This week we talk to Kels of the DFW [Dallas-Fort Worth] Support Committee [Bluesky/Instagram]. The Committee was established following the Trumpist anti-anti-fascist action in response to a noise demo outside an ICE detention facility in Texas:The case involves 22 people arrested for their alleged involvement in the events at and following a protest on July 4th 2025 in solidarity with Detainees at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, south of Fort Worth. The defendants face life-altering state and federal charges.We spoke to Kels about the (ongoing) case, the work of the Committee, and its implications for political activism in the US.(Since the episode aired last week most of the defendants have received sentences which practically amount to life sentences)
