It’s We Can Wednesday and tonight we’ll be joined by security boss and crime-fighting hero, Prem Balram. A familiar face on the local streets of the KZN North Coast, well known in the media and often heard on radio news bulletins, he is the CEO of private security company, Reaction Unit South Africa. Their team is passionate about combating crime and has essentially revolutionised the security industry with their maverick-style tactics, that usually sees the bad guys end up behind bars.

The Competition Commission has released proposed amendments to its guidelines to small merger notifications, which are set to take effect after the 7th June 2021. Tonight we’ll be speaking to Misha van Niekerk, a Senior Associate in the Competition Law department. She specialises in competition law and advises a number of large corporate entities in respect of all aspects relating to competition law. She holds qualifications from the University of Stellenbosch and Wits.

Tonight on Medical Monday, we’ll be joined by Dr Cassim Hansa, a Cardiologist at the EThekwini Heart Hospital. Dr Hansa is involved with both elective and emergency admissions, managing chronic stable cardiac conditions and acute myocardial infarction. He’ll be talking to us about the warning signs and dangers of hypertension, as well as telling us how to best deal with the situation of high blood pressure.

The South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, a non-governmental organisation, focusing on the prevention and treatment of alcohol and drug dependence. This is done through the provision of specialised accessible prevention and treatment services, enhancing the quality of life and restoring the self-respect and dignity of people affected by alcohol and other drugs. Tonight on We Can Wednesday, we speak with leading expert and organisational spokesperson Thembekile Msane.

It’s Medical Monday and we’re joined by Dr Amith Keshave, a Paediatric Neurologist, with a special interest in Autism, Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. It’s Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day and he’ll tell us about the signs, symptoms, treatment and process of the condition.

It’s We Can Wednesday and tonight we’ll be speaking with South African golfing sensation, Simthandile Tshabalala. Not only is he South Africa’s youngest top golfer at just nine years old but he’s also one of the most talented, in his age group, across the globe.

Tonight, on Tuesday Showcase, we speak with Dr Tracy Ledger of the Public Affairs Research Institute on how and why municipalities are responsible for implementing all the free basic services and have the sole decision-making authority on whether or not to register a household for these benefits.
