It was just so nice to be together. Everybody dressed so well. The pews were packed. It was wonderful. It was actually. It was totally, totally wonderful. And just a reminder that in the end, regardless of what happens, we win. We win. So, you know, keep cool, my babies. It's gonna be all right. There's a lot developed this weekend. A crazy message from the President of the United States on Sunday, Easter Sunday, where he threatened the Iranians. He said, we're gonna destroy you. And we're gonna get to that in just a moment. But I wanna start with an Easter miracle. And to help tell this story, I now turn to this clip of Kristen Welker from NBC's Meet the Press. Take a look.
B
In an extraordinary turn of events, the United States has rescued the second crew member who was in the US F15 fighter jet shot down over Iran Friday. President Trump texting me directly this morning. The rescue was an Easter miracle. The enemy was large and violent. The rescuers were brilliant, strong, decisive, and as cool as anyone can be. The Iranians thought they had him, but it wasn't even close. And remember, we got two, but couldn't talk about the first in that it would have highlighted that there was a second. Such a rescue has never happened before in so violent an enemy territory. It is usually not done because it is considered not doable. Such reserve. A great military like no other. Adding on truth social. Open the effing straight, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in hell.
A
I know that the stakes are very high, but there's something very funny about NBC having to read that on the air. Yes. Uh, we'll get to that message in a moment. But the President of the United States sharing with Kristen Welker and a lot of other reporters this weekend, he was very chatty this weekend talking to a lot of these reporters about the rescue of these downed F15 crew members. On Friday, the Iranians shoot down an American F15. And we moved very quickly, the American military moved very quickly to rescue the pilot. But what was left was to get that second crew member and to rescue him. He was. He's a weapons systems officer, a colonel, and he disappeared into the Iranian mountains on Friday. He kind of, for his own safety. He made an escape. They say he walked a tremendous distance, injured, and was able to hide in a crevice in the mountains until the CIA was able to locate him. And as a result, we sent in Special Forces, a massive, massive deployment just to rescue him, which is the appropriate response to save an American life. And the end of this story is a good one, that we rescued him. He's out alive, and the President says he's doing well. He did post to Truth Social. We got him. We got him, he said. My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States military pulled off one of the most daring search and rescue operations in US History for one of our incredible crew member officers, who also happens to be a highly respected colonel and who I'm thrilled to let you know is now safe and sound. This brave warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone because his commander in chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow war fighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day and diligently planning for his rescue. In my direction, the US Military sent dozens of aircraft armed with the most lethal weapons in the world to retrieve him. He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine. The miraculous search and rescue operation comes in addition to a successful rescue of another brave pilot yesterday, which we did not confirm because we did not want to jeopardize, jeopardize our second rescue operation. This is the first time in military memory that two US Pilots have been rescued separately deep in enemy territory. We will never leave an American war fighter behind. The President proud of this and sending a message to the Iranians that we can do this. We can do this. You think you can stop us? You can. We can come right into your country and we can pick up our guys, we can get them out, and we can exert our will on you at any moment. Just another reminder of that as these Americans are rescued. A lot of people noticed the timing of it. It was Good Friday that this plane goes down. It was Easter Sunday that this colonel was rescued. Amazing story. And the President says happy Easter to all on that message. And as he said to Kristen Welker, it truly was an Easter miracle. And speaking of the Easter theme here, apparently the weapons system officer spoke over the radio as he was ejecting from the aircraft. And he said, God is good. God is good. Axios had some of the reporting here. They said Trump said the. The headline is Trump says US feared Iran trapped during F15 crew rescue. In the message here, they said Trump said the weapon system officer gave a short, unusual message over his radio. Quote, power be to God. But the specific quote, according to US Defense official, was that the exact phrase was God is good. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. War Secretary Hegseth used the phrase God is good in an ex post on Sunday morning as well. So that's God is good. That's the message. An Easter message is he's ejecting from this airplane shot down over Iran, not certain of what comes next other than his belief in God. They say he's a religious man, this colonel. And my guess is he spent quite a bit of time in prayer over those three days as he was moving in the Iranian mountains and looking for a safe place to wait until he was rescued by American forces. How did this go down? The New York Times had a report this weekend that it was the CIA that helped locate this colonel. They said the CIA found him hiding on an Iranian ridgeline. He said that CIA, who traditionally assists with efforts to rescue piles trapped behind enemy lines, had developed a deception plan to buy time to find the airmen by keeping the Iranians away from where he might be, according to a senior administration official. The official and others spoke under the condition of anonymity to discuss this. While US Officials did not initially know exactly where the weapons officer was, they knew he had moved from where his ejection seat had hit the ground. They also knew he was injured, adding to the urgency of the search. It's unclear exactly what the deception plan involved or how successful it was, but they were able to track this guy. They say in the report here that all Air Force fighter pilots and weapons officers are equipped with a beacon and a secure communication device for coordinating with rescuers. But airmen are trained not to signal their location constantly and to restrict the use of the beacon in case enemy forces can also track its location. A senior administration official declined to describe exactly what piece of technology the CIA used to locate the airmen, but said the equipment used was unique to the agency. Well, isn't this nice? A nice report about the CIA, that the CIA was used for good here to rescue a great American pilot, to get him out of Iranian territory, out of the clutches of the enemy. Instead of the CIA being used a part of a deep. As a part of a deep state operation to target Americans and spy on us. What a nice turn of events. Maybe it takes a new president. Maybe that's what the. Maybe that's the explanation for all of this J.D. vance also noticed the Easter theme here. He said one of the it's one of the most amazing military operations ever. Congratulations to everyone whose skill and bravery made it possible. God bless you all and Happy Easter. And it's not just limited to guys who are on our side who are saying good things about what the military did here. Also, it's Obama's DHS secretary of all people. Jeh Johnson was on television this weekend saying this was more complicated than the bin Laden raid and it was a huge success. Watch
C
this. This operation for the first pilot and the second pilot, so remarkable exercise, demonstration of US Military courage, technology, power. I would encourage the president and the Secretary of Defense, consistent with operational security, share as much of that with the American public so that the American public can appreciate, appreciate what goes into this kind of operation is more complicated than the bin Laden operation, for example.
A
Wow.
C
I'm not sure any of that saying
A
something, wow, that's saying something, said Kristen Welker. So is that Kristen. So is that. That's saying something. So there you go. So even Jeh Johnson thinks it was an amazing thing. And as Jeh Johnson just said, he's like, you know, I encourage the president to talk a little bit more about this, just so the American people get a sense of how impressive this whole thing was. I've got good news for you, Jay. President Trump is set to hold a 1pm press conference today. He announced this on Truth Social this weekend. For those of you, if this is, if you're listening to this podcast before 1:00pm Good news. 1:00pm Press conference with President Trump today Eastern time. He said that it was an amazing show of bravery and talent by all. I'll be holding a news conference with the military at the Oval Office on Monday at 1pm God bless our great military warriors. And now there's been an update since the president posted this. We just, we got an update from Caroline Levitt last night that she said by popular demand, this press conference has been moved to the press briefing room. So it's not going to be in the Oval Office. Instead, they're going to open it up to a wider, a wider group of reporters who now have a chance to talk to the President of the United States. We'll see what they make of that today. But a big press conference with the president today as he talks about this and he's got a lot to talk about. It's not just the epic rescue of this crew. It's also the fact that Iran is on the clock. They're on the clock. Now, and there's not much time left. Here's the big message from the President of the United States this weekend. This is the message that might have caught your attention. First thing, easter Sunday morning, 8:03 in the morning, Eastern time. The President saying Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day all wrapped up in one in Iran, there will be nothing like it. Open the fucking straight, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in hell. Just watch. Praise be to Allah. President Donald J. Trump. Holy. A banger. To start the morning on a Sunday. So there's the President of the United States. I don't know how many. Did you guys receive messages this weekend? Did anyone else get this? I was getting text messages. Did you see the President's messages? I was at. Family members were chatting with me. We were just. I was doing Easter phone calls, calling people and they were. But by the way, did you see the President's message? This. Everyone's chattering about this. My guess is in Iran, they're chattering about this big time. Right now. There's a lot to make here. There's two things that. Well, three things stand out. One, the bombing of infrastructure, as the President promises that's coming. Power plants and bridges all wrapped up in one. In Iran, there will be nothing like it. Open the fucking strait. That's the, that's the curse word on Easter Sunday morning. That's the one that goes, whoa. You pause and you're like, whoa. Holy. Ok, he means it. And then the Praise be to Allah. Just to be clear, in case you happen to be confused, for some, for some reason, President Trump is not Muslim. That's not what this. This is not. This is. That's not what this is. He's. He's telling them, you can praise whatever God you feel like. You can, you can call out, you are going to get blown up. So you'd better make a deal. You'd better make a deal. This is a message to the Iranians right here from the President of the United States. And I would not question his seriousness. Not for a moment. Not for a moment. In fact, take a look. Here's the former CENTCOM commander. This is General Frank McKenzie saying this weekend the Iranians better take him seriously. Here, cut three. Watch this. In our last 30 seconds or so here, General, bottom line this, the President says two to three weeks is all
D
that it's going to take.
A
Would you agree with that? Is it going to take longer?
E
You know, I always hesitate to put time on a, to put a timeline on a military operation like this. But I would say the Iranians would be very well served to listen to President Trump when he says he's going to hit him because he's proven that he's willing to do that. So that's the lesson I would learn from his most recent pronouncement and from actually what we've done in the war to this date. If the President, president says we're going to do something, we're probably going to do it. And it probably is good time for the Iranian leadership to take note of that fact.
A
In that post, the President says Tuesday. Tuesday. What does he mean by Tuesday? Well, specifically, the president said Tuesday, 8 o' clock p.m. eastern Time. 8pm Eastern Time. If you, if you want to run that time through the Google machine to get an answer as to what time in Iran that'll be, you can, but you don't have to because I already did the work for you. You. It's 3:30am Wednesday morning in Tehran. 3:30 in the morning, Wednesday in Tehran. That country so backwards they operate on half hour intervals. It's 8:00pm Eastern Time, 3:30am Tehran Time. That's the plan. That's the plan. And the President says he's going to blow up bridges and power plants. If they'd like to avoid that fate, they can make a deal. They can make a deal. Now, the Iranian leadership so far, insofar as there is any sort of unified Iranian leadership, they're, they're spazzing out about all of this right now. The, the guy who runs the parliament, who at one point it was reported that he was on at the negotiating table. His name is Muhammad Bagger. Is it? Oh, Gali Bath. It's Galibaf. Galibaf. Here's what he said on X this weekend. He said, you reckless moves are dragging the United States into a living hell for every single family. And our whole region's going to burn because you insist on following Netanyahu's commands. Make no mistake, you won't gain anything through war crimes. The only real solution is respecting the rights of the Iranian people and ending this dangerous game. Well, the President has operated throughout this by respecting the rights of the Iranian people. In fact, the President has resisted striking infrastructure targets in Iran because he wants the Iranian people to have a country left after all of this is over. He's trying to stop the terror threat and he wants the Strait of Hormuz to go unmolested. That's, these are very simple things that he's requesting. And yet the Iranian regime is acting like lunatics until the bloody end. Now, is that the end of this story? That they're just going to get bombed? Not necessarily. There's a very high stakes negotiation going on right now. A very high stakes negotiation. Axios reports this morning that Iran mediators, that would be the United States here talking to Iran are making a last ditch push for a 45 day cease fire right now that could lead to a permanent end of the war, according to four US Israeli and regional sources with knowledge of the talks. The sources said the chances for reaching a partial deal over the next 48 hours are slim. Slim. But this last ditch effort is the only chance to prevent a dramatic escalation in the war that will include massive strikes on Iranian civilian infrastructure and a retaliation against energy and water facilities in the Gulf states. In the Gulf states, President Trump told Axios on Sunday one of his many phone calls with reporters this weekend. Very accessible President. The US Is in deep negotiations with Iran and that a deal can be reached before his deadline expires Tuesday night. Quote, there's a good chance. But if they don't make a deal, I am blowing up everything. If they don't make a deal, I'm blowing up everything. How soon can all of this end? The president talked to another reporter this weekend about that. I've got updates for you on that subject. We have a lot to get to. Also, we'll be joined today by former Virginia Governor George Allen. He's going to be with us coming up. Can't wait to talk to him because he's trying to fight to prevent Democrats from rigging elections in the Commonwealth and from stealing the entire House of Representatives. We've got a lot to get to. Great to have you here on Easter Monday. It's nice to talk to you as always. Okay. Let me thank one of the great sponsors who keep all of this going. All right, let's see, we've got the President's timeline here. So what's the plan? What are we going to do? Well, he spoke to yet another reporter this weekend, Rachel Scott over at abc. She had ABC these days? Yeah, she's at abc. She said she spoke with President Trump this weekend. He told me the conflict should be over in days, not weeks. But if no deal is made, he's blowing up the whole country with very little off the table. What does she, she wrote here? If happens, it happens. If happened what? If it happens, it happens. And if it doesn't, we're blowing up the whole country, he said. I asked if there's anything off limits. Very little, he said. Additionally, I asked the President if his two to three week timeline still holds. He said, quote, it should be days, not weeks. It should be wrapped up in days because no sane group of people could stand the punishment that's going to rain down on them if it's not. I think the, I think the key phrase here is no sane group of people. It really comes down to how insane is the regime, how insane are these people? The ones who are left, the ones who are still alive, how insane are they? The President said this should be over in days. If they were Sane, well, we'll see. But he wants to get this thing done and over with quickly. He wants to settle up. That's been his goal throughout all of this. He wants to settle up. And it's hard to blame him. It's hard to blame him. We don't want to imperil any more American lives. We don't want to have a situation where we've got guys who are going down in F15s who have to be rescued with massive military operations to get them out of there. What we want is to stop the Iranian nuclear threat. And we want the Strait of Hormuz to be open. And that's why the President has been saying over and over, he's like, look, we just need the international community to step up. Because the truth is we don't even need to manage the strait. Let other people manage it. We've got American energy. We'll get it up and running and we'll be fine. The rest of you, not so much. You better get the Strait of Hormuz open. The President working very hard to do those things. So we'll bring you updates as we get them. But the next, I'd keep my eyes open. This next 48 hours is going to be very interesting. And whether or not Iran even comes to the table to try and buy some time, as the President's deadline is again, That's Tuesday night, 8:00pm Eastern time. If there is no deal, the bombing begins, the bombing begins. So we'll keep an eye on that. Also, things to keep an eye on. Last Friday, I was talking to you about Harmeet Dillon among the people who I think would be a perfectly good candidate to be the President's next Attorney General. There's a report out from the Daily Wire's great Mary Margaret Olihan this weekend that Harmony Dillon is destined for a promotion, but it is not to the Attorney General of the United States. Instead, according to Mary Margaret, it'll be to the third highest position in the Justice Department. Her scoop is this. President Trump plans to nominate Harmeet Dillon to be the Justice Department's Associate Attorney General. This week. This week. Associate Attorney General. Remember, there's the Attorney General of the United States, then there's the Deputy Attorney General. That's number two. So it's been bondi blanche. And now Harmony Dhillon will be promoted to Associate Attorney General. If the President decides to do that. It seems. According to Mary Margaret, who's a very trustworthy reporter, that seems very likely. Although I'll caution you, the one thing I'll Always caution you, even if that is President Trump's intention, it can change at any moment. It can change. I've had this, I've been, I've, I've been in this position before where I've, I knew that the President was gonna nominate somebody by his own judgment, you know, and then he changed his judgment at the last minute and then I had to be like, well, all right, well, my last report was wrong because the President changed his mind. He can change his mind. That's true. Mary Margaret says that Stanley Woodward, who held that position, apparently signals his resignation on Saturday. So we'll, we'll keep our eyes on that. But Harmony Dillon, that's great news because Harmony Dillon, you know, wherever she ends up, it's good that we have her as a weapon working for us in the United States Department of Justice. It's been, it's been great to see her there at the Civil Rights Division. And now she'll be even more capable in the third highest ranking position in, at the United States Department of Justice. Really, really, really great news. And we'll keep our eyes on who the President picks to be Attorney General. There was some chatter this weekend that he may keep Todd Blanche in the role full time. We'll see. We'll see. He got the guy already cleared Senate confirmation to be the deputy, so maybe I'll clear Senate confirmation again to stay in the. We'll keep an eye on that. And then one more thing for you, actually, I'll hold on to this. I, I'm going to tell you about some left wing conspiracy theories from the weekend that were totally crazy. We'll get to them coming up here in a few minutes. But I want to get to what's going on in Virginia with our guest here in just a moment. I want to thank two great sponsors. He's a part of an operation called no Gerrymandering virginia. The website nojerrymanderingva.org you can help support the cause there. Governor Allen, great to see you again, sir. Nice to have you with us today.
D
Well, good Easter Monday morning with you, Vince, and thank you for having me on and trying to get the word out that here in the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence, in Virginia, which is a cradle of American liberty, we're going to stand strong against these monarchical elitists out of New York, D.C. and California from rigging election districts. We need to preserve fair, honest, representative democracy. And what they're proposing is everything from it from being the best in the country with fair districts to really if this gets through the worst and disenfranchising voters.
A
You know, when we talk about this, I've talked about this at length, but just to give people an impression of this, how brazen is this election rigging operation when people say, when you use the word election rigging to describe what happens in Virginia here, we're not using that lightly, are we, Governor?
D
No, we're not. Presently in Virginia, we have fair maps and there are six Democrats out of our 11, five Republicans. Abigail Spanberger in her governor's race actually carried seven, seven of the or more, actually eight, eight of the districts. And so if you, if you rig elections the way they're trying to do this, taking for example, the Shenandoah Valley, which presently has been Klein as a congressman. In the Shenandoah Valley, communities of similar interest up and down Interstate 81 on the west side of the Blue Ridge, they are divided five different ways. And you have places like Buffalo Gap that are thrown in with Arlington. Then you have all these rural areas over by the Northern Neck Peninsula, Middle Peninsula by the Chesapeake Bay. These are all farm communities. They're going to be taken in by, and dominated by Northern Virginia. They're suburbs of Richmond east and also north and west of the city of Richmond. And they're thrown in with Northern Virginia. And so this is. This is. The densely populated Northern Virginia is going to have five of the 11 districts, and they're going to, again, squelch the votes and the voices of people in rural areas. In fact, I want to commend the Virginia Farm Bureau. They have come out against this because they know this is harmful to the interests of their members in rural areas. And so this is just an abomination. It wasn't something that Abigail Spanberger ran on. In fact, she at one time, not too long ago, said that gerrymandering was detrimental to democracy. She was right on principle then. But now they're switching around and they're spending over $40 million trying to and sucker Virginians into giving up their. Their voices.
A
The ballot referendum, the wording of the ballot referendum is asking voters whether or not they want to, quote, restore fairness to elections. That's the phrasing. And so if you don't know anything about this vote and you walk into the ballot box and you see that language and you say, I want to restore fairness to elections. It's a push poll. We, in politics, we refer to that as push polling. And. And yet it's a lie. It's not restoring fairness. It's stripping fairness from elections. How does ballot language like that get allowed in the first place?
D
Well, because the Democrats have complete control of the House, delegates, the state Senate, and Governor Spanberger could have actually amended that to say that, Wait a second. This. This is not accurate, impartial, neutral language. In fact, it's. And it's. Vince, thanks for bringing this up, because this is part of the whole deception and deceitfulness of this campaign. It's not rest. We have fairness. And it's not just me saying this. There's a group called the Princeton Redistricting Project, and they rate and grade every state as far as their districting. And Virginia is one of four states that has an A grade, as does Arizona and just a couple others. And so we have fair districts right now. They're compact, contiguous communities of similar interests. In the event that this proposal passes, it's destroying. It's not restoring. It is destroying fair representation, and it is harming the people of Virginia under the guise that, well, gosh, we don't like what Texas did and we don't like what Missouri did. I don't like what Texas did or Missouri, North Carolina or California. I like to look at the people, the leaders who actually stuck to principle in Indiana and South Carolina and Kansas, Kentucky, New Hampshire, and most famous was the Indiana crew that said no, we're not going to do this abnormal extreme mid decade gerrymandering. And they took a lot of heat for it, but they stuck to principle. And there's a lot of hypocrisy and situational principles these days. And so Virginia though is different than all these states in that just A little over five years ago, 66% of the voters in 2020 voted to take this redistricting out of the hands of conniving self interested politicians and say that an independent bipartisan commission will decide districts. And so this, ours is different than other states and so we have a higher standard. And that's why they're trying to amend the Constitution which was supported bipartisanly across all of Virginia just a few years ago. And they're trying to succor them or inveigle them into saying, oh, we're going to suspend it for temporarily, it's six years. Suspending fair elections for six years for Congress. Six years. Six years is an entire U.S. senator's term.
A
And it won't be and it won't be temporary. They're lying about that. They intend to make it permanent. And so, and let me just register that I we should agree to disagree on what happened in Texas and Indiana because I think what Texas did was heroic. And the reason I say that and the reason I take these issues so differently, I don't think it's a violent democracy, is because I think the left has so many ill gotten seats across our country right now that you have to find ways to fight back against them. I mean just with the amount of illegal aliens they've allowed to pour into the country and then they pad their congressional district numbers using that. That's an attract, that's an abomination. You remember governor, the 2020 census overcounted Democrat states dramatically and undercounted Republican states dramatically. As a result, Democrats have ill gotten power in the House.
D
Vince, I understand all that and the way to solve that is in the next census. In the next census make sure that we are properly counting the people in our country and not whether one's illegal or legal. The illegal should not be counted as part of the census. That's the way that California would be losing even more seats if they didn't count illegal immigrants or illegal residents in their state. So all that should be solved in my view. We disagree on this. I think that the remedy is in the next census, not in this, I think, abnormal mid decade redistricting and gerrymandering. But that's the excuse that the Democrats are using here in Virginia. I'm not going to say. Well, I don't want to say what their tactics are because they don't want to repeat what the enemy or the opposition says. But there's no reason with integrity for anyone, especially in Virginia, to say that this ought to be done and rushed through. This is not the proper way to amend the Constitution. In Virginia. They ran this through just a couple days before final voting. In Virginia, we don't have Election Day. We have election season for 45 days.
A
Yes.
D
There wasn't anybody running for statewide office or the House of Delegates last year that said, hey, elect me and we're going to. Jerry. Rig districts so that there's only 9% of conservative representation in Congress. In Virginia, 92 or 91% will be liberal Democrats. There was. And so they're trying to ram this through. There's other constitutional amendments that are properly being done in Virginia. You may like them or dislike them, but on things of marriage equality, restoring voting rights for convicted felons, and abortion. Oh, abortion, yeah, reproductive rights, as they call it now, all the people running last year, Vince, and you cover this, obviously the Democrats are running on that. And Republicans were saying like or dislike them. But those constitutional amendments are on the ballot next November because they passed again after the election, the exact same form. They're on the ballot in November. They're not getting ramped through on April 21. No one's thinking of elections. It's not normal, it's abnormal. And they're, and they're trying to ram this.
A
They're trying to rig it now so that they can rig the November elections.
D
Right.
A
So let's, let's talk about the amount of money that's being put into this right now. There's a massive effort by Democrats at the national level to rig these elections. The implications are really clear. If they rig Virginia, they can steal the entire House of Representatives. The margins are so. Are so thin in the House that just stealing a couple of seats in Virginia is enough to steal the entire House of Representatives. So in light of that, I'm looking at Hakeem Jeffries, I think, just spent something like $20 million. He directed $20 million into Virginia for this election rigging operation. Barack Obama's face is all over advertising right now in Virginia. And Abigail Spanberger, the governor, is pushing this talk about that effort by Democrats nationally.
D
Well, they're now up to $40 million in it. And that's what I said earlier on, that this money's coming from D.C. and New York and California, piling it in. And if they can steal or cheat to get four additional seats out of Virginia by disenfranchising people in rural areas and the Hampton Roads Tidewater area goes from three to two with one added to Northern Virginia. They look at it as business proposition. If they had to beat Jen Kiggins in the 2nd district or had to beat Rob Whitman in the 1st congressional district by not in fair districts, it would cost them hundreds of millions of dollars. So they look at it as a bargain to be able to cheat with this. What this evinces to me, Vince, is that any party that needs to cheat to win elections must not have a whole heck of a lot of confidence in the quality of their candidates or the popularity of their agenda.
A
Right. I totally agree. I totally.
D
They have to do this.
A
So what are Republicans?
D
Have a debate. I actually, Vince, I've invited Governor Spanberger first to three debates because none of this was discussed during the last campaign. That's being rushed through. People aren't aware of how radically significantly changed these districts are. Then just Friday, I said, all right, let's just do one virtual debate. It's like your show, the Vince show. How the heck we'll get. We'll get Corey to produce it. But regardless, she could pick the moderator, pick the time. She could sit in the governor's office, she could sit in the governor's mansion, have a one hour televised debate on this issue. That's what leaders with integrity do and respect.
A
I would gladly, I would gladly moderate that. In fact, I would welcome some lefty podcaster if they wanted to join us and the four of us could all talk about it. I'm perfectly fine with that. But I think this would be a worthwhile conversation. But I don't think she wants to have it at all. I don't think she's interested in a real conversation on this subject because her record is so clearly hypocritical on it. I mean, she came out last year and said she was against this and now she's all for it.
D
Yeah, it was the first action of the General Assembly. They had their priorities talking about affordability. The first thing they did right out of the box is $5 million to put, you know, because you got. It costs money to run an election and put forward this, this gerrymandering scheme. And so that was their top priority. Is to disenfranchise people in suburban and rural areas to the advantage of self dealing politicians, which is exactly contrary to what Virginians wanted just a few years ago. I think that's a good idea. Although I said as a moderator, Vince, I think you and another say a liberal would be fine. But I told her, I said she could pick the moderator, she can pick the most liberal moderator she wants. I care about the facts and would simply ask what's unfair about our current districts. And the answer to that is nothing. These are very fair districts. And so why are you doing this? Why are you disagreeing?
A
No, that's right. That's right. I don't suspect she'll take you up on the offer, but she should. Governor, tell me about Republicans. Obviously you're fighting. I'm grateful for that. There are Republicans who are in this fight. I know Governor Glenn Youngkin is also getting involved in doing some campaigning to try and get people to vote no here, which is good. They have until April 21st, by the way. That's this month. Everybody, if you're in Virginia, vote no, go to the ballot, go to the polls and vote no on this. What are Republicans doing though? You just talked about $40 million in Democrat money. Are you seeing any seriousness about this? I've seen some reporting to suggest that Republicans feel like this is a fait accompli, that it's over, we're probably going to lose it anyway. Let's keep our powder dry, save the money for November. I think that's unwise. Are you seeing money come into the state right now?
D
Not enough and nowhere near as much as the Democrats are putting in our group. Our no gerrymandering Virginia group is a bipartisan group. One of them is Brian Cannon who went around. He's a Democrat activist, leader for Fair Elections. He and I went all over Virginia persuading Republicans and Democrats everywhere from Bristol to Northern Virginia to Tidewater for the constitutional amendment. Another is Chap Peterson from Fairfax, good principled Democrat who got knocked out by the way in a primary because he actually objected to the excessive lockdowns of Governor Northam during the pandemic and shutting down businesses and caging people. So we're bipartisan now. There's more of a pure Republican group, the Fair Major Maps group. Jason Meres, our former attorney general, is going all over Virginia. John Reed's going all over Tim Anderson. It's good that Governor Youngkin is scheduled in the next week or so to get on the campaign trail. The Republicans are not as far I'M going to say this, Vince. Our group doesn't raise as much money because we're bipartisan, but we, we still are running digital ads and we're trying to get after the independent voters and some of the reasonable Democrats as well as, obviously, Republicans. And to win this, it's going to take a vassal uprising, these monarchical elitists out of D.C. they got tons of money, and so this is going to have to be a vassal uprising to win. And the polls show it's very, very close. The world's controlled by those who show up. And I've said, you know, unlike our war of independence or secession from
C
the
D
British monarchy, there's not enough French fleet to help it. We're going to have to win it on our own.
A
I will add one more note and you know, about the politics of all this, Governor Allen, which is the role that President Trump might play in this fight. My suspicion is that the White House is very attuned to this battle, but they're contemplating the unique nature of Virginia voters because the last thing that President Trump wants to do is to whip left wing voters in Virginia into a frenzy to get them to show up and rig the elections. So they're probably watching this a little bit from a distance, but very concerned about how this plays out and they don't want to imperil it. I think that might be the way to put this.
D
Yeah, I can understand that. But there are the RNC and the Republican Congressional Committees and, and there's pro Trump groups.
A
Yes.
D
They're spending millions of dollars against the Republicans in Indiana and it would be great to get more ammunition. They're not going to give money to us because, because of what I said just in the midst of this campaign.
A
Right.
D
This interview, I should say in this podcast about Texas and commending Indiana. So that's my views are contrary to theirs, but as far as the Fair Maps group and others, I think you could fund them. Otherwise, we just don't have the ammunition. But we have the truth. We have the issue. And we just need to be able to counter the deceptive, deceitful ads that have been running constantly for over a month from these outside groups in Virginia.
A
Yeah. All right. Well, stay in the fight. I mean, I think the biggest thing is just keep making people aware. They need to get their butts out and vote. They need to vote. No aggressively.
D
Governor Allen, Vince, let me thank you. This is how we have to do it. It's with folks like you that people listen to who people respect and motivate folks to get out and to preserve representative democracy in our commonwealth.
A
Well, sir, thank you. Thank you for coming on. And if Governor Spanberger ever takes you up on that offer, if you need my help, I'd be happy to be involved in moderating again the vote. The. The website is no gerrymandering. VA.org the former governor of Virginia, George Allen. Thank you, sir.
D
Thank you, Vince. Adios.
A
All right. Adios. There he is. All right. Hey, let's see here. I'm just keeping an eye on chat. What was it? Somebody. There was some people. There was some activity on chat I wanted to get to. Not everybody loved Governor Allen. That's a fuck. That's okay. You don't have to love Governor Allen. You don't have to love his position. You don't have to agree with him on everything. You know what I like? I just like that we've got people who are fighting in Virginia. And the truth is, you heard Governor Allen say it a second ago that most of this is grassroots energized. Most of this is grassroots energized. The fact that, like. Let me just go over the data again. If you look at the current congressional districts in Virginia right now, if you look at them right now, the currently constituted six, five maps in the five Republican congressional districts, the early turnout is higher than in the 6 Democratic National District congressional districts. That's because grassroots Republicans are showing up to the polls like crazy. That's what's happening right now. The goal is to keep the energy. This is why I'm not going to stop mentioning this. I do this at my own cost, by the way, because, like, I don't think the most interesting topic to the whole audience across the whole country is going to be the Virginia election every single day. But I can't help but mention it because the stakes are so freaking high. So if you don't want to hear about this, well, then go somewhere else because I'm going to talk about this until April 21st. We're going to have to bring it up on a routine basis because we need the grassroots energy. Governor Allen just laid it out. We don't even have money coming in from the Republican big money interests. These guys claim they're keeping their powder dry. They're saving it for November. I don't know what they're saving it for. My thing is this. Do you or do you not know what time it is in our country? What time do we have left? Why are you sitting on your gold when you're not going to be able to use it at all. It's so crazy. So now's the time. Now's the time. Fight for your country and vote no. This is. This is right now, the recourse we have. It's been left in the hands of the people. And if you judge the capacity of the people to win based on the 2024 election, you know it's achievable. Last year, as the President said, it was too big to rig. Actually, two years ago now, I can't believe it's 2026, two years ago, too big to rig. You can do that again in Virginia. We need to make the vote too big to allow the Democrats to rig
D
it,
A
because the rigging that they're undertaking right now is not for some future election far away that we don't have to think about. It's for this year's midterms. If we face plant in Virginia, Democrats are very likely to steal all of it. And what do they do when they have the United States House of Representatives? They impeach Trump. They freeze up the nation's agenda. They threaten ICE at levels that we haven't seen yet. They bring us deeper into chaos. These people are not interested in order, they're interested in chaos. And if you want to be honest about the difference between order and chaos, the truth is that's a spiritual war. What side are you going to take in that spiritual war? What role are you going to play in saving your country? You know, in electoral politics, nagging works. I don't know if you know this, but nagging works. If you're not in Virginia, but you know somebody who is, you should be texting them relentlessly. Just check in with them. Did you vote yet? Oh, good to hear from you. Did you vote yet? Happy Easter. Did you vote yet? Just keep it going. We need everybody to show up, and we need the truth out there. We need the truth out there. We are looking at a wall of lies that we need to blast through. I told you, early on in this process, when the early votes started in Virginia, I got a message from one of our listeners who said her poor mother's in Virginia and went to the early vote, not realizing what the ballot initiative was truly about. She read the ballot language and she voted yes because she thought she was doing something on behalf of her country. She was misled. Not shocking. Given the wall of lies that was confronting her, we have a moral obligation to tell the truth loudly and relentlessly. We have to. Otherwise, they'll win. They'll win with their wall of lies. Stay in the fight. Stay in the fight. This is a very, very big year, and the future of our country very much depends on it. This is why I'm so insistent about Virginia. And I do disagree with the governor about Indiana. I thought Indiana was a totally wasted opportunity to get some of that ground back. That's why we fought so hard about the Indiana thing. I'm perfectly happy with Turning Point USA and the rest of these guys spending money to defeat the people who failed us in Indiana. Think that's reasonable? I think that's a good way to remind Republicans of what time it is. Our country is running out of it. So let's fight for it. And let me end today. I've got. I've got some Easter messages for you, including from space. But let me just end today with the reminder that I began with this morning, which is that if you truly believe in the wonders of the Resurrection, you know that in the end, we do win. We do win. But we have to do it under our own power. We have to actually contribute to that victory. We have to. That's our calling. And speaking of Easter messages, I'll get to left wing lies coming up on tomorrow's episode and every other episode going forward. We've got a lot of those. The left was making up lies about President Trump being sick this weekend. They said he was. I think he was hospitalized. He wasn't hospitalized. He was talking to every single reporter on planet Earth this weekend about his plans in Iran negotiating with those psycho Iranians. But speaking of Easter messages, there are two that I want to share with you. I'll start with one from space. This one comes to us from astronaut Victor Glover from space, talking about his perspective outside of our planet on this Easter weekend. Take a look at this.
F
These observances are important. And as we are so far from Earth and looking at, you know, the beauty of creation, I think for me, one of the really important personal perspectives that I have up here is I can really see Earth as one thing. And, you know, when I read the Bible and I look at all of the amazing things that were done for us who were created, it's, you have this amazing place, this spaceship. You guys are talking to us because we're in a spaceship really far from Earth, but you're on a spaceship called Earth that was created to give us a place to live in the universe, in the cosmos. Maybe the distance we are from you makes you think what we're doing is special, but we're the same distance from you. And I'm Trying to tell you, just trust me. You are special in all of this emptiness. This is a whole bunch of nothing, this thing we call the universe. You have this oasis, this beautiful place that we get to exist together. I think as we go into Easter Sunday, thinking about, you know, all the cultures all around the world, whether you celebrate it or not, whether you believe in God or not, this is an opportunity for us to remember where we are, who we are, and that we are the same thing, and that we got to get through this together.
A
What a perspective. Well, for someone who didn't have anything prepared, that was. That was really quite extraordinary. What a perspective from space. Looking upon the gift of this creation, from outside of it and realizing, that's the spaceship. I want to be on that one, that one. Suddenly, I wasn't so jealous that they were looking at us from space. Suddenly, I was really grateful to be here and not stuck in a capsule floating in nothingness. And he was right. He referred to it as God's creation. This is God's creation for us. And that brings me to this message from the President of the United States. My wife asked me this weekend. She said, was that President Trump's only Easter message, the one where he said he was going to blow up the Iranians on Easter Sunday morning? And I said, no, it was not. Here's the President's Easter message this weekend. Take a look at this. It's a wonderful one.
G
This Holy Week, I'm proud to join with Christians across the country and around the world to celebrate the most glorious miracle in all of time, the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In his life, Christ displayed true humility. In his death, he modeled true love. And in his resurrection from the tomb, he proved that even death itself will not silence those who place their trust in Almighty God, as it says in Gospel of John. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son. For whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Eternal life. Such beautiful words. This Easter, millions of Christians all over the globe will be reminded that because of what Jesus did on the cross, all of us can live every day with hope in God's promise, knowing that in the end, evil and wickedness will not prevail. In this spirit of joy and renewal, this Easter, we also celebrate the extraordinary resurrection of faith and religion in America. As I have often said, to be a great nation, you must have religion and you must have God. In churches across the nation on Sunday through, the pews will be fuller, younger, and more faithful than they have at any time in many, many years. Religion is growing again in our country for the first time in decades. Happy Easter to all. May God bless you. May God bless the United States of America. Our country is doing so well like never before. Thank you.
