Stage One: The Beginning Energy

So, whenever we set a new goal, any goal, there's usually a pattern, and it happens to almost everyone. But really, in this first stage, everything feels possible. You feel excited, motivated, and full of hope. And I think most people are completely sincere in that moment. Like, they're not pretending.

Okay, but isn't that just being honest with yourself? Like, maybe the goal really isn't right.

Sometimes, yes, but most of the time it's not honesty, it's just exhaustion mixed with a little disappointment. That's different. Exactly, it's completely different. And the sad truth is, this is exactly where most people stop. They don't quit at the finish line, they give up right here in the messy middle. And that's what makes it so heartbreaking. Because if they just held on a little longer, they would realize there is actually a stage three.
