Hello, smarty pants. Welcome to trusty Trivia Thursday. Today, we're putting history on ice as we talk about ice ages. Before we begin the trivia, a big shout out to Adrian in San Francisco, California. We hear you listen to who Smarted all day long. As my friend the Whoa girl would say, whoa. Thanks for smarting with us, smartypants. And now let's chill with some ice age facts. First question what causes an ice age? Is it A, volcanoes, B, changes in Earth's orbit, or C too many people eating popsicles? Did you say B, you are as cool as ice. Ice ages happen when tiny shifts in Earth's orbit and tilt make the planet colder. Next question. Which giant animal roamed during the ice age? Was it A, the T. Rex, B, the woolly mammoth, or C, the giant ice cream cone monster? Did you go with B? Mammoth job, smarty pants. Woolly mammoths were like today's elephants but covered in thick fur to survive the cold. Last question. How thick were ice age glaciers? Were they a 100ft, b, 1,000ft, or c over 2 miles? Did you choose C? Frostastic? Some glaciers were over two miles thick, so big that they changed the shape of continents. Way to break the ice, smartypants. Join us next week for more brain freezing fun. Oh, and if you want to learn more about the ice ages, check out our ice ages episode in the who Smarted archives. Keep on smarting. Keep on having fun.
