He started by telling me how he got into seeing horror in the theatre when he was way too young, what scares him in horror movies today, and how he got the opportunity to adapt Paranormal Activity to the stage. He told me why he chose to write an entirely new story for this stage adaptation instead of replicating one from the movies, the ways he’s recreated the tension from the films onstage, and what it was like creating the scares with illusionist Chris Fisher.
