Yeah, we did our Abby's favorites episode. This was like one of the OG formats that we thought of when we were talking about doing a podcast that we were really excited about. And originally we were like, let's do it monthly. Like, wow, that's crazy. That is actually crazy.

Yeah. They kept asking if we did edibles or something. I don't know why. We were like just so on one that day.

I'm in pain, so that's my heart. I was shocked when I walked into the gym today. Who do I see? Not even just at the 8:30 class, but early.

I was five minutes early.

I don't know. Truly, I don't know. I felt a little weird.

Like it was like an accident.

Yeah, it was. It just feels unnatural getting to places five minutes early. Like I sat in the car and just like twiddling my thumbs, you know, I wasn't gonna go inside. That felt embarrassing. So I just waited until everyone else started to go inside.

But yeah.

Yeah, that was a little stressful.

But I was on time. It does make a difference when you get the warm up part of your workout because the warm up's pretty difficult.

So I normally never make the work warm up. So that was fun. Yeah. Add a little element to my workout.

My body hurts so bad from that. I'm like, that was bad. Bad idea.

But you know what kept me going?

I saw that video of that woman that was 40 weeks pregnant that did like a five minute mile.

I was like, I physically can do this. Okay. I physically can't do a five minute mouth.

But I physically can run while pregnant. I can't.

Literally at this point, I can't.

I Don't think you can. I could, I felt like I couldn't. I feel like I was gonna get prolapse or something from it, which could happen so bad. Yeah. Just maybe listen to your body.

And I wasn't even, I wasn't even running. Like I was really like.

Yeah, I stopped running early. I. And I love to run. Like I run frequently when I'm not pregnant. And the minute I start get pregnant at like 17 weeks, I get the worst sciatic pain and like the worst public floor pain. I'm like, it's just not worth it.

It was the, it was the pubic bone.

But now that hurts. And my lower back hurts. And I think it. We did squat clean jumps onto the ledge and that was just like the most insane amount of pressure for like. I was like, nah, I don't want to do that.

I didn't even do that move. Not pregnant.

No one did that move. And I was like, yeah.

I just didn't feel safe.

Sam was watching me so I was like, I'm just gonna do it.

Sure, I'll do it.

I did 12 pound weight, so it wasn't like I was really doing anything crazy. But yeah, I was like. So then today when we did the play date with our kids, I was like, I'm sitting here the whole time. Yeah, Yeah. I literally can't possibly move. And now that both kids go potty and at different times I'm like walking,

So lazy. But you know what, they didn't even notice the difference. They were having a great time. They're sweating like crazy.

Yeah, I'm such a huge fan. We have hosted a birthday party there before. We go there frequently. It's great because like when you have high energy kids, but you live in a climate that is like 120 degrees, right. Like summer time, you gotta get out of the house. But like what are you gonna do? You can't go to the park. You don't want to go to the pool every single day. And so.

And if your kids don't swim, it's like what do you do? You know?

Yeah. And so it's a great air conditioned place where they can blow up some skinny. It's very clean, super clean, very friendly. And they like have, they're very intentional about like having eyesight. On a lot of areas and, like, no screens and it's kind of, like, throwback themed.

Yeah, it was really cute. Yeah, they had a lot of fun. CJ was obsessed.

I don't really have a heart. I was laughing because I posted a video with Caleb that he's been doing the Shed, you know, and someone commented, and I got a couple messages being like, you talking on the podcast about how burnt out he is and giving him this massive house project to do. I was like, you know what?

And you know what? He did tell me he is burnt out officially. So I'm like, great. Sorry. But it's a hobby. Maybe it's like, filling, fulfilling.

It is, like, really a night and day difference in how we feel. And I think it is just, you know, different sodium. And maybe it's not even like you're eating unhealthy foods. It's just the Oils and everything are different. You just feel it when you're used to a certain thing.

My sisters and I, they put together a little video that and John our, our father in law and all of their uncles like Uncle Bob, Uncle Brett, they're all going, isn't that fun? I'm gonna be on stage like, hey, Uncle. Hey, father in law. I know. And they have like a compilation video that's so CJ and Vivian put a little video in, congratulate my dad. So, yeah, it'll be really fun.

Yeah, I think that's really good advice because a lot of. There's a lot of options now to do online or to only go for like a couple hours a day. Now, I did take off last period my senior year and I don't regret that. But like, yeah, I did too. I think that, yeah, I always did everything because I just was cheesy like that.

One of the best things is that you don't have structure. But creating some type of structure makes your day so much better. I think my kids behave so much better. They know what to expect. Expect. I feel like my clarity of mind is better. And also when there's no time constraints, you just kind of.

You don't do anything. And that is. So we have, like. I wouldn't say like a schedule, but we have a routine and we pretty much stick to it every weekday and the kids know what to expect. We have like the same routine, so.

Because we also do this.

So like we just wake up, do breakfast, get dressed pretty quick. My thing is like I got to get out the door pretty quickly in the morning or else I see. I think that we go downhill fast.

Like the messes are created, like chaos is happening. And so we go to the gym. My kids come with us. I love a gym that has good child care and that my kids look forward to going to and can see their friends too because it's important for them to socialize as well. Then we do a fun activity. Then we come back home and do rest and quiet time and then they have scheduled time where we I'm able to work and then they do learning activities with my mom. Fun.

Yeah, it's really good. I think trying to break it up with like out of the, out of the house time of the day and in the house time of the day. And my in the house time of the day includes nap time. So it's like nap time and then dinner time usually.

Yeah.

But I do like, I actually enjoy getting out of the door a little bit, having a little bit of a slower morning. So I'm not like waking up and rushing out. I like having like a slower breakfast. I think two, I'm really clear in the morning and so I like waking up and like having a few hours, like an hour before. Well, what time? Having like two hours before we leave the house of just like I'll play with cj, I'll make a slow breakfast, we'll have breakfast together. Like it's a little bit more slow. And then we'll go out, we'll go to the gym and then an activity or like whatever errands we have going on that day that will be like our out of the house time. And then when we come back it's nap, which usually I'm working in the afternoons too. So either we have like a babysitter there or my mom is there when she's in town or he's sleeping, they take long naps or I'm there and then it's usually around when he wakes up his dinner time. So I feel like if you can schedule it in chunks, he takes like a three hour nap.

Yeah. So we have most of our day and then he usually naps until dinner and then we'll have like some evening family time, and he still goes to

bed early at night. It's a really a wonder.

It really is a wonder. Actually. Today he went down for his Napoleon like one. No, he went down too. But I. Before that, like when he was younger, I used to go to the gym in the afternoons. So I would have like morning time of play at the house. Maybe we'd go to the grocery store or go out somewhere and then we would go home, have an afternoon nap, and then we would go to the gym in the afternoon. And that helped break up my day too. I just feel like finding something that you know that you want to do every day that's kind of like, hey, this is our goal post. Non negotiable. And then just finding where you need to put that marker.

My recommendation for you too is to find other moms that stay home because it can be really lonely. Even though you, like, love your kids and you really want to spend all the time in the world with them, it can be isolating. And it can happen really suddenly too, I feel like. And so just having routine where it's like once a week we go on a walk with our kids, that community just makes. I mean, it's good for so many reasons, but for your mental health and also for your kids to socialize and also just like to ask advice. Just having other moms that are also home during that time of day is really, I think it's a necessity of mine. Yep. Hi. I have right here. Easy summer side sauteed vegetables. I feel like we get really, really boring with veggies, which is so funny because I know that the last episode I put brussels sprouts because I've been really trying to switch this up because I literally just make broccoli every single night. And we love broccoli, but it's good to switch up the veggies a little bit. And this is a good blend. That's actually really flavorful too. It's got zucchini, asparagus, Carrots, mushrooms, even. It's red bell pepper. And so it's a little extra effort. But if you're grilling, I feel like this is a good side dish to put with it. Yeah, very summery, very fresh and yummy yum.
