1, 2, 3, 4. Well hello and welcome to Winter is Crappeting. I'm Ronnie and that's Ben over there. Hello Ben.
Ben
Hi Ronnie. How's it going?
Ronnie
Good. We were off last week so we missed an episode of House of the Dr. And it was a good one. This season has stayed pretty good. What do you think?
Ben
It's so good. I love this season. This is the first season of this show where I felt like I've genuinely really am loving the show. I felt like especially the first season I did not like obviously all that time jumping of the timeline, skipping it was just incredibly annoying. It's hard to get into the characters, it's hard to care about what was going on. Last season was definitely better, but it would still sometimes be a bit slow. Now what I really enjoy about this third season is that the stakes have been established and there's lots of different factions and groups that we're tracking and that was what I always felt made Game of Thrones so special was that you have this rich tapestry of people and houses and families of all with their own motivations and it was always so interesting to see the way they would all interweave and how one person's decision in one part of the story would actually have a huge ripple effect in this part of the story and would undermine plans and everything would go wrong. And I felt like, especially in the first season and somewhat in last season, we didn't really get that. And now I feel like the show feels like a complete show and it feels thorough and rich and. And as a result, I'm way more invested than I have been in the Ever before.
Ronnie
Yeah, well, I mean, I've loved it since the start, but I do see, definitely see what you're saying. And this season is the best. I mean, it's been so good. I love all the dragons. It's like massive dragon payoff. I feel like. Yeah, I mean, this one we see mostly dead dragons. Okay, do you think Sunfire is dead or alive? He's got to be alive now, right? Is that what they're doing?
Ben
I think Sunfire is now alive. I think they're. I think they just gave us red crumbs. I mean, I thought that Sunfire's eyeball was gonna open up. Like, I was like. I was like, bracing for it.
Ronnie
Me too. So do you think that. Which is gonna bring the dragon back to life or is it just in like some kind of extended coma?
Ben
I'm not sure. Is the witch gonna make Aegon like that first white walker? Like, isn't. Wasn't that like a thing back in like season one? Like, oh, my God, is Aegon gonna become that. That. That white walker that we all hate? Remember the.
Ronnie
The main white walker? I don't think we ever found out who the main white walker is, but I wasn't there.
Ben
Weren't there a lot of theories that was gonna be Aegon? Cuz wasn't there like a shot of Aegon where you saw like a blue. Blue in his. In his open. Like under his eye patch there was blue. And everyone's like, it's like the white walker. Maybe the witch is going to turn him, like, turn him into the white walker.
Ronnie
Oh, oh, that would be good. I don't know. I. I felt for every theory of who the white walker was, that it was Bran or that it was. Now people are saying Damon or. I don't know now since the show's been on, people have said maybe Damon's the wi. There's so many people that could be him that kind of look like him in a way when they show him. I don't know who it is. George. It's George Bush. I don't know.
Ben
George Bush. Either way, it was. Yeah, it's. It's been great. I've also been so happy to see the show back in King's Landing. I feel like the show is just so much more interesting in King's Landing than when it. When they're in Dragonstone. I always feel like Dragonstone is so dreary. That goes for. That was the same how I felt both in the original Game of Thrones and this one. King's Landing is just like, where it's at. There's more fun stuff happening. There's more. You're a city boy, I'm a city boy. Like, Dragonstone is so blah.
Ronnie
Like, the only place that's chili, it's here. So there's more than the chili's here. You know, there's like, like little, you know, mom and pop places that haven't been completely drowned. Yeah.
Ben
I think the only places worse than Dragonstone are Winterfell. I'll say it. I think Winterfell sucks. I hate Winterfell. And then obviously the Wall. The wall. And north of the wall.
Ronnie
The wall. Oh, the worst.
Ben
The Wall. Every time we have to go to the wall or north of the Wall, we're going on another expedition north of the Wall. I'm like, why? Why? It sucks up there. Just stay at the wall.
Ronnie
Yeah, get me out of the Wall. And so last week we found out. God, so much. So much has happened. I guess we don't have to go over the whole episode. Maybe we should just talk about it as this episode unfurls or what, I think.
Ben
So we. On. On our. On our main show, we did a sort of like, wrap up of the week that was of Bravo when we were off on vacation and we talked about last week's House of the Dragon. So you can definitely listen to some of it there. But the big takeaway from last week was that it was Ray. Ray's first. First week as. As a serving queen and like, she had to deal with all the bureaucracy. And I love the episode because it was just people being like, we're out of candles. And just like, I just want to have a party. Can we have a party? Can I have a. Can I have, like, some sort of, like, special moment? A parade? Could we do, like a. Like a. A ball drop? Is our Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper around? Can we do, like, something for my coronation? Anything?
Ronnie
Yeah. But I did get annoyed with her because. Okay, you come back. There's rats everywhere because stupid Aegon killed all the rat catchers, so there's rats everywhere. The house is A mess. Like, no one's cleaning. All they're worrying about is taking down old flags to put up the new flags. It's like, okay, wow, great. And then the whole town's, like, broke. No one's eating. Everybody's starving. And she's like, can I have a parade? No, you cannot have a parade. And I say it's the same to our leaders. Like, what are you doing having this massive parade when the economy is tanking and all and you're blowing everybody up and all this shit that's going on in the world and now you need a fucking parade, too? That's a billion dollars. No, Ray. Ray. You don't get a fucking parade. Go to work. And I like that. I like that. Being basically ruler of the world is like being mayor. They're like, but people aren't returning their library books. Sometimes she's like, please, just give me a parade.
Ben
It's like, this sucks.
Ronnie
And every time someone comes into power here, you have to watch them go through all of the poor people. Like, but someone's stealing my sheep. Like, I don't give a fuck. I want a parade.
Ben
I know. They're like, we have an issue with the Starbucks on the corner of Westeros Avenue. They're always out of cold brew by 11am could you please fund more beans for The Starbucks?
Ronnie
The McDonald's ice cream machine is always broken. How can that be? Would it perchance, would it be possible
Ben
that when March comes around again, you can ensure that there will be some shamrock shakes for the population?
Ronnie
Oh, the shamrock shake. Oh, my gosh. Can we. No one got the Boardwalk piece? Is there even a boy who even wins McDonald's monopoly? Who wins?
Ben
All right, small council, here's the plan. We shall throw a mighty parade. And as I walk through the streets, I will just throw Monopoly pieces out to the crowd like, well, ma', am, you can't do that. Then everyone wins pieces. McDonald's can certainly not. Can't afford to pay off all the small folk with little free cheeseburgers.
Ronnie
We've already got all the boosters. Except Boardwalk. No one needs Pennsylvania Avenue again, Mum.
Ben
There is no Boardwalk piece. We thought you'd figure this out by now. Are you serious? Yeah. Snowboard walk.
Ronnie
So we open this episode with this little rabbit, like, look, standing up straight and looking around. And then we see Tumbleton. To hear a lot of Tumbleton. Tumbleton, Tumbleton, Tumbleton, Tumble. Name, you're gonna tumble. Nowhere named Tumbleton is going to last. You know, it's like naming your town
Ben
Disaster it's gonna Tumbleton, as far as I can remember. And as we all know, I occasionally have some gaps in my. In my Westeros knowledge, but as far as I can remember, Tumbleton really has not been a major player in. In Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. It's just been this. Honestly, I hadn't even heard of it until. Until. Until.
Ronnie
That's what I'm saying. I think it falls because I don't think we hear a lot about Tumbleton.
Ben
Right.
Ronnie
Oh, by the way, I think this is the part of the podcast we should say, if you're new here. Hi, welcome. This is not where you come for actual knowledge about anything.
Ben
This is. This is where, like, non Game of Thrones nerds, like two non Game of Thrones nerds who watch the show come to discuss what they saw. Yeah, Ronnie's a bit more versed than I am, but, like, we're who watch the show. Okay. Because guess what? Like, people who are not, like, hardcore George R.R. martin fans also watch this show. And this is our takeaway.
Ronnie
Yeah. And actually, I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan. The show. I've watched the show a couple times and then obviously this one a couple times. And I love them, but I'm also kind of a bimbo and don't remember a lot of things, and so I'm very surprised. And the whole time I'm watching the show, I'm searching stuff on that, like, who's this again? And who's that again? Or they'll say somebody's name and I'm looking it up again. I'm like, oh, right. So that's where you are. So enjoy. So anyway, we're in Tumbledon and Tumbleton, and the soldiers. Darren. No, not Darren Ormond. Ormond. Soldiers have taken over this town. And not only did they take over the town, but they're kicking everyone. They're putting a soldier in each of the houses, which.
Ben
Right. Look.
Ronnie
Who does that? Like, if you don't have. I get that they're doing it so that Rhaenyra can't just burn them all with the dragon, but you guys need to have tents or something. Like, you can't. This is my house.
Ben
Yeah. Here's the thing about Tumbleton. It's like, you know, this. This town has already kind of. It's been through a lot. You know, it's already has peaked in its time. There was a time when Tumbleton was like the place to be. It was like if you were. If you lived in, like, King's Landing. You would weekend in Tumbleton and it was like cute. It was like going to the Hamptons and they had like a nice little shop. They may. Had like whatever, whatever. Like the, the, like the, the. They had like a. Like a. What's it called? Sweet Green, maybe. There was like a Lululemon. Whatever. Like the West Rose version. It was like cute. But now it's like not. You can see it's just sort of like past its prime. It's very dusty. It's very dusty, very plain. People there look kind of miserable. They're probably waiting for like a second coming of Tumbleton. This town does not need these soldiers coming in and just taking over homes. Like, it's just. It's just Tumbleton is just trying to survive, just trying to turn around its image. Just trying to launch a tourism campaign. And now you got all these soldiers, all these high towers just taking over people's homes. It's just, it's. It's. It's hard.
Ronnie
Yeah. I feel like if one of. If I was one of those soldiers, I'd be like, invade a better town.
Ben
Yeah.
Ronnie
Why are you putting me up here? This place sucks. Like there's one dq. So they are basically forcing soldier, you know, forcing these families to take in soldiers and stuff. And so a soldier named Garak comes to the home of Cat's brother. Hammer's wife is Cat.
Ben
Yeah.
Ronnie
So we see Hugh Hammer. Cat is being well taken care of. Well, not well, I don't know. Well taken, like I said.
Ben
So here's the thing with Kat. So Kat used to live in King's Landing. And we saw more of Kat last season. Hugh and Cat had like a daughter who was sick the whole season. And then the daughter finally, you know, she. She crossed over. And we saw a little bit of Cat this season because basically when Ray Ray came back to King's Landing, Cat was like, you know what? I'm sick of this. I'm sick of. I'm sick of the city. It's too much. I'm going. I'm going out to the country. So she goes to Templeton thinking she'll be better off there. She moves in with her brother, and first thing that happens, Hightowers come and take over their house and. And specifically this guy Garrick, who we know is bad news because he has a scar. And on this show, if you have a scar, that means you're going to be terrible.
Ronnie
Yeah. And he. The guy's already like, oh, look at you, like doing that. I'm kind of getting Sick of. Well, it's not like it never. It's not like I ever liked it, but the sexual assault stuff on this show is. It's too much. I mean, that's my main note for the show is like, every. What is it? Every week. Come on, guys. Well, I feel like it needs to be something else that you can use to move the plot around besides, like, sexually assaulting the ladies on the show.
Ben
If there's also, like, this show, this universe has such a cynical view of people because anyone who is essentially like an NPC or like a day player on this show, everyone who's just like a. Like a local in the woods just making their way through, or everyone's just an. On this show, every single person that they encounter just on, like, in the. On a meta. In a meadow or on a road, everyone is out to do something terrible at all times. They're either gonna try to take advantage of you or rob you or murder you at all. Like, there's like, just. There's just like, no one who's, like, chill and just, like, pleasant. There's no one who's like, oh, hey, how's it going? Beautiful day.
Ronnie
Okay, welcome to town. Welcome to town. Hope you're comfortable here. Have you ever heard of Pilates? We do that now right down the street. Yeah, Everyone is going to hurt you in some way on this show. So they forced a soldier into this house, and he's like, a really rapey, gross soldier, of course, because it's a Game of Thrones show. So then we go to Ormond, and he has taken over, of course, like, the mansion of the town. And he's, like, taking a bath in the master bedroom. Does he have, like, one of those trays on the bath where he's got something?
Ben
He kind of looks like he's in
Ronnie
the trees in the bath. Like, it's like, oh, I could have my laptop in here.
Ben
What a luxurious bath.
Ronnie
Like, he's really living it up.
Ben
It's like one of those AI TEMU ads. It's like, you could have this in your house. Like, I just was served one that was like, you can, like, last chance to buy a container swimming pool from temu. And it was, like, literally a shipping container that was converted into a swimming pool. And they had this AI image of it just, like, in someone's backyard. I was like, you cannot. What are you talking about? First of all, I doubt you can actually get this on temu. But also, like, why are you serving me these, like, crazy concoctions? And I Kind of feel like that's what his vibe was, sitting there in the bathtub. But he's there. It's the Footleys, Lord and Lady Footley. This is their house. They're the reigning Lords of Tumbleton, and they've been displaced by Ormond, and they're not happy about it whatsoever.
Ronnie
Now they're like, what the hell are you doing? Glad you're comfortable in our ancestral home. And he's like, deal with it. It's like, hi. Oh, you bent the knee to pretend a Rhaenyra Targaryen, did you not? Lady Footly, you want a piece of me?
Ben
And she's like, you're sleeping in our bed chamber. He's like, well, suck it.
Ronnie
He's like, do you want me to prosecute you for treason? Because you'll be dead, Footly. And they're like, we don't want to fight, okay? And he's like, okay, then I get your house. Get the out of here. So he kicks them out, and. Well, to.
Ben
Well, he doesn't just kick them out.
Ronnie
He stands up in the bathtub, and we see his pasty little butt, which is very well done, sir. Yeah, well, like, whatever. Because one thing that. They might have a crunch there, but they have squats. Then the man does them, and apparently a huge wiener to intimidate people with.
Ben
I honestly think Lord Footley was a little turned on because Lady Footley, she was like, well, we swore to the queen because she is the queen. And that's when he stands up, and it's like, well, you'll look at my dick now, because I'm the queen now. And Lord Footley's like, ooh. He's, like, catching. He's, like, stealing some glances, like. So he basically steps out naked in front of. In front of them and other people who are assembled in the room, and he's like, yeah, well, guess what? Here's my dick. Get out of my face.
Ronnie
Yeah. So he's saying, basically, he kicks him out. So then he's like, well, my child. And we see the Prince Darren, the real Prince Darren, because last week, he had sent a decoy, Darren, home with Damon. And it was this little bleach blonde kid who was a nobody, but they were like, just bleach his hair and send him over and we'll trick Ray Ray. And they were tricked. And.
Ben
Yep.
Ronnie
Turns out, of course, Ray Ray is now best friends again with Allison. So Allison came in and was like, yeah, that's not my. It's not my son. Barely seen him. But I can tell you that that is not it. It's not even blonde.
Ben
Yeah. And that's the thing, because if you're wondering how did she know, she tells Ray Ray, you know, remember when I was married to your dad? So I. I bore him two or three Targaryens and I was like, that's it. So I made sure that the next one was definitely a Hightower. So I don't know how I was able to do that, but I was so.
Ronnie
Well, we just. I raised by the Hightowers.
Ben
Oh.
Ronnie
Because yeah, he's a Targaryen because he can, he can control the dragon, but
Ben
he also has dark hair.
Ronnie
Well, the question is whether he has his mom's hair. It looks like they made his hair out of his mom's wigs because it's like the exact same brown with some red in it.
Ben
Yeah. I think what we learned last, last on our last episode is that the Targaryen blonde hair is usually passed down but not always passed down.
Ronnie
Right. I think like regular hair or like
Ben
I would not be surprised if we find out that Ormond is dying Darren's hair. So that way he looks more like a Hightower. Because as we find out later, Dar is absolutely disgusted by the Targaryens. He has actually a. He's got a very sanctimonious stance on the Targaryens, like a religious dance. Cuz he's of the seven.
Ronnie
And I didn't even know they had hair dye back then, but they did bleach the other kids hair and they said blanched. We blanched it. And so I guess, you know, I mean, Ormond, listen, they do a lot of like prissy things with Ormond where they're like, yeah, let's make him like, he's obsessed with potpourri. Like later we see him like with a little home potpourri set that he's making his own potpourri or whatever. So they're making him like very like prissy. And so maybe he is just like really into the like, I can dye your hair. I can curl it. I can.
Ben
Yeah. He's like a bath and body works girly. You know, he's like, he likes some scents, he likes some good soaps. Like he's going to go for like a natural dye. Like he likes the body wax.
Ronnie
Like he's waxed from head to toe, that guy.
Ben
He definitely subscribes to like the GOOP newsletter for sure.
Ronnie
Goop.
Ben
Yeah, he definitely like that. That hair dye is like a natural like crushed pine cone and like resin. Yeah, Mixture of some sort.
Ronnie
He's got his vagina scented candle or whatever. His candle odors.
Ben
Yeah. So it turns out this person.
Ronnie
Could you imagine living back in that time and odors, odors like humans are gross. Odors in general can be just gross. But like humans, like we get the bo. The poop, like whatever. That must be a rough time because I don't think they had deodorant back then.
Ben
They didn't, right? They definitely didn't. The small folk didn't, I'll tell you that much. You know that Tumbleton's reeks. It's very smelling Templeton. All those people in there, their dirt stained outfits.
Ronnie
I mean the main family is called Footley.
Ben
Yeah, they're very.
Ronnie
The foot stinky. It's like I do. I have a family. You know, I don't have to say
Ben
like the, the costume design on the show is really unparalleled. It's so amazing. I mean the detailing on some of these, these leather jackets and everything. And even the he puts on. Ormond winds up when he gets out of the bath, he's naked for a while but then he eventually gets into this robe which is kind of this amazing sort of bell shaped thing. And I was like someone had to actually someone on the set of this show had to make that robe. And it was so well constructed and had such an interesting shape. It was like there's so much artistry in it and there's also artistry in the footlies. The Foleys were wearing this outfit that it's amazing how it connotes that these are middle class like or mid tier lords. Right. Like we see what the wealthy look like. We definitely see what the poor look like. And they're like how do we fashion this world? Something that looks like it's more put together but definitely not as nice as. More put together than the small folk. Not as nice as these. As the. As the high end people that we've been watching. I was like perhaps to the wardrobe department because they are really doing a fantastic job with their costumes on this show.
Ronnie
Yeah, they really do. I still love what's his buns. Okay, Darren, who's the other. What is wrong with me? Damon. I love Damon's black Batman outfit.
Ben
Yes, it's amazing. That's what I was thinking about. Like it's this amazing kind of leather work that they do. Yeah, it's stunning. So anyway, this what we think is Ormond's as you mentioned, as in Darren, we think all this time that Darren is just like the. Like the servant or something. But it turns out it's Darren. And then Sir Bold John Roxton enters. And for those who don't remember like me, he is head of house Roxton and has a Valyrian steel sword called Orphan Maker. How about that's.
Ronnie
That's a rough. It's a rough sword name. Orphan Maker. Little girls, little girls everywhere. So he's got my lord, a raven from Storm's End carrying more excuses from Lord Boros Baratheon. And what's, what's Branthean bitching at?
Ben
I guess there was some issue. There's some issue with the Barantians right now. I don't remember what the Barantians are up to these days.
Ronnie
Well they're wait. Basically we're waiting for Aemond to come with Veigar because the plan was you take over this town. Ray Ray can't burn the town. Vhagar comes and we kill a bunch of fucking people. Veigar can't come because Aemond was stabbed by the witch Alice.
Ben
Well no, he was. No he was. He was.
Ronnie
No he was. Other guy. Yeah, one of the strongest brother. Yeah, one of the strongest kids. Stabbed his ass before he killed or as he was in the process of killing that whole family. Stabbed him right in the muffin top.
Ben
And then Alice just merely watched and was creepy as usual.
Ronnie
Yeah, Alice just watched and came in after and was like hello, do I win now? Like congrats. Now you get Harrenhal. It's burnt to a crisp.
Ben
She's like oh, I see that. I now have you for a whole season where you're gonna have to walk around the stupid castle getting haunted by my visions. Enjoy the next 13 weeks of your life, America.
Ronnie
I know another white blonde male sent to me for dreams. I'm so glad that they haven't had really long episodes of Eamon. Dreams that she.
Ben
I know.
Ronnie
Forcing on him.
Ben
Oh, I wonder if next week we'll see Eamon lying in bed, waking up and seeing a light under his door and seeing footsteps out there and then drawing his sword and opening the door and no one's out there. I wonder. Yeah, because that's basically all of last season for Damon.
Ronnie
Yeah, it was a lot, a lot of dreams.
Ben
Damon's season last year was who's there? No, but great, thanks. Thanks for showing us the scene.
Ronnie

Ronnie
So then we go to Ray Ray and she's like, why would they even take Tumbleton? It's not a stronghold. I mean, why would you do that? So Market's a 1DQ town. Why? It's poorly defended. I mean, what the hell are they doing over there? And they're like, well, they don't want you to burn it, and they know you're not gonna burn all of the people who are loyal to you, so they kind of took it over. Dumbass.
Ben
I feel like Ray Ray is getting a little dumber. She's like. She's like, sort of not quite connecting things as well anymore. I think that maybe she really needed that coronation. I think it's really distracting her.
Ronnie
Well, one thing that nobody on this show has is training to be the king. And that's what funny about it. Like, they're all. They all want it so bad, but they get there and they're like, I don't know how to do this. I mean, the last time it was Egon, and he was like a kid they didn't know. You know, he was just like, I'm gonna go bang a bunch of hookers. So they don't really know. It's not like. It doesn't. It's like parenthood. It doesn't come with a handbook. Am I right?
Ben
That's what I always say with the show. So Orwell is like, hey, I. I don't. I still don't know if anyone actually likes me around here, but, you know, Prince Damon's river host marches to King's Landing. And Tumbleton' not that much further. It's really just a day trip. Like an hour and a half, two if there's traffic. So maybe his river house should go there instead. And Mazaria is like, it would not be bloodless, but it would be far more merciful than sending dragons. Yeah.
Ronnie
And she's like, okay, so then, okay, then we'll just march on the town. And then you guys go in and you grab the people out of there and you just kill each soldier one by one. I mean, that's still bloodshed, but it is better than just going and burning everybody.
Ben
But it's also like, I just love that this is like a bombshell idea for her. Like, well, these soldiers have taken over a town and they moved into people's houses. Like, what if we go in there and take them out of the houses?
Ronnie
She literally goes, that's a good scheme. It's like, it's not really a scheme, but it's like.
Ben
It's like, oh, our ceiling is leaking. Like, what if we patch it?
Ronnie
Yeah, she's like, brilliant. Yeah. I'm thirsty. What if I had some water? Oh, my God, the scheming.
Ben
The scheming you're doing. Oh, while I always knew you had
Ronnie
it in you, or while you are now on this council, that's one thing I miss about Dragonstone is that there were people there. I mean, there were a bunch of dicks, as usual, but at least there were people. This is sort of depressing, watching Ray Ray trying to run the country with just herself and Mysy area. I mean, yeah, Messaria and who else? Now there's Orwell there. At least she got rid of everybody.
Ben
I know, but I felt like the Council of Dragonstone was so worthless. It was just a bunch of, like, old daughtering guys who were just undermining her at all time. But they all were kind of like interchangeable. Like here we have at least, like, real characters that we care about and are like, they have motivations, so we're like, invested in the back and forth. But those guys at Dragon Zone are just like. They were just cookie cutter underminers, you know? Yeah. So I'm glad. I'm glad that she ditched them. I just want to say that's something that happened last week. She's like, them.
Ronnie
Yeah, she pulled a Joan Crawford in there. So now Zaria is like, in the meantime, we have urgent matters at home. We have secured some small store of oil. She's like, oh, my God, I'm so bored. Give me a parade. Jesus Christ. What? This council. There's not enough people in here. Needs more old people bitching at me. Can we just go outside and get some old people to at me, please?
Ben
She's like, where is my hand? She's like, it is attached to your arms. Like, I know that head. Well, we never know with you. You're a little bit slow on the uptake these days.
Ronnie
So Missouri is like, name a Master of Coin. Because then if you have somebody in charge of money, then all the poor people would bit the person who's in charge of the money instead of you. And she's like, what a scheme. Thank you.
Ben
Thank you.
Ronnie
You did it. You've done it. Schema.
Ben
So they're gonna have Sir Torrin Manderly be the Master of Coin. And for those who don't remember who he is, last week, one of the. One of the stunts that Raniera pulled off that was quite fun was that she invited all the wealthy people to the castle for a banquet and they were all excited. They're like, we love you, Ray Ray. And we always have. We just said it silently and to ourselves and never out loud. Also said that we like the other person instead, but you get it. And she's like, yes.
Ronnie
They had the high tower flag rules on the back. It says Ray Ray for life. And also, she was mad at them because she found out that all the rich people were hoarding the food because there was a blockade. So the rich people hoarded all the food and kept it from the poor people to feed their own families. So Ray Ray is like, I'll have a party, and I'll invite every rich person. You know, she's always. And granted, she's going through a lot, but she's always, like, on the verge of tears. Everything that happened, everything that happens, Ray Ray's always like, I will have a party. Invite everybody to the party. So they all come, and she serves them all rats.
Ben
And they're like, what are you doing? What is this a mistake? She goes, because you are hoarding money. You guys all said, send your money to the crown. Okay, yeah, that's. We're gonna. We're gonna write the wrongs here. Eat the rich. So.
Ronnie
But.
Ben
But when she did that, she walked. As she started to walk out, there was this torn manderly was sort of standing off to the side and holding a goblet. And he was, like, very amused by the stunt. And he's like, well, good job. It almost makes you forget that you're the one who started the blockade in the first place. And so she's like, whatever.
Ronnie
So she's like, you saucy little queen. Okay, hire that guy for master. Of course. We could use some meditation.
Ben
It looks like he'll be fun. I feel like we can kiki after the small council.
Ronnie
So then we go to Alicent and Ray Ray out in the godswood. And so Allison's like, well, I. I don't really know him. Like, sorry, I can't really give you a whole lot of advice on Orment because. Or no, my son. Sorry. She's like, I can't really give you a lot of advice on Damon because I don't even know him him. Wait, are they talking about Ormond? To the sun? Oh, yeah.
Ben
I'm talking about Ormond. Yeah.
Ronnie
So Ray Ray's like, well, you know, your son is being raised by him, so you would think you would know something. She's like, this is house of the dragon. Why would I know anything about my children?
Ben
So Allison just like, okay, I mean, this is what I know about My brother, I mean, he sees himself as a scholar. He studies histories, he collects tapestries, writes ballads, despises the ignorant and uncouth. I mean, there's no other way to say it. He's incredibly gay. He's super, super, super gay. If I have to hear him tell me once more about how the results of lip syncing for his life did not work out for the right person. Like, I don't know. I don't know who these people are. I don't have cable. I don't watch Drag Race.
Ronnie
He's a little bitchy, but he's very, you know, it's just hiding a very soft spot under him. Like, okay, all right, all right, we get it, guys. We get it. So she says, yeah, when we were growing up, Gwen thought him cruel, but you know, Gwen did think that of many.
Ben
Gawain, he's a. Himself as well. We're just. We're just really a. We were. We really had issues with our father. What. What can I say? So basically Allison's like, yeah, I don't know how his relationship is with my son. You know, like, my son was like one when. When Ormond took him, but that's it. And Ray Ray's like, you do know that I would have. I would have, I would have spared him. Right? And Allison was like, oh, well, in that case, I'll tell you this much. Ormond hates bad smelling things. There, go take it. Yeah, I like that.
Ronnie
So Ray Ray is going to have to come up with the beginning, a big stink bomb or something to get Ormond out of there, which I think is really funny. She's like, all right, where do we. Let's just plant a large fart on the town. We'll root out the army. It's going to be something like that.
Ben
It's gonna be so silly. Yeah, it's gonna be dumb.
Ronnie
And I can't wait to see what it is, but I like here that Allison's like, oh, Jesus Christ. You know, God forbid I don't raise one of my children. And now everybody's judging me. Sorry. Okay. I've had a lot of kids.
Ben
Kids.
Ronnie
I got tired of having the kids around, so I sent him away. What the do you want from me? It's called being a good mother. Have you seen how the kids who were raised with me turned out? They're a bunch of dicks.
Ben
So now we have Alan. Good old Alan's going up to Corliss because Corliss is like on a. Is on a horse. He's mad Corliss is angry at. At Ray Ray because last week while everyone was putting in requests for what they want, Corliss is like, by the way. So I never acknowledged these two guys, Adam and Alan, but I've decided now I'll be the dad to them. And so they should be Valerians. So could you make that happen? And she's like,
Ronnie
no.
Ben
She's like, people are already mad that I have Ulf up there on a dragon. I just can't keep like re make making people royals now. Now of course it's up because they are owed that. But she's like, I. She's like, I don't. She becomes very burdic and she's like, I can't do this for you. Which I felt like Ray Ray would have done it. And I don't know, I feel like that was a very radarly thing to have her say.
Ronnie
No.
Ben
But either way, now Corliss is pissed.
Ronnie
Well, look, first off, Corliss, give her a minute, you know what I mean? Like she just got there and you're immediately coming in with all of these requests, pretty big ones. And you abandoned those kids and treated them like their whole life. And now that others, now that you've lost everything and you need them, you're suddenly like, why isn't everybody suddenly, you know, jumping on the band? Well, and I think you're right. I mean he did give up a lot in the war, but it's not like you would be on the high tower side anyway at this point. And I don't know, I. I got kind of mad at him and he's like, your sons are bastards. This all your dead sons are bastards. She's like, seriously now.
Ben
She's like, you only just acknowledge your sons.
Ronnie
Yeah, now's not the time to make an enemy really either. Ray Ray. And you're already in the shitter, so why not? You've already got. Well, she doesn't know people. She doesn't know yet that people are spray painting all over the town. But like you've already got people not incredibly on your side. So now just do. Just start with the bad. Just start with.
Ben
Yeah, I mean, I think, I think this was an easy lift for her. Like she could have done this. She should have. She could have like knighted Adam, added him as Adidim of Valeria instead of Adidum of Hull. And so, you know, Corliss has really given a lot and has made a lot of sacrifices. It's just. To me, it's so funny. Like Corliss all of a sudden is like, now trying to make up for, like, years and years of being a bad dad to these people by making this grand gesture. And it's like, you didn't even acknowledge these two guys for the longest time.
Ronnie
Like, when we watch summer houses with your kids. Take them to putt putt. You know what I mean? Like, you need to do smaller things.
Ben
A weekend in Tumbleton, you know, they've got a. They've got a beer, aren't there, like.
Ronnie
But on the other hand, like, our. The way we do it in our country, it's like, oh, you know, you. You gave me $20 for my campaign 10 years ago, so, boom, you're the ambassador to the Netherlands or whatever.
Ben
Yeah.
Ronnie
You know, so I think maybe this
Ben
is actually a little bit of a failing of the showrunners of this because they needed to build in a little bit more. That it would be really shitty to, like. Or that she is receiving more, like, a lot of flack for the fact that she has, like, Ulf and Hugh and Adam on her dragons. That's, like, not a very strong sentiment. So to us watching, we're like, why? Why is this a big issue for her? Like, who cares? You're the queen. You say they're Valerians, just that that's just what they are, and that's it. And, like, even this week, when some people are spray painting, like, the queen of bastards, I'm like, really? The bastards? That's your biggest issue? Small folks. This. This lady who's, like, giving you some food, and now you're gonna complain that, oh, wow, there's some bastards. Tell me how many bastards are in. Are in King's Landing? Okay, I'm sick of this hypocrisy about the bastards. But they didn't really build up like that. It was. They didn't really establish that this was a very big deal. So then when Corliss asked for it and she's like, I can't do it because I don't want to be seen as, like, being super pro bastard. I was like, this is where we draw the line now all of a sudden.
Ronnie
Yeah.
Ben
By the way, you're also married to your. To your uncle. Yeah, exactly.
Ronnie
And your family line and your nieces and nephews are literally married to each other too, so. Yeah, but it's the kind of. It's the kind of moralization they do on this show. I kind of would like her to just stand up and be like, yeah, I am queen of the bastards. All y'.
Ben
All.
Ronnie
You know, at Least I make an effort. Yeah, it's like anti nepo, baby. Also, how. What was I gonna say? I forgot.
Ben
Well, it reminds me of this past season of Summer House, if I may. Yes. Why don't you.
Ronnie
Before.
Ben
Before I go on a Summer House tangent, why don't you say what you were gonna say?
Ronnie
So sorry. Socialist. Oh, I wrote it down, but then I was gonna say it. Yes. Because they're setting her up to be, like, the super liberal party that, like, in modern day people would be like, you socialists. You know, like, feeding the rats to the. Feeding the. Making the rich the rich.
Ben
Yay.
Ronnie
And then she's fighting the. She's fighting the religion, and the religion's like, you don't want to mess with us. We'll take you down. You know, and then they've got the big stars everywhere that Allison had installed, and so they've. They're kind of setting it up to be our version of, like, conservative versus liberal. And she's supposed to be the big liberal family who's gonna do all this stuff. And then she's like, bastards now. So, yeah, it does seem a little out of character.
Ben
And Corliss does have a line where he says, like, why don't you say the real reason why you don't want to, like, say that they're valerian? Which is the. The first in my. The way I interpreted. Sorry, I've got, like, a bubble in my throat. But when. When he said that, I. Maybe this was me, but I kind of interpreted as, like. Like, is it because, like, we're darker skinned? Like, I. I kind of wondered if there was, like, a race element that was sort of fueling that comment, because it's actually something that's not really addressed on this show. Because maybe in this world, it isn't an issue which would be wonderful in the real world, in our world. But I started to wonder, like, oh, was that, like, a little note of that there, or was it something else? Was I bringing our world's stuff into this fake world? But in terms of my less weighty comment about Summer House, the thing with Corliss suddenly being like, oh, wait, no, everyone has to drop everything because I've decided I, like, recognize my sons. It reminds me of this last season of Summer House when Ben is on there and he's like, oh, I'm single, I'm single, I'm single, I'm single, I'm single. And then all of a sudden he's like, I realize I really love Sabrina Bell. And now everyone has to move Everything around to accommodate the fact that we were in love with each other. And you can't say anything negative. And you can't say this, you can't say that. You can't say, make this joke, make that joke joke, because now we're in love. It's like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Suddenly you're just, like, in love out of nowhere when you were acting like she didn't even exist 5 seconds ago. Give us some time to catch up. Okay.
Ronnie
Yeah, yeah. You take us in slowly, but, you know, he did just watch. His whole house burned to the ground last week, and then his son saved his life. Then the other son's riding a dragon. So, like, he does have a point, but I think he has a point with Rainier. But he's still obnoxious as, like, an abandoned, abandoning father, you know?
Ben
Yeah.
Ronnie
So how many things are true at one time? Look at that. So anyway, he's talking to his son, his kids, like, Alan, it's like, you need. The queen is requested. He's like, that her. I'm out of here. I'm going to do some other.
Ben
Like, what are you gonna do? Fight the triarchy again? Yes, I'm gonna fight. Fight the triarchy. It's like, all right. So, yeah, he's gonna go off. He's like, there's no. What's the point of me? Look, I'm a Navy guy. I'm not. I'm not a council guy. I've. I've gotta. I'm just gonna go off and do something. You guys don't need me anymore. Go. You. You can be my. You can. You can represent me now.
Ronnie
So he's like, I'm a man of the sea, so you go do it. And Alan's like, damn, okay, I don't know what I'm doing. And he's like, well, I cannot give you legitimacy, but I can give you the chance to better yourself while I leave you again to go sail around doing God knows what.
Ben
Bye, you know, triarchy, Etc. Etc. So then, now we see Aegon and Laris. By the way, I think earlier I. I referenced Aegon potentially being. I don't remember if I said Aegon or Eamon, but when I said the White Walker thing, that was about Aemond, not Aegon.
Ronnie
Oh, that's. Yeah, I'd heard the Aon thing. I hadn't heard the egg on thing. But then now I've been thinking about it, this whole recap.
Ben
No.
Ronnie
Like, maybe he is.
Ben
No, I think it's gonna be aimed.
Ronnie
Sorry. Everyone.
Ben
Sorry,
Ronnie
Aegon. And well like yeah. So they, they walk around and they see the supposedly dead dragon. But we've seen another dragon and that dragon was dead and it was all decomposed. Was this micerys was the dragon the other dragon we saw that was dead today?
Ben
You know, I never really remember the dragon names. I know. Sunfyre. I remember because like it just is. Everyone else has like Vega Maximus notorious Sunfire. So.
Ronnie
Sunfire sling their dead and we get this big shot of Sunfire and Sunfire is not decomposing and there's not flies all over it. So we're thinking it's not dead. But wouldn't it be breathing? I mean a dragon breath seems like it would be huge because dragons are huge. So I would think if it was alive that we'd be able to tell. So I guess that the witch is going to bring this dragon back to life. That's my guess because it's pretty intact.
Ben
But by the way, this is like the second drag. The first of two dragons that we see lying around dead because later on they go to Rook's rest and there's another dragon just lying on that one.
Ronnie
Yeah, that's what I was saying. Like which is that dragons like we
Ben
see, they're not decomposing very quickly. That's for sure.
Ronnie
Well, that other dragon was a lot worse. Didn't it have flies and stuff?
Ben
Yeah, I don't.
Ronnie
Maybe it's because it had more open wounds. But then Sunfire had open wounds too because it got bit and clawed in the chest. Right?
Ben
Yeah, I mean maybe, maybe. So it turns out that Sunfire is being exploited by some locals. It's like some James Cromwell types who are like charging a few like coins to go like touch the dragon. So maybe they're like bring it down.
Ronnie
They're paying for like A touch of the Dragon. Are you serious? You're pimping out a dead dragon? Like where are the morals on this show?
Ben
That's terrible. It's terrible what they do. Absolutely terrible. And also like they just have to. How often are people come around to touch the dragon? They're just sitting there waiting for someone to come and they get a coin. Jeez. Also like I would be like, okay, I'm not going to. I'm not going to touch the dragon. Sorry, no sale here. And then when they're not looking, I just go to the other side of the dragon, just like touch it because they wouldn't be able to see me.
Ronnie
Yeah. And talk about a show that has some nasty smells like, who is camping out right next to a gigantic dead animal? Who does that?
Ben
An entrepreneur does it. He's like, it's a penny to touch the dragon. Nothing free in these woods. He can sit in the saddle for half goat. Like, nothing's free in these words. How about a branch? I think those are free, sir.
Ronnie
And then Laris, not. You know, Laris is one of the smartest people on the show, but he does some stupid things like this. He whips out his whole purse. He's like, jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle. It's like your aunties coming over, you know. It's like, jingle, jingle, and starts like rummaging through the coin persons. Like, here's one little coin to touch. He's like, oh, wow, nice purse. Okay, two coins. Then he's like, okay, here's two. And he's like, look at all those coins. So, you know, obviously they want to attack them. And meanwhile, Aegon is, you know, on the dragon, like, my baby, you know, he's like, holding its head. He's like, daddy's here now because, you know, it's his dead dragon. So he's like upset and crying over.
Ben
He's like, he's alive.
Ronnie
Sunbai is alive. He's like, he's not alive. He's dead. Come on, let's get a move on here. He's like, now he's alive. I feel it.
Ben
Yeah, it seemed like for a moment this.
Ronnie
This.
Ben
This guy on this, this, this. This on the path was going to kill them, but I think he was just sort of so weirded out by By Aegon. He was like, you guys can go. Because we don't really see how that resolves. We just know the next time we see them, they're not there anymore.
Ronnie
I like that this show, it's like we're gonna rob and rape everyone. Oh, my God, a man's crying. Okay, just. Just go.
Ben
Just get out of here. Get out of here. Who is this? Someone soft like Ormond, like, but seriously, Madonna has a new album out. It's really good.
Ronnie
So he's like, it's sponsored by Grindr. So. So then we go to Kristen Cole and. Oh, God, this guy. Jesus. So they go to Heron. And Heron hall, of course, is a total now because it's been burned to the ground for like the 10th time in history.
Ben
They had just started to make it nice again. And then freaking a dragon Veigar come and like, like perch on like the. On like the balcony. Totally. You know, not even. Not even honoring the. The. The weight limits and of course everything's destroyed and burned down and crumbled.
Ronnie
Oh yeah, and that dragon, Veigar just came through there, knocking down the columns and like the load bearing walls, everything. So that place is just. So they come in and we hear Alice, she's like, are you lost? They're like, where's the boss of this place? She's like, dead. Well, who succeeds them dead? So who succeeds them dead? They're all dead. I mean, do you want, do you want to just keep playing this game? Dead, dead, dead, dead. I win, what do I get?
Ben
So they're like, so who are you? She's like, well, I'm a steward of sort. It's the best you can do at the moment. Like, you're a witch, aren't you? Is that, that's obvious? Well, you're kind of creepy and alone in a, a place that no one would want to live.
Ronnie
Great. She's like, they're, they're telling her, so where is Aan? She's like, I don't know. Could you describe him? Is he a blonde white man? Sorry, never seen one of those here.
Ben
Does he look like someone who might be very impressed and odd by a dinosaur, But also might be part of a, of a women's group in Northern California with like a Reese Witherspoon type or a, or a Nicole Kidman type? Like, that does sound like him. Haven't seen him.
Ronnie
I don't know where he is. Does he have long flowing hair the color of corn silk? That's him. No, I haven't seen him. Have you seen a guy that looks just like Laura Dern coming through here?
Ben
I'm. I'm afraid I don't know who that is. You're wearing a T shirt that has Laura Dern on it from Twin Peaks. Oh, so I am. I call her Diane.
Ronnie
So she's like, oh, right, right. Laura Dern Lord. Thank you. Okay. He sees the castle after Prince Damon abandoned it. But when he learned that Rhaenyra took his King Landing, his dragon fled. And they're what? Ray Ray took King's Landing? God damn it. Like, oh, you didn't know?
Ben
Like, well, I guess we'll stay here. So now we see Kristen and GW are just at, at that table eating food and the A soldier tells them, like, so we've been looking around and we have not. We, you know, there, there does seem to be a dragon's nest, but we haven't seen the dragon. We think the dragon has left un. Like, could you look on the other Side of the castle. This dragon is clearly just like hiding in a corner. Right?
Ronnie
Vegar is pretty big though. So where the is Vegar? Maybe just flying around. I mean, I don't know, maybe the witch Veigar was it.
Ben
Maybe the witch transformed Vegar. I don't know the extent of the witch's powers and what the witch can do.
Ronnie
Oh, I don't think you can transform Veigar, but I don't know. You know, a is just in the basement somewhere. Maybe he told Veigar just to go, I don't know, go take a break somewhere. So we don't know where he is yet. And Gwen's like, we need to get the out of here. The war is lost. I want to go home. And co's like, amen. What not to sat me. He's like, oh, for Christ's sake. He's like, oh, what are you just. Was this just a war to you? This wasn't about more. This wasn't about you being dumped and then spending the rest of your life bringing death and misery upon everybody you meet because you didn't get the woman you want? Like, oh, wow. Very, you know, very strong morals over there, Cole.
Ben
Yeah, seriously. So Cole's like, okay, well, since we've been abandoned and we've done all this work it let's just go down by being petty. Why don't we change our vibe to let's skulk around at night and attack people and like, like ninjas and it'll be hilarious.
Ronnie
Like, well, fine, we can fight without dragons. Just like men are made to fight. Don't you have a shield to paint?
Ben
Wayne's like, but why? He's like, because it'll be fun. Like, but it's not gonna impact anything. But it'll slow things down. It'll be fun. Let's do it. Yeah, let's hide behind trees and attack people.
Ronnie
He's like, yeah, it's a man to man. This is what guys do when they get dumped. Commercials.
Ben
Here comes one right now.
Ronnie
One thing my mom loves is to bargain hunt. She will go to a garage sale, to a flea market, any old sale at the mall. I'm taking her from sale to sale to sale to sale. And I finally found someplace online that I can just park her and she'll have the time of her life. And that is whatnot.
Ben
Whatnot is an app that does live shopping. There's a whole community there on whatnot. You're connecting with sellers and other shoppers and it's kind of like, like hanging out with a group that gets you and this is like a really fun way to shop.
Ronnie
You never pay full price. Sarah. You can shop name brands across makeup, perfume, clothes, handbags, jewelry and more all without the sticker shock. It's the best place to find great deals on products you love and there
Ben
are amazing sellers with great great taste and they're going live all the time like 24 7. You can comment in real time and they'll just show you like close up of clothes. You'll be like hey can I get, can I see that a little bit closer. I want to see that detail on that shirt. Shirt and they will show it to you because it's real time and you can sell too.
Ronnie
Do you have clothes, bags or accessories sitting in your closet that you don't reach for anymore? What not makes it easy to turn them into cash? Connect with shoppers who share your style and have fun going live while doing it.
Ben
It's amazing what you can find on there. I literally just purchased a mid century modern dance yellow paella pan for 35 and I've seen it listed elsewhere on the Internet for $80. It was a bargain.

Question, Ronnie, Is Cole, like, of the same religious order of Allison? He sort of like, he veered in that direction after everything that happened with Ray Ray. Because that would make sense. I feel like I've. I had not fully grasped sort of like, the religious tenets of the Star receptor, whatever this. The seven, until really this episode or last episode, I didn't realize how much there was, like, this thing about dragons are. Are, like, sacrilegious or, like, and like. Or whatever satanic. And the Targaryens are really just like, filth.
Ronnie
And they haven't really played into the whole Alicent being a zealot, but they kind of hint. Like, her character doesn't seem like she's that much of a zealot. But I think that that's the point is that Allison's like this big zealot because when she took over the castle, there were suddenly the stars everywhere. Like, they're in the windows and stuff like that. So I guess she remodeled it and was like, we crucifixes everywhere. And that's it. And it's like, she's very immoral. And then Cole in the first season, he was like, oh, yeah, I'm gonna hook up with this kid Rainiera. But then the second that she wouldn't run away and give up everything to, like, go be his little wifey somewhere, he that's was pissed and then turned on her and became like, a huge, like, zealot.
Ben
He basically joined the manosphere.
Ronnie
But you got. Yeah, basically. But you gotta love it because they're these huge religious zealots, but they are having this. This crazy affair that they're not supposed to be having.
Ben
Of course.
Ronnie
So typical.
Ben
Yeah. Hypocrites. Yeah. I just. I. I think that it adds an interesting dimension to his character in this whole relationship. And so it's like, okay, this is another reason why he doesn't like Ray Ray because he joined a religion that actually says, oh, the Targaryens are crazy and they're heathens. So now it's like, oh, I was rejected. But it's like, it's. I'm for the better because I was courting a crazy person, an awful person person.
Ronnie
Yeah, I'm actually superior. And I don't know that he clings to the religion as much as Allison, but I think he's. His big thing is the dragon, like, the dragon Thing in general. And also I think to him, the dragons represent Ray Ray because she's the first one that ever dumped him. And he's never going to let that go. And Ray Ray is a dragon lady. So he's like, oh, dragons.
Ben
And he was, like, trained. He's like. He's like. He's trained in the art of. Of warfare. And then you just have these big things of destruction that, like, are almost unfair. They're like these cheats. And now it's like, ah, now I can actually show people that I'm a good soldier and I'm amazing. It's like this very weak, insecure male thing going on with him. So he's decided that, like, you know what? We're gonna cling to our honor unless we. Unless we become beasts ourselves. As if he has not already become a beast ten times over on this show. Show.
Ronnie
Yeah.
Ben
So then Alan punched a gay earlier. Don't forget that he beat up a gay in the first season.
Ronnie
Huge homophobe, this guy. Yeah, yeah. Corliss's first son. Hers. It's his birth. His son that he did not abandon or whatever.
Ben
Who still alive somewhere, by the way. One hopes he faked his death.
Ronnie
Yeah, he escaped. Ray Ray helped him. Fake him out of there.
Ben
H. He's having a great life. He went off to, like. Didn't he go off to. What's it called, the place where the old bank. Not Davos town, is it? Davos? He basically went to the place where they went to on Game of Thrones, where the. Where the. The bank is. And it's like. It's so nice. It's like such a nice city and we never get to spend any time there.
Ronnie
Yeah. She's like, go. Go where the gays are. Davos.
Ben
I'm gonna look up.
Ronnie
I don't remember where it was.
Ben
Where is the bank in. Where's the bank? Bravo. It's Bravos. I said Davos. I think Davos Bravos. Bravo.
Ronnie
Well, that should be the easiest one for us to remember.
Ben
I could be wrong, though. I could be. I could be completely wrong. You know me, guys, like, that's not where the sun went. He went to Dorn, which I loved.
Ronnie
Yeah. Just too many places. So now we go to King's Landing. Ray Ray has uncovered her dad's artwork. You know, the old Valeria that he was building, his model plane, his model town building or whatever that he was obsessed with. And so Alan comes to see her and she's like, this is old Valeria. And I look at It. Because it's a reminder the dynasties fall. Yeah, pretty much. So they have a talk and he's like, you know, my dad's being kind of a dick, but, you know, there is a war and that'll make him happy because he's a soldier. You know how they go. And she's like, good fathers, they're just so difficult to deal with, aren't they? And so they bond over daddy issues. And then they see that there's rats all over this model, like hanging out. Hanging out in the center square of this little model, Valeria. And she's like, oh my God, these rats, they're incessant. And he's like, well, on board ship, we just keep rat. We just keep cats. And she's like, huh?
Ben
She's like, cats? You say, what a scheme.
Ronnie
What a scheme you've come up with.
Ben
Now, what is a cat exactly? Like, you know, dogs. Yes. You know how there's a dogs and then cats and people are like, team dog, team cat. Not following. So you know the dogs that are like dogs, but they're not dogs cuz they have little claws and long tails and the little cute ears? Those are called cats. I'm not sure what I think I need some more explanation or what can we get? Or while in here, he's a good schemer, he might be able to explain this cat concept to me.
Ronnie
Oh, cats.
Ben
Yes.
Ronnie
Almonds Won't stop listening to it, I've heard.
Ben
Oh yes. He's making everyone gather in the center of Tumbleton to do the jello cool ball. Oh, it's insufferable.
Ronnie
So now we go to on and Laris, and they're now walking the runes of Rook's Rest. And there's. This is where we see the other dead dragon, right? And this one's way worse off. And people are, you know, just kind of going up about their business as much as you can when there's a giant smoking dead dragon dead in the middle of the town.
Ben
Yes. Yeah. And so they're there. And once again, they have a very simple task, which is be chill and blend in. Which of course Aymond is like, I'm the king, everyone. I was like, yeah, hang on. Sorry, everyone. I don't know. I don't know why I'm doing it. This. We literally have notes in front of us. And I can literally see that it says Aegon. It literally says Aegon in front of my eyeballs. And I'm saying Eamon for Aegon and Aegon for Eamon.
Ronnie
I apologize well, also, what I love that they keep doing with him is they're like, okay, okay, let's make. Let's put Aegon in kind of a disguise. We'll put him in a hood to hide his blonde hair. But every single scene, he has that one little thing of blonde hair coming out the front of his. Every single. Like, put the man in a ponytail, for Christ's sake. Do you want to be discovered? So this is a very typical tropey thing where they have to go to the town and pretend that they're poor, and then he has to go clean the toilets or he's going to die. Like, the. The head gangster running the town is going to kill him. And so he has to, like, suck it up and clean toilets. Like, okay, all right. So he's gonna have that storyline, I guess, for a couple of episodes. And then we go back to Cat, and this is where the soldier is like, oh, now I'm gonna get rapey with Cat.
Ben
Yeah, so. So they're like, in the kitchen. It's like a domestic scene. It's like an. It's like an Ien plan play. And he's like, I wanna. I wanna examine the goods. So he, like, goes. And he makes like. He goes to grab Cat, but then like, Leo's wife's like, don't touch her. Take your hands off her. She has like a rolling pin or something like that. But then he, like, slaps her away. Slaps, Slaps Cat or something.
Ronnie
Rolling pin. And like, knocks and breaks her arm. Yeah, damn.
Ben
So then it's a whole. It's a whole drama, obviously, because if. And we knew this was gonna happen.
Ronnie
And they're like, get your hands off
Ben
my brother, you hardtower. And so then we go back to Ray Ray, who's staring at a map, and Hugh walks in and Hugh is like, Sir Hugh Muhammar, your Grace. Ah, Sir Hugh. Have you heard of cats? Do you know how we could use them? Well, because.
Ronnie
Love them. God damn it.
Ben
All right.
Ronnie
So he's like, okay, let me get this straight. You sent UL to Tumbleton? Have you met Ulf? What is Ulf gonna guard? Like?
Ben
She's like, I did send off. Why? She's like, because I want to go. She's like, your wife is at Tumbleton, is she not? He's like, yeah, I. I think you're starting to connect some dots here. Like, okay, so it's just been a big. It's been a lot to think about. The first thing was that we're going to use soldiers to Take people out of houses. Then we're going to use cats to find mice. And now you, whose wife is in Templeton, want to go there to protect her. It's just, it's a lot on my brain today. A lot of concepts I'm trying to really work with.
Ronnie
Yeah. And she's doing that thing where she's just kind of like staring at the map like oh Jesus. So she's like, okay, God, if you want to go so bad, just go with or wolf. And then you guys, like one of you could guard and then one of you could take a break. Then one of you could guard. Then one of you could take. It's like, okay, Ray Ray, people are about to attack you.
Ben
Let the man go. He's highly motivated to protect Tumbleton. I guess she's afraid that he will get so upset that he will burn Tumbleton down. But he wouldn't do that because his wife is there. I don't know.
Ronnie
Yeah, but really not gonna leave his dragon out there while he's just going in to run through the town to find his wife and you know, know make it personal. Which of course I was surprised didn't happen during the episode cuz I thought that's where they were leading us. But she's like just go, just go. Get out of my face. I've got a map to stare at.
Ben
So outside Ul is walking around and someone has, someone has spray painted or just painted Queen of the Bastards on the wall. Cuz it's a high tower loyalist. And Ul is like, whoa. So then Ul goes into his bar, which I'm surprised it took this long. He's now going to be, hey, remember me? Remember you guys all thought I was just some barfly was talking nonsense. Well guess what, I got a dragon now. So everyone's like, oh my God. Okay. Everyone loves Ulf. He is like, they just love him. And his buddies are there and they're like cheering him and like by the way, oh, if you're gonna buy drinks for all of us. Right, right. He's like, yeah, sure, no problem.
Ronnie
This is why people become rich and they stop hanging around with poor people. People. I think this is true because then everybody's like, hey, buy me a beer. Or hey, could you do me a favor? It's like, oh my God, I can't. I haven't even learned how to use a comb yet. Give me a second. Then we go to Ormonds and he's with Darren and the foot leaves are outside. I mean a bunch of commoner people are outside. And then the family that just got beat and got into it with the soldier shows up, up Cat's family. And she's like, man, he broke my arm. And they're basically like, what the are you going to do? Your soldiers are coming in and attacking families now. And so the soldier, of course, like, I wasn't doing anything. They're like, yes, he tried to rape her. He broke her arm. What the hell are you going to do about this? And so he has to look good in front of everybody. So he's like, well, I'm going to punish this soldier and you're going to go get lashes is. And you know, you can still stay in my service, but you're. And so he's being dragged away from the guards and he's like, but I have a wife.
Ben
Lol. Yeah,
Ronnie
it's like, but I have a wife.
Ben
Exactly. So he just sends off this guy to get castrated. And. And then they also.
Ronnie
Oh, wait, you get castrated?
Ben
Yeah, Yeah.
Ronnie
I thought he said gelded.
Ben
That's why I said, oh, that's why he said, I have a wife. Because he's like, they're like, yeah, you're. You're going to get castrated now. Now.
Ronnie
Oh, I didn't know that's what that meant. Well, you learn today. Yeah.
Ben
So Ormond is basically like, he was
Ronnie
saying, I have a wife. Like, you can't, you can't torture me. I've got a wife at home. Or like, I would never rape somebody cuz I have a wife. I didn't know they were like, you're about to lose them, cuz.
Ben
Yeah. Wow, that's. That's good for them. Yeah, good for them. Well, well, cuz Ormond is trying to present that he's a fair ruler. It's sort of like a PR moment. You got to like, know they don't want the people to rise up against you. And also, I imagine there's some sort of like, he, he does have this religious superiority thing that he, he's got going on. Like, you got to be fair. You got to be firm even. And he even tells Darren. He's like, he's like, you have to. You must tend to their wounds. We must keep a firm grip. Tensions are high. Lawlessness and disorder claw at our gates. But he's kind of like, like your icon, father icon. So.
Ronnie
Yeah. And also this is Ray Ray's town. Like, everybody's a Ray Ray follow. So he's like, we need to show them that we are the kind ones.
Ben
Yeah.
Ronnie
So Then we go to Ray Ray and Orwell, and she's. She's like, so how much do the Hightowers exert over the faith? Because she asked the rulers of the church or the ruler of the church last week to give her a parade or to. To recognize her as queen. He's like, how dare you? We've already recognized a queen. And she's a religious icon. We love her. So she got really pissed off. She's like, so can we kill these people? He's like, yeah, you can't. You can't really kill a whole church. Like, you can kill one guy, but then the church is gonna get mad. And faithful people, really, you don't want a bunch of faithful people against you. So.
Ben
Yeah, yeah. She's like, yeah. It's like, don't. Don't do that at all. Like, the faith is a big. It's a big deal. So she's like, okay, well. Well, she's like, another scheme, I guess. So then we go to Damon, and he has arrived at the veil because one thing is. Because there's, like, no money, Jane Aaron was supposed to commit some troops during the war, and she never did. And so, like, well, okay, well, you know what? Instead of getting troops, why don't we just hit her up for some money? Because we're poor. Like, okay, so Damon goes off to
Ronnie
see her and ask the question, does anybody live in the veil? Because it always looks like it's just Jane. I mean, she's just always so lonely in this huge room. You know, the room where they kicked. Yeah, the room they kicked through that hole. You know, the floor opens up and it's the big hole. And it's like a lady whose son was still, you know, feeding off of her boob at, like, 12 years old or whatever it was.
Ben
Robin. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I, I. It's always just so lonely there in the veil. And that's why I think, like, I kind of got the feeling that Jane was sort of. I felt like there was some sort of chemistry between Jane and Daemon. I think she sort of likes him, especially because she's just sitting there with no one to talk to, and here comes this guy, but she's there, and she's like, well, I, you know, I receive raven after raven from my bannermen, informing me of your progress throughout my domain. And he's like, well, time heals even the deepest of wounds, and I am delighted to return, my lady. And who could ever fail to be charmed by your warmth? That was the difference.
Ronnie
Yeah, exactly. She's like so dead faced all the time. Like, okay, listen, you were supposed to send people, so are you gonna send me some troops? And she's like, oh, I should send you babies like the dragon. You gave me a little tiny baby. Thanks a lot. And so he's like, do you really want to. With Ray Ray? She's got a lot of dragons right now. She's like, okay, what do you want? And he's like, gold. So she gives him some sacks of gold and he goes out, he leaves. But he starts paxing it on Soxes. And then the dragon's like. And you know, typical pet smell something in his run. No matter how well you have trained that damn dog. Dog. Which I didn't really train my dog well. But man, he sniffs one thing or hears something and he's off. And then you're chasing his ass.
Ben
This was sort of a funny scene because, like, I felt like they're. They're. Their special effects budget kind of ran out here. Their cgi. Because I was like, why does this scene look. Why is this dragon scene look so much worse than all the other dragon scenes? It definitely looked like those, Those little. Those promos they have at the beginning, the end of the episode where they show the video game and they're like, you can rule.
Ronnie
That makes me crazy.
Ben
They show that stupid. That stupid mobile game and that's like low level animation. And then we have this scene where I was like, they ran out of time on this scene with this dragon. Yeah, it looked very much like a video game. But anyway, so Soxes flies off and you know, Damon's like, obey me, obey me, whatever. And Sax is like, no, we're. And I. I smell something good. So then drops him off at this little like, cave in the hill in the mountainside. And Damon's like, what's going on? And then he sees like a silhouetted figure. He sees a glow in the background of like clearly a. A dragon. Fire breath. And his figure. And out pops Reina Reina, 60 years
Ronnie
old now shaking like a leaf, like, who's poor actress.
Ben
She's had nothing to do for a season and a half.
Ronnie
Half.
Ben
But just look more and more haggard. This poor thing. Oh, my gosh.
Ronnie
So she comes out and he's like, what the hell are you doing? And then, you know, we see that she has a dragon. He's like, wait a minute. You're the one with this dragon. She's like, oh, well, like I ever got attention from you. And he's like, you were supposed to Be babysitting the kids. Like, what are you doing? It's like, oh, really? Oh, great. I got the baby. I sent him in a. I sent him him with a Uber. But what else am I going to do is my chance to have my own dragon. He's like, your dragon like, literally just caused, you know, a succession issue. The kid did not my son did I? Or Ray Ray's son did I? And she's like, whatever. I could use some attention to. Okay, fuck off. I'm just going to stay here with my dragon.
Ben
I know. And so he's. She's like, you know, you guys were so mean to me. Like, oh, I never had a dragon. You guys were like, to get your. I was an object of pity. You guys would just be condescending to me. You guys were dicks to me. And now I finally have a dragon, and now you want me to do this? You want me to, like, come back? Like, no. No way. I'm not. Bye, bye, father.
Ronnie
Yeah, and he actually had kind of an argument that he didn't make because she's like, and worse, you pitied me. I mean, can you yourself say you ever gave me more than a passing thought? I'm a father on Game of Thrones. Of course I didn't give it. Have any of my kids received a passing thought from me? Okay.
Ben
Does that really remember that I'm Bela's father also? No.
Ronnie
Yeah. I don't pay attention to any of you. What are you talking about? I pay attention to myself. I'm Damon. I'm on a Game of Thrones show. So he's like, come back with me. And he's getting emotional with her now, you know, it's too late. That's how the dads are on the show like, now. He's emotional. And so she's like, no, I'm not. He's like, ray Ray is going to hunt you down. She's hunting for you now. And she's like, well, then just let me think that I'm dead and I lost. I'm lost to the sea unless you betray me.
Ben
And then she basically. Then the dragon comes, like, stomp. Sheep seller comes, like, stomping out and they go off, they fly away. And then Damon's like, gez, okay, kids, am I right? It's so difficult when they become teenagers. And then he looks down and there's just like this. Just a shepherd with two sheep, apparently unfazed by the fact that there's like a. A giant dragon on the. Above him and another one that Just went flying off. But he's got a literally called stealer. Literally called sheep stealer. And we know dragons love sheep. And this guy's just like, what could possibly go wrong for him today? Who knows?
Ronnie
Hanging out with my two sheep.
Ben
Just going to be day.
Ronnie
So then we go back to Ormond in Tumbledon and this is where he's making his homemade potpourri. He's like sitting at a table with a little ball, like putting it in little scent. Yes, yes.
Ben
It's like an influencer. He's like, now this scent, I love this. I call this one essence of Dorne. It's very tropical. It's very healing too. If you had a long day, I really recommend this. I have this one for sale for 12.99 or you can get a set for 34.99. That's a two dollar discount on three bottles. Just use the like button down below.
Ronnie
Fall's coming. Pumpkin spice latte. Am I right, girl? So the. Of course Darren's there, just standing around looking innocent, you know, which he does. And so a raven just arrived. So he reads the little letter and gets pissed. And Darren sees him starting to get pissed. He's like, oh my God, get out of here.
Ben
Clear.
Ronnie
Clear.
Ben
Get out of the room.
Ronnie
So the servant runs away and then Orvin Orman just throws a hiss. He fit. I would have liked more of like a screechy hissy fit. Like a cartoony.
Ben
Yeah. And then I would have liked almost like a what's her face, mommy dearest kind of like freak out, you know, Suddenly just like go, go right through Darren's closet and be like, no wire hangers, you know, Just take an eye out on Darren like I told you. Keep your in order. Order.
Ronnie
This ain't my first time at the rodeo, fellas. But he has a pretty manly hissy fit. He stands up at the table and pulls out a sword and starts banging on the table. I mean, easy to do when it's not your table. Sorry, sleaze.
Ben
Yeah, sorry, Lady Footley, your brand new table from West Elm is gonna need some repairs.
Ronnie
That is like a Renaissance. What is that store called? Is it called Renaissance?
Ben
No, which one?
Ronnie
Oh, they send you like a gallery? No, restoration. Restoration.
Ben
Restoration hardware.
Ronnie
Yes, it's like a restoration hardware table. This is my stable. I felt bad.
Ben
It was an investment. It's an investment.
Ronnie
So he like beats up the table and screams and then he just sits back down. He's like, y. Who sent word? It seems your brother Amand will not be joining us. After all, with his giant dragon. So let's just carry on. We must alter our scheme.
Ben
Yeah. Darren's like, so we're. Do we have to stay in Tumbleton, or can we go back to Oldtown? Or it's like, no. So then we go back to Ray Ray and Orwell, and Orwell's like, well, big news. Everyone Sir Otto would. Wrote to Ormond all this entire time, wrote tons of stuff to Ormond, but it was. Nothing was ever returned. So she goes, goes, are you sure there's been no error? What am I supposed to make of it? And they're like, well, I suppose only that lord Ormond ruled oldtown as a kingdom unto itself. So I guess people are. People online are suspecting that the letters that. That Ormond wrote back were intercepted. So there was never an official record of him running back. So we'll see what happens there.
Ronnie
Oh. So UL comes in. He's like, hello, thank you and please. Your grace of madams. Please and thank you. Insert bow. I am bow. I've learned manners. Now it's like, what's up? I'm looking over a paper. I have. I have one paper on my desk. It's very important. It's like, well, thou ist. Art pleasant. Think manners. Manners match. Jesus. What do you.
Ben
Spit it out. It's like, all right, well, I was wondering if I might petition your favor for a man named muja who has a small holding outside Rosby, an exemption from taxes, and also someone named Clay, a pardon for various small crimes. Also, I have a friend named Norm, and he would just love to know if he could just extend his bar tab just a bit. And then Cliff, he would just love
Ronnie
if people said hello to him whenever he walked in. Great.
Ben
Carla, she just. She just wonders if we could check up on her man, make sure he's not cheating again. It's possible.
Ronnie
And she's like, and where do you know these friends from? He's like, tavern. She's like, oh, for Christ's sake, you alcoholic, you are cut off. And now you have to stay here, and you can't go to any taverns, and I'm not doing favors for any of your goddamn friends. Now get out of here. I have one paper to read, and I'm going to read it very intently. And he's like, oh, oh, well, thou art a. Thank you. By the way, people are writing that you're a queen of bastards all over the walls. Bye. And by the way, thumbs up. I. Thumbs up every post I saw on those walls. Have a good One.
Ben
So Ram is, like, fine. So she basically is like, can. Can you just get. Can someone get Sir Luther in here and just have the Gold Cloaks go through the same city and remove all the graffiti and beat up anyone who's a loyalist? Thanks.
Ronnie
So we know this is another bad move here.
Ben
She's doing so well handing out the food on that. On that wagon last week.
Ronnie
Yeah, another. I mean, not to remove the. You know, the paint or whatever, but to have people, like, to let the Gold Cloaks loose on the population. Not again. Not a great move. So then we go back to Rook's Rest for the Egon is poor for a minute storyline where he's having to clean toilets or get murdered by the guy. And then he gets. Well, he gets pissed because they're like, oh, sorry, there's no food for you. We run out sometimes. That's just how it is. So he's like, really? This is how you treat people? This is how you treat your pores with no food? And the leader is like, you son of a bitch. I'm gonna murder you. Kiss my feet. Covered in poop and flies. So Aegon has to kiss his feet.
Ben
And of course, Aegon has no introspection that he too, once lived a life of extreme luxury while the small folk went with no thanks.
Ronnie
That's. That's how the trope works, you know, you have to learn what it's like to be a poor person before you can become the hero that you were meant to be.
Ben
What a journey. What a journey. So, yeah, he has to kiss that. The fecal. Fecal matter. Feet. Fecal feet. Now, over in King's Landing, we're back with a small council. Torn is there now as our new Master of Coin. And Damon walks in. He's like, great news, everyone. I have a totally reliable story that has no holes in it whatsoever. Here is a burnt head of a guy who was riding the dragon. Clearly, this is someone who'd be riding a dragon. And I killed him. And we can just. We can just close out that. That whole storyline. Okay, Have a great day.
Ronnie
I've missed you. Good to see you. Here's a burnt head of the person who murdered your son. Gotta go, gotta go. She's like, wait, wait, wait.
Ben
I bought Starbucks for everyone.
Ronnie
Yeah. And Manderly just keeps going. I love Manderly. Is, like, waving around his little quill in the air. He's so funny, the guy he's playing. Manderly.
Ben
Yeah. He's got. He's has, like a Tom Holtz energy.
Ronnie
Yeah. And Damon's like, who the fuck are you? He's like, sir Toy and Manderly, my prince. A new Master of Coin, what little there is to be master of. Am I right? We are broke, bitch. And he's like, okay, okay, I'm the clever one here. Okay? You.
Ben
Who do you think you are? Some sort of Lannister? So Mazaria is like, what small quantity of gold Damon has found must go to ease the deprivations of the small folk. Like, could you speak a little faster, Miss Arya? It's like, no. The City Watch gets the money. The City Watch has been stretched too far thin. Our soldiers need to be paid more.
Ronnie
More.
Ben
So they're going back and forth. It needs to go here, it needs to go there. It needs to go here, it needs to go there. And Ray Ray is just like. She's looking at this head with his like. Like two teeth in it. It's like, charred. And she's like having a. She's. She's having like a moment, right? Because it's like, she's so. She's still grieving.
Ronnie
Yeah. And she's like, wait a minute. How does this makes everybody leave? So everybody leaves except Damon. She's like, what is this?
Ben
This?
Ronnie
And he's like, how did. Who is he? And how did they come to claim a wild dragon? Like, was he allied to a man? Or do you have any answers here? He's like, well, a dragon is not a precise instrument. Okay, can I go?
Ben
She's like, is this a volleyball with a tooth stuck onto it? A volleyball? It's. It has a red handprint on it. Also, is this just. Is this just a Wilson that you got off of ebay? It's like, no, no.
Ronnie
Does Tommy know that you've taken this? So he's like, she's like, also, where's the dragon? You're supposed to be chasing this guy. You knew that it had the dragon, but now it doesn't have the dragon. Cuz he's dead. What? What? The. The dragon. He's like, oh, ran away. Whoops.
Ben
It's like, also, I wanted to kill him, by the way. I wanted to look him in his eyes and kill him. And you kind of killed him for me. Like, like, stop that. You ruined it.
Ronnie
Killed my son. So I wanted to be the one to kill him. He's like, oh, my bad, sorry. You know. You know, dragons, they just get pissed and they burn people up. And so she's like, okay, well, we've got gold and the city, you know, help the Small folk with the gold. Okay, now go. Just go. So he passes Missouri in the hall. He's like, oh, well, when you've what you've wrought comes falling down about your ears, she'll return to her senses. She's like, whose head is that? Those two meeting each other for fills
Ben
every time they see each other. So then meanwhile, Allison is hanging around and she's with Helena. And Ray Ray comes in and she's like, hey, here's a ring. Just so you know, I'm not really a monster. I am having your father's remains delivered to Oldtown. So here's.
Ronnie
Yeah, here's your dad ring. So she gives him the ring and they're like, oh my God, we're such best friends. And she leaves. And then Helena comes up and Helena, they're. I guess it's Helena's big boobs. Like. Like her boobs are bigger. And Allison looks at her boobs and she's like, wait a minute, Helena, did you get pregnant? You know, she gives her that look like, who got you pregnant, Helena?
Ben
Well, she tries to help. She tries to help to help close her robe. And Helena's like, don't touch her much. And then she's like, oh my God. Helena. Helena. I mean, who, by the way, who did get. Who did she get pregnant with? You think this is Amond?
Ronnie
Amen? No, Ray. Ray's husband.
Ben
Do you think it's Aegon? No.
Ronnie
Could it be Aegon? Well, I guess that's her husband. I don't think Aegon ever slept with his. His sister while wife.
Ben
Who else has been around? Who else has been hanging around?
Ronnie
I don't know. I don't. I don't even know how to speculate because they don't really show that much of Helina. They showed her last week looking at a caterpillar and writing something in a journal with a half butterfly, half skeleton thing. So I don't know what the.
Ben
Who did this? So now we back to Tumbleton. Everything is every. You know, it's just. It's just business as usual. And Templedon these days, except for the fact that there's all these high towers there. And here comes Hugh Hammer. Hugh flies over the city with his dragon and then takes a seat a perch and look over. It's like, everyone. Hugh is here. But little does he realize there is sadness afoot. His brother in law is about to get a real have a really bad night because down in some sort of of dungeony area, I imagine it turns out that there's a little Dragon in there? Because that's. That's Darren's dragon. And he's there and Ormond comes in. What'd you say?
Ronnie
Darren has a dragon named Tessarion. This is the thing. I love that we used to get to see the dragons at every stage in this show because at the Veil we saw the little baby dragons walking around and now we get to see like a. You know, I mean, how old do you think this dragon is? Is.
Ben
I don't. I don't know. Dragon ears. So like, to me it looks like an adolescent. Yeah, right.
Ronnie
Oh, it's so cute. So he's with his little dragon and Ormond comes in and he's like, I've warned you against intuiting and affection for that beast. And the dragon's like, like, don't with me. I don't know English, but I know tones, potpourri. You want to pee?
Ben
Dragon has like little bangs. It's like in its emo stage cuz it's a teenager. And so Ormond Ormond now sees Darren and he's like, he's like, you are a good boy. You speak kindly and you say your prayers. And I have raised you right in the light of the seven. And the father smiles upon you, but there is taint in your blood. The Targaryens are savagery. Spore in intellect, but rich in cunning. With dark spells they created abominations. That's you to Sarion, anyway. To submit what was rightly asked.
Ronnie
Yeah, you come from blonde people and they are satanic. They make dragons. And you are not going to be that. Do you hear me? He's like, okay, okay, okay. So he's like, well, the brutes raise a woman to the Iron Throne. A desecration. Women? Are you kidding? What are we gonna do? Let them drive. Next.
Ben
It was a blessing that you came toward an old town. I taught you things like fashion and skin care. Your brothers are lost, but you, you, you remain a high tower raised in the shadow of the citadel. In the light of the star is Sept. Now you must be king.
Ronnie
Oh, so Ormond's gonna make his own play now.
Ben
So just by the way, for those keeping tabs, the people who are claiming the throne are. Raina. Now we've got Darren. We still have Aegon.
Ronnie
Wait, Ray. Ray.
Ben
What did I say? Ray, I meant.
Ronnie
Sorry, just. But go ahead. Sorry. You're making a list.
Ben
I probably like destroy, but I'll.
Ronnie
I'll.
Ben
Driving people nuts. From the top. Darren. Ray. Ray. Aon. And now Helena's new baby.
Ronnie
Well, Helena's baby is going to have to wait a second because you're a baby.
Ben
You know, that baby is going to be a thing.
Ronnie
Oh, yeah.
Ben
That's going to be. Actually.
Ronnie
Yeah. I'm actually surprised because I don't. I didn't read the books or anything, but the first season, like you'd mentioned earlier, time jumped, and people grew up so fast between the first and the second seasons that they're still kind of staying in this eight. I'm surprised I haven't jumped and shown more characters and stuff yet. Not that I'm complaining because I've grown to really like these characters, but, yeah, I guess Helena's baby is going to grow up and do some.
Ben
Yeah, it's. It's gonna be rough.
Ronnie
Yeah. So Darren's like, you don't want me to turn against my own brothers, right? And he's like, yes, it's the will of the gods, so do it. Okay. So then they bring in the brother, Cat's brother, the villager guy. And Darren's like, wait, I thought you let that guy go. And he's like, a righteous king must demonstrate he upholds many virtues. Honor, wisdom, and justice. And the only way that people act ever get respect on this show is by murdering someone with the sword. Here's my sword. Murder him or your do it.
Ben
And Darren's like, well, I guess I got to do this. So he stabs him in the gut. I was like, oh, I thought, be a beheading, but stabs him in the gut. And then the show pretty much ends with theion being like, aaron did it.
Ronnie
I mean, of course you're not supposed to like it. I guess this is where you see him turn or whatever. Become a man or whatever they're trying to show us. But I didn't like it because he's like him. Yeah. He's like, isn't mercy something that a ruler, Like a quality that a ruler has? He's like, no stopping a bus. Just kill him and he does it. I didn't like it. Yeah, I was hoping he'd maybe kill ormond or something, but maybe he'll turn.
Ben
Maybe he'll be like, maybe he'll be better in the future. Future. Like, maybe, you know, he might not be pure evil. No, it's. The same actor is going to be playing link in the liveaction Zelda movie, by the way.
Ronnie
Really?
Ben
Yeah. How about that?
Ronnie
Well, I like him. So far, we've really only had this episode, Baron.
Ben
I feel like Darren just needs to get, like, some better role Models, Honestly, not his fault.
Ronnie
You know what? He can.
Ben
And I actually like. I like Orland or I mean Ormond as a villain. I think he's a good villain so far. He's, like, charismatic in a way that, that I think the show benefits from.
Ronnie
Yeah, he's good because not all the villains on Game of Thrones are, you know, like, hotties, too.
Ben
Yeah.
Ronnie
And I love a nice butt shot.
Ben
Yeah. Yeah. I, I, I like a crafty villain more than I like just like a dow villain. Like, to me, aond is a dower villain who's just, like, annoying, but at least the like. Ormond is like a very hatable crafty villain. We're like, oh, I hate this guy. But I sort of appreciate his cunningness,
Ronnie
you know, And I like that they're kind of giving him some gay slants, you know, like some little nods to us, even though he's a. But I'll take it, you know, even
Ben
if it's just queer baiting, I'm okay with it. My queer baiting. That's fine.
Ronnie
Listen, if the bait's good, the fish are going to eat. That's how it goes.
Ben
Yeah, it's okay.

Ben
School always makes me nostalgic. New shoes, sharpened pencils, Trapper Keepers lunch boxes and trying to memorize your friend's home phone number. But parenting during Back to School looks a little different now. Between school pickups, carpools, practices and after school activities, kids need a way to reach their parents. And honestly, they need a way to reach them too.
Ronnie
But a regular smartphone can come with a lot more than just calls and texts. Social media, Internet browsers, endless apps, and constant distractions that can be a lot for kids to carry into the school year. My friends have a kid and they were fighting over whether to get the kid a phone because you kind of have to have a phone phone as a kid in today's world. But they did not want their kid to have the tiny computer, the gateway to a lot of bad things in their hand. And this is the perfect solution.
Ben
That's where Gab comes in. Gab makes phones and watches designed for kids with no social media apps and no Internet browsers. They give kids the connection they need while giving parents helpful features like GPS check ins, optional managed contacts, safer messaging, and even the option for Gab Manager music. Clean songs curated specifically for kids.
Ronnie
It's a more age appropriate way for kids to build independence and a much easier way for parents to feel good about that first phone or watch.
Ben
We can't recommend Gab enough and right now use our code to get 25 off a kid's phone. That can make parenting easier and give you more peace of mind.

Ben and Ronnie’s recap blends in-depth (if delightfully scattered) analysis with relentless parody and pop-culture references. They praise the world-building and acting, call out the show’s handling of certain themes, and gleefully mock the absurdity of both plot and production—especially Rhaenyra’s “brilliant” leadership, Ormond’s scented lifestyle, NPC misery, and the endless posturing over who truly sits the throne. Throughout, their banter is self-aware, campy, and occasionally gleefully vulgar.
