Mykeah Simpson shares how her troubled youth lead to her SCI at the age of 18 in an automobile accident after a night of partying and not wearing a seat belt. Her faith as her foundation is her strong hold to recovery and her belief that she will walk again one day.

Pearl Burgin is an SDSU Psycology major who is raising a beautiful five year old daughter while facing the challenges of a progressive disabilty, Muscular Dystrophy. Her resilience shines through this interview as she encourages other moms to pursue their dreams despite any adversity associated with living with a disability.

Sherril Altstadt suffered her SCI at 19 and despite all the odds against her, she continued on through her first year of college while still in rehabilitation. Now 33 years post injury, she has a Masters in Sign Language, is an Educator, is happly married to the love of her life and is raising 2 beautiful children. Andrea Rivera born with a rare condition called arthocopisis shares what life was like growing up with a disability. She pushed past all barriers to achieve a masters degree, become a profesional wheelchair dancer, and is now starting to pursuing her dream to becoming a motivational speaker. She spoke for the first time at the Wheel Talk Wheel Issues, Each by Name, women with disabilities conference on the topic of faith as a foundation.
