Welcome back to Episode 57 of ‘After The Horn’ with Woody Paige, Tom Green, and Ron Zappolo! On this week's episode, Woody, Ron, and Tom kick off the program with a hilarious segment surrounding the man who was launched 8 feet into the air by a bison in Yellowstone. Thankfully, the individual is okay, despite suffering a few injuries. The guys watch back the crazy footage of the incident and even find some sports parallels to the viral clip. After a few good laughs in the opening minutes, the guys transition into baseball talk, specifically surrounding the Rockies and the All-Star break. The Rockies are continuing to make "the bad kind of history" in that they have been in last place in their division prior to the All-Star break in consecutive years. Despite this disappointing reality, the MLB All-Star break has already brought excitement to baseball fans in the form of a Home Run Derby that Woody claims may be the best ever. The NBA offseason continues to coast along, but the Nuggets have made almost no moves. Despite recently signing former EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year Alpha Diallo, it still feels like a major trade needs to happen. The Nuggets are shopping sign-and-trade options for Peyton Watson, which also means we could see the young forward leave Denver after a breakout season. How much longer will the Nuggets stay quiet, and if they do decide to make a move, what will it be? LeBron James rumors continue to heat up despite him leaving Denver, it feels like the Broncos are getting more confident as the season approaches, and the FIFA World Cup is once again looking to be a smashing success during its quadrennial appearance. Woody, Ron, and Tom have thoughts on all of it. Tune into ‘After The Horn’ on Tuesdays at 5:00 PM MST to hear hot takes, stories, and share laughs with three Denver sports legends. Stream ‘After The Horn’ wherever you get your podcasts, and on X, YouTube, and Facebook @ Guerilla Sports. Welcome back to Episode 55 of ‘After The Horn’ with Woody Paige, Tom Green, and Ron Zappolo! On this week’s episode, Woody, Ron, and Tom discuss the positive direction the Colorado Rockies are heading in. Despite a losing record and many struggles this season, their improvement is noticeable compared to last year. Whether it’s a stronger core within the roster or changes in management involving the Penner group, Rockies baseball is moving in an exciting direction. Catcher Hunter Goodman is heating up at the perfect time, and the Rockies are expected to be aggressive at the MLB trade deadline. However, there is still plenty of work to be done to make this a winning-caliber team. Speaking of things heating up, the Denver Nuggets are expected to make a splash trade this offseason in an effort to rework their roster around Nikola Jokić. Despite flying under the radar since their first-round exit to the Timberwolves, names like Christian Braun, Cam Johnson, and even Jamal Murray have been mentioned as possible trade assets in a big move. The Nuggets have been connected in multiple reports to Boston’s Jaylen Brown, and it may only be a matter of time before a major deal materializes. Is it worth it for Denver to pursue another star player? And more importantly, why is Nikola Jokić delaying his extension with the Nuggets? With several players up for new contracts and questions surrounding whether this core can still win a championship, there is plenty to discuss in Denver. The Avalanche also have key priorities to watch this summer, with Cale Makar eligible for an extension on July 1st and more moves expected from Joe Sakic. The Broncos are continuing their offseason work as Bo Nix prepares to enter year three. From Nuggets speculation to the Rockies’ upward trajectory, the crew covers it all on this week’s episode of ‘After The Horn’ on Guerilla Sports. This week on After the Horn, Tom Green and Ron Zappolo are in the host chairs, with Natasha Vukonich joining as usual, for a loaded sports conversation presented by RedBird Farms Chicken. Tom and Ron start with the NBA Finals, where the Knicks’ 13-game winning streak comes to an end against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs at Madison Square Garden — with a presidential courtside appearance adding even more noise to the night. The crew also discusses the World Cup coming to the United States, the rising cost of sports tickets, FIFA, the growing divide between real fans and premium-event pricing, and how sports leagues risk turning live games into studio television. Later, they hit the Rockies’ ongoing struggles, what Colorado should do at the trade deadline, and why the franchise needs to think differently about player development and roster-building.
