This is an autonomous robot. It operates essentially on its own. It's on a program. Well, it's extremely useful because it frees up our officers to concentrate on, you know, other important community policing matters. It is a live monitoring system, so we are able to monitor the cameras live at the communications center. These are the four cameras that are positioned within the unit and it's always recording. So, everywhere it goes, it's capturing all of that data. It also has a license plate reader feature which operates by this device right here. It's able to read license plates of vehicles in parking lots and it actually captures that data. It also has a distress button which is located here. So, somebody were to need assistance or they want to contact our communication center, they can do it by way of that distress button. And there's people that are monitoring on the other end. So, the system also has the ability for a dispatcher or a monitor to get into the software and actually project communication through the robot to the person that has pressed the distress button. If something wrong happens, the police can see it from the robot. And then the police can come and figure out what's happening to us. We saw the autonomous robot in one of the conferences and we decided it might be something that could work for the parks as we've been having some concerns about safety. This park is the largest park in the city and it's highly used by the community, especially now during the summer. So, we wanted an extra set of eyes that would help the police department in order to patrol it 24/7. It travels the entire park. It is a programmed path but we're able to change the path and adapt it to, maybe, different activities that we become aware of. So, there's a person coming in. If it senses it too close, it'll stop for a moment. Good morning. All of this information is recorded. It's downloaded to a hard drive. If something were to happen and we needed to go back to look at the video recording, we can always access that video also. Cost is around $65,000 a year. We already use different funds in order to cover it. And like I said, it's a year-on-year basis. So, if we decide to renew it, it will come back to the council so we can vote on it.

According to the National Center for Health Statistics of the United States, roughly 37 percent of US adults consume fast food on a daily basis. The center found a significant rise in the number of severe obesity cases in very young children aged 2 to 5. Thank you so much for having us here in your home. Zobaida Falah on Ohio-based Muslim entrepreneur launched her snack bar company called Cure in June 2016,俄亥俄州的穆斯林企业家佐贝达·法拉于2016年6月推出了她的零食棒公司Cure,in an effort to end unhealthy food habits and raise awareness about proper nutrition and its benefits. To fight obesity and junk food habits, Falah created a line of organic healthy bars for all. The idea came to her when she was teaching math and English to kids. I would watch my students to come into the classroom, eating chips and soda, refined sugars, bad carbs. And anytime I asked them why do you guys eat so poorly, a very common response was healthy food just doesn't taste good. With taste in her mind, Paula started experimenting on a unique recipe inspired by her grandmother. Ingredients include a mixture of nuts, flavorful seeds, honey and black seeds. It took off, but to this day, she still runs her business from home, meeting roughly four to six thousand orders a month. Falah doesn't just want to change people's health but also tackle hunger as she donates a snack bar to the homeless for each one sold. We have a social movement and mission behind the company, which means that when we first launched we would donate a bar for every bar that we sold, when we would donate it to people experiencing homelessness. And as the company has grown and we've expanded and added new product lines to our brand, now we actually donate a percentage of all of our profits towards alleviating world hunger. Falah says her company has helped more than 200,000 poor people in the U.S. and abroad, including refugees in Syria, Morocco, Palestine, and Gambia.

On the floor of the North Atlantic Ocean rests one of history's most fantastic failures, the unsinkable RMS Titanic. The salvage firm RMS Titanic Incorporated has so far recovered more than 5,000 pieces of dinnerware and coins from the wreckage. They say after all these years underwater, time is running out to dredge the Marconi wireless telegraph machine that transmitted the Titanic's frantic distress calls. RMS Titanic Incorporated's presidents Bretton Hunchak: The roof has degraded significantly and the wreck is essentially collapsing in upon itself.RMS Titanic Incorporated的总裁布雷顿·汉查克:其船顶已经严重退化,残骸也正在不断坍塌。So we're at a point where the Marconi is really in a detrimental area, where we believe in a short period of time, it will fall in upon itself, leaving the Marconi sort of to be lost to the seafloor. At the time the Titanic was the world's biggest ship. The luxury ocean liner set sail from London to New York, but struck an iceberg on April 14th,1912. The ship sent distress signals in Morse code using the relatively new Marconi wireless Telegraph. Less than three hours later, it's sank. Only 700 of the more than 2,000 people on board survived. The Marconi is sort of I believe this generation's next step, and I believe that bringing a tangible part of Titanic to the masses, as opposed to just a few people they get to go see it, really makes that story real for them. It's a human interest piece. It's an incredible piece of technology especially for its day. And it's the reason that I think the legacy of Titanic still exists in the strength that it does. But outside of the Titanic Belfast Museum, not everyone shares Hunchak's quest to raise the Titanic or even parts of it, fearing the stress of extraction on the sunken ship. Parliamentarian Gavin Robinson: We will learn nothing new. There are other Marconi videos just exactly the same, that are present and in other museums available throughout the world. You can learn and understand without the need to go in and wreck and destroy. Engineers built Titanic and it's tendered the SS Nomadic in Belfast. Today of battle wages in the United States, where the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration argues in court that,如今基于打捞工作展开了争论, 美国国家海洋和大气管理局在法庭上辩称,the retrieval run goes against previous court orders prohibiting the removal of anything from the ship itself.

It is a nonprofit dedicated to encouraging reuse in our community, providing affordable materials to artists and teachers and all creative minds in the area. I learned about creative reuse centers over a decade ago, and they really sparked something in me,我在十多年前就了解了创造性再利用中心,它们真的激发了我的灵感,because I'd always been a creative reuse artist, but I didn't know there was a name for it really and there was a community for it. When I was a lot younger, one of the first inspirations I had was someone was throwing away this baking tin. And I was like, don't throw that away, I could do something with that. I didn't know what, but we drilled a hole in the middle and turned it into a clock. I called it my cupcake clock. I like to do a lot of CD mosaics. I did a series of all the local colleges that people seem to really like, and it's on an old like pantry door that got discarded. And I also make tiny little earrings out of paper like maps, music paper, old books, things like that. We are just outside of Leesburg, Virginia, which is kind of the keystone of Loudoun County. And it is a wonderful community that embraces arts and small businesses. Donations come in very willingly, all kinds of things, fabrics, sewing notions, paper, office supplies, lots of creative things that kids like to use like pompoms and buttons and pipe cleaners. All kinds of materials that might otherwise go to the waste, we take in and we try to find a new home for them. Our center attracts a wide range of people, ages and coming for all types of reasons. Alright Sonya, so what have you made today? I made a house like with flowers and apples and cookies. Is that where the house would go? Yes, but it is a little big.

The World Health Organization says unclean water, poor hygiene, and bad sanitation are linked to four percent of deaths in the world, and six percent of debilitating illnesses including cholera, dysentery, and typhoid. Many charities are helping, including one group of volunteers based in California. This is one of the drill bits. It's about four inches. This is a clay cutter. Employing local drillers water wells for Africa has dug 230 wells in villages in Malawi, a landlocked country in Southeast Africa. The group has identified 30 other sites for future wells. Dahlan was working for a faith-based organization in 1994, when he saw how rural Africans got their water.1994年,达岚正在为一个以信仰为基础的组织工作,当时他看到了非洲农村人口是如何获得水的。Even if you have, you know, a local river nearby, it's polluted by wild animals, livestock. They wash in it, they drink it, they bathe in it, you know, it's their only point of water, so every open water source is contaminated. Malawi is one of Africa's poorest nations. But Dahlan says its people are known as warm-hearted. In fact, their slogan is we're the warm heart of Africa. And they really live up to that. We found the most hospitable people you can imagine. He says local people form committees to keep the wells operating, a crucial component for each community plan. So we get five key leaders, male leaders and five female leaders, you know, for not only equality purposes,我们选出五位关键领导人,五位男性领导人和五位女性领导人,这不仅是出于平等的目的,but we all know the power of women, and they're the primary water collectors, so this thing breaks down, they're gonna make sure that it gets fixed. He says after more than 20 years, most of the earliest wells still work. Dahlan's group is one of many organizations providing clean water to local communities, addressing the world's other major health crisis.

I tend to think of myself as pretty quiet and shy. I like to think I have a good amount of confidence but I kind of keep it reserved. I eat lots and lots of fruits and vegetables. As you can imagine, I waste very, very little in my household, and I really believe that clean eating is a way to a more successful life, or a happier life if you want to put it that way. You start the day with a healthy meal, I guarantee you're going to feel better throughout that day and throughout that week. You'll be more motivated to do better in school, to get a better job, to maybe go workout or be more successful. And so it's really unfortunate that our food system is set up so: calories are cheap, but the nutrition is expensive. We're looking to change the face of produce to make it really accessible, really affordable for people that really need it. So if you walk down a grocery store aisle and you see perfect looking apple, perfect looking apple, perfect looking apple, imperfect looking apple,如果你在杂货店看到完美无瑕的苹果,也有外观有瑕疵的苹果,meaning it's too big or too small or it has a bruise on it, you wouldn't choose it in a grocery store, and that would get thrown away, right? We use the perception of, it's not what it looks like, it's what it tastes like. And even the ugly stuff tastes even better than the stuff you would find in a grocery store, because it's not processed, it doesn't have wax on it. It's straight out of the grounds, right? So it's even fresher and it tastes even better than the stuff you find in a grocery store. So our company is called Hungry Harvest. We have three different options. We have an organic, we have a recovered box, and we have an all fruit option. We sell produce with purpose. We hire people that were formerly in prison. We've hired people that were formerly injured or were sick, that are living in homeless shelters that were really looking to get back on their feet, and for a second chance in life.

It is a trip to the spa unlike anything Remy Meraz has experienced. It was really like I was on vacation. Meraz picks a location she wants to experience. Then she gets geared up with a virtual reality headset. She has the massage chair adjusted to her size and intensity preference, and sinks in for a virtual vacation. And an immersive multi-sensory experience begins. A fan, infrared heat, and aromatherapy with scents in the air are all triggered, when the user enters the virtual world in their headset. Your mind processes the sense, it processes the warmth, it processes for, you know, the tropical treat, the wind from the fans, and so you really believe you're in these environments. The heat lamp gives users the feeling of the Sun's warmth on their face, or in front of a cozy fireplace. In addition to this cabin on a cold winter's day, other experiences include a calm pool in Morocco, and even an outerspace experience. Meraz chose a trip to the forest waterfalls. I could smell the aroma of what it would feel like in a forest. It was, you know, woodsy sense. I could feel cool air blowing on me. These virtual locations still do not look quite like video of a real place. And for some users, the headset does make it tough to get a good neck massage. But for Meraz, she got the ultimate proof of relaxation. There are three different points where I almost fell asleep. Currently the 35-dollar mini vacation is only available in Los Angeles. The goal is to license this virtual experience to other cities, so hotels, spas, and offices can give people a quick escape from the stresses of the real world.

This is in Cambodia when kids are seeing water come out of the ground for the first time in their lives. Also in Cambodia. This is in Indonesia where women who were watching their kids suffer from malnutrition. These are salt workers which is one of the toughest jobs and it mostly is done by young girls and women. And I was with them, you know, with a health organization because the salt takes a terrible toll on their little bodies. Annie Griffiths has thousands of photographs she has taken all around the world, one of the first female photographers at the famous national Geographic magazine. In the span of 45 years, she has traveled to over 150 countries and all seven continents. I've always felt that being a woman was an advantage in my job, both initially getting into photo journalism, and then recognizing that I had half the world pretty much to myself. I spent about five years doing projects in the Middle East, and many parts of the Middle East and many aspects of their culture are gender separate. I think that is judged often by the western world, but there again is an opportunity to actually look at it from the women's point of view. The women caught by Griffiths' camera survived natural disasters and migrations, discrimination, war, epidemics and famine. But she says despite it all, they keep the traditions alive, raise children, grieveand just leave. So the stories I focus on are where women have found solutions. It's usually because they come together as a group, and as a group they figure out how to do something better. They're the ones planting millions of trees. They're the ones who are you know staying till the last minute after the men leave, and then shepherding their children and sometimes their parents. She believes women don't like being victims, and remain hopeful in the grimmest of circumstances. And that was the reason why Griffiths decided to found the charity projectRippleEffect Images that founds programs for women in developing countries. The idea came to her nine years ago when Griffiths saw the data from the United States Agency for International Development on humanitarian aid. Two cents out of every American aid dollar went to programs for women, so 98 went to men's programs. So I literally called my girl friends who are some of the best photographers in the world, and said, "Look, why don't we learn from the women we observe in the wider world?"

I can already see that you don't like it. Look, I would just start over. How about that? Okay. Hi, my name is Taylor as you know, and this is the tear drop from the orange sky. No momma, it isn't like that at all. Dude, I've got to tell you what happened at old man Fletcher's class the other day. I mean this, this is insane. So Drive Thru Drama, it's kind of like a Disney ride without the scary animatronics. It's driving and stopping at each actor. It's a live actor. They perform a monologue where there are 10 stations and it all comes together to make one story. I came across something I had learned about in theater history called medieval pageant wagons which was common at the time where actors would be on a wagon and they would do their scene and then it would move to the next town or to the next group of audience members. So, I sort of took that idea and flipped it, where the actor stays in one place and then the audience drives around and hears the rest of the story. I was a banker. I've never done anything like this. I don't know that there's ever been anything like this to do before. So, it's kind of like some of the things but still it's not. It's entirely different. Part of my job was I would sort through the money and decide if money couldn't be used anymore. It's in the game. Okay? All Right. You know, I have a help cushion but it's not enough. Okay, listen. I think we ought to cut our losses, like try to outlast until maybe second place and then….. We've never done anything like this before but I'm really looking forward to it. We both love theater and any chance to go and see live theater, I was excited about because there hasn't been much this year. Well, I thought when Danielle came to me and said, "I want to do a show," my mind went to monologues. My mind went to plays that are traditionally told by one person at a time, a one-person show but spread out over 10 people. And I thought I guess that's possible to do 10 disparate stories that are all linked around one thing, which in this case is a dollar bill with some writing on it. Make a small change and those sound like pretty big changes to me, pal. Yes, I am going to cue you. So, this car needs to get over to the second actor. I feel that us, as the white community, that we hold a very strong responsibility to speak up and be heard. My name is Jeremiah Hirsch and I am the owner of Electric Pair O' Dice Tattoo in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Erase the hate is a campaign that we put together to cover up racist and offensive tattoos.“消除仇恨”是我们发起的一项活动,旨在遮盖种族主义和冒犯性纹身。I started to post information and stuff to raise awareness about Black Lives Matter and towards the Black community. And in doing so, I had a gentleman that I went to high school with that reached out to me about having a Confederate flag tattoo on his foot that he was embarrassed of and it was hitting him even harder seeing the stuff that I was posting. And he asked if we would work with him on covering it up. So I went to the guys in the shop and I was like, I think this would be a really good opportunity for us to help this guy out and cover it up, document it and then post it and then launch this campaign of Erase the hate. I want to cover up this tattoo that I got a long time ago. It was to keep and instill slavery. From my own experience and convictions that I've had, just seeing daily interactions and stuff like that, showed me my privilege. Being a white male in America and seeing the unjust acts and treatment towards the Black community and the huge difference between those two. I wanted to get involved as much as I could. So I started actively going to protests. I'm a single dad with four kids and I've always led by an example that we see someone by their heart and their actions and that love is love, that it's universal. Everything deserves a chance and the opportunity to live and be loved. My upbringing, my parents were preachers and was raised in the Christian faith and as I got older and ventured out on my own, I experienced other religions and stuff. I really connected with Buddhist and Hindu traditions and really found this parallel between religions and understanding that the universa...
