Heath
That was a trigger.
Zane
You're doing really good. You're better. You're above that. It's the past.
Heath
I've never used the word trigger more in my life than these past few weeks.
Zane
Really?
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
Anything that like reminds me of the or like whenever I'll finish a workout and then I'll top my top my the podcast I'll be like oh, it's.
Zane
Been so long now that I don't remember where I kept my cigarettes and lighter. I don't know if it was like front. Like I don't remember. Like I can't think back to being like pulling my cigarettes out of my pocket.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
I don't know if it was like a shirt.
Matt
Do you remember always just having to go buy a lighter like or even though it wouldn't. It wasn't that your lighter went out, it was just you would lose your.
Zane
Lighter or you'd get, what they call it bicked.
Matt
Do you remember that when someone would just.
Zane
Somebody steals it, they asked for it, they like go light their cigarette or whatever, and then they just put it in there.
Matt
When I was a smoker, I was guilty of that all the time because I thought it was my lighter, like, or it was just out of reflex.
Zane
Yeah, let me get the lighter back, dude.
Matt
Yeah. Sorry, guys. And then there would be bad luck for certain colors, right? Where it's like, oh, white, like arrested or the cops.
Zane
What was it? A white lighter. And being 27, because, like the Kurt Cobain curse, like all the famous celebrities that had the white lighter and died at 27 with it in their pocket.
Matt
Oh, I didn't know it was tied to that.
Zane
There's like. I think there's like five people or something. Like five celebrities that they found with.
Matt
A white lighter in their pocket at.
Zane
The age of 27.
Matt
Strange.
Heath
What is it called?
Zane
The 2027 curse or white lighter curse.
Matt
The 27 Club.
Heath
The 27 Club, yes.
Matt
And like, who. Wait, who's in it? Jimmy H. Hendrix. Jim Morrison, John Belushi.
Heath
Whitney Houston.
Matt
Whitney Houston was not 27.
Heath
Yes, she was.
Matt
She was not. She was well into like her late 40s.
Heath
Look it up.
Matt
She has kids, Zane.
Heath
Yeah, my mom had me when she was 24.
Matt
Janis Joplin. She actually went to Barney's Beanery right before she died.
Heath
She dated Barney Houston.
Matt
She dated Barney also. Janice Joplin was a longhorn.
Heath
How old was she then?
Matt
Janice Shopland? No, Whitney Houston. I would say she was maybe 47.
Heath
No way. She was younger. She. She looked young when she went 48.
Matt
Rip to Whitney Houston.
Heath
The.
Matt
I always love her. And like, Oprah, like, had like a really funny relationship. Like, have you ever seen, like, Whitney Houston, like, on Oprah? Oprah made music one time, like, during her career, and it wasn't that good. And Oprah was like, what is your favorite song? And she's like, Whitney Houston's like, oh, Imagine John Lennon, but I have another one. I think I want to run away. And Oprah's like, stop.
Zane
Is that Oprah's song?
Matt
Yeah. She's like, I think I wanna run.
Heath
I was just like, just playing with her. That's funny.
Matt
Yeah, it was like her boom.
Heath
Oh, her boom. Her one hit wonder.
Matt
Would you hit the studio again and do another track Maybe.
Heath
Maybe with like 20 xCX or something.
Zane
You know, let's do it together. Yeah, you and I song together.
Heath
Like, I want to take. I want to take it Seriously, though, so me too.
Zane
I'm in it.
Heath
I think I'd have to go with somebody, like, a little bit more, like, with taste.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
A club.
Heath
I. I want. I want a club hit. Like a dance. Like a dance. I want to dance my ass off to a song that I make. You know what I mean?
Matt
Just got to get the right producer behind it, you know, who just has like a beat and is like, this is fire.
Heath
Yeah. But it's also like, it's. So we all.
Matt
I.
Heath
We all think like that. Like, we all want to make music, but you just can't. You just.
Zane
Just get one that's done. Like, Boom was ready to go and you just had to put your vocals on it. Like, it's.
Heath
That is true. People have, like, libraries of songs that they just want to get rid of. Yeah.
Matt
Question about Boom. Was that something that, like, Bruce had in his back pocket? Was like, this is something. Do you want to work on?
Heath
I don't know if I was even allowed to say this. No, it was not for Katy Perry.
Matt
I thought it was for Katy Perry.
Heath
It was. It was actually trying to be sold to Megan Trainor.
Zane
Oh, that's who.
Heath
Yeah. So when he told me, I was like, I'll. I'll take it.
Matt
Do you think it ever came across Megan's desk?
Zane
I think so.
Heath
I don't know.
Zane
I think it did.
Matt
It did. So it came out.
Zane
Megan was like, good.
Matt
Well, yeah. Boom.
Heath
No, that was the thing. Is that the lyrical wise? I think that was. It was perfect for me.
Zane
It was.
Heath
Yeah, it was. It was meant for me. And I think the stars were aligned. Yeah. For that one. And it's doing really well. It has like, it was 7 million on Spotify or 6 million, I don't know. But, like, that's all. That's a big number. It's a lot for someone of my status.
Matt
How many monthly listeners do you have?
Heath
I think I have like, maybe 20,000 listen. But still, that's 20.
Matt
20 people who have that 20,000. Who's on ox?
Heath
Yeah. Like, that's crazy that, like, that many people. I think it's just being played through, like, radio station.
Zane
I just hope it gets picked up and put on like rap caviar.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
And it's just like in that mix and your streams go through the roof. Like, that's all it takes.
Heath
A song that, like songs that come out years ago, it goes viral.
Matt
Like in Japan, they put it in some anime. You're just like, you're going on tour and we're like, we Gotta hit this song.
Heath
Just one song.
Matt
Yeah, that could do it, man.
Heath
But it's different iterations of the song. Like, one's. Like, remix. One is a. One is edm, one is rap, one is. But it's the same lyrics, same song.
Matt
If you're on ox and someone goes, you're on ox, and it's like a pregame. Okay, what is your go to song that you're gonna play? Because it's a little anxiety inducing when you're handed OX unprepared and you're like, what's something that everyone.
Heath
I don't come up with it. I go, what are we listening to? I let the. I let the room ask.
Matt
I don't know if I'm gonna allow you with that answer.
Zane
The worst is when the service is bad. If you got bad cell service and you get put on aux, you can.
Matt
Only go with your downloaded ones.
Zane
Awful.
Heath
Okay, so what are you picking? Well, no. Pretend you have. No, you can pick whatever song you want.
Zane
Depends if people are drunk already. It depends who's in the car. But I like going for the ones that people don't typically think of. Right. I like hitting them with, like, ooh, I love the way you love the way.
Heath
The way you love that.
Matt
That's good.
Zane
Like, those that, like, they hit home. You're like, I haven't heard this in forever.
Heath
All the girls are gonna love it. And all the guys will love it. Will like it too. Yeah.
Zane
It's one that you sing along. It's just fun.
Matt
But there's nothing worse when you're on AUX and someone's like, who is on ox?
Heath
It's the worst.
Matt
Yeah, I'll get out right now.
Heath
It's embarrassing.
Matt
We don't have to listen to my music. No, I'm sorry.
Heath
Yeah, but, like, no, it's that. That would, like, ruin my night if I, like, try to play something that I really think, like, it would hit and someone says that.
Matt
If you're hosting, though. I don't know. Sometimes I get really excited if I'm hosting something. I'm on ox.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
It's my home. Don't come up into someone's home and be like, can I change this?
Zane
The only thing I don't like about doing the AUX at my house is that you're stuck and your phone is on, like, music duty. Oh, yes. Away too far. And then it starts crackling in the other room. People are like, yeah, come on.
Matt
Hey, you're.
Zane
You have to leave your phone, like, thereby. You're just like, yeah, Did I tell.
Heath
You about the time where, when I was helping. I was helping Kylie Jenner with like, some for TikTok. Who. Who is that?
Zane
Not familiar.
Heath
I'm sorry, who are you?
Matt
Mike shower.
Heath
I'm literally international superstar. I'm sorry, and you are?
Matt
Okay, so you're helping Kylie.
Heath
I'm helping her with. I'm helping her with the tick tocks. And her and. And Stas are like on the other side of the house and they're like getting ready for one of the tech talks we're about to film. And this was so crazy. I don't know what the I was thinking. It's so rude.
Matt
Like, is.
Heath
I just can't believe. I just thought this was okay. My first time there, my first time at our house and they're. They're in the other room and they're. They're like getting ready and the music is playing and I'm like. I decide I'm going to change the, like the. Change the music. Like, change the song from like a.
Matt
Sound system throughout our whole house.
Heath
It's a surround system where it goes throughout the entire house. Right. And so I'm like, bold, very bold again. I was like, what, like, looking back, like, what the were you thinking?
Zane
You needed to change it that bad?
Heath
I. I was just like, there. I. I changed went some rap. Some like, sort of rap music till 1975. So I change it to a 1975 song. I think it was one of their, like, new songs. I just like, what I kept listening to on repeat, play it. And then not five seconds later, I'm playing and I was just like, oh, my God, what did I just do? And I just hear a noise go. Who just changed the music?
Zane
Who said it?
Heath
Oh, that was me who changed the music. And I wanted to, like, call my Uber and leave immediately.
Matt
You know, I don't have.
Heath
You'll never see me again.
Matt
Sorry.
Heath
Yeah, it was.
Matt
You added boom. But like to the queue but like every other song.
Zane
What was. I just got like a flashback memory of something happening. What was the situation we were in where somebody was playing a song and was like, yo, turn this off. It's terrible. This music is so depressing.
Heath
Oh, he.
Matt
I know, I know.
Heath
We should say it.
Matt
I don't think we should say it.
Zane
It was the person sitting next to it. It was his music.
Matt
Yeah, the person who was hosting.
Zane
What was the situation? Don't say any names, but what was the situation?
Matt
Someone we know was hosting something and they were talking to an artist and it's there's music playing, and the person who's hosting is like, I'm so sorry. Who is playing this music? It's so depressing. And the person. The artist he was talking to goes, it's my new album.
Zane
That's what it was. Oh. I literally would.
Matt
I don't think I think about that often.
Heath
I think about it all the time. It.
Zane
That's.
Heath
But it's funny that the person that threw it, like, would never say anything. Like, it just came out of nowhere. Like, very out of character. And of course it was.
Zane
If it was my song, I wouldn't have said anything. I'd be like, yeah, that is pretty bad.
Heath
Yeah. No, but here's the thing, though. The person. The artist that it. Like that.
Matt
It was a little experimental.
Heath
No, it's not even that. I'm just saying the person that it was. You're. He's. They wouldn't have just sat there and just been like, that. That's my music. They.
Matt
They weren't. It's kind of weird, though, like, this. That person also feel like I didn't. They don't need the validation.
Heath
Like, they don't need the validation.
Matt
It's just why.
Heath
It's a really hard.
Matt
I'm gonna go play my own music. I guess, though, you're just trying to get, you know, influencers to listen. Get some. Shazam.
Heath
Oh, you know what? It didn't even hit me that this person probably put their own song on. But that's also a race.
Matt
They did put their own song.
Heath
Okay, so it's. So it's a risk.
Matt
Yes.
Heath
If you're going to put your own music on, it's a risk.
Matt
You have to be open to criticism.
Heath
Especially if it's music that no one's ever heard before. You know what I mean? This reminds me of another time where we were actually at Coachella and we were on a bus heading back to. Mind you, we're not on our way to Coachella. We are coming back. So everyone's going home. We are. Our energy is down to the shitter. Everyone's tired. It's quiet. And this person goes, I'm going to play my music. And I'm in my head, I'm like, that is risky. This is. This is a silent bus. Who's tired? And you're gonna play your own music.
Matt
Whatever. Hey, it's not. Can I just play one of my songs? Like, hey, guys, I'm gonna be playing just a song. It's like, we're gonna be playing.
Heath
This person made a small announcement to like, maybe the few people around, but, like, the whole bus did not hear this.
Zane
Us. We should put a podcast on our. Fine. I don't. I would.
Heath
I would never. I. I. Decapitation. I. This person started playing it, and this person's sitting next to me, right? And I'm also not gonna say who this person is, but I wish I could, because it's hilarious. Starts playing the music, and I'm sitting there, and it sounds like, okay, you know the. You know the artist Coco Rosie?
Zane
No, no.
Matt
Shout out to Coco Rosie. Like, what this is.
Heath
Coco Rosie's good.
Zane
Okay.
Matt
Oh, like, kind of. What's that girl's name who collapsed with Tyler, the creator. Very South American girl.
Zane
Very Singing in italics.
Matt
Drive around my car.
Heath
Yes. Incursive, cursive. It's very experimental. You have to be good to, like, a lounge singer. Kind of sucks, but even that, it's still, like, very experimental.
Zane
Okay.
Heath
To the side. It was. She tried to make that type of music, but it was.
Matt
Wasn't the vibe.
Heath
Oh, it was. It was terrible. It was just terrible. And this music was. Blair. I'm, like, sitting there like, oh, my God.
Zane
How long did it go on for?
Heath
Oh, went on for the rest of the ride. Oh, I went out for the rest of the ride. And that's what's tough. And I remember people's like, as. People are just like, oh.
Zane
Because.
Matt
And is it. Was the person playing it like. Yeah.
Heath
Oh, of course. Of course. If you have the balls to play your own music on a bus like that, you are.
Zane
So what'd you guys think?
Matt
You guys.
Zane
Did you like it?
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
Feedback.
Heath
I think it was specifically.
Zane
I could take. I could take criticism.
Matt
I felt. I felt.
Zane
What that say that they could take criticism.
Heath
I cannot take.
Zane
Not. Trust me. I could take. I could take criticism. If you didn't like it, be honest.
Matt
It was a bit.
Heath
What?
Zane
Oh, that's the style I was going for.
Matt
Yeah. Doubling down on it. Oh, well, you're not really getting the full picture of, like, what we were going.
Zane
I see why you wouldn't like it because you're like, taste is a little different.
Heath
But I. I genuinely get upset when people don't give me real credit. Like, when I know something's bad that I did, and they're like, it's really good. That pisses me off. I hate that. Just be honest. Be real with me.
Zane
That's a good test show.
Matt
Somebody's asking for it, though. I don't. I don't know.
Heath
I'm asking for honesty. There's certain Moments where. When. Especially when I'm working or I have a video, I want, like, genuine honesty, and people will just go, no, no, it's good. I was like, you're not being honest with me. Just, like, you got to nitpick it. Like, tell me what sucks. Like, you should.
Zane
What should something, like, show something that's terrible, worse, really bad, and just feel like your roommates are walking by. Like, what are you working on? Just be like, oh, is this a new video you want to see?
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
And then just, like, open it up to this fake video.
Heath
Remy made that, like, fake merch.
Zane
So good.
Heath
But we lied.
Matt
Oh, she made fake merch for you all to react to. To see.
Heath
Yeah. She was like, look at the. Look at our new merch. And we're like, oh, that's. That's cute. But it was also on camera, so that wasn't fair. It was off camera. I think we would have reacted a little different. Yeah, we were like, that's really cute. It was like in comic Sans font. We're like, this is interesting.
Matt
But it's nice, though, when you do have a friend, though, who is like, you know, you're in a safe place, and they're so tough, where they actually like criticism, like, in. Even if it's. Yeah. Or like, I had a friend recently. He, like, did his cabinets of color or something, and, like, I hated the color of the cabinets, and I guess he has money, so he, like, not offended. He goes, no, please tell me. What do you think? Yeah, this is just not the right color. You painted the. Your cab is wrong color. And then, like, some people were with, like, Matt. And he goes, no, I needed to hear this, like. And he goes, why? And like, I explained it. And he goes, that's a good point. A lot of people. It's good to have, but. But it's different moments for different people, all of that.
Heath
There's a. There's a. I think the only thing that you're. The only thing that you're allowed to lie about and don't be. If you don't like it, just hold it back. Are tattoos because they're permanent.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
You know they're permanent. You don't.
Zane
You don't need to say.
Matt
You don't need to say tattoo unless you birth them.
Heath
Unless you birth them. Yeah. Your parents, they're a lot of talking shit about your tattoo.
Zane
Even if somebody, like, the person that has the tattoo hates on them and says something, do not be like, yeah, you're right. It is really. Do not still stay silent.
Heath
Because you never know if they're testing you.
Zane
Yeah, just ignore it. Don't. Just do. Don't even think about it. Before we continue, we want to give a big thank you to our sponsor of this podcast, Skims.
Heath
Guys. When it comes to underwear, I am super, super picky on what I am wearing. When I found out Skims was making underwear for men, I knew I had to get it. I was so excited for it. And after I bought them, I've been wearing them every day since. For those who haven't heard yet, Skims now offers men's underwear. And I'm here to tell you it's worth the hype.
Zane
I couldn't agree more. I have these stretch boxer briefs and it's the. Oh, my under area is so much happier. It keeps it cool. It keeps everything breezy down there and they're just so comfortable and I feel like I'm not wearing anything. But I still get that support from a nice boxer brief that you need.
Heath
Exactly. I feel like at this point I've tried every boxer brief in the game, but nothing ever fits just right. I think we finally have a winner. Skims came out with their cotton 5 inch boxer brief. And it honestly puts other brands to shame. Baby, they hit right at the thigh and stay there. That's the key. They don't move around, they don't bag out, they don't give you that 5pm Wedgie. Baby, you know what I'm talking about. If you're a boxer brief guy like me, this is the one.
Zane
Absolutely. And if you're listening right now, you definitely have to try it. Make sure to shop skims men@skims.com and in skim stores.
Heath
Let them know we sent you after you placed your order. Select podcast in the survey and select our show in the dropdown menu that follows. Skims is the official underwear partner of the NBA, WNBA and USA Basketball.
Zane
Thank you so much, Skims, for sponsoring this podcast. We love you.
Heath
There's another thing that, like this, really. I hate this. There's a Mariah actually sent me a TikTok of a girl's girl that got a nose job and her before her. I mean, her nose is. It was really, really big where like I was actually surprised that she went that long with that nose like normally. Like, I feel like, especially as soon as you turn 18 with the nose like that, you're like, I want a nose job immediately. She got the nose job. She looked amazing, right? Great nose job. You could tell she was happy with it. She looks amazing. All the comments. You look so beautiful with your old nose. I ever hate, I hate when people like, you're a liar.
Matt
Oh yeah, you're alive.
Heath
Really? So why don't you get a nose job to get a bigger nose then? Yeah, why don't people get nose jobs to have people said that about my.
Matt
Ears when I. Yeah. Go. You know what I mean? Years. I'm like, they're not coming back and they're not yours. Just like, you don't need to say anything.
Zane
They're not.
Heath
It's just rude. I hate that. And that's with any like, any procedure. Like people are saying, like saying you need. You didn't need to get a hair trans. I was like, oh, really? You don't see people plucking their hairs out to be bald.
Zane
Pluck it back.
Heath
Yeah. Especially with the Internet. They receding hairline on men. That's the first thing they call out. You telling me, period, you didn't need that? You didn't need the hair transplant. You're beautiful without it.
Matt
Yeah, it's just. And they think that they're being nice by saying it. I'm like, no, it's not.
Heath
It's done you already. We already got it. Oh, oh, the intro. No, actually, let's keep going without this.
Matt
No intro.
Heath
No intro.
Matt
Okay, fine.
Zane
How about we put it at the end?
Heath
How about.
Zane
Thanks guys for watching.
Heath
How about you dance for us and we'll make that the intro. There you go.
Zane
It's baby.
Heath
Welcome back to Zenith. I'm saying I'm Heath.
Matt
I'm Matt.
Heath
I'm Mariah. And we are 42. Actually when this comes out, I'm 42 days of a free.
Matt
Good, good, free.
Heath
The mucus has stopped. I was getting a lot of mucus coming out for the past week and a half, two weeks. I didn't think that was ever going to go away. That went away good. I'm feeling like I'm able to breathe. And I actually got no strips so I can wear those to get even more oxygen down my, down my nostrils and like just, just I want my, I want my lungs to just really just.
Matt
Did you do.
Zane
Did you do the cool tick tock that are like magnetic in it? Like.
Heath
Yes. Yeah. I have the magnetic ones. The magnetic ones.
Zane
Do you like those better?
Heath
It's a lot to have that on there. You have the magnetic thing. You got the whole thing on top. That's a little too much.
Zane
Right?
Heath
But then the other ones. I hate sticky. When it's sticky all the way clogs.
Matt
You can get some, like, blackheads from it.
Heath
Exactly. So you kind of have to pick your poison on that one. So I've been doing the magnetic ones that pulls it really wide. I can breathe nicely. Mouth. I haven't done. No, I actually. I realized that I don't sleep with my mouth open.
Matt
Oh, good.
Heath
I actually don't. I'm good on that. I. I just need to open my nose up to get more oxygen in.
Zane
What are we supposed to do? It's supposed to be through the nose, out the mouth.
Heath
Yes.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
At night, I'm a mouth breather. During the day I'm really good.
Heath
That sounds so offensive.
Matt
I.
Zane
Mouth breather.
Heath
Mouth breather.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
It's from.
Matt
Look like one Stranger Things.
Heath
Oh, really? Mouth breather.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Because isn't that what, like, he teaches 11, like, they're stupid. They're mouth breathers. And so, like, 11 will like, the people, the bully. She's like, mouth breather. Doesn't she say that?
Heath
I don't. I don't remember that. Interesting.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
New season coming out for that.
Matt
Yes. But I don't think they've announced the official date, but. Wrap it up.
Heath
That's what I'm saying, baby.
Matt
Wrap it up.
Heath
We get it.
Matt
It's been going on way too long.
Heath
We want. I want to see deaths. All. I want to see deaths.
Matt
The whole cast, everyone.
Heath
I want to see a show where the entire cast dies in the last episode.
Matt
Yeah. Make it like Hamlet.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
Speaking of death, the Pope. I saw the Pope died.
Heath
I did. You know, I didn't even know what.
Matt
He looked like after it.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Pope Francis.
Heath
But did he just get elected?
Matt
Well, Pope Benedict. Oh, gosh. How many years ago was it? 2013. Because it was Pope. Because it was when we were born. It was Pope John Paul II. He passed away in around 2005.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
And then it became Pope Benedict. Pope Benedict, though, was the first Pope, I believe in like, 600 years to resign because he wasn't in, like, good mental health. So he was like, I have to pass this on. And then it became Pope Francis, 8 years old. And now. Because now it goes into the whole funeral and stuff and the whole morning. And I think that goes on for like, the next two weeks. And then it becomes the Conclave. Yeah, The Conclave is when basically all of the head cardinals from all across the world get together.
Zane
A survivor.
Heath
Yeah. I pretty. I. I watched the movie. I'm. They did a pretty good job. I feel like depicting what.
Matt
Because it's all of these men coming together and debating over the course of it could be four days. It could be hell, two years, but it never gets that long. But you kind of have an idea.
Heath
Of who they want it to be.
Matt
Sit there or debating in the eyes of God about who is going to be the most famous person in the world.
Heath
So insane.
Matt
Right after. It's cr. So I. I don't know. For me, it's, like, kind of exciting because it's like. It's like.
Heath
Would. That's. This is all, like, political. You would say, right? Like, who's gonna have the best? Like, yes.
Matt
Or like, because it. Because all of them are, like, getting up and giving their own speeches about, like, how the Church should be. And they have so much influence on how the Church is. The past Pope has been a really kind of fun Pope. Pope. Been pretty progressive compared to other popes in the past.
Heath
Okay.
Matt
It also could be, like a young pope. It could be a guy who's 30 years old and you are for the next 70 years of your life. It could also be a black Pope. It could also be. I think the Filipino Pope right now is, like, one of the higher up ones. They're like, keep an eye on him. But yeah, the goal, the global influence of that is. It's crazy. Of what can come out of it.
Heath
And so should we go to the. What's it. The reaping. What's the. What's it called when they elect a new. And everyone's outside waiting.
Matt
Well, it. Ha. There are people who are camping out all throughout the Conclave.
Heath
That's insane.
Matt
They vote four times a day. And what they do is with your Coachella mainstay, literally.
Heath
Can I get artist masters for this front row? I actually, this. I. This is genuinely something I think I would love to, like, experience and go to.
Matt
I know. Like.
Heath
Like, I would love to be out there.
Zane
It's so crazy. It happened on the year of the Jubilee, too.
Matt
Right.
Zane
It's just really crazy.
Heath
Jubilee has those videos.
Zane
That's right.
Matt
It's got to be like Big Brother, though, up in there with, like, all of them making alliances, who you're going to vote for, because you have to have two thirds of the vote, and they vote four times a day. And if they don't make the decision, they put all the ballots into that burner and they let everybody know outside the Vatican that they haven't made a decision.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
Until once they make the decision, they emit the white smoke.
Heath
It's just my vape.
Matt
But no, it's just. I don't know. It's just gonna be wild to see what goes down.
Heath
Yeah, I know I will definitely be tuning in to that.
Zane
This episode of Unfiltered is brought to you by booking.com booking. Yeah.
Heath
Every time we use booking.com to find a place to stay in the US I know they'll have exactly what we're looking for. They have a huge variety of options from hotels to vacation rentals. And we know we can find exactly what we're looking for. We found booking.com has something for literally everyone.
Zane
Zane and I actually found our hotel for Miami that we're staying at, and it has absolutely everything we were looking for. I personally wanted it to have a sauna. Zane was excited to have a gym, and we wanted to be right next to the ocean. And we found all of the above through booking.com and they made it so easy. And it's absolutely okay to be picky when you're trying to find the right and perfect hotel.
Heath
Exactly. Because Heath and I are super picky. Because no matter who you are, Booking.com helps you find the stay that's ridiculously right for you.
Zane
And make sure to find exactly what you're booking for on booking.com booking.
Matt
Yeah, there's one that's, like, from America. That's, like, a pretty high up in terms of, like, if they do an elect an American pope, which has never happened. I mean, Pope Francis was from Argentina, so he was from the Americas. But my dad has, like, a photo with him and has, like, met him, like, a handful.
Heath
Oh, really?
Matt
Yeah. I can't remember which one he is, but it'd be cool if it's that guy. But, I mean, got him before. Getting to, like, meet the pope, though, is, like, the biggest thing you can do as a Catholic. Yeah, I've seen him.
Heath
Has he ever done, like, a PR run where he's on, like, people's podcasts?
Matt
Well, to the Pope pod.
Heath
Yeah, The Pope pod is a good name for a podcast.
Matt
The Pope cast Pop.
Heath
Yep. The popcast. I don't know.
Matt
I don't know. It's just. It's going to be exciting. So make your bets.
Heath
All right.
Zane
You're not Catholic, though, right?
Matt
You're. I am catholic.
Zane
But you go to baptized Catholic, but you go to an Orthodox church.
Matt
Yeah. With Patricia, who's Greek. Greek Orthodox. Yes, But I'm. I'm. I'm not baptized Catholic. Am I an active practicing Catholic? No, like, but, like, so you're more Orthodox than Catholic. I'm observing right now. I would say, like, the Greek Orthodox, like, Faith, like, I partake. I don't take Communion. When I'm there, I can't take Communion and I can't do my. Like, they're, you know, they're crossing or whatever. But I don't know, like, I'm in a place right now to where I have been open to the idea of, like, converting to Greek Orthodox, mostly out of respect to my wife and, like, the tradition to her family. My dad did private Catholic school his entire life, and we went to Catholic Church a lot. I wouldn't say, like, growing up until I was about second grade. And then my grandparents, like, passed away. And then I think my dad was just. I wouldn't say, like, fell out of love with the Catholic Church, but he's on his own spiritual journey. That's my. The way I know faith in God and everything is through the Catholic Church. Greek Orthodoxy is very similar to it. They just don't. They don't recognize the Pope. They don't recognize the Pope. They believe all people are equal in the eyes of God. Catholics believe that the only person above all of the people that is closest to God is the Pope. Got it. So. But because of, like. But the beauty of it is just how historic, like, that religion is in its influence on art and history and everything. And, like, if anything, it's. For me, it's honoring the faith of my ancestors because we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the faith of our ancestors, especially if you're coming from a very old, old religion. So it's like, the reason why I would respect that is because of the ancestry that, like, my wife is tied to. If it was some New Age religion, I don't know, I don't think I would be, like, too into it. But that's just me and, like, your own relationship with faith. But I don't know. I mean, I'm familiar with the Bible. I've never read it fully. There's still so much, like, homework I need to do because I'm not going to be. I don't want to have imposter syndrome about my faith. So when I truly feel like it's hit me, I'll be open to it. But I myself, I struggle with it. Like, a lot of times, like, churches have their own, like, I don't know, rough sides to it. And it's like, am I willing to fully accept this for what it is? Or, I don't know. It's a whole journey. It's a whole journey.
Heath
Where do you. Where do you plan on having or have you and Patricia talked about where you would want your kids to go to like a private school or a public school?
Matt
All depends on where we're living. If it's a good. If it's a good public school, of course. Yeah, but if it's private school. Exactly. But I gotta see what type of private school it is. Yeah, I don't know.
Heath
Sometimes private schools are scary. They could be like worse than public.
Matt
I don't know if I want to send my kids to an all boys school or an all girls school.
Heath
That's not what private is though, right?
Zane
No, there's, there's a difference. Like there's private all boy or you could just have like a private.
Heath
Just in general. Yeah.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Also depends on what my kids interests are. If maybe that private school is like very good at like having a certain.
Zane
Passion or like certain sports.
Matt
Yeah, if he's a good lacrosse player. But the public school doesn't have lacrosse. It's like, okay, well then go to the private school.
Zane
My brother went to American Heritage for football.
Heath
They had like a good scholarship for.
Zane
Coach at that school saw my brother playing and was like, we want him to come to American Heritage.
Heath
And that's when they say that we'll pay for everything. Or is that you get a heavy discount on you.
Zane
You can get like scholarships, you can get certain things like that. It's, it just all depends on like the school.
Matt
And there's some private schools that are like schools where it's just kids who've gotten kicked out of every other school too. Yeah, there was always like a handful of those private schools that like where.
Heath
They couldn't get anything else. So they, it would be like maybe.
Matt
Some kids there were like good kids. But like it was like a school where it's like that's like a last resort, like, or it's usually just some rich kid who's been kicked out of every other school. This is the only school.
Heath
But there needs to be a private school where they, because they want to take the parents money because they're loaded, but they, the no other school wants the kid. Yeah, they just put him in this private school that.
Matt
I dated this girl in high school who went to a private school. I think it was Prince of Peace. In Prince of Peace outside of Dallas. And I went to go have lunch with her and I was having lunch with her and everyone there is in, you know, private school outfits. I was wearing like a hurley billabong jacket with like fur, with a fur hood. And I'm sitting there out of uniform, like having lunch with her. And I could tell some of the guys like did not like that I was just this public school kid coming in and like dating this girl. And I'll never forget the guy came, comes over, he goes, hey man, one second. Are you gay?
Zane
Oh, I think you told me about that.
Matt
Just. And in front of like the girl.
Heath
I've heard this story, but you cut all the store. The storyline behind that. We've heard this one before. I didn't know that you were dating a girl and you went to a school.
Zane
Gay.
Heath
That's funny.
Zane
Gay.
Heath
Are you gay?
Matt
Crushed. Crushed. What were you about to say? I'm sorry.
Heath
Just. I guess just your cheeks getting rosy.
Matt
As I still think about it.
Zane
I can't remember.
Matt
Yeah, I think monor. Schools are very interesting, like for early education.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
It's like preschool, kindergarten and you can even do like first, second grade. But like how it's more like at your own pace of learning. It's very like you go in and you kind of solve the problem of what. But rather than being instructed on what you're going to learn, you kind of chase your own like passion and pace of it. Sorry, I'm like doing bad job at describing, but it's that I think that sometimes is a little. Maybe cognitively beneficial for a young child because sometimes young kids, they are. Maybe they have a little ADD and it's hard for them to sit still and they just. They don't like what's being taught and so they just decide to tune it out.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
Rather if you make that learning experience more inviting for the kid, maybe they can.
Heath
That's what I needed.
Matt
But I wasn't a Montessori kid. Yeah.
Heath
Did you know, did you. Were you close with anybody that went to a private school?
Zane
I had friends in high school that went to Archbishop and were at like a private.
Heath
What was. What would be considered like something crazy that happened at like a private school that you just.
Zane
The only things I heard about like private school, like my brother went to private high school. Everything I just knew about it was they just had like drug problems.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
They were all their families, like families had money. So they were like stealing their. Their parents like drugs and stuff and we're like bringing it. It to school.
Heath
Like so the family, the parents would have drugs.
Matt
Yeah. They're popping ecstasy. Yes. They're doing like kids like we're like, we're sophomores in high school.
Zane
They were doing like crazy stuff.
Heath
But like in. During school or.
Matt
No, like just on the weekends. But they Were into hard drugs, But I don't know. Maybe at school.
Heath
I went to. I went to school high a couple times.
Zane
Did you?
Heath
Yeah. It was. It was the worst thing in the world in Spanish. Imagine being in Spanish and you, like, barely know Spanish and, like.
Zane
Saying it is another language. The only. The only thing I never did, like, school. Like, I never went drunk or anything. The only thing I would do with Austin was we would sit in a parking lot in his car, and we would just dip. We just, like, put it in.
Matt
Oh, sick.
Zane
And we just, like, sit there for, like, 10 minutes. I was like, just get that buzz.
Heath
Good, Good buzz before.
Zane
So stupid math class. So stupid.
Matt
So stupid Skull peach.
Zane
We'd be in there.
Matt
Oh, no way.
Zane
E. Dumb. Yeah.
Heath
I need to learn not to say Danielle told me the other day, and it makes sense. She was like, do not ever yuck someone's yum. Yep. I was like, that's a really good tip. Like.
Matt
Like hating on what someone loves just.
Heath
Never yuck someone's yum.
Zane
If somebody thinks something tastes really good.
Heath
And I go, yuck. So, like, if Brussels sprouts come out and I go yuck, it's like, yeah, you know, it's someone's yum. But it's really hard for me to get past that.
Zane
But that's disgusting. But how could you, like.
Heath
Yeah, I can't. I get it. I get it, though. And I need to learn. Learned to not do that, because I do that a lot. I love yucking people's yum.
Zane
I love it Yucky yuck food at all.
Heath
Yucking yum is my middle name.
Matt
Yeah. Or if they're, like, so passionate about something, and you're like, wow, you're really into.
Heath
No, no. Not when they're very passionate about something. I think that's different. But, like, just even just a temporary yum. Like, oh, I like this.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
I don't like that. Just shouting down.
Matt
Okay, okay. All right.
Zane
And there's no benefit. There's nothing you can gain from that.
Heath
Yeah. But, like, I've literally never heard it said like that. Like, don't ever yuck someone's yum. I love that. Like, I could see me telling my kids that, don't ever yuck someone's young.
Matt
Yeah. It's a beautiful little phrase.
Heath
I'm gonna get that tattooed on my ass. I just. It really stuck with me for the past two and a half days.
Zane

Matt
I saw crazy plane interaction. I wish it accelerated, but I was on a plane and we landed, and, you know, everyone's, like, kind of standing up, you know, you know, getting their stuff. I'm still sitting. Guy over me, he's still sitting. And I think he, like, has his laptop out just, like, on. In his lap. You know, he's put up the tray table. But, yeah, homeboy's working, and this lady, she's already been standing up, and she's just. Has been looking at this man and just giving him the meanest. I can already picture this stink eye. And I'm kind of sitting there just, like, watching her locked in, looking at this man, giving him the full stink eye and just, like, wanting to be acknowledged.
Heath
Yeah, yeah.
Matt
It's just, like, on his laptop, you know, in the zone. And she's trying to bait him to acknowledge.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
And so I'm just, like, staring, watching what this is going down. And finally the guy goes, yes. And she goes, I couldn't recline my seat the entire flight because you had some device on the back preventing me to recline the seat. And he goes, I had a device strapped to the back of the seat that prevented. She goes, yeah, you did. And he goes, do you want me to show you how to recline the seat? If there's a button right there, I can show you how to do it. She goes, I don't need to see anything. And he goes, but you think that I prevented you from reclining Your seat the entire time. She goes, you sure did. And he goes, conviction. He goes, okay, believe that then. But I didn't do it.
Heath
You saw all that.
Matt
Yes.
Heath
Like, that.
Zane
I almost pulled out, like, just to live for that.
Heath
Matt, that would have been a. Because it's just so subtle, that video. If you. If you just push that on tick tock. You would have been like, I love this.
Matt
The way this dude was, like, locked in where he was not letting this woman. He was not being rude, but he was definitely, like, bold enough to. Where he's like, oh, you want to accuse me of doing something that I didn't do? Sure. Think that. And oh, gosh. And even the girl who was sitting next to the one. The woman who was, like, getting mad.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
She was looking at me and we were both like, this is ridiculous.
Heath
It's. It's a pretty bold statement. A device to prevent me from reclining. Almost like he, like. Like rew. Like, wired it where it's like.
Zane
It's also one thing to. To think that, but it's another to say it to the person.
Heath
Right.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
Because also he would have had no idea that this lady thought that he was doing that to her.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
She didn't, like, accuse him. He had no idea that that was even going through her head for the last five hours.
Matt
She wanted to.
Heath
Like, that's so funny to me that, like, she. She's sitting there.
Zane
She is just itching to get.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
And, you know, she probably was not pushing hard enough because.
Zane
And, you know, you know, looking back the whole flight, she was probably like this.
Heath
You know, poor thing. She's so old.
Zane
You know, she didn't have to go to the bathroom, but she would stand up to just.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
Him down the aisle.
Matt
I wish he, like, got up and was like, all right, let's recline it. Like, sit back. Sit back. And boom.
Heath
Well, no, she would have been like, well, you took off the device.
Matt
I'm like, what device? I mean, he had his laptop out, but I'm like, where laptop was? Not the laptop. Move.
Zane
Where's the device?
Heath
If you were to have your table down and you have your laptop up and you're working off the table, do you have to push, like, harder?
Zane
No.
Heath
On the reclining seat. You don't. Oh, okay.
Matt
The whole tray. And there's no way that, like, the tray is attached to the back of the seat.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
So it moves with the seat. It doesn't like. And he wasn't like, I don't know, putting his laptop at an angle to prevent that from happening. Like. Like, I don't know. I think she just realized she couldn't recline the seat and then looks at. He had a laptop and was like, you were the reason. Because of. But it was weird. She called it a device when he just has a laptop. So he was like, what device are you talking about? Yeah, I. Ma'am. How.
Heath
How old was he?
Matt
I would say maybe early 40s, like, 42.
Zane
What about her?
Matt
I would say 63. 63.
Heath
And was she with anybody or by herself?
Matt
By herself. By herself. And it was just. But I wonder if I was that guy. And I was. I just admired his boldness. He was not being a dick, but he was just like, don't accuse me of something I didn't do. I. My people. She's on an airplane. It's like, I wanted to.
Heath
Cause I would have get. I would have. If I was in his. His position, and that's what I heard. I would have giggled. I'd have been like, no. What do you.
Matt
What do you mean?
Heath
Why would. Why would I have a device that, like, connects.
Zane
I don't know what my reaction would have been.
Matt
I would like, let's solve this together. Let's solve this together. So I'm gonna sit here and go, no.
Zane
Because it would just be like, I don't know where you're hiding it, but you had something during the flight. And then.
Heath
You know what I mean? Like, well, I've been like, you know what? You're right. Let me show you. And I'm gonna. I'll pull out my portable charger. It's like, all you got to do is get one of these. You plug it on the seat, and you will not be able to recline it.
Matt
And she's like, let me get one.
Zane
We had this lady at the coffee shop this morning. It just reminded me of a situation like that. She. I just don't. Some of these people. I really don't understand the need to say anything. Like, you don't need to even bring it up. She got served her coffee in a to go cup and her sandwich in a to go box. She grabs it from the guy. She starts walking to go back to her seat, sits down. She gets back up, walks back over to the guy. I was like, I really should have said that I wanted this for here, because I would have gotten the. He's like, the plate. And she's like, yeah. She's like. And then walked away. It's like, what do you want?
Matt
Like, could he have offered her, like, a Plate.
Heath
Just eat it for you.
Zane
No, but she. Like, it was a. I really should have said that I wanted it for here. And she. She. She was like. And the cup would have been in the glass.
Matt
I wish. That's passive. It's passive.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
Like, don't give me passive aggressiveness. You could go, I'm so sorry. I. I wanted this to go. Is there any way we can get the plate.
Zane
Can I pour this into a glass instead?
Matt
Yeah. Let's aim for a resolution here. It was just, like, this grievance to the world. Well, I wish I did that.
Zane
And he looked. Because it was.
Matt
No. Do I look like a genie?
Zane
It was slammed. Busy, too. And he's the only person working. Oh, so he was already, like, in a rush. Flustered, like. And he was just like. But it was just like.
Heath
Almost like. I cannot believe you just stopped my workflow for the.
Zane
Your coffee's in a paper cup today instead of glass.
Heath
It's okay.
Zane
It's just like, things are not as big of a deal as trying to make things like it is. Okay.
Heath
You know, like, just thinking about how many of those he gets a day makes me feel really bad.
Zane
Yes. He probably gets it all the time.
Heath
Or the. Oh, he. Sometimes I'll hear the surprise me. Surprise me.
Matt
Wait, who is saying that?
Heath
Surprise me to just anyone? I'll hear more at a bar. At a bar than a coffee shop. But like, I'm imagining at a coffee.
Zane
Shop surprising people saying that are. Are new to drinking and don't know what they want or how to order a drink yet.
Heath
Yeah, I'd be like, id?
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
I don't know. Surprise me. ID Right now.
Zane
Diet Coke. Surprise me. That's what you get. Surprise.
Matt
Water.
Zane
Surprise.
Heath
Or no, I'd get him the most expensive bottle.
Zane
You go to the top.
Heath
The top shelf. 150 shop.
Zane
Louie. Yeah.
Matt
How would that hold up in court?
Zane
Surprise.
Heath
Surprise.
Matt
Like, your honor. Well, surprise, Surprise.
Heath
Even served.
Matt
That'd be like a great Judge Judy case.
Heath
Yeah, a great Judge Judy case.
Matt
You want a. I can't even do it. Surprise. You're in court. Surprise. You got legal bills you have to pay.
Heath
You said surprise me, and now you're.
Matt
Here on my show. But I would be pissed if I said, surprise me, and they served me, like, a 300 bottle.
Heath
Well, then don't say, surprise me then.
Matt
Unless there are cocktail bars. Like, there's one in New York, I believe. What is it? The.
Heath
It's called the surprise. It's called surprise me Bar.
Matt
Christmas cocktail. And it's called the Holiday Bar. It's right down the Lower east side. That place, though, is, like, known where you go, what are you feeling like? Or they'll. They whip you up whatever the bartender kind of wants.
Zane
Or if it's between two options, right? Like, if. If they're like, we do sweet margaritas, and you're like, oh, what flavor do you have? And they're like, oh, we have peach and raspberry. Which one do you want? Like, between the two?
Matt
Yes.
Zane
Peach or raspberry?
Heath
Surprise. Yeah, that's fine.
Matt
You're out. Whatever.
Zane
Out of the two?
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
Usually it would be like, whichever flavor you like better.
Heath
Exactly.
Zane
But it's just like, what would you like to drink tonight? Surprise me.
Heath
You know what's acceptable if you just turned 21? You're like, I just turned 21. Surprise me. Me. I'd be like, you know what? That's okay. She just turned 21.
Zane
Louie.
Matt
The 14th or 13th. Just like, enjoy, enjoy. You have no money to spend for those. That birthday fund, gone.
Heath
I would. I would. I would look at the purse. Like, if, like, Remy pulled up to the bar and she surprised me. I saw that Birkin.
Zane
I'm like.
Matt
You know what I always hate? I feel terrible about is when, you know, you're like, a nice restaurant. They're, like, running through your specials and stuff. You're kind of eyeballing a few things, and you. And you go, what do you like? And they go, I personally love this. It's my favorite thing. And you go, I'm gonna do the burger now. I'm not gonna get that. Now that you described it, like, what.
Heath
Was the point of that?
Matt
I feel. I feel. But it really doesn't hurt their feelings. I feel terrible. My people, please. Inside. I'm just like, so good. Oh, I love that you love that. That. But I'm gonna go with the thing that you don't like.
Zane
Oh, that does sound really good. I'll do the cheese thing.
Matt
I'm gonna try that one next time, I promise.
Heath
Yes.
Zane
Yeah, don't forget.
Matt
Don't forget.
Heath
I. I do love when servers are, like, very honest about their food. If something like.
Zane
Yes.
Heath
Like, hey, how is this one? They're like, that one's not good. Do not get that. Like, when they're, like, very honest like that, I'm like, first off, that's. That's a huge risk that you're just saying that. Because I could be anybody. Imagine I was like the owner's son. I just decided to stop by being a little. Just like. But then again, you're like a p. If you're going to go to, like a server, I think they can phrase things a little differently.
Matt
Just go. I personally am not a fan and I don't think. Yeah, it's not ordered very often. It's kind of one of our B sides that we have here at the. It's not a chef's favorite.
Zane
I personally don't do fish, so I'm not the person to ask. But if you like that, you would love it.
Matt
Yes, absolutely.
Zane
My favorite thing, though is like, are there ever any people who are just brutally honest? We're like, you know, the waiter or waitress always comes over like, like, how we doing? Like, how we like. And everything is good. Actually.
Heath
No, no, it's actually not good.
Zane
It's not.
Heath
It's all right. It's all right. I. But we're gonna eat it.
Zane
I don't think.
Matt
I could never.
Zane
I could actually. Pretty mid.
Matt
The only thing, though, I genuinely do think, though, if you are at a nice restaurant and you do order a cocktail and you genuinely do not like it, after that one sip, you can take it back, no problem. Because that is nothing like on them to, like, just make another cocktail.
Heath
There's actually a difference between, like a. A cocktail you don't like and a cocktail that, like, does not taste right.
Zane
Right.
Heath
If it didn't taste right, I'd be like, you know, I'm gonna save their service next table in case they order us and be like, hey, this does not taste right at all. But if it was something I didn't like, I would just keep it, like.
Matt
The way they do a cocktail. And you're like, this is actually not what I wanted at all. Yeah, it's genuinely. But don't keep drinking it. But just say, like, I'm so sorry, this is not. Most of the time they're like, no problem. Yeah, yeah, we'll get you another one. Because it's like, they're so tough to, like, have a big ass tomahawk steak and be like, this just isn't cigarette. And they're like, that's $250. And someone spent all their time working.
Heath
On it back there. Like, tell. I. I keep forgetting this story when we were at Bourbon Steak and I was like, oh, I like this thing. I'll do. Oh, what was it like, I'll do 12 ounces. But I didn't know that each ounce comes.
Zane
It was a. It was a wagyu steak that the cow had only eaten olives its entire life. Okay, so it's like the most tender, just olivey tasting, like insanely.
Heath
Like this cow was. Like this was tended to like to be. This cow was taking care of its entire life.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
Did you know that they massaged the wagyu cows? Like that's the thing. Somebody's out there giving them like full body massages.
Heath
Between me, I think they're. I think they're being weird. You think that they're doing that for their steak? I think they're a beastiality type people.
Zane
You like that?
Heath
I think you're freaks.
Zane
Dave Chappelle skit was really funny. It was exactly like that. Anyways, so we ordered. So it's really, really expensive. I think it's like 150 an ounce. Like something absurd.
Matt
Oh, no.
Zane
But I didn't know they didn't know that it was per ounce. So the guy's like, all right, great. You want to try it? Cool. And how many ounces do we want, want? And he's like, oh, 12. He's like, I'm trying to get my protein in. Let's do 12. I was like, I'm across the top. He's like, he's like, I'm hungry. I want. I was like, zane, it's per ounce. He's like, what about it? I want 12. I'm like 150 per ounce. I was like, you're about to order.
Matt
Like 3,000 after that. Yeah.
Heath
You imagine that coming out Crazy.
Matt
It did happen to me one time though. Over yu steak. I was at like a high end Korean barbecue place.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
I feel like I've said the story years ago and it was like, you know, we go into Korean barbecue place to go. Do you want to do. Okay, we're doing a group thing. Do you want the A1, do you want the B1 or do you want the A and B? Like, you know, there's like the big courses for the packages, platter kind of.
Zane
Thing, the different meats that you can get for the package.
Matt
We said A and maybe there was like a slight modification of something from the B and the girl put it in as A and B. In the A and B package deal was twelve hundred dollars. And we were supposed to just go in for like a 500 meal for like a double date. It was nice. And. And I remember eating as the food was coming out. I was like, wow, we are eating good tonight. This white dude is coming out. And then we got the bill and it was twelve hundred dollars. And I instantly was like, you got.
Zane
You gotta play it off. Like you knew it was the price.
Heath
Yeah, right. I'd be in the bag washing dishes.
Matt
My people pleasing side was like, like, damn, we made a big mistake, but let's just pay it and just accept it. We move on. The. One of the girls in the group was like, no, I'm saying something. And she like ended up having to explain getting the manager. And it wasn't. The thing is, it's like, this is not what we agreed on. And you just fooled us into paying like 600 more dollars. You have to be so clear on which thing we ordered because it was a big miscommunication thing. The waitress heard something that wasn't.
Heath
Especially when it comes to those. Like that section of the menu. I think the waiter has to be extra. Like. Ask again to be sure.
Matt
Yes.
Heath
A and B. Like, you have to make it clear.
Matt
Yeah, she didn't do. And I could not handle the conversation like that much. And it was not heated. It was just. It's the confrontation. You just.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
And I had to get up and use the bathroom. I couldn't handle it.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
But we managed to get.
Zane
Did you not notice the whole time that you were getting stuff from the B package as well, or. It was just kind of like.
Matt
I was just like. It kept coming out, like the platters kept coming out. And I was like full. And I go, go, this is a lot.
Heath
We're gonna take some home.
Matt
And then right when it came, we were like. But they knocked, I think like 250 off of it. So it was like 25 off. And we were still like. And. But we were still like. I just got. Because we were eating the finest meats and just being like, I paid for what? You know what I mean?
Zane
Oh, I didn't want it.
Matt
The meat's gone.
Heath
Well, man, you know, next time just order A and B and then do the same thing. We only ordered a 750. Thank you.
Zane
That's really funny. Mariah and I just went on a really cute little dinner date the other night.
Matt
Oh, nice. Oh, that was so cute.
Zane
Experience. It was awesome. We went to La Dolce Vita. It's in Beverly Hills. It's a really, really, really nice Italian restaurant. If you guys haven't been. Food was unbelievable. But they're doing like a partnership with Cadillac where there's the new Escalades, the electric Escalades parked all out front of the restaurant. And you can book your reservation to eat it in the Cadillac. It was such a fun little experience.
Heath
No, they don't cook it in the car. Oh, you told. Just like that.
Zane
It was so cute.
Matt
Oh, that's.
Heath
It looked really good. It looked really, really good. Yeah, I was jealous. I know.
Matt
That didn't looked really good, too.
Heath
Yeah, it just looked better in a car, too. It looked tastier in a car.
Zane
No, Zay. Like, the. Like, the whole back seat had, like, the massaging chair. So we were like massage chairs with, like.
Heath
Were there TV seats?
Zane
There was.
Matt
Wow. Wow.
Zane
It was just like a. It was. I've never seen an experience like that, but, yeah, it's. It's going to book it.
Heath
It's like a really smart, like, good idea.
Matt
Like, we use just a couple.
Zane
We did, like, hibachi a couple of times.
Heath
What just smells like food.
Matt
It smells good. Like, really. Is this the Dolce Vita? Like, I. I'm getting a hint of some steak. It's a great car.
Heath
That's a. That's a nice Cadillac.
Matt
Was a guy in there with you? Like, so how.
Zane
He's in the. He's in the third row.
Matt
How was it? It's good. All right. I can ac.
Heath
I'm guessing they come, like, right out of the restaurant, right? Yeah.
Zane
They bring it from the restaurant, open up the door, and then they serve you through the, like, the door, and they close it. They just kept coming back to, like, you're just eating.
Heath
You get hit from the boom.
Matt
That fork by flaming on just like, a stain. Wine stains. Just like.
Heath
To test our new airbag system. It's like this thing that they don't tell the. They don't tell the influencers, but they really want to do, like, they want them filming to test the airbags, but they don't tell them they're about to get hit in the back while eating.
Zane
No. One of the people working there, like, hopped in the front seat as we were eating, though. And I didn't know he was one of the workers, and I thought it was a stranger that was getting. We sat up in the seat. We're like, oh, okay, he works. It was really. We thought we were about to get, like, kidnapped and taken.
Heath
Keith was there. Like, was there security, or did it feel safe? Safe?
Zane
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Heath
Because I was. I was thinking about, like, all the, like, car robbings are happening.
Zane
That's what I. That's what I thought. Like, I. Somebody, like, they aggress. They came quickly into the front seat of the car, like, when we weren't expecting it either.
Matt
Get out. Like, get out. Yes, sir. Just like, I.
Zane
Take that light out with you.
Matt
Yeah, Leave it. Leave the wine.
Zane
Leave the ganola.
Matt
Yeah, leave that. No, no, that looks good. Is that Mac and cheese? All right. Right, okay.
Zane
Yeah, it was really cute. You guys would like it.
Heath
Oh, Weekend two happen. Was there anything that I feel like I wasn't really paying attention to weekend, too.
Zane
I didn't know anything about any surprise performers, surprise guests.
Matt
I know that, like, Megan Thee stallion, like, picked right back up to where she was, like, cut off. I saw that.
Heath
What do you mean?
Matt
Like, they cut her set time?
Heath
What do you mean?
Matt
Like, I don't know, because, you know, there's, like, a cutoff time of where your set is supposed to end.
Heath
Okay.
Matt
I think she was kind of, like, still not in the middle of her set, but, like, in the thick of it, and they cut her, like, cut mics, everything. So when she started, she's like, I started five minutes early, and we're picking right back up where we left Weekend one and then, like, hopped right into it. So that was, like, badass. I don't know how the rest of.
Heath
The show was, but interesting. Okay.
Matt
I think a lot of Meg fans were like, that's so awesome.
Zane
Dave Grohl got brought out also.
Matt
I was so wrong. Last episode, I said. Said the Gogos brought out Billy Joel. It was Billy Joe from Green Day. I got that wrong.
Heath
Was the LA Philharmonica not at weekend one?
Matt
They were there. Weekend one.
Heath
They were. Okay. Okay.
Zane
Who did Zed bring out that you were like, this is the greatest guest. Surprise. Whatever.
Heath
Oh, he was just, like, an Indian singer.
Zane
Oh, yeah.
Heath
I just thought. I just thought it was. I just thought it was so cool.
Zane
Oh, he's like, a big Indian singer.
Heath
I don't know if he's a big Indian singer. I. It was just. Just an Indian singer. I don't. I don't personally don't know who that was.
Matt
Oh.
Zane
Oh, I thought it was, but I.
Heath
Just thought it was. I just thought it was, like, sick.
Zane
I thought you knew the artist. I was like, oh, I'd never seen it before, so, no.
Heath
No, I didn't know the artist. I just thought it was, like, sick that they brought out, like. Like a. Yeah. Traditional Indian singer out on stage. Yeah, it's. You just don't see that a lot. Yeah, people thought I was, like, making fun. I was like, no, that's, like, really awesome.
Zane
No, it's maybe.
Heath
Did y'all forget my favorite Indian movies? Kabakushi, Guppy Gum. Like, come on now. Period. I. I love seeing that. Him like, that.
Matt
India makes more movies than, like, America does, right? Yeah.
Heath
They release a movie every day.
Matt
Did you Ever see Triple R? We started the beginning of.
Heath
Yeah, Triple R or it's rr. Yeah.
Matt
That movie. It's on Netflix, guys.
Heath
Crazy.
Matt
It is in dude saying the level. It's a Bollywood film.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
You think you know what, like, a movie can be. That movie is like, how did they film this?
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
And even the actors, the. This singing, the dancing is like, they're putting.
Heath
They're punching it like, like that out all the time out there.
Matt
Scene where they're like, best friends and they're just like.
Zane
It's crazy. We didn't see. I might be pronouncing it wrong. Hanuman kind at Coachella. I'm so surprised. The big Steppa.
Heath
I don't. I. Sorry. Yeah. I don't.
Zane
He was at Coachella. He just performed there and we didn't see him.
Heath
What. What is he.
Zane
Oh, big stepper.
Heath
Is he.
Zane
Is he underground?
Heath
Oh, yes. Okay. I'm sorry. Yeah. That's all I know. That's all I, I know is that music video.
Matt
The music video for the people listening. It's like, you know when you have.
Heath
Like, a circus, Like a circus are going on.
Matt
But this is the one in India where it's like they have the cars going around.
Zane
It's like the most viral song and video in the last, like, six months, year.
Matt
That is crazy that they do that.
Zane
Such a sick video.
Heath
When did we. How many views it had when we saw it?
Zane
I don't remember.
Heath
It had, like. Didn't it have, like 30, 000 views? It was insane. And it was out for like, like, for like, what, a week?
Zane
But yeah, he performed at Coachella. Would have been sick to, like, hear this song.
Heath
It would have been sick for them to have that on stage. They could have easily.
Zane
You know this is real, right?
Matt
Yeah, yeah.
Zane
Like, they're actually driving the motorcycle and.
Heath
I've seen, like, videos, and it's like wood.
Matt
The walls are, like, made out of wood. You're like.
Heath
Yeah, you would think it doesn't look very.
Matt
Like, it would just crash.
Heath
I know. Like, with. Look, look all the holes in it, too. Like, you could see right through.
Matt
It could not be me.
Heath
Yeah. But I would love to ride in it, though, with the amount of times they've been doing that for everybody. I, I, I just a couple, just a couple rounds.
Zane
When was the last time saw the, the motorcycles in the cage ball?
Matt
Honestly, I don't think I, I remember. They used to do it at Barnam and Bailey's Circus.
Heath
They did it. They did. I've seen it. Like, I Feel like more recent. Like, maybe in the past four years.
Zane
I think the last time I saw it and I. I don't know if it was this. It was Jordan. Did they used to do it for the. The Santa's Enchanted Forest?
Heath
They did Enchanted Forest.
Zane
I remember screams.
Matt
I don't know Christmas.
Heath
Have you ever been to a Santa's Enchanted Forest?
Zane
They would do that. And then they would also do the one where they are on, like, that cylinder pole thing that spins around and they run as it's going up. Oh.
Matt
Like the acrobat kind of people like, c. Kind of.
Zane
They're like, ye. So they did that with the motorcycles in the ring where they're.
Heath
Oh, my God.
Matt
It takes a certain type of personality to do that. Like, those guys when they're in that, like, chamber, just zipping around each other. I mean, you got my back, I got your back.
Heath
It's crazy how timing is everything.
Matt
You have to be like, trust fall. What are they doing to warm up? Yeah, like hell. Oh.
Heath
And I've seen, like, multiple crash on, like, on my, like, feed of, like, motorcycles. They're doing great and then just one wrong boom.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
But they're probably used to it. They're used to crashing into each other. They know exactly, like, how to clench up.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
As soon as that happens, like Cirque.
Matt
Du Soleil, people like them just doing, like, flips all night. Yeah, flipped on, doing flips and then landing on the shoulders of, like, a whole, like, ladder of humans on top of.
Heath
And, like, knowing that there just can't be a net because it just won't look good.
Matt
And they've just practiced it so many times.
Heath
No net allowed.
Zane
Did they ever come out with that motorcycle that doesn't fall?
Matt
Fall.
Zane
It's like, got a gyro on it.
Heath
No, you said motorcycle that doesn't fall.
Zane
Yeah. You know how, like a segue, you.
Matt
Gotta have a kickstand?
Zane
Like the auto balancing type thing.
Heath
Oh, no, I haven't heard.
Zane
I. I remember, like, it's gotta be like, 15 years ago. I remember seeing videos of, like, the motorcycle that would, like, stand up straight without, like, a kickstand. You could, like, push it and it.
Matt
Would, like, just kind of balance itself out.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Whoa.
Zane
That had, like, some sort of gyroscope in it. It.
Heath
Oh, boy.
Matt
It canceled Fire Festival, too.
Heath
Oh, man. I was actually really excited about that one. I really wanted to see them. I mean, yeah, we're not surprised, but, like, I really wanted to see genuinely.
Matt
I am surprised that it got, like.
Heath
Canceled, like, because it's just embarrassing now. Like they can never come back.
Matt
You spent all that time in the damn jail cell.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
You're envisioning. You know what? I'm gonna come back and I'm gonna double down and try to throw a better one.
Heath
Exactly.
Matt
How do you not make the calls and hire the ball people to get it? And you did it again.
Heath
And you did it on her birthday.
Matt
It's like. It's ridiculous.
Heath
What do you think the campaign would have been this time if it. If it went through? If like.
Matt
Like how? Well it would have.
Heath
No, just remember the campaign. The first one was everybody posted to Orange Square. Remember that? I thought that was crazy.
Matt
Like the. The social. Pre. Social media promo.
Heath
Yeah, like, because the campaign is going to be everything. You're promoting Fyre Festival too, right?
Matt
If we got invited, I totally would be down to go 100. Even if it was like kind of shitty. I don't care and talk about it.
Heath
I don't care if I'm sleeping on the ground. Nobody.
Matt
I'd be vlogging all of it just going oh my God.
Heath
To be there for it. It's boom.
Matt
Into like the headquarters office going, everything is a disaster. Y'all better be getting it together.
Heath
Oh God, that sounds so fun. Like to me that's fun.
Matt
Oh my gosh. Exactly. But for the people who spend their hard earned cash on it. You don't. Yeah, no, I.
Heath
No, I know that only if.
Matt
But having a.
Heath
It's just knowing what went down. It's like being a part of something.
Matt
So. Yeah. Did all the investors get their money back? Does Billy go back to jail? What's going on?
Heath
Oh yeah, the investors fire fest too.
Matt
But it's not happening.
Heath
Yeah. Though the influencers they would hire for that would be like two turn. Tony qcp.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
Honestly us, I think we'd be a great. A great invite for this.
Zane
Speaking of fire though, did you see New Jersey right now?
Matt
No. What is that?
Heath
There's a fire there.
Zane
It's right now really, really bad.
Heath
Oh my God.
Matt
Is it get a natural forest or what's happening?
Zane
The last I checked was what this morning, Bubba. It was over 1200012000 acres already. It was like over affecting residential this earlier this morning. It was 12, 500 I think.
Matt
Holy cow.
Heath
Oh, watch duty doesn't go to climate.
Zane
No, it does. What's crazy?
Heath
Look, it's. It shows blank like it shows inactive. Like it doesn't.
Zane
When we were just over there in New Jersey, it had watch duty app billboards.
Heath
Oh Maybe. Maybe they don't. You have to be there. Maybe. Maybe it's like, location based.
Zane
Yeah, but it's. It's crazy right now.
Matt
Has the climate been, like, bad out there too? Like, has it been like.
Heath
It's not out there.
Matt
I know. It's just New Jersey. You never hear about, like, happening on that side of the country.
Zane
