We've we've got some details on when exactly Dan is returning to podcasting as well as the implications for this program and for the fabulous Haley Caranilla. You ready for it? Let's go through it real quick here. Dan posting this morning. Thank you all for allowing me to serve you. We are back on air February 2nd at 10am Eastern live on rumble.com bongino rumble.com bongino there's a lot to talk about. American flag emoji. Love that American flag emoji. Here's the actual release from Dan Westwood One Rumble the Whole Operation. Conservative commentator, bestselling author, former FBI Deputy director Dan Bongino set to return to broadcasting on February 2nd. February 2nd, 2026. A few short weeks away here, guys, with a brand new two hour daily program airing weekdays from 10am to 12pm Eastern Time. Got that? That's. You know, Dan mentioned it with Haley when he went on her program last week that he'd be doing two hours. That's right. He's launching 10am Each day until noon each day to cover everything. He's got a lot to get through. I mean, certainly all the things that he learned inside of the government and everything else he's saying heading up into these midterms. Two hours each day with Dan. The show will be exclusively livestreamed on Rumble. That's the only place that you will be able to watch it live and distribute it on demand as usual to all the podcast platforms. They say that it will bring Bongino's unique insider perspective back to his loyalty audience following a year of government service. Now Westwood One will serve as the exclusive sales partner for the Dan Bongino Show. For those of you who track the radio industry closely, when you hear Westwood One, even the radio trade publications were getting confused this weekend. They, they thought Westwood One, he's doing a radio show. Is that what this. No, no, no. Westwood One is handling the ad sales for the Dan Bongino show for his podcast. That's what's gonna happen going forward as well. So that you'll see that this year Bongino stepped away from his previous show in early 2025. This audience knows that to serve as deputy director of the FBI under President Trump and here, now they lay out the schedule here. Bongino's return is gonna be a part of a new daily lineup on Rumble that includes the following 8 o' clock in the morning, the Vince Colonnade Show. Now, I wasn't consulted on this press release that may very well Be what we call the show. I think we're still calling it Vince, but whatever, I don't care. Vince Colonnades is my name, so that'd be perfectly fine, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Justin, have you heard differently? Are we calling this thing the Vince Colonnade show or Vince, what are we calling it? Do we know? We haven't heard. Okay, well, whatever. That's. The press release has the Vince Colonnade show, so it doesn't matter. The point is, it's me. I'll be there. So that's the big news for me this morning is 8:00'. Clock. That's when you'll be able to get me each day. And the goal of an 8 o' clock show. I'm very happy with this and here's why. The goal of an 8am show is to set the day for you for those. And I realize everybody, this obviously impacts me directly and my family, but it's also gonna impact you. If you wanna still consume this, especially live, if you're getting it on the podcast, nothing changes. You'll still get it on the podcast. That, that's true. But if you want to consume my program live at 8am each day, it's gonna be certainly there's gonna be some schedule adjustments for anybody who wants to do that. I so appreciate you. If you do that with me, if you come, if you come to me at 8 o', clock, maybe it's more convenient. Perhaps some people might be in their work commutes. You know, you can just flip on the phone and have the, have the live stream going. You can watch the Rumble thing. Don't obviously eyes on the road, but you can get that at 8 o' clock in the morning. But the goal is that I'm gonna do the same program I'm doing here, but we're gonna focus on the news headlines of the day. I'm gonna set up the. Set the table for your entire day in terms of understanding everything that had transpired overnight and what to expect in the 24 hours ahead. And my plan is not only to set the agenda for you, but to set the agenda for the country. Rumble is just one of the biggest, biggest up and coming, amazing operations on the planet. And it's already so dominant in the streaming space, we're about to take things to unseen levels with Rumble streaming service. So at 8 o' clock in the morning, I'm going to be basically setting the news agenda each day. Not only will it be must watch, but if you are a newsmaker. It will be must participate. We're going to have some of the biggest interviews imaginable, starting people's days to give them an impression of what's actually going on in the country. So it's just gonna be great. And if you wanna track it on Rumble, I wanna remind you that if you go to rumble.com vince right now, this is what I was alluding to last week and I just, I can be much more clear now, now that the announcement's been made. If you go to rumble.com Vince that's going to take you to the Bongino Report Rumble Channel. Go there, go there. And if you're not subscribed yet, get subscribed right now. That's your big opportunity. Do that rumble.com Vince even if you visited that website before. Rumble.com Vince, if you do it right now, we are simulcasting this Rumble feed on both the current Vince channel, which will again become Dan Bongino's channel. It is Dan Bongino's channel. We're just going to retitle it and it will be back to where his program is at 10am each day. And then also Bongino Report, that's where you'll be able to consume me on that channel right now. So rumble.com Vince subscribe there. Okay. And then we get to what Dan is up to. Dan goes at 10 o' clock Eastern each day. He'll be doing two hours of podcasting and you'll be able to watch that exclusively on Rumble. And then at noon we've got scrolling with Haley Karenia. No longer the nightly scroll because it's now the midday scroll. It's scrolling with Haley Caranilla at noon Eastern each day. She's going to be broadcasting live on Rumble and she'll have a mighty audience each day as Dan is able to share that big audience that's with him directly with her. And then on we go. So you are watching the makings of something pretty epic coming together. And as always, I'm just super grateful to be a part of it. Now for those of you who are asking, I've already gotten some questions this morning as this is going around on social media. There's a lot of chatter about this new lineup as we speak. And I'm getting a lot of incoming this noon time slot that she has. Yes, it is at the same time as my big national radio show. Yes, I will be doing the radio show still each day from 12 to 3 Eastern Time. And no, I'm not perturbed by this at all. I love Haley. I'm super happy that she's going to be doing this. It's going to be great for Rumble and it's just one more option that you have to consume some great content during the day. It's, it's great. It's great for everybody involved. So I'm very excited about it. And Haley has just been a great success and this will be really good. This will be really nice to have her at noon each day. So there you go. That's the lineup. 8 o' clock in the morning you get me, 10 o', clock, then you get Dan, and then at noon you get Haley. Of course, those are all Eastern time. Adjust for your time zone, but that'll be excellent. And more details to come on all of it. We've got. Whatever, whatever more details we have. We'll bring them to you. Okay, let's get into today's program though, because we have a lot to get to here as well. In Washington, D.C. in Washington, D.C. the biggest news story of the last 24 hours is that there is a criminal investigation going on into the chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell. Now, if you hear that and think to yourself, why is that a big. The only reason that's a big deal is finally the Justice Department is unfettered. They can investigate people who are a part of the establishment, but to Washington, it's like a five alarm fire. Washington hates this. They think that this is the most scandalous thing that has happened ever. You know, other than when ICE agents are murdering Americans in cold blood. That's the way Washington's been acting. And so certainly in the last 24 hours, they're now freaking out that Jerome Powell is under investigation. Now, I'm not freaking out. It's not even that much of a surprise that Jerome Powell's under investigation. You realize that under his leadership at the Federal Reserve, that the Fed is now running a deficit for the first time in its history. How are they running a deficit? Yeah, they're running a deficit right now. Meaning they're losing your money. And in addition to losing your money, they are wasting a tremendous amount of it on this absurd renovation project that they got going on at what we refer to as the palace on the Potomac, the Federal Reserve's headquarters right there on Constitution Avenue. They are. The cost overruns on this thing are absurd. It was a project that was billed at something like $2 billion. They're approaching $1 billion in overruns. How do you get a billion dollars in overruns In a construction project. Well, if somebody like Jerome Powell is in charge. So what has happened is Jerome Powell wasting all this money. He decides that. He pretends like he has no idea what anybody's even talking about, and then he goes and testifies before Congress last July. And when he does that, Congress is not satisfied by the answers he's giving. They're like, there is something really fishy going on here as this guy is blowing through a lot of your money. So they referred him for a criminal investigation. Anna Paulina Luna was referred Jerome Powell for a criminal investigation last year. And sure enough, we've got one. There's a criminal investigation into Jerome Powell. In fact, he confirmed it last night in one of the most boring videos ever put out by a government official. Here's Jerome Powell.
Jerome Powell
On Friday, the Department of justice served the Federal Reserve with grand jury subpoenas threatening a criminal indictment related to my testimony before the Senate Banking Committee last June. That testimony concerned, in part, a multi year project to renovate historic Federal Reserve office buildings. I have deep respect for the rules of law and for. Can I just posit, in our democracy, no, sir.
Vince Colonnade
Are you listening to this? Do they know how to mic this dude up? See, this is the problem with him never doing videos. He does one video, and it's terrible.
Jerome Powell
He.
Vince Colonnade
They've got a boom mic hovering over his head like a shotgun mic directly pointed at his throat. So you're listening to every swallow that the dude is making as he tries to make excuses for why. Why he's under criminal investigation right now. Okay, carry on.
Jerome Powell
I have deep respect for the rule of law and for accountability in our democracy. No one, certainly not the chair of the Federal Reserve, is above the law. But this unprecedented action should be seen in the broader context of the administration's threats and. And ongoing pressure. This new threat is not about my testimony last June or about the renovation of the Federal Reserve buildings. It is not about Congress's oversight role. The Fed, through testimony and other public disclosures, made every effort to keep Congress informed about the renovation project. Those are pretexts. The threat of criminal charges is a consequence of the Federal Reserve setting interest rates based on our best assessment of what will serve the public, rather than following the preferences of the President. This is about whether the Fed will be able to continue to set interest rates based on evidence and economic conditions, or whether instead, monetary policy will be directed by political pressure or intimidation.
Vince Colonnade
All right, so that's him bitching and moaning in the most monotone possible way as he's complaining that he's under criminal investigation right now. And then declaring there's no legitimate basis whatsoever for the criminal investigation. This is Donald Trump just being upset at me for running our monetary policy into the ground. Well, he should be upset at you for that. You've been a horrifically bad chairman of the Federal Reserve. And the reality here is the evidence is totally stacked against this guy. It's totally stacked against this fellow. In fact, Russ Vogt put out a really helpful letter on this subject. Really a tweet. I'll summarize it via his tweet. This is July of last year. He's the head of the Office of Management and Budget. Here's what he said about Jerome Powell. He said the chairman has grossly mismanaged the Fed. True. While continuing to run a deficit since fiscal year 2023, which is the first. First time in the Fed's history. The Fed is way over budget on the renovation of its headquarters, now up to $2.5 billion. This is July of last year, by the way. The numbers have updated since then. They're even worse. Now up to $2.5 billion, roughly $700 million over its initial cost. These renovations included terrace, rooftop gardens, water features, VIP elevators, premium marble. The cost per square foot is now $1,923, double the cost for renovating an ordinary historic federal building. The palace of Versailles would have cost $3 billion in today's dollars. Unfortunately, Powell's recent testimony to Congress has led to serious questions that now require additional oversight from the Office of Management and Budget in conjunction with the National Capital Planning Commission. And then he sends this letter to Chairman Powell, to Jerome Powell in July. And what he details in the letter is that Powell is acting bewildered in his testimony before Congress. He's like, I don't even know what you're talking about. Elevators, rooftop gardens, water features, I don't know anything about that. Here's the problem, fella. It's inside of the planning documents for the building. So you don't get to pretend like you don't know anything about it. Either you have Joe Biden level senility or you're lying to Congress, which is why they are now investigating him. It's a well earned investigation. And in fact, remember President Trump just visited with Jerome Powell a couple months ago. And when he did to go survey the renovations, it resulted in one of the most hysterical videos you've ever seen. As President Trump confronts Jerome Powell about the cost overruns. Watch this.
Chris Bedford
It looks like it's about 3.1 billion, one up a little bit or a lot?
Vince Colonnade
So the 2.7 is now 3.1. Yeah, it just came out.
Jerome Powell
I haven't heard that from anybody.
Vince Colonnade
He pulls out the receipts. He's got the paper.
Chris Bedford
Our nose said it about 3.1 as well.
Vince Colonnade
He shows Jerome Powell.
Jerome Powell
This came from us.
Vince Colonnade
Yes, this came from us.
Chris Bedford
He says.
Jerome Powell
You'Re including the Martin renovation you just added.
Vince Colonnade
Yeah, you just had.
Jerome Powell
You just added in a third building is what that is. That's a third building.
Chris Bedford
It's a building that's being built.
Vince Colonnade
No, it's been.
Jerome Powell
It was built five years ago. We finished Martin five years ago.
Vince Colonnade
It's part of the overall work. So. I love, I love Jerome Powell. So Donald Trump can wear a hard hat at a construction site and look totally natural, like he's been doing it his whole life. You know, he's the guy who's in charge. He owns the project. He's coming to survey it. He's got the hard hat on. Jerome Powell looks like Michael Dukakis in the tank. He looks ridiculous. He looks like. He looks like. What was the name of the Rick Moranis character in Spaceballs? Darth Helmut. Was that what it was? He looks like Darth Helmut. He looks ridiculous. Really funny. What a goof. What a goof. President Trump just confronts him. He's like, I got the receipts right here. Take a look at that. Jerome Powell's like, no, no, no, it's not that. Yeah, it totally is. You're wasting our money. You're wasting it. And so they nailed this guy, and rightfully so. And so how is Washington responding? With utter scandal. Like they're acting like this is the worst thing that's ever happened. Now, let me just be clear about what is happening. This is a criminal investigation. There are no charges yet. This is merely investigators sending grand jury subpoenas to Jerome Powell and saying, answer our questions. Please describe these discrepancies for us. Just lay out what the hell's going on here. And so what is Jerome Powell's obligation here? To answer the damn questions. It's not cause for a five alarm fire. It's cause for celebration that the people who are tasked with criminal justice in our system are actually doing the job. In Washington, the only acceptable criminal investigation is, is into Republicans. The only time everybody nods along with enthusiasm in D.C. is when President Trump or anybody around him is being investigated. And in fact, those investigations are almost always fraudulent fictions cooked up, scandalous and tyrannical. In fact, I've got more details about that coming up in just a moment. Stand by for that. Jerome Powell under investigation. Well earned. How has Trump been treated in the past? I've got new details there. You ever think about aging? You ever think about aging? Aging is. Well, it's a thing we all do. In fact, I just did it two seconds ago. I aged. Yep. And I keep doing it. Okay, so we get updates on what the hell they were doing as they were trying to go after Trump. And this one comes to us from just the news, Jack Smith. That unconstitutional special counsel Jack Smith was cutting checks to people to make up claims about Donald Trump. Now how do we know that? Well, Donald Trump wasn't guilty of trying to steal an election. Donald Trump wasn't guilty of stealing classified documents or anything like that. Donald Trump was President of the United States and then he was absolutely tormented by the Biden led Justice Department and now he's President of the United States again and, and rightfully so. But Jack Smith was approving payments to people to, quote, snitch on Trump during the Arctic Frost probe. This is John Solomon's reporting. Then Special counsel Jack Smith's Office approved paying $20,000 in 2023. 20,000 bucks to a confidential human source for information in the controversial FBI investigation codenamed Arctic Frost that probed efforts by President Trump and his followers to contest the 2020 election results. According to documents that were obtained by Just the News, the revelations included in a tranche of brand new memos that FBI Director Kash Patel has just turned over to Congress on the tactics and the scope of the inquiry that agents and prosecutors used to try and build a case that Trump had violated the law by attempting to offer the Senate all alternate electors ahead of the certification of the 2020 election results that put Joe Biden into office. What a scam. It's all such a scam. Cash Patel told Just the News that the bombshell revelation of a paid snitch was the latest evidence that the Arctic Frost probe was an egregious abuse of power and a violation of the law. You know, I have one quibble. I love John Solomon. I love Just the News. But this, this reference to this guy is a snitch. A snitch is somebody who reveals something that's authentically going on, and they do it at the cost of disloyalty to their fellow conspirators. Right. That's the idea of the word snitch. I don't think snitch actually applies here. We don't have any evidence to demonstrate that snitch would apply here. In fact, I think it's pretty safe to assume that this is just bullcrap that this person was developing and then getting paid in order to try and advance what we have well established as a completely tyrannical prosecution and an unconstitutional one of Donald Trump. I don't think snitch is the right way to say this, but it doesn't matter. What we have here is the special counsel, Jack Smith was cutting checks at your expense, basically taking your tax dollars and giving people tens of thousands of dollars, at least this person, 20,000 bucks to try and cook up a criminal investigation, a criminal prosecution of Donald Trump and the people around him. How much more could this possibly stink? Thanks to Cash Patel for continuing to reveal all of this. They keep pumping out the details. You know what else they've pumped out about Arctic Frost? They pumped out that Jack Smith was spying on the cell phones of, like, everybody. He was spying on Bill Stepien. That's the former Trump campaign manager, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, Cleta Mitchell. These were lawyers for President Trump. They were spying on Bernard Kerik, the late Bernie Kerik, who was leading A team of investigators looking into the 2020 election. He's being spied on because he was looking into the 2020 election. Do you hear the English language words that are coming out of my mouth right now? He was looking into the election, so the government started spying on him. They went after everybody. They also went after United States senators. They were sweeping up members of Congress, Lindsey Graham, Marsha Blackburn, Ted Cruz. They're going after these people. It's also crazy, but that's what Jack Smith was doing. And as, as Judge Eileen Cannon said, Federal Judge Eileen Cannon, the guy is completely unconstitutional. He wasn't a legitimate special counsel at all. And yet that's what he was up to. This is why you and I are so desperate for full blown criminal prosecutions of these jackasses. People like Jack Smith, Jackass Smith needs to be prosecuted for what he did to our country 100%. And so I'm glad, you know, look, like I said, the FBI can only do so much. The FBI investigates. Do you think Cash Patel knows about this? Hell, yeah. Cash Pel Dahl knows about it. He just released more information about it. He's actively involved in the transparency initiatives. Where does it go from here? Where are the prosecutions on this? What's getting in the way of those prosecutions? And we've got answers on that. The answers include the United States Senate is blocking us from having US Attorneys and federal judges who are worth anything. That's just true. And that means Republicans, yes, by virtue of the blue slip, continue to block us from having the progress we so richly deserve. That's the truth. And one more thing on that. I told you on this past week that the White House has put into place a new fraud assistant Attorney General, somebody who's gonna go after everybody across the country who are committing acts of fraud. Everybody. All these people were stealing from you and me, American taxpayers. The White House is now a prosecutor who works directly for President Trump. And J.D. vance, they're putting this person through Senate confirmation. John Thune has already promised it's going to be a speedy confirmation. That's good to hear. President Trump is watching this very closely. And I told you on Friday that the big detail to pay attention to is that Pam Bondi is not really a part of the process. Now, I'm not concluding anything about Pam Bondi other than the White House decided that she not be a part of the chain of command for this person. That's the only thing I can conclude from it because that's what I've seen and what the President and the vice president have done is they've picked a guy who's going to be the head prosecutor on nationwide fraud with broad jurisdiction. No blue slip concern whatsoever, because they have a nationwide billet, and they're gonna make it through the Senate report directly to the White House. But Pam Bondi is not really in the mix. I find that fascinating, and administration sources tell me that that's a keen insight. That's a keen insight to be observing that. So as things move ahead, I want you just to remember this detail because it does seem like it matters quite a bit. Now, what does it mean? Only time will tell us. But I do think it's interesting that they've removed all the friction and now we're going after fraudsters, which we need to do. I've got more information on fraudsters coming up. There's a lot more to get to. And I've got Chris Bedford joining us in just a moment. The great Chris Bedford. Stand by for that. Hey. I've been using the bone charge infrared sauna blanket, and my wife Allison, she's been using the bone charge red light face mask ever since they sent these products to us, and we can't recommend them enough. I first turned to the sauna blanket to help with muscle recovery and detoxification. It's become a game changer for us, and it's easy to use. I really like this thing because I can just wrap myself up in this blanket. It's a blanket, and I let the infrared heat work its magic, and it's created a huge difference for me in how I relax and rejuvenate and how I feel afterward. Allison loves the red light face mask. Very cool. We knew about red light technology for a while, but we never had any. And then we got ahold of the red light face mask, and she likes it a lot because it improves your skin's texture, reduces inflammation. She's seen fantastic results. Okay, look, the biggest story in Washington, hilariously right now, is that Jerome Powell has to answer questions for the Justice Department. Now, I don't see why that's a big deal, considering all of the misery the left subjected Trump and the people around him to. Just answer some damn questions. Why is it an epic scandal in Washington that Jerome Powell has to answer to anybody?
Chris Bedford
I mean, for the last couple of years, last 10, 20, 30 years, really, you hear this word, democratic democracy, Democratic norms bandied about all the time. And what it's actually meant the whole time is DC gets to do what it wants, liberals get to do what they want. When Republican wins an election is called undemocratic because this or that, the Electoral College, and the only democratically elected person representing the entire country, the President of the United States, is undemocratic when he tries to get these bureaucrats to answer for things. Now, this is something that you can get mad at Trump and his doj, but it was also something that was referred to the DOJ by Congress because that's where Jerome Powell is accused of having perjured himself in Congress. But they're going to have a difficult time, I think, trying to hold these bureaucrats or anyone in D.C. accountable. There are active activities, activist groups in D.C. and Northern Virginia and the area that train people to make sure to sabotage grand juries. That's why, while you were able to get charges against Donald Trump, like you just mentioned, on the most outlandish things, completely ridiculous cockamamie charges all over the country. You can't even get a grand jury indictment on James Comey or someone who openly, flagrantly lied to Congress. So I think they're gonna have a hard time with this. The grand juries around here are just far too liberal and not actually interested in holding DC accountable. And people on DC are freaking out because they don't wanna be asked any questions. They wanna be able to lie. They Wanna be able to perjure. They want Steve Bannon to go to prison. They want Donald Trump to go to prison, but not themselves. That's undemocratic. And that's kind of the pattern we've been seeing for these many years.
Vince Colonnade
Yeah, no, that's exactly right. Also in the midst of all of this is this ongoing claim that we have fourth branches of government. Like that the Federal Reserve is some sort of independent thing that has nothing to do with the structures of our government. But who appoints the members of the board of the Federal Reserve? That's the President of the United States. What did the founders envision when they set up our government? Three clearly delineated branches of government. The very structure of the Federal Reserve. Not to sound like Ron Paul, but it's true. The very structure of the Federal Reserve is completely unconstitutional. And this is yet another great opportunity to remind people of that.
Chris Bedford
This goes way back. This sort of fight goes way back to the founders. You got Alexander Hamilton, whose statues in front of the treasury fighting Thomas Jefferson over whether or not this should even be something that exists, whether the United States should be going to the debt, whether the United States should be regulating monetary policy. And the power has only grown. I mean, I'm no libertarian, but you got a good point. I read Ron Paul's book, the Revolution. I read a couple of his books back in the day. He's got a really couple of good points about the Federal Reserve. And if you look at this expansion that they're doing right now and these renovations and the billions of dollars that are being spent on it and those ridiculous early plans for it that included beehives. Luxury beehives. I didn't know that was actually a luxury product. I thought if you had beehives in your office building, you needed an exterminator. But I guess this is part of the new special elevators. I'm not exact. I can't even follow all this stuff that they're trying to do over there at the Federal Reserve. And they're gonna have to answer some of these questions. But, you know, Trump's also. He's just ticking everyone in D.C. off. I guess the Venezuela thing. People seems to like that in Washington, D.C. but he's going after a lot of these different sacred cows, these folks like the Federal Reserve, and trying to hold them accountable. And that's extremely unpopular with both parties in Washington.
Vince Colonnade
Yeah. By the way, I wasn't trying to take a glancing blow at Ron Paul. I love Ron Paul. I'm not a Libertarian, but I love I think he's charmin and he's totally right about that. It is amazing to me. Meanwhile, also going on in the country right now. And I'm gonna play some video coming up of this, Chris, but we've got the chaos in Minneapolis and I feel like this whole sequence where the Somalis steal billions of dollars, many billions of dollars from the American people. After all of the generosity we have shown to Somali refugees to turn around and then steal north of 9 billion, investigators think that there are $18 billion at least in suspicious payments out the door, most of which have gone to Somali fraudsters. I feel like if there's a blessing in any of this, it is opening the minds of the American people to just how much fraud is going on at the hands of Democrats and how important it is that if you're going to come to our country, that you actually assimilate not just to our culture, but to our laws.
Chris Bedford
Yeah, I mean, it's highlighting some really important things. If you go to Minneapolis, I don't know when the last time you've had the pleasure. I got to swing through in 2020, right before the elections in the fall before. So it had been a little bit since the summer of riots. And it was a hellscape. I mean, we stopped at I think a Hilton or a Marriott and the maitre d came out a great guy and said, you can't. Don't use our parking lot. Your car will be destroyed by riders tonight. There's a parking garage across the street. Park inside over there. We went to one of the few remaining restaurants. This lights were still on and the waiters were timid. They were worried. It was a nice spot, an old school American 80 year old steakhouse. They said the Starbucks across the street had been burned down twice. The second time because they deigned to serve a cup of coffee to a police officer. It was a nightmarish place, at least at that period of time. The downtown was completely deserted. And to see these folks out there in the streets chasing harassing ICE agents and it's really coordinated. Sarah Bedford, my wife, did a story for the examiner where she was going through their Excel sheets, their spotting sheets, their tactics sheets. This is all organized stuff to try and disrupt federal agents. And I know a lot of it's AI, but a lot of it's also real, these videos that have been just coming out day after day, many, many a day of people screaming at federal officers, at neighbors and who you kind of expect to be a normal person coming out of their house screaming and Looking like damn fools at these federal officers who are out there just trying to do their work. Folks getting chased out, not even in uniform for trying to get breakfast at some place, by the way, a bunch of them like Hispanic and things like that. The reaction here is just over the top and wild. And if there's one thing that the Democrats maybe have a point about, it's like, why are you singling out the Somalians? Well, $9 billion to $18 billion at one point. But to their credit, this is across a lot of different blue states. This is not just Somalians in Minnesota, there's so such an unbelievable level of welfare fraud and benefits fraud in our country that is facilitated and protected by Democrats. It is worth an investigation. Let's broaden it beyond the Somalians and talk about the broader issues here. And by the way, as an American taxpayer who has to budget grocery bills in order to be able to pay for childcare, I'm a little irritated. I mean, why don't you send me some childcare money? Maybe I'll open up a daycare in my house. Because that stuff's not cheap and a lot of American families are struggling with this. It hits on so many issues.
Vince Colonnade
Well, if you opened up a daycare at your house, you'd actually be taking care of kids, which you have. Yeah. So I mean, the other thing is like, think about the scale of this. These are some of the most brazen, low IQ fraud scenarios imaginable. Be like, hey, cut us a check. We're watching kids. There are no kids. Right. It's like, it's not, it's not even that creative of an effort that they're undertaking. Like they're stealing money. They're not actually putting people in houses. There's no.
Chris Bedford
Turns out, it's easy.
Vince Colonnade
It's just, it's super easy. And it's super brain dead the way they're stealing this money. Imagine if things are even slightly more sophisticated in other places in the country. The Somalis are running brazen, low IQ theft operations. But imagine people who are even just a little bit more sophisticated, how much money is being stolen from us right now.
Chris Bedford
It's incredible the amount of, the amount of folks. I grew up with a lot of guys who kind of pursued this career of scamming the system that seems to be, they put the amount of brain power these guys put towards gaming the system, taking money, this benefit, that benefit, this benefit, that benefit, stacking them up in order to control, in order to pay for their entire life without ever working. I mean, Honestly, I think it would almost be easier for some of these guys to get a job. But this fraud is really just a widespread thing and there's a real risk here, not just with the fraud and all the American taxpayers who struggle to pay for childcare looking around and saying, well, I could have just been getting this stuff for free or all you have to. The only thing that's stopping you is just a lack of respect for the law that other people don't have because it doesn't take that much intelligence. It turns out to be steal billions of dollars. You can just do it if you're not willing to follow the rules. And then you look out and you see the lawlessness in Minneapolis's streets and it starts to cause a dangerous phenomenon in the law abiding Americans. If half the country doesn't want to obey the laws, period, they have no respect for them. And if half of the laws are supposed to protect and who do respect those laws start to lose respect for the people who are enforcing them and saying that this law doesn't matter, then you're in for a really dangerous situation. Then you end up with an entire country that doesn't respect the law and doesn't respect the order and doesn't follow the rules. When that respect breaks down, your country's in danger. And this is, I think, worse even in some levels in 2020, in those race riots and those looting, because this is showing just how involved all the politicians are. It's showing how systemic this is and it's showing that there's a huge amount of just seemingly normal people who have no respect for federal agents, who are willing to put themselves at risk, put the agents at risk all over the country. I think the United States is headed for a dark place. And this will be one of the chapters of the history book.
Vince Colonnade
Okay, I mean, this is a big question because it probably involves hours worth of litigating how we got here. But to ask you simply, how is it that we have so many people in our population who've become convinced that law enforcement is in fact the bad guys and that the bad guys are the heroes of this story? How did we arrive at a place where massive numbers of people in our population are enough to cause trouble? Think that the men and women who get up each morning and put the badge and the gun on are actually the bad guys? How did we get there?
Chris Bedford
I mean, there's a large disrespect for law enforcement in our culture and our music and our movies. There's a completely wrong headed idea that's been taught in every school from grade school to middle school to high school to college, that the United States is not a country, it's just a creed, it's an idea. It's that anybody can come here. And the number one thing of the United States is Emma Lazarus poem and the Statue of Liberty that we stand simply as a beacon for the address. But there's also, there's a. There's a bit of a worldview that goes into this. And I think the Internet's really fed into this. Conservatives generally see the world as barbarians versus civilization, and that's how they try to break it down. And that's what they're willing to protect. And the liberal mindset oftentimes is oppressor versus oppressed. And it's as simple as that. So if you see these people who you feel are being oppressed and you see police who are trying to just maintain the law and actually hold people accountable and protect our borders, you think of those people as oppressors and you're willing to fight. And there's also. You see a lot of these people out there are either women or extremely feminine men. It's a lot of Tim Waltzes out there and the guys and a lot of women and women are very naturally going to be more empathetic. They're going. They want to care for people, they want to take care of people. That's why. That's what I mean. That's why mothers are so much better with children than fathers, because it just comes naturally. The Internet and social media has made it so that all these oppressed people, or all these people who are downtrodden or all these people who seem like they're on the wrong side of the coin for this are being put on your screens every single day. It's like a toxic degree of empathy is being pushed onto American liberal women and feminized men in a way that makes them feel like they need to be part of this resistance, they need to protect. Those instincts that protect children and protect puppies are now going towards Somali criminals and going towards illegal gang bangers. I mean, you've got the. Was it the chief of police out in Washington State crying because he didn't want to typecast the Ms. 13 people who were pulled over by ICE. These are gang members. You're a cop. Why are you crying on camera? You're an adult man. It's toxic level empathy, completely driven by the Internet and it's really damaging. I mean, as damaging as the Internet is to children and constant social media. It seems to be wreaking a lot of havoc on the adult population as well.
Vince Colonnade
Well, this goes back to family, I think. I mean, my. My suspicion when I see all of these people is that they have disordered family lives or disordered childhoods. When I. When I say disordered, it means that there's no hierarchy in their house. There's no respect for authority, there's no healthy relationships or very few. And so when. When your life is completely chaotic and disordered, you think you've got to basically take. You have to do everything on your own. You have no respect for the people who are supposed to be in charge of you whatsoever. And then you go out into society and then you constantly operate with that assumption that everybody above you deserves disrespect, or anybody who's involved in restoring order deserves disrespect. Fundamentally, I always think it goes back to family life. Even our ability to acknowledge the existence of God as a loving father emanates from whether or not you understand what a loving father even looks like. So, like, all of this comes back to how disordered are our households. And it turns out among the people who are burning down America's cities, they come from very disordered homes.
Chris Bedford
I think that's a really deep and important point. And it's something. I mean, you see it with the tragic case of the woman Goode, who was shot last week. She lost control custody of two of her children, which is, by the way, not an easy thing to have happen if you're a mother in American legal systems. She lost her second husband. I don't know what that woman was going through. She was now in a lesbian relationship with this third child that she had from the second husband and was out there putting herself in harm's way and putting agents in harm's way and spending her days harassing police because maybe it gave her a cause that was bigger than herself. She didn't. I mean, my cause is bigger than myself, aside from the church, is my family. I did a lot of dumb things when I was a teenager and some dumb things in my 20s. I'm not doing those sort of dumb things now because got a little girl and a little boy to come back to and a wife and people who are reliant on me. There's no disorder there. My family and religion and country come before the latest cause. Let's just think that makes me feel like I'm an active participant, like I'm a good mother, like I'm a caring person. I'm a good father, a caring person. I've got that right here. And I think a lot of people are really lacking that. And they search for it a cause that seems bigger than themselves and makes themselves feel like a hero. And when they come from a disordered life or disordered background or moral compass, that leads them in the wrong direction.
Vince Colonnade
Okay. Finally, of course, the underlying concern as we talk about this among this audience, certainly for me and anybody who talks about all of these tragedies, is what do we do about it? Clearly, sort of the bigger questions about family and faith obviously play a huge role here. But in the immediate term, what do we do about restoring order? Chris, I'm pretty convinced that President Trump should do what so many other presidents have done and actually invoke the Insurrection act to restore order to places like Minneapolis. I think it's long past time to stop flirting with it and just actually do it. Just announced you are doing a limited invocation of the Insurrection act to restore order to America's cities. What do you think needs to be done?
Chris Bedford
Yeah, unfortunately, that's where this needs to go. I mean, you can't have a time machine and go back in time to when these folks are out there in the streets for 15 and punched them in the face, which is what they probably needed. They probably needed to have some accountability at some point in their life on the schoolyard. Never got it. Now they've got this complex where they can go out there and shut down cities and they got the backing and shut down federal law enforcement and put federal agents in danger and they have the backing of their politicians. It seems like an open and shut case when you've got the mayor and the governor out there backing people who are resisting federal legal law enforcement. That's an Insurrection act offense and something that. And this is a test case because this is all over the country and the only way to change it is to hold people accountable. It's maddening to see all these videos of all these people just getting, attacking and pushing and trying to grab police officers, guns, and it's getting pushed back. Guess what? They're not even spending the night in jail. That's insane, people. How about a week in jail? How about two weeks in jail? How about three weeks in jail? How about you learn, how about you're off the streets for a little bit and you learn that there are consequences. You have to call your job and call your family or call your husband or your wife and say, I'm not going to be home to take care of the kids. Tonight because I'm in lockup because I tried to grab a police officer's gun. You need that accountability. And if the mayor and the governor won't do it, then the feds are going to have to do it.
Vince Colonnade
Yeah. Big time. All right. Chris Bedford with the Blaze. Thank you, as always, man. And I will bring you those IPX nicotine toothpicks. Coming up on our goose hunt. Thanks, brother.
Chris Bedford
I can't wait. See you.
Vince Colonnade
It's going to be good. Thanks, man. Okay. On Minneapolis, what we were just discussing this lawlessness. Of course, the insurrection is happening at all levels, whether it's the street urchins who are, like, absolutely. Causing all sorts of violence in the city, all the way up to the government officials who are obviously okay with it. They're even encouraging it. You get people like Ilhan Omar. She joined the protesters, the agitators, in Minneapolis this weekend. And here's what she had to say. Cut three. Watch this.
Ilhan Omar
You all have refused to back down. You all have decided that this resistance is not one that can be intimidated. We are showing the nation that regardless of what the tyrant in the White House believes, we know that we are here to stay. And this is our country. We are going to make a life here, and we are going to stand up for our neighbors here in Minneapolis. As many of you know, they came to terrorize, abduct, and deport Somali immigrants here in Minnesota when they couldn't find any because majority of us are legal residents. And the majority, they decided to terrorize our Latino immigrants.
Vince Colonnade
Yeah. So what you just heard was an avalanche of lies and an inversion of the truth. She spent the weekend doing this. She was going on various television shows claiming the Trump administration's hassling Somalis for no reason and that nobody did anything wrong and that they're just trying to deport American citizens. Look, the Trump administration is doing exactly the job that we hired them for. They're going after fraudsters, they're going after criminals. And whether you like it or not, sweetheart, your entire community is suspect. Given that every single person, almost every single. Not every, but almost every single person who's been convicted of this dramatic fraud against the American taxpayer has been Somali. It's not even a close call. And yet she stands there on the back of a pickup truck, broadcasting over her loudspeaker talk about Third World, that everything is fine and the Trump administration are the bad guys. No, you are. You married your brother to commit immigration fraud, and you're still lecturing the rest of us about decency. It's disgusting. Ilhan Omar is disgusting. And she goes ON here's cut five to say that the Trump administration is, quote, disappearing U.S. citizens. These are just made up things. Here's Ilhan Omar just making something up on the back of that truck.
Ilhan Omar
And when people are disappeared in the darkness, American democracy dies Congress. And it is really important for every single person in this country to understand that they are not only disappearing people who have committed crimes, who are in this country undocumented, they are disappearing US Citizens. They are disappearing people who have proper documentation, sometimes telling them that their documentations are wrong, keeping them for days upon days. We've also seen people be deported who have proper documentation yet to be returned to this country. This should not be allowed in a country that roots in itself in freedom and liberty. There is no, no freedom. When you are being detained and your government is being turned against you. This should be appalling to everyone.
Vince Colonnade
You just goofed. What a goof. Nobody's being disappeared by the Trump administration. Everybody. You know, when I talk about being documented, everybody's being picked up and documented and deported. If you're supposed to be deported, you're getting deported from the United States of America. Exactly what's supposed to happen? You, you know what disappearing is? Disappearing is what left wing jurisdictions do. When they get criminal illegal aliens into custody and then hide them from the federal government to obstruct justice, they disappear these people, they let them out the back door, they guide them away, they obstruct federal law enforcement from doing the job. The disappearing act is on the left, the accountability is on the right. That's what President Trump is leading right now. Ilhan Omar this weekend also went on to say that she wants to get her community, I assume she means Somalis in Minnesota, to, quote, make sure that these people pay for what they have done. Pay? I'm sorry, we've paid enough. We're paying upwards of $19 billion to your fraud schemes. You want us to pay for what we've done. What does that mean if not threatening us directly? Ilhan Omar, she thinks she's so clever. She's like, oh, no, no, no. I just meant, I just meant. What did you mean? Threats coming from Ilhan and friends and these lefties are not limited to Ilhan Omar. This craziness we also have, as you just heard, Chris Bedford talking about the Portland, Oregon police chief who was crying this weekend. This is one of the craziest videos I've ever seen. Crying Portland Oregon Police Chief Bob Day. His name's Bob Day. He Started crying during a press conference Friday that trend Aragua gangsters were just shot by immigration enforcement. So we have immigration law enforcers who are out doing their jobs and under threat from trend Aragua gangsters. They open fire, shooting two of these idiots. And the police chief of the city regrets that he has to share this news and then starts literally crying because he says he feels so bad for the Hispanic community. What the hell is he even talking about? Take a look at the police chief Cut seven.
Chris Bedford
They do have some nexus to involvement with tda. We can confirm that. I want to speak for just a moment specifically to my Latino community. It saddens. It saddens me that we even have to qualify these remarks, because I understand, or at least have attempted to understand through your voices, your concern, your fear, your anger. This information in no way is meant to. To disparage or to condone or support or agree with any of the actions that occurred yesterday.
Vince Colonnade
He doesn't agree with law enforcement. He doesn't agree with people enforcing the law in his community. What are you even saying? Why are you wearing that badge? Take it off. You're disgusting. And then he starts crying on behalf of the Hispanic community. What does the Hispanic community have to do with trend Aragua? What the hell is he even talking about? So if some skinhead was caught committing a crime, do you issue an apology to the white community? What? Do you.
Chris Bedford
What?
Vince Colonnade
Do you understand how crazy this sounds? Of course you do. This guy's got some emotional issues. He's got some deep mental health problems that he's got to resolve. He should not be anywhere near law enforcement. He's crying.
Chris Bedford
I feel so bad for the Hispanic community.
Vince Colonnade
What? What are you talking about? The Hispanic community is not trend day Aragua, you psycho man. Talk about judging people merely on the basis of their skin color. That's what that dude was doing. Imagine how much crying he's gonna do when he finds out that we think he's a racist. Because he's a racist. I can't even believe the world that our country's in right now. Yeah, Portland. Yeah, I hate to say it. I'm sure there's lots of good people in Portland. There are good people, but long suffering. Long suffering. Somebody said Portland sucks in the chat. Yes, indeed. Host: Vince Coglianese
Guest: Chris Bedford, Senior Politics Editor, The Blaze
Date: January 12, 2026
In this episode, Vince Coglianese dives into seismic shakeups in conservative media, the shock criminal investigation into Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, explosive revelations surrounding federal and political corruption, and the chaos in Minneapolis linked to massive welfare fraud and immigration enforcement. Vince is joined by Chris Bedford to give insider context on Washington’s reaction to these events, the double standards in law enforcement, and the deeper cultural trends fueling lawlessness in America’s cities.
The tone is irreverent, deeply skeptical of the Washington establishment, and unapologetically conservative, with both wit and simmering frustration at the week’s events.
