here's your afternoon TNB Tech Minute for Tuesday, June 9th. I'm Julie Chang for the Wall Street Journal. A nascent tech rebound came to an abrupt Halt this afternoon. SpaceX expects to list its stock later this week, and analysts say the prospect of another trillion dollar plus company hitting the market may be causing investors to reposition at the expense of other major tech names. Some of the biggest decliners this afternoon include Coherent, which is down over 10%. Super microcomputer is down over 8%. Applovin and Qualcomm are both down about 7%. ServiceNow and Dell are down about 6%, while AMD is down about 5%. Anthropic is releasing Claude Fable 5 to the general public. It's a next generation Mythos class AI model. Anthropic previously deemed Mythos too dangerous for general release. The company is releasing the new model with safety guardrails related to areas such as cybersecurity and biological research. Claude Fable 5 will mostly let users query Mythos, but if users ask about bioweapons or exploiting a software bug, it will kick them back to the older version of the Claude chatbot. Finally, Broadcom, Apollo Global Management and Blackstone are partnering to launch an AI infrastructure platform. The platform will enable more than 20 gigawatts in compute capacity through 2028, using Broadcom's chips and networking solutions to support companies like Anthropic and OpenAI. Broadcom said the platform's initial $35 billion tranche will facilitate Anthropic's previously announced capacity expansion of over 1 GW of compute infrastructure. And that's it for your TMB tech minutes. We'll have another quick tech update in the morning.
