What's up, guys? It is, Brian. And I feel like it's been a long time since we've had a little bit of a fireside chat on this podcast. And right now is one of those times where I feel like it's needed. So the purpose of today's episode is to walk through what pivots, what changes we're making with this podcast, with the programming, with the episode frequency, and more importantly, why? Because there's like four to five thousand of you guys that listen to this every single day. And I'm making a massive change to how this show is ran and how I think about the show in general. And so I want to give a little bit of backstory for people that are brand new and then also to my OG listeners, paint a picture for what's coming next. Because what's coming next for this show and for our media and content and brand overall is going to be a 100xing. Not a 5x, not a 10x, but a 100xing of output of quality and quantity so that we can actually achieve the goals that we set out to achieve. So before we go forward, let me take you guys backwards to why the hell did I begin this podcast in the first place? I started Action Academy back in 2021 in the basement of my house hack as a corporate B2B sales rep, selling uniforms to industrial companies and service companies, H vac companies, and local county governments in Atlanta, Georgia. And as I sat in the basement of my house hack, where I put 3.5% down and I had a low interest rate on a mortgage, and I lived in the basement, rented out the other rooms of my house, I came to a realization that I was making good money and I had no millionaires around me that would actually give me advice that I wanted to hear. Because, like a lot of you guys, I have now been that voice for you guys, right? I didn't have that person that I could talk to or that I could listen to that was actually giving me practical advice because my mom at the time, my friends, my family, my girlfriend at the time all told me how stupid of an idea it was to invest, to do all this stuff, to pursue these financial freedom dreams, to travel the world and all this stuff. And I didn't have anyone in my world that I could actually go to for advice. And so what I decided to do was start a podcast that interviewed millionaires, AKA Action Academy. Millionaire mentorship for your life and business. And so I literally pulled this podcast out of thin air, and I said, well, holy hell, you know, if I had a podcast, millionaires would have a reason to talk to me. And so I just started going around Atlanta, Georgia, and going around these mastermind groups that I was a member of and basically crashing the events and saying, you know, hey, I've got a podcast that interviews millionaires. Are you a millionaire? And a lot of them were. And so I grew up. This podcast originally, you know, through the different millionaires, is kind of my way of hacking connection and hacking relationships and being able to have those touch points that I didn't have because this was the value that I could offer them was eyeballs and exposure even when I had none. All right, so confidence goes a long way, guys. Even when I had no eyeballs and I had no audience or I had no eardrums listening, I still was able to build a really cool audience. And this podcast is the reason that I was able to quit my job, to be honest, because that audience I built was so cool. And some of you guys still listen today that were started joining masterminds and coaches that I recommended on the show, and that affiliate commission alongside my real estate was what allowed me to get out of corporate. And then when I launched Action Academy, our community, holy crap. Like, it was from this podcast alone, you know, And I built Action Academy up to a seven figure company, the mastermind from this podcast alone. So what started as literally a documentation of my personal journey out of corporate America, because I was calling out to these mentors, then became you guys as mentors and your guys's way out of corporate America. And so in 2022, when I left corporate and I was traveling and I started Action Academy Community, the podcast then became, I'm going to help a million people leave corporate America. Right? And so I thought, this podcast is going to be the way to do it. And there's a huge lesson in this, which is consistency is great, and it's awesome to do the same thing over and over and over again over a long enough period of time. And the advice we get a lot of the times is that that will yield success, but there's also a harder truth to swallow on the tail end of that, on the other side of that coin, which is sometimes you climb 80% up the mountain and you realize that there's a boulder in the path to the top, to the summit, and you have to actually go all the way back down to the mountain and climb a different path. And so after four years of the podcast, you know, four or five thousand of you guys listen every single Day. And that's awesome. Like, I love and appreciate every single one of you guys, but for us to help a million people leave corporate America, the podcast just is not the vehicle for us to get there, at least by itself. So let me explain further. For me to take this podcast to the next level. I started traveling around the world, literally, and around the country to do these interviews for you guys in person now. And so a lot of my month is spent traveling outside my home, away from my friends, away from my girlfriend now to go travel to Vegas, to go travel to North Carolina, go travel to San Diego, to all these different places to do these interviews for you guys. And the original thesis was, you know, I wanted to be the next Chris Williamson. I wanted to be the next Stephen Bartlett. You know, I thought I had what it took, and I. I thought that I would do what was required to be the best podcast interviewer and the best podcast host possible to grow this show up to where it deserved. Oh, my God. Deserved to be. And I did that for the last couple of months. I spent tens of thousands of dollars traveling every single month. And I did the shows in per person with the likes of Dan Martel, Lea Horoi, awesome people. And the reality is, like, the. The clips got views and the videos did okay on YouTube, but at the end of the day, the audience didn't really grow. The action academy community didn't really grow. And so I'm like, why am I spending tens of thousands and flying all around the country to do these interviews when it's like, dude, I can't even. Like, this isn't advancing towards my goals of helping a million people leave corporate America. And so the problem with podcasting is this is a retention vehicle. It's not a discovery vehicle. So there's none of these podcasts podcast. Even if I had Alex from Mose on here tomorrow, or Gary Vaynerchuk or Lewis Howes, Jocko Willink anyone, it's not. There's. There's no chance of it going viral, if that makes sense. Like, maybe I'd get 4400 of you guys to listen instead of 4000 versus if I go on YouTube and I focus exclusively at YouTube, that has a chance of getting 4 million views. And so that is the giant pivot that we're about to take. Because if I'm going to spend over $100,000 per year and over, you know, a thousand hours of my personal time on building a brand, I want to build a brand that gets in front of people. I want to build Content that gets in front of people. I want to build videos that get in front of people. And so that's why I want to give you guys a little bit of an update of what's coming Next, which is YouTube for us. So sit, sit tight, sit. Sticking with me because I'm not sunsetting the podcast completely. I want you guys to understand what we're doing next, but I need you to understand the macro strategy. Because for me, the number one thing that's important more than anything is how do I help a million people leave corporate America in the next three years? Okay, so that's gonna be me and my 33rd birthday, or 34th birthday. I wanna help a million people leave corporate. And so I identified three different things that I can do in order to make that happen. Number one, build a million plus subscriber YouTube channel. Number two is to become a New York Times bestselling author of a book that specifically is talking to people that are in corporate America and help helping them escape. That's different than passive to passionate book. Like great book, glad you guys read it. Way too much information, way too much scattering. It needed to be like three points total for it to be a really digestible New York Times bestselling level book. And the third is to focus on Action Academy, the mastermind, the community only. So if I just build a million subscriber plus YouTube channel, become a New York Times bestselling author and focus on Action Academy, our community, to make it the best community, the best mastermind that exists. If I just do those three things over the next decade, I'll accomplish my goals. And so what we're going to be doing also is taking all of the YouTube content that we're doing. So I'm going to be making two YouTube videos per week and I'm going to be posting them to our YouTube channel under Brian Lubin. And I'm going to be taking the audio and I'm going to place it here from you guys. And for you guys, I think it's actually going to be a better experience because honestly, a lot of the interviews I have on here aren't necessarily helping you guys leave corporate America. You guys are running into different problems and different challenges than what I'm talking about on the podcast. Because quite frankly, I'm interviewing people that are interesting to me. Like I just interviewed Hormosi's creative director. That doesn't really help you guys leave corporate. Right? But it really helps me because I get to build that brand, I get to build that connection with him. And I get to ask him personal questions that I have, which is basically been the show for the last year. And obviously, if I was crushing it at leaving corporate content, you guys would all be ranting, raving about this podcast, posting it everywhere, and it would be growing organically, which it is. Absolutely not growing organically. It's been stagnant for the last year and a half, no matter what I've thrown at it, which lets me know that the content itself is the problem. As much as that, sucks to say, the reason that I've reached this conclusion is a huge takeaway actually, for everybody listening to this, which is you must either increase your sacrifice or reduce your desire. Those are the only two options in life. Not wanting something is as important and as valuable as having it. And so for me, I've seen what is required to become a top podcaster and I do not want to do it. My. I. I just can't do it anymore. Like Action Academy as a business, the Mastermind is going to be an eight figure company here next year. And I just cannot manage our team of 11 right now. 12 coming up, our team of 12 with over 500 community members. I have to be full time focused on that. I have to be full time focused on running the actual business, running the actual team, building the brand, making videos. And then so every single episode that I posted this podcast is going to be both a video and an audio. So that way it's able to hit two different audiences at the same time, versus me just doing these interviews. Like, I just can't do it, guys. So in closing, this is what the podcast is about to be for the remainder of November, December, and then we'll make an educated decision about what we want it to look like moving forward after that. I would say probably three episodes a week. But where we're going to begin is for the month of November, I only am going to have Action Academy members on the podcast. So. So I want people that are actually like incorporate in the process of leaving or people that just left corporate through Action Academy and they're sharing their stories, they're sharing what worked. That's the stuff that's actually gonna move the needle for you guys. That's bingeable, shareable, tactical content. That's down where you guys are actually struggling and operating, which is the point of the podcast. And so my hope is that you guys will get a lot more value from the relatable episodes that are right where you are. And also we're going to be launching the best Black Friday offer that we've ever done in Action Academy history that's going to be announced almost solely on the podcast. So stick around for that. Sit tight, stay tuned. It's coming here soon. And, guys, at the end of the day, you know, I've done this every day for freaking four years. I'm consistent, if anything, and so it's hard for me to realize and to acknowledge that, like, yo, if I could have gone back four years for anybody listening, I would have started a YouTube channel instead, and that would have been my primary focus. So with that being said, you know, I still love podcasting. I'm still going to do interviews from time to time because I still want to get in front of people. But overall, this is just going to be a lot more curated content for you guys coming up instead of me just doing, like, podcast host interviews. So I hope you enjoyed my ramble. Sorry, it's late at night on a Monday after me doing, like, 13 hours of meetings for my company. Like I said, Action Academy Mastermind. So, yeah, guys, I hope you. I. I hope you guys enjoy what's coming next. And I want to give a sincere thank you to everyone that's, like, shared the show and been with us in the beginning. This is not an edited episode. This is all over the place, but it's just real, it's raw. It's from my heart. Thank you. Like, we've changed thousands of lives. We've built massive companies from this, and it's been really sick. And so I'm excited for the next chapter of Action Academy podcast and it's going to be better than ever before. So thank you so much, guys, and talk soon.
