Inflation up, military recruitment up, Iran/U.S. talks up in the air, and more

<p>The war in the Middle East is pushing up the price of pretty much everything here in Canada. The inflation rate rose to 2.4 per cent in March — largely driven by the price of oil. One of the biggest jumps — the cost of food.</p><p><br></p><p>And: Ottawa says the number of people who enrolled in the Canadian military surged in the last year. But the number of people who left the military also went up.</p><p><br></p><p>Also: Uncertain — that’s the status of peace negotiations between the U.S. and Iran. The American delegation is supposed to be in Pakistan on Tuesday for the talks.
