's opening an investigation into Anthony Fauci and his conduct. A federal pardon wouldn't be applicable for violations of state law. What do you make of this strategy?

Well, it seems. It seems like it would be a stretch to come up with, you know, a state law theory to prosecute a federal official. I don't know what conduct he might have engaged in that has, you know, valid jurisdictional nexus to Florida. So it's a challenge. Now, I will say there's a lot in the diary of him hating Governor DeSantis and, you know, for disobeying him and disputing him and all this kind of stuff. And how dare he's opening these schools. You know, there's actually a paragraph in his diary where he sounds like one of these zero Covid nuts and says, you know, we should know, we shouldn't open the schools until we've eliminated the vote virus, Vince. They'd still be closed right now. They'd be closed forever. Yeah, I think the, you know, whether that, you know, rises to the level of some sort of a violation of Florida law, I'm somewhat skeptical. And I think this is almost in a way, this almost in a way feeds the what Foushee is trying to claim.

Say, he'd say, oh, I might have a federal pardon, but, you know, the states are going to come after me, so I have to plead the fifth. So, yeah, I'm not sure, I'm not sure there's much to this. I mean, they can look at it, but it may, it, it may not go anywhere. I wouldn't, I would tell people not to get their hopes up too much about state prosecution.

I know, but insofar as we impose consequences on him, we should strip it from him. Because the fact that he would lie to the public so frequency about Matt so frequently about matters of public health should be a reason to remove his medical license. I mean, if the Hippocratic oath is do no harm, nobody's done more harm as a medical doctor than Anthony Fauci. Because Fauci lied. I mean, Phil, you've read through the diaries. He lied about everything. He lied about the fatality rate. He lied about the origins of COVID He lied about the efficacy of masks. He lied about the efficacy of vaccines. You had government agencies to include the cdc who wanted to tell people that the vaccines really weren't really all that effective. And we just saw a note in his diary complaining that that message ever made its way to the public, that he was trying to suppress it from being known. The guy is a just a torrential liar, Phil.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. I mean, there's actually a, there's a June 2020 exchange between him and Burke's in the diary where they are sort of saying, yeah, I don't know why these lockdowns don't seem to make much difference for a viral transmission. It rises and falls, you know, kind of regardless of whether areas are listening to our recommendations or not. And Burke's like, yeah, I stay up at night wondering about this. And then the next day they go right back to telling everyone that we know this worked. You have to. So there's an extraordinary level of dishonesty and in particular the confidence with which they made all of their public statements when privately they didn't, they weren't, they were not at all convinced about any of the things they were telling the public with full confidence. And in many instances they were very doubtful, including on the origin question, where he's saying publicly, this definitely comes from a wet market. While he's saying, probably every single expert is telling me it probably came from the, from the institute.

And that's January 2020, January 20th, literally before the lockdowns, before any of this, he said, yeah, that thing did not come from a wet market.

Yeah. So I think he's extraordinarily dishonest. But the other aspect of this is it's not just the dishonesty, it's also just sort of the casual incompetence and the obsession with self promotion and fame and which celebrity sent them a note, by the way, there's one in there that hasn't got a lot of attention, but I found amazing where there's one thing in the diary where he's like, I spoke with Dionne Warwick, who's one of the top advisors to Biden on COVID policy, and I'm like, Dion Warwick was advising Biden on COVID policy, which I find absolutely hilarious. But he's obsessed with all of this stuff that's personal to him, all of this self promotional stuff. And he actually had a very poor understanding of the viral dynamics of the way the, the way that the curves were actually moving, the actual burden on hospitals. A lot of the stuff that you and I and a lot of other people who are just amateurs on the outside were tracking so closely when we were looking at all the data on a daily basis and we had a lot of very sophisticated monitoring tools and he's posting like the world O meter case count in his diary and I'm like, doesn't he have like real data? This is incredible to me how unsophisticated he was in actually doing the job of understanding what was happening.

I know people are frustrated that it hasn't happened yet, but the long tails of all of that dishonesty philosopher is not only did it create chaos during the COVID period, it also created massive amounts of societal distrust in our institutions. So now in terms of like, you know, the number of conspiracy theories that you feel like, oh, we got to bat that down. Why do people not trust anything? Why do people believe all these guys are on the take? Why do they think that there are sinister intentions behind why the Save America acts not passed? Everything we talk about is animated by this underlying dishonesty that upended all of our lives.

Yeah. Although I think it's a double edged sword a little bit because a lot of people say, oh my God, this is so terrible. We've lost all trust in these government institutions. And I kind of said, well, wait a second, if they weren't worthy of our trust, maybe it's good that people are skeptical. So I do think a little skepticism isn't the worst thing, at least until these institutions show they deserve, you know, some deference. And they haven't shown that yet.
