Hello and welcome to W.E. my name is Joe Mitiga and I'm the host of the WE podcast. Have you ever looked around at your life and wondered, how'd you end up here? Not because your life's falling apart, not because you failed, but because something deep inside you no longer feels certain. The world is changing. Relationships, changing careers, changing our dreams, changing. And sometimes, quite honestly, even the person staring back at you in the mirror begins to change. Many people are quietly asking themselves the same question. Why do I feel so lost right now? What if. Just what if the feeling of loss, though, isn't a sign that you're broken? What if it's a sign that you haven't truly failed? What if the feeling of lost is actually something entirely different? What if this uncomfortable space between who you were and who you're becoming is causing that sense of loss? In this episode, we're going to explore why so many people around the globe feel so disconnected from their purpose, uncertain about their future, unsure of where they belong. Quite honestly, in this really rapidly changing world. We will talk about the emotional growth, the spiritual awakening, and the self discovery that often emerges during life's periods of uncertainty. And why getting lost may sometimes be the first step towards finding yourself again. Perhaps because the goal isn't to return to who you used to be. Perhaps the goal is to become who you were always meant to become. And that, my friends, is what I call the We. Welcome to We. I want to welcome everybody here today. And as always, I want to just share my appreciation, my gratitude. I'm just in a place of grace at the the thousands of people that are coming into our community here at We. And I welcome all of you. I thank all of you. I love the support and I just love the feedback we're getting. You know, we're doing something different here. We're actually talking about and helping people understand what's happening in the world and the world. Quite honestly, the reason the world feels like it's changing so much faster now than ever before. You know why that is? Because it is changing faster than ever before. No question. The introduction of AI Humanity waking up to her feminine sense of self, the speed at which information can travel, the way in which finances can go around the globe. There's not a component of society in today's world anywhere similar to what it used to be 10 years ago. I literally heard a gentleman say, because of AI, the advancement of medicines and science, and all of those worlds that are going to bring true benefit, health benefit to humanity over the next three or four years because of AI, will be 300 years of advancement in four or five years because of AI. And you know what, folks? That by definition is a really fast changing world. And if that's not enough, you as a being are changing. We as a humanity are changing. We are waking up. We are waking up to the feminine side of ourselves at a rate at which humanity has never seen. And that's why things can feel so crazy. That's why things can feel like you're so lost. Our last episodes, you know, feeling alone and just everything that you're going on inside of you, it's real. And I want you to hear me. It's real. And in episodes in the past, I have promised not to cuss because I get those little red checks next to my Apple episodes. I'm not making that promise this time. I have heard some of the craziest unconscious. Ridiculously, I would cuss right here. I'm not going to do it so early stuff. It's just not true. And I'm going to bring some clarity around some different delusional belief systems of what spirituality and communion and connection is. And what I'm hearing some of these people out there in the world that have a million followers or more that are telling people something that is simply not true. Now hear me. I'm not suggesting that the authors or the speakers are. The people that are sharing it are being deceitful. I'm not. They're not. They just quite honestly don't know what the hell they're talking about. And I'm going to talk about that. And you know what? Before I do, I've got some amazing announcement. Our podcast is literally on five different continents. Now, I want to welcome everybody from Norway, from the United Kingdom, from Germany. You know, we've got people in Jamaica, we have people in Cameroon, people from Japan, France, India, Australia. The list goes on and on. And why is that? Because it doesn't matter where you live. It doesn't matter if you're man or woman. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, green, or freaking orange. You, you are all part of humanity. And you're here today because a part grander than you brought you here. How do I know? Because it's truly a part grander than Joe doing these podcasts. And I could go down a list of how and why I Know that. But all you have to do, go on the top charts. Literally, today I went on the top charts, the top global charts of Apple. The we podcast last week was 151. Now we're 186. We're in that range because of all of you. And how could we possibly be doing it? A man with a microphone. No, it's not a man with a microphone. It's a man with a microphone who has 40 years of practice at listening to a power much grander than him and sharing the voice of that power. I call it my divinity. And all I can tell you folks, you're here, and you're here for a reason. And a lot of you will come into the WE episodes, into the library, and you're listening to more and more episodes, and I applaud you. Why? Because it's not easy. My stuff is not easy. My topics are not easy. I am sharing things that a lot of people have never even heard of. And I applaud you. I do. I will continue to encourage, keep coming back and go into different episodes, especially if you find some episode where I say something and you're just ahead. Your head wants to explode in rage, Perfect. I said something. The divinity in me said something to your divinity. Sharing that there's rage inside. Give it a voice, let it out, share it. Rage comes out by expression, not avoidance. Something we're going to talk about here today. And you know, it's one of those things to where it's by design, quite honestly, the library that's being created, I want you to know it'll always be here. It'll never change. We're expanding, but the format's not going to change. Why? Because this is the way I give back. And I've been on a path for a really long time. And quite honestly, I had no idea this is where I was going to end up. I didn't. I always knew I wanted to share my experience, strength, and hope with the world in such a way where I could have the opportunity to have an opportunity to make a difference in people's lives. That's been a passion for me my whole life. Well, welcome to the we podcast. And because of all of you, my passion, my purpose, my why I wake up in the morning is being realized and lived. And every topic I talk about with so much passion, with so much clarity today is because I lived it. And that's why I'm not a tell you what to do tiger podcast. I'm not going to sit here and tell you what you're feeling. I'm not going to sit here and tell you you got to manifest to be in some crazy ass perspective. None of that's true. It's not true. Basically, you are where you are because you are divinely on a spiritual path. How do I know? If you weren't on a spiritual path, you would not be on this podcast. And the delusional ridiculousness because you might be having a hard day or you're in darkness or you feel like a victim. Any of the perspectives that aren't comfortable, as if you're in the wrong place. Falsehood. And that's part of why I'm not promising to cuss. I'm going to share some stories and I'm going to do the best I can not to name names, but there's just a lot of stuff out there, especially in social media, that's a falsehood. It's just false. And I'm going to talk about some of it today. No wonder people are so lost. No wonder people are so lost. And you know, one of the reasons that the voices of we are being created and is because I want people to understand. I want all of you, the global listeners, to hear spiritually connected people, spiritually connected to their hearts based on their deep, dark experiences they've had in the past, share their glory. But the truth is I'm not a how to podcast. I'm going to have a lot of guests that are going to want to come on here, but if they're not willing to tell me what they did on a Tuesday morning when they are in the darkest of their dark, not interested, why go to some other podcast that only wants to hear the goody goody. Why? Because that's not what the we podcast is. Now I am all about celebrating the end result of walking through your dark, making it on the other side of devastation. But if we don't share the devastation, if we don't put words to the dark, then for the most of us out there that aren't anywhere close to walking on water, we're still in challenging times. We're still trying to figure out life every freaking day. There's no hope in that. There's none. I hear some of these celebrities that get on there and they act like they're freaking Jesus and you just have to keep moving through and all those motivational nonsense. Is that a bad thing? No. Does it change anything? No, it doesn't. I promise you I will do the best I can never to allow the we podcast to go there. Why what's the foundation in which I build the we podcast experience. Strength, Hope. Experience. First, the dark, the miserable, the hateful, the I can't breathe, the I don't know how the heck I'm going to make it out of Tuesday stories and then share the strength that they made it from Tuesday to the following Tuesday to the following month to the following year. Share the strength and then share the result. Of course I want people to hear the result. I'm a living result. If you embrace the depths of yourself, you come out the other side grander than you can comprehend honestly. And folks, that's why I always tell my story, my personal story, and listen to numerous podcasts I have out there. Modern day Monk or the podcast that Wayne Dyer quotes Jesus, some of my earlier podcasts. I'm telling my story. And those of you who are new here today, I always have to kind of repeat it a little bit because there's tens of thousands of people coming on new every day now. Literally. And you know, my story dates back into the early 90s. I was a drinker and drugger every day. My drug of choice back in the day was out all sex, working out, working too much. You name it, I did it. And one day a buddy walks in. I have my second conscious thought, and he was being asked to go 90 days and go to 90 meetings in 90 days. His initial introduction to AA. And I remember thinking, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Who would not want to drink? That's just stupid. But that was the first. The second thing I said to myself at almost 31 was, when was the last time I went 90 days? And it was in that moment, two by four across the forehead. I know I was 14. I didn't drink every day at 14, but I can't say that at 15. I guarantee you there wasn't a 90 day period of time from 15 to almost 30. Made it seven days on the seventh day. Addiction had me by the throat. 30 minutes into this particular experience, I put my hands out and said, God, if I'm not supposed to drink or drug, I need your help. And it was in that humility moment, a rush of energy, literally. I felt it go through my body and a tear out my side of my eye. And why do I say that? Why is that so profound? For Joe, I had no relationship with a power greater. If I heard the word God back in those days, the hair on the back of my neck would raise and I wanted nothing to do with God. I always knew there was A God. I was not atheist, I wasn't agnostic. I knew there was a God. But my exposure to God was do it a particular way that a particular religion says you have to do it and if you don't, you're going to burn in hell for eternity. I remember I was in my early 20s and said that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. How can you say God is all loving, but if you don't do it the way he says burning in hell, how do those things match in the same sentence? The truth is they don't. That was human interpretation of the Bible, of verses whatever, and it is what it is. Believe what you want, whatever's working for you, please know I honor you. It didn't work for me. But in that moment I asked and in that moment my compulsions were removed. Fast forward 50 some odd days had memories of being sexually abused as a kid. From that spot forward, April 16, 1994. I knew my world would be never the same. Seven years I went into a deep dark. Every day, all day, every day. Lived on less than $3,000 a year, folks. For seven years. $250 a month. Try it to do what? I just wanted to stop hurting. And I made it. Made it on the other side. My book, which is coming out now, soon, called Filling the void. Back then it was called your inner child has rights to 106,000 some odd words. We've cut it down to now. It's like 99,000 words. Filling the void. It's available. It's going to be available. Everything I talk about here on the we podcast, all of the different techniques I talk about on the we podcast, I was taught, I did go, went through this process during the John Bradshaw eras of life, the Wayne Dyer eras of life, and you know, so basically all of the techniques, right? Dual hand journaling and inner child work that was taught to me by my counselor slash sponsor Nancy back in the day, all of it was taught to her by John Bradshaw. And the spiritual beliefs I have, the step work I talk about all the time, all of that is mirrored through the 12 steps of any addiction recovery. And I'm blessed to say, 32 years later, here we are. And that's why I talk about all the time. I want everybody on this podcast to understand I am no different Than you. You and I are the same. I'm not a doctor, I'm not a researcher, I'm certainly not a therapist. I'm not, I'm none of those things now. I sought support from counselors and therapists for decades. I am a huge proponent of support. Why? Because it's not meant to be done alone. Hence the we. And as the voices of we expand, I just talked to my second contributor. Shane Pope is his name. This young man at 17, at 17 he had to walk through his 48 year old father dying of cancer at 17. He's 32 now. He's got a passion, he's got overflow. He's got a new download, whatever you call it, go to wherever you download stuff. It's called Remy. Don't know a whole lot about it, but I promise you, you're going to want to download this app called Remy. And Shane has willingly agreed to be one of the, the contributors here. Another man named Paul. Paul was my first, Shane is my second. I've got two women that I hope to talk to right when I get back next week, two weeks and one other man. So in the beginning it's going to be five, five additional voices. Why? Because I want people to hear the message, not the man. I'm the one here in the beginning. I'm the one kind of putting it out there. I'm sharing my experience, strength and hope. I'm going to be talking to each one of these people throughout any given month. I'm going to be telling the stories through my interpretation of their stories. And then towards the end of the year, first of next year, they're going to be on as guest, consistently on as guests. We're expanding the we podcast. First second week in July, there's going to be two episodes. An episode released on Tuesday, the episode released on Thursdays. This episode that I'm doing now is a Thursday episode. The Tuesday episodes are going to be more personal growth and emotional growth and the stories of the we voices. And eventually the we voices people will be on that show and we're going to have other people come on. I want the world to know that if I can do it, you can do it. And I know for a fact there are some personalities. Like I was telling Shane today, I said, you know, I guarantee you right now, right now as I'm speaking, there's somebody, man or woman, in their upper 20s, living life in a tough spot, in a dark spot, don't know what the hell to do. And you're literally as you're listening to me probably saying, that old guy has no idea what I'm going through. And you're right, I don't. I'm 60 something. Shane is 30 something. Shane knows what you're going through. And that's why I'm gonna have that voice there. I, I literally had to apologize to him ahead of time. I said, shane, please understand. I mean, no respect, but I'm gonna call you the kid. Anybody in my world that's under 50 something, I call everybody a kid out of respect. And I told him, like I said to Shane, I said, I don't know what a something year old is going through in 20, 26. I don't know. I don't. He does. And that's why I'm going to expand. The gentleman, Paul, who had to tell his drug addicted daughter 10 years ago, no, you cannot come home. I don't know what that's like. I didn't have a drug addicted daughter 10 years ago. He does. He did. Great story. Sobriety day. Paul's going to be talking. Paul's world is more than the Al Anon recovery world. And the great news is the daughter got sober. She now has her master's degree. She's giving back. In what world? Oh, that's right. Addiction recovery. It works, folks. And the power of the we voices is that I'm going to make sure that each of you get to hear, experience, strength and hope from people beyond Joe. So I want to get into something and why I was just so fired up this week. You know, life is hard enough. It is. It's already pretty hard. Especially if you're on some type of emotional path, spiritual path. And the facts of the matter are as humanity is growing and as humanity is changing, the techniques of our yesterday simply don't work anymore. Today it doesn't work. The whole change your mind concept through the positive affirmations, was that a fabulous thing 40 years ago? Yeah. Why? Because before that there was nothing. Does it work? No. Does it heal anything? No. How do I know? Because if it did, if positive affirmations actually healed and it actually worked and you could actually just change your mind by a flip, why would you ever have to do it a second time? Why would you ever have to do it a third time? Why would you still have to be doing it 20 years later? Why? Because it doesn't work. Why? It doesn't work. Not because it's a bad thing, not because anybody's trying to be deceitful. It doesn't work because the source of the voice that is in your head is not in your head, it's in your heart. It isn't in your head, it's in your heart. And that's why I was listening to a couple different people and this is where I'd start cussing. I'm not kidding. I'm listening to a man, I can only listen for a minute or two and he's on a podcast that has had 100 million downloads in its lifetime, maybe more. So this particular gentleman is on a podcast with a massive audience, basically saying those thoughts in your head, you just need to get rid of those. The neuroscience says you can go to a place and you're just not doing it right. Come to my ten thousand dollar workshop for the next five freaking years and I'll teach you how. I wanted to come through a microphone. It's not true, folks. It's not. I listened to another gentleman who's literally. You know what I really think just a pompous doesn't know what the heck he's talking about. Freaking stop making people wrong personality now. Is he trying to. No, he wasn't. What was this guy's credentials? Why was this particular human on another podcast that has tens of millions of downloads? Why was he there? His credentials. You know what his credentials were? Well, you know, I'm a doctor and I got an Ivy League education and you know, I've run businesses with a thousand people. And you know what I call people who, you know, they have that victim mentality. Those people, they just need to change the victimhood and go into manifestation stage. You miserable sob. You pompous. Who in the heck do you think you are? Is what I wanted to say to him. To judge somebody because your voices in your head call you a victim. No, folks, you're not wrong. There's nothing wrong with you. If you're on a podcast like this right now and you hear those voices that say the world's out to get me. No one here for me. I can't make a dollar. I work my ass off and I'm still freaking broke. Nothing I do pleases people. Nothing that isn't. There's nothing wrong with that. Hear me? There's nothing wrong with that. You're hurting. And for these pompous. I was not happy. I was downright mad. Why so one thing I have is a huge protector part for some random ass human to make an entire class of human being less than. Because you hear victim voices. You're not. You're not less than. You're in a tough Spot? Yes. Challenging spot? Yes. Dark spot? Yes. Hurting spot? Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Are you wrong? No. You're not wrong. Can I help you get out of there? Yes. By changing your mind? No. It doesn't work. Now, I'm going to talk about that in the first section of this podcast. What we do. Read my book. Read the book. Filling the Void. Please, dear God, go get the book. Especially if you're in that place. I lived in that place for seven years. No one there. No money. No one to help, no one to talk to. I was persecuted by my own voices. But I will tell you, my counselor, Nancy, never made me wrong. Never. John Bradshaw would have never made me wrong. So if you're in that place and you hear somebody that's trying to make you wrong or make you less than or make you something other than perfect, you tell them Mr. Joe said to go to blank, blank, blank. There is nothing wrong with me. You tell them Mr. Joe said. And folks, I can help you walk out of that. It's not easy. It's not easy. You want to know what lower vibrational nonsense really looks like? When a random ass human being who's never been there. Who do you think paid for that Ivy League college? He didn't. How many times you think he needed to go for money? He's running a business with a thousand people. Do I make him wrong? No. I celebrate his success. I celebrate his education. I celebrate that. It sounds like he had a great family to grow up in. The rest of us didn't. This doesn't make him right or wrong, and it doesn't make you right or wrong. But to act as if something wrong with. Because your view right now is. Is one of hard, one of challenge, one of addiction, one of pain, doesn't make you wrong. It makes you you. Now, if you want to get out of where you are, let me help. This particular gentleman was literally living in the delusional ridiculousness that you have to move from victimhood to manifestation consciousness and then you're going to be all right. That's a BS line. No, you're not. Well, Joe, why would you say that? Why wouldn't manifestation be a great thing? Manifestation is a great thing, but let's just make it as clear as I can possibly make it. There's one guy. All time was started around 1. His name is Jesus. I don't care if you don't believe In Christianity, I don't care if you were like me. You don't have any belief system in religion. I don't care, that's fine. But if you believe today is June 18th at 3 o', clock, because that's when I'm doing this audio right now. It's only this day because of one man. His name was Jesus. And guess what? You know what? Jesus died with nothing nailed to a board across naked. He didn't own a thing. He had zero possessions. So Mr. Oh, you're in a higher. You're doing greater. You're a better person when you're manifesting. Nonsense. Mother Teresa, her entire life she gave to the poor. She owned nothing. One of the most beautiful beings that ever existed. Now do I hope I can help you move from buried in your darkness to manifesting things so your life is easier? Yes, yes. And I can, I can, we can walk through that together. We can, I can help you walk through it. But when I hear these random ass influencers out there talking to millions of people, acting as if any level of consciousness is greater or worse than any other level, it's simply not true. They're not God, folks. You're on the path you're on. You're on the path you're on. I don't know why you're on your path. I don't know what lessons you have to learn. I don't know if you're going to grow or not grow. You might die an active alcoholic. Millions do. Do you have to? No, no. Do you have to live a life in dark and paint? No, you don't. No, you don't. But are you less than? Because that's where you are now. No, you're not. And let's go to the far other side. Do you know how many multi millionaire, super successful travel the planet people there are that are lost, alone, can't breathe in pain? Millions. Millions. Does that make them less? They manifested anything on the planet they could have except the wholeness in their belly. Does that make them less than? No. Does it make them greater than because they got a big house? No. Quite honestly, it makes them more miserable. At least for those of us that lived in dark misery with no money, we at least had the hope that if we had money things would be better. How about you on the far other side and you're sitting in the middle of your 10,000 square foot mansion with 40 different cars and people around you all the time and you still feel lost and lonely and addicted. How would you like to be that person. That's why I'm hoping that the founder of this new website that I came across called Divorce Post, I'm hoping she agrees to be one of my contributors. Why? Her passion is reinvention. Why is divorce rate so high? Because we're unmoral and all the ridiculous nonsense that organizations put on it? No, because we're growing and some people paths are different. People's paths don't grow at the same rate. And if you're married to somebody or were or are or don't know and you're growing and they're not, or they're growing and you're not, relationships either grow or they go, folks. They just do. Well, this particular person, she's got this website. I'm not exactly kind of making up as it goes, but I just read a little bit, right. About Reinvention. Yes. Hope she agrees because there's a massive number of you right now on this podcast. More money than month. Everything should be okay. Everything should be wonderful. I love life, I love my kids, I love. I should be okay. But I'm not. Why? Because you're lost. Why? Because of everything we're going to talk about throughout the rest of this podcast. As you know, if you've been on my podcast for a while, I tend to split them up, split the podcast into the mental perspective, the emotional perspective and the spiritual perspective. And then I share my story and how I live those things. And I'm going to do the same thing here. But I want you to understand, I want you to understand how and or why there are different techniques out there where people literally believe. If they can help you change your consciousness, then you'll be spiritually aware or spiritually enlightenment. I'm going to tell you why that's just completely a falsehood and why it doesn't work. Consciousness. What is consciousness, by the way? What is your consciousness? Well, your consciousness is. Each individual person has a consciousness. And your consciousness is basically the part of you that you live life through. You live life as you live from its perspective, from its vibration, from its descriptions. It's consciousness. Some people are completely closed down and they don't have any type of internal thought. I will never forget as long as I live in early 20s. My older sister came into my office one time. She had already become aware that you can hear your thoughts. Folks, you know, if you look around the room, in any given Saturday afternoon, any given church event, any given social event, any given sports event, if you look around your environment, around you, 70 to 80 to 90% of the people around you, they do not know that. They do not know they can hear their own thoughts. Think about that. You wonder why people can be so challenging and they never change anything and they continue to have a destructive life. Why? Because they don't have the conscious awareness that they can hear their own thoughts. I'm going to talk about that later. I'll never forget when I first learned that. For me, that's been almost 40 years ago. But for most today, right now, look around the room. I guarantee you as you're sitting here listening to this, you wouldn't make it in 36 and a half minutes in a podcast like this one or any of my podcasts if you weren't consciously aware, if you weren't consciously awake, if you hadn't already been practiced at hearing your own thoughts. But I promise you, as we're speaking, somebody you love dearly can't hear their own thoughts. A mother, a father, a sister, a daughter, a son, your partner, your spouse, your co worker, your boss, your understudy. I don't know who it is. Look around, you'll find them. And why does this one particular person who charges tens of thousands of dollars to come to the workshop has 1.2 million followers? Why does he have all that? Because the way he talks so convincingly that all you have to do is you're in control of changing your consciousness. If you do the right type of meditation and if you change your consciousness from victim to manifestation consciousness, then everything's okay and you're enlightened from that position. You know why? I know that's just not true. A, if it worked, you'd never have to go back to a second workshop, which of course there's always workshop one, then workshop two, then workshop three, and then it's always more money and then it's always more intense and it's always your fault because you did it wrong. No, no fault, no blame. This human just lives in that conscious state of really believing what he's saying is true. And I've got the science and I've got the neuro nonsense and all that stuff. Let me just tell you why. For an absolute fact. I know none of that's factual when it comes to spirituality. You know why? What is spirituality? What is religion? What is spirituality? I define religion, which I love, works for billions. Religion is about creating a relationship with whoever your religious deity is. Christianity, it's Jesus, Buddha, it's not Muslim, Muhammad, whoever it is. Right? I'm not quoting. I'm not a religious guy. You're Creating relationship with what? Spirituality. You're becoming one with. You're becoming one with. Why does 67% of Americans consider themselves more spiritual than religious? Why? Because humanity is waking up. Waking up to what? The feminine side of ourselves. What's in the feminine side of ourselves? The spiritual sense of you and the emotional sense of you. The emotional sense is the hard part, and I'm going to talk about that in length here in just a couple minutes. But how do I know the neuroscience nonsense. And why do I call it nonsense? Because people listen and then when it doesn't work, they blame themselves. I did that forever. Forgiveness, not an action step. If you can't forgive somebody, you're fine. Simply means you can't. You're hurting, still. Surrender, not an action step. If you're can't surrender, it's because the part of you who's holding on is still hurting. Surrender. Not an action step. Forgiveness, not an action step. They're not action steps. Listen to my podcast. I've got two or three podcasts on why I can't let go. Please, dear God, if there's something in your world you can't let go of, please know you're okay. It just means you're still hurting now. Doesn't mean you get to take your crap out on the person that you can't forgive. No, but forgiveness and loving somebody are completely different things. If you can't forgive, you can't do it because a part of you still hurting. I have two different podcasts. Look at my titles. If the word forgiveness is in it, listen to it. Please, dear God. It will help. It will tell others. So how do I know the neuroscience and the consciousness is. And it has nothing to do with enlightenment and oneness. If I was to ask you one word, give me one word to describe the God of your understanding, one word, what would it be? Would you say, a God of my understanding is thought, A God of my understanding is mind? No, nobody would say that. Now this guy might. But what would you say, one word to describe one essence of every modern day religion? What is it? It's called love, folks. L, O, V E. What is love? A thought? No, love's an emotion.

Are your emotions in your head? No, emotions are in your heart. Emotions are in your heart, not your head. And that's why when people try to tell you to change your mind and do meditation, and the neuroscience says you can change your brain waves, and if you change your brain waves and move into a different consciousness, you're going to be one with God, that's why it's all crap. It doesn't work. Why? You don't find God in your head. You find God in your heart. Why? Because God is love. Love is in your heart, not your head. Now why are people so confused about that? Why are these people passionate about their belief system? You know why? Because from the mental side of life, your consciousness, consciousness is humanity's most free concept. Consciousness is humanity's grandest perspective of itself. Consciousness is humanity's idea of control and abundance and action and, and, and. But do you hear the adjective I keep describing consciousness from? Oh, that's right, your humanity, folks. Spirituality is about surrendering your humanity and moving into a different guidance system beyond your humanity. The we, Higher self, human self, inner self. Yeah. So people that literally believe that their consciousness and changing their consciousness and moving into a conscious place of abundance causes okayness, it's a falsehood. Why? Because your consciousness is directly proportional to your humanity. Now, I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I think it's a great thing. Especially in the beginning when your consciousness starts realizing. When your humanity uses your consciousness to your advantage, instead of completely unconscious, you become conscious. But spirituality and communion and oneness, folks, is about the surrendering of your humanity. And what does surrendering mean? Surrendering means you learn how to be guided by a different you. And that's exactly what I'm going to talk about in the third section of spirituality here today. So from a mental side of things, right, why are people so lost? Well, first off, they're lost because you've got massive numbers of these unconscious influencers out here telling millions of people that abundance comes from changing your mind, folks. It doesn't. It's not how it works. It's not how it works, period. So. Well, Joe. Jesus. Okay, so it's not how it works. So what do we do? So what is the easiest thing your consciousness can do and why do we feel so lost with it so often? Well, from the mental perspective, right. From the mental positioning of things. Things. When you're mental around things, basically what it's describing is your thought process around pursuing of okayness. And when your thought process of pursuing okayness comes from a hurt perspective, that causes us to be lost. It causes us to, you know, to continue to do the same things over and over and over. And why is that important? Because we can literally start the process of walking out of your darkest times. We can start that process by identifying the voices in your head that you continue to follow that keep you in the darkest Times. The voices in your head that keep you in the no money, in the I'm not good enough, in the shame, in the guilt. The voices in your head. We can start the entire walking out of your difficult world. We can start it by identifying the voices first. And what would that look like? Get out a piece of paper and just start listening and write down any voice you hear. That is what I call glass. Empty. I'm not good enough. I'm a loser. I'm too fat, I'm too skinny. I'll never make money. I'll never this, I'll never that. And the reason we want to start that process is because if you don't know that, you don't know that the voices are there, then how are you ever going to change it? How are you ever going to do anything differently? How do we move from the quote unquote stuck position of victim consciousness, if you will? How do we move from the stuck spot? We have to realize first which voices we're following, which is causing stuck to be normal. Because when you start following a different voice, by definition, stuck is more. Quite honestly, it's not stuck. It's like chasing tail. You do the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and you keep getting the same result. Definition of insanity. Right? But how do you change it? Well, you have to become aware that the voices are there in the first place. How do you become aware of the voices? You start writing them down. Now, I will tell you, that isn't where you get lost. Lost isn't in the really cool spot. Oh my God. I'll never forget. Those are called first steps. Right? My first, first step, I did. My counselor, Nancy told me, write them down, Joe. Write down those voices. You know what my first voice was? I don't have any voices. I don't have any voices. That's the first thing I wrote. I had legal sized pieces of paper. Bullet point, bullet point, bullet point. 12 pages. I think there's 26 or 28 lines times 12. My first first step. Why is that important? Because I didn't know. I had no idea all those voices were in my head. I had no idea those voices were running my life. I had no idea. I did not know that. I did not know that. The reason my world was always so chaotic, always so empty, always so lost, always so poor. Because the only voices I was following were glass empty voices. Now, I will tell you in the beginning, while that is a very cool exercise, right? And it's wonderful and it really fricking helps in the beginning. But does that cause lost? No, that isn't where lost comes in. Lost comes in when you're between the spot of following the old glass empty voices and trying to learn how to follow glass full voices. The part, like I said in my intro, when you're looking in the mirror and the person you're looking at has changed and you feel lost is all get out. Because you just don't know that. You just don't know and you don't know how to do it. That's a challenging spot, folks. It is. I'm going to continue to suggest get my book, read it. Filling the void. Well, I've learned to follow. I wish divinity had a time frame. I wish it could tell the time. Because my divinity can't tell time. My divinity doesn't know if it's 3 o' clock in the morning or 3 o' clock in the afternoon. And that's perfectly fine. If I wasn't a single dad with two kids, homeschooled and running a business, my divinity didn't care, folks. So why am I really doing all this? So I can sleep. I'm kind of joking, but not really. Bigger picture, the veil between me and others, the veil between me and you is gone. I feel what you feel. Right now, I can feel people on this podcast right now listening. Just like you can feel me. I can feel. And one of the techniques. I literally just helped a young woman the other day. When it comes to the mental side of things, one of the reasons we feel so lost is because we are so practiced at looking at that in which we don't have. Hear me? You're so practiced at looking at that which you don't have. Now, a lot of the influencers out there would say you have complete control of how you react to something. Sir, that's just a nonsense line. No, you don't. If you did, great, if you can, congratulations for the rest of us. No, I didn't have complete control of how I reacted to something. Why? Because I was emotionally connected. And if something happened that hurt my feelings or something happened that caused me rage or something happened, I didn't have the ability. Now some people do. How? Because they're completely disconnected from their emotional sense of self. Then they wonder why they, you know, life is so whatever. But you can literally start listening to your own thoughts. Write them down, all the glass empty ones. And then pray for the courage to start hearing the glass full ones. What's the difference? Glass empty or all or nothing? Voices. I can't. This, I'm not. That I'll never. This. I'm not good enough. It's. They're all or nothing. Absolute voices. Those are glass empty voices. Start writing, folks. You will be absolutely surprised at how many you have. What's a glass full voice? The glass full voice is the voice of all possibility. Maybe we can. I think we can. I hope we can. Maybe I can run that marathon. Maybe I can start the cookbook I always wanted to start. Maybe I can find a different type of job. Maybe now. How will you also know the difference between glass empty, glass full? Your glass full voice will have zero time frames to the action step. It's asking you to do we talk about that and why that is so brutally hard for the big quad A personalities. Write your goals down. Put time frames. Work your ass off. You make it work when you decide to make it work. Well, folks, that is the exact opposite of spiritual surrender. We'll talk about that here in a minute. But one thing you can do. I literally was just helping a woman. She called me. She and her husband are going through some financial challenges. The husband is in sobriety. She's in her own spiritual world. And they're both doing fabulous. The challenges in the past, every time they would have a challenge in the world. They'd go have a drink every time they have a challenge in the world, they'd go smoke marijuana or they'd spend a weekend in the bedroom together, whatever it was. Right. So they were literally every time they would have a challenge in the past, not that the behavior of addictive behaviors caused the challenge to get any better, but they'd get a break. Honest to God, they'd get a break. They pick it back up on a Tuesday. Well, they can't do that anymore. They can't use alcohol, they can't use drugs. So she's sitting here, and they're in a particular situation where they're both entrepreneurs. They've got one son, both entrepreneurs. And right now the husband's in between careers, so he's not making much money, maybe none. I'm not exactly sure. And she's in a place to where she's super talented and she's got a small amount of money that she's contracted with like $2,500 a month. And they're in chaos. They're in turmoil. They need more. They're not able to pay their bills. And her immediate belief system is, and what if God takes away the $2,500 a month? What if God takes it away because of how we used to act? I said, honey, there's no such thing as a punishing God. It doesn't exist. Now, I hear you. If you're a voice out there and you're saying, well, that's not what I'm taught on Sunday mornings. I don't care what you're taught on Sunday mornings. Hear me? I do not care what you are taught on Sunday mornings. I don't. Not about a punishing God. It doesn't exist. Just like hell doesn't exist. It doesn't. I'll give you an example why I know that for a fact here in a second. But so the organizations that project do it a particular way, you're going to be punished and go to hell forever. Is also kind of a challenging belief system that when you're in a challenging time, you say, well, maybe, maybe because I drank too much or I cheated on somebody, or I wasn't nice in the past, it's on my karma. And God's going to take it out on me. No, he's not. That's nonsense. Not true. What is true? God's going to give you the strength and courage to pursue. God's going to give you the strength and courage to do it different. God's going to give you the strength and Courage to walk through the darkness. God's going to give you the strength and courage instead of getting drunk and suppressing and negating and avoiding your pain to sit there on a Saturday morning instead of having sex all night, sit there and grieve all night. God's going to give you the strength and courage to heal the reason you're dark. Dark instead of avoid the reason you're dark. And bless her heart, she was in real terror about, I'm in such a challenging time and what if God takes away because I'm like, listen, that isn't God. The God of my understanding is all loving. The God of my understanding is all giving. The God of my understanding is not going to rescue you, but will give you the strength and courage to keep moving forward. And then I asked her, I said, so. And their focus collectively to grown adults was they don't have enough money. I get it. Believe me, I get it. She makes more money in one month than I used to live on. So I get it. But I said to her, I said, so how much money do you need? If you had $4,000, we're texting back and forth, right? I said, so if you had $4,000, would everything be okay? Immediate reply. Yes, exclamation point. I said, okay, well, then it looks to me like God's already given you 70% of the amount of money you need to survive 2,500 into 4,000. Somewhere in there, she was like, oh. I said, okay, so let's look at it in a different way. Mental. So in reality, God's already given you the 2500. He's already given you the skills, the talents, the abilities, the fortitude, the manifestation of the 2500. How and why? Because the gifts you're using on a daily basis to earn the 2500. All gifts are of God. All gifts are of your divinity. So you're already living the gift, and currently it's manifesting $2,500 a month. Over time, that same manifestation, this woman's hugely dynamic. She'll turn that 2500 into 25,000. She just needs some time. So I said, so instead of looking at what you don't have, let's look at what you do have. Mental. You have 2,500. Okay, so you need another 1500. Yes. Okay, so let's think about it. You need another $100 1500amonth. There's 30 days in a month. Because I said something about part time. I said, so there's 30 days in a month, 1500 dollars, so basically between two grown adults, you just have to earn another $50 a day between two of you. $50 a day. Now let me caveat. So it's $50 a day. There's 24 hours in a day. You need to sleep five or six hours, okay, maybe seven. So you literally have 16, 17 hours a day times two, which is 32 hours a day, to make an extra $50 a day. So basically you have to make a $50 an hour in your waking hours. She's like, oh my God, I never looked at it that way. And then I gave her some suggestions, you know, just so I could help her get out of her own trap, her brain. Because she's in between worlds now. These were not active street going. No, they were your normal 30 something, late 30 something year old female, early 40 something year old male stud people. Beautiful. Both of them hard workers their whole life. And they're in that transition, they're in that era of time of learning how to live from force. I can do it. It's all me. I just have to work harder, use the drugs to make it work in the gap between that and a new life. So as I helped her identify mentally, let's stop looking at what we don't have and let's look at what we do have. Does that heal anything? Emotionally? No, emotionally doesn't do a thing. But did that cause her a sense of safety? Yes. Why? Because when she realized she already has 70% of what they need on a monthly basis to truly be okay, it's already done. Created safety, not healing. Safety and healing, two different things, but it created safety. And then I said, okay, let's break up the other 1500 in a per day. So between the two of you, you need to make an extra $50 a day. Oh my gosh. I gave her a couple ideas. My sons, my sons. I've got a 19 year old and a 15 year old. They deliver for Uber. Uber eats those. Talk about a way that if you're around here and you need to make an extra $25 an hour. My two boys make four or five hundred dollars a week or have just delivering food. It's out there, folks. If you have to make an extra $50 a day, you can. What shifted for her mentally? She was so accustomed to always looking at the glass empty. Why? Because prior to any level of sobriety, their behaviors were glass empty. What does that mean? Instead of taking responsibility, they get drunk, you know, whatever. So she was trained, her mind was trained to look at what she doesn't have instead of looking what she did have, that little technique right there makes a huge difference. Did it heal anything emotionally? No, it didn't. Did it cause a sense of surrender? No, not really. Now again, I'm helping her with the God beliefs and I'm not telling her to go against her religion. I want her to go to church every Friday, Sunday, because she loves it. I love that she loves it. And all modern church folks hear me based on two things, monolithic God and love. The rest made up human interpretation. Let me give the quick example. I say this all the time, this whole Jesus concept, right? The Christian world basically says, do what Jesus said or you're burning in hell. Now how do I know that's just all human interpretation and a bunch of bs? How do I know? Well, because when Jesus was nailed to the board, I always say across, nailed naked, they start cutting him up. You know why they stabbed him? He already had crowns on his head. He wasn't dying fast enough and it was coming dinner time. So they start cutting his side. You see the scars on the side? That's a real life thing. I believe it. They start cutting his sides. But you know what Jesus says? If the belief system that God is punishing and do it Jesus's way, you're going to burn in hell. If that was true, then I'm sure Jesus in that moment, if that's what Jesus wanted, he'd say, hey, God, right here, the guy with the big spear, send him to hell first. And the one, the two or three with the little spears, send them to hell second and third. That's what he just said, right? If it would have been Jesus's belief system of hell. What Jesus say, God, Father, he said, father, please forgive them for they know not what they do. Father, please forgive them for they know not what they do. Now, I personally wouldn't have wanted to be one of the three or four people stabbing Jesus. I'm glad that wasn't part of my path. But if it was right, wouldn't they be the first ones? If that's truly what Jesus wanted, do it my way or burn in hell. Wouldn't they be the first ones on his list, right to hell? Yeah, they would be. But that isn't what Jesus wanted. So where did the whole belief system come from? Human interpretation period? Am I right or wrong? I don't care if I'm right or wrong, folks. I'm not telling you what to believe. I'm asking you to go inside yourself, yourself and create your own belief around all that Concept. As I was talking to my friend, she was really afraid that the 2,500 she had God was going to take away from her because of unconscious stuff she and her husband did in their 20s and 30s. Now, these are kind, loving, wonderful people. Did they do some stupid stuff? Of course they did. We all do. God's not going to punish. God gives you the strength and courage to walk forward from the emotional side of stuff. No wonder people are so lost. The emotional side of stuff, which is really being opened up rapidly as humanity's opening up, as the feminine side of ourselves is opening up, it is being accentuated rapidly. We're being asked to do things we never did. And we live in a culture, we live in a society, we live in the influences of the world. Saying, I don't give an F what you feel. Just put those away. Just forgive that nonsense. Quite honestly, it really makes me mad. It makes me mad because it's abusive. It's not true. It's not. Well, I'm not making any human right or wrong, you know, they probably won't be on my podcast anytime soon because it's just not true. Avoiding emotions, acting as if emotions aren't okay is literally carving out and suppressing at a minimum, 25% of yourself. If we're male, female in structure, if you will, the male side is your mental and physical. The female is your emotional and spiritual. If you're basically taught to avoid emotions, act as if they're not. You know, you're just too sensitive. Big boys don't cry. We were raised with that our whole life. Well, folks, that's changing. It has to change. Why? Because emotions are part of who you actually are. We are emotional beings. How do I know? Because we're created in God's image. How do I know? Jesus said so. First off, and the God's image concept, that's in every doctrine out there now, of course, on the Sunday mornings, they're not going to act that way. No, there's just one guy more special than everybody else. And know that God thinks, not in you, it's outside of you. I'm going to talk about that in a second.

But the truth of the matter is we're emotional beings, all emotions. The mad ones, the glad ones, the sad ones and the scared ones. And again, for those people that are embracing some emotions, they literally live in the delusional ridiculousness that says, well, if I'm one with God, if I believe in God, then all my emotions are going to be airy fairy, lovey dovey, and wonderful. That's just simply not true. It's not. God never says you're not supposed to be mad. If you weren't supposed to be mad, you wouldn't have been given the emotion, the God given emotion of anger. Just because you're mad doesn't mean you get to take your anger out on somebody. No, but it's okay to get your anger out in a safe place, in a sacred place. So we have an entire world of influencers out there talking about avoiding emotions. Now, I will say there are new people that talk about it a lot, at least the happy ones. I hear this one guy, I hope to get him on the show one time. I can't never remember his podcast. I'd promote it right now. But he talks about how he has people on and they talk about how women want this and women want that. Women, you know, want empathy and compassion. And the men are sitting there, oh, that's so great. You can look on their face and say, yeah, they have no idea how to do that. None. Here, let me give you a quick 30 second lesson on empathy, fellas. When your wife or girlfriend or female friend or mom or sister, whatever, they come to you with their emotions, you know what they want to hear from you? Nothing. Say zero. If you say zero, you're 80% more successful than whatever the hell was going to come out of your mouth. In the meantime, they're not coming to you to rescue, they're coming to you to feel heard. How does somebody feel loved? They feel heard. Well, if you're talking while they're talking, they're not feeling heard. So quick 30 second hack. Somebody comes to you with their emotions, say nothing. Simply listen. And as you listen, they're feeling heard. And when they feel heard, they feel loved. Say nothing. And then if you have to, say something, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. How can I help? How can I help? Now flip it, gals. If a man comes to you in anger or not at you, but expressing healthy anger and grief and all that, say nothing. And then when it's time, say, I'm sorry, I'm here for you. I'm here for you. Makes a man feel like someone's on his side, makes a man feel like someone can hear him. Like, makes a man feel like this person cares. He's not needing you to do it for him. He's needing to know that as he goes and battles his demons and goes out in the world and tries to provide and whatever that he can come home and someone's willing to sit on the freaking couch next to him. That's what a man needs. Now, I'm sure when I have Dr. Karan on here, who's a pro at all of this, she's going to have a lot of really cool additional exercises. And that's why I'm going to have someone like her on there. Been doing this stuff for 25 years. But I'm telling you, 30 second hack, somebody comes to you emotionally, say nothing, you're 80% of the way forward. Men say, I'm sorry, how can I help women? I'm sorry, I'm here for you 85% of the time conversation. You're going to come out of that one feeling much better. Now. The reason we feel so lost from an emotional position is that the more we grow spiritually and evolve and we become different people. The reason we're so lost is because the guidance system of choice in the past was so different. In the past, the way I would choose a woman was did she like to do the same mind altering substances as I did, Was I physically attracted to her? And was sex going to be fun? And if those things all came in together, we were made in heaven. A match made in heaven. Today, the one woman I was attracted to for the first time in 40 years, I was super disappointed, quite honestly, when I saw how beautiful she was. That might sound really stupid, but the problem is she didn't know me. She still doesn't know me. I've never met her, but what did I feel? She was spiritually connected to her heart. Spiritually connected to her heart. That's why I was so drawn to her. And how do I know that? Because when in her writing she talks about a grander tomorrow, that's her divinity. When she's speaking. The very first time I heard a podcast, she's talking and the podcast was asking her a couple questions. She's grieving the loss of her marriage. And she said, my only failure in my life has been my marriage. Now I thought later I said, I wonder if she was grieving because she failed or she grieving because she lost the marriage. I don't know. Someday, if I ever get to ask her, I will. The only other podcast I listened to the same woman on a couple years later, she's grieving because of her work environment, allowed one of her employees to have who was a mom, truly empower this young woman. So this woman I'm talking about had tears of gratitude, tears of grace, because this young woman graduating College now because of the environment she created for her mom. Powerful years ago, I was looking for something very different. I was drawn very different. So the you of today emotionally is very different. How you make decisions, how you interact, how you rescue or not, how you support or not keeping your side of the street clean, it's completely different. How we connect emotionally now is very different to the world. It's not your job's responsibility to cause you glory. It's your responsibility to take your glory to your job. Means living from overflow. How do we do that? The how to and living from your overflow. Numerous podcasts on that topic. But this, that's the journaling, the dual hand journaling. Listen to all the crazy voices and then ask your inner child what you love, what you don't. Dual hand journaling again, I will say get my book Filling the void joe mitiga.com it's free. Why? I have an entire section on that. And from that position, right, there's a huge sense of I am lost when it comes to creating relationships. When in pursuing of a job and what kind of friends I'm going to have and what kind of activities I'm going to do. You're lost because the mannerism, the mechanism, the style in which you're making those decisions are going to be more heartfelt. First, logic. Figure it out second. In the past it was all logic first. And for me it was all addiction satiation first. Hear me years ago, how did I make decisions? I made decisions based on addiction satiation first. Does this person do the same drugs as I do? Does this person drink the same way I do? Does this person like the same things I do? Am I going to feel better because that person's in my space? I love the Tom Cruise that one show. I don't remember what it's called, but the classic line where one of them says, you had me at hello and in the past. You fill my voids, I fill yours. And people called that love. Problem with that is that isn't love. That's codependence at its finest and it doesn't work anymore. Now, if it's working for you currently, great, keep doing it. If that's working for you, great, keep doing it. If everything in your world is fine, great. But for the rest of us who are lost when it comes to decision making and connection and relationships, the reason you're lost is because that whole feeling of you're being guided more by your heart, you're being guided more by your emotions. Now, the last part of this particular episode is. It's called finding purpose while inventing your world. Well, what does reinventing mean? Well, reinventing basically means coming out the other side of something and then kind of starting over. Not starting over from age or desire or income or whatever, but living a different you. And like my intro said, a lot of times the most challenging part of the entire experience is the you you're seeing is so different. Well, from a spiritual perspective, especially for the people that have been on a path for a longer time, the people that have literally have more money than month, they've launched their kids, everything's going great. You've had a successful career, you've had a successful business, and you're coming out the other side saying, now what? The reinventing of who you are, that's a real live structural shift in your world. The challenge is not what activity you do. That isn't really the challenge. The challenge is finding the different you who's going to guide you into doing different activities. And that different you, folks, is your higher self. It's your divinity. And quite honestly, that's why this whole neuroscience use your brain, change your consciousness and move in from victim to manifestation consciousness. That doesn't cause an iota of okayness. Why? Because that's just your humanity getting fancy when you're literally surrender. In other words, choose to be guided by a different you. That's why the we is so powerful. What is we? Human self, higher self, inner self. Joe calls it humanity, divinity, inner child. Those are my words. You put your words on it yourself. I don't care what you call your higher self. Don't care what you call your inner self. But from that position, right, as you truly learn how to be guided by that higher sense of yourself, everything changes. Literally. I've got a podcast on that. Moving from gratitude to grace. Gratitude is the internal experience of fullness you get when you put value out in the world. You receive back. You feel grateful for the receiving back. Wonderful. Fantastic. And it's not the end. All be all. There's tens of millions of people waking up saying, I'm 50. Now what? I've got the money, I've got the travel, I've got the family. Everything's great. Now what? Well, the now what is to reinvent yourself and pursuing passion and pursuing purpose. That's what I'm doing with the we podcast. Now, do you have to be the person that goes and does a global podcast? No, no, no. I don't know what your reinvention is going to look like, but I Do know that as you reinvent yourself, the reinventing, the redoing, the doing it different, the difference is in you. Which part of you guides you? And why is that hard? Because quite honestly, we're taught to accomplish, we have to do. Hear me? We're taught it's what humanity does. You go get a job, you go do a job, you get paid and you're grateful for the money. Yeah, great, wonderful. That's a different topic. We're taught we have to do. When you're living from your higher sense of self, you will learn the experience that when you really know, when you're in the experience of a higher sense of self, you will experience the allowance of something unfolding. That's why I say, when you're listening to your glass, full glass empty voices, glass, empty voices are going to have timeframes. Get it done by Tuesday. My job goals. Got to get it done by Friday. Now, there's been a hugely successful, monetarily popular concept around it. Nothing wrong when you're still pursuing your humanity, but when you're pursuing your divinity, there will be no time frames. Why? Divinity knows no time. How do I know? Because divinity is eternity. That's just like I say all the time. I wish my higher power would get a watch on its wrist. Why? Because my higher power wakes especially earlier every night. Three o' clock in the morning, 222222 in the morning. I don't even know what that stands for. I saw two 2:22am Every night for two months. I didn't even. I don't know what it means. But I'm telling you, your divinity knows no time frames. And that's why the allowance process is so different. It's uncomfortable, it feels completely wrong. That's why it's going to feel like you're doing something wrong. Literally, it's going to feel guilty because you feel like you're doing something wrong because you're not do do doing well. Because the doer is your humanity, the allower is your divinity. And your divinity will guide your humanity on what action steps to take in divinity's time. Sometimes it's quickly, sometimes it's slowly, sometimes it's not at all, sometimes it's tomorrow. I can't predict that for you folks. I don't know. Again, that's why I hope I can get this woman to be one of the contributors of We. She obviously is very wise with the topic of reinvention and keep visiting her site when she's up. What's it called? Divorce Post. Because it says right on the site, I'm going to help clarity versus conflict and help reinvent. I'm like, what the heck? I'm going to be one of her first subscribers. Why? Because I'm in the reinvention process constantly. Why? Because the divinity in me is wanting to communicate with the divinity in you. I reinvented the show We. I expanded the concept of the we podcast by adding in the voices of We. I didn't know that in the beginning. I just heard it. And we're expanding. And why is all that important? Right. Is because most people on a podcast like this are not in the darkest, deepest, most painful places. You're not. You're probably in a pretty good spot. You're probably in a pretty good place. You're probably in an okay spot. Confused, sure. Hearing things here you've never heard before. Yes. But, you know, that's why, quite honestly, I have such respect, respect for the large, massively successful, beautiful podcasts that are out there now. I just love these people because they've created audiences that literally, collectively move into the hundreds of millions. So most of you listening to the we podcast are probably frequent listeners of these other podcasts. And again, until I talk to them, I don't want to say names out loud. But you know who they are. You know who these amazing people are. They are amazing. And that process of moving a little deeper, shifting a little grander, going into the deepest parts of self, that's what the We Podcast is. And that's why, quite honestly, the We Podcast is number one on the how to charts now for over 60 days, the top 10 of education, almost 60 days. We've been in the top global top 200. We're in it today, on and off for 60 days. More on now than off. Why? Because the divinity in me is communicating to the divinity in you. And the story I'm going to tell, I'm just going to close it pretty quickly. Because I lived all these things. That's why I can talk about it so clearly and literally. In the beginning, when I first learned, I could have thought I went from all these ugly glass, empty to I could start changing my mind. Lost, completely lost. I would pull up to a stop sign and if my old voice would have me turn left, I didn't hear a new voice to turn right. I just used that as a mantra. If my old voice wants me to go left, go right. Completely lost, had no idea. Then, over time, I learned to follow my heart. And I've shared these stories. I could each one of these components of my life I could talk an hour about. But then I went from glass empty voices to glass full voices lost. Then I went from glass full voices to being guided by my emotions. Wow. Had no idea that even existed. Do something that feels good. Do something that feels right. Do something that feels wonderful. Now there's a lot of women by listening, thinking, yeah, Joe, what the hell? I've been doing that my whole life. I know you have gals, but for a lot of men. I will never forget the day I started feeling. I thought I had absolutely lost my mind. I always poke fun because my counselor says you did lose your mind, Joey, but you finally found your heart. And I'll tell you what, I followed my heart with a young woman. Now this is 30 plus years ago and it ran me right into a brick wall. I literally felt as though my own emotions betrayed me. My own heart betrayed me. And that's where I'm going to read a poem here that I wrote that's in Filling the void. It's called the Dark before the Dawn. Each step of this mysterious path leads us closer to the light of who we truly are. Even though at times we seem to be very much in the dark. Faith allows the strength and courage needed to continue deep into the depths of our own inner mystery. Dawn appears as we recognize and own each part of our self unconditionally. Dark before dawn is a true sense of aloneness needed to feel the sense of oneness we all share. Life and all of its mysteries are locked inside us. So close yet so far in walking into the dark, we truly experience all sides of life. Deep in the dark is the key to our true light. The experience. The dark before the dawn takes the courage of a wolf and all the attributes of spirit. Our soul must be empty before it can fill. Our life is confused before it can be clear. So we must accept the dark before the dawn so we can finally live as the light. When I wrote that poem, that poem came through me. I totally forgot about it, to be honest with you. Until recently as we're editing Filling the Void. That's one of the poems in Filling the Void. I'll never forget when that poem is came through me. You know, I've been betrayed, had been beat up. I had been just emotionally just crucified. But then when I thought I was doing it all right, when I was, you know, out of my head and into my heart and following my heart and I really thought I was doing it right and bam. Right into a brick wall that was probably the six months where dark doesn't describe it. I literally. That's where. If you read one of my titles, it's where Jesus quotes are, where Wayne Dyer quotes Jesus about four and a half years in. Why is that quote so important to me? Because I'm four and a half, five years into seven, right around this period of time where Wayne Dyer is writing a book called the Wisdom of Ages, and he chooses Jesus as one of the 60 people he's going to talk about. And Jesus talks about returning to the child. And I remember thinking in that moment, good enough for Wayne Dyer, inner child good enough for Jesus, inner child good enough for Joe. I'm probably four years into the dark of seven, right around this period of time right here. And in that position, it was just one of those spots to where did it make my day easier? No. Did it make me feel better? No. But it gave me a sense of safety. Saying that I'm not crazy, I'm on the right path, even though it hurt. I mean, it hurt really bad coming out the other side. Of course, you know, you hear my story. Listen to that one a lot, folks. Wayne Dyer quotes Jesus. It's my whole story. It shares later how I try to give this book away to my counselor and my mother. I never heard from my counselor again. She called me a thief. Nancy, the woman that helped me for seven years. I didn't talk to my mother for two years. She called me a liar. And what that forced me to do is move from my heart to my divinity, move from my feelings to my knowings. And folks, I'm going to have a lot of podcasts on that concept because the awakening that's happening, the reinventing that's happening, doesn't matter where you are on the path. If you're from completely unconscious to realizing for the first time you can hear your thoughts, that was quite honestly, one of the biggest moments of my life. Or if you're in the place where you're moving from your glass empty thoughts to more favorable thoughts, massive shift, very lost in between. The gap between those guidance systems is massive. But we have to walk that cavern. Ask for strength and courage. Then when you move from your head to your heart, does it feel right? Does it seem right? Am I feeling? Single largest gap in human experience is the gap between our head and our heart. All of these people that think positive, affirmations, work and heal, they're missing the reality that the voices aren't in your head. You hear them in your head, they're sourced in your heart. And I'm seeing it. I see podcast after podcast now of kind, loving, gentle things. And for most of you here, you're guided here by your divinity, which is not your heart. There isn't a gap between your heart and your divinity. There's eternity between your heart and divinity. Why? Because, folks, when you're guided by your heart, your humanity is still in control. Why? Because your heart is emotion. And where is your heart? Through your humanity. That a bad thing? No, it's a beautiful thing. But the expansion between being guided by your heart to being guided by your divinity, it's eternity. And that gap that lost, that experience, that feeling, that's a big one. That's a hard one. And that's why I'm going to have experts that are going to have support systems to help people reinvent themselves, because it's so important. Why? Because as more of us live from our divinity, that means more of us are living from pursuing grace instead of gratitude. Gratitude is when you receive back from the world. Grace is when you give back to the world, and the more people that give back to the world in grace. That's how we heal humanity. Heal humanity 1% one time. That's why the intention of the we podcast is to have 100 million downloads a month. Why? Because as we can build a we, a community, a global community, where all of you and everybody you know, because you're inviting people here to support this process as we build a global community called the We. What is the we? Human self, higher self, inner self. Each individual has an individual we. And though as we come together, then we create a community called we. And as we help each other, we support each other from living from that divine sense of yourself by living in a place of purpose and giving back. That's how the world heals. And understand this. Someone asked me this question the other day. I said, absolutely not. My purpose of creating the we podcast and 100 million and all that, is it any grander than somebody who has a genuine higher sense of purpose to create an awesome cookbook? No equal, period. Why? Because the divinity in that person who's guiding them to do a cookbook for their family and their friends, it's the same divinity in them. That's the divinity in me that talks to all of you through the we podcast. The divinity is the same how you're guided to live. Your divinity is different. And quite honestly, the more we do it, the more we'll do it. Adding the voices of we, my new voices, both Paul, Powerhouse, like he says. Joe, I'm willing to do anything. I'm willing to give back and be vulnerable. Shane Pope, his new app, Remy, look it up, find it. The way he's talking about is fantastic. Can hardly wait to have him on. Now, these are just two of millions. The other two women powerhouses you're going to see when you hear them. And why? Because as the world wakes up and we attract more people like this giving back, we can literally create a momentum of conscious awakening because that's what happened. And the more of us awake, the more people awake. When I did it 35, 40 years ago, there was no Internet, there was no email, there was no cell phones. It was me in a room. That's why it was seven years of darkness. Not like that anymore. So together we're making a difference. Together, we're waking up. Together, we're all learning how to pursue and give back from that sense of divinity. And together, or healing humanity, one smile at a time.
