Yeah. The President of the United States did make his way over to the Senate and well, it got interesting really, really quickly yesterday. In fact, the reports came out that there was a shouting match in particular between bitter Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, the recently fired Republican senator, and the President of the United States. And what were they shouting over? Well, it turns out it was Iran. The President of the United States has been trying to negotiate a peace here. And he says the problem that he's run into is that these Republican senators keep trying to work against him. They were passing resolutions this week declaring him to be doing something that he shouldn't be allowed to do. You can't do this. And the President says the Iranians have been reaching out. Like, what is this? What are the, what's the Senate up to? What does this mean? Does it mean the deal is off? How does this work exactly? And the President said, this has been a complete disaster by these guys. They've listened to the press. Here's cut to the President yesterday describing what Republican senators have done to him.
Donald Trump
Wash right in the middle of one of the key things which we're going to get anyway, we got, we have breaking news. The Senate has voted that they'd like Trump to stop the war. So Iran sees that and they go, what's that all about? Now, you know, it's meaningless, right? But I had lunch with them. We had four Republican senators and all Democrats. You know, Democrats, they want to lose the war because they're stupid. That's why we call them Democrats. You know, I no longer use the E I use, I've changed the E into a U. We call them Democrats. They're dumb. Their policy is so bad. That's why they have to, they are opposed to the Save America act because they don't want voter id, they don't want proof of citizenship. You know why? Because they have to cheat. Their policy is so bad that if they don't cheat, they wouldn't win an election. They're phenomenal cheaters and they stick together. But you know, the people, the Democrat People are 87% in favor of the Save America.
Vince
You see the weave, a little bit of the Save America act baked in there. But at the top, he's talking about how these Republican senators are trying to throw a wrench into his process here of just like, like getting a peace deal. Come on now, knock it off. So the, the, the reporting was that at one point, Bill Cassidy started Calling President Trump brother and interrupting the President of the United States as he's trying to talk. He stopped calling him Mr. President. It all became all very disrespectful, apparently behind closed doors. And after the meeting, reporters were chasing Bill Cassidy down and asked him what happened, what happened in there? And Bill Cassidy started whining because I'm not going to be bullied. Here he is. Watch.
Bill Cassidy
The President was wondering why people would vote for the War Powers Act. I asked him if that would be a rhetorical question. Real question. He said, real. And so as we begin to spe. The President didn't want to hear my question, interrupted me. I didn't care to be interrupted. I felt like I was trying to get answers for the American people, and I'm not going to be bullied when I'm trying to get answers for the American people. And so it escalated from there. At some point, it de. Escalated.
Vince
We're told the President called you a lunatic.
Bill Cassidy
Can I imagine that? The President called me things that would be set on a school, on a playground. Yeah, I can imagine that.
Vince
Does it bother you that he went after Leader McConnell?
Treasury Secretary
He wasn't here to defend himself.
Bill Cassidy
If there's somebody I know who's got thick skin, it's leader.
Vince
And I mean, do you believe in this? He's not the leader. Conducting himself in a meeting with colleagues,
Bill Cassidy
I'll let the President's actions speak for themselves.
Vince
Did you refer to him?
Interviewer
We're hearing reports that you refer to him as brother at one point, and
Vince
there was that sort of contentious.
Bill Cassidy
I don't think that's really important to the story.
Vince
It's not important that I was disrespectful to the President. I mean, I'm sure I know the answer to this. But you don't regret at all. You vote for the War Powers Resolution.
Bill Cassidy
As I said, and I've said before that once I start getting answers, I can change my vote. But I feel like there's answers that need to be given and they've not been given. And that's important to the Senate,
Tommy Tuberville
and
Bill Cassidy
it's important to the Senate. It's important to the American people. All right, guys.
Vince
All right. So he's very petulant, very whiny, very disruptive. Of course, there's a reason we call him Bitter Bill Cassidy. The guy's upset that the voters in Louisiana just fired his ass, and they did that because he wasn't fulfilling the agenda that they sent him to Washington to fulfill in the first place. So they're looking for, for something new. And President Trump, you know, he endorsed against Bill Cassidy and Cassidy has been very bitter about that ever since. So of course he's voting in every way to try and hamstring the President's agenda. That's been the pattern here. Oh, I need, you need, I need more information before I can support the President's agenda. How about they just voted you out of office. How much more information do you possibly need? The voters said that you're not doing the job the right way. That's the information you should pay attention to. That was Bill Cassidy yesterday. And I'll get to kind of where that story went in a moment because it was actually very interesting. The President scored some, some interesting victories yesterday on all of this because actually, we'll talk about it right now. Basically what happened was Bill Cassidy was of course voting to try and disrupt the President's Iran plans. And so was people, so were people like Rand Paul. This all changed yesterday. JD Vance apparently hosted a bunch of Republican senators for dinner yesterday to try and walk them through in, in more detail what's going on as they try and negotiate a deal with the Iranians. And that had some big effect apparently on a bunch of these senators. And President Trump himself was working the phones yesterday, talking to these guys. They invited Bill Cassidy over to the White House. They gave him a briefing at the White House on everything. So clearly they're pulling out all the stops to get these guys to settle the hell down. You know, they had to spoon feed him a bit, but it worked. And here's David Sivak writing about this. He is with the Washington examiner these days. He said some de escalation of tensions tonight. Republican senators spoke with Trump over the phone. After beating back a fresh Iran war powers vote. John Barrasso whipped both Bill Cassidy and Rand Paul to change their yes votes. Cassidy also was swayed by a White House briefing on the Iran conflict. In addition to Barrasso, soon, Graham and Moreno were also on the call with Trump. Hey, pay attention to that. John Barrasso is actually whipping things. It can be done. Remember we were talking about John Barrasso yesterday, the majority Whip in the Senate. He's supposed to be in a, in a world where he's like heeding the Trump agenda, he'd be whipping both the Save America act and the means to actually pass it. And here's Barrasso finally doing some whipping. He got Bill Cassidy and Rand Paul to change their yes votes yesterday. So now the Republicans in the Senate are officially on President Trump's side on the record when it comes to letting him have the space to negotiate all of this. Rand Paul said yesterday, last night that he flipped his vote and he said he's doing it because he wants to give the President the space to navigate towards peace. He said, my opinion on the debate over war and executive power hasn't changed and I voted that way several times. But since hostilities seem to be over and the President asked me to give consideration to his negotiating position, I will do so. My vote of present, that's what his vote is now, is a way to give the President more space and leverage to negotiate a lasting peace. Okay, good. We'll take it. This stupidity should have never taken place in the first place. This vote should have never been put forward. And yet it was. Bill Cassidy flipped his vote. He announced that last night and they said. Manaraju here with the summary. After sparring intense confrontation with Trump over Iran today, Bill Cassidy got a briefing at the White House and then he flipped his vote. So President Trump gets results here. President Trump goes in, he grabs these guys by the shirt collar, shakes them awake, and then Bill Cassidy finally comes around, comes to his senses and votes on behalf of the President's agenda here. It took a lot, but we got there. The President's very grateful. By the way, he posted to Truth Social about all this. He said, wow, the Senate just changed its vote on Iran from 50 to 48 against to 50 to 47 for Rand Paul and Bill Cassidy changing. Thank you to Leader John Thune, Lindsey Graham, Bernie Moreno and all. This vote puts Iran on notice, President djt. So it shouldn't have had to take that. It shouldn't have had to take the President of the United States, the Vice President of the United States, Steve Wykoff. They all of their valuable time consumed by trying to spoon feed Bill Cassidy to get him to change his vote and Rand Paul to get him to go to a present vote. It's too much. It's like, why are we dealing with these babies? Why can't we just have a functioning Senate that's carrying out the Trump agenda? Now back to that lunch, that lunch between these senators and President Trump. We've got more here in terms of what actually happened behind closed doors. Back to David Sievak at the examiner. He has some good posts on this. Yesterday he said a ton of newsy details. First off, Trump dominated the meeting. Not surprised by that at all. I'm told Republican senators were barely able to get a word in edgewise. Thune didn't speak.
Tommy Tuberville
Yeah.
Vince
What did I tell you was gonna happen. John Thune would disappear into the background. The guy was hovering by the punch bowl, probably standing by the exit, hoping to slip out at the first opportunity. He didn't participate. Yesterday there was the fight with Cassidy, with one source telling David that the two men yelled at each other to sit down. Trump also fumed over his two impeachments, and much of the meeting was an airing of grievances. Yeah, some of these idiots were involved in pushing on the impeachment conviction, and the president wasn't happy with that. Trump brought up the Republicans who voted to convict him. Of course, his perfect call with Vladimir zelensky and the 87 indictments against him. The SAVE act did come up, David says, but he writes that it was only at the beginning when Rick Scott opened the meeting and at the end when Trump delivered a parting message on the Save America Act. Trump warned that voters wouldn't show up if the bill doesn't pass. The president's right about this. This is one of those things that you and I have talked about quite a bit. And by the way, since we're on the Save America act, of course we should gavel in. The Save America act is not only important, it's most important to establish that we have credible elections in the United States of America and to prevent fraudsters from even attempting to interfere in them. That's the most important reason. But the second order effect, and a very important one, is the extent to which that the base, the Trump base, has enthusiasm to send back up to Washington to support him. Because while you and I are very locked in on politics, obviously you're watching a show where we talk about these big political questions every day. You and I are the kinds of people who are going to go on a routine basis to vote in our local and state and federal elections. You and I are the kinds of people who are going to be trying to browbeat all of our neighbors and actually showing up to vote. And. But we can work our asses off, and it's not going to make the difference necessary to win these elections if these Republicans don't have enough good. A good enough case to vote for. Like, there are going to be voters out there, people who aren't watching this program, people who decide, you know what? I'm just going to sit out the election because these guys aren't even passing the bare minimum for me. Why am I going to participate at all? There are going to be people who sit it out now. They shouldn't, even with the crappy leadership in the United States Senate, we should stop the left at every turn on every battlefield. But the reality is very practical here. From 30,000ft. The President's right. You don't pass the Save America act, you are going to depress some percentage of the voter turnout, and that is going to hurt us in the midterms, you morons. Why do I have to explain this to you? Why does the President of the United States have to go into that lunchroom and explain this to them? He shouldn't have to. Now, the president was gracious as he walked out of the meeting. He summarized the meeting for the press. After all the shouting, after apparently calling Bill Cassidy a lunatic, after Bill Cassidy was yelling, brother, as these guys were telling each other to sit down, as John Thune was disappearing into the background, hoping he could fade into the wallpaper, President Trump steps out and he says, it was a great meeting. Cut three. Watch this.
Dan Bongino
I think we had a really great meeting and we're very proud of the party. We like our leader. We like everybody, really, in the room. I don't like a few people, but that's okay. I think you know who they are. But we. I'll give you. I'll give you that information someday. But for the most part, we have a really, well, unified party. And I said it very strongly. We have the hottest country anywhere in the world. We're the most powerful, we're the smartest, we're the most respected. Two years ago, we were a laughingstock all over the world. We had a terrible group of people representing us. Every leader. I just left G7. Every leader. And we had a lot of people in addition to G7 is in. OK. Everyone said what we've done in a year and a half is a miracle. We have the hottest country in the world and we want to keep it that way. We have more factories being built right now than we have at any point at any time in the history of our country. And all of those factories are opening up soon. It's all jobs. And our job numbers are incredible. Anyway, I see that oil just broke the $70 number. Who would have thought that was going to happen? And that's during a war. And Iran is being very nice. They're agreeing to everything that I want and they have to. Otherwise, we just go back and do what we have to do. Thank you very much.
Vince
Now, I don't know about you, A lot of people are reading John Thune's body language in that video clip. And for those of you listening on the audio podcast, it's Interesting because Thune is. It looks like he's just trying to keep his face like stone. Like he doesn't even want to be there, but he's got to be there. It's kind of a weird. His posture is just super weird. You feel like that chat. There's a weird look to his presentation and so people understand who's standing next to the President. There's four senators standing next to him to his right shoulder. He's got Mike Lee and Rick Scott. These. These two are great because Mike Lee is pushing the Save America Act. He authored the Save America act, puts it in the. Puts it up in the Senate and fights like crazy for it. He's still fighting for it as we speak. You got Rick Scott standing there. Rick Scott's great. Rick Scott was the guy who invited President Trump to this meeting without John Thune's knowledge and just told him after. He's like, hey, by the way, the President's showing up at our meeting. John Thune's like, what, you serious? Yeah, he's gonna be showing up. He's got something to say. All right, that's great. And then to the president's left, you've got the majority whip, John Barrasso, and you've got John Thune and Barrasso, you know, finally came through yesterday, as I just told you, for these war powers votes. But where is he on passing the Save America Act? Like, what effort has this guy demonstrated whatsoever? So it's kind of an interesting split. You've got the people who are definitely much more in line with Trump voters to his right and then to his left, perhaps poetically, inappropriately.
Tommy Tuberville
So.
Vince
You've got the establishment, which isn't fighting that hard for you and has to be drag kicking and screaming into doing it. Interesting. Very interesting. Now, Tommy Tuberville is a great Republican senator. He's. He's headed out because he'll be the next governor of Alabama, which will be cool. But Tommy Tuberville revealed, went on television yesterday and revealed what happened inside of this meeting. And he said, yes, we did talk quite a bit about the Save America Act.
Tommy Tuberville
Cut four, Watch this Save America act is the number one thing the people want. They want fair elections. We just saw the nonsense in California, and we're seeing the nonsense of the. Of these communists taking over our country. And they're not socialists. They are communists. And so President Trump was exactly right. I'm proud of what he did today. He spoke up, he called people out. They had a very good conversation back and forth, but people need to be called out if you're not going to vote for this country. My God, folks, we are in trouble, and President Trump needs help, and we're not giving him 100% help that he needs.
Interviewer
So you said, you talked about the number of ways that you could pass the SAVE Act. Can you elaborate on that? Is there any movement that would sort of take some pieces out of it that might get the thrust of voter ID across the finish line? Senator?
Tommy Tuberville
Yeah, that's a, that's a. That's a no go. He's not going to take anything out of the Save America Act. What's in there needs to stay. We just talked about the avenues of the talking filibuster or voting. Voting out the regular filibuster and, and voting it in, because this is. And President Trump's right here. You know, again, I travel the country, if, if we don't do something with the filibuster and we don't get things passed, it'll be the last time we'll have a Republican president or Republican Senate or a House. That's how fast this country is going down to communism. And we need to stop it. We can stop it. It's balls in our court. President Trump said that. Balls in your court. You know, I'm here to support you. Let me know if there's anything I can do. But this is what we have to do to save the United States of America from communism. He's exactly right.
Vince
So we have a communist insurrection going on in the country right now, and it's consuming even the party that birthed it here in the United States. The Democrats don't know what to do with all these commies who are coming up through their ranks. And in fact, I'm seeing all the political press this week. They're like, oh, the establishment Democrats don't know what to do about their communist problem. You created this, you morons. You created this monster, and now it's consuming you. And we're not going to let it consume us. We're not. And you watched in New York as you get three commies who win, all with, you know, Zoran Mamdani's blessing, his endorsement. Oh, now you're my people. And now they're destined for Congress. They want a Democrat primary, which is in New York. That's as good as winning the general election, because they're off in November. It's going to be by the time January comes around. We got a couple of Communists showing up more, showing up to the, to the Congress. Crazy. So what Are they creating this world that they're creating? They want to create a communist hellhole in the United States that's unaccountable to the voters. Look at the messed up combination we're talking about. They want the commies to have power over you and they don't want you to have power over them. That's the arrangement. That's why the left is fighting so hard against the Save America Act. They don't want to be held accountable to the voter. So they're trying to prevent the voter from having secure elections. More in a moment. You heard Tommy Tuberville say that the president is not going to compromise on what he wants out of this legislation. In fact, the president's making some very big moves to get it done. Very big moves. In fact, yesterday, announcing after our program, he said, you know what, there's legislation that you guys just passed. I'm not signing it until you send me the Safe America Act. More on how hard in the paint President Trump is going right now. Ahead on this edition. Events. I want to thank a fantastic sponsor today. Meanwhile, the president was cooking the Senate yesterday, and. And they deserve it. So here's, here's the president, first and foremost on whether or not he would ever compromise on the Save America Act. Watch this. Cut five. Would you be open to a compromise measure that had provisions of the SAVE act into a reconciliation?
Donald Trump
Not really, no. The SAVE act should be. This doesn't compromise. It's voter id. It's proof of citizenship. And it's also the mail in ballots. We want mail in ballots for the military if they're away. We want them for people that are ill or people that are in some form handicapped or have a hard time or people even that are on vacation. I'm open to that. But mail in ballots, you have to vote because we have a lot of rigged elections. And then we added in men in women's sports is a no, no. No men in women's sports and no transgender mutilization of our children. These are 99% issues. And we have to do it. We have to protect. Look at what's going on in Los Angeles and California. The vote still hasn't been counted. What's it, two weeks now? It still hasn't been counted. And I don't know Spencer Pratt, but I watched him and he was doing really nicely. All of a sudden, he's out. And I said he was going to be out because he was doing well. And then a week later, they started saying, oh, he's starting to lose favor. He's starting to lose. I said, they just rigged the election, and they were going to do that with Steve Hilton. He's a good man. And I asked the U.S. attorney to go look at their votes. And as soon as I did that, they announced that Steve Hilton would be a finalist. So, no, we have. We have rigged elections. Now, in my case, I made it too big to rig. Remember the expression too big to rig? But we have rigged and we have to have voter ID if we don't have voter ID and proof of citizenship. But basically, it's the Save America Act. Everybody wants it. Everybody is in, including Democrats, 87% of Democrats want it, not the leaders, because they want to cheat. Their policy is so bad they're unelectable.
Vince
You know, it's not even a question of whether or not there was rigging in the LA mayoral race. You're aware of this, right? It's not even up for interpretation. There was clearly rigging involved in the LA mayoral race. Homeless people on skid row admitted that they were being paid for their votes for Karen Bass in the race. It was caught on James o' Keefe's camera. Local media also catching up with these homeless people, asking them about this. And they said, yeah, yeah, we were paid to vote for Karen bass. How much? $1, $2, $3 if you negotiated what? Yes, that actually happened. And of course not shocking, but definitely appalling that that was going on. It has been going on for a very long time. You know that in Los Angeles, in California, in a Democrat run corrupt area. And so that had some role in depriving Spencer Pratt's ability to show up in the finalist bout coming up in November in Los Angeles. In fact, the federal government is investigating this. FBI agents were just on skid row this past week interviewing homeless people about the fact that they were paid to vote. So that's under federal investigation as we speak. Not a close call. And it is yet another reason why you need election protections to try and stop that kind of nonsense in every state in the country. And it can't be just like randomly applied. It can't be just, oh, the Republican states are the ones who have election security, but the Democrat states, it's a free for all, who knows? Crapshoot. No, we've. That's basically the system we have now. It's a terrible system. We've got to fix it. We've got to fix it. And this brings me to what the President did yesterday. President is sick of the crap. He's tired of waiting for these guys to get off their asses and do something for us. And so yesterday the President made a huge announcement on Truth Social. You know, before the President's lunch, he was supposed to do a big bill signing event at the Congress. They had even set up a, like a whole photo area where it was going to be an opportunity for the President to give a speech. The speaker of the House, I guess, and whoever else wanted to, you know, talk. And then the President would sit down at a big presidential table that they had set up and he would sign this bipartisan housing legislation into law. But the President yesterday decided, you know, what I'm not signing that thing. In fact, I already said earlier this year, I'm not signing any legislation until I get the Save America Act. Here's what he wrote on Truth Social Today's housing news conference and signing is hereby canceled until such time as we passed the desperately needed Save America act, which I consider to be a national emergency. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT that just threw the entire the entire Senate into chaos yesterday. And I love it. I absolutely love, love it. All of the right people are freaking out about this. I'll explain what's going on here in just a moment. And also we can nerd out about the Constitution in a second. What happens if Congress passes? Both houses of Congress pass a bill and then send it off to the President and he doesn't sign it. I'll explain that too. That's all ahead on this edition of vince. Apparently it's some, some sort of like benefit to like directly connecting with nature and whatever, you know, as the kids say, touch grass. And so I was touching some grass yesterday as I do every day, and I'm walking around the yard and I was walking past my fast growing trees and I was thinking, boy, those trees are fast growing. They look really good right now. They're great right now. They've got great deals. Spring planting essentials up to half off on select plants. Mike Johnson
Is one.

Speaking of Dan Bongino, by the way, Monday, has this been announced anywhere yet? Josh, have we announced this? I don't even know. Anyway, I'm filling in for Dan on Monday. So if for those of you who have been with me through the Vince temporarily hosts for Dan Bongino era to the current iteration of this program, I'll be doing both shows on Monday. I'll be hosting this program, Dan Bongino's fine program and then I'll be doing the radio show that day. So it'll be, if you're looking for five hours, events, content, you'll have it. It's going to be great. Five plus.
Tommy Tuberville
We'll see.
Vince
We'll see what kind of Time we're dealing with on Monday. Anyway, a little, little breaking news for you. We've got the President of the United States throwing down. All right. And this is a very interesting tactic. He said, I'm not signing this legislation. Nope. No signature. Not until you send me the Save America Act. Now let me instantly just point out right away one of the elements here that matters. You're probably wondering, or perhaps you already know, but I'll explain for those who don't, what happens if the President doesn't sign legislation into law. Well, this actually has happened quite a bit in American history, especially with the early presidents where they wouldn't sign legislation that was handed over to them. In fact, Grover Cleveland, when he was in office 283 times, he didn't sign the legislation at all. And what happened? Well, after 10 days without a presidential signature, it becomes law. Yeah, that's the rule. Article 1, which is the congressional component of the Constitution. Article 1, Section 7 says that if the President does not sign legislation after it's presented to him, then 10 days later, with the exception of Sundays. Isn't that interesting? I love how the left's like, well, the Constitution doesn't mention God. You know, you bring up the Declaration of Independence like, well, we're not talking about that. The Constitution. Well, you know, interestingly, the Constitution has an exception for working on Sundays. Why would that be? What would that be about? Exactly, Libs, what's the point of that other than, you know, maybe acknowledging our creator could be. Anyway, the ten days accepting Sundays. So like Chick fil A, that particular provision is closed on Sunday and. But then, then it becomes law. Here's the key though. Here's the key. It has to be presented to the President. So some of you are saying, but wait a second, this is an empty threat from the President then. No, no, no, it has to be presented to him. There's an official way to do this. Now this housing bill is an HR bill, a House bill. So it has to be presented by the speaker of the House, they have to send it to him officially. And as far as we are aware, the reporting on this is that hasn't been done yet. So when the bill is finally presented to him, and that's really, that's at Speaker Johnson's discretion. So pay attention to Speaker Johnson' behavior here. When the bill is finally presented to him, then that starts the 10 day clock accepting Sundays. Okay, does that help? I hope that helps explain what the hell's going on here. Because it's interesting, the Constitution does contemplate a scenario where the president's like, I'm not signing them. So that's the question Lisa wants. Lisa says, Mike Johnson will cave. That's the thing to watch. Will Mike Johnson cave here or will he heed the demands of the President of the United States? Now, this move that the President just pulled off is causing a massive freakout here. For instance, is one Democrat, he's a Georgia senator, and he was on a network called Miz now last night, and he was lying his Oz off. Watch.
Interviewer
One of the things you've worked very hard on is this housing bill that I started the show talking about, and this morning, this all happened in the same day. Sometimes you can't make it up. In Washington, Trump just decided not to sign this bill bill, and instead he demanded that your Republican colleagues move forward in essentially pushing a voter suppression bill forward. I have my own thoughts. I mentioned some of them. Why do you think he pulled this all today?
John Ossoff
Let's be very clear about what the President is saying to the American people. The President is saying that he will not sign a bill whose purpose is to make housing affordable unless his allies in Congress pass a voter Supreme Court bill to rig the election. He's saying, I won't even sign a bill that will give economic relief to Americans unless the rules of this election are changed so that he, Donald Trump, cannot be held accountable for all of his misdeeds. Because that's what he really fears most of all, is that when there is a change in the balance of power and when we restore checks and balances, he knows that there will be subpoenas flying, that officials from his administration will be testifying under oath about the full range of misconduct and corruption that we already know has been happening since the moment he was sworn in.
Vince
Amazing. Just amazing. So what you just witnessed is projection from Ms. Now's viewer, John Ossoff, saying that the President is attempting to rig the election by passing an Election Integrity Law. How sinister. That's how they get you. They pass an Election Integrity Law to rig the election. What a freaking liar. What a liar. And it really goes to show, like, like, if the left had good critiques of the Save America act, they'd wield them. But they don't. So they lie about it, which is a clear sign of their culpability in destroying America's elections. It's as clear as it gets. If you have to lie about it, you're obviously orchestrating a cover up for the sins that your party's committing. So the President saying, no, I'M not signing this. Not until we get this thing. Not until we get the Save America Act. He's fighting for it now. Mike Johnson has reacted to this. Mike Johnson. Remember I told you a moment ago, it's really Mike Johnson. We got to keep your eyes on him. What is he up to? Here's Mike Johnson reacting to the President canceling the housing bill signing yesterday. Watch this. Cut 7.
Mike Johnson
Truth of the matter. I spoke to the President for 20 minutes before I went in and gave that rousing speech to the House Republicans this morning. He and I've talked about this a lot. He has expressed his the priority and the preference of the Save America Act. We share that. We passed it three times in the House. The latest version was passed a few months ago and it has proof of citizenship to register to vote and the proof of showing a photo ID when you show up to vote. Basic issues that 90% of Americans agree, 70% of Democrats think you ought to have a photo ID to vote. And citizenship to vote in an American election is already in the law. But we have to enforce it because you got a few blue states that don't do that. The President believes in election integrity. He talks about it all the time. And we do as well and act. Indeed, we have stood for that. We passed the Save America act again. Let me finish. This is very important. That is the top priority. Because if you do not have safe elections in this grand experiment in self governance that we have in a constitutional republic, you don't have anything right. And we got to ensure it. We have to press for election integrity measures. That's why we've made it a top priority. It has been stuck in the Senate and here's why. Because no Democrat in the House or Senate will vote for the Save America Act. Those two things I just told you. They vote against that every single time and they will. Why you ask? That's a rhetorical question. You should go ask them the actual question. Why are you against proof of citizenship and a photo id? Why is that? They can't give you a cogent answer.
Vince
The reason is they do want to
Mike Johnson
allow for cheating and fraud.
Vince
So yeah, he's right. They do want to allow for cheating. He's right about the Democrats in their opposition. They're protecting cheating in our elections. What Mike Johnson is excluding in his assessment is the fact that there are establishment Republican senators who don't actually support the Save America Act. They pretend to. They claim that their co sponsors and they really want this thing. Holy cow, we really could use this thing. But they're only doing that because they're trying to placate you and get you to go away. If they actually supported the Save America act, they would support the means to actually pass it. And that would be getting rid of the filibuster or using the talking filibuster as a means to get it done. That's it. It's as simple as that. And Mike Johnson is being, I think, far too generous to the Republicans in the Senate right now, as he says. Well, it's on Democrats. That's why we can't get this thing passed. No, it's also on Republicans. It's also on Republicans, and they're the ones who we are closer to being able to shake into their senses, although that's proving to be a tough fight. Now, Mike Johnson made a claim yesterday that in order to get the Save America act passed, it needs to be a part of something called reconciliation 3.0. Remember, reconciliation is a budgetary maneuver. Mike Lee told us earlier this year, it's not even possible to pass the Save America act this way. It's a fool's errand. But Mike Johnson says we can do some budget maneuvers here. Listen to him assess to make this, like basically game this out and then I'll assess what he just said in a moment. Watch Cut eight.
Mike Johnson
Mike Johnson, he's laser focused on Save America act as most common sense. Americans are the only path, I think, to get that done, because you're never going to get seven Democrats to join 53 Republicans in the Senate to do that. They will not do it. Chuck Schumer will, will never vote for that or release any Democrat to do it. You have to put it on a race reconciliation bill. We believe that if you create a grant program that ties it to reconciling the budget and you allow blue states, if they come to their senses and they want to avail themselves of election integrity proposals and ideas and policies they can draw down from a federal fund and use those funds. We're willing to invest heavily in that. And House Republicans will put together a reconciliation bill, reconciliation 3.0, that will have that. I think talked the President through that in detail this morning, as I have in the past. And he said, can we do it? I said, we can if the Republicans will stand together. We're on the line right now to defend it. Hold on. So that's what we're going to do. The President said, I want to see some progress on it. I said, I'd love to show it to you. We got a meeting today and Some more coming up. And so he's, he decided and I didn't announce it, I wanted him to announce it, but we're delaying this. As you know, he has a window of time before he has to sign a bill and he's going to use little, a little bit more that window of time and we're going to go through this together. Now the housing bill is a great product because this guy right here fought like a warrior poet to defend our principles. It did have a lot, a lot of Elizabeth Warren's preferences and policy provisions in the.
Vince
And they say they got rid of it. Okay, so back on the, on the reconciliation thing, you perhaps chat, you, you picked up what I picked up just a moment ago. He said we'll create a grant program and if these left wing states want election integrity, we'll have federal dollars for them to do that. Hey there, I'm Paula Pan. I help people make the smartest money decisions possible. If you don't control your money, it controls you.
Interviewer
You're not in control of your finances and you have to look outside of yourself to live the life that you want. You're not in control of your life.
Vince
Like what is it that you actually want? Money should follow the dreams and goals because sometimes we make the dream and goal the money and you've got overworked yourself and you've exceeded what you've needed for the actual thing you want. Sometimes we forget like what's the actual thing you want? Afford anything. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. Are you serious? If Democrat run states all of a sudden decide they want to protect voters from having their votes stolen, then we'll create a program that they can do that with. What is it? They can opt in. They have optional election integrity. The hell kind of plan is this? This is so stupid. This is. And look, is it possible to use the budget in order to compel behavior in states? Yeah, it's been done before. In fact, the reason the drinking age is 21 in every state in America is because the federal government conditioned federal highway funding. Based on that rule, you only get the money if your drinking age is at a minimum 21. That's it. And that's how every state ended up with a 21 year old drinking age. So if, if we threaten to cut off some of these states from massive amounts of federal money unless they have election integrity, that could work. But creating new grant programs and saying, hey, we've got an election integrity fund, if you'd like to make your elections more secure, I mean to the Extent that the left will do anything with that, they'll probably just steal the money and then not give us election integrity. It's like the same way when we negotiate with the left on the border, you know, comprehensive immigration reform. We'll do border security and amnesty. What do we end up with? Just amnesty, no border security. So how about no? How about no? This. This is stupid. And this is, again, an attempt to try and placate the Trump voters which voted the majority of voters in 2024. President Trump and his agenda win the popular vote in the last presidential election. This is an attempt to placate us. Stop placating us. Just do the job. Just do the hard work of standing on your own two feet in the Senate and pass the Save America Act. In fact, I'd like them to do that. Here's a problem, though. Senate's going on recess.
Mike Lee
Yeah.
Vince
They have a very, very long recess
Dan Bongino
they have to take.
Vince
They're going on vacation. And Mike Lee is straight up saying, this is stupid. What are we doing? We should stay in session. Cut nine. Mike Lee last night watch.
Mike Lee
Okay, so a lot has happened today, but I've got a concern. We do have a lot to do, a lot of work that needs to be done. The Save America act really does need to be passed. Why are we taking a recess right now? Why on earth is the Senate wanting to recess for two weeks? Now I get it. America's 250th birthday is coming up. That's great. It's all the more reason why we should finish our work. It's all the more reason why we should finish, do everything we possibly can to pass the Senate Save America act instead of recessing for two weeks only come back and work for a few weeks and then recess for another five or six weeks after that. Why? Why even bother to spend all this time and all this effort campaigning and running for office if, when we get here, we're constantly taking a recess, A recess at a moment when the Republican Party controls the House and the Senate and the White House. Why? Why do we do this? There's got to be a better way. A way that doesn't constantly involve saying, oh, wait, we gotta take a recess. We've gotta leave. The American people deserve better than this. They deserve to have free and fair elections, and we gotta fix it.
Vince
I know. I know it's frustrating. I know it's frustrating. I'm frustrated by it, and I'm a generally positive guy. I'm very frustrated by this. God bless Mike Lee for continuing to Stick it to them. He is not making friends in that establishment Republican conference. They are upset with Mike Lee Thombelina and John Cornyn and Bill Cassidy. They really resent that he keeps doing this. In fact, I guarantee you that one of their frustrations is that American citizens are more in touch now with the actual, with Senate procedure at a level we've never had to be focused before. You feel like that at all? Chat like you know more about how the Senate operates now than you have in your entire life. Like we, it was for years now you kind of just like, okay, well, there's a little Byzantine, little hard to understand how they do their business, but whatever. The goal is that they should get a bill out of the Senate, get a bill out of the House, send it off to the President. Now we're up in the details now. We're so sick of the crap. We're like, okay, show me how you do your job. Open that box up, tell me what's in there. How many votes do you need? What is that about? What's the cloture vote? About 60 votes. 60 votes to do what exactly? Oh, to end debate. What about starting it? Oh, you can start it and you're not starting it. Recess. Why are you on recess for most of the year? What's that about? Give us, give us an update. Don't you feel like their parole officer now? Like you're just like, you're all over these guys and rightfully so, you should be. Because our attention to detail on this subject will result in a better United States Senate. And it might not happen today, it might not happen this year, but it can happen very quickly, I think, over the course of several elections. But time is of the essence. If we have fraudulent elections that become dominant in dictating American power, we're screwed. Which is why, of course, we're fighting so feverishly, including against the establishment forces who don't want us focused on the details for the Save America Act. It's remarkable. And so stand on your freaking feet and fight for this. We're not asking that much just for you to do your jobs. So that's the update. That's a long winded update on the Save America act today. I gotta say, though, God bless the President of the United States. I'm reminded of why we love the guy in the first place. I'm so reminded. Yesterday's news cycle just reminded me of why I love this guy and why I voted for him so many times. Because he fights.
Mike Johnson
He.
Vince
The guy is Leonidas in the hot Gates in the Battle of Thermopylae. He's just fighting even against his own party. Bring them on. He's fighting everybody. He's, like, trying to fight the Democrats. He's fighting the Iranians, clearly overseas. Speaking of the Persians. He's fighting, fighting, fighting every single element that's fighting back against us. And the view that he's taken in the past, and the view that he continues to quite obviously have is, they're not after me. They're after you. I'm just standing in the way. Holy cow, is he standing in the way. Yesterday he announced, I'm not even signing legislation that both Houses sent me, that both parties send me, unless you give me election integrity. If American citizens can summon 10% of the fight that their president is waging for them right now, we will continue to have a very good country. And the evidence is out there that American citizens are waging this fight. The United States Senate is getting so many phone calls right now from people like us demanding that they actually do their jobs, which is why they're at their wit's end right now. They're getting it from every direction, whether it's their inboxes, their phones, or from the President of the United States. I'm reminded of why I love this guy. I was like. I was just so encouraged by it yesterday. I was like, man, how many rabbits can this guy pull out of his hat? He did it recently, too, with Bill Palti and this Director of National Intelligence fight. As the Senate was rushing to stop him from having his chosen guy in that role. He goes, I'll tell you what. I'm withdrawing my nomination of Jay Clayton. We're keeping Bill Palty there. You know what? Bill Palt, he's done. The guy's already removed over 50 people from their jobs at the. At the Director of national intelligence office.
Mike Johnson
50.
Vince
And that's in no time. He hasn't even been on the job for a week. It's pretty great. And. And I think. And I think there's more good things to come. I'm not sick of the winning. I'm not at all. In fact, one of the big fights that he's got right now, as I say, juggling chainsaws and catching the handles, is Iran. And we got an update. We got a couple updates on that subject. First and foremost, I don't have video for you right now, probably some audio on the radio show on this subject, but Marco Rubio was speaking to the press this morning and saying, look, guys, he continues to reiterate Just people, settle down. This memorandum of understanding is all about restraining Iran. He goes, I don't care what they say in public. They're going to do what Marco Rubio refers to as maximalist press conferences where they're constantly releasing statements about how they're going to pull one over on the United States and they haven't agreed to inspectors and all these other things. He goes, we've always anticipated this. This is the way they behave. I don't care how many press conferences they do. What it comes down to is, do they actually screw up in action? So, for instance, right now, we are liberating a bunch of ships from that area of the world that can now finally pass through the Strait of Hormuz. You just heard the President talking about oil prices coming down to $70 a barrel and falling. The oil is flowing, and that is a pressing humanitarian concern. We need cheap, abundant American energy for mankind and in particular for the President of the United States, Americans to flourish. It's a huge deal. JD Vance, not JD Vance, but JD Vance has been saying this, but Marco Rubio just said that that oil is flowing, but if Iran gets in the way, they've got another thing coming. So it doesn't matter what kind of nonsense comes out of their mouths. What matters is their actions. And so as of right now, the administration continues these negotiations. And Scott Betson yesterday, speaking to the press, he said, look, these oil sanctions that we're lifting right now on Iran, which allow Iran to enter into the legal international market to sell oil, it's, it's having a negative effect on China because China can't buy discount oil and be Iran's only buyer anymore. Now China has to compete at a higher price on the open market, and they're not getting as high of a percentage of Iran's oil, which is, by the way, what you and I have been talking about. Now, as long as we've known about this aspect of the Memorandum of Understanding, was the rest of the media missing these points? These are the most obvious things. And Scott Besson says Iran is getting a taste of what it would be like to be a normal country. Little bit of carrot, little sweetener to say, hey, you start acting normal, a very bright future awaits you. Watch the Treasury Secretary, who's great, watch this.
Treasury Secretary
Selling oil, it was going to China, but at a discount. It is a carrot that we can always pull back. We want them to see what it feels like not having the sanctions on, and then we can always put them back on.
Dan Bongino
Their economy is hurting, though, obviously Devastating, devastated.
Treasury Secretary
They got more than 100% inflation, troops weren't getting paid. So we have laid their economy to waste and that's what brought them to the table.
Vince
So when you hear the Iranians, maybe
Dan Bongino
it's the IRGC with this public relations saying the IAEA inspectors are not coming, the Strait of Hormuz is closed, all of these things day to day get picked up.
Treasury Secretary
Just what amazes me, it's the same people, a lot of the hawks in the US who say, you can't believe anything the Iranians say unless they say it about the negotiations. Believe them for the negotiations. Remember Baghdad Bob from Iraq? It's kind of Turin, Tim. Like, it's just a lot of big talk and let's just see how this cooks out. But I'm optimistic.
Vince
I love it. He's right, too. It's funny. It's like there's a, there's a category of people in the United States these, these neocon type, well, he refers to as warhawk politicians in, in D.C. who are constantly crapping all over the President's attempt to get a peace deal here and saying the Iranians can't be trusted. The Iranians can't be trusted. And as soon as the Iranians say something right now about the deal, that they're like, oh, that's not part of the deal. They're like, Iran trust them. Like, no, you can't have it both ways. The answer is the Iranians can't be trusted. To be clear, that's the position of the Trump administration and the President and the vice president and the Secretary of State and the Treasury Secretary and the Secretary of war. And all the way down the line, the Iranians can't be trusted. Join us in that assessment, would you, please? I think a lot of you used to have it, so be good if you would join us again on that subject. Amazing. By the way, speaking of foreign policy, we do have breaking news this morning. A big international crisis actually breaking overnight. We're just getting the pieces of this and we'll have a greater sense of what exactly happened in Venezuela coming up. I think, as I do the radio show today, starting at noon Eastern time. But at least 164 people are dead overnight, killed in a pair of twin horrific earthquakes in Venezuela. A 7 1/2 magnitude earthquake and a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. A foreshock, they say, hit one after the other, one after the other overnight. And they say at least 164 people are dead, 971 are injured. This is according to Venezuela's government right now. And they said there was a resident. CNN said a resident who survived the earthquake that hit Caracas in 1967 said that last night's earthquakes were unlike anything that he experienced back then. And there's lots of really horrific imagery coming out from Venezuela. So the first, first and foremost, even before I get into kind of the updates as we have in this morning, I would ask for the prayers that you can lift up for the people of Venezuela and for the search and rescue teams and the survivors as they comb through the massive rubble that's clearly there in the country right now. The president this morning has already indicated that America does stand ready to help and said the following. He said the two major earthquakes that just hit the great people of Venezuela are both massive in scale and have left a devastating number of deaths. The USA stands ready, willing and able to help. I've instructed all agencies of our government to get ready to move quickly. We will be there for our new and great friends. Early reports are not good. President DJT Secretary Marco Rubio did say this morning that the airport, even the Runway there is destroyed. And this is going to require the United States military coming up with some of some solutions that they are very good at to in order to regain air access in the country. So there was a lot of moving parts underway. But the role that you and I can play right away is lifting up our prayers for the people of Venezuela as, as they deal with this. So some breaking news on all fronts this morning, including international. We've got a lot more to get to. I'm gonna do it on the big national radio show today, the VIN Show.com to get your local radio listings. And you can watch this program live. The radio program live from 1 to 3 eastern time right here on rumble.com/vince eagerly anticipating two more shows today. We got Dan Bongino. Rumble.com bongino 10am Haley Karenia. She's great. Rumble.com Haley Haley with two wise why? Because she is great. She's on at noon Eastern on Rumble. And as always, thank you so much for being here. I can't wait to be back with you tomorrow. The best audience anywhere. And remember, on Monday I'm doing five hours of this stuff, including on Dan Bongino's fine program. Can't wait to do it. The Dan Bongino Show.
Dan Bongino
It's our movement, okay? It's ours.
Vince
We built it. Hard truths.
Dan Bongino
There are a bunch of people out there pulling you into an information vortex, dumping the dead pig in the well, hoping you jump in. Don't jump in the well. It's a trap. Find a way out immediately. This is the nothing is happening trap. And it is an inverted sense of reality. If we don't correct it and your kids believe it. I'm sorry. This show's for nothing.

This episode of VINCE centers on President Trump's surprise declaration of a "national emergency" tied directly to the fate of the Save America Act—a sweeping election integrity bill encompassing voter ID, proof of citizenship, limits to mail-in ballots, and provisions on gender in sports. The episode captures a day of Capitol Hill drama: a fiery meeting between Trump and Senate Republicans, backroom maneuverings, and the President's unprecedented ultimatum to Congress—no signature on key legislation until the Save America Act is passed.
Vince unpacks every turn: a Senate shouting match, shifting alliances, Trump's domestic and foreign policy maneuvers (especially negotiation with Iran), and the Republican Party's internal fractures. The tone is sharp, irreverent, and combatively conservative throughout, with Vince aiming to arm listeners with what he calls "America’s most concentrated source of real news."

The episode’s tone is energetic, confrontational, and deeply skeptical of both Democratic leadership and GOP establishment figures seen as insufficiently loyal to Trump’s agenda.
