I want to start with some gratitude for him today because he just, he woke up and he chose victory this weekend. He said, you know what we need the Save America Act. I guess what had happened was the precipitating event for this was our friend Scott Pressler was on the FOX News Channel this weekend on yesterday Sunday morning. And the president sees this and he goes, man, that guy's great. He did a great job talking about using the speaking filibuster to get the Save America act passed. This is the way we've got to do it. Here's the president of the United States reacting last night to everything he says. Let's see here. Great job by hardworking Scott Pressler. Great job by the hardworking Scott Pressler on Fox and Friends talking about using the filibuster or, or talking filibuster. In order to pass the Save America act, an 88% issue with all voters, it must be done immediately. It supersedes everything. It must go to the front of the line. I as president will not sign any other bills until this is passed. And not the watered down version. Go for the gold. You must show voter ID and proof of citizenship. No mail in ballots except for the military or illness or disability in travel. No men in women's sports. No transgender mutilization for children. Do not fail. Donald. Excuse me. President Donald J. Trump. President DONALD J. Trump. All right, so there's the president with what has what started as a voter integrity bill, which is like a no cheating in elections bill. Now it's a no cheating anywhere bill. The bill forbids cheating in both women's sports and end in elections. The president said it's a great bill. Let me see if I can make it even better. And that's what he's done here. And no, no mutilizing children. It's, it's amazing what he's been able to achieve here. So that's great. He says we need to pass it now. He also posted the truth social. It's all people care about. He's hearing you pass the Save America Act. He said it's all people care about. Yeah, that's right. That's exactly right. It is what we care about. This is a sign that he's paying attention to his base. This is a clear sign that he's seeing all of your comments on Truth Social. And this is a very clear sign that he's hearing from all of us that this is what we really want. We want integrity on our elections. We want to be able to believe them. In fact, kind of the whole country is held together by determining that your elections are being credibly conducted. The president knows it matters. So how are Democrats responding to this? Well, typically, Chuck Schumer threw a mindless fit this weekend. He said that the SAVE act is Jim Crow 2.0. It's the old Democrat standby, their favorite talking point. Here's what he said. He said the SAVE act is Jim Crow 2.0. We would disenfranchise tens of millions of people. If Trump is saying he won't sign any bills until the SAVE act is passed, then so be it. There will be total gridlock in the Senate. Senate Democrats will not pass the SAVE act under any circumstances. Well, the good news is we don't need Chuck Schumer. We don't. This is why we keep saying use the speaking filibuster as the vehicle for doing this. All you need are 51 votes. That's all you need now, of course. Does that mean we have them? No, not yet. And I'll get to that in a moment. I've got the whip count for you. Actually, we now have names for all of the people who are for using the speaking filibuster and the guys who are still ducking the issue. We've got the details on that. But first on this Chuck Schumer post, this claim that this is Jim Crow 2.0, which is ridiculous, it would disenfranchise tens of millions of people. He says, let me just set some ground truths for you here. One, the Save America act is the single most important piece of civil rights legislation this century in the United States. Contrary to Chuck Schumer's claims that it would disenfranchise. It wouldn't disenfranchise Americans. It would disenfranchise illegals who don't have the franchise under the law of voting in the United States of America. This bill is designed to protect voters from having their votes stolen or watered down by illegal votes. This is civil rights legislation. In fact, when it becomes law it will be enforced by the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice. So Chuck Schumer is once again lying. He's claiming that the Save America act would amount to racial prejudice or something, when of course, it's the opposite of that. It would protect American citizens from illegal aliens and the Democrats who enable them from, from interfering in our elections. That's one, two. It also protects, as I mentioned a moment ago, if President Trump gets his way, women's sports. It doesn't allow men to cheat in women's sports. It protects women from unjust discrimination, from having their rights and honor stolen. So again, this is civil rights legislation that would protect women and it protects kids. If we stop the mutualization of children, well then that's protecting children. Chuck Schumer's against that. Chuck Schumer would rather see mutilation of kids. It's pretty sick stuff. But Chuck Schumer is sort of an empty vessel. The guy doesn't actually believe in anything. He doesn't believe in anything. Oh, and by the way, the most, the biggest thing in that list of fact checks here is the Democrats were responsible for Jim Crow 1.0 and they're still trying to retcon history to pretend like that wasn't the case. Chuck Schumer was born while Jim Crow 1.0 was ongoing. And now he's claiming it's the Republicans who are responsible for Jim Crow. Uh huh. Thanks, Chuck. But as I said, Chuck Schumer doesn't believe in anything. In fact, here's Chuck schumer back in 1996, insisting to anybody who would listen to him at the time that voter ID is a great way to stop illegal alien fraud. Here it comes to us from the Western Lensman account. Check out this flashback.
Chuck Schumer
But let's admit the truth. Everywhere people go, they're asked for a Social Security card. In fact, one way to prove you're a bona fide person who can have a job is to ask for a driver's license and a Social Security card. This is an anti fraud amendment. All over where we go, people say, well, why can't you stop illegal immigrants or others from coming here? And the number one answer we give our constituents is when they come here, they can get jobs, get benefits against the law because of fraud.
Vince
They can get jobs and benefits and break our laws because of fraud. You know, would stop that Photo ID identification said Chuck Schumer. That was Chuck schumer back in 1996. And now 30 years later, well, he's on team fraud. So Chuck Schumer Knew that photo ID was a perfectly legitimate thing back in 1996, but suddenly he's against it. And the reason for that is because Democrats are very comfortable with the new world in which they have been able to figure out a way to accrue power, which is just screw American citizens over, import new people, and then use them as a means to maintain power, either through corrupting congressional seats for the Electoral College count, or giving amnesty to people or allowing them to vote fraudulently in elections, or introducing chaos as a justification for the growth of big government. All of those are reasons that Democrats have become very, very comfortable with importing people by the tens of millions and then preventing us from getting and restoring order in our country. That's the reality of this. So that's. That's Chuck Schumer today. Now, in case you're interested in what the whip count here is, we. We've got one from Mark Meadows. Let me see if I can do this. Can I. Can you see? Good, good, good. We're a little closer to making this work. Here's Mark Meadows with the official whip count. These are Republican senators who have voiced public support for using the standing filibuster. For using the standing filibuster. This is a massive distinction we're making here. These are people who have straight up said that, yes, we will do it this way. In other words, they're the people, the only people who actually support the SAVE Act. We've got Jim Banks, Marsha Blackburn, Ted Budd, Katie Britt, Bill Cassidy, John Cornyn, Ted Cruz, Joni Ernst, Bill Haggerty, Josh Hawley, Ron Johnson, Mike Lee, Cynthia Loomis, Roger Marshall, Dave McCormick, Bernie Moreno, Mark Wayne Mullen, Rand Paul, Jim Risch, Eric Schmidt, Rick Scott, Tim Sheehy, Dan Sullivan, and Tommy Tuberville. Well, that's encouraging. That list is good and growing. That's important. But you've got a lot of senators who have not yet voiced support, and that includes, as Mark Meadows successfully captures here, John Barrasso. I'll get to him in a moment. Barrasso is a big one because he's the majority whip in the Senate. His job is getting all these Republicans in line and getting them to support legislation that leadership supports. Barrasso has not yet voiced support for the speaking filibuster. More on that in a moment. You've got John Boozman, Shelley Moore, Capito, Susan Collins, Tom Cotton, Kevin Kramer, Mike Crapo, John Curtis, Steve Daines, Deb Fisher, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, John Hovin, Jim Justice, John Kennedy, James Lankford, Mitch McConnell, Jerry Moran, Lisa Murkowski, Pete Ricketts, Tim Scott, John Thune, Thom Tillis, Roger Wicker and Todd Young. All of these guys have not yet signaled support or have actively spoken out against the use of the speaking filibuster. The use of the speaking filibuster. So that's a disaster. And each of these guys, if these are your senators, please get on the phone with their offices and tell them you want them to use the speaking filibuster to pass this. Now, I do have one more. Let me see. There was a. There was an addition to this list. Ashley Moody. Somebody just asked. Ashley Moody is on the list. Mark Meadows says that she's on the support list. Ashley Moody in Florida. That's good. I saw one other person ask me about Barrasso. Oh, cover. And McGraw. Cover in. McGrewin says. Didn't Barrasso say he backed it over the weekend on Fox. Cover. Thank you. Thank you for bringing this up, because this is a critical point. Barrasso played a word game this weekend, and I want you to listen to it and see if he can detect it. Ready? Here's John Barrasso in the Fox News interview this weekend. Cut 3. Listen to the majority whip. Here he goes. Support a talking filibuster to get the SAVE act to the floor. Will you and John Thune do it?
John Barrasso
That's one way to do it. Members are having meetings right now to say, what's the best way that we can actually get this passed? I met with the president at the White House about 10 days ago, the day before the bombing started in Iran, to work on finding the best path forward. We need to get this passed. We need to get it signed into law. I am a full supporter.
Vince
That's one way to do it, said John Barrasso. That's Washington speak for. We're not doing it that way. Look, if Barrasso was in on the speaking filibuster, he would just outright say, that's the plan. That's what we're going for. This is what I'm telling my colleagues to support. I'm the majority whip, after all. That's leadership. That's John Thune, the majority leader, and then John Barrasso, the majority whip. It's their job to get their conference in order. And that's not what's happening here. Barrasso's not doing that. He's trying to kind of settle you down. So. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's one of the strategies. We're just trying to figure out a way to get this thing passed. I'm sorry, that's not one of the strategies. It is the strategy. Unless the other strategy that Barrasso has on the table is getting rid of the zombie filibuster. The non speaking, the silent filibuster. Unless that's the other strategy he's talking about. He's just trying to make you go away. That's it. So I know that that clip was going around the Internet this weekend as like, John Barrasso is opening the door that he's, he's getting closer to supporting the speaking filibuster. I'm sorry, but that's not the way I interpret that clip. That clip is a head pat. And I'm happy to have John Barrasso prove me wrong. In fact, I'd welcome Senator Barrasso on this program so we could talk about it and, and hear his rousing endorsement of the speaking filibuster as it means to get this thing through. But when he says this is one of the options on the table, that's a mitigation strategy that's just kind of designed to settle you down and to make you think that he's on your team. He's not yet. He didn't voice support for it. That's the honest. That's, that's the yes. Playing word games says Mbon dc That's what's happening here, which is why Barrasso continues to be on the list of the people who are ducking the question. Mike Lee wants to give this thing a shot. Mike Lee really wants to give the talking filibuster a shot. He said now's the time. Cut four. Here's Mike Lee.
Mike Lee
We're just talking about the talking filibuster. I do believe they will nuke it. But regardless, Kelly, we have the majority in the Senate now, along with the House majority and with the White House. We don't know how long that will continue, but we know that there is a chance that a year from now things will be different. So let's give it a shot now. And particularly since this regards election security in our ability to win a fair election may well depend on passage of the Save America Act. Why would we waste any time? Even if there are other legislative priorities we want to tackle, why not deal with this first, knowing that it's going to take some time and knowing how important it is to maintain the President's agenda and the Congressional minorities in Republican hands. Congressional majorities need to not turn into minorities. And that's exactly why We've got to do this and pass the Save America Act.
Vince
We have to do it to make sure that elections are safeguarded. If you'd like to guarantee that Republicans end up in the minority, a good way to do that is to leave them vulnerable to fraud. That's what Mike Lee just said. Mike Lee's right. Mike Lee's right. All right. We've got a lot more to get to here on the program. I want to talk. Well, we've got, we've got a lot of options, a lot of things we could possibly talk about, including, you know, Thumbelina, Thom Tellis is like out of control. He was throwing another bit fit about Stephen Miller this weekend. Stephen Miller, who's been absolutely great. Thumbelina hates him. I've got more on that in just a moment. Hey, but first I want to ask you a really simple question. You ever think about aging and its impact on your body? In fact, does aging force you to think about the impact on your body? This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Thank you to fatty15, great sponsor of our program enriching my life. Thank you very much. Fatty15.com Vince. Use the code Vince. Okay. Thumbelina is out of control again. The guy's retiring and boy, it shows. He doesn't like Trump. He doesn't like anybody around him. And he's super happy that Kristi Noem is leaving at the Department of Homeland Security. In fact, he is very happy that Mark Wayne Mullen is going into the job, which I'm a little worried about. It's not exactly a. A rousing endorsement for Mark Wayne Mullen. If Thumbelina thinks you're wonderful. Here's Thom Tillis throwing a huge fit about Stephen Miller this weekend. Cut five. Watch this. Do you think Stephen Miller should go?
Thom Tillis
Oh, of course I do. I think Stephen Miller is one of the. One of the. Not only does Stephen really want to just paint a picture, he's not worried about substance. He's more worried about form. But also think that he has an outsized influence over the operations of the Cabinet. And I believe we've got qualified Cabinet members there that sometimes are doing less than what they want to because of his direction and his outsized influence. He's a big problem in this administration. He has been from the beginning. But Noem is a Senate confirmed Cabinet member. She should have been independent. I believe that Mark Wayne will be independent. I believe that Mark Wayne will be driven by data. He'll leverage law enforcement resources, expertise, people like Tom Holman to get things right. And if he doesn't, we'd hold him accountable. But I have a lot of confidence in my friend, and I'm looking forward to him getting this department under control so that Republicans can seize an issue that helped us get elected. Strong on the border, strong on deportation, strong on the rule of law.
Vince
This guy's a total dork. He has no idea what he's even talking about. Independent. It's like. It's crazy. Let me just start with Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller is a patriot. Stephen Miller is an America first energizing force inside of the Trump administration who's done a great job for the President of the United States all the way from the beginning of his first term in office through now. And there he is. And what does Stephen want? Stephen wants secure borders. Stephen wants illegals to leave. He wants to deport them. And Thumbelina wants them to stay. He said, oh, it should be over. It should be quality, not quantity. We should. We should tap the brakes on all these deportations. It's too much. He. He whines. It's so crazy. So. So that chick is angry about Stephen Miller doing an effective job, and he was mad that Kristi Noem was deporting people at scale. And so he's calling on Mark Wayne Mullen to slam the brakes. Now, if If I'm Mark Wayne Mullen right now, I want to establish as much distance as possible from Tom Bolina. Like, the last thing you want is that lady's support, because it's just. It tells people that you're weak, that you're not dedicated to the mission, that you're not trying to restore the integrity of the country. It's crystal clear. And then you hear there, Thumb said something about, oh, the DHS is supposed to be independent of the White House. That's constitutionally illiterate. The Article 2 of the United States Constitution establishes the Executive branch under the authority of the President of the United States. The DHS secretary, whoever it is, works for the President. They're not independent. If the President says, this is your mission now, that's their mission. Now, this person who runs DHS is ultimately responsive to the will of the voters because they work for the guy that we elected, the President of the United States. That's the way this works. They don't work for Thumbelina. So there's Thumb and is kind of like desperate little tantrum on the way out the door, attacking Stephen Miller and getting the Constitution completely wrong. One more for you, and this is where I'm concerned. Tillis says that Mark Wayne Mullen is going to tap the brakes on deportations, cut six watch, and tell Stephen Miller
Thom Tillis
to stay in his lanes and let him leave the agency. I believe that Mark Wayne recognizes that it's quality over quantity. We want to go after the most dangerous people, the gang members, the drug traffickers, the murderers, the rapists, the things that Noam promised that we would go after, and she simply didn't deliver.
Vince
Look, if Mark Wayne Mullen actually shares that sentiment with Tillis, he's the wrong guy for the job. He'll be the wrong guy for the job, I expect, and I hope Mark Wayne Mullen is going to distance himself from that kind of insanity, which is like, oh, we shouldn't deport too many people, or, you know, DHS needs to be independent of the White House. It's too much. And. And that's not a good advocate for him going on national television this weekend. We'll keep our eyes on that particular issue. I really want the border mission to succeed. We just have to restore order to the country. All right. More in just a moment. We'll be joined by the great Congressman Rick Crawford. We'll get an update from him on what is happening in the war in Iran right now. Operation Epic Fury, from his perspective as the Chairman of the Intel Committee. Let's, let's bring in our great guest now. We, we turn now to the congressman, the head of the House Intel Committee, Rick Crawford, who joins us now after what I'm assuming was a very busy weekend keeping track of what's going on in the Middle East. Congressman, good to have you with us today, sir.
Congressman Rick Crawford
Yes, sir. Thank you.
Vince
What is the latest? What should we know about Operation Epic Fury that you're learning, sir?
Congressman Rick Crawford
Well, I would start by just saying this. This is maybe one of the most, if not the most transparent administrations, I think, certainly in my lifetime, as it applies to keeping us informed. We, the members of Congress, I serve as chairman of the committee, and in that position, you're a member of what's called the Gang of Eight. And just so people understand what the Gang of Eight is, that's the chairman and ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the chairman and ranking member, or what they call the vice chairman in the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, plus the leadership of both the House and the Senate, that is the majority minority leader in the Senate and the speaker and the minority leader in the House, that is the Gang of Eight. They've been very, very forthcoming with all that information and did a full briefing to both the House and Senate last week. So we're being kept in the loop, so to speak. And it's, it's, they do a really good job, quite frankly. I think Dan Kane, our Chairman of Joint Chiefs, Pete Hegseth, our Secretary of War and, and Secretary Rubio have done a fantastic job in presenting this information and keeping close touch with me and my colleagues. So that part of it's been really, really good. You know, I think that what we're seeing now, the precision of the US Military is just unmatched. It's fantastic to see. And we get this information, you know, the targeting packages, the word, the damage after action stuff, they're just doing a fantastic job. I mean, this has gone much better than I think folks may have anticipated. And I think the conditions on the ground are such that I think the Iranian people are going to be in a position to sort of reclaim their country much quicker than what we may have anticipated.
Vince
So the administration says that this is ahead of schedule, that this is going faster than anticipated, which sounds like good news. It seems like one of the reasons they are convinced of that is because the Iranians have fewer and fewer munitions to fire each day, that there's been a massive decline in the number of missiles that they've been able to fire. Fire off. What, what's the data that you're looking at that's giving you some optimism here?
Congressman Rick Crawford
Well, they had a pretty tremendous stockpile of munitions, number one. Number two, their launch capability was also very good because most of it was mobile and it was hard to find. So we went in there and were very successful in identifying these targets, that is the launch sites. It's it, you know, you can do. They were basically overwhelming their targets with, with launches. But we've gone in there in a very short span of time and reduced their launch frequency by some estimates as much as 90%, maybe even more than that. So we've, we've greatly degraded their ability to launch at the scale that they were launching initially. So we're taking out the archers as opposed to the arrows. That's really good. Then going after their stockpiles and their production facilities to make sure that they can't backfill and increase their, their magazine depth. So all of those things have been part and parcel of what's taken place, and it's been pretty masterfully done under this Secretary of War and this Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and President Trump. They're not playing around.
Vince
We've seen some impact on oil prices. So there's a domestic feel to this. People should know by now that when oil prices go up, you'll see prices at the pump go up rapidly. There's what they call rocket and feather effect to gas prices. And as those oil prices come down, the gas prices will come down much more slowly. And it was over $100. It's been over $100 a barrel going into the weekend. As a result, there's a lot of concern in the Strait of Hormuz that there won't be enough free passage for these oil tankers. Congressman Crawford, what do you know about this in terms of the impact on oil, and when can we see some relief, do you think?
Congressman Rick Crawford
Well, so basically, the Strait of Hormuz, as you probably know, and you've probably got a pretty sophisticated audience that already knows that about 20% of the global supply transits the Strait of Hormuz. What most people don't know is about 90% of what the Chinese produce, I mean, what the Iranians produce goes to China. So it's a choke point, and there's no question about that. What happened Was early on, the Iranians actually struck one of their own vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. This was a sanctioned vessel and it was. They were willing to sacrifice that to make a point. And the point was this, they wanted to shut down the Strait of Hormuz in a non military way so they didn't go out and mine the strait like they had done in the past. This happened in 1988, and President Reagan followed up with some strikes and some escorts and so on to reopen the strait. What they did was an actuary strike. What they did was they struck their own vessel as a signal to the rest of the world that you can't, it's not safe to ship here. And so Lloyd's of London, the primary insurer, says, basically, we're out. We're not going to insure any shipping in this Strait of Hormuz. So that's where we are right now. So the President of the United States comes in and says, no, we're not going to have that. So he's organizing insurance and escorts to reopen the strait. Now, there'll be a lag in getting that, you know, cost per barrel down. You know, in a perfect world, what you'd probably like to see is that price per barrel, somewhere between 50 and $70. You need to make it, you know, profitable for the oil companies to actually sell it, but you need to make it affordable for the consumers to consume it. And so there's a, there's an equilibrium that you're trying to strike. When we get up over $90 a barrel, we start to get a little panicked. Here in the United States, we don't like to pay that much at the pump. And it's always going to be manifest at the pump. In the short term, I think we're probably going to see this resolved. With President Trump's position on making sure that that transit is safe. There haven't been any kinetic strikes as yet other than the one on that one ship that I mentioned. And by the way, that was a sanctioned ship. So it was an easy sacrifice for them to make so that they could make the point and get that actuary
Vince
shut down, you know. And by the way, this morning, according to Triple A, the national average gas price is up around $3.48 per gallon. By way of comparison, when Joe Biden was in office In July of 22, it was $5.07 a gallon. It was a lot higher even than it is right now in the Strait
Congressman Rick Crawford
of Hormuz was open at the time. So you know that was his policy that drove that price increase.
Vince
It's worth keeping that context in mind. I know that I'm seeing reports that the Trump administration is a little bit perturbed by Israeli strikes in Tehran on oil depots. There are oil depots around Tehran, and this weekend we saw flames coming up from them as a result of Israeli airstrikes. And reportedly there's some White House concern about this because they don't want to see the people of Tehran in any way affected. They're looking to take out the regime and they're not trying to target oil infrastructure. What do you know about this, Congressman Crawford?
Congressman Rick Crawford
Well, I mean, I've seen the news on those strikes, haven't been briefed on it. So everything that I've seen is in the open source, as most people would see. I have some concerns. I mean, what we don't want to do is create a supply and demand problem that is, I mean, okay, it's fine to make it a little more difficult for the Chinese to acquire Iranian oil. That's okay. I don't necessarily have a problem with that. But we also, to the point I think that the president was making, look, we want to make sure that the conditions on the ground are optimal for the Iranian people to operate so that they can reclaim their country. And if we are being indiscriminate in our targeting, that could create a problem. And I think, I'm not suggesting that the Israelis are being indiscriminate in their targeting, but they may be doing things that don't necessarily mesh with President Trump's view. And so I'm sure they're having conversations about that.
Vince
Congressman Rick Crawford, if you don't mind, can I ask you two other intelligence related topics separate from Iran? One of them is that I know 60 Minutes had a big report on Havana Syndrome this weekend, which is basically that various members, various Americans, often in the CIA, suffered from some sort of disruption to their minds and their bodies that really hurt them. And they've struggled for years to convince people that they were legitimately attacked by some sort of unknown weapon. 60 minutes is now convinced that this is Russian technology that may be on the black market. Small devices that are generating some sort of energy that has impacted American service members at a variety of levels. What do you know about it, Congressman, and what should be done about this?
Congressman Rick Crawford
Well, I know a lot about it. We started an investigation in the, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence some three years ago, and I was in charge of that investigation. And when I took over as chairman of the committee, we continued that and are continuing that investigation. We put out an interim report in December of 24, and basically what we were saying. Excuse me, we challenged the ICA that the Biden administration had produced the intelligence community assessment, basically saying that nothing to see here. There is something to see here. Number one is the, I think the. The gross breach of trust from the Biden administration in terms of breaking faith with the workforce. That is not protecting those individuals that were downrange deployed around the world in various locations. I mean, you've seen some of the history of these incidents documented around the world, and I've talked to numerous of these folks that have been targeted, and I've seen what they have become as a result of these incidents. And for the Biden administration to have essentially dismissed them as being crackpots or gold bricks or any number of things that they might want to, you know, blame them for, it's their issue. It wasn't anything that was legitimate. That's false. These are legitimate concerns that these individuals had. They had, you know, physiological symptoms presenting. And they, in many cases, depending on the severity of the attacks, are in some cases, shells of their former selves. And so I take this very, very seriously. And so we started this investigation basically to determine essentially the veracity of the claims, who's been hit, what are the nature of these claims. And we uncovered a heck of a lot more. And so now there's the ability. Is there a way to attribute. And we're still in that discovery mode ourselves. We are. Like I said, this is an active investigation in our committee. And we have two really good investigators. We've done transcribed interviews with, I mean, probably 50 people, different members of the IC and other agencies, not only CIA, which were indiscriminate. They were sort of disproportionately targeted because of the nature of their work. But there were also Department of War individuals, Department of State, in some cases. There were. There were some FBI agents. And so it wasn't limited to just the CIA, but that was sort of the disproportionate number.
Vince
Yeah. And when you say that aren't CIA agents, especially when they're overseas, isn't the, the nature of their work supposed to be secret, discreet? I mean, is it. Is it possible people became aware of who they were and then started attacking them? Is that how this happened?
Congressman Rick Crawford
Yes. And, I mean, multiple things can be true at the same time. So, number one, there are declared officers that are there, and our host nation knows that they're there as intelligence officers. That's number one. Number two, there are individuals that serve in those capacities that are undeclared or maybe under an official cover or whatever. And it's possible that an adversary could identify them as being an intelligence officer. And so that's another question. I mean, how did that happen? Yes, but in many cases, these were either declared officers or in some cases, maybe support officers. Other cases they might have been State Department that weren't associated with the CIA. And in other cases, it might have been Department of War. You know, we have defense attache offices and in our embassies around the world.
Vince
Yes.
Congressman Rick Crawford
And then we have also legal, what we call illegal attaches, which are FBI agents that are present in those countries.
Vince
And finally, on this topic, do you believe that it's. That it's likely that it was a state actor, that Russia could be responsible for these attacks?
Congressman Rick Crawford
Well, I'm not prepared to make attribution definitively here, but I don't want to rule out, certainly, I would never rule out the possibility of an adversary, possibly a state actor, having the capability of doing this. And so those are things that are part of our investigation and not. Not being ruled out. Certainly.
Vince
And then finally, the other big intelligence question I have is the president indicated recently that he wants everything on extraterrestrial life or whatever might be going on declassified. Is there. Do you have any awareness of what the president's talking about? Is there anything that you think we could look forward to here?
Congressman Rick Crawford
Well, that one is over my, you know, above my pay grade. I haven't seen anything like that. We actually did have a hearing, it's probably been a couple of years ago in the Intel Committee where we brought some of this stuff in and looked at it, and nothing that was presented to me rose to that level. So. But there are other committees of jurisdiction that, that may have had other information presented to them. And I, I wasn't privy to any of those proceedings, so I couldn't comment on the nature of that. But nothing that I've seen. But then the president also has, I mean, he has higher clearance than I do. So. So I don't know what he's seen, but. But I will absolutely, you know, take direction and do what we can to comply with his. With his wishes.
Vince
All right. Well, Congressman Rick Crawford, I'm really appreciative of the time you've given us this morning. Thank you for sharing what you can share and appreciate you. I hope you come back sometime. Sir.
Congressman Rick Crawford
Yes, sir. Thank you.
Vince
There is the chairman of the House Intel Committee, Congressman Rick Crawford. Of Arkansas, the first Congressional district there. Good to have him with us this morning. Isn't that great? That was a. That was a good series of. Of disclosures and information. Good to talk to him. And. Yeah, no, I'm. I'm very concerned about these guys who were hit by these energy weapons. It's so crazy that they were hit and then they. They suffered from these basically paralyzing effects. In the. In the reporting on this, you have an entire table of people at a restaurant as a guy walks past them with a backpack on. The device is apparently pretty small, maybe can be backpack contained, according to the reporting. And the entire table collapses all of a sudden with like, paralyzing headaches and traumatic effects to their bodies. Something really big is going on here. And good to talk to Congressman Rick Crawford to see if we can't get to the bottom of this. Too many of these guys have spent way too long trying to convince people of something that was real and then being treated like they were crazy for having been impacted by this. Okay, let's see. I. We've got. We've got a lot of other things to get to here. One thing that happened this weekend that we really need to get to is that in New York City, there was a terror attack outside of Gracie Mansion. That's where the mayor of the city lives. That would be Zoran Mamdani, now the communist. And there was a terror attack by two Muslim terrorists who were throwing IEDs this weekend. The New York City Police Department caught a couple of terrorists who were. Who are lighting and chucking IEDs outside of Gracie Mansion this weekend during what Fox News reported as dueling demonstrations. Dueling demonstrations. There was a. An initial protest called Stop the Islamic takeover of New York City. And then I guess what happened was a couple of Muslim terrorists show up and they start throwing IEDs outside of the building at the crowd. And that led to this video. This. Take a look. Cut seven, the NYPD catching the terrorists who were chucking the IEDs. Watch this.
Congressman Rick Crawford
Stay back. Stay back, please.
Vince
God. So the terrorists here were screaming Allahu Akbar. Bill Malusian had some reporting on this as well. He said Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar is what they were yelling. Per three federal law enforcement sources. The two suspects arrested by the NYPD for throwing an IED after yelling Allahu Akbar at the protest in New York City are both believed to be US Citizens. Amir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi are in custody. The NYPD does confirm that it was a real ied. NBC reported that one of the suspects made A reference to isis while speaking to law enforcement and the FBI is now looking into all of this as potential terrorism. Yeah, no kidding. He says additionally that he's told by federal law enforcement sources that the New York City IED suspect Amir Balat's parents are both from Turkey and were naturalized US citizens in 2017, while Ibrahim Kuyumi's parents are both from Afghanistan. The mom was naturalized in 2009, the dad was naturalized in 2004. I don't think our immigration system's working, ladies and gentlemen, legal or otherwise. I don't think it's working. If it's producing terrorists like this and you have terrorists screaming al Akbar in the middle of the street throwing IEDs. Yeah, we've got problems, don't we? We really do. Now here is the New York City Police Chief, the police commissioner, talking about what exactly went down this weekend. This was in the very early hours as they were gathering information. Take a listen. Cut it.
NYPD Police Commissioner
At approximately 12:38pm, a counter protester identified as Amir Balat, an 18 year old man, lit and threw an ignited device toward the protest area, landing in the crosswalk of East 87th street and East End Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing flames and smoke as it traveled through the air before it struck a barrier and extinguished itself a few feet from police officers. Mr. Balat then ran southbound on East End Avenue toward 86th street and gets a second device from a man tentatively ID'd as Ibrahim Nick, 19 years old. Mr. Balat lights the device and starts running with it. He then drops the device on the west side of East End avenue between East 86th and East 87th streets. Officers immediately secure the area and they took both men into custody. This was all captured on NYPD Argus camera. The bomb squad responded and examined the devices. Based on preliminary examination and X ray imaging. The devices, which were a bit smaller than a football, appear to be a jar wrapped in black tape, importantly with nuts, bolts and screws, along with a hobby fuse that could be lit at this time, we do not yet know
Vince
whether they told us. Later on I saw Paul Morrow, who's great, he's over at Fox. He said that his sources are telling him that there was an explosive component as well, so that that fuse could have led to an explosion that would have maimed and killed people. If they were in the vicinity of this bomb, they really were setting out to murder. These, these terrorists were just absolutely disgraceful. Also disgraceful the way Zoran Mamdani, the mayor of New York, reacted to all of this. Listen, look at this. This is Zoran's X post about what went down this weekend. He said yesterday white supremacist Jake Lang organized a protest outside of Gracie Mansion rooted in bigotry and racism. White. What is white. What is white supremacy have to do with an Islamic terror attack? He said what followed was even more disturbing. Violence at a protest is never acceptable. The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of, of who we are. And then he thanks the nypd. I'm sorry, what? Why is this post about white supremacy? What does that have to do with Islamic terrorism? This is demented. From the mayor of New York City. Has New York City ever experienced Islamic terrorism? Yes. Yes is the answer. The most devastating Islamic terrorism in our nation's history. Now the mayor of New York is making excuses for it, covering it up, diminishing it. And he wasn't the only one. He had like entire news outlets dedicated to misleading about what the hell just happened in their city. NBC New York this weekend, multiple arrests made after suspicious devices were found outside of Gracie Mansion, home of Mayor Zoran Mamdani during anti Islam rally and counter protest. You see what NBC did? You see how demented this framing is? They made it seem like the suspicious devices were the result of an anti Islam rally. It's the people who were against the Muslims who were throwing bombs around. That's the way NBC reports it. This is a malicious recitation of the known details. That's, that's the NBC coverage. And they were in a London then. So that's NBC New York. These are the local outlets in New York. If you're a New Yorker, how would you even know what's going on? How about this one? Here's the New York Times. This is the, this is the paper of record for the city. It's supposed to be. Look at this New York Times headline. Smoking jars of metal and fuses thrown at protest near mayor's house. Six people were arrested after anti Islamic protesters led by the right wing activist Jake Lang clashed with counter protesters near Gracie Mansion. You see, clashed with counter protesters is kind of the smallest little clause of this sentence. It was the anti Islamic protesters led by the right wing activists. They threw. What is this? Smoking jars of metal and fuses. How about bombs? What. How much more information do you need to be like, yeah, that's a bomb, that's an ied. Hans Manke sharing this on X. Thank you to Hans Mankey for putting that up. He said, we've seen it all now, what any honest person would call an ied, the New York Times calls smoking jars of metal and fuses like it's crazy is just crazy. And Ari Fleischer put this well, this weekend, he said, you know, what we're witnessing right now is a species of, an ongoing species of an expression of left wing violence. You know, take this in. Don't underestimate what's going on in our country. And IED was just used in New York City against people who protested against Mamdani, against the people who are protesting against Mamdani. An IED on the streets in America. The left wing has a violence problem. Ra writes. It's time for everybody to recognize it, confront it, arrest those who engage in it, deport them and or put them in prison for a very long time, knowing how New York City works. It won't be long until the two leftists who did this will be back on the street, God forbid. But Ari's right. The left's got no problem. The left's got a big problem. They have an assassination culture that dominates the American left. And they have for far too long been getting away with it with little consequence. You've got to impose consequences. You want to put a stop to this, impose serious and lasting consequences on anybody who would even contemplate doing something this horrific. It's just terrible stuff. An IED attack in New York City by a couple of Muslim terrorists and the media is figuring out ways to blame white people in the right. That's the, the typical dog and pony show. I've got more details on all of it coming up today on the Vince Show. That's the big national radio show. You can check the vinshow.com for your local radio listings, which are great. Host: Vince Coglianese
Guest: Rep. Rick Crawford (R-AR), Chairman, House Intelligence Committee
Date: March 9, 2026
This episode centers on the most recent and aggressive push for the SAVE America Act, a sweeping piece of Republican-led legislation aiming to overhaul election integrity, women’s sports, and child protections. Vince Coglianese unpacks former President Trump’s enthusiastic endorsement, navigates the party’s internal legislative maneuvering, and lambasts Democrat opposition, focusing on Senate gridlock and filibuster strategy. Later, Vince hosts Congressman Rick Crawford for an in-depth national security update on the U.S.-Iran conflict (Operation Epic Fury), oil/gas repercussions, and emerging intelligence concerns including Havana Syndrome and UFO-related declassifications. The program closes with coverage of a terror incident in New York City and media/political reactions.
President Trump’s Position:
Trump declared he would refuse to sign any legislation until the SAVE America Act passes in full. He insists on a “go for the gold” version—voter ID/proof of citizenship mandates, drastic curtailment of mail-in ballots, bans on transgender athletes in women’s sports, and prohibitions on “mutilation” procedures for minors.
“I as president will not sign any other bills until this is passed. And not the watered down version. Go for the gold.”
— [03:25] Vince quoting Donald J. Trump
Bill’s Expansion:
What started as a voter integrity measure has swelled to encompass a conservative wishlist: election restrictions, women’s sports regulations, and a ban on gender-affirming care for minors.
Trump Responds Directly to His Base:
"This is a clear sign that he's seeing all your comments on Truth Social...that this is what we really want."
— [05:00] Vince
Chuck Schumer’s Critique:
Sen. Schumer denounced the legislation as “Jim Crow 2.0,” arguing it would disenfranchise tens of millions.
“‘If Trump is saying he won’t sign any bills until the SAVE Act is passed, then so be it. There will be total gridlock in the Senate. Senate Democrats will not pass the SAVE act under any circumstances.’”
— [07:10] Vince summarizing Schumer
Vince’s Rebuttal:
Vince paints SAVE America as "the single most important piece of civil rights legislation this century" ([08:02]), contending that the bill would only disenfranchise illegal voters—not citizens.
Historical Flip-Flop:
Vince highlights a clip of Schumer supporting voter ID in 1996:
“They can get jobs and benefits and break our laws because of fraud. You know would stop that? Photo ID identification.”
— [09:49] Chuck Schumer, 1996
Republican Whip Count:
Vince presents Mark Meadows’ inside tally on GOP senators for/against using the “speaking filibuster”:
Sen. John Barrasso’s Hedge:
Barrasso uses ambiguous language, sparking Vince's skepticism about true support for the “speaking filibuster.”
“That’s one way to do it. Members are having meetings right now to say, what’s the best way we can actually get this passed?... I am a full supporter.”
— [14:09] John Barrasso
"[That's] Washington speak for we're not doing it that way."
— [14:32] Vince
Mike Lee’s Urgency:
“So let’s give it a shot now...our ability to win a fair election may well depend on passage of the Save America Act.”
— [16:36] Mike Lee
Thom Tillis Critiques Stephen Miller:
Tillis calls Miller a problem and advocates for “quality over quantity” in deportations ([20:13]), prompting Vince to mock his constitutional knowledge and view on the White House–DHS relationship.
“He’s a big problem in this administration…But Noem is a Senate confirmed Cabinet member. She should have been independent. I believe that Markwayne [Mullin] will be independent…he’ll leverage law enforcement resources…to get things right.”
— [20:13] Thom Tillis
Concerns Over Markwayne Mullin:
Vince voices worry that Mullin may slacken Trump-style enforcement on immigration if he listens to “Thumbelina” Tillis.
Congressman Rick Crawford’s Briefing ([27:19–41:49])
Transparency & US Progress:
“Maybe one of the most, if not the most, transparent administrations...The precision of the US military is just unmatched.” — [27:25] Rep. Rick Crawford
Iranian Missile Capacity & US Strategy:
“We've gone in there in a very short span of time and reduced their launch frequency by some estimates as much as 90%...We’re taking out the archers, as opposed to the arrows.” — [29:46] Rep. Crawford
Oil Prices & Global Impact:
— [31:31] Rep. Crawford
Israeli Strikes on Tehran Oil Depots:
“We want to make sure…[we're creating] optimal [conditions] for the Iranian people to operate, so they can reclaim their country...If we are being indiscriminate in our targeting, that could create a problem.”
— [34:49] Rep. Crawford
Recent ‘60 Minutes’ Reporting & Ongoing Investigation:
“For the Biden administration to have essentially dismissed them as being crackpots or gold bricks…that’s false. These are legitimate concerns.”
— [36:29] Rep. Crawford
“Nothing that was presented to me rose to that level…But the president has higher clearance than I do…”
— [40:58] Rep. Crawford
Incident Recap:
Muslim terrorists threw IEDs at an anti-Islamic protest; NYPD arrested two suspects, both U.S. citizens with recent immigrant parents.
On-Scene Quote:
[Police radio as IED incident unfolds] “Stay back. Stay back, please.”
— [44:20] NYPD footage
Media & Political Spin:
Mayor Zoran Mamdani’s Response:
Deflects to “white supremacy” with no mention of Islamic terrorism.
“What is white supremacy [to do] with an Islamic terror attack?...This is demented.”
— [47:44] Vince
NBC/New York Times Coverage:
Downplays “IED” as “smoking jars of metal and fuses;” blames right-wing/protesters.
“How about bombs? How much more information do you need…?”
— [47:44] Vince
Ari Fleischer’s Commentary:
Ongoing problem of left-wing violence, media obfuscation, and lenient response from city authorities.
On Trump’s Priorities:
“[The SAVE America Act] supersedes everything. It must go to the front of the line.”
— [03:25] Trump, as quoted by Vince
GOP Infighting on Immigration:
"If I’m Markwayne Mullin right now, I want to establish as much distance as possible from Tom Bolina [Tillis]." — [22:57] Vince
Oil Market Context:
“When Joe Biden was in office… it was $5.07 a gallon. It was a lot higher even than it is right now...That was his policy that drove that price increase.”
— [34:09] Vince
The episode features Vince’s hallmark blend of populist advocacy, sharp sarcasm, and exasperation—especially towards political opponents and the media. Language is direct, partisan, and confrontational, keeping with the style of conservative talk radio.
