Here's your morning TNB Tech minute for Thursday, September 11th. I'm Julie Chang for the Wall Street Journal. Oracle shares edged higher in pre market trading today, extending its gains from yesterday when the cloud services company's stock closed 36 higher shares were up 1.4% in pre market. Oracle's CEO said the company had signed four multi billion dollar contracts with three different customers in the latest quarter. And we reported that OpenAI had signed a contract to purchase $300 billion in computing power over roughly five years. Plus Cox Automotive says initial estimates show sales of electric vehicles in the US hit a record last month at more than 146,000 sales. The automotive service business added that current sales trends suggest the third quarter will set a record for EV sales in the country. A senior analyst at Cox Automotive says the current surge is being driven by product innovation, motivated dealers and government supported EV tax credits set to expire at the end of this month. Finally, we exclusively report that tech specialist investor Vista Equity Partners is backing UK field service management software company JobLogic. Vista is betting that artificial intelligence will supercharge fieldwork and property management. Vista's more than roughly $135 million capital injection seeks to fuel JobLogic's growth as JobLogic boosts its AI offerings. JobLogic focuses on hard facilities management like plumbing or electrical maintenance, with an all in one management solution that handles everything from job scheduling to automatic invoicing. That's your TNB Tech Minute. Join us again this afternoon for more.
