End of the year. There are no fights the end of the year.
Adam Carolla
Well, there is a fight. Yeah, Conor McGregor's talking about getting in it with the Paul boy.
Mayhem Miller
Yeah, he agreed to fight Logan Paul in India.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Mayhem Miller
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Now, you know, I was kind of Thinking about it, you and I were talking about this before. Straight boxing. Is this straight boxing?
Mayhem Miller
Straight boxing match.
Adam Carolla
And he's giving away some size.
Mayhem Miller
Yes, he is.
Adam Carolla
I don't know exactly how much size.
Mayhem Miller
I'll tell you that. Conor McGregor is like a natural one. 45er. I seen him and he's like 35, 45. He's a 45er that bulked up, be it naturally, unnaturally to like 170, 180. He's walking around. 180.
Adam Carolla
What height's he at?
Mayhem Miller
Like 5 6.
Adam Carolla
Oh, is he that short?
Mayhem Miller
He's pretty short, yeah. So there's like, oh, they got him listed at 5, 7. I one eyed him at 5, 6 and I think my eye is a.
Adam Carolla
Little better in a world where we round up, especially when we're trying to make a case. You know what I mean? In a world where you can be 5, 6 and 3, 16 or something. So he is that short. He is 5, 6. He's probably not 5 7. The weight is. I don't know if they're going stone or kilos.
Mayhem Miller
What if this graphic is hilarious?
Adam Carolla
I don't know. But they put this thing together, but he's only 32, which is not.
Mayhem Miller
But like, as of late, he's gone hard in the paint. Like, I think it's all open secret that he's on crazy amounts of cocaine at this stage in his life.
Adam Carolla
Really?
Mayhem Miller
He's really partying. Yeah. And I only say that only because it's been like in deposition, he's admitted to hard partying with cocaine.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Mayhem Miller
I mean, it's been pretty apparent to us all in the media, like looking at his videos of him talking and there's a lot of crazy clips out there.
Adam Carolla
Well, remember when he had to train to fight Floyd Money Mayweather?
Mayhem Miller
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
And he went headlong into boxing and people didn't really think he had much of a chance against Mayweather, who's considered one of the best of all time. And Gabe made a good Gabel for the first eight rounds. Good.
Mayhem Miller
Started peting her out. Like, he started to peter out a bit. But I mean, it's the best boxer in the world, so. Strange thing. Yeah, that was a weird. But this is a new wrinkle. He's like the, I don't know, number 8th richest guy in the world that's funding this. So the guys are gonna get paid. It's in India, which I didn't even know India cared about boxing this much. Right. Why wouldn't you have it at msg? Why wouldn't you have it in Vegas? Why? You know, give the fans of what they want here in America.
Adam Carolla
Also, I noticed that they were careful to call it an exhibition.
Mayhem Miller
Exactly right.
Adam Carolla
And why do they need to say exhibition? Because they can't get it sanctioned. I mean, it's not gonna be a uf. But why use the word exhibition? Or are they just using the word exhibition? Because I don't like when I hear exhibition.
Mayhem Miller
Yeah, nobody does. Nobody in the know. But this, I guess even with the whole Jake Paul and Mike Tyson debacle, like influencer boxing is not dead. Logan Paul is not a real boxer. He's a WWE wrestler, a promotion expert. And these two guys, you know, you can argue at this stage in the career of Conor McGregor, like they're both like influencers. They're big time Instagram following, kind of YouTube guys where they just got so much heat behind them in only that realm. Not necessarily as boxers. We just want to see popular people fight each other. I mean, and they're going to most likely capitalize on this. I don't know. There's no deal that it says to me, like no Netflix deal or anything like that. I don't know who's going to promote it or I mean, I do know, I do know that this richest guy in the world, number nine, is going to. Yeah. Is going to promote the fight, but I don't know what channel is going to be. I don't know if this is real. So I'm reporting the news that I don't even know if it's truly.
Adam Carolla
I saw it on TMZ yesterday. So it's real. That much I know. Okay, well, look, both of them are going to get paid and it's not like they're going to sustain much damage, you know what I mean? So both of them. For both of them, it should be, I shouldn't say a walk in the park, but I'm saying what Conor McGregor normally has to deal with, you know, fighting one of the ranked UFC guys, fighting a Diaz brother or something like that. This is going to be a fairly easy evening compared to Nate Diaz. You know what I'm saying?
Mayhem Miller
Yeah. There's less to worry about Mega Madoff.
Adam Carolla
Or one of the. It's going to be an easier evening. You know, I used to, I played football, baseball. And football was hard. And then baseball is kind of fun. Like you start to get up and move and sweat and stuff. But it was an easier day than the football day was a hard day, you know, So I say there's going to be a payday. I would say what they're going to do to us is what they always do to us is right now they're talking about it, and we're all butt hurt from his brother's fight against Tyson, and we're going, never again. And at some point, we'll start getting hit over the head with it and we'll start talking about it on sports talk, and then someone will be invited on some podcast, and the other guy will punch the other guy, and then we'll start talking about again, and the next thing you know, we're all going to be gathered up at someone's house watching the fight that night.
Mayhem Miller
Yeah, I agree with you totally, wholeheartedly. That's what's going to happen. Once the hype cycle gets back around, TMZ cooks it up to us a little more. You're right. Absolutely right.
Adam Carolla
See, I don't think there's much you can do when one guy's 58 years of age. There's only so much you can do in terms of that fight.
Mayhem Miller
I ran into a YouTuber that broke down frame by frame. 38 seconds left. In the first round of that fight. You see Mike's knee that he had wrapped up slip awkwardly. They put it in slow motion for me.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Mayhem Miller
I said, ooh, yeah, they're totally right. And then after that, there was no more offense for Mike because Mike's whole thing is go forward left and right, left and right, and you can't do that with the meniscus that's slipping in and out. Right?
Adam Carolla
Yeah, yeah. So. But when one guy's 32 and the other guy's 23, they can mix it up.
Mayhem Miller
They could throw down.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, yeah.
Mayhem Miller
So it's like, how serious will Conor take the fight? You know, he's got all this extemporaneous stuff he's got going on.
Adam Carolla
I don't think a guy with his combat experience, and again, he's 32, that's not over the hill.
Mayhem Miller
No.
Adam Carolla
And with his experience training for money, Mayweather and stuff like that, I don't think he has to take it that seriously. I just think he has to come in in relative shape, not be fat, put in a camp and do it. I don't think this is going to be Herculean effort for him, is what I'm saying.
Mayhem Miller
Especially that it's Logan, it's not Jake. Jake is like the guy who he has obviously focused on boxing.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Mayhem Miller
Exclusively.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Mayhem Miller
And he's a lot bigger. And then, you know why Logan is, you Know, I don't know. Closer in size to Conor, I would say. And I don't know it's going to be interesting. I don't know. They don't have a date here on that, but sometime next year we're going to have that. In mixed martial arts news, they just announced this fight recently. Bullet Sharon Mega Madoff, the one eyed Bandit and Michael Venom Page. That is going to be, I think that's going to be exciting fight. And actually Magomed off is because, you know, you remember he came in off that heat with the spinning double elbow kind of technique. He is favored in the early betting lines. Why? I don't know. They're forgetting that Michael Venom page is like a very. And he's coming off a loss from Ian Garry, you know, like barely lost kind of thing. He doesn't have that heat under him that he usually does. And Magomedoff is a favorite. So that to me is an interesting, you know, being an under Michael Venom Page being the underdog here against a guy who is, you know, like I said, he's got that heat under him and everybody's like a big fan because of this crazy knockout and he's got a great style and is good at everything. I don't know, man. Michael Venom Page being an underdog is kind of strange to me in this.
Adam Carolla
Are they 170?
Mayhem Miller
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
And when is this going down?
Mayhem Miller
This will be in Saudi Arabia and I believe the date on it's February 1st. So it's going to be a whole month into the new year. They're going to have a, have a big card over there in Saudi Arabia. That fight to me is very interesting because Michael Venom Page has an elusive like karate type style where he runs forward and tags and runs away. And I don't know how Magomedov will deal with it as much as the odds makers are giving him. You know, I think that the odds might be might swing on that fight. But then again, Magomedov has really good wrestling too. Good takedowns, good kickboxing. It should be it. That's the fight that I'm looking forward to in the new year. That's for sure.

Are these guys Mega Madoff and their ilk, are they that much more gifted physically? I'm going to answer probably not. Or is there some sort of discipline in their camp and code that makes them who they are early and often?
Mayhem Miller
No, no, it's early. The whole like I noticed in my career that I was like really good at kicking people and I realized, oh yeah, I played soccer when I was a kid and I was like, oh, I'm really good at this headlock. Oh, it's kind of natural from my dad. My dad has the same thing and I think that and we, I did that same move when I was a kid. This is like my rear naked choke was basically my third grade headlock.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Mayhem Miller
Adapted into my man body and what you know those MAGA Madoffs, the Dagestanis. The real thing that Separates these guys is that you catch them, you pluck them. And I have students myself, I 8 year old who is doing technique that is grown men have struggled with because they've already been doing it. He's been doing it since he was a little, little kid.
Adam Carolla
Student.
Mayhem Miller
Student, yeah, the student here. I have an 8 year old who can just hit technique after technique and chain them seamlessly because he's already been doing it since he was 5. So at this stage in the game he's been doing it so early. And I think that two things, if you don't burn the guy out where he hates martial arts by the time he's 20, then you have a real shot at him becoming champion. Other thing too, yeah, there's some genes involved and some God given talents. But yeah, I think a lot of what we're seeing from these, you know, Eastern European fighters and this, this type of the, the ilk, you said they're, they're just getting them early and drilling them into the dirt so it's second nature. As soon as they go out there, they're so comfortable with all the techniques. You see our athletes in basketball, football, we got them in a program early and young and that side of the world's been doing that for quite a long time. And it used to be like fedors of the world been doing judo since he was a little kid and then he translated the, the techniques into mixed martial arts. Now we have mixed martial arts camps all over the world that have been doing this for a good long time and have had access to the Internet for their entire life. So they, the techniques spread and proliferate all over the world. And a little bit of that home cooking, you know, they've been doing it forever.
Adam Carolla
What's the right age to get started?
Mayhem Miller
I say as soon as those kids can walk, put them into the grappling art. My, you know, I always tell people that it's safe to put them in jiu jitsu because there's a low chance of them getting a head injury at that age. You know, you don't want to injure a kid at that age. But I would say as soon as they can start to like follow directions, even the littlest bit, you can get them into a jiu jitsu program. Get them feeling natural with push, pull and changing positions and wrestling. And the kids naturally want to do it. Like it's just in our blood and in the human, we're primates so we all like to play and wrestle with each other. And if you can focus that Play into something good. Then they can develop those skills. They'll make them a martial artist later.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. All I did was wrestle my friends. That's all. We didn't have video games. We didn't have a color tv. We didn't have air conditioning. We didn't have anything. But we just wrestled. Wrestled. That's all. That's all we ever did. It's so weird that they're trying to talk boys out of wrestling because it's so natural. It's so built in.
Mayhem Miller
I know. Yeah. I got into that conversation with somebody, like, about that exact same thing. I saw. I don't know. Maybe it was on the ACS show. Huh. We were talking about how that. How we have this weird thing, like, some people. It's a big divide now, where there's some people who are trying to stop kids from being kids.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Mayhem Miller
And then there's other side, who we're all like, yeah, now make the kid into a super kid. Like, now he needs to learn jiu jitsu, not just wrestling on the. In the backyard, at the barbecue. He needs to really figure it out, and he needs to be sweeping an arm barn.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. I hate watching an arm bar. What else going on in the ufc?
Mayhem Miller
Yeah. You know, there's a weird thing. Nate Diaz facing misdemeanor battery charge in Las Vegas.
Adam Carolla
Nate Diaz.
Mayhem Miller
Nate Diaz. Yeah. He. This is, like, a while back. I. I'm pretty sure we talked about it a long time ago, where he just shoved the bouncer, who's wearing some glasses, in the face.
Adam Carolla
Mm.
Mayhem Miller
And it was, like, such a minor contact incident, but, yeah, now he's facing a misdemeanor that just came up on the radar. We just got this. That. Yeah, because he shoved the bouncer in the face, who was kind of a shorter guy, and. Yeah, he caused the. Caused a kerfuffle.
Adam Carolla
Don't you sign up for that when you're a bouncer?
Mayhem Miller
Yeah, I know. Yeah. Listen, I had the same kind of incident going where a. I've had a couple of times where, you know, maybe I was being rude or loud, and a bouncer, instead of asking me to leave, just grabbed me in a headlock, and I just escaped very quickly. And now I'm banned from the place because I escaped. The guy in a Vegas bouncer. He can't.
Adam Carolla
That club is called lax.
Mayhem Miller
There you go.
Adam Carolla
Oh, do we have. Is there film of this?
Mayhem Miller
Yeah, exactly. You'll be the judge if this.
Unknown
Nathan pushed the bouncer.
Mayhem Miller
Oh. Oh. This is somebody's breakdown of it, but here you Go.
Adam Carolla
He pushed him in the.
Mayhem Miller
The guy. The bouncer tried to shove him out of the way. He's about to fight the bouncer. He just gave him a head shove and put his hands up and the bouncer tried to come swinging. So it was really weird. Like, the response was very up there.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Listen, I. Look, you come from. Where I come from, there's a lot of contact with a lot of people. And when people say I was assaulted because the guy shoved me or pushed my glasses off or whatever, pushed me against the wall or whatever that's called Tuesday in my world. It drives me nuts when people go, he was physically assaulted. He was pushed out of the way or pushed down or whatever. All day, every day. That's all we did. So I don't like it. And would you be suing and probably suing somebody once they. I don't like when they find out someone's got money and then they. And then they sue.
Mayhem Miller
It's happened to me a couple times.
Adam Carolla
Yes, I know that's how all of life works. But it's like, either you did it or you didn't. It's not based on what's in your.
Mayhem Miller
Savings account, but America, it is America. How much money can I get out of this and not have to work for it? Yeah.
Adam Carolla
What I'm saying is if you get rear ended by a poor person or you get rear ended by Richard Branson, either you need to wear a neck brace or you don't. It's not. I have to wear one if Richard Branson rear ends me. But if this illegal rear ends me, I don't. I'm fine. That's what I don't like.
Mayhem Miller
This is America, bud.
Adam Carolla
So. The Diaz brothers ever coming back? I know we talk about that.
Mayhem Miller
Yeah. You know, I don't know anything. I think Nate has a contract. Look, and I don't know. I don't know if I'm supposed to talk about this or whatever, but I have it on good faith that Nick has gone to treatment. So God bless him. Thank God. He was having a rough time. Like, everybody was apparent. Like, I don't know. Did we talk. I talked about it on another show where it was. He's obviously facing something that's going on and.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, yeah.
Mayhem Miller
So I've had. I got the word that he's going to treatment. He's getting healthy. Like, hopefully he's. He's got it sorted out by the time this airs. You know, I know it takes. Takes a long time to sit in the rehab and Figure out what's going wrong when I'm out there. Like, well, how do I stop this.
Adam Carolla
Out there in society.
Mayhem Miller
In society.
Adam Carolla
Not in the octagon.
Mayhem Miller
Yeah, exactly.
Adam Carolla
Right? Yeah.
Mayhem Miller
All right.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. I mean, listen, you root for the Diaz brothers for some reason, and I'm not sure why.
Mayhem Miller
You know what? I'll tell you what it is. They're like the ghetto brothers down the street.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Mayhem Miller
You know them. You know they're going to get in trouble, throw some water bottles and be kind of juvenile. But you still love them. Like, you know who they are. You. You wouldn't like them getting in your face at the car wash.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Mayhem Miller
But you don't mind that we get to laughing. They. They show us. They give us a good. And they give us good fights.
Adam Carolla
And they're also a dying breed. Like, we're not going to have Diaz brothers 50 years from now. There will be no more of those guys.
Mayhem Miller
You cannot. In today's society.
Adam Carolla
Well, we wish them well and Godspeed. Another fine performance turned in by Mayhem Miller.
Mayhem Miller
God bless.

Guest: Mayhem Miller
The episode kicks off with Adam Carolla and Mayhem Miller diving straight into the highly anticipated boxing match between MMA superstar Conor McGregor and internet sensation Logan Paul. Announced to take place in India, the fight has stirred significant buzz among fans and media alike.
Key Discussion Points:
Fight Format and Venue:
Mayhem raises skepticism about the fight being labeled as an “exhibition” match, questioning the necessity of the term since it indicates the fight lacks official sanctioning.
Mayhem Miller [05:45]: “Exactly right. And why do they need to say exhibition? Because they can't get it sanctioned.”
Physical Stats and Readiness:
The hosts analyze McGregor's physical condition, debating his listed height and weight. Mayhem suggests McGregor is approximately 5'6" and around 180 pounds, asserting that his build may not pose a significant challenge against Logan Paul.
Mayhem Miller [03:30]: “Conor McGregor is like a natural one. 45er. I seen him and he's like 35, 45... He's walking around. 180.”
Influencer Boxing Phenomenon:
Both Carolla and Mayhem discuss the trend of influencer boxing, comparing Logan Paul's venture into the ring to other non-traditional fighters like Jake Paul. They express skepticism about the competitive nature of such matches, emphasizing the entertainment value over athletic combat.
Adam Carolla [07:45]: “I don't think there's much you can do when one guy's 58 years of age... This is going to be a fairly easy evening compared to Nate Diaz.”
Shifting gears, the conversation moves to upcoming MMA events, specifically the fight between Magomedoff and Michael Venom Page scheduled in Saudi Arabia on February 1st.
Insights:
Fighter Analysis:
Mayhem discusses the contrasting styles of the fighters, noting Page's elusive, karate-inspired techniques versus Magomedoff's wrestling and kickboxing prowess. He expresses interest in how the fight will unfold, anticipating potential shifts in betting odds based on performance.
Mayhem Miller [12:55]: “Michael Venom Page has an elusive like karate type style... Magomedov has really good wrestling too.”
Cultural and Promotional Aspects:
The choice of Saudi Arabia as the venue is questioned, considering the country's growing interest in hosting major sporting events. The hosts speculate on the promotional strategies and potential viewership impact.
Adam Carolla [12:00]: “And that's the fight that I'm looking forward to in the new year.”
A significant portion of the episode delves into the importance of early training in martial arts for developing world-class fighters. Mayhem emphasizes the advantages of starting training at a young age, highlighting discipline, technique mastery, and natural talent.
Notable Observations:
Development of Techniques:
Mayhem shares personal anecdotes about learning grappling and chokes from a young age, drawing parallels to how elite fighters hone their skills from childhood.
Mayhem Miller [16:12]: “The real thing that separates these guys is that you catch them, you pluck them. And I have students myself, an 8-year-old who is doing technique after technique...”
Cultural Influence:
The discussion touches on how different cultures promote martial arts training, particularly in Eastern Europe, contributing to the rise of formidable fighters in the global arena.
Mayhem Miller [16:37]: “They've been doing it so early and drilling them into the dirt so it's second nature.”
The hosts address recent legal troubles faced by Nate Diaz, focusing on a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from an incident with a bouncer in Las Vegas.
