From Corolla One studios in Glendale, California, this is the Adam Corolla Show. Adam's guest today, mixed martial artist, wrestler and actor Rampage Jackson and radio personality John Clay Wolf. Plus the news and trending topics with Jason Mayhem Miller. And now with your annual reminder to.
Adam Carolla
Keep your Thanksgiving, Adam Carolla. Yeah, get it on. Got to get on the chosen. Get it on. Rampage Jack Jackson back in studio. A lot of fight and combat talk, I guess, with Miller and Jackson. First off, you know, I watched the A team, the movie, and I was like, rampage Jackson's pretty good actor. That was my take, man.
Rampage Jackson
You know what? I'm glad you said that. But honestly, I wasn't acting, so my acting is still trash.
Adam Carolla
You're playing yourself.
Rampage Jackson
I was playing myself. That was a mixture of me and my dad.
Adam Carolla
Did you grow up as a Mr. T guy? I mean, you're a little bit young for Mr. T. No, I'm 46.
Rampage Jackson
He was. It was in the heyday. I used to watch that show with my dad. I was out. I'm the weirdest person. I'm not a big fan of anybody or anything, but I was Mr. T's biggest fan.
Adam Carolla
Well, I went as Mr. T for Halloween in like, 1985 or something. And it's not blackface. It's an homage. Homage to Mr. T. If I went as a generic black man, right, then that's blackface. I'm going as Mr. T. Ain't nothing wrong with that because I love Mr. T. Why are we trying to discourage. Here's the thing, this blackface thing, if you are a big fan of someone who is black, that's actually a good thing.
Rampage Jackson
Exactly.
Adam Carolla
I was so committed, I shaved my head.
Rampage Jackson
You didn't do the fake.
Adam Carolla
I grew a beard when I was like 20. This could have been 1982, 1983. They'll find a picture of it. I grew a beard. I spent two months preparing for the role of commitment. I was Mr. T long before you were Mr. T. I grew a beard and I shaved my head. And that. Not back before everything. It was cool to be bald or anything. We're talking about the 80s. People had long, flowing hair.
Jason
Oh, my God.
Rampage Jackson
No, that is not blackface. That's Mr. T. Hey, that reminds me of Tropic Thunder.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. I drew a beard and shaved my head.
Rampage Jackson
I love it.
Jason
I love it.
Rampage Jackson
You had all the gold chains and everything, too.
Adam Carolla
I got all. I mean, they were plastic but, yeah, I did the whole thing. Cut the sleeves off, did the voice.
Rampage Jackson
Hey, I hope I'm not misunderstood by saying it, but you look kind of like P. Diddy right there. I'm sorry, Diddy.
Adam Carolla
I've been to a couple of the parties, but I clear out my 4:00am.
Rampage Jackson
Hey, but you know what? You went up a notch in my book, man. That's cool, though.
Adam Carolla
So, Rampage, you're one of my favorite fighters. I felt you were pretty dominant, almost a little unbeatable back in the light heavyweight UFC days. A good run.
Rampage Jackson
I had a good run.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. But the thing about UFC is, and the reason I think people like it, is Larry Holmes had a good run, but it was never a question that he was going to win. We knew he was going to win. And Muhammad Ali sort of before that. I mean, Muhammad Ali has some epic battles, but I just mean Larry holmes went like, 11 years without getting beaten or something. I just knew, you know, it's like, oh, here comes Trevor Berbick. Okay, he's going to be. And here comes Ronaldo Nehemiah or Snipes and Ronaldo, those Snipes or something. He's going to beat this. And he just would. Ufc, you never know. Yeah, I mean, and the. The record reflects it, because you have guys going to the hall of Fame that are, you know, 30 and 18, and it's like, that doesn't exist in boxing. You can't have 18 losses against 30 wins. And you're not a marquee guy. And UFC, anything can happen.
Rampage Jackson
Do you know why the records look different between MMA and boxing?
Adam Carolla
No.
Rampage Jackson
Because a lot of boxers, their records are padded. Mma, we fight anybody, right? Have you ever turned down a fight, Mahem? No, I've tried to turn down one fight. Matt Hamill. No, you still fight. I'm like, okay, yeah.
Adam Carolla
How'd you do against Matt Hamill?
Rampage Jackson
I beat him, but I just didn't want to fight him because he was a wrestler. I'm a wrestler. But he's one of those guys that's just. Just wrestling, wrestles and wrestling. I like exciting fights. Right, yeah. Well, he was deaf, and people gave me shit for fighting a deaf guy.
Adam Carolla
Oh, yeah. Now when you're. When you're doing the press leading up to a deaf guy, you can talk shit, but you must need a guy who can sign shit.
Jason
Yeah, yeah, right.
Adam Carolla
Like a shit signer.
Jason
Stenographer.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
He had his. He had his own people, you know, that's why. So long ago. And I liked him. I had nothing against him. So I couldn't really talk shit on him.
Adam Carolla
Who didn't you like that? You fought?
Rampage Jackson
I didn't like Vanilla Silva. I didn't like him. He hated me. But I didn't like him because he hated me. I didn't like Queen Mo. That was your friend and my ass.
Adam Carolla
Oh, Queen Mo. King Mo.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something about Mayhem. You know me and Mayhem, we started at the same time. We're brothers. And Mayhem, he was a traitor. He went and trained when I was fighting for the first. I'm the first ever unified champion of this sport of mma. And he went to go train with my opponent, King Ma. No, no, no. Dan. That was Dan Henderson.
Adam Carolla
Oh, Henderson.
Jason
What am I supposed to do? I had to go make some money. They go, hey, we'll give you some money to pretend to be this guy for this fight. And then I train with the guy I didn't know later he was gonna fight you.
Rampage Jackson
No, you come back. You come back and say, like, hey, these guys are offering me money to train with them. How much you gonna pay me?
Jason
No, no. But when that happened, he was fighting Murillo Bustamante, not you. And then I just stayed with the camp. What was I supposed to do? Like, go.
Rampage Jackson
No, no, you fight. You fight my brother Rampage.
Jason
I'm Audi.
Rampage Jackson
How much? How much you get paid? Yeah, I was.
Jason
I was living in a van down by the river.
Rampage Jackson
Let him be the judge. Listen, I know Mayhem, your boy, but come on.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, no, I'm with you, Rampage. Dan Henderson's a tough customer.
Rampage Jackson
That's a tough fight, bro.
Adam Carolla
Did you beat him?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, I beat him. I beat him by decision. I knew that was going to be a tough fight. But you know what? I'm glad Mayhem went to train with him. Because when I was fighting him, it was like training. It was like training with Mayhem. But he wasn't as good as Mayhem at the stuff.
Adam Carolla
Oh, wow.
Rampage Jackson
So Mayhem actually helped me win that fight without even knowing.
Jason
Exactly, yeah. So you win, win, win.
Adam Carolla
I know you were talking a little shit about Jake Paul. I think he tweeted something recently. What'd you make of the Tyson Jake Paul fight?
Rampage Jackson
I would never say one bad word against Mike Tyson, because, you know, I love him so much. I look up to him, but I'm a fighter, and I looked at that fight and I can tell, like, you know what I'm saying? He did what he was supposed to do in there. You understand what I'm saying?
Adam Carolla
Meaning Tyson.
Rampage Jackson
Tyson did what he's Supposed to do.
Adam Carolla
In there, you think? Okay. Okay. Let's try to figure out some nether region. Not nether region. Sorry, no nether region. No nether region. Something in between his butt cheeks.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Back in. Back in the 30s, the mob would just pay you to take a fall right now. That's not what's going on now. But there's another version where there's an understanding of how this is going to play out.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Is that sort of what you think happened?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, because look at Jake Paul. He's a YouTuber turned boxer. He did pretty good, got some pretty good skills. But he hand picks his opponents, which is smart because he's the ticket right now.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Rampage Jackson
And the one guy that he thought he can beat. One boxer that he thought he can beat. Well, let's. Let's keep it 100 right now. He fought Tyson Fury.
Jason
No, no, no, his brother.
Rampage Jackson
His brother. Tyson Fury's brother. What's his name? Whatever his name.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Rampage Jackson
Last name. Tyson.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Jason
Harpo Fury.
Rampage Jackson
I think I forgot his name.
Adam Carolla
Tommy.
Jason
Tommy.
Rampage Jackson
Tommy Fury.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Rampage Jackson
I'm not gonna lie. I thought Jake Paul was gonna beat him too, because I've seen him fight in clips of his fight. He sucked as a boxer.
Adam Carolla
Tommy did.
Rampage Jackson
Tommy did. Right. And Jake Paul thought he could beat him. But when you watch the fight, Tommy just knew a little bit things that. A little bit more things than us MMA guys know about the head movement and ducking around.
Adam Carolla
Jab.
Jason
Yeah, Jab was a lot more crisp.
Rampage Jackson
Yes. Stuff that don't come natural to us. We can't really bob our head, move that much or we get kicked or knee in the face.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Rampage Jackson
And just that little bit was enough to beat Jake Paul. Right, Right. So he handpicking his opponents. So what's the next biggest thing for him at that time, Mike Tyson, it went. It broke the Internet.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Rampage Jackson
Went viral. But he probably put calls in there that Mike Tyson can't knock him out.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, Tyson got out of the gate, threw a couple of punches with purpose. He threw a straight right like in the first round. That was kind of Tyson esque, you know, and he was moving sort of Tyson esque. But it's a game of really milliseconds and millimeters. And it's basically Trump in Assassin's Bullet, you know what I mean? I mean, we are literally milliseconds and millimeters from having Kamala Harris as the president because Tyson just. Tyson, because Trump turned, turned and just looked and caught his ear. I mean, the difference between getting hit in the forehead and getting Hit in the earlobe is nothing versus everything, you know, And Tyson's punch missing you by a quarter inch. It's the same as you getting missed by a freight train. By a quarter inch. Nothing. You're still the same. So just that little timing that 58 year old guys just don't have anymore.
Rampage Jackson
Right, but you know, we missing the whole point. This at the end of the day is all entertainment. Yeah, they're entertaining people.
Jason
They did a good job of like hyping that thing up. And then I didn't even watch those like behind the scenes type thing, but I saw it that it was on there every day. They had a new episode every couple days. It was like a total, I don't know, like propaganda machine to get you to. On the Netflix that night, the.
Adam Carolla
So sorry, what did you tweet out to Jake Paul? We had it written off for some reason.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, I saw him going at Conor McGregor. Conor McGregor to fight MMA. No weight classes or whatever. Because Conor McGregor is a smaller guy than him.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
So he wants to fight mixed martial arts with Conor.
Rampage Jackson
That's what he says.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, that's what he says.
Rampage Jackson
All right. Yeah, so I didn't like, I didn't like that. I don't like him calling out the little, little bitty guy, you know, saying, Jake, Jake Paul should call out people his own age and his own size.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, yeah, but he's not going to do that.
Rampage Jackson
Exactly.
Jason
Too smart for that.
Rampage Jackson
That's what I'm saying. Like, yeah, we know what you're doing. We know you handpicking your opponents, you know, to get the bag and you know you're doing good. But yeah, but stop. Come on. Don't come to MMA.
Adam Carolla
Quit.
Rampage Jackson
Go. Go out there and get more YouTubers. Go fight more YouTubers.
Jason
He did it for long enough in the casual space where no, like, like fight educated people. Like, we didn't. We weren't paying attention to that. Yeah, we know nobody who knows fights. Now we are. And now we're telling on them. Like, everybody's going, yeah, dude, you're just picking on guys that are older. Pastor Brian got knocked out before and can get touched really easily. So that's what you're doing now. Now we pulled behind the curtain. I don't know what the hell he's going to do. He ain't going to fight you in mma. Well, I asked to fight him. Mma. No, everybody's lining up. Hey, you want to fight mma? Come on, let's fight. But the guy is not going to do it. There's no way he does it.
Adam Carolla
What do you think, Connor, if they had that fight, what do you think he would enter the ring weighing 220 pounds?
Rampage Jackson
No.
Jason
Connor?
Rampage Jackson
No, no. Trying, trying. I would say close to like 180, 185. Because he. 185, he'll probably cut to get down to 70. 170, right.
Adam Carolla
Maybe Conor cuts to get to 170.
Jason
Now he does. Now he does.
Adam Carolla
Now he does.
Jason
I'm sure he got enormous for that movie.
Adam Carolla
So what I'm. What I'm saying is it's one thing to stay on your feet, but I think Connor would have a huge advantage over Jake Paul if you mixed it up.
Rampage Jackson
Well, Jake Paul is a wrestler. I think he wrestled in high school.
Jason
In high school, yeah. But, you know, it takes a while to get that back. Like you even see it in ufc, guys who are. Were wrestlers who just spec into kickboxing, only they turn into, like they forget how to wrestle. They don't really wrestle because those muscles you, you know, I said at the seminar this past weekend, there's like only certain ways and you know it that like, you know, you can't really go on a machine and work your sprawl. This doesn't work. You have to have somebody grab your legs and kick your legs back. You have to figure out, and I think Conor McGregor would do some weird kind of, I don't know, step around, take down, and there he'd be on his back eventually. Like who?
Rampage Jackson
Conor?
Jason
Yeah, Connor. I think Connor might, might be able to work that out in a grappling fashion.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
How good is Connor's ground game? I never seen him submit.
Jason
He knows how to do jiu jitsu for sure. His takedowns, we never see him because he does this wild kind of kickboxing stuff. And, you know, you could even see in the Khabib fight like he had some jiu jitsu, he just wasn't strong enough to fight off Khabib.
Adam Carolla
I don't think. I don't know that Conor wouldn't be favored in this, do you?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, no, he wouldn't. Because he's a smaller guy.
Adam Carolla
He's smaller, but this is MMA and anyone can get choked out by 160 pound person, you know.
Rampage Jackson
So you would put your money on Conor in that one?
Adam Carolla
I think if it was straight MMA and, you know, Conor took it seriously going into it. Yeah, I think I would. Listen, I used to box. I've been beat up by guys who are 30 pounds lighter than me, just boxing just because they were Real aggressive and they hit real hard and they're real, you know, they were good. You know, it's not all, it's not all size and, and when you go down into mma, I think it's less, less about size. Like, I mean, Jon Jones is big and he's beefed up now and stuff, but Jon Jones at 220 could probably handle most of the 250, 250 pound heavyweights. What did you say?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. Britney Schwab told us on the Jackson podcast that he was sparring with Jon Jones, that he wouldn't say the other heavyweights when he was 205, said they would do round the guy that stays in the middle. And Jon Jones beat everybody up all the heavyweights when he was 205.
Jason
Yeah, he's like a standout talent.
Adam Carolla
I know it'd be interesting. You wouldn't mind fighting Jake Paul. I guess in mma I would fight.
Rampage Jackson
Jake Paul for free. You know why? Because people going to think it's a money grab and the fans thinking that a lot of these fighters are taking a dive for money. And I would like to just show the MMA fans that Jake Paul is not all what he's cracked up to be and just go out there and just knock his ass out first round.
Jason
Hell yeah.
Adam Carolla
Who is. What do you think your best fight was, Rampage?
Rampage Jackson
My best fight.
Adam Carolla
I need a list of Rampage's fights, by the way, just put on the screen.
Rampage Jackson
I think my best fight was that fight against Dan Henderson because I showed, like, I showed everything. I showed my standup, I showed my wrestling, because Dan Henderson's a great wrestler. And I showed my, my ground, my ground skills, which I don't typically show. And that fight was a really tough fight and I had to turn it up the last 30 seconds of each round to win, to win that fight. And that was my best fight.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, that was kind of the Sugar Ray Leonard thing when he went against Hagler, the game that 30 seconds left, you know, and he finished with a, with a flurry.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
And probably won over a lot of judges.
Rampage Jackson
That's what, that's what I did. That's how I trained. Because I've trained with Dan Henderson before as well. And so I, I knew how tough he was and how skilled he was. So I, I made a point to myself that this is going to be a real hard fight for me. And at the end of, I told my coaches at the, at like at 30, when 30 seconds left, let me know. And when I ran, when my runs almost over, I sprinted the last 30 seconds. And in my training, I went hard the last 30 seconds every day in training camp. And I think that's the only thing that won me that fight.
Adam Carolla
You know, it is interesting when you fight and, or do radio, you get a real appreciation of like, what three minutes is what five minutes is, and what 30 seconds is like you do radio, there's a commercial break, it's four minutes. You got time?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
People think, oh, you don't leave the studio. I was like, leave the studio, I'm going to take a piss, get a blowjob, come back, smoke, cigarette, and I'll be back. I mean, like, you got time. And when you train boxing, MMA, whatever that thing is, you don't know how long 30 seconds can feel, you know, but it's, I think it's good because it gives you some sort of life perspective, you know, where people think it's kind of interesting. I don't know if you guys ever do this, but I'll sometimes just time myself. Like, I'll go, like, I don't want to go down to the car, get the shit out of the car, I'll do it tomorrow, you know, And I go, it's 45 seconds. You don't have 45 seconds because you, you, you cover ground or it feels like forever. Yeah, especially when you train. Did you guys train on the timer with the 5 minute bell and have like a 30 second?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, no, we don't.
Jason
No yamas. We did remember, because I can remember that thing. And then we would go hard in the last 30. I remember that.
Rampage Jackson
I don't, I don't remember that. He, he has a better memory than me. I just remember telling him to yell it to me. Oh, yeah, yeah. But, but you know, they had like a 10 second. They had 10 second bail sometimes, but yeah, I don't remember those.
Adam Carolla
Funny, I was trying to think of this name the other day. Leota Machida, the Karate Man.
Rampage Jackson
Oh, that was a tough, that was a tough training camp. That was a tough fight too.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, that was a win.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, that was a win. It was. That was really close.
Adam Carolla
But I thought, what happened to karate man? Remember? Did you fight him?
Jason
No, I trained with him, but I never fought him. Yeah, he. Not for that fight. Not for that fight.
Adam Carolla
He was doing karate.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, he was making it work.
Adam Carolla
He was making it work too. Like there wasn't a lot. Most guys were just MMA in it at that point. He was trying, he was karate man.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. Yeah. That was a really tough training camp. I remember my team brought in this one karate guy. I'm sorry, I forgot his name. I don't know why I keep forgetting his name.
Adam Carolla
But he was in Ralph Macho.
Rampage Jackson
I don't. I don't. He was in that movie League of Extraordinary Gentleman.
Jason
Oh, really?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, he was in that movie. And he. And he was my karate coach. But he would get mad when I was beating the karate guys. Cuz thing about MMA or martial arts, I think a lot of martial artists and martial art masters, they have a big ego, and so they want their martial art to do better than yours. So that was a really tough training camp just because he was bringing in karate guys. So I could see how karate look. And he. They were supposed to be really good, and I was them up. Yeah.
Jason
Yeah. Well, they're coming at you with front kicks and you're like, step inside.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Jason
And. And jabbing them.
Rampage Jackson
Oh, yeah.
Jason
Hitting them with hooks and doing Muay.
Rampage Jackson
Thai shit to them. I was just them up, taking them down and stuff.
Jason
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
And he would get mad and. And I was like, look at your. Your karate works. But you know what I'm saying. It's just that I'm a mixed martial artist. Like, bro, chill out. Don't get my coach.
Adam Carolla
Well, mix and Joe, you can find the man show bit where I was the karate instructor. Oh, yeah. I was sensei.
Rampage Jackson
Adam, you were sensei.
Adam Carolla
I'll show you the bit. The thing about mixed martial arts is it is essentially evolved into the most effective way to beat a person in front of you. That's really what it is. You can go, well, this guy does some Muay Thai, that guy does some kickboxing, and this guy's a karate man. And that guy wrestled in college, and this guy did this and grappled, whatever, judo. But really what you're saying in mixed martial arts, because there's no. Essentially no rules and no biting, you know, But I mean, it's like saying you walk out in front of any bar on any street in America, and there's another human being standing in front of you without a weapon.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
What is it that you would like to do? Well, you would like to beat this person and not be beaten by this person. So you go, well, how would. How would we do this? And it would evolve into mixed martial arts. You enter the cage, that's it. Could be karate man. Could be Jon Jones.
Rampage Jackson
Right.
Adam Carolla
Could be Chuck Liddell. Everyone's got their own stuff, so that's your style. So if you go, I do this discipline of karate, or I do this discipline of this martial Art, it may be good for someone who has no skills, but it's limited to the discipline versus your Swiss army knife. You're everything. You have to be everything. So of course the everything is going to be the discipline because you're keeping it. It's like saying, I like cars. A dragster is the best car for a quarter mile, but it's no good on a track with rights and lefts. And like a NASCAR is good for an oval, or an Indy car is good for an oval, but it's not as good as a sports car with a windy. A windy road. But this is the best car. Yeah, for all the. For all the roads. That's. That's kind of what is. So you are going to beat the martial artist? I would think.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. Yeah. If they. If they're limited to just one martial.
Jason
Art, you spec'd into a specific one. I can take it a step further because mixed martial arts is. It's algorithmic. Basically every sport, whatever the rules are, you shave it down into the most effective techniques, like, for instance, judo, you have the jacket, you're allowed to pull on it and throw it. Okay. So all these crazy techniques are going to. Are going to evolve out of that. Muay Thai, same thing. You're only allowed to kick, punch, knee, elbow, the guy. The most effective techniques are going to get shaved down in there.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Jason
Mixed martial arts, depending on the rules. Because you say there's no rules, but there's rules. I don't know rules like, remember, because back in Japan, we fight and then we can get kicked on the ground. It's all different stuff.
Rampage Jackson
A mud hole.
Jason
Exactly.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Jason
Neon knee to the head on the ground, that changes it, but still, like, the algorithm shapes. The algorithm of the rules shapes the sport into whatever shape it is. And now we have the unified rules here in America, where it's elbows on the ground and then they reset this one. Yeah, you're gonna see a lot like, this was. That was my move. I would. Back in the day they outlawed my move.
Adam Carolla
Elbow, hammer, elbow, down, 12, six.
Jason
I would just quickly get to the mouth.
Adam Carolla
12 and six, like a clock.
Jason
Throw two of those and then the fight's over.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, yeah.
Adam Carolla
Well, so, but when I. And I agree, but I'm saying in the street, once the guy's on his back and covering up, you don't need to drop elbows. He's done. You know what I'm saying? So I'm saying mixed martial arts, ufc, it's basically you standing in front of somebody else. And may the best man. Win and you're going to have the best technique over a discipline. The kind of burgers you get today tells you a lot about yourself. You're either someone who settles for sad, same old, same old burgers, or you're at a Carl's Jr obsessed with a tangy OG Western bacon cheeseburger demanding a house made guacamole, loaded guac bacon fired up for the insanely hot El Diablo or craving a classic charbroiled famous star. Give in to your flavored cravings. Do your mouth to Carl's Jr.
Rampage Jackson
Good.

Last night was fun, but honestly, we should have used protection. I learned about an HIV prevention option called PREP or Pre Exposure prophylaxis. And it means routinely taking prescription medicine before you're exposed to HIV to help reduce your chances of getting it. Prep is about 99% effective when taken as prescribed. It just doesn't protect against other STIs, so we'll need to remember to use condoms and other healthy sex practices. You should look into it. Visit findoutaboutprep.com you can also talk to your healthcare provider to learn more about PREP and all your HIV prevention options.
Adam Carolla
All right, we have Sensei Adams. Man show bitch from a million years ago. Ever see this? I saw it, man.
Jason
I saw it. I don't remember it though.
Adam Carolla
I was forced when I stopped. My name, Sensei Adam. I am going to teach you the art of karate. Rear front kick. Left. Right. Cabbage Patch. Evil Death Claw. Let me give you a real world scenario. Let's say you're in the milk line at school and bully comes up behind you once you change. Let's say you're at the beach with your best girl and guy comes up and kicks sand in your face. Let's say you're at a bar tilting a couple of cold ones after work with your buddy and some drunken townie thinks you've been making eyes at his. What are you going to do? You're in a fight and a couple of the Tijuana locals think you've been winning just a little too much. Let's say you're on the street and a bad guy pulls a knife on you. Watch this ticket technique, boys. But he. But he. But he holds it more forward. And now he does that thing where. Where he taunts you by throwing it back and forth from one hand to the other, but a little smaller. A little smaller, but faster. Huzzah.
Rampage Jackson
Ow.
Jason
Oh.
Adam Carolla
You were at a strip club at one of the Betties. Just told the bouncer you gave her the magic thumb. This one's for my brother. Hey, you guys got two choices. Sweat on the mat or bleed on the street. Go. Hey, sweet, sweet. You're a Nam on a recon mission up the Nikon Delta. Next thing you know, you step on a little present from Charlie. It's a Bouncing Betty. You got a heartbeat to react or you're gonna be wearing your sack like so much aftershave. See you in hell.
Rampage Jackson
Ah.
Adam Carolla
You thought you were gonna make some extra scratch doing gay porn. You just got the snuff film. Now you got a ball gag in your mouth and you're in a basement somewhere in Pomona. What do you do? What's up? Oh, yeah, that was Sensei Adam back in the day.
Rampage Jackson
You're a martial artist. You studied karate, Correct?
Adam Carolla
I kickboxed at the Jet Center. Remember Benny the Jet? He's a legend, but, you know, God, Then there was Lily, the sister. And then there was the brother.
Rampage Jackson
Oh, God.
Adam Carolla
I'll think of the brother in law. Or kids. Or maybe it was his brother Blinky. Do you guys remember Blinky? No.
Jason
No, we missed.
Rampage Jackson
He didn't make it.
Jason
Yeah, yeah, he didn't make it into.
Adam Carolla
Our Blinky or Kidas was there and there was a guy. There was like. They had some. A lot of pro fighters out of there. And Benny was hanging out. It was in Van Nuys. And so then I went to. I think it's there, by the way, the Jet set.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Benny the Jet or Kitas. Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
You have a fight?
Adam Carolla
Golden Gloves, 1984.
Rampage Jackson
Is it Golden Glove kickboxing?
Adam Carolla
No, not just boxing, No, I just trained. I trained in kickboxing, but I really did boxing at the Olympic Gym, also known as the Montoya Gym, also known as the Hope Street Gym, like back behind the Olympic Auditorium.
Rampage Jackson
He's one of us. He's a martial artist.
Adam Carolla
I mean, you guys go to like, like really shitty gyms. Yeah, like black, black, black. In the day. Back in the day, like they did.
Rampage Jackson
A lot of shitty gyms. Oh, you went there? That's not a shitty gym.
Adam Carolla
They have signs like, no spitting on the floor.
Rampage Jackson
I hate those gyms. I hate those gym lists. You walk in there and it smells like, like, like a jock strap.
Jason
And then like they had the bucket with the, the funnel at the top of the thing. But it haven't. They haven't emptied it in a while.
Adam Carolla
The Olympic Gym had a folding table set up with containers that were like sunny D bottles and orange juice bottles all rinsed out with tap water in Them and it just all set out. And so during when the bell, everything was on the bell, you know, you get your one minute break, people just walk over to grab the sunny dump. People dumped it, you know, they didn't really touch it. You know, they did the dump and they set it back down like no one even had their own. But then the guy go fill it up with the H and put it back the next day.
Rampage Jackson
Wow.
Adam Carolla
When you sparred, they would take the leather headgear off the dude who was wearing it before you and pull it right on your head and cinch it down wet. Because who could afford, you know, the headgear was expensive.
Rampage Jackson
I couldn't do. I'm a germ freak. I couldn't do that. I couldn't do it. I would never been a fighter if.
Adam Carolla
How could you do MMA and be a germ freak?
Rampage Jackson
That's the thing. I think that's what made me more of a germ freak. Rolling around with Mayhem sweaty. Yeah, he would never change his shirt. I used to always bring like. I used to bring like 4T shirts with me and go to Mayhem. He got the same shirt on for two hours. Oh, bro, you get. You get some other man sweat in your mouth. Oh, you ever had another man sweating your mouth?
Adam Carolla
It's not in a non sexual setting, but it would. It is. Sure, there's the weekends, but not at the jet. Is Blinky or Keta still alive? And is he Benny's brother? And then there's a sister or Blinky or Kitty's brother in law. Okay. And then Lily, who was really tough. Kickboxing training was hard, man. I. Because there was a lot of stretching that was really uncomfortable as I recall.
Rampage Jackson
Right? Yeah, I hated that part. That's why I could never hit kick.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. Stretching is. It's just. It's all discipline, but you have to do it. And it's hard and doesn't feel good and it's no fun. You want to hit the bag, skip the ro. Rope, you know, hit the speed bag.
Rampage Jackson
I used to always be jealous of Mayhem, how flexible he was. Until I found out that people that flexible are gay.
Adam Carolla
Ah, that's.
Jason
Hey, we rolled a lot. You had your sweat in my mouth.
Adam Carolla
I know. It feels way too weird, intimate. Then you start bleeding. Then the person starts bleeding on you and sweating on you.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, it's a nightmare for. For a germ freak. That's why. I don't know if you guys noticed, I never throw a whole lot of elbows. I never tried cutting my opponent. I don't want their blood on me.
Adam Carolla
Mm. Yeah. So you're. You're retired for good? Unless Jake Paul wants to take a run after.
Rampage Jackson
I actually. I actually never retired. I just had the worst fight of my life back in 2020, right before COVID I had, like, a. I had a health problem. Damn. Doctors mixed, misdiagnosed me with hypothyroidism, put me on some medicine that made me gain weight.
Jason
Yeah, I was shocked when I saw you on the thing. I'm like, what is going on?
Rampage Jackson
So. So when I got to Japan, I wasn't even that big and one. And one of my coaches said, oh, you gotta carb up so you can have energy for your fight. I'm like, coach, I haven't been eating carbs because, you know, this. This thyroid issue. I'm trying to lose weight and get in shape. I haven't 8 carbs in a couple months. And I stopped taking the medicine because Coach Cal told me he did, like. He did a blood work on me and looked at. He looked at my. My thyroid. He said, you don't have a thyroid problem. There's something wrong with your T3, and your medicine is keeping you from losing weight. So I stopped the medicine cold turkey. He said, I wouldn't stop the medicine cold turkey, But I told him, man, this medicine is not helping me. It's hurting me, keep me from losing weight. I'm not taking it. He said he maybe needed the wing off, but I didn't listen to him. So. So when I got to Japan, one of my coaches told me to carb up, and I did, and I bloated.
Jason
Oh, rebound in three days.
Rampage Jackson
I bloated and I didn't even notice. I didn't even notice. I. Look, I didn't even notice. I was that fast.
Jason
As soon as I saw you, I was like, it looked like somebody inflated you, bro.
Rampage Jackson
It was really. It was. It was really bad.
Adam Carolla
What were you fighting at? What way?
Rampage Jackson
I was fighting at heavyweight, but. But when I. When I got to Japan, when I got there, I probably weighed, like, 250, you know what I'm saying? But then by the time I fight, I blow it. Like 265. 260. It was, bro. It was the most embarrassing thing. And so. So that was my last fight right then.
Adam Carolla
Is that Fabio? No, that was Maldonada.
Rampage Jackson
No, no, no, that was Fedor. I fought Fedor.
Adam Carolla
Oh, Fedor.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Oh, man, he knocked me the out.
Rampage Jackson
Like, the first round.
Adam Carolla
He's a legend.
Rampage Jackson
He's a legend.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Well, wait a minute Fedor, 2020.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
You guys about the same age?
Jason
I think he's a little older than you, right? A year older.
Rampage Jackson
I don't know. I know that we have daughters that was born on the same day.
Adam Carolla
Fedor seems like a nice enough guy.
Rampage Jackson
He's the nicest guy ever. I love Fedor.
Adam Carolla
Ah, so Fedor is 48?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, he's older than me now. He's two years older than me then.
Adam Carolla
So he was like, you know, 43, 44 or whatever.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Is he is. You know, Fedor's the legend.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Pretty unbeatable. I mean guys, I don't think guys are going to be able to do what he did anymore because everyone is so good. And by the time you get to a certain level, anyone can beat anyone on any given night and there's going to be no more. This guy's 40 0, you know, legend kind of dominance stuff, but he's probably one of the last guys. Jon Jones is kind of the current guy of that. But Fedor be the last guy that fought in different, you know, different places, different, you know, I mean, you talk to Benny or Kitis, he had like death matches in Thailand and stuff. Like, you know, those days are probably gone. It's a little more regulated, I'm gonna tell you.
Rampage Jackson
What's that guy name that just, just knocked out Max Holloway? Topura.
Jason
Yeah. Iliad Toporia.
Rampage Jackson
I think he, I think he has a good run to being like a Jon Jones, like an undefeated guy.
Adam Carolla
So could you feel it with Fedor when you got in there with him?
Rampage Jackson
Feel what I didn't feel?
Adam Carolla
No, not fear. I mean, feel that power. Feel that whatever he has.
Rampage Jackson
No. Yeah. Fedor threw some hard leg kicks.
Adam Carolla
He.
Rampage Jackson
And that. But the punch he hit me with, you don't. I didn't see it and I didn't feel it.
Jason
He has that technique where he like slings his, you know, it's like a judo kind of. It translated from judo where he's like throwing from his hip and slings it.
Rampage Jackson
Over time and it lands right behind your ear.
Jason
Yes.
Rampage Jackson
So you have, you, you have, you have no chance if you don't, if you don't stop it in danger.
Adam Carolla
I was at the crazy fight where he fought the Russian guy.
Rampage Jackson
I know, I know that Andre or.
Adam Carolla
Lasky, I was there and Andre got, came out strong, got Fedor sort of backed up and was just going for the kill with a flying knee and he knocked him out mid flight.
Jason
I had like the worst angle. I was like, what the hell happened? It Looked like he just jumped up and fell right down. But then you see the reverse angle and he hit him with a nice clean one.
Adam Carolla
You rarely see the mid flight knockout that way, especially when a guy's on his heels and you think he's just going to try to survive the round, basically. And I don't know. Did Jon. Did a young Jon Jones fight on that car?
Rampage Jackson
No, no, no, no, no. Jon Jones went. He went to the UFC pretty early on in his career. Right. He did like a few, you know, pro.
Adam Carolla
Oh, that wasn't a. That wasn't a ufc.
Rampage Jackson
No, that was an affliction.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. Cause they were in a ring.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. You know. You know what shocked me when Dan Henderson knocked out Fedor. He was the first one to. He was the first one to knock out Fredor. Huh?
Jason
You hit him with the crazy, like old man, right?
Rampage Jackson
No, no, no. It was uppercut from on the ground, right? Yeah, yeah. And Dan Henderson was so much smaller than Fedor. We never saw that coming.
Jason
He was just fast, like for the. Yeah, for that size. The guy, you know, he gave up some speed to. To Dan Henderson. That was. And strength. Henderson's really strong.
Rampage Jackson
And that was the first time Feder got knocked out that we seen.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Jason
I know. It made him finally like look mortal.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
I got some thoughts on some stuff. I don't know if you guys saw this. The. There's an la. We're doing the street takeover stuff where everyone just gets. Oh, yeah, in the intersection does donuts, stolen cars and people get run over all the time.
Rampage Jackson
Oh, yeah.
Adam Carolla
It's just kind of bound to happen. But. And it. Now somebody sent me a tweet where the guy's doing donuts and above him is a drone that's firing fireworks down onto the car. This is crazy. But it's also one of those la. Like somebody you ever see sometimes people tweet me film of Los Angeles, 1946, and they just go all the way down Sunset Boulevard and there's a bunch of people dressing suits and ties. Everything's clean. There's no graffiti. There's no nothing. There's no garbage anywhere. There's no homeless. It's just a civil society. I would like to show those people this video and go, this is what we're. This is what we've devolved into.
Jason
I'm from the future.
Adam Carolla
I'm from the future. Now I gotta get. I don't know who's. I don't know how this drone works, but the drone is flying 20ft above the cars. Doing the donuts. And it's firing fireworks onto the car, and there's a bunch of people hanging out the car. Well, they're always.
Jason
That's some SA Engineering right there. You strap on the firework onto the. Onto the drone and set it off.
Adam Carolla
Holmes. Well, listen, Holmes, look, they love the sas. Love. They love their fireworks. There's no. There's no doubt about it. But do you buy a standard drone? You can't buy a fireworks drone.
Jason
No, no.
Adam Carolla
You have to just buy a drone, right?
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
And then duct tape. Duct tape works.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
But then you also have to light it with a long fuse on the ground.
Jason
No, you just get brave. I mean, look, my people, the redneck engineers, we, like, get a rule. Get right in there with some fireworks and go, go, go, go.
Adam Carolla
No, no, no. I'm saying you want to delay on the fuse because you want to get airborne and get acclimated. You want to buy yourself, like, 20 seconds of getting airborne. You don't want it firing on the ground is what. Is what.
Jason
Fireworks. Yeah.
Adam Carolla
So I don't know. Joe, look into this. Like, how does this. I don't even know because that's not a flower, and it's not an M80, and it's not a piccolo Pete, you know, it's not a straight Tijuana firework.
Rampage Jackson
Right there.
Jason
That's like something legitimate.
Adam Carolla
You ever go to Tijuana and get fireworks?
Jason
Hell, yeah.
Adam Carolla
Me, too.
Rampage Jackson
I've never seen anything like. I didn't know drones could do that.
Adam Carolla
Did you? Well, they can't. You gotta tape fireworks to it.
Rampage Jackson
I don't think that was taped to it. Was it?
Jason
Yeah, it has to be.
Adam Carolla
Listen, maybe Zip died.
Jason
Yeah, Zip died.
Adam Carolla
Zip tie tape will take care about anything.
Rampage Jackson
I don't know that. That looked engineered. It waited till they started doing the donuts.
Adam Carolla
Well, that's my delay. That's my delayed fuse thing. Yeah. You know how to make a delayed fuse?
Rampage Jackson
I don't know how to make.
Adam Carolla
You know. Ma'am, you know how to make a delayed fuse?
Jason
I mean, I figured just the longer.
Adam Carolla
The fuse, take the fuse and untwist it and knock the gunpowder and the sulfur out of the fuse.
Jason
I see. Sort of slowly.
Adam Carolla
Slowly burns like a cigarette. You put the sulfur and the gunpowder and it goes.
Jason
I see.
Adam Carolla
That's how. That's how it works as you make the delay by undoing it. Sort of like making a joint out of a cigarette.
Rampage Jackson
How you learn how to do all this?
Adam Carolla
We didn't have anything to do when I was a Kid. We had no video games. We had no air conditioning. We had no nothing. So everything was make your own fun. And we'd make Polish cannons, what people call potato cannons. You guys are built potato cannons or Polish cans. Everything. When you have no video games and no outlet and no air conditioning and no nothing, you got to resort to wrestling and fire. You have to light stuff on fire. You have to blow stuff up and light stuff on fire. That's all. That's all we would. Would do. And we would get stuff from Tijuana. People would bring back stuff from Tijuana, and then we'd get hold of it, and then we'd start fucking around with it. But that was our entertainment. We didn't really have other.
Rampage Jackson
How easy was it to go to the tier one and we use coming up.
Adam Carolla
I went to Tijuana for the first time when I was about 16 and a half. And we went there with a dude, you know, who had a car that could make it there. It was about, you know, with not so much traffic back in the day. It was like two hours and 20 minutes. You could get there. You would park at the border. You would walk across the border because you want to leave your car on the American side. Take a cab. Cab would take you down to Revolution street, which, like, the main drag. You would go to a bar that was off the main drag so you could get drinks for like a quarter or 50 cents or something. You get drunk. Then you'd buy a bottle of booze and then you'd sneak it into the strip club, which was on Revolution Down. They're all underground sort of basement things. And then you would sit, sit in the back of the strip club and you order Cokes. Then you dump booze into the coke from under your table. Until you got discovered. The Corolla Travel guy, my friend Tom hooked up with one of the ladies to go back upstairs for some, you know, so she could make some extra money, right? And we were back there, and he went upstairs with her. And about the time he went upstairs with her, we got caught dumping the bottle. And, you know, they got their own form of justice over there, you know. And so we got literally chased out and then chased down the street. And we ditched a guy, but our friend Tom was still in there upstairs with one of the ladies. And we, we couldn't leave.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Because he didn't know where we were. So we had to stay some weird distance away because the guy was standing in front on the sidewalk. Where are those kids? You know? And so we had to stand far enough away where he didn't get us, but not so far away that when Tom staggered out of the place with a boner, we could find him again. But that's what we used to do in Tijuana.
Rampage Jackson
That sounds like fun. Going to Tijuana, getting fucked up again, chased by God damn.
Adam Carolla
The thing about Tijuana, look, is it was pretty lawless, you know, which is good and bad. You know, it's good if you want to do whatever you want. It's bad that you can get robbed while you're doing whatever it is you want. I slept on the beach in Tijuana. We literally would just bring a blanket from our bed, and when we were done partying, just go to the beach and just put the blanket on the sand and just go to bed.
Rampage Jackson
Nobody with you?
Adam Carolla
I. I woke up, there were dogs. You know, like dogs that walk sideways.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
You know, they had a lot of sideways dogs. Bigger sideways walking dogs sort of walking around me, which I didn't. You know, sleeping on our beaches. No.
Jason
Out of our country.
Adam Carolla
No. We used to go to Baja and do the same thing. Like, you just. I don't know. Like I said. What. What do we care? Like, we have to lose. No, we didn't have anything, so who cares? I mean, what. You couldn't rob me. There wasn't anything.
Rampage Jackson
Let's get practice.
Adam Carolla
Exactly.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
There are firework drones used to combine fireworks and drone shows.
Rampage Jackson
Told you. I told you they was engineered. Yeah.
Jason
All right.
Adam Carolla
What does a firework drone look like?
Rampage Jackson
How much does it cost?
Jason
No, this is something different. I think they have a video.
Adam Carolla
There are drone sh. Shows.
Jason
No, last night there was one at the Grove. It was like a crazy, like, holiday.
Adam Carolla
But these are fireworks. Wow. You're right. Wow.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. You guys are underestimating the times that we're living in with technology and man.
Jason
Right. You're right.
Adam Carolla
I'm just wondering, like, you gotta have, like, a license from the atf. You can't go to Amazon and buy a fireworks drone, Right?
Rampage Jackson
Probably not.
Jason
I mean, I can.
Rampage Jackson
They put restrictions on it. They. They started putting restrictions on it because drones. People start doing crazy shit with drones spying on people.
Jason
Flamethrower drone.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, you gotta get a license to fly some of them. Now, they go a certain height.
Jason
You're right.
Adam Carolla
And the military, Ukraine and everything, is using the shit out of the drones. Did you guys see this footage of this drone that's trying to shoot some Russian guys? I don't know if they're Ukrainian or Russian. Or whatever.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
And the guys are like trying to shoot it, but they can't shoot it because it's with. And the one guy just whacks it with his gun. Did you see that?
Jason
I saw that one too. Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Oh, it's. It's a crazy vid from probably. I saw it about three months ago, maybe four months ago, where there's these two soldiers just out in the open and a drone. Because that's how we're going.
Jason
I know.
Adam Carolla
We're going to get hit by drone, right? Swarms. They're all getting hit by these drones. And they're swinging. They're trying to shoot it. But it's like I said, if you're. It's like. It's like if you're being attacked by a crow, you couldn't really shoot it. You know what I mean? I've been shotgun, shotgun. These guys didn't have shotguns. And the drone is coming at it, and eventually a guy threw his rifle at it and whacked the drone. We have it easier that way. It's kind of nuts. So the drone in the street takeover is either somebody getting their hands on a drone that shoots fireworks or just a resourceful essay with duct tape engineering.
Rampage Jackson
Hear me out. I'm tell you exactly what happened.
Jason
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
One of them motherfuckers work on a movie set.
Jason
I don't know about it.
Rampage Jackson
What? Why they can't work on a movie set? Why they can't work on the movie set.
Jason
But I'm saying, like, how many drone operators. Street takeover.
Rampage Jackson
They still got a life. They probably a cool like this. Yeah, my homes. He's doing street takeover, homes. I would go to movies. I got the drone. I fly the drones. We're going to film it. It's going to be legit. They said, come on, bro. All right.
Adam Carolla
We at the vid of that. I'm sorry, do you have that one, Emmy?
Jason
We're scrubbing through it right now. It's one of those summarized videos.
Rampage Jackson
Did y'all see? Did y'all see? I saw. I saw this guy talking maybe a year ago on Tick Tock was talking about they already have drones that. That they can pilot that has like a bullet that can come and just shoot you in the head.
Jason
Yeah, I figured as much.
Adam Carolla
They already got.
Rampage Jackson
They already have those.
Adam Carolla
Listen, everything that starts off. Off is something like new technology eventually either turns into a weapon or porn. That's how the way we roll as a society, we. We see something and we go, somebody invented a robot. And we go, okay, so either we got to use the robot to kill somebody, or we gotta the robot fighter.
Jason
Fighters.
Adam Carolla
Those are two things. All the new technology, it always starts off as something, and then it just turns into fight or fuck.
Rampage Jackson
Okay, I got a question then. What if you come home and your wife is fucking your robot? Would you consider that cheating?
Adam Carolla
Or you were like, well, so she's having a lesbian affair?
Rampage Jackson
No, no, no, no. She put a. She put a strap on it, motherfucker. It's going pound town like this. Honest answer. I'll be honest.
Adam Carolla
She's being pegged by my robot.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, your robot is fucking your wife.
Jason
I would beat the shit out of my robot.
Adam Carolla
Well, I would definitely take the batteries out and take it with me, you know, when I.
Jason
I.
Adam Carolla
That would be an interesting conversation to have, you know, like, baby, what are.
Rampage Jackson
You doing fucking this robot, babe?
Adam Carolla
Right.
Rampage Jackson
What am I doing wrong?
Adam Carolla
Yeah. There would have to be some self reflection, I think when you walked in on it.
Jason
Matilda1000. How can you do this to me?
Adam Carolla
It'd be an interesting conversation to have in couples therapy. Is it a money issue? No, it's a little more. More nuanced than that. Is it a. Is it an issue like she wants the vacation in Hawaii and you want to go to Mexico? No, it's just a different situation.
Jason
I'd be doing the craziest threesome with my roomba.
Adam Carolla
Oh, my God. We got a video of this. I don't think it's the one I saw, but we'll. We'll see. Oh, yeah. Oh, they blew up one guy.
Jason
This is gnarly. This is what's going on right now.
Adam Carolla
They're just blowing up people. Drones. But no, they're just not.
Jason
Apparently that last one, he headbutted the drone.
Adam Carolla
Oh, he headbutted? No, no, but I would have said headbutted the drone if that was the.
Jason
Oh, no, no. This is another video.
Adam Carolla
All right, but what I'm saying is this is two guys and they're swinging, and the guy hits it with a. With a rifle, so. And it's its own clip, so you'll. You'll find it somewhere else because I don't want to see. You can find the video. I'm looking for Emmy, and you can pause this one. Well, there's also budget fireworks taped to a drone, which we have vids of, too, so I want to know what that looks like. But, yeah, my whole thing with the sex robot is I didn't really contemplate the sex robot having an affair with the old lady with the Strap on.
Rampage Jackson
I think about stuff like that because.
Adam Carolla
Well, you have to.
Rampage Jackson
You have to, because by the time I get married again, you know, robots already coming out and stuff, and, you know, I don't. What if I walk in on my wife getting by my robot? Well, look, I'm a cuss Elon, musk ass out.
Adam Carolla
Either the robot's going to your wife or try to kill you. That's what we've established. Because it's either porn or death, right? That's what we do with technology. All right, this is a vid of a fireworks drone.
Jason
Sick. See, it's easy. Guys, not. This is what I was thinking of.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, he's. Oh, he's got. What do they call those?
Jason
Quadcopter.
Adam Carolla
No, I'm talking about the fire.
Rampage Jackson
I forgot what you called it. The Roman sticks.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah, you can rock back and forth. Oh, yeah. Oh, it's on.
Rampage Jackson
It's on.
Adam Carolla
But how do you light them? You still got to light them on the. I'm about to light them on the.
Jason
I'll get right in the face of that thing.
Rampage Jackson
I'm.
Adam Carolla
But that's not one of one operating. I mean, one firing. There must be the nighttime version of this where they fire the. Oh, this is the vid I'm talking about. Yeah. Two dudes. Drone. They're shooting at the drone.
Rampage Jackson
Oh, he's trying to get him to shoot his friend. He's trying to get friendly fire.
Adam Carolla
The drone is circling around these guys. I don't know why we need to add dramatic music to everything. This is dramatic enough. The drone is buzzing them. They're shooting at the drone. Wow.
Rampage Jackson
Oh, you think he still got hurt from that?
Jason
Yeah, for sure.
Adam Carolla
I would argue at least a little concussive whatever from his. From his ear. That was crazy, right? Yes. He threw his rifle, hit the thing. Wow.
Jason
But he saved his life, like he really did, because that thing was going to explode right on him.
Adam Carolla
Now, it's got to be funny, because the dude blew it up, threw his rifle out, got a little shrapnel in the shoulder, and he's deaf in one ear. But I guarantee, some point, six months from now, those two dudes are sitting at a bar, and the check comes, and the guy threw the rifle, looks at the other guy and goes, you're gonna pick this up. We can split it. We can split it. Yeah. Just two checks. I had one Heineken, you had two Heineken, so let's. And it's like, dude, I threw my gun. I saved you.
Rampage Jackson
I saved your ass, bro.
Adam Carolla
So, yeah, maybe vid of the homemade street. The homemade one, because what we just looked at was the Roman candle, whatever that shoots the fireballs light put on the thing and you could rock it back and forth. But now someone's gonna have to light it and get it airborne.
Rampage Jackson
But who's gonna do that? Because it's gonna fuck up your drone, though. Your drone gonna look stupid and have burn marks and stuff on it.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, but drones are, like, disposable now. Like, they don't really even cost anything anymore. It's. It's. It's nuts. It's also crazy what they get when they put the cameras on it. Like, I was watching the F1 race out of Vegas and they did the drone, you know, and they brought it down over, you know, and it was 20ft off the ground and all the cars were going under it. Like shots you could never get. You couldn't get it with a helicopter back in the day. It was crazy.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, I remember that.
Adam Carolla
All right, should we take a break and do a little news over here?

Rampage Jackson and Mayhem Miller, Two of the. Two of the most pedestrian last names with the greatest first names put together, I should say. There's a F3 energy drink. I was just talking about F1. That's Rampage's company. And where do we go to sample this energy drink?
Rampage Jackson
Well, you can go to f3energy.com and Amazon should have some more left in stock.
Adam Carolla
What's good about it?
Rampage Jackson
Well, the best thing about this energy drink is a healthier version for energy. And the. The caffeine is made from green tea extract so you don't get all jittery and stuff like that. And it tastes. For a healthy drink, it tastes good.
Adam Carolla
I had some of Mayhem's Manuka Honey yesterday, by the way. So we got all kinds of stuff going on in this room. So go to f3energy.com or Amazon.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, or Amazon.
Adam Carolla
All right, we got some news.
Jason
Got some news. Conor McGregor breaks the silence after a sexual assault trial. Lost. He says I should have shut the party down. Yeah, it's a wild one if you've been following this. Conor McGregor, he lost this case on Friday. Found liable after a jury in Dublin, Ireland, determined he sexually assaulted Nikita Hand in a hotel penthouse over the a night of heavy partying. The long and short of it is everybody was doing drugs and getting wasted and, yeah, she did not like what happened at that party. And even though there was no criminal culpability, there was a civil case and he got found liable and they awarded hand $257,000 for this.
Adam Carolla
That's not a lot by these kinds of standards, you know what I mean? Yeah, that just doesn't feel like that much.
Jason
He expressed regret, but not to the victim, to his wife. He, like six years ago, should have never responded to the outreaches. I should have shut the party down. I should have never stepped out on the woman I love most in the world. That's on me. As much as I regret, everything that happened that night was consensual. He. He says, and all witnesses present swore to that under oath. I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision. Can't go back, and I'll move forward. I am beyond Grateful to my family, friends and supporters all over the world who have stayed by my side. That's it. No more getting back to the gym. The fight game awaits.
Adam Carolla
What do you guys think? Like on one hand, women do not like it when the guy steps out. Right?
Rampage Jackson
Right.
Adam Carolla
But they're more tolerant of it from a societal standpoint. Like for instance, we do have a little bit of a double standard. Nobody likes to think about their woman with another man. Women historically are sort of can look the other way, you know, the physical part isn't what it is for us. Right, right. So you don't like it, but you can kind of get your mind around it. The phys, someone's being physical with your man and man's being physical with someone else. But in return you're probably going to get your way for the next five years. You know what I mean?
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. Shopping, streets, depending on how successful your man is. But this was, this is my little on, this is my little.
Adam Carolla
But I'm saying even the little stuff like you go, she goes, let's go out to dinner tonight. I'm in the mood for Mexican. And you go, I was kind of thinking about Italian. And they go, really, really want to start arguing about something from a drone attack. Yeah, let's do Mexican. You're right, hon, let's do Mexican. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're. It is, you're going to get your way for I would say two to seven years. Right?
Jason
He has a good point.
Adam Carolla
And all your guy did was some chick one night, he don't even remember it. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's pretty good. That's a good trade off.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, he has, he has a point. But, but what he said is women a little bit, they look the way, they look the other way more than men. So hear me out, Think about it. Most relationships, who's, who's like doing most of the providing. The man. Right. And you know, he's doing most of the providing. Say even if you go 50, 50, a lot of women don't like going 50, 50. So say you in a relationship with your wife and you paying all the bills and you doing something, excuse me, and she go smash somebody else.
Jason
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
So that's why it, it's kind of, it look, it's very frowned upon.
Jason
But just society wise, like if your girl steps out, there's a weird thing where like you like, I don't know, want to cut her off like that. But the other way they can kind of, you know, they look that way.
Rampage Jackson
A Lot of time because like, they be like, oh, now I gotta go find another man that's gonna provide and take care of me, blah, blah, blah, you know, I'm, I'm gonna start all over. A lot of women know that. No. And he might cheat on me as well, so I might as well stay here to father my kids. But when a woman cheat on a man, first thing I'm thinking, like, how can she do that? I took care of her. I pay for everything. You know what I'm saying? That's why, that's, I think that's the difference there.
Adam Carolla
I think what we've all determined is it's kind of okay for us to cheat. It's a real problem if they starts fucking stepping out on. Is that what we.
John Clay Wolf
Can.
Adam Carolla
We agree on that. Let's take a vote. Just left hand Joe. Okay. Yeah. All right, it's settled. It's settled. We've arrived at a conclusion.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, because. Because, because if you step out of your woman golfing bed, you get another woman pregnant. That baby is going to stay over there, you're going to take care of it. But it's not in your house. But your wife or your woman, y'all live together, she steps out on you and she gets pregnant. Now you raising another man's child, you know, he's living in your house. And that's, that's what the big thing is. That's where the double standard come in. Like, yeah, okay, you, you cheated. But now I ain't going to raise this baby.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
Am I wrong? Am I wrong?
Jason
You took it to him.
Adam Carolla
Let's take a vote.
Rampage Jackson
No.
Adam Carolla
Rampage. Wrong.
Rampage Jackson
No, no, we don't say no, thank you.
Adam Carolla
Everyone says no.
Rampage Jackson
We're talking about.
Adam Carolla
All right, what else we got?
Jason
Hey, look, latest.
Adam Carolla
Also listen, you marry a, you marry a guy who. And that's covers you guys. Mixed martial arts guy makes his living in a cage, you know, multimillionaire. And Connors situation for sure. There's things that come along with that you could marry a guy, drives a UPS truck.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, you could.
Adam Carolla
But other things, not so many perks. Right? You know what I mean? And also when the rich guy gets caught cheating, you can go on a shopping spree.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, right.
Adam Carolla
If my, if my mom caught my dad cheating, she still couldn't go on a shopping spree because you don't have any fucking money. You know what I mean? Maybe Walmart, just go to Walmart. Go to the kids section get shelf for something under $9. There's nothing to get. So at Least when the rich guy gets caught, you can go out and spend. All right.
Jason
Hey, a grandma 12 breaks the world record by doing 1,575 push ups in an hour.
Adam Carolla
Wow, that's a lot.
Jason
Had to fight back. Happy tears. Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
How was the grandma?
Jason
Canadian grandmother, Donna Jean? Wild. Is she doing 59?
Adam Carolla
She looks like she could do some pushups.
Jason
She definitely looks like cross chicken.
Adam Carolla
Is she doing girl push ups or regular push ups?
Jason
Regular pushups.
Adam Carolla
Regular pushups.
Jason
Breaking the plane, 90 degrees. There you go.
Rampage Jackson
Wow.
Jason
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
My message is to be a believer.
Jason
Choose to believe in yourself and others. Plan to attack each day and to.
Rampage Jackson
Be on the offensive side of the game. Make time to do the things that.
Jason
You love so you can make things.
Adam Carolla
Happen and write your own story.
Rampage Jackson
I like to make things happen with that granny.
Jason
Yeah. I would never cheat on this granny.
Rampage Jackson
I would never cheat on that granny.
Adam Carolla
She sounded like Kamala Harris there. Make time to take time to believe and achieve. You got to believe in yourself. You have to believe in others and believe, and people haven't been born yet. Okay, listen, first off, you're supposed to do the things you love. I hate doing push ups. Push ups are. I. There's certain things I just hate. And push ups are. They're. They're hateful. Right. They just kind of.
Rampage Jackson
They do suck, though.
Adam Carolla
They suck. So doing what I love would not be a pushup. It would be eating pizza and watching TV for countless hours and drinking beer. So if I chased my love, it would be the opposite of a pushup. Number one. Number two, she got to go down a little further. She's a little high on that pushup. Now. I don't know that your nose needs to touch the carpet, but you got to have. If we're going to do this as an official record, you guys tell me you've been in the gym a lot. I've been in the gym a lot, too. We need to have, like, a foam brick that is 4 inches off the ground. It's a regulated thing. You put it down and your nose must make contact with it in order to count as official push up. Because otherwise, if she's going down and her granny nose is 10 inches above the ground. Is that an actual pushup?
Rampage Jackson
He has a point, you guys.
Adam Carolla
If you guys. You guys have had some hard ass coaches, right?
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
They would be standing next to you, going all the way down. All the way.
Rampage Jackson
Right, right. He has a point.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
All right, good posture. But come on, really?
Jason
You're going to take this away from her? Are you going to slap her Guinness record right out of her hands?
Adam Carolla
No, I'm going to say in one hour instead of 1,500 and change, she'd be like 1100 and change. If she did that, the motion of the next five to seven inches down and then, and then up again, it would, it would affect the record. That's all.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, I agree with him. Who, who's, who's standing there regulating that, you know, saying like, hey, go down.
Jason
I think it was Guinness himself. Was there.
Rampage Jackson
Oh, okay.
Adam Carolla
We have, we have the homemade fireworks drone.
Jason
Hell yeah.
Adam Carolla
We have that clip, which is important for me. Me. Yeah. Oh, it is so on now. Wow.
Jason
Nice.
Adam Carolla
So that guy fired, fired it on the ground. Oh, yeah.
Jason
It's kind of just pissing, though.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. It's not firing like it should fire.
Jason
No, because they're not. That's not the Tijuana fireworks. That's some local fireworks.
Adam Carolla
Tijuana. You can go to Tijuana and buy enough to blow up a federal building. They do not cap anything. You can get M2 hundreds, M80s. This guy just fired a bottle rocket from his cool. From his drone.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. How you do that? It was already in the sky. This is.
Jason
Here we go. This is, this looks heavy duty.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, but how do they stick to light them on the ground? Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
Ow.
Adam Carolla
All right.
F
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
I do love when people themselves up with fireworks. This guy lit it on the ground.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Oh, what? Oh, he's going over a, a fountain or piccolo pe. I don't know. What was the best? The flower.
Rampage Jackson
The flower?
Adam Carolla
Yeah, the flower. When you, you can stop it that. When the day I found out a flower still burned if you threw it in a swimming pool. That's the day I came alive. Man. That flowers are still go.
Rampage Jackson
I didn't notice that.
Adam Carolla
Oh, yeah, I'm pretty sure. You guys ever thrown?
Jason
Yeah. Once the reaction starts that it doesn't need oxygen to, to keep going. Yeah.
Adam Carolla
You can throw it in a lake and it'll still be going.
Rampage Jackson
I had no idea. I stopped dealing with fireworks once I moved to California. I, I, it's not the same like back, back home.
Adam Carolla
I know.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, they restrict a lot. It's like a lot of there would.
Adam Carolla
Be firework stands when you, where you're from, Ryan.
Rampage Jackson
Well, we had to go right across the bridge to Arkansas, but to get them. But it was good fireworks here. You can't have firecrackers. You can't have.
Jason
Well, I mean, you think about it. It never rains here, so everything is just dry kindling. It's like, ready to go. The whole place was set on fire.
Adam Carolla
With the five dollar meal deal at McDonald's. You pick a McDouble, or a McChicken, then get a small fry, a small drink, and a four piece McNuggets. That's a lot of McDonald's for not a lot of money. Price of participation may vary.
F
For a limited time only.
Jason
If you could hear love, what would it sound like?
Rampage Jackson
Son, can we talk about your drinking? Yeah, Dad, I think we should.
Jason
Helping those closest to you think about their excessive drink. Maybe that's what love sounds like. More@rethinkthedrink.com an OHA initiative.
Adam Carolla
All right, hold on. Put something on me. Dr. Drew, you have something to say?
F
I do.
Adam Carolla
I just wanted to.
Rampage Jackson
I just wanted to.
Jason
I'm sorry to interrupt the conversation, but I just want.
Adam Carolla
We're talking about drones. The spider. Be good. But I. I want to express that I've seen Mayhem's performance here lately, and I've been so delighted to have him.
Jason
But I've been feeling, like, weirdly jealous.
Adam Carolla
He's my friend. He's not your friend.
Jason
He's my friend.
Adam Carolla
Understand? This guy belongs to me.
Jason
You get it?
Adam Carolla
All right, Drew, did you need to interrupt our hot firework talk for that? I needed to. I just felt I had to get in here on this, so. Everyone loves Mayhem. All right.
Jason
God bless.
Adam Carolla
You got a couple more stories here. Don't worry.
Jason
I got the love. Like guys fighting over me.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, he's right.
Jason
Hey, next up, a Florida deputy who used a taser on suspect pumping gas burning 75% of his body is cleared of criminal charges. Yeah, he got found not guilty.
Adam Carolla
I heard about this.
Jason
This is a crazy one. Yeah. Oh, here we go. I didn't even get to see this video. Please play the video.
Adam Carolla
The guy's pumping gas. Yeah, he's pumping gas and the cop tases him.
Jason
Yeah, so they gave him, like, a rougher rest, knocked his bike over. There's gas flowing all over the place. The deputy said, turn the gas pump off. But look, he's all covered in gas. Right? Tased them. Man, that was crazy.
Rampage Jackson
It is.
Jason
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
What was the guy doing stealing gas? Why they. Why they talking at the gas pump?
Jason
He was alleged doing wheelies and running red lights on the bike. And then, yeah, they freaking set him on fire.
Adam Carolla
Oh, wow.
Rampage Jackson
But.
Jason
But the jury found him not guilty. So it was a strange thing where. Because I guess it was blurry. I didn't see the whole trial, but. But it was kind of blurry. That who fired the Taser? The prosecutors in the case said that Crawford, this cop, raised the Taser, fired the weapon, ignited him. But I guess his defense was that he didn't even set the Taser on him. It just. He threw the Taser to the side.
Adam Carolla
Oh, and it went off.
Jason
And it went off. Yeah, yeah, he tossed it. He said that it, you know, he was asked that if you remember the Taser going off in his hand or after he tossed it. The deputy simply replied, I have no memory of turning the safety off. So during this scuffle, his Taser flew to the side and lit the whole place on fire.
Adam Carolla
Well, he turned the safety off because he was gonna use it.
Jason
Yes.
Adam Carolla
And then who knows what? I don't know. Does this fall under act of God when like, shit's like, almost like getting hit by lightning?
Jason
I don't think so. I mean, because if you mix gas and a Taser, I mean, that's a recipe for disaster. And God, I didn't have nothing to do with it. I think it was the police that had something to do with it.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Jason
So he got found not guilty, but there's still going to be a civil trial. The guy got third degree burns over 75% of his body, $7 million of medical expenses.
Adam Carolla
Wow.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah, he still can suit. All right.
Jason
Yeah. But yeah, he almost killed this guy, setting him on fire, you know.
Adam Carolla
So the guy was on a dirt bike doing wheelies and Brod and.
Jason
Exactly one of those things. I think there was a bunch of kids out there getting wild on the bikes. And yeah, this frickin thing happened. It's a nightmare.
Rampage Jackson
So he's in trouble for having fun?
Jason
Kind of. Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Well, you ever see that, Doc? 12 o'clock boys is really good. It's Baltimore inner city. All the guys who ride all the dirt bikes that do the street takeovers, cops can't really do anything because if the cops chase them, then they get into an accident, then they blame the cops for chasing the them. But I've seen it in Chicago, I've seen it in San Francisco, I've seen it in Malibu on PCH. I've seen whole gangs of minibike riders. Like 75 guys on minibikes. It's like a mini bike takeover. It basically is a signal, like the street takeover, that we're just lawless now. We're just doing what we want. So it's like the smash and grab. Like back in the day, I used to shoplift. I knew people who shoplift. Everyone shoplifted, but we didn't do it out in the open. I didn't show up with a duffel bag and calmly walk from one aisle to the next just filling stuff up and walking past the security guard on my way out. You had to stuff shit in your pants, put stuff under your hat. You know what I mean? You had to shoplift. There was old technique to it. You didn't walk out in front of everybody.
Jason
You're sad for the sun. Self respecting criminal. You have to like go through the motion instead of just smash and grab.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, there was, there was a majesty and a finesse and a dignity. When I used to steal whole turkey legs from the back of the gelsons in the deli. You'd get the whole turkey leg in the back and then you'd pay for it in the front. Well, I'd have an army jacket, you know, and I'd get the whole thing.
Jason
This guy's walking out with a jacket full of chicken legs.
Adam Carolla
Being attacked birds. When I'm walking through the parking lot, I had to pretend like I was there looking price and trade. How much are these triskets? You know, I didn't just hold the turkey leg over my head and go fucking walk out the front door telling everyone to pull me.
Jason
The problem's not so much with the criminality, it's with the wanton recklessness.
Adam Carolla
There is no respect for what we used to have to go for. I had a hat. I used to put the candy bar in my hat and then put the hat on and walk out of the 7:11. I didn't just hold a handful of and go walking out in front of the guy.
Rampage Jackson
But there wasn't as many cameras back then for you right now they don't care. They just. Cause, you know. But back then you had to. You could do that. But now the cameras would catch you.
Adam Carolla
In 12 o'clock boys. These guys in Baltimore, it's a good doc. The cops roll up at a certain point. The guys are on their 250 Hondas, 125 Yamaha's doing wheelies around the cop car. And then at some point they dip in and start kicking in the side of the door of the cop car. And it's like, listen, when the cops show up, you supposed to run.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Not do wheelies around them and kicking the door. It's fucking nuts.
Rampage Jackson
What do you think's changed? What makes people like that now?
Adam Carolla
We have basically said a couple things. The cops cannot put their hands on you. The cop we're going to sue the copy cops there. What in this dock. There was one instance where a cop chased one of the guys. And one of the guys was like a less experienced 12 o'clock boy. And he was on first off the motorcycle they stole. It's not like they went down to the Honda dealership and bought that they stole the motorcycle. They're doing wheelies. They're on four wheelers and quads and three wheelers just taking over the whole town. Town. But at some point, the cop chased a less experienced guy who's up on the sidewalk, cutting through the alley, jumping, going through the intersection. And at some point, a car backs out, he clips the car and the guy dies. The whole city turns on the cop.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
And they're like, they want. They're riding in the street, they want the cops badge and all that kind of. And it's like, all right, well, now we know who's in charge and it ain't the cops. The cops are going to get into trouble if they do anything. I mean, first it starts with bad politicians and bad DAs and bad everything. And then at some point, cops don't even want to get out of their car anymore. Why would you, you know, why would you even try at this point? Yeah, it's not even worth it. Just stay in your car. So anyway, here we are. Lawless Sodom and Gomorrah street takeovers. I think I got. I'm trying to break it down by race. I think we got the street takeover. Brody and the intersection guys. Those are the Hispanic guys in la, right?
Jason
It does look pretty fun.
Adam Carolla
It does look fun. The mini bike guys are the Hispanic guys, are they?
Jason
Yeah, weirdly, ATV and dirt bike dudes.
Adam Carolla
Those are black guys. Those are black guys. Whitey. I think we got some outliers. Trucks, trucks.
Jason
We like to take the trucks and we like go. And we'll just go and mud around the local.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, yeah, that's fine. Yeah, yeah.
Rampage Jackson
But that's not causing any trouble.
Jason
I mean, a lot of this, like a lot of the trouble gets caught. I think the defense to that whole thing is that, okay, these guys are doing burnouts and taking over the intersection, whatever. They're not really hurting much. Maybe they'll hurt each other. They're blocking traffic. Okay.
Rampage Jackson
I got caught in that one time.
Jason
It's annoying.
Rampage Jackson
It's annoying to be on the other end. Yeah, sucks.
Jason
Yeah. But like, the cops rev it up so that it's now. It's a kind of dangerous situation to. Now it's life or death.
Rampage Jackson
No, it is dangerous, though, man. Have you seen them Those guys doing the donuts and the fat girl out there trying to.
Jason
Yeah.
Rampage Jackson
Videotape. How come the fat girl always gets smacked, man?
Jason
Poor girl. Because she's got the.
Adam Carolla
She got the push, but she can take a bumper. You know what I mean? Waif model. Can't. Cannot take a bumper.
Jason
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Fat chick can take a bumper. Bounce right off. Yeah. No harm, no foul. Now a little more damage to the car. Oh, yeah, that's an issue.
Jason
That's offender.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. It is. It is nuts. It is the beginning. I. But it. But it's the beginning of the end is the way is the way I look at it. One more Drones will take care of it.
Jason
Corey Holme, he's not sorry for only dating women in poverty. They're practical people.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Who's Corey Holme?
Jason
I guess the comedian. I thought he. You know, he does this thing that his joke was. I mean, I guess it's not a joke because he's on there with TMZ.
Adam Carolla
Talking about, why is everyone pissed at everything all the time? Like.
Jason
I know. Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Dating. First off, you should date poor people. They get to go out to a nice meal.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
On occasion. You know, and get some stuff that they don't normally get.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah. Stay in a nice hotel when you travel. You know, make them feel. Make them feel good.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. And also, you know, they probably appreciate it a little more.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
And be a little more, you know, thankful.
Rampage Jackson
I'll tell you what. My first time, taking my cousin to Hawaii, I don't know if you ever met him. You know, he's from Memphis. I grew up with him. He'd never been anywhere. His name was Montana. I don't know if you ever met him. Oh, I remember I took him to. I took him to Hawaii for the first time, and, you know, we went out nightlife, eating. He'd never done anything. Went on the ocean ride, jet skis and stuff like that. But he chose to meet a homeless girl and bring her home to the hotel and give her a bath and have sex with her. That's what he chose.
Adam Carolla
That's what he chose.
Rampage Jackson
He chose the homeless girl. And I was against it, but he was like. He told me. He was like. Cause she needed some food. I ordered her some room service. I gave her a bath. And she was beautiful up under all that dirt, and she was very happy and that. I did this for her. Then I the out of her.
Adam Carolla
Wow.
Jason
Bless her heart.
Adam Carolla
That's quite a bonding experience you had. Yeah, he's wonderful. He was.
Rampage Jackson
He thought he did a really good.
Adam Carolla
Deed or he just wanted to get laid for free. I paid for the food, the room.
Rampage Jackson
Service and all that.

Disgusting, but there is one dish made.
Adam Carolla
With raisins that you would love.
Jason
Cuban beef stew.
Rampage Jackson
It's got all the beef and potatoes and the things we love about stew.
Jason
But there's a few raisins in there for sweetness.
Adam Carolla
They kind of just take on the flavor of everything else, so you don't.

Yeah, can't go wrong with Cuban food. John Clay Wolf is in studio. His podcast, the John Clay Wolf Show. It's available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple, podcasts, more. John Clay is a car guy. Deals with a lot of cars, sells a lot of cars. All kinds of cars, right?
F
All kinds of cars.
Adam Carolla
From exotics to camrys. Right.
F
To $500 junkers that we have copart pick up in their front yard and take them to the junk sale.
Adam Carolla
John and I went in on a Newman Ferrari 308, which was a really cool piece. Along with the transport. We've talked about the car a little bit. Bits. Got some history with Clint Eastwood and James Brolin and. Oh, God, who else is on that car?
F
Gene Hackman.
Adam Carolla
Gene Hackman, yeah. Really interesting. You know, I don't know, back in the day where if you were a celebrity, you could just go do fun shit and not worry about getting sued. You know, you could, like, hang out and drink and slap people on the ass and laugh it up. And smoke a cigar inside a restaurant. Sure. And old broad. Yep. Maybe. Maybe imbibe a little too much and have a cop give you an escort home. So they wanted to just go racing and, like, have a good time. So these guys all got together and Newman got a Ferrari to get them a car and they went racing.
F
Yeah. And we bought a good one. I wish I wasn't so fat I could fit in it. We gotta get a larger seat for either one of you or I to drive this thing.
Adam Carolla
Race car seat seats are humbling quickly. They're very humbling because they're very high on the side. They're very stiff. They just have like an aluminum shell and they're very compact. And guys like Newman were people that I don't think really knew it. Were kind of miniature guys. I mean, 155, 160 pound guys. And so when you climb into one of his race cars, which I definitely have done ahead half dozen. I mean, I've raced a ton of his cars. The first thing you feel is the seat. And you always need to. You always need to diet before you go on a go on a race.
F
Speaking of, you know, I came in from Texas last night and I stopped in Tulsa. On my way, I got a. And I get these calls, the SOS calls. Hey, this guy has a collection, he wants to sell it right now. His financial position has changed and there's a problem. It's one of the better ones I've ever collection. Yeah, I mean, he had. He's got a 63 split window Z06 with a large tank. 150.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
F
He's got the third oldest 53 Corvette. Do you already know this collection?
Adam Carolla
No, I'm not. I like scaring me. No. See, my thing with Corvettes is I like them. I don't love them. They're kind of interesting, the early cars, you know, we're, you know, interesting fiberglass shape. Pete Brock, who's still alive and kicking, worked on that split window. If you could imagine. I mean, the guy who helped design the split window Corvette is still living in Henderson right now. Lucid, sweet, like a cool guy. I just sent him a picture. I think, Emmy, you can get it from Kyle. But I drove. Well, you know, you're down at Laguna Seca this year. The first car that he built for his race team was a Datson 2000 roadster. And I just drove it last year at Laguna Seca or this year at Laguna Seca. And there was a. Someone took a great picture of it with me and an Alpha Z, which is a weird Alpha car you've never really seen on the street. And I just said sent it to Pete. Cause I thought he'd get a kick out of it. But yeah, you have people who want to sell collections. Where are people at? Are they usually pie in the sky and you have to talk them down.
F
If you go to Barrett, right, And you buy it and then plus the juice or you go to Concourse, plus.
Adam Carolla
The vig, the 10% or whatever.
F
So everybody's buried in their stuff, right? And this is the phone call that was interesting because it's a now phone call. Like I've got to sell this now to the high bidder. I don't want to publicize the fact that I'm having to do this to be careful. Obviously I won't say his name, but Smoking the Bandit collection. Smoking the Bandit Jeep. Smoking the bandit truck 800 mile 77. Smoking the bandit car. Smoking the Bandit new body haul rig with a reefer so they could be air conditioned while they're back there loading cars with the Smokey and the Bandit. I mean, this guy spends gazillions and gazillion people have too much money.
Adam Carolla
He's got the Trans Am, Smoking the.
F
Jeep and a truck. And in the 2010 Camaro SS that was converted to a smokey in the bandicore, he just. It's weird how much. Anytime you think that you've made some money.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
F
Go visit some of these people because it'll quickly humble your ass.
Adam Carolla
Well, I live in Malibu now. And when I walk down pch, I walk past new, new construction that they just finished for like 130 million bucks for that house. I'll show you this picture which is really cool. Which is. It's me in the 2000 Roadster and an Alpha Z, which is a kind of weird, crazy Alpha that nobody, nobody knows about. I don't remember being this close to this guy on this. Looks pretty close, but it was, it was close. But it's a beautiful car. And I, I sent it to Pete, who invented the split window. And. And many other people cut that split.
F
Window out that pillow. Or a few years later, they'd go to body shops and have them clip.
Adam Carolla
Them out back in the day because.
F
The reason they quit making the split windows, people didn't like them.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. And now. But I, you know, we've seen it with cars. We've seen it with architecture, we've seen it with women's fashion. It just comes around.
Jason
Sure.
Adam Carolla
You go, oh, you know, I. The stories that are the most insane are like speaking of Pete Brock, he invented the Daytona. Shelby Daytona. And for those who may not know, in the movie Ford v Ferrari, whenever they would go to the Shelby headquarters, especially in. At the airport, but also in Venice Beach, California, off to the side sort of set dressing. You would see this ribbed buck of a car. It was like plywood cut out in the shape of the car. A buck like the Porsche you see.
F
At the Peter Peterson. Yeah, I've seen him.
Adam Carolla
So that. That was the car he was working on. It's. It's for you to shape the metal right over. It's the shape of the car and you got to stretch the metal over it. Anyway, that was. That was Brock's car. That car won the manufacturer factors championship in Europe. Blah blah blah. It came back. Shelby wanted to sell it to people in the. At the shop. He wanted like $4,000. Nobody would buy it. Nobody. It was like they, they would have to just get rid. It was. It's, you know, 30 million bucks today. It's nuts. It is nuts. But you are doing some really cool stuff with some six wheel cars as well. Which is very interesting because a lot of guys breathe on a lot of cars and do a lot of interesting metal work and it's really definitely a form of art. If you get up and you really take a look at like what the ring brothers are doing and some of these other cars. But the six by that I've. That I don't see that people are doing.
F
So that is the Ferrari test. Rosa. That Rollins and I are having gas monkey.
Adam Carolla
Richard Rollins? Yeah.
F
Danton motorsports or no Danton something Danton Arts out of Paris is. Are the builders. And it's interesting on this one what we decided to do. Richard and I were going to partner it. We were going to fund. Danton was going to build the rolling chassis, bring it down to gas monkey and the gimme the VIN guys and the gas monkey guys were going to do a collab and finish it.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
F
I haven't told you this part. I didn't talk to you in a while. So it gets down to gas monkey and huge difference of an opinion of finish. The artists from France wanted it this way.
Adam Carolla
Like you're talking about color or talking.
F
About shape, finish, fit, interior.
Adam Carolla
So it's like a mid-80s, early-80s Ferrari Testarossa.
F
Correct.
Adam Carolla
Okay. So just so people know, the Ferrari Testarossa is a mid engine, flat 12 car that had the cheese grater. Miami Vice, second gen made it famous. But not the most desirable or expensive of the. Of the Ferraris. Of the vintage Ferraris. You can get one and cut it up and not be cutting into a million dollars vehicle.
F
Oh yeah. We're sitting there at a table trying to renegotiate how this is going to go down. And.
Adam Carolla
And it's got two rear wheels that you and Richard.
F
No, he and them. And I finally said, guys, listen, because there. It's broken English. There's a translation problem.
Adam Carolla
I'm like, because their guy's French, right?
F
You respect this fella so much. You love Richard. Like Richard's a worldwide celebrity in the space. I said you literally have his logo tattooed on your ass.
Adam Carolla
Really?
F
They put gas monkey logos on their asses at barrett last year. And I can get you a photo of that. And I was like, for you to go that far with your love of this man, don't you think you should listen to him a little bit?
Adam Carolla
Well, maybe I can solve the conundrum. What was the problem? So it's a beautiful. It's a beautiful looking car. It's, you know, in. In the ferrari world, it's not the top of the heap, but it's got a good wedge shape to it. And it's an interesting piece. And the double rear wheels Seems bizarre, but it works.
F
We raped and molested it already. We.
Adam Carolla
The two wheels work, and we put.
F
A K Tech 1300 horsepower ls whatever in it. And it does. It's looking great. They're very industrial building. If you look at the hummer that sold for much. If you look at some of their other work, they have an industrial line to them. And Richard is like, I've done ferraris. Ferrari's not going to be in a matte red finish.
Adam Carolla
Oh, they want to do it matte. Oh, God, no, no, no, no.
F
Lots of cussing in french.
Adam Carolla
So here's the deal. I was yelling at the TV set all weekend because all the NFL teams have gone to the mat, sat, and finish on the helmet. Maybe it's for tv. I don't know. I don't fucking like it. When I was a kid, I loved the minnesota vikings helmet. It was shiny. And it was weird when they switched a videotape. I don't know if anyone's old enough to remember this, but at some point, they switched to videotape. And when, like, fran tarkington would walk around, you, would see a weird ghost trail come off of the weird horn emblem that almost look. It was like you took mushrooms, right? And we're seeing something because it was glossy. And I don't think they could deal with it on the video tape back then. But I do not like the matte finish on a football helmet. I don't like a matte finish on a rolls royce. It's called a shiny new car.
F
And he doesn't finish for a ferrari. And then they wanted to do alligator seats from some famous french designer that we're going to call. So we settled with you. Take the car back to milwaukee. You finish it.
Adam Carolla
What did. All right.
F
He said, I'm not going to do this, Richard. Yeah. I was the step parent between the two.
Adam Carolla
All right, let's figure this out. Okay, It's a Ferrari. And it's an exotic that you guys are doing something stupendous to, which is giving it two driven.
F
Driven from an Audi R8 rear wheels.
Adam Carolla
Right. Audi 4 by all wheel drive, whatever.
F
All right.
Adam Carolla
It's all good. Now here's my take on it. If you go that exotic on a car, then you finish it in a much more traditional way. Because you already have the exotic part taken care of in spades. You know, it doesn't need to be red, but the more traditional you can go with the finish.
F
Since we went so far to the.
Adam Carolla
Extreme on the other side, you gotta bring it. You gotta bring it back in satin it. And now you're just getting into sort of weird, you know, paint my rise culture.
F
Right, right, right. So. So really, it's like, why don't you go ahead and build another one? We'll just do two. We can do one your way and one our way.
Adam Carolla
I'm telling you. Let me tell you. The best combo for a car, okay? All tradition aside, Midnight blue with a red interior looks killer. White with a navy blue interior looks killer as well. And, you know, white with the, like, ox blood red interior looks pretty good.
F
Silver does too. With ox blood red.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, that looks. That looks good too. You see some 550 Ferraris that have that on it. But Richard's 100% right. Satin, get the out of town. And alligator. No, no, traditional. Maybe a little alcantara insert, you know, but keep it very, very.
F
But if you look at the Hummer that did so well, it was ridiculously military, but it was just like, I mean, industrial. He's like, well, that's a Hummer. It's not a frank. Anyway, we're working on it, you know, with any good art. There's some disagreements, so we will see what the finished product. We're trying to get it ready for Barrett this year. It missed sema. And.
Adam Carolla
I don't know, you know, you know, car. When you're working on a car for a show, it's kind of like a kid in college. You know, when they start off, you're like, he's going to Yale or mit. And then at some point, you're like, all right, listen, the UC system is good. It's good. He can go to. You can go to ucla. They can go to ucla. And at some point, you're like, cal State Northridge is a fine, fine university. There's no shame in going to Cal State. And then at some point, you get to just a couple of years at junior college before you can go to pierce and then he can transfer. You keep lowering with cars. You go, we're going to have it ready for sema. And then that comes and goes. And then Barrett Jackson, Amelia island is right around the corner. You just keep going because you can't get the fucking car ready for that. But how could you? There's so many literal moving pieces. You know.
Jason
If you could hear love.
Rampage Jackson

Adam Carolla
We were in John. John. Clay wolf is the guy. Mike and I were in his private jet.
F
Oh.
Adam Carolla
Trying to get from Vegas to Reno. Doing our thing there. Far as I could tell. We got halfway to Reno before the warning light came on the dash, Right?
F
Yeah. That was disappointing. We should have just kept going. But you guys, you had the balls to keep going. Mike. Mike was just trying to medicate himself so he didn't have to think about.
Adam Carolla
Well, my. Here's my argument. We're almost halfway to Reno, right? And this is my argument.
F
Your argument?
Adam Carolla
This is my argument in life. My argument in life is large. No, it's basically this argument. It's the no food or drink after midnight because you have oral surgery at 8 in the morning.
F
Okay?
Adam Carolla
And I go, okay. And then at some point I have oral surgery, but it's slated for 1pm and then I go, I'm allowed to have food after midnight. And then somebody goes, no food after midnight. And I go for an 8am but this is 1pm So I just bought myself five hours. So technically I could eat until 5am and everyone goes, no, because that's the rules. That's the rule now. Now, the rule is when the light goes off on the dash in the cockpit, you have to turn around and go to the nearest airport, right? We are almost halfway to Reno.
F
From Vegas.
Adam Carolla
From Vegas. The amount of time it takes to turn around and then go back to Vegas would be the exact same amount of time we were in the air to land in Reno, where we're going and then once we land in Vegas, we got nowhere way to get to Reno. And I gotta do a show that night. Night. But I've factored in the danger and.
F
We flew home that night with what? The light on at night when you.
Adam Carolla
Can'T see at night. I know, I know. So we did a long. It is. It is disconcerting to see the light that says turn around on the dash the whole time you're turning around. But I thought we could push through to Rainbow.
F
The problem was is we just had the motor swapped. There were some connections that were incorrect on the lining up to the gauges. And this light had been an issue. We were aware of it. The reality of it, it's a bleed air problem off of the jets for the cabin pressure. And the temperature is like 1800 degrees. If we had a problem, we would have known it. We would have been so hot.
Adam Carolla
What is the jet?
F
It's a Falcon 100.
Adam Carolla
And what's its speed?
F
Like 650 miles an hour.
Adam Carolla
So it's like a little jet that's faster.
F
Faster and faster.
Adam Carolla
And.
F
And it was the fastest private jet in the world until the citation 10 came out, which was, you know, 0.90 Mach. This one is like a 87 Mach.
Adam Carolla
Is it? What's the range on it?
F
In three and a half hours, you better start looking for a place to land.
Adam Carolla
Oh yeah.
F
So it's from Dallas, where I live. New York City, direct. LA direct. It takes 245 to get to LA. It takes 225 to get back.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. So it's kind of genius. You live in the middle. Middle. You buy an airplane that has the range of half the country plus. But you don't need to go further than in any direction. Like, could you make it to Oregon?
F
Yes.
Adam Carolla
There's no place you can't make it to.
F
Probably Maine or way up high. I mean, depending on the winds obviously.
Adam Carolla
But.
F
Yeah, no, no, you can hit all four corners from Dallas and that thing, it's super fast. It's not. Not. It takes two pilots, which is a pain in the ass. But I've been chasing cars my entire life with airplanes. Not my entire life, but I bought my first plane in 99. Oh, there you go. That's just like it. Bought my first plane in 99. And I would take a Beechcraft Bonanza and I would go regional to different auctions and my hustle was to go to these auctions that did not like Baton Rouge, Louisiana or Shreveport, Louisiana, Jackson, Mississippi, that did not have good commercial air Service, So the good buyers wouldn't make it in there. They would go to Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Pennsylvania. So I would go regionally and hop these little auctions gather up, bring them to the big auction and sell them for a profit.
Adam Carolla
Where are we at now in the used car world? And by the way, I do love the law fare, which is. I just heard that Gavin Newsom, who I really bitch you about the EV thing. I didn't think I could hate anyone more than Gavin Newsom, but I learned to hate the guy a little bit more every day. Every day. He hates Elon Musk now because Elon is Team Trump. And now he's going to take his EV mandates along with his incentives or something, but not apply it to the only EV maker, really, in California. And the guy's done more for EVs. I mean, all I'm saying is it's just really how we want to run our fucking government. You've decided you don't like this guy. You want. Here's the thing that's. I'll tell you the thing that's nuts about California and Gavin Newsom. You want people to buy an electric car. The most popular electric car is a Tesla, and people want a Tesla. But you will not offer the incentives that you offer to the other electric car companies to the car that people want, which is fucking insane. And I.
F
So did Elon cut his nuts off by saying, get rid of the incentives? I mean, think about that financially for him.
Adam Carolla
Elon has what we should all aspire to right now. All right? You start off, you want money. Then at a certain point, you want fuck you money. You've got fuck you money. I've got fuck you money. Fuck you money is like some employee quits and claims racial discrimination. And you were like, I never even talk to the guy. I didn't. What are you talking about? And then, then some lawyer goes, just give him 85k and this whole thing will go away. And you go, fuck that. And then they go, it's going to cost more if this thing goes to court. And you go, I don't care.
F
I'm in that situation right now.
Adam Carolla
Good. That guy's a liar. And this is why I have money.
F
Principal.
Adam Carolla
God, my.
F
Darn it.
Adam Carolla
That's. That's you money. Then there's Elon Musk. He has fuck money. Fuck me money. Fuck me money is when you can do something that would be financially devastating to you or I and not even care about it because you have so much money, you can fuck yourself.
F
Right?
Adam Carolla
See What I'm saying.
F
Sure. And there's just a handful of people like that.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. So California, how much Gavin Newsom have. He's probably got. Fuck me, he's got. Fuck California money.
F
You ever looked him up on. I mean, what do you think he might be worth? I have no idea.
Adam Carolla
These guys, all him and Nancy Pelosi, and they're all inexplicably rich, but there's some sort of avenue to someone in their family or something, but with a trust, they're just rich. I've said. I can't remember I was talking about on this show or not. But California wants something. They want you to get an electric car, but they don't want you to get the most popular electric car because they don't like the genius who makes the electric car because he voted for. For Trump. So there's that. They wanted me to get. I was hell bent on putting solar in my house in Los Angeles. Hell bent. Many years ago, they had a rule only in Los Angeles that there must be a shutoff switch on the outside of the front gate. Every other municipality, it's the actual panel where there's a cutoff switch, meaning if the fire department shows up and there's an issue, the fire department can go hit the panel and shut the solar breaker, whatever thing off. California required that it be outside of the front gate or Los Angeles did, which is unheard of. I said from the panel to the front gates, about 250ft. And you guys need a two foot deep trench going there.
F
30 grand is what bills.
Adam Carolla
I'm not doing right? I'm not doing it. They're like, fine. And I'm like, okay, well then no solar. And they're like, all right. And I'm like, all right, but you want me to get solar, but then you make it too difficult to get solar. Los Angeles wants to save water.
F
When are you going to stop bitching about California and move to Texas?
Adam Carolla
I'm getting in your plane. I mean, I'll be in it before you are.
F
Bitch and moan.
Adam Carolla
Moan, bitch.
F
I mean, God damn. I got rid of my. My ex old lady over this.
Rampage Jackson
Yeah.
F
And I want to be your friend, but you just got me. Stop bitching.
Adam Carolla
Do something.
F
Where are you going to move?
Adam Carolla
I'm moving to Nevada. I got land. I got land.
F
So where did all these people go that were going to leave the country? Did anybody do it? Is anybody actually going to do it?
Adam Carolla
We're Light2Lesbians. Who? Allen and Portia de Rossi.
F
They were already gone though, weren't they?
Adam Carolla
They probably bought some property, some acreage somewhere, somewhere out of Sussex or something and had a medium sized castle. And now they've just gone full, full time over there. No one else moves. They. They talk about moving, but they don't move. I'm going to Nevada. But here's a. Here's another. Here's some more bitching. Are you ready?
F
Yeah, I'm ready. Everybody sit down.
Jason
Get ready.
Adam Carolla
There is something that you got install in your club barn warehouse shop. It is something that I've been talking about thinking about for a million years, which is the sink that has the urinal attached to it. The urinals below the sink.
F
Okay.
Adam Carolla
Meaning you urinate and then you wash your hands and the water from the sink washes down the urine.
F
This makes sense. Have you patented this process yet?
Adam Carolla
I've been simply extolling the virtues of peeing in the sink for my entire career. But now somebody's made a peanut butter cup out of my two loves. Okay, so. And it's a way to save millions of gallons of water. Right? So we live in a drought area. California. They never stop beating you over the head with save water. Save water. Save water.
F
Oh, there she is.
Adam Carolla
There she is.
F
She's beautiful.
Adam Carolla
That's not the one I ordered. I ordered a small wall hung unit from Amazon. Now here's what I'm going to get to California. Every year just beats everyone over the head. Save water. And they say if you're hosing down your driveway, the neighbors should report you. You need to sweep your driveway. Don't wash your own car. Conserve, conserve, conserve water. This would be a very good way to conserve water. I ordered a unit of the sink urinal combination to be installed here. I was going to install it in the bathroom right here at this studio I went to Amazon. It says does not ship to California. I then said to my assistant, see if it ships to New York. Ships in New York, see if it ships anywhere else. Ships everywhere else. Not California. So California likes the idea of saving water, but they love regulation and that Trump thing.
F
I just imagine a drunk taking a shit in it.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, well, I'll probably christen mine after a few beers.
F
So we.
Adam Carolla
So I'm sending it to Rampage's dad, who's living.
Rampage Jackson
Oh.
Adam Carolla
And I said, rampage. Rampage is coming in. Sorry, I screwed. I screwed that up. Rampage Jackson is going to come. Mayhem Miller. I'm getting my UFC guys mix up. Mayhem Miller's dad lives in Nevada. I said, send it. He said, I'll send it to My dad. My dad will send it over here. But the idea that I have this Smokey and the Bandit bootleg a water saving device into California who never stops telling you to save water is fucking insane. So they want you to drive EVs, they want you to get solar, and they want you to save water. But they're going to make it super difficult to do any of those things because they have a love of regulation. Oh, that's mine. That's mine.
F
That's the one you have now?
Adam Carolla
Well, no, it's the one Mayhem Miller's dad has now. He's got to ship it to me.
F
I like the other one better.
Adam Carolla
The other one is twice the price.
F
But you're going to need. It's only for. Well and dead. I mean, if you're. If you're.
Adam Carolla
I don't.
F
You're short that.
Adam Carolla
See the other one.
F
You could spill a little.
Adam Carolla
The other one is too low. There's going to be a lot of collateral splatter. And also understand everybody, anytime anything physically touches the ground in a bathroom, you got a bad joint, right? You got like a pee pee joint there. You know, like when you see toilets in industrial applications that are hungry lung. I've done that. I've done bathrooms at my house where you hang the toilet. When you hang the toilet, then you can push the mop under the toilet. You got about 8 or 10 inches and it's easy to clean. When the thing hits the floor, you got that bad weird mildew brown line that's constantly there.
F
You gotta always have some piss particle in it.
Adam Carolla
Always piss, always piss particle, bad joint. This one's a little higher. You got to get under it. Everything in the bathroom, you want to hang. You want to hang the sink, you want to hang the urinal, you want to hang the toilet. If you can. You learning lessons, John?
F
I am, I am, I am.
Adam Carolla
So when is the six wheeler going to be ready?
F
The six wheeler is supposed to be ready for Barrett. So we actually put a timeline on Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale. December 3rd. They deliver every day after December 3rd. There's a $500. You like this? I'm getting better in my old age. $500 per day fee at somewhere like three weeks after December 3rd. We have an option to write them a check for X and they're out of it. And when I set up those.
Adam Carolla
What's that mean? They're out of it.
F
Okay, so we're partners on it, their labor. Partners on it, their labor in our.
Adam Carolla
Money on selling the card auction.
F
Yeah. So, so we, we, we are. There's two Frenchmen and two Texans.
Adam Carolla
Oh, boy.
F
So we're four partners. 50. 50. Richard and I and those guys. Yeah, we're funding the project. They're building it.
Adam Carolla
What do you think this thing's going to come in at?
F
Million bucks. Oh, cost.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
F
You know, we're not paying for labor, and that's a gazillion of the dollars. So I think we'll be in it for 300 hard. And then with their labor would be another 300 if they were billing for it. So it, you know, real math, it would be 750, 800. And I think it's going to bring a million bucks.
Adam Carolla
There is. You know, this used to be a fool's errand, and it's not anymore. Guys are building cars and people are paying for those cars. It didn't used to be that way. You know, you got kevin hart buying a Corvette for 800 grand or something that somebody breathed on. It's like they're now. It now makes sense.
F
The way this whole thing happened is the frenchman drove the hummer down to dallas for richard to proverbial breathe on roland gas monkey. So he would put it on his youtubes. And when they were leaving, he and I had had a few drinks and I said, hey, you and I have always talked about doing a deal together. We need to buy this truck. And he's like, what do you think it's worth? I said, I don't know. So I worked on them, got it bought. They didn't want to sell it. We bought it with the agreement that they're going to take that money and build another one. I said, I will finance the next one. So it was a two part deal. We brought the car. I'll say we gave 150 grand for it. We brought the car to barrett and it sold for 750,000.
Adam Carolla
Yes.
F
But it made them very famous. It made us a lot of money. But like, okay, the good news is the next time you're going to get to participate in the profit. Here we go.
Adam Carolla
Unless you want to pay. Painted satin.
F
During that hold, they hooked up with the guy that bought the car. He wants another one.
Adam Carolla
Oh, another hummer.
F
So he gives them a million dollar to build them a six by six porsche.
Adam Carolla
Oh, wow.
F
And now he wants this one, too. So. So it's like they're serving two masters because they're talking to this guy. He's like, I'm going to be on top of this car at barrett. Why don't we just sell this car to this guy.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
F
And let's build another one for Barrett. Well, he only wants a one of one, so. So there's just all types of variables.
Adam Carolla
Well, as I like to say, this is why the terrorists hate us. Because these are our problems. We can't make up any. All right, John. Let me give the show a plug. Podcast Summary: Adam Carolla Show Featuring MMA Legend Rampage Jackson and Radio Personality Mayhem Miller
Episode Title: MMA Legend Rampage Jackson + Radio Personality John Clay Wolfe
Release Date: November 27, 2024
In this episode of The Adam Carolla Show, host Adam Carolla welcomes MMA icon Rampage Jackson and radio personality Mayhem Miller for an engaging discussion on Rampage's illustrious career, the dynamics between the UFC and boxing, and current trends in combat sports. The conversation is rich with personal anecdotes, professional insights, and commentary on contemporary issues within the MMA landscape.
Adam Carolla begins by praising Rampage Jackson’s dominance in the UFC, highlighting his impressive run in the light heavyweight division. Rampage humorously downplays his acting stint, saying, "But honestly, I wasn't acting, so my acting is still trash." ([04:03])
Rampage delves into his memorable fights, particularly his bout against Dan Henderson. He reflects, "I showed everything. I showed my standup, I showed my wrestling… I showed my ground skills, which I don't typically show." ([18:35]) This fight exemplified his versatile skill set and strategic endurance, especially in the final moments of each round.
The conversation transitions to comparing the unpredictability of the UFC with the seemingly fixed records in boxing. Rampage asserts, "Because a lot of boxers, their records are padded. MMA, we fight anybody, right?" ([07:37]) This highlights how UFC’s open matchmaking leads to more varied and undecided outcomes, unlike boxing where dominant boxers often maintain unblemished records for extended periods.
Rampage offers his perspective on the high-profile fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, stating, "Tyson did what he's supposed to do." ([10:19]) He analyzes Tyson's performance, appreciating the technical prowess Tyson brought to the ring, which ultimately influenced the fight's outcome.
The hosts speculate on a potential MMA matchup between Conor McGregor and Jake Paul. Rampage believes Conor would have an advantage due to his extensive grappling skills, remarking, "Conor would have a huge advantage over Jake Paul if you mixed it up." ([15:19]) They discuss weight classes and fighting styles, contemplating how Conor’s MMA expertise could counter Jake Paul’s boxing experience.
Rampage shares his training regimen, emphasizing his strategy of sprinting during the last 30 seconds of each round to secure victory. He explains, "I run the last 30 seconds of each round." ([19:16]) This technique showcases his dedication and tactical approach to endurance and performance under pressure.
Rampage reveals that he hasn’t officially retired but has faced significant health challenges. He recounts, "Doctors misdiagnosed me with hypothyroidism. I had to stop the medicine cold turkey." ([35:33]) These health issues led to unexpected weight gain and an unfortunate loss against Fedor, marking his temporary withdrawal from active competition.
The episode shifts to a news segment discussing Conor McGregor's recent civil trial outcome. Rampage and Adam express their thoughts on the verdict, where McGregor was found liable for sexual assault and ordered to pay $257,000 to the plaintiff, Nikita Hand.
Rampage highlights societal double standards, stating, "Women historically are sort of can look the other way… can kind of get your mind around it." ([66:20]) They debate the implications of public figures facing legal judgments and the fairness of civil versus criminal proceedings in such cases.
The hosts discuss recent incidents involving street takeovers and the misuse of drones in Los Angeles. Adam describes a video showing a drone firing fireworks onto a car during a street takeover, prompting questions about safety and legality. Rampage comments, "Hear me out. I'm telling you exactly what happened." ([50:57]) They explore the potential dangers of integrating technology like drones into reckless street activities, emphasizing the need for better regulation and public awareness.
As the episode wraps up, Rampage promotes his energy drink, F3 Energy, highlighting its healthier caffeine source from green tea extract. Adam encourages listeners to visit the website or Amazon to try the product. The hosts briefly touch on upcoming events and projects, reinforcing their commitment to the MMA community and their respective careers.
Rampage Jackson on Acting: "But honestly, I wasn't acting, so my acting is still trash." ([04:03])
