Thank you for that very much. Hey, today we're gonna dive into what the heck is going on in the world. A bunch of things here. One of them right up front is that the left decided to use acts of terrorism to get Jimmy Kimmel back on the air, and then Disney folded like a house of cards. We'll get into the sequence of events that led to all of this idiocy. It's coming up on the program. Speaking of idiocy, Kamala Harris is making the rounds, and it has me cracking up. It's really. It's really funny. And Matt Van Swaold stops by the program today. He was on recently, and he's wonderful. He's so good. We'll talk to him. At one point, he was led astray. He was a lefty. And then he came to see the truth, which is that the left lies all the time, and that he should be with us on the right. And he is now. So we'll discuss it and so much more, all ahead on this edition of. Vince, great to have you with us today. Hey, and thanks for gently touching that like button. Let me tell you about what's going on with our sponsors. We've got great sponsors. American financing is wonderful, and the Fed has finally dropped interest rates. That is great news for American homeowners. Expenses have been a major burden on families, and wages are flat. Prices keep climbing. And for many, the only way to make ends meet has been to lean on credit cards. But that cycle of high interest debt makes it hard to stay ahead. And if you're a homeowner, I want you to be able to handle all of this. You can call my friends at American Financing right now. Interest rates have dropped and many homeowners are seeing options in the low fives. Compare that to credit cards that are charging rates in the twenties or higher. American Financing can help you. They can pay off that expensive debt, free up your cash flow and keep your budget under control. Their salary based mortgage consultants are saving customers an average of $800 a month. And if you get started today, you may even be able to delay your next mortgage payment. Take control. Call American Financing today. 888-879-6460. That's 888-879-6480. American Financing.net Vince NMLS number 182334 nmlsconsumeraccess.org APR for rates in the fives start at 6.327% for well qualified borrowers. Call 888-879646 for details about credit. Yes, yes. So the left has been going absolutely ballistic over a guy who didn't have ratings to begin with, but they wanted him back on the air. Jimmy Kimmel. This is after ABC last week decided to pull the plug on this idiot because he started last week's programming by declaring that Charlie Kirk's assassin came from the right. He said that the right had spent the weekend trying to prove the MAGA people had spent the weekend trying to prove that he was anything but maga. What do you mean prove? It was obviously a left winger, a pro tranny, pro furry gay guy who shot up Charlie Kirk, killed him, and it created so much devastation and mourning across the country. And then for you to get on television and be callous and stupid like that, well, you know, you deserve to be canceled for that. What ended up ensuing after that, as you now well know, is that two gigantic ABC affiliate groups, nexstar and Sinclair, decided, yeah, Jimmy Kimmel's not airing on our television affiliates. That's not happening anymore. We're suspending him entirely. So that was about 60 stations around the country. And then Disney said, okay, we're putting him on indefinite suspension. And I warned at the time, and now, of course, it's come to fruition. The word indefinite doesn't mean permanent. It means it's without a publicly recognized end date. And sure enough, that end date came in no time. So Kimmel just had a vacation for a week and now he's going back on the air as of Tuesday evening this week. But the way that we got here, boy, it really tells you the story, doesn't it? Just the Way the left is, they are absolutely crazy. Let me start here with what CNN is saying about all of this. They're saying that it was Hollywood who did this. CNN says, a CNN entertainment reporter says, you know, Hollywood, they started protesting all of this. They were so mad that Jimmy Kimmel was taken off the air just for saying something completely vicious about MAGA and Charlie Kirk, that they rallied and they got this guy back on the air. Here's CNN's description of what took place last week.
B
Jimmy and I do want to know that we have seen protests all throughout Hollywood, both in Los Angeles and in New York at Disney's offices here in Hollywood, where Jimmy Kimmel live shoots his show. Today there was a protest. So the whole community has very much been standing with Jimmy. They have wanted him to come back. And just a few hours ago, I reported on 4, 400 celebrities, including everyone from Meryl Streep to Jennifer Aniston, who signed an open letter from the ACLU not attacking Disney in any way, not even addressing Disney or abc, but attacking any censorship and any silencing from the government, saying that this is a moment that is bigger than our industry. Once you silence an entertainer, once you silence a journalist, then you silence everyone and it will be a snowball effect. So you have to imagine that what went into Disney's decision was also, quite frankly, the creative partners that they have to work with. If you have the entire Hollywood community who is rallying behind Jimmy, well, that is something that they had to consider. But again, I go back to what my source.
A
What a bunch of idiots. What a bunch of jackasses. I. And so, you know, oh, Jennifer Aniston and Meryl Streep were very angry about this and they signed a letter. They were very angry about it. And so they put Jimmy Kimmel back on the air. Kimmel, who, you know, like his colleagues in the late night television industry, is losing something like $40 million a year producing a show that nobody wants to watch because it's not funny. So then they want to force it down everybody's throats, all of the ABC affiliates. And they think that people are going to watch this. This is all insanity. This is like a hostage crisis. Nobody wants this outcome. And the worst possible outcome is occurring how isn't it a hostage crisis? It's so crazy. And so CNN lays it out this way. The CNN lady says, let's be honest, Disney chose Hollywood over maga. Disney said, you know what, these overpaid crybabies in Hollywood, they're more important to us than most of America. Listen to this.
B
That is going to anger the President. That is going to anger many on the right. But Disney had a decision to make. And ultimately the decision was we are going to make someone unhappy with whatever we do. If you don't bring him back, then you have the entire Hollywood community that you have to work with being upset.
A
The Hollywood community, who cares?
B
As Lisa France said, this has become so much bigger than Jimmy Kimmel. This is a conversation about free speech. This is a conversation about government interfering in entertainment and in free speech. So you either were going to have one side upset that he didn't come back or you're going to have another side upset that he is back. So it's a lose, lose situation. But this is ultimately what the resolution.
A
It's so stupid. It is so stupid. What a suicidal business decision. What a suicidal business decision. Is there a dumber company than Disney? Is there a company with. Is there any other parallel to this? A company with a huge legacy, so much intellectual property, so much potential, so much value innately within the company that is just being completely squandered by the idiocy, mismanagement and left wing politics of this moronically run company. I don't know if there's any other equivalent to this in history. This is a full blown communist collapse for Disney. And here's one of the ironies. Here's something that not a lot of people are gonna say. I'll say it. Disney lost the right a while ago. It doesn't matter if Jimmy Kimmel's on the air or not. Actually, if you want a conservative audience, Disney and Kimmel in particular, abc, the right was gone a while ago. The way that any of us consume a Kimmel clip these days is because he said something totally disgusting on television. And then we talk about it in conservative media to comment just on how debased the left is. The extent to which any of us see clips from the View also on ABC is for the same reason. Conservatives aren't watching this garbage. They're not consuming the shows, they're not consuming the advertising. They're laughing at the destruction that these shows have wrought on a once great company. And so again, whether he's there or not, conservatives aren't watching this. So the mistake, insofar as Disney made any last week business wise, was taking Jimmy Kimmel off the air. The only audience they had left was a tiny concentrated audience of radical left wing lunatics. You want to keep those people? Keep broadcasting Jimmy Kimmel, Go for it. Get rid of him. You're gonna anger the left wing lunatics. And in fact, as you and I both know on the right, you anger left wing lunatics, they become violent. And that's what happened. So Jimmy Kimmel got yanked off the air last week for just a couple of days. And all of a sudden, left wing lunatics started attacking everything we've got. So let me give you some examples here. There was a terror attack on an ABC affiliate in Sacramento last week. Have you heard about this chat? You know about this terror attack? The terror attack was because Jimmy Kimmel was not on the air. New York Times reporting here, check this out. Retired lobbyist in federal custody in shooting at ABC affiliate last week. So Kimmel gets yanked off the air and a 64 year old lawyer, a lobbyist in Sacramento, California, decides to open fire on an ABC affiliate because he's angry about this. Now, how do we know that this guy's animated by left wing politics? How do we know that this guy hates Trump? How do we know that this guy's mad? Jimmy Kimmel was pulled off the air because he wrote it on a stupid note inside of his car. These people are emotionally incontinent idiots. A retired California lobbyist was in federal custody on Monday. Federal custody as of yesterday, accused of shooting at an ABC affiliate in Sacramento last week, prosecutors said that investigators found a note in his vehicle that criticized the Trump administration's handling of the case against Jeffrey Epstein. Boy, that sounds like an ABC MSNBC CNN viewer if I've ever heard of one. The lobbyist, Annabel Hernandez Santana, 64, of Sacramento was formally charged Monday afternoon in the U.S. district Court with possessing a firearm within a school zone, discharging a firearm within a school zone, and interfering with a licensed broadcaster. The charges, which carry maximum penalties of more than $250,000 in fines and six years in prison, were in addition to the serious state charges of assault with a deadly weapon. So what happened was he was taken into the local custody, state custody, and then they released him on bail. And then Cash Patel and the team at the FBI and the Justice Department, they said, wait a second, this guy's free? Nope. And they took him back into custody. On Monday, they took him back into custody and they slapped him with federal charges for what he did. And now he's ineligible for release on bail, which is good. Why are we. We shouldn't be releasing terrorists back onto the streets after they opened fire at ABC. This guy worked for more than 20 years as a lobbyist. And the way that this went down, he left a note in his car, in his Nissan sports utility vehicle. And here's what he wrote on it. You ready for this? And this audience is going to care even more about this when they hear who he was targeting. Listen to this. He wrote for hiding Epstein and ignoring red flags, the note said, according to prosecutors, apparently referring to the financier and former friend of the President. The friend of the. What a bunch of jackasses over at the New York Times. How about the friend of Bill Clinton? How about the friend of Bill Gates? What a bunch of tools. The note also appeared to refer to two FBI officials, Cash Patel and Dan Bongino, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Charlie Kirk, the right wing political activist who was assassinated the prior week. Even in death, they treat Carly like crap. They call him right wing. They don't mean that as a descriptor. They mean that as a pejorative. They're disgusting. Here's what they said. Here's what the note said. The guy, the terrorist note, he said, quote, do not support Patel, Bongino and Attorney General Pam Bondi. They're next, said the terrorist. And then he wrote Charlie Kirk from above. He wrote, ck from above. So this guy conducts a terror attack on an ABC affiliate because he's mad at the Trump administration. Why is he attacking abc? Because the left has gone ballistic. They were blaming not Kimmel's behavior, but Trump for Kimmel being yanked off the air last week. They were acting like Trump's a fascist. Trump's a fascist. And then what happened? Disney just put Kimmel back on the air. So you tell me, chat, is Donald Trump a fascist? Is this the fascist government of the United States? If Disney feels comfortable putting this idiot back on the air, how's that fascist government working out? They're putting Kimmel back on the air again. Nobody's gonna watch it. They're gonna lose a ton of money. It couldn't happen to a better company. They've squandered everything that they've got. But the whole thing is so completely stupid. And you had a terror attack on an ABC affiliate and what did Disney do? They caved to it. Disney's view was, oh, well, if there's gonna be terror attacks, we have to let the terrorists win. So they put Jimmy Kimmel back on the air because of terror attack on an ABC affiliate last week. And it's not just the terror attack on that ABC affiliate. Don't lose in the midst of all of this that there were more terror threats directed at Sinclair broadcasters last week. So remember when Sinclair, the big ABC affiliate took Charlie off. Not Charlie, excuse me, took said we're not gonna air Jimmy Kimmel. And that's not happening throughout this week. And in fact, on Friday night, we're gonna air a Charlie Kirk tribute on our stations all across the country. That's a lot of affiliates. According to the New York Post, it's 40 affiliates. I keep saying around 30. But it's 40 ABC affiliates across the country, including in Washington D.C. in the nation's capital. Sinclair owns the big ABC affiliate in Washington D.C. and right in the nation's capital, Sinclair was gon air a tribute to Charlie Kirk in place of Jimmy Kimmel's broadcast on Friday. Now you know what happened on Friday. They didn't air it. Now why didn't Sinclair air the Charlie Kirk special that they said they were gonna air on Friday? Why didn't they do that? The answer to that is because of the left. The left threatened to kill Sinclair employees if they aired the Charlie Kirk broadcast. Look here, this is the New York Post Charlie Kirk tribute scrapped by Sinclair after local TV giant got threats against its ABC stations. Sinclair Broadcast Group abruptly canceled plans to air a Charlie Kirk tribute last week after the company's local ABC affiliates received multiple violent threats, forcing the firm to move the program to YouTube. And just minutes before it was scheduled to begin, the New York Post has learned. The Baltimore based local TV giant, which owns more than 40 ABC affiliates, yanked the Kirk tribute late Friday after it was alerted to local threats directed at specific local ABC stations resulting from the ABC suspension of late night host Jimmy Kimmel, a source close to the situation told the Post. Ladies and gentlemen, the left has an assassination culture. How many ways can we possibly express this? The left has killers in its midst, people who will use acts of violence to compel outcomes that they desire in public. Whether it's silencing the people who are correctly assessing what's going on in the United States or have a power to change the direction of our country that is attempting to kill President Trump or killing Charlie Kirk, or it's committing terror attacks against broadcasters in the country in order to either stop them from airing something or to compel them to air something. We've seen left wing violence now on multiple ABC affiliates across the country or threatened violence against ABC affiliates in order to dictate what they do or do not say. Now you tell me what the fascistic impulse is here. Is it Donald Trump being upset that Jimmy Kimmel said something garbage about Charlie Kirk? Or is it left wingers opening fire on ABC affiliates for daring to Air a Charlie Kirk memorial or for not airing Jimmy Kimmel. I know what the fascistic answer is here and that's what the left is doing. The actual acts of violence that they're using to compel speech. These terror attacks that I'm talking about. I don't know what you guys consume in the media. Have you noticed that this has not been a part of the conversation at all? The legacy press is pretending like none of this has happened or to the extent that they talk about it, they are not connecting any of these events whatsoever. They're just acting like, well, the left had some great victory this week. Jimmy Kimmel's going back on the air. Everybody's celebrating. It's great news for America. This is wonderful news. We stopped the fascistic Trump administration once again. It is a perfect inversion of the truth. It is a perversion of the events that are taking place in the United States of America. And this is. Somebody says, it's not fascism, Vince, it's terrorism. It is both. It is both. It is using force to shut down dissent and is using terrorist attacks in order to do it. And I'm not gonna abide by it and neither should you. But again, the left is celebrating this like, this is like some great celebration. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't know a single person who's super enthusiastic about Jimmy Kimmel having a broadcast on ABC anymore. In fact, yesterday, outside of Kimmel's Hollywood studio when the news broke that he was gonna be coming back on air. Get ready for the massive crowds. Get ready. Take a look. Cut three. At the massive reaction by the people who are crowding the streets to celebrate the return of Jimmy Kimmel. Here it is. There were five people. Literally five people and someone dressed as a dinosaur. So I guess technically six people if you count the dinosaur six. That's who Disney chose. Disney chose those nut jobs over you. Disney chose surrender over this country. Disney chose surrendering to terror attacks and to their co conspirators in Hollywood over the majority of our country. Just in case you want a reminder of the terrible direction that company continues to be on. Just amazing. Amazing. We got a lot more coming up for you. I've got, I've got. I've got a lot of insanity. We've got Matt Van swallows going to join us. Also today a we had a Dan Bongino sighting. A good one actually. We'll get to that. It's all ahead on this edition of Vince. Um, let's see. Oh, hey, you want some good news about Republicans? Let's get to some good news about Republicans. So we're coming up on the midterms, and you and I are gonna be talking a lot about this coming up. I've got a. We've got. First of all, we've got some elections that are happening this year that really matter. Virginia. If you're in Virginia, not only do you need to get out and vote for Winsome Sears, you need to bring out every human being you can get your hands on in Virginia and get them out to vote for Winsome Sears for governor. You've got to have a Republican governor continuing the work in Virginia. That's a state that is slipping towards the insanity that we see in way too many blue states. Don't let it happen. Fight like crazy. Get Governor Winsome Sears across the finish line. That has to happen in Virginia. Get everybody you Know, go to the polls, vote for this woman, United States Marine, Republic Republican, current Lieutenant governor of Virginia. You gotta get her through the other big race that's happening this year. A governor's race is in New Jersey. Jack Cittarelli is running again in that state. He's come so close in his last election. This time he can get across the finish line. If you people who are in New Jersey can get every single person you know out to vote for him, we just have to out hustle the left. And it is, you know, there's so much has been said about Charlie Kirk's influence among conservatives just in terms of like, you know, the way he communicates ideas. But it's not just the communication that matters. It was the organization that mattered. Charlie Kirk. You listen to the President talk about this. You listen to people like Susie Wiles talk about it over the weekend. One of the reasons Charlie was so effective was, was his ability to get people out to the polls, especially young people, registering them to vote, getting them out to the polls, changing the dynamics in the country. Charlie's not here anymore, which means that that mission falls to the rest of us. Turning Point's gonna continue its great work. They're doing everything they can to grow that mission to new levels. But the rest of us have to be as dogged as humanly possible to get people out to help make this country better, to make America great again. So that starts in places like Virginia and New Jersey this year. We're not at the midterms yet. We're in these off year elections. Get, win some Sears across the finish line, get Jack Cittarelli across the finish line. Fight, fight, fight. Okay, we're going to keep, we'll keep talking about that. My goal is to have these guys on our shows too. I want to have Winsome and Jack on to talk about these issues because I really, I want to support their candidacies and, and get them across the finish line. So that's the game plan. But going into the midterms, I do have some optimistic news, which is that voters are reflecting, well, relatively well on Republicans. The view among voters is that Republicans as a party led by Donald Trump are in a much better position than the Democrats. Voters think Democrats are complete idiots. If you broadly survey Democrats, they have no idea what Democrats even stand for. They don't trust Democrats. They've seen the comparison on the economy, they've seen the comparison on the border, and they far prefer. This is not even a close call. They far prefer Republican leadership here. So you have to Take that sentiment and turn it into votes. But here's CNN's excitable numbers guy, Harry Entin. Cut four. Talking about the advantage that Republicans have right now over Democrats.
B
What do you think?
C
Yeah. What are we seeing? You know, Donald Trump being underwater. Democrats saying all this guarantees us we're gonna fly high in the midterms. Let me tell you, this guarantees you nothing. Nothing. Because at this particular point, the Democrats are the New Orleans Saints of political parties. What are we talking about? Trust the Dems or gop? More on the economy, who leads on the economy? Republicans by 7. Immigration Republicans by 13. How about crime? A big issue for Donald Trump and the Republicans?
A
Look at that.
C
Lead by 22 points. So the bottom line is this. At this particular point, the ball may be on the ground, but the Democrats have not picked up the ball and running with it. If anything, at this particular point, it's the Republicans who are running with the ball on the top issues, the economy, immigration and crime.
A
22 point advantage on crime. 22 points. Brandon Johnson, the least popular BJ in America. You continue in Chicago to protest Donald Trump trying to bring some order to that city. Just keep doing it, you big idiot. Keep doing that, JB Pritzker, you moron. Keep doing that. Just keep going out Gavin Newsom and saying that President Trump shouldn't enforce the law. Every one of you Democrats just keep pounding that Trump because President Trump is demonstrating that people want law and order. A 22 point advantage. Where do you think that comes from? Where do you think that comes from? Why do you think Muriel Bowser, the mayor of Washington, D.C. in the end waved the political flag of surrender and said, President Trump was right. President Trump did improve the nation's capital. Law enforcement has made things better. The answer is because the voters in D.C. being, what, 92% Democrat even, they reached a critical mass where they said, actually, I like what Trump is doing. Actually, I like my streets being safer. I do like being able to go to work without getting mugged or screamed at by some mentally ill lunatic outside of Union Station. I do prefer that the American people want it. A 22% advantage. Yeah, that's huge. So Republicans, please, please, I beg of you. I'm talking about every other Republican beside Trump. Please follow Trump's lead here. Please stop getting in his way. Please pay attention to the success he's having. He's winning. And if you'd like to continue winning, you will enthusiastically and aggressively join the president's agenda. And please do it now. More ahead with the great Matt Van Swall we're gonna talk to him about even more reasons why he's not a lefty anymore. It's all ahead here on the program. Hey, fall is planting season. D
Thanks Vince. Great to be on.
A
So let me, I don't know how closely you're following the Jimmy Kimmel saga, but like basically, I don't even know who watches this guy at all. But a bunch of, a bunch of lefties led some terror attacks on ABC affiliates over the course of the past week and then Disney decided to reward them by putting Jimmy Kimmel back on the air. How concerned are you about the left's proclivity for violence and what we've seen over the last few weeks especially, I.
D
Mean, it's really shocking. You know, they, they seem to be significantly more upset about Jimmy Kimmel being off the air for five days than they were upset about Charlie Kirk, a 31 year old father being murdered in cold blood talking to students.
A
Yeah.
D
And not only were they not upset about it, I saw quite a few gleefully joyful about it. And I think we've kind of come to this bizarre area in our country where the sense of morality seems to be totally flip flopped and it's, it's truly kind of scary when you look at the landscape of political violence coming from the left. It seems like the solution to speech that they don't like seems to be violence. You know, even that. There was that guy that shot up the ABC affiliate right afterwards and the ABC caved. You know, it's just wild. It's terrifying. And it seems to be coming from only one side of the political aisle.
A
Can you explain that to me? I don't know. You don't seem like a violent guy at all. But I just wonder, having been on the left for as long as you were, what is that impulse We've talked about on this program quite a bit. The left has a really unfortunate assassination culture, and it shows up in all the data, which is that the majority of people on the center left or beyond, according to a Rutgers University survey earlier this year, found that most of those people would be comfortable justifying the assassination of Donald Trump. Just under a majority said that they could justify the assassination of, of Elon Musk. And in that case, like, it doesn't mean that they're all taking up arms, but it does say that they're completely okay with that level of violence. Where does that come from, Matt?
D
I think it comes from just this bizarre sense of morality that any means necessary to achieve a better end and for the. And I don't identify with anyone on the left that thinks that committing violence is an acceptable means of prot. But there is this, this kind of. I don't know, I think it's just a bizarre sense of morality where, you know, shutting up someone who is spewing what you would consider hate speech is a noble deed in the world, and getting rid of that person is a net positive in their mind. And, I mean, it's a big problem. And I think that's where it come from.
A
How much responsibility do top Democrats have for the words that are coming out of their mouths and to what extent they incite this viol?
D
I don't, I don't think any Democrat is responsible for the, the evil deeds of one person. But you, you are responsible for the words that come out of your mouth that raise the temperature of the arena that you're in. And when you say things like, you know, Trump is worse than Mussolini and Hitler combined, someone will believe you and someone will take you seriously. And, you know, when you, when you call all right wingers fascists, which I think all of us on the right have been called fascists at some point, then, yeah, someone's going to take you seriously. Someone is going to say, hey, you know what the, the right response to fascism is? You know, it's the whole, you know, should you go back and kill baby Hitler in time? Sort of thought experiment, and someone's going to play that out in real life. And that's, that's exactly what happened.
A
It's disgusting. So what did I. I want to ask you about the Charlie Kirk memorial and a per. And a particular scene that we got to witness this weekend. One. One area that I think a lot of people may have encountered you over time. Matt is on Elon Musk's Twitter account. Elon, Elon likes you. He tends to share a lot of the stuff that you express on his platform on X. And something we saw this weekend was a scene that Charlie Kirk sought but didn't get to live to see, which is the reunion between Donald Trump and Elon Musk at Charlie Kirk's memorial. What did you think when you saw that moment?
D
I thought that was one of the most beautiful public acts of forgiveness that we have seen in a while. Him and Trump getting together and Erica Kirk forgiving her husband's assassin. The both of those, I think, speak to a movement that is predicated on forgiveness and Christianity. And I don't know how you can look at that and not want to be a part of that movement. It was so powerful. Everyone I've talked to, I mean, they can't believe it. You know, how do you have the wherewithal to forgive an assassin? It's, you know, forgiveness, public forgiveness like that is one of the most beautiful things to witness. I think everyone was moved by it. I certainly was extraordinarily moved by it. And I do think, you know, coming together, that was something that Charlie wanted. He said it publicly that Trump and Elon come back together. And I think Elon understands the gravity of the moment. You know, his tweets after that, saying the Lord's Prayer was really powerful, and I think. I think he gets it. And it really is a battle of light versus dark. And, you know, I would never be one to be incredibly spiritual like that about it, but that's exactly what it seems like.
A
Yeah. You know, and Elon said when he was asked by a reporter on the floor at the memorial, as you just alluded to, you know, what happened to Charlie, and he said that he was showing people the light and he was killed by the dark. It was one of the pithiest and I thought most consequential assessments of what exactly happened to Charlie. And you're hearing it from a guy. I don't instinctively think of Elon Musk as some sort of religious or spiritual person, but, boy, it does seem like Charlie's passing has motivated a lot of people to tap into something that they don't normally tap into.
D
Oh, 100%. I'm sure you've gotten messages like this as well. But over the past two weeks, I mean, I'VE had spontaneous conversations with random strangers about Charlie Kirk's passing and how that they want to be more politically active. Multiple people are. My personal church was packed to the gills on Sunday, standing room only. And I know mine's not the only one. And I. I do think that this is a turning point for so many people that. That look at a left that has lost its mind at a world that has very little morality in it, and say, I want something different. And that was me, too. So.
A
So there was a negative reaction, of course, from the left to the memorial for Charlie this weekend. There were accusations that this is somehow, like, terrible Christian nationalism. I heard lefties referring to it as a Nazi rally. I'm not sure what kind of Nazi rally would include forgiving your husband's assassin. You know what. What are the distinguishing features you think here between the way the right and the left treat faith?
D
Well, I mean, I think that the left thinks of faith is generally just a bad thing, that the separation of church and state is extreme positive, and that Christianity and politics can have nothing to do with each other. And from what I saw yesterday, and again, I'm pretty new to this, but it does seem like Charlie's faith informed his political beliefs that everyone is created equal, that everyone is endowed by their creator with inalienable rights. Charlie believed all of those things, and it's the reason he spoke on campuses and gave people a microphone and let them disagree with him publicly. And I think that was a beautiful thing to witness. And, you know, I think just the left has lost its way on the morality front. And it's very scary because you see it being lashed out in all sorts of ways. You know, like you said, you don't ever see forgiveness at a Nazi rally. And, you know, the turning up the temperature like this again is just something that the left seems to continue to do even after the assassination of Charlie.
A
It.
D
It boggles my mind.
A
So do you think that. That this weekend's service for Charlie, did that in any way affirm for you your decision to become conservative? Did you look at that and you go, man, we made the right decision?
D
Oh, 100%. 100% like it. It's really telling to me that after the, you know, the George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement that burned down cities and tried to silence people, that the opposite is occurring here? It's a movement predicated on forgiveness. It's predicated on love. It's predicated on making sure that more people can speak and not less people can speak. You know, I can't look at that and think anything other than I'm on the right side.
A
You can't. Predicated on stability and building something. Yeah, no, it's a huge contrast. We've talked before, you and your lovely wife as well, and we were chatting on kind of your journey, why you became conservative in the first place. And one of the big motivating factors is your life in western North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Helene. And the way that the Biden administration betrayed the people of western North Carolina was horrifying. We just got an update this week that the Department of Homeland Security has announced an additional $48 million Secretary Noem has in additional federal disaster relief for your region of North Carolina. Tell us, Matt, to what you know, to what extent does this matter and how will this help North Carolina, do you think?
D
Yeah, I mean, it absolutely matters. You know, since Trump got in office, they've given over $2 billion to Western North Carolina. And during the Biden administration, you could talk to anyone that lived around here. They felt completely forgotten. You know, there were people living in tents all the way up until December. And, you know, I didn't publicly come out and praise Trump until he got into office and actually did something in late January. I was very skeptical whether President Trump was actually going to keep his promises because he made a lot of big ones when he came, and he certainly did. You know, I think people forget this, but in February, the Department of Homeland Security and female resolved 80% of all open FEMA cases in February, weeks after getting into. Into the administration. And it's just amazing. It's a testament to what great leadership can do. You know, we, we got on a call with Cameron Hamilton, the director of FEMA at the time, and he, he talked to survivors that we were working with directly and, you know, cried with them, prayed with them, said that he was going to fix their problems, and he did. He followed through. And for me, is it through that. That really pushed me over the edge because there's just a lot of talk during the Biden administration about things they were going to do and never did. There was no follow through. And this administration is nothing but follow through. And that's what did it for me.
A
All right, Matt Van Swell, before I let you go, I have to ask you, are you wearing a sweater or a bathrobe? What are we looking at right now?
D
It's a cardigan. Sorry.
A
In the house, I was wondering, I was like, man, this might be the first time we have a guest with a bathrobe on, which you know, you're always welcome here, regardless of your dress. Hey, thank you, Matt. It's great to talk to you, brother. Good to have you on the show today.
D
All right.
A
There's Matt Van Swell in a, in a cardigan, to be clear. Thank you to Matt for, for stopping by the program and. Yeah, no, it's been, it's been, it's been crazy. And he's a, he's a great guest. We had him on for, what was it, the Labor Day special. He and his, he and his wife. And you should, if you want to see the full conversation on what it was like, the journey that they took, their transformation and what it meant for their lives and their kids. And we had a great conversation. Definitely go back and watch our chat with Matt. All right, let me see here. I've got some other big things that we have to get to. I want to talk about the impact. Speaking of American families, the president came out yesterday alongside RFK Jr. The HHS Secretary, with the results of their findings on autism and the environmental factors that may be responsible for the skyrocketing rates of autism. And in case you're wondering about the numbers, Vince, how much has autism skyrocketed in the United States? Well, here's the president of the United States addressing it yesterday. Cut 7. Take a look at President Trump.
E
Just a few decades ago, 1 in 10,000 children had autism. So that's not a long time. And I've always heard, you know, they say a few, but I think it's a lot less time than that. It used to be 1 in 20,000, then 1 in 10,000. And I would say that's probably 18 years ago. And now it's 1 in 31. But in some areas, it's much worse than that, if you can believe it, 1 in 31. And I gave numbers yesterday for boys, it's 1 in 12. I was told that's in California, where they have a, for some reason, a more severe problem. So since 2000, autism rates have surged by much more than 400%.
A
Yeah, the autism rates have skyrocketed. What can you attribute that to? Now There is what RFK Jr has referred to as a canard that is out there saying that this merely has something to do with better diagnostics, that, well, as time has gone on, our ability to detect and to diagnose autism has gone up meaningfully. So to the extent to which, you know, you're now claiming that there's a higher rate of autism, it's just that the medical community is better at detecting it now. And that of course would be responsible for some uptick, no doubt, but this dramatic of an uptick. And here's where RFK Jr. Points to a specific thing. He goes, actually if it was diagnostic capabilities, we would see an uptick in every generation. We don't see that. Take a look at cut nine. Here's RFK addressing that particular lie.
F
That's one of the canards that has been promoted by the industry for many years that it's changed diagnostic criteria, better recognition. But there's been study after study on a fat completely debunks that. One of them by the Mind Institute at UC Davis University of California. But also it's just common sense because you're only seeing this in people who are under 50 years of age. If it were better recognition or diagnosis, you'd see it in 70 year old men. I've never seen this happening in people my age. I've never seen a case of full blown autism and that means profound autism. I want to be very careful. Head banging, stimming, toe walking, non verbal, non toilet train. I've never in my life seen a 70 year old man who looks like that. You're only seeing it in the kids. It's an epidemic.
A
You're only seeing it in the kids. It's an epidemic. Now what are they saying? Are they saying that there are no genetic factors in any of this? No, they're not saying that. Any media outlet that suggests they are saying that is lying to you or are they saying that it, that it only comes from environmental factors? No, but they are saying that real science involves investigating what the hell is going on. Why is this rate skyrocketing? And so yesterday they approached the microphone with some conclusions. And again, to be clear, President Trump didn't just come up with this by throwing darts at a board and going what's the problem? Oh, the dart hit Tylenol, It's Tylenol. Let's just go with that. He scribbled onto the back of a napkin and they walked out and they just presented Trump's random finding. That's not how any of this happened. Everybody standing next to RFK Jr. And Donald Trump is a well trained scienced and clinician. People like Dr. Marty Makary, Dr. J. Bhattacharya, Dr. Oz, these guys taught and did medicine at places like Columbia and Johns Hopkins University and Stanford. They're reflecting on real scientific studies, including a meta analysis that just came out of Harvard. You have all sorts of indications that there are environmental factors, things that are happening. Drugs that are being administered that are connected to rising rates and autism. And these are worth not just looking at, but preventing people from taking too much for fear that they may have some sort of effect, especially on their children. This is the most reasonable conversation imaginable. So here's RFK yesterday. Cut eight. Making the announcement. Listen.
F
First, HHS will act on acetaminophen. The FDA is responding to clinical and laboratory studies and suggestions and potential association between acetaminophen used during pregnancy and adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes, including later diagnosis for ADHD and autism. Scientists have proposed biological mechanisms linking prenatal acetaminophen exposure to altered brain development. We have also evaluated the contrary studies that show no associated. Today, the FDA will issue a physician's notice about the risk of acetaminophen during pregnancy and begin the process to initiate a safety label change. HHS will launch a nationwide public service campaign to inform families and protect public health.
A
Okay, so all they're saying is the same thing that the research has been saying for years. Plenty of research has indicated that prolonged use of Tylenol for pregnant women on their babies in utero could result in neurological deficiencies or abnormalities. This isn't. It's just science, baby. That's all there is to it. There's nothing radical, extreme or bizarro about this presentation. The only thing that's exceptional about it is it's the first time in a long time that we've seen actual government officials go after a drug that's put out by one of the major pharmaceutical companies. That's the weird thing. That's the unusual thing, because normally federal government employees, elected officials, various agency heads are captured by these industries. They do the bidding of these industries. They try and prevent those products from being diminished in use in order to help the bottom lines of those companies. Well, that's not what health is about. It's not about enriching the maker of Tylenol Health is about ensuring the protection of the people in our country. So these guys are doing something unusual in that they're not captured by the deep state, by the pharmaceutical companies. They're just doing the job. Help. Marty Makary, the head of the fda, removed the pharmaceutical companies from all of the advisory panels inside of the agency. But Vince, what? The pharmaceutical companies were on the advisory panels at the fda. That seems like a total conflict of interest. Yeah, it is. And the Trump administration got rid of that garbage. And even in the media coverage today of all of this, I could give you a Million examples. But let me. I'll pull up the Wall Street Journal just as a, just as one example of this. And I'm going to single them out, but there's a bunch of them that did it. Headline. In targeting common painkiller, Trump oversteps His own Advisor's guidance on autism. And you read through the piece? I read through this piece. It took me until. The piece is. I don't know how many paragraphs, 20 something paragraphs. I got to the bottom of this piece. I got to the bottom of this piece. Let me see. I think they changed it. Now, Tylenol is currently viewed as, as the safest pain medicine approved for pregnant women to use. And some scientists warn that prolonged untreated fever can harm fetal development. That's all they say. They don't mention that prolonged Tylenol use can be an issue. They don't mention the research on this subject. They don't even bother to tell you that this is a subject of the scientific community, that they've already been researching this. They've already established that acetaminophen carries risk for pregnant women. I don't know. Look, for the mothers out there, you know what this is like. And the pregnant women in our lives, men, we know what this is like. Nobody is more sensitive to what they're ingesting, and nobody's more concerned about it than a pregnant woman. Pregnant women are very attentive to what they're putting into their bodies because they are trying to think very clearly about the human life that's forming within them. That's it. They care about their child. And so they stop drinking coffee and they change their diets and they're not obviously smoking or drinking alcohol or any of those other things. They're being very attentive to, okay, during this period, during this moment where this baby's gestating and this baby's gonna come into the world, I gotta be very careful about what I put in. So they want all the information they can possibly get. And we've seen all of this concern trolling from the media overnight, like, oh, no, are pregnant women gonna become nervous now because of what Trump is saying? Pregnant women have always been concerned about what they're ingesting. They just want maximum information. Why are you trying to hide this from them? The great Reagan Reese, my White House correspondent, asked President Trump about this yesterday. Cut 10, she said, why has it taken so long for anybody to tell this story? Why don't other people tell this story? Why did it take the Trump administration to do this and listen to the President's answer here. It's instructive.
E
When you say it, you get attacked. I was saying something similar. Not as strongly, because now facts are on our side. But I was saying it with Bobby 20 years ago, and I was attacked. I said, whoa, what was that all about? I had no idea. You get attacked. I don't know. The medical community, drug companies, doctors. I don't know what it is all I want to do. I don't care. I don't care about being attacked. It doesn't matter to me. I believe that the numbers at the end of our term or shortly thereafter could be really phenomenal. I want it to go up just. Just like it came down to this horrible level. 1 in 10, 1 in 12. I was told 1 in 10. I was told 1 in 12. Today I heard 1 in 31. If you add the girls and the boys together, it's crazy. And it was 1 in 10,000 and 1 in 20,000. It's not even sustainable for a country. You want to know the truth? And there are other places that don't have it.
A
Yeah, yeah. So he's just pointing out, like they pointed out among the Amish community, for instance, that there are very low rates of autism because they're not using Tylenol. Pregnant women aren't. While they have. While they're carrying children. And so they're not seeing as high rates of autism. And these are all things worth observing. And, and again, they're not saying that no pregnant woman can use Tylenol. The guidance is merely that it should be. A doctor prescribes the lowest dose possible for the shortest duration possible, if necessary, to pregnant women. Whatever happened to it? It should be between a woman and her doctor. I mean, whatever happened to that? The left completely abandons the talking point because they're trying to serve the medical industry in order to enrich the pharmaceutical companies. It's disgusting. And I saw somebody in the chat say, hey, the administration needs to put out links to all the studies, all the scientific studies. Good point. They did that here. Check out the White House here. Fact sheet. Evidence suggests link between acetaminophen and autism. And in the fact sheet, they include link after link of massive studies, large cohort studies, the Nurses Health Study, the Boston Birth Cohort, Harvard Study, Harvard University, Johns Hopkins, Mount Sinai. Link after link after link after link, demonstrating that there's nothing here, demonstrating that there's something here that the scientific community has detected. So that's, that's. I mean, look, this is it. This is the whole thing. This is. The Trump administration is presenting all the evidence out there. You know, for those of us who actually pay attention to the details, we can consume it and identify what's actually going on. The media will continue to lie to you. And who are they serving? Who are they serving? The media are not serving pregnant women. They're not serving Americans. They're not taking care of people. No, they are anti science, partisan lunatics. They're the very thing they accuse Trump of being. They say that Trump is just doing something that's anti science and is harming people. No, that's what you're doing when you lie to them about the existing research to protect the pharmaceutical dollars that are flowing in by way of your advertisers into your media company. And as the Secretary of War says, we're done with that shit. Great to have you with us today. Best audience anywhere. I've got a big national radio show coming up today, 12 to 3 Eastern Time. Oh, oh, we do have one more thing for you. I can't disappear without sharing this with you. I do have a Dan Bongino sighting. Thank you, Justin, for reminding me. I have a Dan Bongino sighting. This weekend we had the Charlie Kirk memorial in cash. Patel and Dan Bongino were there. And at one moment, Dan was traversing the floor of the memorial and a sweet little girl walks up to him to hand him a Jesus figurine that she made for him. Look at this. Dan grabs her by the face. He says, I think he said, I appreciate you. Thank you. One more time. Let me see the. I'm gonna lip read Dan here. What does he say? I think he said I appreciate you or God bless you. Was it God bless you? Okay, It's a God bless you. Yeah, it looks like a God bless you. It's great to see Dan. Dan tweeting. It was my honor. Fight the good fight. What a sweet little girl. What a sweet moment. And. And good to see Dan. Dan's. Dan's a great American. Glad he's fighting the good fight for the rest of us.
