And.

And he says Iran has agreed to the beginning of this process. And that means allowing IAEA inspectors, international inspectors, to show up and examine whatever their nuclear program looks like right now. Cut one, watch the Vice President.
Vice President of the United States
Yesterday was a very, very good day. We made a lot of good progress. We did exactly what we wanted to do, which is accomplish four things for the American people. First, we wanted to build a mechanism for keeping the Strait of Hormuz open. It is open. We', seen, of course, gas prices and oil prices come down. Millions and millions of barrels of crude and natural gas flowing through the Strait of Hormuz that weren't flowing before. But we also wanted to make sure that we actually set up the coordination mechanism so that we could de mine the Straits of Hormuz so that when there are the conflicts that inevitably come up, we can make sure we work through them rather than that leading to escalation. And that is exactly what we did yesterday. Number two, we also wanted to build a mechanism, a similar mechanism for deconfliction, for the regional ceasefire. As the President of the United States has himself said, sometimes these ceasefires just mean you're shooting a little bit less. But we wanted to make sure that we had the proper coordination set up so that if there is shooting, if Hezbollah fires at Israel or if Israel responds, if there are other conflicts that arise in the region, we're actually talking to each other and figuring out how to stop the shooting, how to make the region safer. Our allies and everybody else, we set that up as well. Number three, we. And this is probably what we're most excited about as Americans. The Iranians have agreed to invite IAEA inspectors back into their country. That is a major milestone for the American people and the first step in permanently denuclearizing or permanently ending a nuclear weapons program in Iran.
Vince
Okay, so we got a couple of big items there. The first being the Strait of Hormuz being open, a deconfliction line being set up so the United States and Iran can talk to each other in order to keep that straight, clear and free as they work on de mining over the next 30 days. And of course, these negotiations over the next 60. The Vice President describing all of this as building the foundation of a house. They're not building the whole house yet. This is just about building that foundation. Where do we start? This is square one. We've also got the announcement about Lebanon, a deconfliction line for Lebanon. Lebanon is, of course, where this Iranian terror proxy, Hezbollah is based. They keep firing all sorts of missiles and drones in the direction of Israel and Israel is responding in kind. Israel's been trying to defend itself against these deranged terrorists over and over and over again. And so what they're trying to set up here is a communication line to try and bring down the tensions in the region to try and calm these things down and get Hezbollah to, to stop attacking Israel. You heard the vice president wisely say it there. It's not Israel that's initiating attacks. It's Israel that's responding to these attacks. He wants all of them to stop. They've set up new lines of communication in order to do that. And then the IAEA going in, this will be, this is a big announcement because this is one year ago today was Operation Midnight Hammer. As the Trump administration sends in the military, we destroy the entire nuclear program. And now to pick up the pieces of it, we've got the IAEA an announcement today. They'll begin going into the country and they're working on the mechanisms for that right now. In fact, Vice President Vance said that they were calling last night, as they were. These negotiations went all day long. There was all sorts of misreporting on the subject. Oh, it only happened for like 90 minutes. It was hours upon hours upon hours that these teams were meeting. And they tried to actually call some of the IAEA inspectors in the middle of the night last night. I think Vice President Vance said It was like 4am in the morning, wherever they are, and they didn't answer their phones yet. So maybe today they get them on the phone and we can start getting these guys into Iran and get a closer look, human eyes on what the hell's going on there in terms of their nuclear program. Having said that, I want to remind you about something. We have sterling intelligence on the state of their nuclear program. Anyway, the, the administration knows with 100% certainty, that's what a senior administration official told me, 100% certainty, where this nuclear material is all being kept. They say it's in three locations, that there was a fourth location. People often refer to it as pickaxe. That was. That was being built up, but it doesn't contain any nuclear material. And the administration has. That has utter confidence on that subject. So, again, we have their number. And the President of the United States said last week, we're watching every doorway. If some dude with the name tag that says Mohammed and he goes, that's about a 50, 50 chance. If Mohammed shows up at one of these doors, we could just kill him. So we know what's going on, so don't try and screw with us. And we're going to send IAEA inspectors in for a deeper look at the specifics at each of these sites. So, big announcements today from the Vice President of the United States. And it's funny because if you paid attention to the headlines over the weekend, as the media was going, was becoming completely hysterical about all of this, you had all this conversation about, oh, there's. There's an exchange of fire going on in Lebanon again. The Iranians claim that the strait of war moved booze is shut down. The Trump administration says it's not shut down. And it was just utter chaos. A lot of this is the product of the media being far too credulous about statements that come out of Iran's state media. The Iranian state media is nothing but just a constant stream of propaganda. And in the United States, of course, we have propagandists in our media as well, but they're not state propagandists. Or at least for now, as President Trump's in office, they're fighting back against President Trump in our agenda. Constantly. Which is why it's not a surprise that they're credulously repeating the talking points of Iran to make it seem like President Trump is playing with some sort of losing hand. The reality is that Iran is full of bluster. All they do is bluster. They constantly say that they've defeated us and they've beat us and they've pulled one over on us, and it's just nonsense. And it's funny because as you watch Vice President Vance's demeanor, he. He is totally unflappable on the subject. He's like, yeah, yeah, whatever, okay, but the point is, you're gonna do everything we want. That's the point. In fact, the Vice President did allude to the, quote, trash talk that the. The Iranians have been doing, and he just laughed it off. He says, we millennials call that trash talk.
Interviewer/Host
Listen to this.
Vice President of the United States
Cut to what we told the Iranians yesterday is when you guys engage in what us millennials might call trash talk. You can't expect the President of the United States not to respond and not to correct the record. So when they say things that aren't true, the president is going to respond to it. I'm going to respond to it. Americans are going to respond to it. When they make threats that aren't rooted in reality, they have to accept that the President of the United States is actually going to set the record straight. That's all that happened. So yes, there was a little bit of threatening, there was a little bit of whining. But at the end of the day, the talks continued and we made great progress.
Vince
A little threatening, a little whining, but no big deal. We kept the negotiations running. It is funny though, because the Iranians were accusing President Trump of violating the memorandum of understanding when of course it was the Iranians who were getting all blustery. We're shutting down the strait.
Dan Bongino
You guys are the worst.
Vince
We're going to end everything. And the president said, you shut that down, I'm going to kill you. How about that? Here's the president this week. And cut four an assessment of what the president told Fox's Trey Yings. Watch this.
JD Vance
Just spoke with President Trump for more than 20 minutes and he gave some new insight and reaction about the ongoing talks that are taking place in Sweden, Switzerland and the threats coming from the Iranian regime. President Trump telling Fox News that the US May take over the strait in the future if they have to and collect tolls. The president described this as the United States being the guardian angel of the Strait of Hormuz and the Middle East. And the president said ultimately that would involve the US taking 20% of the oil that passes through the strait. Remember, this comes in reaction to the Iranians saying they will close the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon. President Trump tells Fox News he spoke with Iranian officials overnight and said, you close it and you won't have a country. He went on to tell these officials, you won't even make it back to your effing country. Now, earlier today, Iran's President Massoud Possesskian said this about Iranian enrichment of uranium. The president also reacting to that, take a listen.
Vince
We will not give up our right to enrichment and they too will be forced to accept it. You all know what the so called President of the United States was saying. He had made a complete 100 degree turn. He was saying that Iran must surrender unconditionally. Iran has no right to do this. It has no right to do that.
JD Vance
President Trump, during our call, responded directly to those comments by Iranian President Masood. President Trump told Fox News he better watch his mouth. He better shape up or we'll take over the rest of the country. And so clearly the president reacting directly to these comments from Iran's President Masoud Possesskian and also President Trump talked about the broader memorandum of understanding indicating this is just a cease fire extension. This is not the final deal with the Iranian regime. And the president says he holds the cards and maintains a variety of options if the Iranians don't make the these serious commitments at the negotiating table. He said, I have a 60 day option and I can do whatever I want after that option. So again, President Trump, leaving a variety of considerations on the table and says that the United States could become the guardian angel of the Strait of Hormuz and collect tolls itself while taking oil around 20%, the president says as it relates to oil. President Trump also said that 19 million barrels of crude oil exited the Persian Gulf yesterday as a result of this memorandum of understanding with the Iranians.
Vince
I love everything about this. It just reminds me, you remember the Iranians like, we're shutting down the strait. He goes, you're shutting down the strait. How about this? How about I'm shutting down the strait, I'll shut down the strait. How do you like that? The Iranians like, well, I didn't expect you to. Yeah, no, I shut it down. Now nobody can get in or out of your ports. And that is actually what got Iran to the damn negotiating table in the first place because we were moving oil anyway and we were shutting down all of the movement to and from Iranian ports. Every time a ship tried to move either in or out, we just blew up its engine room. And Iran, well, they got the message. They got the message. And here the Iran's like, well, we're going to shut down the strait. And he's like, you know, you're not doing that. In fact, if you cause more trouble, I'm going to take over the whole damn strait and then we're just going to collect the 20% fee on all the oil that moves through it. How about that? So do you notice what's going on here? The President sends his trusted emissary to Switzerland, that's JD Vance, to handle this. JD Vance goes there and he's handling it. He's doing a great job with these marathon negotiations. Meanwhile, back here in the United States, as Iran is doing its nonstop public blustering, President Trump goes, how about this? You're not going to make it back to your effing country, if you dare. Close the straight. So how about don't do that. And tell you what, I'm even gonna take 20% of the oil that goes through it if I decide to start tolling it. So what we have right now is a unified strategy from the administration. But you got a good cop, bad cop routine going on. As the President is working every angle to try and turn this into a fruitful negotiation. It's fascinating to watch out of the deal stuff and really, really, really cool to see. Now, speaking of the art of the deal, the Vice President also made another major announcement this morning. You know, all these Iranian assets that the media is fear mongering over? Oh, they're going to unfreeze it. They're going to let them fund terror. First of all, at this point, if you think that the Trump administration is in the mood to allow the Iranians to fund terror, you're a moron. Let me be crystal clear about this, just in case anybody missed it. You're a moron if you think Donald Trump is trying to fund terrorism. Now, what are they actually trying to do? Well, J.D. vance said this morning, in order to prevent terrorism from taking place, if we at any point decide we actually are going to unfreeze Iranian funds, that money is going to be used. You ready to purchase American farm products? Listen to this.
Vice President of the United States
I've seen some misreporting about frozen or unfrozen Iranian assets. One of the other things that we wanted to do and, you know, wasn't as high of a priority for us for obvious reasons, we wanted to make sure that we set up a process where if, if we ever unfreeze Iranian assets, we can ensure that those, that, that money, that Iranian money goes to help the people of Iran and not to fund terrorism. So Jared Kushner actually came up with a, with a very interesting solution with the Qataris where basically, again, if there is any frozen Iranian assets that are unfrozen, then we have approval over that process. The Qataris have approval over that process. And then the money would actually go to buy American soy, American corn, and American wheat for the benefit of the Iranian people. And as much as I see some of the press misreporting on this, and of course, you know, buttressed by what the Iranians are saying, or not all Iranians, I want to be clear, there are a lot of Iranians who are telling the truth about what happened yesterday. But you see some social media reporting that gets this wrong. But fundamentally, what Jared and The Qataris and the entire team here in Bergenstock accomplished is to me, a classic Trump deal where if Iranian assets are ever unfrozen, they're going to go to make American farmers richer and to feed the Iranian people. That's a very, very good and very classic Trump deal. That's great for our people, great for the people of Iran.
Vince
I love this. I love it so much. Remember last week we were talking about. The President of the United States was asked a question about why didn't we just take the money? Why do we. Why are we unfreezing these assets? Why didn't we just seize all of that money and just use it in the United States of America? And the President said, because, you know, as he talked about this with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen, very much an idea that he would be intrigued by. He said, the fundamental thing is we're trying to protect the status of the dollar as the global reserve currency. And so money that we freeze or sanction, if we decide to just take it and then use it for ourselves, then without any sort of recourse to the country from which we took it, that could imperil the US Dollar as the global reserve currency, countries will, they will accelerate what we call de dollarization. He doesn't want to do that. Scott Besson doesn't want to do that. That's wise. But they came up with a very clever arrangement here, which is basically like, the money needs to go to the Iranian people. We're going to give you back the value that's frozen if you comply with our efforts to denuclearize your country. But the way we're going to give you that value back is in the form of food assistance purchased from American farmers. Soy, corn, wheat, and then all of that agricultural product goes to Iranian people who need it. It's a brilliant, A brilliant construction that JD Vance said they were able to secure in these negotiations over the last 24 hours. Fascinating. And my guess is that American farmers are going to take this as very, very welcome news. Also as a political point, you know, as they try and wind down the status of the war and turn this into some sort of peaceful period, if they can succeed here. And again, it's heavily conditioned on if they can succeed. I love the people who are like, like coming at me like, Vince, how could you believe that this deal is going to work? This is terrible. It's not a deal, it's a memorandum of understanding. They're literally negotiating a deal. Keep cool, my babies. They're working on it. The President of the United States is trying to get the best possible outcome for everybody. And the best possible outcome here would be peace in the Middle East. Lunatics stop attacking Israel. That Israel can get New Abraham accords with Arab allies in the region. They can work on secur security together. The United States can focus much more on its own domestic concerns. We can lower the cost of everything. We can get global energy production way up. We can sell more American farm goods. This guys. If President Trump can pull this off, it will be the ultimate deal ever achieved. It's an amazing. An amazing thing. And that's. And if he didn't believe that this was possible, he wouldn't be bothering. He does believe it's possible, which is why he's bothering. It's why they're doing it right now. Keep cool, my babies. Keep cool. Keep cool. Keep cool. Keep cool, my babies. It's. It's an amazing thing. It's an amazing thing. So that's, that's, that's really good. Is there anything else here, Josh, from J.D. vance's press conference? We have one more clip here. I think we do,
JD Vance
yeah.
Vince
Okay. This is JD Vance yesterday. This is JD Vance yesterday in Switzerland in the midst of these negotiations. And here's the. Here's some of the remarks he made to the media.
Interviewer/Host
Watch this.
Vice President of the United States
I think it's important for the American people, but people all over the world to appreciate that what's brought us to this moment is the President's leadership and the President's willingness to see a Middle east that is much different 10 years from now than it was 10 years ago. And what we're trying to accomplish here is something very simple. Through diplomacy, through working together to transform the Middle east, where Iran and the Gulf have been at war with each other or at least have had very unfriendly relations, where Iran has been a driver of regional instability, now we see a future where everybody can work together to promote peace and prosperity for everyone. What we have already seen back home in the United States is lower gas prices. We've seen the free flow of oil and gas. We've seen peace. And now we're trying to build on that, to see if we can build something even better and more sustainable for the future. This is a historic meeting. Never before outside of Islamabad and here, so outside the last few months, never before has the Iranian and American leadership met at such a high level. What the President has asked us to do is turn over a new leaf, to transform. Transform our relationship with the people of Iran and to extend an outstretched hand that says to the people of Iran that if your leadership is willing to give up being a driver of regional instability, if they are willing to give up nuclear weapons ambitions for the long term, then the United States is willing to fundamentally transform our relationship with that country. That is certainly our goal. We've already made great progress over just the last few hours, and I expect. I expect that we'll make additional progress in the hours to come. Thank you all.
Vince
It's a big thing. Kamala could never. Kamala doesn't even know where Iran is. Let's be honest. She's. She's just mindless. I mean, what a difference a vice president makes. In fact, I. There's a. Let me see if I have it. There was a crazy Kamala clip. Oh, yeah, this is. This is it. Josh. Did not know I was going to do this. But that's. That's the nature of the show. We change moment to moment. Here's Kamala on with Don Lamond just in the last few days. Look at the babbling nonsense. Imagine this woman trying to negotiate global peace.
Kamala Harris
I really, truly believe this. We each have light inside of us, and we need to know that that is what inspires our hope as much as anything external to ourselves. And when we feel that and not allow an election or an individual to dampen that light and instead let that light kind of carry us, in particular through moments of darkness, that we not only act on that hope, but we inspire that hope in each other. And in particular, at this moment, it is so important that we not only have hope, but that we understand that that should be a verb.
Mike Lee
I love.
Chris Christie
I love Don Lamont's.
Vince
Look at him, his face. He has no idea what she's even saying. You know, this is like, I envision him in that, like, scene from Airplane where she just won't shut up, and he just starts pouring gasoline all over himself so he can light himself on fire. It's. What a difference. The Iranians, dude. If Kamala was in a meeting with the Iranians, they would detonate their suicide vests right there. They'd be like, I can't take this anymore. You know, in a way, that might solve the problem, actually, maybe we should deploy Kamala. We'll think about it some more. Let the VP think about that.
Chris Christie
All right.
Vince

Yeah, I do wonder, what if we deployed Kamala Harris, you know, little Chinese water torture, you know, just send her into the room with the Iranians and just have her negotiate. It could be good. They'd be rushing to get to a deal with the president and the vice president, you know, you know, Operation Incomprehensible Fury. Keep thinking about it. Meanwhile, back home, Chris Christie is, well, he's a hardcore oversized Trump hater. The guy really hates Trump. What a dramatic fall this guy has had. Here's Chris Christie on ABC over the weekend, screwing up every last detail about President Trump's memorandum of understanding with Iran. Listen to this. Cut five. Here he is, and I'll tell you why he's wrong.
Chris Christie
Well, let's put all this in context, right? I give the President all the credit in the world for the June bombing of the nuclear sites, but now we get to February. He tells us this is about regime change, unconditional surrender, eliminate the nuclear threat and eliminate their missile capability. That's what he tells us. He then does five weeks of war, less than what the Pentagon wanted him to do. And then he stops and he stops and fills the air with a whole bunch of empty threats about when he's going to restart. Then he gets to the point where the Iranians have him in a corner because of the economic calamity that's caused by something that apparently his geniuses in his national security team didn't anticipate, that they would close the Strait of Hormuz. How they didn't anticipate that, John, I don't know. So now he has to make a deal because he feels the economy in the United States crumbling beneath him. And what's he do? He gives them the option of opening or closing the Strait of Hormuz based upon their interpretation of whether they have
Mike Lee
to work it out with Oman.
Chris Christie
Right. US And Israel are complying. US And Israel not a party to the agreement. He gives them a $300 billion bribe offer. He unfreezes all of their assets. He gives them their oil profits back, which is 35 to $50 billion a year on top of it. He doesn't prevent them from charging service fees to go through the straight, which JP Morgan says could be 60 to 90 billion dollars a year. And now, to end it up, to end where you started, he hands over the negotiations to a naive and inexperienced vice president and two other guys who would be better buying you an office building in Alexandria than negotiating this. And let me say this. He's gone from America first to Iran first.
Vince
So I would say almost every word you heard him utter there was a lie. Actually, too many to go through. But some of them come to mind immediately. One of them is like, well, the Pentagon wanted him to go longer than he did. I don't care what the Pentagon wants. He's the commander in Chief. What are you talking about? And when did the Secretary of War indicate that the President was wrong? Because I'm pretty sure he runs the Pentagon. When did Pete Hegseth chat? Did I miss that? Did Pete Hegseth come out and say, hey, the President really screwed this up? I didn't see that at all. All I saw was a crisp, crisp salute from the military carrying out the orders of the commander in chief. That's all I saw. So I don't know what Chris Christie is talking about. No, The Strait of Hormuz can't be shut off or on by.
Interviewer/Host
At.
Vince
By will by the Iranians. The President said, this weekend, if you shut it down, I'm going to kill you. You're not even going to make it back to your own country. How does that square with what you just heard come out of Chris Christie's mouth? It doesn't. In any way the Iranians were not given a $300 billion bribe. That's disinformation. I'm using Chris Christie as an oversized vehicle for the talking points that you're hearing from everywhere. Just the lies that are coming out. What was everyone lying about? Why do you have to lie all the time?
Interviewer/Host
I get it.
Vince
You hate Trump. You don't have to lie about the memorandum of understanding or what Trump is doing here or how he's operating. Stop lying all the time. They're not getting any money unless they comply. That's the way this works. And J.D. vance, I would say, is a superior negotiator to any of the other idiots who we could possibly put in front of the Iranians right now. He's a smart United States Marine, loves this country, serves the President with pride, and he is doing a great job on behalf of the American people. He's been an honest broker throughout all of this. And Chris Christie is just lying because he hates Trump. That's it. That's what it's all about. He just literally hates Trump. So he goes on TV to try and attack him and to suck up to the New York media, which he's always been obsessed with. It's really sad to see, but there it was. And again, Chris Christie is a perfect template for the way the rest of the media are treating President Trump right now as he tries to handle this. They're crapping all over his efforts to try and achieve peace. Meanwhile, the American people love it. The American people, all the surveys, all the polls show are with President Trump on trying to achieve peace in the Middle east right now. That's what they want. They want lower gas prices, they want global peace. They want the president to succeed. So I'm siding with the American people here, and I side with the President of the United States, not the incomprehensible lies that are coming out, including for people like Chris Christie. Meanwhile, the President's got all sorts of problems he's trying to handle in the United States Senate, and that includes trying to get the Save America act passed. And it also includes this drama around his Director of National Intelligence. Tulsi Gabbard just left. Bill Pulte is now the acting Director of National Intelligence. He's in there with a very clear message mission, rather, which is election integrity and firing deep state actors. He's already underway doing all of this. I've got updates on that and the panic that that's causing inside of the United States Senate right now. We'll get to it in just a moment. I want to give you two more sponsors and we'll back into it all ahead on this edition of Vince. These two sponsors do help make the show free each day, and I want to thank Ethos for helping us do that. And they are, they're just a great, great service. All right. Bill Pulte is causing all sorts of headaches over at the Director of National Intelligence gig, which is just wonderful stuff. Bill Palti just arrived this weekend and actually was Friday. On Thursday, he showed up early and he started. He asked for lists of people to fire, which is. Which is great. And then over the weekend, he posted this image. It's a little emoji, you know, an American flag emoji. And right beneath it, there's the President of the United States in black and white, fists down, right there on the Resolute desk, leaning forward, as if he's going to dominate on behalf of the United States of America. It's a great image. Bill Palti sharing this this weekend, basically. Lfg, it's time to work. It's time to work, which is wonderful. And I love that Bill Palt, he's there. In fact, every time I hear these establishment people freak out even more about him, it only. It's like a. It's like an inverse endorsement. You know what I mean? When Mark Warner is angry that Bill Pulte has this job, it's a good thing for the United States of America. Look at Mark Warner, Democrat, freaking out about Bill doing this work for the American people.
Interviewer/Host
And I think that the President has just decided to blow that off. Ignore that. And, you know, the trouble will be, we won't know in the short term the damage. What we will know is that national security leaders that are Trump appointed are nervous about Palti coming in. We do know that America's allies, allies who already were concerned that they might have leaks if they shared with this administration. I fear more of them will start to hold back intelligence, and that makes America weaker.
Vince
Now, that last part is a dangerous thing. That's a dangerous game that Mark Warner is playing. But let me address the first part. He says there are national security leaders who are Trump appointed who are nervous about Bill Palti coming in. If that's the case, let's fire them. Let's fire them. And in fact, if you're a national security leader who's currently working for the President of the United States, and you would like to voice your discontent with his latest action of appointing Bill Paltry to be the Director of National Intelligence, please speak up now so we can remove you to be like, are you serious right now? National security leaders? As if that expression in any way bears any weight for normal people. Didn't we have like 51 national security leaders sign a letter claiming that Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation. We're done with national security leaders trying to browbeat the rest of us into giving up our sovereignty and our civil liberties and our constitutional rights. We're done with that crap. So spare us Mark Warner. But that last point is a little dangerous. More than a little. That's Mark Warner telling our allies around the planet not to share intelligence with the United States during this period. He says, you know what? These foreign countries are going to second guess giving us intelligence now, because they're not going to be certain that Bill Pulte is not going to leak it, that their secrets are going to be all over the place, their dirty laundry is going to be everywhere with Bill Pulty as the acting Director of National Intelligence. Now, Mark Warner has no basis to say that other than his utter loathing for Bill Pulte. That's it. He has no basis to say that whatsoever. And yet he said it anyway. What does that do? Well, it sends a message to foreign allies that maybe they should withhold intelligence. So if anybody is imperiling us here in terms of our national security, it's Mark freaking Warner. It's not Bill Pulte. The guy who President Trump trusts, and by extension, the American people trust to handle this business of our intelligence community. This is one of those moments where you know that there's so much more going on than meets the eye directly. There's so much more going on. There's a reason Mark Warner is spazzing out about Bill Pulty, and it has nothing to do with safeguarding America's intelligence, and it has everything to do with safeguarding the corruption that's within our government. This is making me. I don't even know Bill personally. Every time I hear this crap, it makes me like him even more. Okay, good. In fact, we should keep him there as long as possible under the statute. President Trump is trying to do that right now. He. He put Jay Clayton forward as a nominee in the United States Senate to take the job, and then the Senate tried sprinting it through just to stop Bill Pulte from having the gig, which made the President go, wait, what the hell's going on here? Forget it. I'm not nominating him right now. I'm withdrawing the nomination for now. That's what the President did. And you have establishment figures who are still pushing him. No, no, no. Get him through. Get him through. We can't have Bill Pulte. Here's Lindsey Graham. Doing this this weekend. Cut 7. Watch Lindsey Graham. Establishment Republican.
Meta AI
President Trump appeared to sabotage his own nominee, Jay Clayton, who was going to be the nominee, with a confirmation hearing last week to run the Director of National Intelligence. He told him not to show up at his hearing. So that let Bill Pulte, this controversial head of the Federal Housing Agency, who has no prior intelligence background or security clearance, in charge. Are you comfortable with giving Pulte the keys to the 18 agencies?
Lindsey Graham
I think what we had in place should happen. I think Clayton should be the new dni. President Trump was told that Democrats were not going to support FISA reauthorization and he got mad and pulled out of the agreement. They will. Mark Warner told me that there are enough votes to get FISA reauthorized and I would urge President Trump to let Clayton testify. And if we nominate Clayton and get him affirmed as the new dni, we don't want FISA to go dark. There's too many threats to our country for 702 to go down. Anybody who owns the shutting down of 702 under FISA will own a future attack against the United States. We're playing with fire here.
Meta AI
You said you spent time with President Trump this past week. Did he say to you that he will do what you just laid out?
Lindsey Graham
I'll let him speak for himself. But I told him that any Democrat that shuts down FISA at a time of great peril, the United States is making a huge mistake. The same would be true of the Trump administration. We need FISA up and running. So here's what I hope will happen. That Clayton will appear before the committee, we'll get him confirmed, and we'll get FISA reauthorized as the original plan was. I think the Democratic votes are there. We're playing with fire here. No matter what side does it, America needs FISA up and running.
Vince
What is that Lindsey Graham's like? We have to suck up the Democrats in order to get what we want. What are you talking about? You understand what's happening here that they want? They're holding FISA reauthorization hostage until Trump gets rid of Bill Pulte. You see that? And FISA reauthorization is the spying powers of the United States intel community. That's what he's talking about. Now, FISA has problems of its own because it's been routinely abused to spy on American citizens, including President Trump and the people around him. That desperately needs to be fixed. And Congress has kicked the can on that thing 6,000 times. And they're trying to do it again right now. The President's conditions for FISA reauthorization is you have to include the Save America Act. You have to include it in order to reauthorize FISA. That's what he wants. But Lindsey Graham is saying, Mr. President, let Jay Clayton through, and then Democrats will give us FISA reauthorization.
Dan Bongino
And.
Vince
And if we don't get FIS reauthorization, there's going to be a terror attack and you're going to be to blame. Okay, settle down, son. Settle the hell down.
Dan Bongino
I don't.
Vince
I don't like this. I don't like this one bit. This whole thing stinks to high heaven. There is a sinister reason Washington is trying to stop Bill Pulte from having this job for any kind of term. Let's be honest about what's happening. You and I may not know every last detail about why they're freaking out, but you do know it has absolutely nothing to do with safeguarding America's national security. Nothing and everything to do with the mission he is tasked with, which is to get rid of the deep state and to be honest about the state of America's elections. Which is why, again, I hope he stays in that job for as long as possible and gets a lot done over the course of that time period. Now, here's the President last week talking about all of this, saying he wants fisa, he wants Save America done together, and that he's going to be keeping Bill Pulty around for a while. Take a look. How do you expect Bill Pulte to be acting?
Dan Bongino
DNA? Well, as long as it takes to get everybody else approved. I mean, they were doing a rush act and we didn't get anything for it. Look, he's a very legitimate guy. He's very smart. He's a brilliant guy. Look at the job he did at Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac. I mean, it's worth probably a trillion dollars right now. So we put him there, but all of a sudden it was like a rush act by the Democrats. And they said they were going to approve fisa. And I said, but we want FISA approved. But we want the Save America act approved. Voter id, proof of citizenship, no mail in ballots with exceptions like for the military. Sick. You're sick. You're traveling. Disabled. Very, you know, open and generous. We also want no men playing in women's sports. So we want no transgender mutilization of our children.
Mike Lee
None.
Dan Bongino
Those are five things that are 99%. I mean, that's all we want. It's not a lot. The Save America act. And that can be passed any way they want to pass it, but I'm not going to sign FISA unless it's done. And this was like a rush act, and it was a rush act by the Democrats. All of a sudden, they want to get. And why are they afraid of this guy? I mean, they're so afraid of him, they'll do anything not to have Pulte go in there. He's a very capable guy. Guy. And they're worried about that.
Vince
You know, there is, there's something that I'm just thinking of, too. I'm reminded of the fact that James Comey and John Brennan, in the course of their fury with the Trump administration for trying to hold them accountable for, for, for their credible criminal activity, credibly accused criminal activity. Both Comey and Brennan have said, hey, look, there are still people on the inside who don't like Trump, who, I'm telling, we're telling to wait out. You know, just, just hold on. Help is coming. In other words, like Bill Pulte has a big job to do. There's lots to clean up. And Mary Margaret Olahan recently, our friend Mary Margaret in May asked the President about this, about this suggestion that Justice Department employees and various others in the intel community should hang on and wait out President Trump's administration. And the President said, well, if they're there, we're going to find them and we're going to get rid of them. In every agency, you have scum. Here's the President.
Meta AI
Listen, over the weekend, Mr. President, he suggested that there's still people in your DOJ and FBI that are waiting you out. They're waiting until your administration is over to get back to work. Do you think those people are still in the DOJ and FBI?
Dan Bongino
I hope not. Well, we're going to seek them out. We'll seek them out. We'll get rid of them. Okay? Because you have, in every agency, you have scum. And certainly they did in the FBI and doj. But Todd Blanche is doing a fantastic job. Cash is doing a very good job. So we'll, we will prevail. I've been standing here a long time with you, many years, Right. And they've been saying, I think it's it. I think he's trouble here. I am. You know, it's a very constant situation. But I think you're going to find that we have great people in the FBI and we have great people in doj. Todd Blanche has really been doing it
Vince
all right, so that's the commentary on DOJ broadly. But this gets back to the mission that the President has, of course, been on so aggressively, which is like, hey, we got to root out the deep state. You got to root out this subversion. It is completely unconstitutional to try and subvert the will of the American people and upend the presidency just because you disagree with the guy on policy or because somehow your nest egg is being imperiled because of the corrupt arrangement you've built within our government. Nope, nope. We're getting you the hell out of the government. And if you have violated the law, we should prosecute you, too. Bill Pulte's got a big job, and. And I'm glad to. I'm glad to see that the President is staying in this fight. We'll see what happens next. You know, Lindsey Graham, of course, is. Is trying to bend his ear. Please put Jay Clayton in. Please put Jay Clayton in. How about no? How about no? How about we keep Bill there so long that we see Lindsey Graham just keep sweating on Sunday shows about the fact that he's doing that job? I'd be. I'd be very happy with that. Yeah. But the, The Save America act, you know, that. That fight continues to try and get this thing done. And I, you know, Mike Lee, last week, the Senator was. Was served up a big struggle session by the establishment Republicans during a Senate luncheon. I told you about that right after it happened. Like, stop talking about this. Stop talking about this. You're. You're misleading the American people. It's not possible. It is possible. And once again this weekend, Mike Lee, undeterred, was on television pushing the Save America act again. And he said it is very possible through two routes. Either nuke the filibuster or barrel through it. Watch Mike Lee cutting on.
Mike Lee
He's right that the expanded version of it has never gotten to 50 votes. But it's important, Shannon, to remember that the original Save America act, the one that was passed by the House of Representatives, does have simple majority support in the Senate now. Well, that's true. We're 10 votes shy of cloture, of forcing debate to a close. That doesn't mean that we couldn't pass it. There are a couple ways to get there. One would be nuking the filibuster. As you pointed out, that appears not likely to happen. But the other way is to exhaust the other side, to continue to debate the bill until it passes. This was a common procedure in the Senate for most of its existence. It needs to be Used from time to time in situations like this one. Look, the American people overwhelmingly support this. Republicans, Democrats alike. We're talking about three out of four Americans, regardless of political party, want to make it easy to vote, hard to cheat. That's what the House Pass Save America act does. And the Senate needs to be willing to do the hard work to make sure that that happens. If we put it on the floor tomorrow and we announce that we're going to debate it until it passes, I'm confident that we can get there.
Vince
God bless Mike Lee. God bless him. Because what he's doing is maintaining that public pressure that has annoyed the hell out of these establishment Republicans. They hate this. The Cornyns of the world and the Thumbelinas and Mitch McConnell. Where's Mitch the glitch at these days? Is he even working in the Senate? These guys hate that this pressure is continuing. Keep it up, please. It can't just be Mike Lee.
Interviewer/Host
It can't.
Vince
It has to be all of us. We have to maintain this pressure on the Senate. You know, it's funny, too. It's like they. They accuse. The irony of all of this is like the establishment Republicans who refuse to do this, they're accusing the rest of us of being bought and paid for, that this is somehow some sort of astroturf campaign. That is just the. That's just, you know, these. These dastardly conservative commentators who are calling for the Save America Act.
Kamala Harris
It's.
Vince
Look, the reason this issue so resonant, the. One of the, you know, one of the reasons we talk about it so frequently, this audience is obsessed with it. I didn't invent that obsession. You have this obsession. And so do I. And so do I. So we talk about it a lot because we want it to be done. And it is achievable. Now, if this was not achievable, if this was something this is like. Like it's just impossible to do, then a lot of this would just be wasted breath. It's not impossible. It's entirely achievable. For all the reasons Mike Lee just laid out. The Senate for years has coasted on this notion, is that, well, we don't have 60 votes to end debate, so therefore the legislation shouldn't move forward. There's another way to end debate. Have the freaking debate. That's how you end debate. You allow the debate to actually be conducted. And at the end of it, when the debate is exhausted, you get to vote on the legislation. The Senate almost never does it because they're too lazy. That's the truth. But they should do it. Have the debate. We don't have enough votes to end it. How about you start it? Let's begin with that before we get to how do we end it? Let's start it. The Save America act is very simple. Only American citizens should be voting. That's a. It's just, that's the whole summary. I don't know if I can make it more simple than that. Only American citizens should be voting.

Are you one of those media strategy people clicking through slides, scrolling spreadsheets? Yes. Good. This is for you. Because on Spotify, there's an audience that's different, locked in, loyal, invested. They're called fans. Fans don't just listen to music. They feel seen by it like it belongs to them. So when your brand shows up on Spotify, that's who you're talking to. And you're right next to artists like me, Lizzo. So are you ready to talk to fans? Spotify advertising, you're among fans.
Vince
Last week, Chuck Schumer said 25 million people would be removed from the voting rolls across the country if it passes. I hope so. I really hope so. 25 million. 25 million people who should not be on the voting rolls are currently on the voting rolls. That's quite an admission by Chuck Schumer. Now, of course, he's using it to scaremonger to suggest that somehow voters, legitimate voters, are going to have their ability to cast their ballots imperiled. That's not the case at all. The only people get removed from ballots are non citizens, illegals, people who shouldn't be on the ballots, not to mention a lot of dead people. And I don't think they're going to have a problem with being removed from the ballot. They're dead. Remove the 25 million people or whatever the number is. It's probably higher than that. Chuck Schumer trying to scaremonger about it. He didn't say 25 million Americans, he just said 25 million people. The voting franchise is for Americans and we should be working very hard to protect it. This the so Mike Lee, thank you again. Glad Mike Lee is staying in the fight as always. Really appreciate, really, really appreciate him for doing that. By the way, happy Father's Day to all the dads. I hope you had a wonderful Father's Day. I did. It was, I was well taken care of. It was, it was really, really just really splendid Father's Day here in the Colonnades household. We had a. We had a really good one and normal people. I Think enjoyed Father's Day. The New York Times is not normal. Did you see that? The New York Times marked Father's Day this weekend. They did it by saying that women can be mentioned. Have you seen this? It's a. It was a whole comic strip that they released because they're a joke. And it was headlined, to my daughter, my gender was never complicated. And it's a series of comic panels about a woman who is pretending to be a man. And there's one here. How did you grow a mustache if you were a lady? Says the daughter in the comic cartoon. And then there's one here where he's talking about. Oh, my God. Where she's talking about how she got rid of her breasts to become a man. Oh, here it is. How long did you have your breasts for, dad? This. This is how the New York Times marks freaking Father's Day by saying women should lop off their breasts to pretend to be men. I happen to think women shouldn't lop off their breasts, that they were made in the image and likeness of God, and that you shouldn't be told that your body is a mistake, that there's something very sad and abusive about that. And here they have this. Basically, here's the push. Not only does the cartoon depict some woman who's been mutilated now, but it goes on to say that this is good to propagandize children with on Father's Day. Now, what is this? If you had to figure out, what is this line of attack about, why would the New York Times even engage in something like this? Well, here's a starter. Here's a good assessment. This comes to us from Brandon Gill, the remarkable congressman from Texas, and he says the following. On Father's Day, the New York Times decided to promote a cartoon of a woman cosplaying as a father. Cosplaying, meaning wearing the costume of. And, boy, she really went the distance, didn't she? And they did it for a reason. Because the cultural left knows that the first step to conquering the future is brainwashing the minds of our children. And they've realized that strong fathers are the biggest obstacle to that goal. They want to tear the institution of fatherhood down to nothing. Because to the left, things that are normal, good, and holy are a threat to their Marxist revolution. As usual, Brandon Gill is right about this. The home is the smallest form and the most important form of governance that we have. It is oftentimes when we talk about government, we talk about it at the local, state, and national levels. But there's an even smaller unit of government. But it is the single most important. It's the family unit. That governance sets the course of your entire life, doesn't it? The rules, the customs, the respect that you learned, the environment in which you raised sets the course for the rest of your life. It really does. It dictates what kind of citizen you're going to be. To what extent do you think helping others is an important thing for you to do? Do you live a life of virtue? And in order to get that foundation, you should. At its best, the way it works is if you have a mother and a father inside of that household, that is the highest likeliness, that you will both have the right structure and the right chance of success at life. It's true, definitely. Culturally, spiritually, it's also true economically. The studies on this are really clear. A father and a mother being inside the house increase your chance of economic success by a huge percentage. If you lack that, if you're raised in a single parent environment, typically single mother in most cases. If you're raised in a single parent environment, the studies on this subject show pretty clearly your chances of making it to a higher economic quintile are very low. Very low. It's just now, are there people who break the rules? Definitely. But the averages are very clear, which is why two parent households are a huge deal. And strong fathers, strong spiritual leaders inside of their home, people who can form a great foundation for their children are absolutely essential for creating healthy, well adjusted and ready to succeed kids. The father really matters big time. Big time. In fact, a return to fatherhood. If the country further embraced fatherhood, if our families had more fathers in the home, it would be an instant improvement on the quality of our country. Socially, culturally, spiritually, economically, in terms of our safety, crime would go down. The father is the missing ingredient in so many chaotic households across the country. So rather than diminishing the value of fatherhood or pretending like it's not a real category to begin with, oh, women can be fathers. No, we should be fighting to restore the prominence and value of fatherhood at every turn and fighting back against this kind of garbage being published in the most prominent newspaper in America. What a joke. And as a country, we should call it out together. Thank you to Brandon Gill for doing it and God bless all the fathers out there. Thanks for raising your kids right. Those of you who are doing it. We're always working harder to do that. I'm always working to do that a little bit better. Raise your kids right. We need good fathers. As always. God bless you.
