Hey, everybody. Welcome to Vince on a Monday. Man, it is so great to have you with us. The best damn audience in media. We have a big show for you today. The president is cracking down on crime, and he's having a lot of success doing it. So far, things are going Great in Washington, D.C. have you heard of. Remember Homicide? Remember when Homicide was a thing? Right now it's not a thing in the nation's capital. Amazing. I'll get into the data on that coming up. Also, the president's gonna take it on to another city next. He wants to go to Chicago. We'll get into the details there. Uh, we've got J.D. vance going on the Sunday shows this weekend, smacking the media around. Fantastic news. Also, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, he was free, and now he's back in custody. I just can't even get over how ridiculous this whole Kilmar Abrego Garcia saga is. In other words, we have a lot to get to today on this edition of Vince. I'm glad you're here for it. A lot more to get to. Hey, before we move along, though, I want to thank the great sponsors who make this entire show possible. Have you heard, by any chance, of the audience effect? You ever heard of the audience effect? It's the psychological theory that every person's behavior changes when they know they're being watched. Like me, for instance. Moments ago, I wasn't talking to a camera. Now I'm talking to a camera. I know I'm being watched. Here's the thing. We're all being watched. Every time you use the Internet, your service provider is recording everything that you do online. Don't want to fall victim to this digital version of the audience effect. You don't have to just get ExpressVPN. With ExpressVPN, 100% of my online activity. Well, it's rerouted through secure, encrypted servers. And this makes it impossible for my ISP to see what I'm doing online. None of their business. ExpressVPN also hides your IP address so data brokers can't use it to build a profile on you, then sell it to marketers and other companies. ExpressVPN is easy to use. It just takes a click. Just one. And it works on all of your devices. And you can use it on up to eight devices and at once. So right now, you can get an extra four months of privacy protection for free. When you use my special link, go to expressvpn.com vince and get four extra months of ExpressVPN that's E X P R E S s v p n.com Vince okay, we've got the President of the United States doing something that nobody remembers ever happening before in Washington D.C. in fact, for the first time in living memory, Washington D.C. has now gone a dozen days without a homicide. A dozen days. How is that even possible that this has been achieved? John Lott pointing out this weekend, the great John Lott from the Crime Prevention research center that D.C. has marked when he posted this. It was yesterday in the afternoon. 11 days, make it 12 now, without a homicide after President Trump's takeover. Now what are the odds of that occurring? Well, he looked back at the 2024 data and he said it was 0.35%. The chances of a 12 day stretch was 11 days yesterday. An 11 day stretch without any homicides, 0.35%. And then for 2025's first seven months, 0.58% chance that this could even happen. In other words, like it's impossible. It is completely impossible. If D.C. continued with the status quo, if it continued the way it was being run into the ground where criminals get to do whatever they want, they get to murder with a reckless abandon, they get to steal cars, they get to break into stuff, they get to mug people on the streets, they get to shoot up fentanyl no matter where they are. Just out of control behavior. Totally allowed by the lefties who ran DC who do run dc. The President taking the reins and it is paid off big time. The lives being saved, John Lott points out, are all black. Almost entirely black lives being saved in all of this. The media not really interested in telling you that story. And so John points out this is huge, huge, great news to see now. It's not the only data point that we've got going on. The D.C. police Union has been really happy with the President here. Here's the change in crime. This is ready for this. Here's the change in crime stats other than murder, which we know is way down since the President took over. That's for two weeks now, the President has run the operation and they compared it to the 14 days before that. And here's what they learned in the process. Robbery in Washington D.C. as of right now is down 42%. 42%, that's as of this morning, it's down that much. Assault with a deadly weapon is down 13% in the nation's capital. Carjackings are down 85%. Car theft 24%. Violent crime 25%. Property crime 10%. And total crime is down 11%. The D.C. police Union says that it's great to have the feds helping out. They love it. But they also say that the D.C. council's ridiculous anti police laws need to be repealed. It's called the Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Act. This is the thing that made it really hard for cops in D.C. you know, in D.C. the cops are not allowed to chase bad guys. If the bad guy gets in the car, drives off, cop can't chase him. And the cops are like, this is crazy. We have to get back to a place where we can chase the bad guys. You know, in D.C. the cops are not allowed to use their own body camera footage when they write down a police report. They can't look at the camera footage that they captured on their outfit when they fill out the police report. And then if there's a discrepancy between the written police report that just comes from the cops memory versus the camera, the bad guy gets away with it. It's thrown out in court. Oh, sorry, sorry, can't, can't have that. And so that's the way DC has been operating for a very long time. And the handcuffs, if there aren't anyone, it's been on the cops in D.C. and so the President of the United States has stepped in and said, no, no, no, we're going to change this around. We're going to, we're going to get rid of all this crime and we're going to help the cops. We're going to support them. So the good news is that D.C. has been a massive success story. So this is great. Obviously we should take this to the next level. Don't you think, folks? We should get to the next level where the Congress does its job again. They repeal D.C. home rule and they take over the nation's capital. They run the business of the nation's capital again, as they did before the 1970s, before they abdicated their responsibility for the Capitol and of course have hurt it so badly by doing that. So that's the good news out of D.C. the president looks at this and goes, okay, is this transferable? Can we take this elsewhere? And the answer is, oh yes, we can. Yes, indeed. The President of the United States saying this past week he wants to move on to Chicago next. Next up is Chicago. And what we have here is a. There's a report out of wls, this report out of the WLS television station, ABC in Chicago. And they write that a US official has confirmed that the Pentagon is planning a National Guard deployment in Chicago, according to Mayor Brandon Johnson. He's very upset about this. That's, you know, Brandon Johnson. He's a terrible mayor, very poorly rated, lowest approval rating in the country. In fact, he's the most disliked BJ in the entire country. We have here. According to wls, a US Official confirmed to ABC News Sunday that the Pentagon is drafting plans for the potential use of National Guard troops in Chicago. Now a Pentagon spokesperson saying, we're not going to speculate on further operations. The department is planning organization. Is a planning organization and is continuously working with other agency partners on plans to protect federal assets and personnel. Mayor Brandon Johnson says he's in contact with county and state officials, but he says he's heard nothing from the White House. He called a possible National Guard deployment in Chicago costly, illegal and unconstitutional. Of course. Of course, this Democrat who's destroying his own city is angry that someone might come in and rescue it from him and what he's done to that city. Insanity. The Washington Post did report that the President is planning on deploying thousands, thousands of National Guard troops to the city of Chicago to bring some order to a city that desperately needs it, a great American city that needs to be restored to peace. And the President wants to do that. The leadership in Chicago doesn't. Brandon Johnson doesn't. In fact, here's Brandon Johnson this weekend complaining on one of the Sunday shows, cut one, that the President is doing something that he hates. So therefore it's bad. It's bad for our country. Chicago's a mess. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent, and we'll straighten that one out probably next. That'll be our next one after this, and it won't even be tough.
