Welcome to Vince on a Tuesday. Great to have you with us this morning, ma'. Am. We've got a lot to get to today, including Eric Swalwell. You know, that guy currently in the running to be the single dumbest member of Congress, according to producer Jim's third annual March Sadness Tournament. It's true. But the big story today is he is desperate for the United States government not to reveal things it knows about him and Fang Fang. Remember that? Yeah, it's back. More on that coming up here on the program. We've got a lot to get to there. Also, the United States Senate continues to be out on a fake recess. We saw Lindsey Graham at Disney World this week. What the hell is going on? Why are they on fake recess? Why are all these senators on vacation? Why don't we have DHS funding? And why don't we have the Save America Act? All of that we will address ahead as we're joined by Senator Roger Marshall. He stops by the program to give us the latest on his perspective from inside the Senate. Don't miss it. And if you're watching live, tell others to join us. As always, rumble.com Vince for the big show. And then today, if I can get to it, I think we can. Are the Fang Fang files about to go public? It certainly seems like it. Based on the freak out that Eric Swalwell is undertaking right now. We have a story from the Washington Post first for you. Eric Swalwell has sent a cease and desist letter to FBI Director Cash Patel. Cease and desist. Do not release this information to the public. Now remember, you know, this goes back to a while ago. This is about over a decade ago that the Chinese Communist Party, the Chicoms, had successfully implanted in Eric Swalwell's world. Fang Fang. Christine Fang. Christine Fang. Fang Fang had entered his world in California politics, and he apparently entered her world too. They were very close to one another and spent a lot of time together. And what ended up happening was the Chicoms apparently were able to use this relationship to their own advantage. Now, Swalwell has insisted ever since then that, oh, I had no Idea. I'm just an idiot. I had no idea that this, this young woman had had a bizarrely high fascination with in Eric freaking Swalwell. What could that have been? Could it have been his stunning good looks, his impressive alpha male stature? What was it that attracted Fang Fang to Eric Swalwell was the fact that he was a sucker. And he's not the only California Democrat who the ChiComs targeted. They did that a lot because a lot of these Democrats ended up being suckers. So Eric Swalwell is very concerned that you and I are going to get full access to all the files that the US Government has on this subject. Suddenly, and here again, this goes to this Washington Post report. Overnight, Eric Swalwell has sent a cease and desist letter to the FBI. Don't tell anybody. Attorneys for Representative Eric Swalwell demanded Monday in a letter to FBI Director Cash Patel that the Bureau refrain from releasing decades old, decade old, one decade old, actually, investigative files involving the Congressman's purported ties to a suspected Chinese intelligence operative. The Congressman called for the FBI to agree within days not to release the files, don't release the files, adding that any further action to release them could prompt him to take legal action. The cease and desist letter followed a report from the Washington Post over the weekend that Patel had dispatched agents to review and redact the files in a potential move to ready them for public release. Swalwell was not accused of any wrongdoing when the FBI investigated him and the suspected spy, Christine Fang a decade ago. Swalwell's congressional office said it had immediately cut ties with Fang when federal agents informed him in 2015 they were concerned she might be an intelligence operative. More recently, the Republican led House Ethics Committee closed a two year investigation into the Congressman without taking action. Okay, so again, just to reiterate a very basic point, if Swalwell has nothing to hide, then what is he panicking about? Why is he so concerned about this? Isn't the rule on the left if you have nothing to hide, then just release the files. Where are the Epstein files? The Epstein files prove that Donald Trump is guilty. We're going to release them. And Trump's like, yeah, you just release them. But every single time they're like, just release these things. Release these things. Except for when it has to do with you. Okay, actually, let's release them. What are you freaking out about? What are you panicking about? Here's Eric Swalwell yesterday whining about this. Whining. Take a look. This case is closed. The Bureau said over 10 years ago, all we did was help. But this effort to weaponize the FBI

time that we are at war shows a distraction. It shows an obsession with going after the president's political opponents, that we're going into the majority a year from now. We have every intention to do that. And so we will bring oversight, accountability. We will subpoena the Department of Justice, but also private actors who have done these drug deals with the administration, college campuses, entertainment companies, law firms. And so accountability is coming. Thank you to Western Lensman for putting those two clips together. Swalwell just said recently that as soon as Democrats get power again, we're going to use it tyrannically. We're going to crush our political opponents with it. We're going to make their lives absolutely miserable. And yet now, when the Trump administration is reportedly considering releasing more information about how exactly Eric Swalwell was such an easy mark for the chicoms, now he's panicking. You can't do that. That's not allowed. I'm sorry. You've already promised to abuse your power the second you get more of it. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is not doing anything abusive. All they're doing is telling the public exactly what's going on in our country, and they're going after the bad guys. This is what we want them to do. In fact, I want more information about the Chinese infiltration of our country this very week. Just on that subject. We'll talk about what's coming this very week. On Wednesday, we are expecting oral arguments in a case involving birthright citizenship in the United States. Birthright citizenship, this idea that if you're merely born inside of our borders, you're instantly an American citizen. Now, you and I both know that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, which is where these people say that they derive this legal theory that everybody born inside of our borders, even if they're just a Chinese tourist visiting America, and suddenly they have a baby boom American Citizen, that the 14th Amendment was never meant for, that the drafters of the 14th Amendment were very clear about what the 14th Amendment was for. It was for former slaves, for people who were enslaved in the United States of America, for black people who were enslaved in the United States of America to say, you are a United States citizen. You were born, you're an American. That's what the Fourth Amendment is for. The 13th, 15th, and the 15th Amendments are all known as the civil rights amendments to the Constitution for a reason. And yet it's been distorted. It's been mangled beyond any intent that these. That the drafters of those amendments intended. It's been used as a way to invade our country and then to steal our stuff, to steal from taxpayers. And on this issue of China, this is also a big deal. Chinese birth tourism has been a thing for years where the ChiComs are sending people in. They have a. Have a baby in the United States, and then that baby is made an American citizen. In fact, we've got tens of thousands of American citizens living in China right now who have been created based on this demented system. On Wednesday, tomorrow, the United States Supreme Court takes up this case. They take up this debate. Say a prayer for your country. That sanity prevails in that court. Say a prayer. And that the squishier justices on the court have some testicular fortitude to make the right decision here. So, yeah. Do I want to know more about the infiltration of the ChiComs in the United States? Definitely. This is the great power battle of our time. This is the great adversarial battle of our time. In fact, at the core of every other conflict that you're seeing right now is the impact on the US China relationship. What does that look like? What impact does that have? When Iran sends 90% of its oil to China? You're damn right it's a big deal. That the president of the United States went in there to denuclearize them and kick out one of China's major power courts. It's a huge deal. Keep your eye on that. The massive thing. But this is this thing about Fang Fang. Yeah, tell us everything. And if Swalwell had nothing to hide, he wouldn't be whining about it. Swalwell knows that there are details in these files that are either highly damning or highly embarrassing to him. Highly embarrassing. What does embarrassing mean? That he's a complete sucker. He's a rube. That the signs were everywhere. Like, what woman sees Eric Swalwell and thinks to himself, yeah, I need a piece of that. Only if you're a chicom. Only if you're in the Chinese Communist Party and you want to make him the idiotic mark that you take advantage of. That's what happened here. And SWAT was worried that all of this laundry is about to be exposed in public. Yeah, that's why he's freaking out. And. And. And this. This Chinese spy, Fang Fang, she was targeting California politicians left and right. Axios had a report on this back in December of 2020. Suspected Chinese spy targeted California politicians. This. This Chicom intel operative developed extensive ties with local and national politicians, including a US Congressman. That would be Eric Swalwell and what US Officials believe was a political intel operation run by China's main civilian spy agency between 2011 and 2015. The alleged operation offers a very rare window on how Beijing has tried to gain access to and influence US Political circles. This suspended operatives activities appear to have ended during the Obama administration as the claim concerns about Beijing's influence operations have spanned President Trump's time in office and will continue to be a core focus for U.S. counterintelligence during the Biden administration. Now that's hilarious because remember, during the Biden era, we had Chinese spy balloons flying over the United States and not being stopped at all. But look, here's. I mean, you can see it right here. Here is Swalwell with Fang Fang right here.
B
Look at this.
A
For Those of you rumble.com Vince. There they are. Look at that. Little wet behind the ears. Eric Swalwell hanging out with Fang Fang. The two of them getting close, holding some, you know, random certificate or whatever. He was given some award. Biggest sucker of the year. Look at that. So this guy, so. So he falls for the. For the chicom lady. And. And. And now he's worried that we're going to find out more about it. The woman at the center of the operation, a Chinese national named Fang Fang, targeted up and coming local politicians in the Bay Area and across the country who had the potential to make it big on the national stage. She knew how to pick them. Through campaign fundraising, extensive networking, personal charisma, and romantic or sexual relationships. They stay here with at least two Midwestern mayors and Eric Swalwell. Eric Swalwell. Fang was able to gain proximity to political power. According to current and former U.S. intel officials. Even though U.S. officials do not believe that Fang received or passed on classified information. The case was a big deal because there were some really, really sensitive people that were caught up in it. Yeah, including Eric Swalwell, who ended up on the House Intel Committee. Fang took part in fundraising activity for Swalwell's 2014 reelection campaign. According to a Bay Area political operative and a current U.S. intel official, Swalwell's office was directly aware of these activities on its behalf. The political operative said that same political operative who witnessed Fang fundraising on Swalwell's behalf found no evidence of illegal contribution. So this is another reason why the feds may have details on Eric Swalwell. The political donations. How aware was Eric swalwell that the ChiComs were routing money to his campaign? This is. They were working to get him elected. The Chinese thought to themselves, that guy is going to work for our interests. He's going to work against his own country. Let's get money into his coffers. Fang also helped place at least one intern in Swalwell's office, according to the same two people. And interacted with Swalwell. Oh, yes, she did. At multiple events over the course of several years. They definitely interacted. A statement from Swalwell's office. This was 2020, provided to Axios. Representative Swalwell long ago provided information about this person, whom he met more than eight years ago and whom he hasn't seen in nearly six years to the FBI to protect information that might be classified. He will not participate in your story. Got it. So wait, in this statement, Swalwell's the hero. Swalwell provided information to the FBI. He's the hero of this story. Why wouldn't you want that out, Eric? Come on. Why couldn't you release this information yourself? Your heroism deserves to be rewarded. Presidential Medal of Freedom. Anybody? Eric Swalwell. Come on, baby, Stop being so scared that you're going to get all the credit that you deserve. But now he's trying to send a cease and desist to the FBI. Typical stuff. So anyway, keep your eyes open for that. I love that. I love, love, love that. Pretty funny stuff. Eric Swalwell. We may get some more information about him soon. Good, good. Transparency is the name of the game. I want to find out a lot more. All right, coming up in just a moment, I want to tell you a little bit more about what the FBI is revealing this week. We found out more about that horrific terror attack that took place at a synagogue in Michigan earlier this month. We know that it was a part of, what was it? Four Islamic terror attacks, Islamist terror attacks earlier this month in the United States. And now we've found out more detail about its connection to Hezbollah, the Iranian backed militant group, the terror group. I've got more on that all ahead on this edition. Events. And of course, Senator Roger Marshall's coming up here shortly. We'll talk to him. Some people in the chat saying that Fang Fang was hot. Thank you, Pelican Pete. Pelican Pete. Fang Fang was hot. Yeah. Wasn't Fang Fang, like, way out of Eric Swalwell's league? Isn't there any part of you? I've said this before, but I'll just reiterate. Do you think Fang Fang was disappointed when she drew the Eric Swalwell straw? Like when all the chicom spies got together and they were each given their assignments and, you know, Chinese Communist Party emissary turns to Fang Fang and says, you have Eric Swalwell? Does. Does her face collapse in disappointment, like, okay, I'll do it for my country. I'll do it for the Chicoms, but only for the Chicoms. Eric Swalwell. That's what alcohol is for. Thank you, Ishmael. She. I think she drew the short straw. That's pretty funny. All right, somebody's got the hots. Not out of his league, says two Buck dc. Two Buck DC is the hotspawa. You gotta deal with that. I don't know what to tell you. All right, let's see here. I. I've got some other things to. To get to here. We've got the FBI. We got the FBI reviewing details of the Michigan synagogue terror attack. This. This month. Michigan. Earlier this month, a man called ayman Mohammed Ghazali, 41 years old, born in Lebanon, buys a bunch of guns and ammo and a huge quantity of commercial grade fireworks and gasoline. And then he drives his vehicle directly through the doors of this synagogue. Remember that one of the, the happy endings of this story is that the security guards who were there who were just trained by the FBI not even a month before in how to handle an active shooter situation, they were their weapons drawn, firing on this guy and stopping this threat as he barrels into the building, which is God bless him for it. And. But this is horrible, this terror attack. So what was this? We'll take a look here. We got some more information. Cut to. He was motivated by Hezbollah.
C
Based on the evidence gathered to date, we assess this attack to be a Hezbollah inspired act of terrorism purposely targeting the Jewish community and the largest Jewish temple in Michigan. The FBI defines terrorism as a violent crime, criminal act by an individual who is inspired by or associated with a designated foreign terrorist organization. We do not make this characterization lightly without a thorough review and keen evaluation of the facts. In this case, the evidence shows the attacker was motivated and inspired by Hezbollah's militant ideology.
A
Motivated by Hezbollah terror attack here in the United States of America. Meanwhile, DHS goes unfunded thanks to the Democrats who aren't that interested in homeland security right now. No interest whatsoever. Everybody's on vacation, the entire United States Senate right now. Again, we'll talk to Roger Marshall coming up in a few minutes about that. But inspired by Hezbollah. Has the media been talking about this at some great length? Any, any concern whatsoever? Because it doesn't really seem like it. I'm glad the FBI has given us an update on the subject. We also know thanks to the FBI update yesterday that the terrorist actually recorded a video of himself declaring his motivations right before he conducted the attack. So all the evidence is there. He recorded it. Watch.
C
God willing, I will kill as many of them as I possibly can. He sends a quick three second video with the same screenshot shortly after and types the message a special operation. In between these videos and photos, the assailant exchanged five short phone calls with his ex wife who called Dearborn Heights the police department requesting that they do a welfare check on her ex husband. And at 12:19, as we all know, the assailant drove his video his vehicle ramming into the doors of door five. And he hit it twice, tried once to hit it, had to reposition his truck and then came in at a high rate of speed going about 200ft down the hallway.
A
He screamed Allahu Akbar. He shouted it into the video camera before he conducted the attack. We have a problem in America. We have people who have invaded our country, often welcomed in by the Democrats who have turned around and either actively killed Americans or attempted to and in this case were stopped by arm Americans. That's the story. Right now. We have a crisis in the United States of America. We have a Homeland Security crisis and a Department of Homeland Security that doesn't have funding right now because the left wants the chaos. They want it, in fact, they want it so badly that, that they're willing to reinterpret reality and invert it. And then to tell you that good things are bad things. Like, for instance, the left is, is consistently attacking ice. They're making out the good guys or the bad guys in their worldview. And therefore we have to stop and in some cases attack in the, in the left sides, the good guys, to help induce the chaos. An example of this is yesterday on Ms. Now, you know that network Ms. Now it's where all the hosts have resting Democrat face. One of their morning hosts, a woman called Mika Brzezinski, she said that President Trump's use of ICE to alleviate the airport traffic is actually a great thing because it reminds Americans of what a bunch of murderers they are. Take a look at the delusional rantings of one Mika brzezinski over on Ms. Now Watch.
C
I mean, there are really no words to describe the pain and trauma that this administration has caused for so many people across the country with their deportation program, their violent and unlawful, brutish and some would say murderous deportation program, totally unlawful, not murderous. It's really a stain and a strain on what we all know is the American dream. It's a value that binds. Protecting the American ICE rips that apart. So I say ICE at airports may be a good idea.
A
It is.
C
Because as millions of people travel across the country for spring break or whatever else, they'll be reminded when they see ICE of Trump's worst policy, at least one of his worst policies ever, to rain down on this country. So let us never turn a blind eye on what ICE is doing to human beings in this country, America, and let ICE at the nation's airports be that reminder for everyone as they move on with their lives and go on their vacations and live well as ICE rains hell down on communities and people and families, some undocumented but still rights in this country country, they break everything. And it's a good reminder.
A
Oh my goodness. Oh my good dispatches from opposite world. That's a perfect inversion of the truth. And by the way, I instantly was able to determine that woman flies private. She's not actually going through security. She hasn't encountered ICE at the airport. She's flying private. There's no way. There's no way. Because Americans who've encountered ICE at the airport have enjoyed their experiences. She thinks this is some big own on the ICE agents. Oh, they'll see them and they'll be reminded of their tyranny, how they're making America a terrible place. Actually, what they're going to do is they're going to find out that people like you have been lying to them. That's what they'll do. That the spell can be broken by that human contact with ICE officers who are there to help American citizens on their travels. They're doing extra work now. As I've said before, they're the Marco Rubio of government agencies. They do it all. They're saving the lives of children, they're reuniting families, they're deporting illegals, and they're helping at the airport. They do it all. And as far as Tom Holman and President Trump are concerned, they're going to keep doing it as long as the need is there. Now, as far as TSA is concerned, they've started receiving paychecks thanks to the president's emergency order. He just put an emergency order through to get them paid, which is wonderful. They got a couple of weeks of paychecks. And the goal here is to get everybody back to work. But we need a permanent solution. And the permanent solution would be if Congress would get it, get its ass back to Washington and actually pass DHS funding. That would be good, wouldn't it? Coming up, we're going to talk to a US Senator about this, Roger Marshall, and find out his perspective on why it is that the United States Senate is on a fake recess right now and what can be done about it. Thank you sir for joining us. Miss.
B
Look forward to. We got a lot to talk about.
A
We do have a lot to talk about. Tell me why the United States Senate is in what I call a fake recess and what I mean by that. I know you know this, but right now the Senate's not actually in an official recess. They're gaveling every couple days. And the reason that the Senate does that is to prevent the President from exercising his recess appointment power. That's why the Senate does this. That all seems crazy to me. Why is this happening right now? Well.
B
Well, Vince, I wish I had a great explanation and I really don't. And I Don't pretend to have one. All I can tell you is that the Democrats do not want to fund ice. They don't want to fund dhs. They want these tens of millions of people that are in this country illegally. They want to give them a path to citizenship and a path to vote. So we're just beating our head against the wall. We remember it was 30 days before, 30 days after they shut down DHS, that they're willing to even sit down and talk to us. I think they've proven. They've proven that we overestimated that we could get 10 of them across the aisle and join us in funding DHS or ice. We're just at impassive. So we need to work on a reconciliation bill. It'll take them two weeks, them, Leader Thune, John Thune, Speaker Johnson, the White House, to figure out what that reconciliation package looks like. As soon as they get it together, you know, we'll come back and vote on it.
A
But why is the Senate taking a vacation at all? So. Because as I understand it, and you can speak to it very directly, Senator, one of the ways you can compel senators to actually do something is the tyranny of the process. You just exhaust them. You force them to work a lot, and eventually they're like, I don't want to be here anymore. Okay, fine, I'll vote yes on this. And why not use that during this, really, first of all, as a critical election year. But more importantly, you know, the president has this agenda. Save America. We have to get the Save America act passed. Super important. Also, DHS needs to be funded. Why not just take this to the mat and fight like crazy right now? Why have a vacation at all?
B
Yeah, because, well, no one's on vacation. Yeah, you know, I'm in the middle of my 105 county tour. I'm back here seeing, meeting the people of Kansas. We were getting nothing done in. In Washington. You know what, you know, insanity doing the same thing over expecting a different result. When you're in the minority, when you're in the minority of the Senate, it gives you the advantage. So what they can do is we, you know, we tried to drag this out as best we could with them, but when you're in the minority, you can ask for quorum calls. You can ask put amendments on the floor forcing the majority to stick around. So we saw that. We stuck around over a week of them. 10 of them checked out. You know who was the first one on the train out of town? You know, it's Elizabeth Warren. And Bernie Sanders, when we went for the weekend, they don't need to stick around for the votes, but when you have the majority, you have to stick around. So it punishes the majority. And that's the way it was set up. It was set up. The Senate is set up to protect the minority. Remember, we're not a democracy, we're a republic. So the protect those who are in the minority and being and Senate in general, protect small states.
A
I think I understand the point you're making, but. And you may not be on vacation, you may be working during this period, but I just saw pictures of Lindsey Graham at Disney World. There's clearly members of the Senate who are on vacation right now. And my thought process, and certainly I know my audience shares this is we have to torment the Senate into compliance like we have to torment the Senate into getting these, these critical priorities passed. And when you see senators leave town, you're left with only this conclusion, which is like they don't think this is as important as we do.
D
Yeah.
B
Vince, again, I can assure you that at the leadership position they're trying to hammer this out. The Democrats have said hell no. They've said hell no to voter ID. Not one senator, Democrat senator would vote for voter ID despite 70% of Democrats supporting voter ID. And they will not fund ICE. They're not going to fund DHS. So they have closed that circuit. Shame on us for thinking for, for some 40 days that we could get some Democrats to come across the aisle. So when it. Now I do wish the Senate could do a better job of going down two roads at the same time. I was a reconciliation bill weeks ago and to get started on that. But, but the leadership folks are putting this reconciliation bill together, working hand in hand with the White House. It'll be a miracle for them to get this together in two weeks to figure out exactly what we're going to fund. How are we going to put the SAVE act into a reconciliation bill? So it sounds really easy, but right now our staffs are working really hard. Phone calls as needed. Look, I'm as not anxious, I'm as determined as you are, but it looks easier said than done.
A
Okay, so you mentioned reconciliation. Obviously that's a vehicle where funding priorities can happen. So funding dhs, for instance, that doesn't seem like a, like a difficult call for reconciliation. But the Save America act, you know, Mike Lee has, has already declared that's impossible. Like getting any real priorities in reconciliation for the Save America act. That's impossible because it needs to have a meaningful Budgetary impact to be included in reconciliation. These are matters of policy for the United States. The Save America act, like whether or not you have to show an ID at the polls. Not something apparently that can be done in reconciliation. And this is not even a Senate rule. This is a statute, this is a law the way reconciliation is conducted. So what, what do you anticipate about that?
B
Yeah, because I mean you're spot on. I don't want to over promise and under deliver what we cannot do with reconciliation by reconciliation. We reconcile the budget. So when whatever we pass vote on even has to do more do with budget than with policy. So for instance, just the last reconciliation bill, our working family tax cuts bill, we weren't able to outlaw abortion, but we were able to defund Planned Parenthood for a year. So I think we have to use that same type of technique with this reconciliation bill and it'll have to be very thoughtful. So what we cannot do, we're not going to be able to force states to have voter ID or proof of citizenship. But what we can do is use the power of the purse. So right now 35 states have some type of voter ID. What we can do is give them monies to help them work on their voter rolls and they can, they, we can hook them up with technology to look at DHS's voter not voter was DHS's roles. Who's on government aid, immigration aid. We can have them look at Social Security information, we can have them look at the passport information and figure out if the people who are registered to vote in their states are citizens or not. So I think that there, there is some power of the purse here. Every year we give the states about between 15 and $75 million for elections. So I think that if, look, if. I'm not sure if we can do this all the way, but in my opinion, if you don't go back and go through your voter rolls every year, if you don't have voter id, then we're not going to give you any of that money. So I think there's some things we can nip at the edges. Just like we defunded Planned Parenthood.
A
So it is. So you think it is possible to create either incentives or consequences for states who don't have election integrity?
B
I think so. I think, you know, basically we can stop funding these blue states that have, you know, I think the biggest challenge to me is when you send out unsolicited ballots and you don't have any type of confirmation, is that person dead? You sent it to or not, do they still live in the state, all those types of things as well. So I think we can defund those blue states that have no election integrity. We'll, we'll see it. And again, it's easier said than done. It has to be thoughtful. We have through the birdbath and it'll take days. Arguing this in front of the parliamentarian.
A
I want to, I want to use some of the evidence that you just laid out against the Democrats to point out that, that perhaps the filibuster as it exists right now is overdue to be torn up. Because these Democrats, you have a gentleman's agreement with them on a number of issues in the United States Senate. The filibuster is an example of that. You, basically because they're in the minority right now, they've got power over Senate business. If you can't get 60 votes on a lot of, on most things. Also you've got the blue slip process that allows Democrats to simply veto U.S. attorney picks and federal judges if they're in their state, like Adam Schiff gets a veto over the president's picks. These, these gentlemen's agreements are not serving the American people well anymore. There was a time when they might have been, but now they're not because you can't even get senators to fund the Department of Homeland Security. That's how crazy this has gotten Senator Marshall. So at what point do we say, you know what, we should scrap this because it is hurting our country. It's not merely some tool that's going to help us in the future. The Democrats are going to blow through it. What do you think?
B
Yeah. So, Vince, I agree with you, but it wasn't without months of thought about it. I thought about this as much as I thought about what college I was going to go to, what medical school I was going to go to, what type of doctor I was going to be after I finished medical school. And, and it's been a process for me, but I'm ready to do it. I come to that same conclusion. But I would guess, I think there's only 10 or 12 of us on public record saying we're ready to end the filibuster. I bet there's a third of the Senate that's a hell no Republican senators and probably a third that are undecided. And these are thoughtful people. Vince, however much time and with all due respect that you've spent on this, you at United States senators have spent 10x time debating this and we have debated it many times that again, the Filibuster protects you when you're in the minority, and we're not going to be in the majority all the time. And the Senate itself protects small states. Again, we're a Republican, not a democracy. And so I, I guess I'm saying is I respect where they're coming from, but I think that that election integrity is so important that I'm willing to end the filibuster, especially the, the, the silent filibuster, make them go up and hold the floor and talk as long as they want to. So I'm very willing to do that. But again, a third of my Republican colleagues are not. And these are thoughtful people. I know we kind of like to trash some of them, but these are very thoughtful people.
A
Well, maybe so. But as you concluded, they're wrong. They're wrong on this position because what they're not recognizing that you've clearly come to a recognition about is what time it is in our country, that you're dealing with agents of chaos across the political aisle and that they will gain power and they will kick that wall down and they're going to establish new states, they're going to grow their Senate majority fraudulently, they're going to pack the United States Supreme Court. Peril lies ahead if more senators don't arrive at your position. So you may find them to be making sophisticated arguments, but you clearly believe that they're wrong, correct?
B
Yeah, I do. And this is one of my summary thoughts in my head is I don't want to die on this sort of principle. Look, look, I have my values and my sort of principle, but I don't want to lose the Republic because of it. Right. I live in the real world. I don't live in an ivory tower. If you would enshrine the filibuster in the should and tell me the Democrats will never take it away, I would probably vote yes on that. But that's not the world we live in. As you pointed out, there's no longer this political middle and we just come to a gridlock. Unfortunately, that's what it feels like to me is we come to this gridlock, gridlock for a lot of reasons, and it is just a different day than it was in 1917 when they started these filibuster rules.
A
Can, can you take. I always ask senators to try and take me behind the scenes, if you could, in terms of, like, you know, the way things are working inside of that building. John Thune was asked many times this year about the Save America act and the use of the Speaking filibuster as a tool to pass it. And this audience is pretty familiar with the way that that would work. But just to remind people, it would be by a simple majority, but you would need all the Republican senators to agree to engage in this process and it would be a long winded one, no doubt to engage in a fight like that. But at the end of it, if you exhaust everybody speaking, you can pass legislation by simple majorities. The way the Senate used to conduct business just doesn't do it anymore. These days. Having said all that, every time John Thune was asked about it, he would just say, well, we just don't have the numbers. We just don't have the numbers is what he was saying. He would kind of assess it like he was a dispassionate play by play commentator. But he's the leader, as President Trump just said this week. Again, he's like, if you're a leader, you need to be a leader. You need to twist some arms. You need to actually try and convince people to join this fight. How much arm twisting was going on in the Senate, Senator? How much was the leadership trying to get people to use the speaking filibuster to pass this?
B
Yeah, you know, everyone has their different leadership skills, Vince. And I would say that John Thune has, has done an incredible job. I think his leadership is more listening publicly. But, but every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, we have lunch together as a Republican caucus for an hour and a half and that's where the real debate occurs without cameras on and unless somebody's leaking information out of there and unfortunately some of my colleagues do that what's said and they're supposed to stay in there. So I think it that he, and then John Barrasso is the whip. I respect the heck out of these people. I think they did as much arm twisting as you can in the United States Senate. Look, these are grown men and women, okay? These are not, you know, some puppets that were sent here. We're not lemmings like the Democrats. When Chuck Schumer says tells his, his, his members to jump, they jump. And that's not who the Republicans are. We, we believe in our principles and we're going to stand up. And that's why you love us, that's why you love our party, that we can debate this. Disagree. But I still love the fellow. I've never been. I, it's been a long time since I've been this part of a close team that we are fighting together. So I think the save acts a great example. I think we have 50, maybe 51 votes for Republicans would vote this for the SAVE Act. But if we were to talk about, about ending reconciliation, we lose 10, 20 or it's not even close. If it was two or three people would be much easier. But I think a third of the Republican senators are against ending the filibuster and a third are undecided. These are grown up people.
A
Yes, sir. And sorry, just to be clear, I'm not talking about ending the filibuster in this case. I'm talking about using the speaking filibuster as the technique to pass this. And that would require a simple majority as well. It would just be an exhaustive process. And my question, my question was simply is, is John Barrasso and John Thune, do they support using that technique? Did they say that to you and other senators?
B
I'm just going to say, Vince, that's a fool's errand. And I, I spent weekends doing AI, doing war models on how this would work out and we always lose. When you're in the minority, you can sabotage this. And that was my point is that, that the, the minority can bring up amendments and then, then Republicans have to produce a majority to go in there and block their silly amendments. They would give us amendments on so many silly things. And some of them would pass. Right? Some of their silly amendments. I call them silly. They're. But they're poison pills. And then would kill the bill. They could ask for a quorum call as well and we would have to get up 10 times in the middle of the night. So we would be anchored here. It would go on for months. Every time they bring up a new amendment, then each one of them gets two more speeches as well. I'm sorry that I'm disappointed that it was presented as an easy task, but I think there's a 99% chance that we lose that at the end of the game. And that's, that's my opinion. I spent hours on this trying to figure out, you know, how does it really end up. We end up losing it 99 times out of 100, if not 100 times out of 100.
A
Okay. And I could, believe me, I'm listening to you explain this. I'm thinking through like there's a million different things that I've seen on this subject. So I won't, I won't engage you in a never ending back and forth on the specifics, but I just, I just, I will say that I'm concerned about, yeah, I'm just concerned about the state of our country right now. And I think, and I hope I speak on behalf of you and certainly for our audience, that we just want to see more forward progress. The president of the United States is calling for anything that can possibly be done right now. What should the Senate be doing right now that it's not doing, in your view, Senator Marshall?
B
Desperation that we're losing our republic. I share that 110%. And I think it's great that you can challenge me. And just like you're challenging me, these are the same type of discussions that we have at lunchtime in the United States Senate as well. So those same conversations are happening. Look, I think we are forced to do reconciliation as soon as we pass the working family tax cuts. I was ready to go ahead and work on reconciliation then that I've come to the conclusion that Democrats hate Donald Trump so much, if he brought a cure for cancer to the Senate floor, they would vote against it. And that's just the political reality that we live in right now. And I still think there's some moral issues and value issues going on back home as well. And people say, you know, what can you do to help me? Look, we need people with traditional American values of faith and family, community, hard work, you know, running for the school board and all those local offices as well. So I think there's things that we need to do back home to shore up our families and our. But you're absolutely right. This is the time I've never seen. It probably goes back to the Civil War when you had two parties so distantly split. One more thing and you about this, but I think in this day and age, what I see is the far right and the far left running these political parties. It's the tail wagging the dog that this vocal minorities control the narrative, they control the fundraising, and they control the news cycle as well. And the legacy media just beats the hell out of all of us. So if you're a moderate, and I can use the word moderate, if you're a sensible Democrat and you want to vote for voter ID or funding ice, I mean, you will be torn to pieces and by your own party. And it is much more difficult than, than I think folks back home realize what it's like to get torn up by your own party.
A
Yeah. And I know right now on the right, the left has its own problems with radicalism. On the right, I think the biggest problem we have right now is a concern about a disinterested status quo in Washington that is far too prone to sort of those establishment reflexes and not paying close enough attention to where the people are. And that's the frustration I think that spells out. And the reason why so many senators are getting phone calls right now is because of that sentiment. Senator Marshall, I'm appreciative of you coming on, sir. Thank you for joining us today to talk about this. I hope you do it again soon.
B
Yeah, Vince, thank you for the conversation, and thanks for letting me, you know, adequately respond. And we're in this together. That's all I can tell you. Our listeners, we're the patriots of today. We have to save this democracy, this republic, and. And I'm just out here battling every day with you. So thanks so much for your help, Senator.
A
Appreciate you coming on, sir. There he is, Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas here on the program. You know, like. Like I said, you know, I could. I could probably. I could have spent another hour litigating all of the specifics about the. The speaking filibuster. We watch as Rachel Bovard and others have talked about the details, like, you know, filling the amendment tree and then getting some Republican unity on voting no on. On whatever random, you know, poison pill amendments Democrats think they can offer. But what we're looking for is a fight. We're looking for a fight. That's what we want. Very simply, we're looking for people who are willing to stand up for what they believe. In fact, that's the story here in. In the NBA. You guys seen the story this week of this NBA player from the Chicago Bulls? His name is Jaden Ivey, and he was just fired by the Bulls because he said he believes in Jesus and he objects to the NBA promoting Pride Month. That's a reasonable objection. You can't say that out loud. He said it out loud and they canned him. Take a look here. Jaden Ivy, this is Cut Cut8 talking about his faith in Christ, and this is what got him canned. Watch that.
D
The world can proclaim lgbtq, Right? They have. They have. They proclaim Pride Month and the NBA, they proclaim it. They. They show it to the world. They say, come, come, come join us for Pride. For Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness. They proclaim it. They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it in the streets. Unrighteousness. So how is it that one can't speak righteousness? How is it one that. How are they to say that,
A
man,
D
this man is crazy. I'm not. I'm not the J. I used to be. But the OJ Is dead. I'M alive in Christ no matter what the basketball setting is. I'm born again, the Holy Spirit, and I've been saved by Jesus Christ no matter what. How many DMPs, I don't. I don't get to play or. No matter how many points I score. Those things are a temporary thing.
A
Those things are a temporary thing. He's had a massive breakthrough in his life. You know, if you listen to him talking in the past about what he was into, what his life had become, he was like, my whole life was the NBA, and I had fallen into all sorts of states of sin. Actually, my life was kind of ruined by it. Josh, do you have this, by any chance, this example of Ivy talking about how his faith in Jesus saved him? All right, good. Let's play this. I want people to hear this. He goes, the NBA was everything to me. And eventually he wasn't a starter anymore, and he was starting to feel depressed about this. He was like, I'm not starting anymore. He's sitting on the bench. And then he started realizing, wait a second. There are more important things in life than all of these sort of shallow, sinful distractions I was engaging in. Watch.
D
All I'm preaching is about Jesus Christ. And they. They waive me, right? They say. They say I'm crazy, right? I'm psycho. That don't add up. That's not adding up, right? God let these happen. God, like God let these things happen for a reason. And his will be done. May his will be done. Right? May his will be done. Not my will. My will is done.
A
Yeah, that's him reacting to the news that they canned him yesterday. He was. I think he was boarding a flight. He was filming a video of that. And he seems. He seems at peace with it. He seems at peace with it. He must have read his Bible. He knows that this is a part of the deal, as Christ laid this out in the Beatitudes. But also, here is again, Josh, again. This is when him talking about how the NBA was everything to him. Do you have that clip? You do have that. Okay, here it is. Here's Jaden Ivey. Watch.
D
The NBA was everything to me. I didn't know God. I didn't know Jesus. When I came to the NBA, I was a fornicator. I was a pornography addict. And. And I. I used to get drunk. That's all I knew. And after a win, I felt good. After. After all those points, I felt good. I felt good. I felt like I had everything set out for me, right? But.
A
But.
D
But as soon as that shut down for me as soon as I didn't start. That's when God was humbling me. And he said, he sat me down for a reason.
A
He sat me down for a reason. Man. Listen to the honesty from that guy. Just, he said. What did he say? He said, when I came to the NBA, I was a fornicator. I was a pornography addict. I used to get drunk. That's all I knew. After all those points, I felt good. I felt like everything was set out for me. And then he said he found Christ. He found Christ. Okay, so I mean, what do you object to there? What's the objectionable thing that came out of his mouth? The Chicago Bulls posted a statement to the Internet last night that said the following. Look, this is it. Just a little graphic of a Bulls logo. The Chicago Bulls announced today that the team has waived guard Jaden Ivey due to conduct detrimental to the team. Conduct detrimental to the team. What did he do? Smack a woman around? Was he accused of rape? Was he in a dui? What is the conduct that's detrimental to the team? Did he accuse Donald Trump of being Hitler? Did he say that ICE agents are murderers? Did he do any of those things? Because last I checked, all of the things I just mentioned are things that other NBA players or coaches have done and they haven't been canned by their teams for conduct detrimental to the team. So what is this? Why an attack in particular on Christianity? Because that's all he's expressing is Christianity. You know, Another former Chicago Bull is now a head coach in the NBA. Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr. And just in January. He is an out of control left wing zealot who uses his time in front of the microphone to say the, the, the most insane and dishonest things imaginable to advance the power of the Democrat party. And in January, he was accusing ICE agents of being murderers in the United States of America during an NBA press conference. Watch. Here's Steve Kerr. This is him in January.
B
I'm glad that the Timberwolves recognized her life and the tragic nature of her death. And it's shameful really, that in our country we can have law enforcement officers who commit murder and seemingly get away with it. It's shameful that the government can come
A
out and lie about what happened when
B
there's video and witnesses who have all come out and disputed what the government is saying.
A
So very demoralizing.
B
Devastating to lose anyone's life, especially in that matter. So it's terrible, terribly sad for her family and for her and for that city. And I'm glad the Timberwolves came out
A
and expressed that sadness. It's left wing psychobabble. Just complete left wing psychobabble. He has no idea what he's even talking about. He's just spreading a poisonous lie designed to demonize ice and demonize the President of the United States. And he wasn't removed for conduct. What is the, what is the stupid phrase that they're using? This like conduct that's detrimental to the team? They didn't waive, they didn't get rid of him for conduct detrimental to the team? No, they kept them around. This is madness. And again, it goes precisely to the words of Jesus Christ and the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes. And today I want to end with this. This comes to us from, well, from scripture. But today it's being shared with us by the running back for the New England Patriots. God bless him for this. The media is all over him right now for saying this. Travion Henderson posting this to X overnight and he posted a lot of scripture, but this is the big one. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Good for him. Good for him. Standing up for a fellow Christian. Standing up for the truth. Standing up for decency in the face of indecency. What a story. What a story. Keep the faith. Stay in the fight, no matter the cost. Thank you as always for being here with us today. Main Theme:
"Swalwell Scrambles to Stop FBI From Releasing 'Fang Fang' Files"
Exploring the political chaos surrounding Rep. Eric Swalwell’s ties to alleged Chinese spy Fang Fang, the broader landscape of foreign influence, the Supreme Court’s dive into birthright citizenship, and the growing cultural clashes at the heart of American politics.
This episode dives into several major topics making headlines:
The discussion is fast-paced, irreverent, and packed with pointed commentary targeting Washington D.C. dysfunction, national security threats, and media narratives.
“If Swalwell has nothing to hide, then what is he panicking about? Isn’t the rule on the left, if you have nothing to hide, then just release the files?” [06:20]
“What woman sees Eric Swalwell and thinks to himself, yeah, I need a piece of that? Only if you’re a chicom.” [10:28]
“Swalwell knows that there are details in these files that are either highly damning or highly embarrassing to him. Highly embarrassing. What does embarrassing mean? That he’s a complete sucker.” [11:54]
“This is the great power battle of our time. At the core of every other conflict that you’re seeing right now is the impact on the U.S.–China relationship.” [09:18]
“We have a problem in America. We have people who have invaded our country, often welcomed in by the Democrats, who have turned around and either actively killed Americans or attempted to…” [23:17]
“We remember it was 30 days before, 30 days after they shut down DHS, that they’re willing to even sit down and talk to us.” [31:16]
“I don’t want to die on this sort of principle. …I don’t want to lose the Republic because of it.” [41:16]
“What we’re looking for is a fight. That’s what we want. Very simply, we’re looking for people who are willing to stand up for what they believe.” [49:29]
“Desperation that we’re losing our republic. I share that 110 percent.” [46:45] “If you would enshrine the filibuster in the should and tell me the Democrats will never take it away, I would probably vote yes on that. But that's not the world we live in.” [41:29]
“What is the conduct that's detrimental to the team? Did he accuse Donald Trump of being Hitler? …Last I checked, all the things I just mentioned are things that other NBA players or coaches have done and they haven’t been canned by their teams…” [55:38]
Vince, on Swalwell:
"If Swalwell has nothing to hide, then what is he panicking about? ...Except for when it has to do with you. Okay, actually, let’s release them. What are you freaking out about?" [06:10]
Sen. Marshall, on gridlock:
"Democrats have said hell no to voter ID. Not one senator, Democrat senator would vote for voter ID despite 70% of Democrats supporting voter ID. And they will not fund ICE." [34:07]
On culture war double standards:
"Why an attack in particular on Christianity? Because that's all he's expressing is Christianity." [55:38]
Jaden Ivey’s faith journey:
"The NBA was everything to me. I didn’t know God. I didn’t know Jesus. When I came to the NBA, I was a fornicator. I was a pornography addict. And. And I. I used to get drunk. That’s all I knew." [54:21]
