Morning TNB Tech Minute for Monday, August 11th. I'm Julie Chang for the Wall Street Journal. Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices will give the Trump administration a portion of their artificial intelligence chip sales to China, according to people familiar with the matter. The administration will receive 15% of sales revenue as part of a deal to approve improve exports of Nvidia's H20AI chip to China. Sources say the same agreement was reached with AMD for one of its chips. The agreement isn't typical, and it came after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang met with President Trump last Wednesday when Trump said tech companies that invest in the US Would be exempt from new chip tariffs. Meanwhile, Intel CEO Lipp Bhutan is set to visit the White House today after Trump called for his removal last week over his ties to Chinese businesses. That's according to people familiar with the matter. Tan is expected to have a wide ranging conversation with Trump with the intent of explaining his personal and professional background. Sources say Tan hopes to win Trump's approval by showing his commitment to the country and pledging the importance of keeping Intel's manufacturing capabilities as a national security issue. And shares of video sharing site Rumble climbed after the company reported its second quarter results and said it intends to make an all stock bid to buy AI cloud computing group Northern Data for about 1.17 billion doll billion. Rumble stock was up 18% in early morning trading through Friday's close. Its shares had lost nearly 40% of their value since the start of the year. That's your TNB Tech Minute.
