Remember when everybody was buying everybody's drinks when they're going through drive thrus? It was like. It was like, hey, I'll pay for the guy's coffee behind me, right? One night, I'm in a really bad mood. I've had a shitty day. Numbers are horrible. And I remember pulling up to the window and I go to hand the lady the card, and she goes, the guy in front of you paid for it. And I said, I don't care. I'm paying for my own shit. And he's like. He's like, that's not how it works. And I'm like, listen to me, take my freaking card because I'm paying for my own coffee. I don't want anybody to pay for my stuff. How cold am I? No, I'm like, I'm so cold. I'm so, like, unfriendly. No one can connect with me. Well, no wonder my day sucked, because I can't connect with myself. I can't connect with anybody else. And finally a guy goes, listen, dude, you can't pay for this cup, but you can buy the person's coffee behind you. And I was like, fine. And, like, I'm mad about it, right? Because you know when you're irritated, right? Well, watch what happens though. The guy runs it, pays for it, gives me the receipt. My coffee was like, you know, a dollar fifty, right? This guy's order is like 36 bucks. It wasn't anything, but I was actually curious because when that person did something for me, I started to feel a little bit different, but I was still irritated. Well, as I pull up, I literally stopped for a minute and I tilt my rear mirror back and I look, and the people behind me are like, no way. No. And I see him talk. And the wife is like, that guy. And I'm like, damn, man, why am I such a loser? I'm like, man, you know what? Every time something bad happens to me, I just go buy somebody something. I just go do something for somebody. I go pay someone a compliment. I go text 15 friends or 15 clients and just tell them, I appreciate you, I'm grateful for you. I don't need anything from you, but just say thank you. Dude, when you get in the act of, like, these good airplanes and doing good work, you'll never feel that way again. Never. Because that is not from God. It's not from God. The devil doesn't want any of you in here to help anybody. He doesn't. So that's why, when something's not going good, you Immediately go help somebody because you do the opposite of what he wants you to do. And then what happens is you realize that even feels better than money. I thought of that. I thought that night I needed some money, when really I just needed to fill that hole in my heart, right? And the hole in my heart was helping people. And I'm just telling you, when I say this, like, I used to be that same person that you were. And you know, like, I get my high, high highs from like getting paychecks. But I was never happy. I was never fulfilled. And so money will never make you happy. You need it. And by the way, money also magnifies who you are. And so if you're an asshole in this room and you get money, you're going to be a bigger asshole than money. But if you're a good person, dude, you should make a lot of money because you're just going to go help a lot of people with money and you're going to be even a better person. And so like, I needed. And you need to right now too. And actually we all do, right? We need to make sure that we're a good steward of our life, of our thoughts. Because if we're asking God, God, hey, will you still the storehouse, like, I want to go do something. He's like, look, man, how are you thinking right now? Because if I was to give you a lot right now, all you're gonna do is just do something stupid with it. You know what I mean? Matter of fact, you're not even gonna appreciate it. And really, at the end of the day, you just need to be like, man, you know, like, I just need to be in control of my own thoughts. That's your greatest responsibility. And so basically my identity is, is that like, is that like I have purpose in my life and my purpose is not to make money, but do need to make money in this world. If you guys get really good at what you do, you'll make a lot of money. Every one of you in here. Your number one goal in life is to become the greatest problem solver on planet earth.
