We'll do it coming up here in just a moment. Also, will we get Todd Blanch as the fully senate confirmed, Attorney General John Cornyn and Thom Tillis continue to stand in the way, but the president of the United States is throwing down on that subject. And we'll get some expert legal analysis and nonstop polarity from our friend Kurt Schlichter who joins us today on the program. Glad Kurt is stopping by, Ken. I can't wait to chat with him. Make it part of your daily routine. Kaboom. Yeah. Remember when Spain had borders? Turns out they are evaporating. We're watching as Moroccans are pouring in by the tens of thousands over the course of just 24 hours into a Spanish enclave known as Ceuta. Right there at the Northern tip of Morocco. Before you cross the Strait of Gibraltar into mainland Spain. There you have a Spanish territory that's being invaded by tens of thousands of Moroccans in a world where there's not that many Spanish people there to begin with. Well, relatively speaking. This is a Spanish city of 83,000, 567 people, to be specific. This is according to Spanish Census records from 2025, so about 84,000 people. You know how many Moroccans just poured in there in an invasion? 49,000 in 24 hours. That's according to the BBC official estimates right now, 49,000 invaders pouring into a region of 84,000 Spaniards. Now, I don't know how into math you are, but just to be clear, that's more than half the population. Suddenly, Ceuta ain't, say, Utah anymore. It's Morocco. The hell just happened. Let me show you some of these crazy images and note, of course, that these are military aged males. Are there women and children? Yeah, like, occasionally. But have you seen the footage of this? It's all dudes. It's all young men. Absolutely. Storming a country that they don't belong to. Cut one. Watch. Take a look at some of this imagery. Look, people coming by water. They're. They're walking kind of. They're swimming around a border barrier, pouring in, storming gates. Absolutely gloating about the fact that they've invaded another country. No, not by force. They're not. I mean, other than, like, they're forcing their way through gates and stuff, but not. They're not carrying arms, not shooting anybody. It's just a free for all invasion. And Spain was just rolling over yesterday and allowing it to happen. Yeah, that's what happened yesterday over the course of 24 hours. So for those of us back in the United States of America watching all of this, of course the images are horrific. And you're thinking, this is insane. I can't believe this is even happening. I've got more. Here's Moroccan men leaving all sorts of garbage in their wake. These are not people coming to. Look at this. Trash everywhere. Some of them carried bicycles in. They brought their own modes of transportation. Look at this. Just coming in, wearing soccer jerseys, shorts, barefoot, storming the entire country, no consequences whatsoever. And as they come, it's not just trash, it's also physical street fights. We've got. Look at this. Cut three. Here's a fight in. Straight in the middle of the streets of Ceuta. There's fights going on. And now that the Moroccans are the majority population, the Invaders. I expect we'll see a lot more of this.
Kurt Schlichter
Watch here.
Vince
Cut three. Incredible. Absolutely incredible fighting in the streets. People just sprinting through the streets, kicking each other. We've seen images of people trying to break into apartments, Moroccans trying to break into Spanish apartments, climbing up the sides of these walls. It's like a zombie invasion. The hell's going on? Yeah. So one more for you, one more of the invasion and then we'll get to some of the predicates here. Why did this happen? Here is some of the imagery of the overrun beach line as people walk just straight down the beach, kind of wrap around the barrier from Morocco directly into Spanish territory. Take a look. Here's cut four.
J.D. Vance
Look at that.
Vince
Just look at the massive humanity. For those of you on the audio podcast right now, the images really are unbelievable. I'm just watching as tens of thousands of Moroccan men are walking around this measly barrier into Spanish territory. Nobody there to stop them, no efforts whatsoever to barricade them. Eventually the Spanish military has been mobilized. But that's a pretty late process, isn't it, as you've already got tens of thousands of invaders and are they going to be sent back? Well, this is interesting. This is a very interesting quandary because Spain has done something completely suicidal. In fact, there was a recent Supreme Court's decision in Spain that ruled that migrants who come by sea can't be easily and rapidly deported, unlike migrants who come by land. Now, if that's insane to you, that's because it's insane. It's totally insane. So you can rapidly deport somebody who stays on terra firma, but you can't rapidly, rapidly deport someone who dips their toes in the water, which you just witnessed to the tune of tens of thousands of people dipping their toes in the water and then walking into Ceuta. That's what Spain has going on. Here's the New York Times. Overnight, as they describe some of this, Spain mobilizes the military as thousands of migrants cross into Ceuta. The arrivals in Ceuta, a six mile long peninsula on Morocco's northern coast that Spain has governed for centuries, have fueled political tensions. Well, no kidding. What do you mean they fueled political tensions? This is societal chaos. Some. I love how the understatement here, this could create some political tension. This could create the collapse of an entire country, you morons. Thousands of migrants crossing into Spain's North African territory.
Kurt Schlichter
Mm.
Vince
Now, on the Supreme Court decision, this is what the, what the New York Times says Spain's Interior Ministry said human Smuggling networks were seizing on a recent Supreme Court decision to encourage migrants to try to enter Europe through Spain. That decision barred the summary return of migrants intercepted at sea while attempting to reach the Spanish territories. The summary return. Summary return would be we grab you by the oversized basketball shorts and we throw you out of the country the second you walk in. That would be summary deportation. That's not what's happening here. Instead, they're rolling over for invasion. They're rolling over in Spain for invasion right now. Well, the Supreme Court told us to roll over, so they're rolling over and you've got Moroccan invaders who are taking advantage of this weakness. And you know, the. The Prime Minister of Spain is. Is a guy called Pedro Sanchez. Pedro Sanchez. And this guy Pedro Sanchez is a moron. I listened to him earlier this year talking about how Spain is very welcoming and generous. This is Spain's weak ass prime minister creating the conditions where the country can be invaded. Cut five. Watch.
Kurt Schlichter
Some say we've gone too far, that we're going against the current. But I would like to ask you, when did recognizing rights become something radical? When did empathy become something exceptional? Spain is above all, a welcoming country. And this is the path we choose. Dignity, community and justice.
Vince
Dignity, community, justice. Well, not for Spaniards. No dignity for you. No dignity for the people who live here. Dignity for invaders. Now, there's a lot of warning signs built into this. The reason this is an American story as we talk about it is because of what it warns us about happening to our own country. And if, yes, of course, we've had a lot of this happen to our own countries. I'll get to that in a moment. But first, this Pedro Sanchez, do you know what he is? In addition to being weak, in addition to betraying his own people, do you know what he is? He's a socialist. He is a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party. He's one of these commies who don't believe in borders, who believe that borders are somehow an evil. He's an agent of chaos, running his country into the dirt. Any warning signs here for the rest of us? Should we empower socialists in the United States to take over our affairs? They're already promising to do precisely what Pedro Sanchez is doing to his own country. They're promising to kick our borders wide open again. They want people to pour in. They don't think Americans deserve a nice country, that there's anything laudable about the 250 years of American history that our ancestors built. They're agents of chaos like Pedro Sanchez. They're socialists just like that guy. How about no, how about we reject that outright? Meanwhile, the socialists, of course, are taking over the Democrat Party. I started this week, if you go back, I believe it was, to the Monday podcast. We talked about the rise of the Democrat Socialists of America and the long game that they've been undertaking to take over the Democrat Party here in the United States of America. Unfortunately, it's working. They've been doing that with a lot of success and now it's created a full blown civil war in the Democrat Party. The best case scenario is that leads to that party's collapse and obscurity and just disappearance into the political wilderness. But that's hoping for a lot. The concern should definitely be that the socialists are on the rise and these are the kinds of plans they have in store for us. This kind of chaos. In fact, we've seen this chaos at the hands of these Democrats here in the United States. You know, you'd be forgiven for suppressing the memory of what our country looked like. While Joe Biden was being kept in the Oval Office and fed a steady dose of soft foods. This is what it looked like. Remember this western lensman pulling these clips? Here he is, Alejandro Mayorkas, the the awful, evil former DHS secretary and our US Border. Take a look at what it used to look like. Cut six. The challenges at the border are very complex and dynamic. All right, well, I'm going to take
John Cornyn
from that that if you can't answer yes, then the answer is no.
Vince
That is, that is not true.
John Cornyn
All right, so then you're saying all nine are secure.
Vince
It is my testimony that the border is secure and we are working every day, day and night to increase its security. Yeah, right. So the reality is, as much as we're horrified by the images of what we're seeing in a, in a small Spanish territory, the we had this happen on our border. Our border has been wide open for years. Tens of millions of military aged males from every country on planet Earth were pouring into the United States at the invitation of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Alejandro Mayorkas and all of these agents of chaos who've been running the Democrat Party and leading us down a path of destruction. Now, President Trump keeps getting elected as an in an attempt to reverse all of that misfortune. And it's had some positive effect. President Trump has locked down the border. He's deported a lot of people. That mission continues to be underway. Restoring order is essential, but it only lasts insofar as we have leaders who are actually going to protect us right now. We do.
Ted Cruz
But.
Vince
And those leaders have been warning Europe about the disaster that awaits them if they continue down the road that they are clearly on. Among them, people like J.D. vance, the Vice president of the United States, who has issued warnings to Europe over and over and over again about how they are headed down the path of destruction of their once great cultures and societies. Watch. Here's J.D. vance back in. I believe this was at CPAC 2025, cut seven, talking about Europe's collapse. Watch.
J.D. Vance
The greatest threat in Europe is that you've had the leaders of the west decide the that they should send millions and millions of unvetted foreign migrants into their countries. That is the biggest threat to Europe. And frankly, it remains, by the way, the biggest threat to the United States because, yes, we've got four years of President Trump's leadership, but I guarantee you, if the Democrats ever get power again, they're going to try to do it again.
Vince
He's right. He's totally right. We've got Trump right now. Remember, it didn't take any new laws. All it took was a new president. But the same is true of border disaster for the United States. Restarting the invasion of the planet into the United States of America wouldn't take a new law. It would just take a new president, which is why we have to work so hard to prevent the left from seizing power again in the United States. Of course, that goes back to the Save America act, which of course is a preeminent concern. We have to get that passed. We'll get to that coming up. But J.D. vance's warning is correct. We have another warning from J.D. vance. He's talked about this a lot. Take a look.
J.D. Vance
I really believe that we have a great deal in common with Europe. And I'm not, you know, yes, the Europeans annoy me sometimes and yes, I disagree with them on certain issues. But we have to remember that is the cradle of Western civilization. The entire idea of Christian civilization that led to the founding of the United States of America, who that was formed in Europe. The cultural bonds, the religious bonds, these things are going to last beyond political disagreements. But I think that Europe, and frankly, I would have said this about America a year ago, but America, Europe is at risk, I think, of creating of engaging in civilizational suicide. They are unable to or unwilling too many countries to control their borders. You see them starting to push back against that and good, that's a good thing. You see them starting to limit the free speech of their own citizens, even as those citizens are Protesting against things like the border invasion that got Donald Trump and a number of European leaders elected. So, look, I want Europe to thrive. I want them to be an important ally. Part of that is going to be Europe respecting its own people, respecting its own sovereignty, and America can't do that job for them. If you have a country like George, Germany, where you have another few million immigrants come in from countries that are totally culturally incompatible with Germany, then it doesn't matter what I think about Europe, Germany will have killed itself. And I hope they don't do that, because I love Germany and I want Germany to thrive.
Vince
You know, the deepest elements of your culture are, in fact religious, by the way. The deepest elements, the most sincere elements of who you are and how you relate to people are often found in your religion. Christianity in this case, Christianity in Europe's case, because you just heard him use the word Christianity. And it makes me think a lot about what we just saw in Spain, which is the following. That. Remember Ceuta, this small Spanish territory right at the northern tip of Africa there that predominantly is Catholic. Predominantly. Now, are there Muslim populations? Yes, there's a minority Muslim population there. There are Jewish populations inside of Ceuta, but it's predominantly Christian. And now it's just been overwhelmed by Muslim invaders who, if Spain allows, it will become. And I don't even know how much they can turn it back, given the number of people, it's now majority Muslim. So overnight, we went from a small area that was majority Christian to now dominantly Muslim because of the invasion. Does that have an effect on a culture? Does that have an effect on a country? Does that create destabilization? You damn well are right about that. You're totally right about that. It destroys it. Ceuta is no more. If this is allowed to stand, no more. And we're witnessing it right now. You know, the other piece of this is not just J.D. vance, who has issued these warnings to Europe. Need I remind you, Marco Rubio, the great Secretary of State. Man, I love these guys. They've both been so completely candid, honest, and aggressive on this issue. Here's Marco Rubio, not that long ago, Munich Security Conference, talking about this issue, saying that Europe just opened up its damn borders and it has been a nightmare. And they're not alone. The United States did it, too, with Joe Biden and the globalist class, all trying to basically destroy any notion of borders when we have a Western civilization to protect. Here's Marco Rubio on that subject. But to use as leverage against our own. And in a Pursuit of a world without borders. We opened our doors to an unprecedented wave of mass migration that threatens the cohesion of our societies, the continuity of our culture, and the future of our people. We made these mistakes together. And now, together, we owe it to our people to face those facts and to move forward to rebuild. We owe it to our people. We have to face this. We have to move forward. We have to rebuild. And what should we rebuild? We should rebuild our borders. We should rebuild our sovereignty. We should rebuild our commitment to the people who make up this country. This is why, you know, when we talk, when we hear these people say that, oh, America is a nation of immigrants. We've talked about this before, but the whole concept of telling people that America is a nation of immigrants is designed to try and rob you of any sort of mental understanding that this country belongs to you and your family. It's to diminish the thought process that you have inherited something of value. Anybody can pour in here. No, America is not a nation of immigrants. America is a nation of Americans. And we would do well to remember that. And Europe would do well to remember the great legacy that it has, that it has gifted us as a country. We're marking 250 years of this wonderful country. There are buildings in Europe that are older than this country, many of them. But we're watching Europe in collapse, and that breaks our hearts because we are the inheritors of some of the greatest gifts humanity has ever given us. And they come through Europe. They do so. A warning sign. A warning sign in what's happening right now in Spain as we're witnessing all of this. It's tragic. The President and the White House reacting to this yesterday, saying that we warned you, we warned you about this. Bill Malusian has this up from the White House. This is what he said. White House statement on African migrant migrants overrunning the Spanish border in Ceuta. President Trump has long warned Europe what would happen if they continue to implement far left globalist policies, including enabling mass migration. Spain and other countries who have adopted this destructive philosophy should immediately reverse course or risk their own demise. He's got the hat. Trump was right about everything. He's right about this, too. Yes, he is. Yes, he is. All right. So much more ahead on the program. I have to talk to you about what's happening domestically here as we try and prevent the socialists from seizing power in the United States. We've seen how that's gone for Spain. We'd like not to duplicate that here. There's a lot more to get to all ahead on this edition of Vince, including our great guest Kurt Schlichter is coming up just moments away. We'll chat with him. But first, everybody's talking about weight loss injections because the results are very dramatic. They work by helping to lower your blood sugar, reduce your appetite. And, and it's not a substitute or alternative for care from a health care provider. All right, we move on to the, the, the battle to get Todd Blanche to become the full time Attorney General of the United States. Now, right now, he is being considered by the United States Senate for full confirmation. But you have a couple of jackasses who are standing in his way. That would include Thom Tillis and, and John Cornyn, both of whom are destined for the exits right now. And in their bitter final months against President Trump, voters are trying to throw up as many roadblocks as they can to our success as a country. And that would include blocking Todd Blanche from becoming the attorney General. It's a super, super annoying story. But the good news is that fundamentally, they actually can't really stop him from being useful to the country. I'll get to that in a moment. But first on where we are right now. So Tillis and Cornyn have been trying to blockade President Trump. So President Trump is throwing down and announced this week on Truth Social. You know what, I may actually just withdraw the nomination entirely and just wait until these two idiots are gone in January and then I'll bring it back. How about I do that? He announced that on Truth Social, which is, which is funny. I really like that. I think it's hilarious. Now, having said that, you know why is. Why are John Cornyn and Thom Tillis nominally. Excuse me, Thumb. Why are Thom and Cornyn blocking Blanche right now? And this is the most sinister reason. Reasoning. It's because President Trump's administration saw. Saw it fitting to create a settlement fund that would pay out American citizens who were tyrannized by the federal government. That's it. That's the whole thing. I mean, I could get into why they created the settlement fund. It was the product of them leaking Trump's tax returns. I can point out that Trump would not collect a single dime from the settlement fund, nor anybody in his family. That the fund would be set up entirely to make Americans whole who've been actually hurt by the government, which really did happen. That's. That's all of it. And Tillis and Cornyn are both so angry that this fund was ever contemplated that they're demanding Todd Blanch in writing, swear that it will never come to pass, that no American will ever derive a benefit from a federal government that hurt them. That's. That's really what they're upset about, which is a way of saying that they're just being petty bitches. Honestly, that really is what this is about. And, and it's driving. The President's are just annoyed by it. Yesterday, John Cornyn talked to the press because he loves talking to the press. And here he is doing a little bit of whining about the President of the United States. Cut nine.
Kurt Schlichter
Watch. What do you think that it signals
Vince
that the President is willing to withhold Blanche rather than see to what you want to see?
John Cornyn
I don't know if it's just a negotiating technique on his part, but it doesn't really solve any problems because there's no guarantee he's going to have enough Republican votes in. In January to confirm him if he withdraws a nomination. Now, I think we just thought of sit down and try to solve the problem. That's what we've been trying to do at doj, and we thought we were really close until now. The. The President has basically blown that up.
Vince
Just in terms of the President's post earlier today.
Kurt Schlichter
I mean, do you think this is personal?
John Cornyn
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, the President was. Was treated badly when a IRS contractor released his personal tax returns. I mean, and the contractor's now in prison. So there was definitely a basis for the original lawsuit. But the problem is this settlement goes far beyond that and purports to provide future immunity from tax audits for all of the affiliated organizations for the President and his Family, which I understand could go in range into the hundreds. And they weren't parties of the lawsuit, so they shouldn't be parties to the, to the, to the deal.
Vince
Okay.
John Cornyn
And then the only other thing, I
Vince
mean, look, I want to remind people the constitutional role of the United States Senate when it comes to these confirmations is not to run the executive branch of the government. It's advice and consent over whether or not the nominee is well qualified. The obvious answer to that question with Todd Blanch is he's more than well qualified. He's been proven not as an attorney, not just as an attorney standing alongside President Trump and defending him from this kind of tyranny, but as the Acting Attorney General of the United States. Both of these guys should be confirming him immediately. And yet they're throwing up, they're, they're raising a stink because they want to run the Justice Department. Well, if you do, why don't you get your guy elected and then you get nominated to become the Attorney General. In the meantime, stop being a jackass and just get this guy through. It's pretty obvious now the President has jumped in today. This as of this morning, just as we're starting today, as always, is breaking news on truth social media. And he offers this detail about John Cornyn. He said, John Cornyn never had a problem with the so called fund, which will not benefit me, but rather the great American patriots who were hunted down like dogs and whose lives were unfairly and illegally destroyed by the crooked Joe Biden administration until after I decided to endorse and support his Republican primary opponent in Texas. In other words, it's not personal on Trump's part. It's personal on Cornyn's part. He says Paxton easily won the nomination for United States Senate. Perhaps there's never been a group of people treated so badly in our nation's history. Their suffering still many ruined. And I felt that they should be given compensation for what has been done to them. I gave up any payments for myself which would have been substantial, including for the illegal and unprecedented raid on Mar a Lago, my home in Florida. Even though many legal experts and others, including John Cornyn, said it was a shocking and disgusting display of weaponization against me. Such an event has never happened before and hopefully will never happen again. I will always feel that these victims of government abuse should be paid back for what they were forced to endure. Their lives have been ruined. Millions of people agree with me, as was proven in my landslide presidential win, where this was a major subject of debate and so did John Cornyn, until he lost his election to an opponent that I endorsed. Todd Blanch, a good man, should be immediately approved as U.S. attorney General. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President Donald J. Trump, the president saying, just confirm him. This is so stupid. Now, the good news here, the good news here. Oh, and by the way, John Cornyn enthusiastically endorsed Merrick Garland. To be clear, John Cornyn. John Cornyn said Merrick Garland is very well qualified. He should become the Attorney General of the United States who would then go on to tyrannize the United States, just in case you're wondering what his standards are. But the good news here is Todd Blanche as the acting Attorney General right now. Here's a, here's a fun fact about him. He was already Senate confirmed as the Deputy Attorney General, which means it doesn't really matter what John Cornyn wants. He could stay acting Attorney General for the rest of Trump's term. The only thing that would change if he gets Senate confirmed is the title. That's the good news today. All right, More in a moment as we bring in Curt Schlichter. We'll chat with him about all of this and find out what's going on with him in just a moment here on the Ben Show. Well, technically, this is Vince. The podcast, the Vince shows, the radio show. Vince
I'm glad you're up. You played through. He just stayed up all night. Hey, Kurt, what do you make of this battle over whether or not Todd Blanch should be the Attorney General? Is this as stupid as it looks to me?
Kurt Schlichter
Well, look, I think the key question that we have to face here, Vince, is whether the podcast version of the Vince show is FCC complet client. So that I can, you know, you use the proper verbiage.
Vince
Please, please use your expansive vocabulary to describe this. You are.
Kurt Schlichter
I'm going to try and keep control, but it's a bunch of crap. John Cornyn is human garbage. Now, I. I split my time between California and Texas, and when I was Living in Texas during the primary, we were bombarded with John Cornyn is Trump's bestest buddies ads. You know, John Cornyn helping Donald Trump, following Trump's agenda, being the most Trumpy guy ever who ever trumped a Trump. He's Trumpy. And it was, I mean, it was pathetic. And, you know, the Texans saw through it. Like, they're gonna see through that blasphemous imp running against the guy, Ken Paxton, who beat the living snot out of Cornyn. Yeah, but it's hilarious that Cornyn turns out to be exactly the doofus we all knew he was a pompous, overinflated mediocrity with delusions of adequacy, walking around, you know, trying to channel a statesman when he, he's just really like, you know, he's, he's the Ted Baxter of the U.S. senate. For those of you who grew up watching the Mary Tyler Moore show, except Ted Knight was an amusing guy who went on to be on Caddyshack. And John Cornyn is going to be the loser who gets sent home in shame in January because his own state completely and totally rejected him.
Vince
Yes.
Kurt Schlichter
And he's a track record of failure.
Vince
And he's defined by a particular form of sort of conventional Washington deceit, which is like just straight up lie as much as possible in the run up to an election and then betray the people who sent you into office in the first place. Because, like, for instance, as he was trying to get President Trump's endorsement, he kept insisting that he was some great backer of the Save America Act. He's like, I'm for, by any means necessary, whatever it takes, get rid of the filibuster. I've got to get this thing through. And he wrote it, of course, in the New York Post. They put it, they put it in a New York newspaper to try and convince Donald Trump that he had this position. It wasn't about convincing Texas voters he wasn't bothering with them. He didn't give a crap about. So. But then, but now that he's lost, he's like, totally useless on this subject. He's not fighting the Save America act passed. He's upset that his vacation may be upended.
Kurt Schlichter
You know, the criticism of these guys is there are a bunch of posturing dorks who have nothing but contempt for the base and a boundless regard, self regard, even though they're utterly unaccomplished. I mean, you know, go through history and find something that John Cornyn achieved and you, you will come up Empty. And I mean, he's, he's like this stereotype of the kind of guys we've been trying to boot out of office for the last 20 years. And it's just, it's amazing when somebody's exactly like you think he is. Right. You know, he's, it's, it's almost impossible to be such a perfect example of everything we hate. And, and, and he, and the thing is the, the beauty of it is he's now screwing his buddies. Him and Tom Tillis is another of these gibbos.
Ted Cruz
Right.
Kurt Schlichter
You know, next year we're going to have John Thune, Jimmy Jiminy Langford, Barbara Murkowski and some other of these dorks come up, you know, and face primaries and the challenger is going to say, well, you saw what Cornyn did. You saw how Cornyn lied to everybody. You know, the Thunes doing the same thing. Yeah, Lankford's doing the same thing when he's not busy cohabitating with the Democrats about giving amnesty. I mean, these guys, I mean, these guys are just ridiculous and they're so. It's a combination between being stupid and surrounding by these, you know, toe licking supplicants in the sense, oh, you're so great. You said the statesman. You said that. You're such an important man. Look at you. And you've got the thing on your thing and you get a special elevator and we can't leave alone.
Vince
Yeah, they got their Wonka Vader. They, they're Charlie, they got the Chocolate Factory and they're, they're keeping it to
Kurt Schlichter
themselves and there are few Balloos. You know, I worked on the Hill for a short time 40 years ago when I was a kid, but I never forgot it. I remember Ted Kennedy, who's kind of the quintessential one of these staggering out of an elevator, you know, his face looking like it's on fire, smelling like a frat house on New Year's Day. I mean, these people, these kind of guys are a joke. They, they're a dinosaur breed who don't understand it. It's like the, it's like the giant comet has struck the Earth.
Vince
Yes.
Kurt Schlichter
The giant wall of flame is expanding out from the crater and they're, they're, they're just going on, you know, going, I'm a king of everything.
Vince
Yeah, yeah, that's right. No, they're dancing on the rooftop as the alien invasion is coming in and blowing up the building and what was that? Independence Day?
Kurt Schlichter
Yeah, no, that's right, exactly. The building. I Worked next to when I was a lawyer then. So the joke was, the lights are still on because the lawyers are still working.
Vince
That's funny. So these guys. So let's, let's. So let's bring it back to, like, you know, the Attorney General thing. You've got Todd Blanch, who I think is eminently qualified to be considered the full Attorney General of the United States Senate. Confirmed. And then at the same time, John Cornyn, enthusiastically, alongside a bunch of other Republicans, said, oh, oh, Merrick Garland's great, too. Garland is the one who straight up led an attack on the Republic. And Todd Blanche is being put in this position to redress that grievance.
Kurt Schlichter
This is so quintessentially the gentlemanly decline Republican, the, you know, getting passed around for cigarettes on the cell block by the Democrats. I mean, it's almost. You look at it and go, it's almost too on the nose. It's almost like, you know, John Lithgow is the. As the preacher and footloose. It's just too much. You know, give us a little subtlety. But he can't, because he really is that bad. He really is that ridiculous. He really is that goofy, and he really does despise the voters that much. And, and that's the thing. That's the common element with these guys, even guys like Mitch McConnell, who has actually achieved some things, and he was a very cunning warrior. But at the end of the day, he looks at guys like you and me and your audience and says, you should shut up and obey. And I don't know if they've ever met any actual Americans except the little guys, you know, the little goofs in the $200 JCPenney suits they have in their offices. But Americans aren't, okay, I'll shut up and obey kind of people, as John Cornyn found out.
Vince
Yeah, no, that's true. What do you make of this development? That the, the, the base, I would say the MAGA base is more attentive to the affairs of Washington than ever before. And we're, like, kind of hovering over them like we're. We're their parole officers now. Like, like, to the point that I would say this audience has a better understanding of. Of how the United States Senate operates than some senators do. Like, they're not even aware of. And I mean this. I think there are senators who don't really understand the filibuster, its intent, how it works. They've never spent any time thinking about it. They've just been on a glide path. Meanwhile, the Rest of us are thinking sincerely about how we get answers to our questions.
Kurt Schlichter
Well, it's self defense. See, 20 some years ago, 25 years ago, we didn't want to have to do this. We thought, oh, we'll elect a good guy, he'll go there and take care of things and I can focus on my job and get my kid to soccer practice and saving up so I can go on vacation. And then we realized that they weren't looking out for us. And if we aren't going to look out for ourselves, nobody's going to do that was a message of the Tea Party. Democracy is a participation sport. And that's why the Republicans especially were so outraged by the whole Tea Party. I mean, I was there my gosh time, I'm old. They were like, well, wait a minute, why do you, what are you doing?
Vince
Why, who do you think you are?
Kurt Schlichter
Yeah, who the hell do you think you are? American citizens.
John Cornyn
Yeah.
Kurt Schlichter
And they, they were offended. And there's guys like John Cornyn are still offended that we refuse to say, well, John, just tell us what to do and, and, and you know, we'll vote for you. I love every six years you put on a cowboy hat. That's convincing.
Ted Cruz
Yeah.
Vince
Cowboy hat candidacy. That's funny. No, that's true. That's definitely true. Let me, let me tap into some of your legal wisdom now on Anthony Foushee this week, if you don't mind, Kurt. Anthony Fauci testified before the United States Senate he pled the Fifth, allegedly invoking it to cover for a time period that he already has a presidential pardon. So I'm not really quite sure how he could incriminate himself by just explaining all of the crimes he committed because he has a pardon, allegedly. Although it was given by an auto pen. I still would love to see that tested. What did you make of his decision to invoke the Fifth Amendment? 111 times in that hearing.
Kurt Schlichter
Let me make everybody really mad because I'll put on my defense attorney hat, please. Anthony Fauci did exactly the right thing and I would have advised him to do exactly the same thing and he will get away with it. Let's start with the pardon. The pardon, the auto pen thing. It would be fun to challenge it. That will lose. He will, he will win on the pardon. The pardon will be valid. The pardon covers federal crimes up to the date of the pardon. Yes, there is federal law that says, or there's, there's good case authority that says you can't invoke the Fifth Amendment. The right against self incrimination, against a crime for which you've been pardoned. Okay, all right, fair enough. He's been pardoned for federal crimes. He hasn't been pardoned for state crimes. And a bunch of state AGs, including Florida AG, who I like and whose job is not to ensure, whose jobs enforce Florida law, not to ensure that the federal government can force Anthony Fauci to testify, went on right away after Foushee did his 110. You know, what's your name? I invoke the fifth. What day is it? I invoke the fifth and said, well, I'm opening a Florida investigation. I'm investigating violations of Florida law. Therefore, he, Foushee, potentially could incriminate himself under Florida law or Texas law or some other red patriotic states law. And therefore the Fifth Amendment applies. He's not only legally entitled to do it. It's the smart legal strategy. And I know there are people out there pounding on the table going, kurt, I hate hearing that. Well, I'm not John Cornyn and I'm not going to tell you what I think you want to hear. I'm going to tell you what I think you have to hear.
Vince
Well, this. And of course, you know that that's just one legal opinion. Although I do, I do trust Kurt. But let me, let me raise this element, though I am pleased to see, regardless that it looks like you've got Rand Paul and his committee is going to make a contempt of Congress proceeding out of all of this and say that he was obstructing Congress through, through a false invocation of the Fifth Amendment and then send this off to the United States Justice Department and they can handle it the way they want to and then lawyers can battle this out in court. But, you know, the reality is, I don't know. I mean, just let me ask you, just as a, as a normative matter, Kurt, that doesn't it seem obvious to you that nobody deserves more criminal scrutiny right now than Anthony Fauci of all people?
Kurt Schlichter
Oh, absolutely. I mean, it's been six years, so the statute of limitations is going to borrow a bunch of things anyway, but. Yeah, but here's a tough fact. And you know, as those of us who've, you know, had teenagers here, it's not fair. Well, life's not fair. Anthony Fauci. The answer to Anthony Fauci, I'm afraid, is not going to be found in the legal system.
Vince
Well, they did, you know, the federal government did indict his, like, top lieutenant. I mean, I think people Forget this. There are elements of this story that have already made some real progress, progress
Kurt Schlichter
in terms of consequences and properly so. And I'd be interested in hearing what proposed charges people would have against Fauci. I'm not. I think they're probably there. I'm just not sure which sections of the United States Code he's. He actually violated. Being a general lying dirtbag jerk isn't a indictable offense. Otherwise John Cornyn would be sitting in the dock with a bunch of other people. But look, I, I just think. I, I, you know, Americans are very litigious people, and people are always saying, kurt, can I sue? Can. Can we do this? Can we prosecute? As. And, and, you know, I just gotta say, the, the answer is not always going to be found in the legal proceedings. It, it, it just isn't. And I don't think we're going to get satisfaction from Fauci that way. It, It. If it can be done without destroying our Constitution. Because I think the Fifth Amendment is very, very important, and I think the pardon power is hugely important to protect innocent people. Yeah, I'm all for it. I'm not willing to sacrifice. I'm not willing to sacrifice the Constitution for that little creepy gremlin dirtbag.
Vince
No, that's fair, but there's a, there's an element, there's a huge element here of Constitution, of, Of, of the stability of the republic, because this is about the rule of law, not the rule of loopholes. And when you have a situation where the country was betrayed at this level, you can see, of course, and I know you know this, but why we have such a societal appetite for justice, which is like, wait a second. There's massive injustices have happened here. And not just from COVID certainly people like John Brennan and James Comey and James Clapper and all these other deep state idiots who, who abuse their power in order to undermine the duly elected American president. These are the kinds of things that demand consequences because otherwise the country can collapse without any trust in our system.
Kurt Schlichter
I think you're absolutely correct. And Joe Biden and his administration with Merrick Garland, who was supported by John, or by John Cornyn, incidentally, you know, betrayed his office by not pursuing it. That was the guy who should have done it. He shouldn't have issued the pardon. He should have had Merrick Garland focusing him instead of on moms who are concerned about perverts walking in, waving the whole sausage factory around the locker room, their daughter's locker room.
J.D. Vance
Right?
Kurt Schlichter
And he didn't. So has the United States government failed? Yes, under Joe Biden, it failed. I'm not sure what Donald Trump's options are. I think it is important to have these hearings, although I, I find it weird that the senators don't seem to learn from past mistakes. You put these Senate hearings on the road, you don't do them in Washington D.C. with all leftist judges and 95% Democrats on jury. So if these guys do testify and lie, you, you can, you do it in a venue where they might actually get convicted.
Vince
So, you know, wait, wait, wait. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that that was a consideration. So if the huge, if the congressional hearing is held outside of Washington D.C. and a perjury offense occurs in the course of the hearing, the jurisdiction is where the hearing took place.
Kurt Schlichter
Yeah. You go to Dallas, you have the hearing in the Northern District of Texas and the venues in the Northern District of Texas where they have, you know, I practiced there. They have much, much fairer judges and a much fairer jury pool. But you don't do it in D.C. and I know it's very nice to have the, the big Senate conference room where the, you know, perverts like to go and have sex with each other in the off hours.
Vince
Democrats.
Kurt Schlichter
Well, are you sure? But, you know, it's, but, but, you know, if you're serious about these things, you act seriously doing the thing in Washington, hoping he'll lie. Maybe they expect him to take the Fifth.
Vince
I would, I just didn't realize, I thought that the venue consideration was for theatrics. I kind of agreed with it because I just like getting things out of Washington. The closer you are to the peoples, the better. But I didn't realize, I hadn't contemplated that there are actual legal consequences in terms of which jurisdiction it occurs in. I love that idea. And in fact, these Republicans, anytime they've got these hostile witnesses, they should do every single one of these hearings outside of Washington.
Kurt Schlichter
We'll take them on the road to the American people. I mean, I think the people of Nebraska, for instance, deserve to see it up close and personal. Right?
Vince
Yes.
Kurt Schlichter
You know, this isn't the Hunger Games. You know, it's, you know, go out, go out to the, to the districts. Yeah, to the district. I'm not exactly, it's not exactly my young adult mom.
Vince
You know, it's funny, we just watched it. My, my 12 year old's reading the books and we just watched the movie this past week. So I'm, I'm totally dialed in.
Kurt Schlichter
Excellent.
Vince
They're from District 12. I just. Just to brag a little bit, but. Yeah, no, this is. No, you're right. Go get out into the districts. Get out into the United States of America. Especially if you can impose more legal consequences on the bad guys.
Kurt Schlichter
Exactly. What. Why do you set yourself up to fail? Yeah, I mean, haven't we learned these things yet? And, you know, admittedly, the collective IQ of the United States Senate is hovering at about room temperature, and that's just
Vince
Mike Lee carrying all the weight, which is amazing. It's just amazing.
Kurt Schlichter
All right, there's a few good ones. Jim Banks is a good one.
Vince
I agreed. I really like it. Tommy Tuberville is a hero.
Kurt Schlichter
Oh, he's hilarious.
Vince
He's the best. Kurt Schleichter, you're the best. Thank you very much. And by the way, Kurt is going to be filling for me on the big national radio show next week, Wednesday. So if you love his wit and witticisms, you're going to love the big Vince show coming up next week, Wednesday is the great Curt Schlichter fills it for me and Kurt, thank you for doing that.
Kurt Schlichter
I appreciate it. Thanks for having me.
Vince
Yeah, always, brother. All right, more from Kurt coming up next Wednesday on the big national radio show. There he is, Kurt Schlichter, great American. Serves his country in so many capacities, including in the United States military. Our thanks to him. That was. That was great. He's super funny. Okay, so let me. Let me finish today on the issue that I obsess over. This is, by the way, ladies and gentlemen, on the Save America act, if you don't mind. I got a hilarious email yesterday. I got it. Let me find it in my inbox. This. It cracked me up. I don't know if I can find it rapidly. I'll just summarize it for you. I'll just tell you. So. And I showed my daughter this yesterday. I was like, would you believe this email? I got an email yesterday from a guy, great listener of the program, but I don't know how closely he's been listening because he said to me yesterday, he goes, vince, could you please spend more time on the Save America Act? He said, you know, the Anthony Fauci stuff, it's important. But, you know, that's kind of behind us now. We have to get the Save America act passed. Can you please spend more time on it? I look at this email and I'm like, is the contention that I haven't been spending time on the Save America Act? The Save America act, we have a gavel Sound effect. I'm gaveling every day on the Safe America act, but sure, I could spend more time on it if you don't. If you'd like. I'm not sure how much more I could do, but I'm gonna do it. The Safe America Act.
John Cornyn
We.
Vince
It's fun. This is all fun. The Save America Act. Let's talk about it. We have a list that's growing of the United States. The United States senators who are willing to forego vacation. Here's another sound effect. Giving up vacation for the Save America Act. Can you believe it? The list is growing. Thank Daniel Baldwin over at One America is doing a really nice job tracking all of this, for sure. Also, Nicole Saverio at the the Daily Caller has been doing a wonderful job of tracking this too. But I have Daniel's list up right here. Let me see. Daniel Baldwin. It appears Republican senators willing to stay in D.C. during the August recess to fight for the Save America act has grown to 16 to 16. Mike Lee, Rick Scott, Ashley Moody, Jim Banks, Tommy Tuberville, Darlene Graham, Bill Haggerty, Marsha Blackburn, Katie Britt, John Kennedy, Todd Young, Eric Schmidt, Dave McCormick, Roger Marshall, James Risch, and Ted Cruz. Thank you, Ted Cruz, for finally joining the list. Appreciate you for being there. I was feeling bad for producer Jim. He's a Texas guy and he was thinking to himself, I got John Cornyn.
Ted Cruz
Ugh.
Vince
That's a guarantee that we won't have somebody on my side for the Save America act, maybe Ted Cruz. So producer Jim did the. Did the work. He reached out to Ted Cruz. I think he sent them an email, and he said, senator, please, as a Texas voter, I beg of you, I need you on that wall. I need you to say you're going to give up that fancy vacation and pass the Save America Act. Ted Cruz coming through. No doubt at the behest of producer Jim, which we're very grateful for. In fact, Ted Cruz was on the TV yesterday saying, we should skip recess, let's pass the Save America Act. Here's what that sounded like. Cut 11. Do you think you can get the Save America act over the finish line before the recess or before the midterms even?
Ted Cruz
Look, we have to do everything humanly possible to pass the Save America Act. I'm an original sponsor of the Save America Act. For months, I've been making the argument to my colleagues, we need to get this passed to preserve election integrity, to stop rampant voter fraud. As you noted, over 6,000 illegal voters registered in New Jersey. The Democrats. That's how they stay in power. You look at the debacle in California. They may still be counting votes in California. Democrats want illegal aliens to to vote. That's why they oppose the Save America. We need to do everything humanly possible. What I've been arguing to my colleagues is we need to force the Democrats to do a talking filibuster. Not just raise a finger and say, I filibuster, but stand up and talk and talk and talk. Think Jimmy Stewart in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Or remember back the to the 21 hours that I filibustered on the Senate floor against the disaster that was Obamacare. We need to make the Democrats do that until they can talk. No longer. And then we should pass the Save America Act. Absolutely. We should stay here through August. We should keep going until we get it done. And look, it's a real press. Do we get 50 Republicans to stand together? I am fighting tooth and nail to make. Make that happen. I'm grateful for the president fighting. We need to get this done.
Kurt Schlichter
Jim Rome takes on sports.
Vince
I will always have a complicated relationship with this game, but people evolve. So do sports. Do not make me regret this. Do not make me devolve back to that guy that so many clones wish that I still was. And do not embarrass the entire country. Now I can go back. I can get there fast. Lose tonight and you got a real problem. Do not blow it.
Kurt Schlichter
The Jim Rome show podcast.
John Cornyn
You've been warned.
Kurt Schlichter
Follow and listen on your favorite platform.
Vince
Perfect. Perfect. No notes. John Thune should sound like that. Imagine if we had a leader who sounded like that. Ted Cruz got it right there. He definitely got it right. And now you may be thinking to yourself, ted Cruz is just trying to impress me because he wants to run for president in 2028. Well, fine.
Ted Cruz
I don't.
Vince
Whatever. Whatever his motivation is here. In fact, trying to impress voters that you're on their side as a predicate to get you to vote for them is kind of what you expect out of lawmakers.
Kurt Schlichter
You should.
Vince
You should be working to impress voters by doing what they've asked you to do in the first place. You should do that. Ted Cruz is doing that right now, and so he deserves credit for that. But why doesn't Jon Thune sound like that? Why isn't Thune saying, we can pass this stand on your own two feet, exhaust debate, then have the vote at 51? He's not saying that because he's lying to you. He's lying by omission or he's lying Explicitly when he talks about the Civil Rights act, he's just been lying. It's a way of making excuses for failing you. Deceit. I don't like reporting that to you. I hate that that's the case. But I'm always going to tell you the truth. He's just been lying about it. Ted Cruz was telling the truth there. It is achievable. Just have the debate. Have the debate. Pass it at 51. Have the debate. No vacation for you. Meanwhile, the rest of us, if we so choose, might be able to get a vacation in. And in fact, that's the segue, because I am taking a break next week. I'm taking the family on vacation. I'll report details back to you when we get back. I promise it's going to be great. But we're going to take a break for a week. I'll be off a week plus a day just because of the travel requirements as we come back. So I'll be back the following Tuesday. That'll be. What are we dealing with here? I don't know whatever that is. But the point is six days off in terms of broadcast time. Thank you for your patience with me. I appreciate it. I always feel kind of tortured by taking off. I don't really want to because I feel like we've got a great situation and so many of you have made me a part of your life and like, especially, like with the live audience, I just, I feel so, I feel obligated to you. So I really do. And so even just the contemplation of, like, do we take a break? I just, I just, I start, once I start thinking about it, I often say no. I just like, ah, this is a lot of work. I don't want to betray people. I don't want to walk away from them. But we're going to do it this week. My wife's been asking me, can we please do this? I was like, okay, fine, we're in. So we're taking a break, doing that for a week next week. Josh, do you. I don't know if you have a calendar in front of you. If anybody's sitting in studio with you can share this, I believe, filling in for me next week on the podcast. It's all. It's all about a guarantee is. Is. We've got Haley Karenia is going to step in. She's going to do a show for us. We've got Sean Farish stepping in. He'll do, I think, a show or two for us. We've got a couple shows for you, all built in for the next week. It won't be every day of the week, but we do have a bunch of programs coming up in the next week for you. That's all set up. And then on the big national radio show, producer Jim has a a whole suite of great guest hosts lined up for you, including the aforementioned Kurt Schlichter will be hosting the program on Wednesday. So we're not leaving you with nothing. We're leaving you with a whole bunch of great patriots who are going to do the work of continuing to communicate with you and tell you about what's going on in America and hopefully develop some great developments over the course of the next week. Wouldn't it be nice if I came back and I didn't have to every single day about the Save America Act? Wouldn't that be nice? Wouldn't it be nice to have nice things again? That would be nice. You guys are the absolute best as always. Great to be with you. God bless you for being here with me. And I have the big national radio show today. We've got a big, big show coming up. You can listen to it by going to your to your local radio stations. The VIN Show.com to get your local radio listings. You can watch the show live on Rumble 1 to 3 Eastern. Host: Vince Coglianese | Guest: Kurt Schlichter
Podcast Network: Cumulus Podcast Network
Main Theme: The episode focuses on the collapse of national borders—using the sudden mass migration from Morocco into Spain's Ceuta as a warning of Western decline—then pivots to U.S. politics, including the Senate showdown over Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche, internal GOP rifts, and broader threats to American sovereignty and culture.
Vince Coglianese delivers a firebrand conservative analysis connecting international border crises—specifically, Spain’s recent migrant influx in Ceuta—to rising threats against American stability and sovereignty. The episode warns about "civilizational suicide" driven by leftist globalism and lack of border enforcement, parallels U.S. and European trajectories, and criticizes both Democrats and certain Republicans. The latter half features incisive commentary and raw humor from guest Kurt Schlichter on GOP infighting, AG nominee Todd Blanche, and the fallout from Anthony Fauci’s Senate testimony.
If you missed the show, this episode delivers a provocative, well-contextualized warning about the collapse of Western borders, spotlights deep Republican infighting, and serves as a battle cry for conservative listeners to maintain pressure on GOP lawmakers heading into the midterms and beyond. The contrast between how Spain, Europe, and the U.S. have handled border security is hammered home as a civilizational turning point.
