In fact, Russian milblogger Military Informant just said, “There is progress, provided that the enemy does not sharply increase its attacks.” So today we're looking at the four ways Russia is trying to mitigate the impact of the Ukrainian middle strike campaign: stopping traffic, mobile counter drone teams, jamming Starlink and passive measures. Motor fundraiser for the 34th: https://valormedianetwork.com/34th-marine-brigade-fundraiserThere’s a silent war going on inside of the war between Russia and Ukraine. Partisans, behind the front lines, risking everything to support Ukraine. These are people operating in the shadows today in an area where even the slightest suspicion can lead to brutal torture sessions and often, death.Today we’re joined by Ken Harbaugh to discuss his coverage of this topic in a new article in the Atlantic. Ken is a former US Navy Fighter pilot, and president of Valor Media Network and he was gracious enough to let me tag along into Kherson with him a few weeks back.Source article: https://www.theatlantic.com/international/2026/06/underground-intelligence-network-russia-ukraine/687578/?gift=_BCcSoTFfySI8FJKr2YrkvBZCS4-LN9_No3LJbEDlQw&utm_source=copy-link&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=shareFollow Ken on Substack: https://substack.com/@thekenharbaughshowStore: https://prestonstew.shop/ Join the community on Substack: https://prestonstew.substack.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/prestonstew_TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@prestonstewInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/prestonstew_/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/people/Preston-Stewart/61584740132063/Unclassified Podcast Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4YmaFZihykI0iov9XgQ0uD?si=efe0b3bd89b6421dYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheUnclassifiedPodContact: preston@warstories.co Learn more about your ad choices. This is a city in the east facing encirclement by Russian forces and each day it becomes a little harder to get supplies and soldiers in, and the wounded out. To better understand how the situation there is playing out we’re joined today by Francis Farrell, a journalist for the Kyiv Independent who recently traveled this road to showcase just how precarious it is.We talk about the Russian assault tactics in that sector, how Ukraine is keeping their guys supplied in this fight and moreFrancis on X: https://x.com/francisjfarrellYouTube video showing Kostiantynivka : https://youtu.be/DXYbiz-_xVg?si=JnPph6qRgiy2wb-LTruck fundraiser through Car4Ukraine: https://car4ukraine.com/campaigns/preston-stewart-summer-offensiveStore: https://prestonstew.shop/Join the community on Substack: https://prestonstew.substack.com/Twitter: https://twitter.com/prestonstew_TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@prestonstewInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/prestonstew_/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/people/Preston-Stewart/61584740132063/Unclassified Podcast Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4YmaFZihykI0iov9XgQ0uD?si=efe0b3bd89b6421dYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheUnclassifiedPodContact: preston@warstories.co Learn more about your ad choices. New intel suggests that Putin is relocating air defense systems from around the country to Moscow. In other words, Putin and the Moscow elite will be better protected at the expense of the soldiers at the front and the overall Russian economy. If this is accurate, it’s hard to overstate it’s significance. The problem Russia faces is that every day, they have to protect a larger area with fewer assets. And not everything can be a priority which means quite a few areas are going to become even more vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes. I mean it’s one thing for a single drone to slip through here or there but we’re seeing dozens of strikes each day against high value targets in areas that Russia knows it has to protect. This is genuinely a time in the war unlike anything we’ve seen over the past four years. Learn about our Car4Ukraine campaign here: https://car4ukraine.com/en-US/campaigns/preston-stewart-offensive-2026The situation in Crimea is worsening for Russia by the day. Overnight, following Ukrainian strikes on the Kerch Strait ferry crossing, Crimean government officials warned that fuel is no longer available for sale except to military and state services. This follows sustained strikes on all means to keep the peninsula supplied and creates a major problem for Russia as they'll need to divert resources to keep the area habitable.Store: https://prestonstew.shop/Join the community on Substack: https://prestonstew.substack.com/Twitter: https://twitter.com/prestonstew_TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@prestonstewInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/prestonstew_/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/people/Preston-Stewart/61584740132063/Unclassified Podcast Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4YmaFZihykI0iov9XgQ0uD?si=efe0b3bd89b6421dYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheUnclassifiedPodContact: preston@warstories.co Learn more about your ad choices. For context we recorded this at 9am Central on Friday June 19th.One week ago the US stance was zero nuclear enrichment for Iran, they had to hand over all of their highly enriched uranium and the ballistic missile program had to be destroyed.Today, President Trump has said that only fair that Iran keeps their missiles, that we’re in no rush to get the highly enriched uranium and future enrichment is ok for civilian purposes. That is a dramatic change in a very short period of time so if you’re confused, just know that so am I.To help us unpack what exactly is happening here, we’re joined today by Ambassador Daniel Shapiro.Dan served as the US Ambassador to Israel from 2011 to 2017, and spent time working in the Pentagon, at the State Department on the National Security Council and Capital Hill.Ambassador Shapiro on X: https://x.com/DanielBShapiroStore: https://prestonstew.shop/Join the community on Substack: https://prestonstew.substack.com/Twitter: https://twitter.com/prestonstew_TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@prestonstewInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/prestonstew_/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/people/Preston-Stewart/61584740132063/Unclassified Podcast Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4YmaFZihykI0iov9XgQ0uD?si=efe0b3bd89b6421dYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheUnclassifiedPodContact: preston@warstories.co Learn more about your ad choices. It’s not just the direct effect on the war effort, but Russia is starting to show signs of domestic fuel shortages as well. According to Reuters, Russia one of the world’s largest oil exporters, is set to import fuel this month as Ukraine continues to burn their refineries across the country. There’s a bit of a snowball effect playing out right now that Russia is having a hard time stopping.
