Andy Elliott
Hey, guys. What's going on? Andy Elliott, 1% podcast in with my beautiful wife today, Jacqueline. And we got Heather and we got Mike, who are awesome. They own a badass roofing company. And I'm just going to start out before, you know, like, you guys introduce yourself. I want to introduce you. Number one. Went to a roofing conference, and I met Mike. And Mike, you know, as. After I was done speaking, I get off stage. I'm in this VIP room. He's there, and it's backstage. He's like. He's like, hey, man, you know? And I said, stop. I was like, dude, you need to get in shape. I'm like, you need to get in shape, dude. I know you want to win. I know you want to make more money. I know you want to build this thing.
Jacqueline
You didn't even let him talk.
Andy Elliott
I didn't let him talk. I was like, bro, you got to get in shape.
Jacqueline
What a bad part of it.
Andy Elliott
And at this point, I want everybody to do me a favor, because as much as we have the haters, we have winners and winners. I understand what a good coach is, and I understood that I didn't even meet Heather yet, but if Mike could start taking care of himself, Mike was going to take care of everything else differently. I knew that was going to happen. I knew that wasn't what he wanted to hear. No one wants to hear that. Everybody wants to hear all this other shit, but that other shit don't work. Okay? First thing you got to do is take care of yourself. You're on the screen right now. You'll see a picture of Mike. This is when. This is. This is the mic I saw. And you guys see Mike today and talk about total.
Mike
Yeah, that was dead.
Andy Elliott
And look at the man you see here today. We'll show some different pictures of Mike, but you can kind of see the transformation. Then I said, hey, now, you need to go home, be better her. That was like, my. My next thing wasn't business, wasn't how to scale, how to make more money, how to do this, how to hire a team, how to grow. No. I said, dude, you got to go home, start taking better care of your family. You're the example to her. Now we'll show some pictures of Heather. Now look at Heather's transformation. Guys, this is so cool. This is what life is about. And they're such a beautiful couple. They're just getting started. I mean, you guys are a year into this transformation in all areas of life and business and family, in yourselves, in together you know, getting close to God, making money. Like all these things are in this transformation journey, which me and Jacqueline went through that. So I.
Jacqueline
But. But a lot of times, I mean, they're a perfect example of that. You know, leaders, self leadership has to come with you first. And that's exactly what you did. A lot of people come to us and they're like, hey, how can I make more money? We'll teach you how to make more money. But if you're not willing to change and inspire your team first, then it's not going to work. And that's why you put in that hard work and you did amazing at it. So it was really cool to see.
Mike
Well, thank you.
Andy Elliott
And great leaders are coachable.
Jacqueline
Exactly.
Andy Elliott
And great leaders look in the mirror and own their. Before they go and start barking orders to everybody else, they make sure that they're leading themselves right, so that they have the authority to lead others, you know.
Jacqueline
So I have a question for Heather. So what, when you saw Mike come home and you saw him, like, want to change, right? From the guy that we saw in the pictures, what was your initial reaction? So.
Heather
So when he came home, he was so excited. And I had never seen my husband that pumped up. It was like something. He's like, babe, I met the most amazing person. He changed my life, like, truly. He was so excited. And for me, as a wife, you want the best for your spouse. And he was so excited. And that passion that I'd never seen, I was like, whatever we gotta do, I wanna support you. And quite frankly, with the passing of my father, which was about six months before, that was his mentor. And so he was lost. He was looking for a mentor. He was looking for someone to guide him. And, you know, my dad taught him a lot about business, but where he kind of lacked was a lot about the self development and discipline that my husband was looking for. And because of his military background that you just resonated with him. So when he came home, was so excited. And I knew he had a hole in his heart because of my dad passing. I said, you know, whatever we got to do. And it was. I mean, it was divine intervention. Quite frankly, it was a God appointment. As my mom would say, that's great.
Jacqueline
That's so good. Well, you guys have a great family now. I see a lot of times, I don't know, like, you probably saw a new level of excitement that you're like, man, I love this. Why do you think a lot of women probably fight against that change? When a man is willing to Want to change. And they go from being maybe not as excited to seeing something that inspires them. A lot of them feel like threatened by the idea of, like, man, I see this and I've been telling them to get excited about this, but he's not listening to me. Not necessarily with the in shape side, I'm not going to go on that side, but on the, like, changing for. Why did it take a guy, this bald guy with short shorts, for example, telling you to change for you to wake up? Why didn't you do it for me? Why do you think women do that?
Heather
That's a really good question. You know, I think for him, sometimes you're too close to the situation. And when you're close with your spouse, sometimes you need to hear the hard truth from someone outside your marriage. So, you know, for me, I didn't want to fight against the change because I just want what's best for him. And I knew that it was time. And I was already on my weight loss journey at that point.
Jacqueline
So you started first?
Heather
I started first. So I had already lost about £40 at that point. And so for him, I was excited for him to come along with me and I just knew that it was a time to change. I know it's 33 years we've been in business, the family business. That's my family legacy. I didn't want to let that down. And I was like, let's go. This is, this is how we're going to level up to the next, next.
Jacqueline
That's so awesome. I'm sorry. I started asking her questions because I know that you have an amazing business and I know it's a family business that started with your family, but you guys have grown and made it even better. But it, I see a lot of times there's a lot of great ideas in men in business, but they don't have the right running mate with them. Right. They don't have the spouse that kind of pushes them to be better. And they almost fight and they have to prove themselves a lot before the woman comes on board with them.
Heather
Sure.
Jacqueline
So I just wanted to kind of hear what your journey was like. So maybe you can, you know, talk to these women that are, that are watching on the other side and be like, hey, you know what? When your man is ready to change, they're looking for a divine intervention. Sometimes it could take years of you being asleep. Right. Or the man being asleep, and then all of a sudden they hear it from somebody, run along with it, because it's the best thing for you. I try to tell them all the time, but I see a lot of women fight against it for a long period of time. And that, I mean, when. I mean, I get that there's some false promises that probably happen along the way with. With the spouse, maybe in the past, but if you really want to see your man achieve their dreams, it's going to sometimes take somebody telling them on the other side doesn't necessarily have to come from you. So it's pretty awesome. So, anyway, we can. We can continue. But I just wanted to share that because I think that's a really important piece when it comes to the next level of growth in any business or marriage. You know, they have to be in sync in that, in that.
Andy Elliott
In alignment.
Jacqueline
In alignment of what they need to do together.
Andy Elliott
You said you were already in your journey of weight loss. Yeah, but when you are trying to eat clean and he's not really trying to, that's a problem.
Jacqueline
Right?
Mike
Right.
Andy Elliott
Because either you're going to give up your journey and pivot to him, or he's going to give up this lifestyle and pivot to you, but he can't live that life and you live this life because eventually you're going to grow apart or somebody has to give up something that they wanted.
Heather
Right, Good point.
Mike
Yeah. So I have an addictive personality, and it could be. It could be for good or it could be for bad. Once I give a hundred percent, I give 150% at something that I believe in. So when Andy's help, the light switch really turned on when I saw him in that breakout session at the conference, right? And I said to myself, and he comes up to me, he goes, dude, stop it. Look at your body. You're fat. You need to change. This is the first thing you need to do. And in my head, I'm like, this dude just called me fat. I don't even know him, right? It just. It went. It. That light. That light switch just clicked. And I got home and I. And I told her, I said, I think I found my guy. And she's like, what do you mean? I said, he called me fat. And then she goes, well, how'd you take that? I said, the light. The light switch went off. And ever since then, my addictive personality went to. Now you're going to be great. Your fitness is going to be great. Your mindset is going to be great. And £70 later, we're here.
Jacqueline
That's great.
Andy Elliott
£70. I mean, that is crazy. I mean, that's a lot of weight.
Heather
That is.
Mike
Yeah.
Jacqueline
Do you think on your stage of your. Sorry, baby. You think on your stage of your. Of your life, though, like, where you were, were you looking for that change? You think you took it the right way because you were ready to hear that, or what is it that made you. Because a lot of people would pissed off with that. And a lot of people hate us because we tell people that kind of stuff. Right. But the people that we really change are people that really are ready to change. Like, you seem like you're an easygoing guy and we've known you for years already, and you are always constantly striving to be better. But is there something like you feel like at this stage in your life it was time for you to hear that, or how do you do with those? I mean, how do you deal with not taking offense to that?
Mike
Yeah, I didn't take offense to it because me with my military background, there. There was that. That reset in my mind. So it's been over 20 years that I haven't had that military push, per se. And Andy gave it to me because it like, it triggered that drill sergeant mentality when I was in basic training and in military, that, hey, you're going to do this and you're going to do it to the best of your ability and you're going to give it 150%. So when he told me that, it was like, man, boom. It just. It just resonated back 20 plus years ago. It's like my drill sergeant, right? So let's go. Like, at that point in time, I took it. I took that. That statement and I said, I can either get pissed off about it or I can do something about it.
Jacqueline
It might. It reminded you who you were.
Mike
Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. And I needed that. I needed that and I needed it. You know, she says divine intervention. I say the same thing. He came into my life. It's kind of funny that how this all transpired. We were in Vegas, right, For a trip.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Mike
And this conference popped up and she goes, you gotta go. And I said, well, hold on. We can't go because we're going to. We're going on vacation. We shut down the company for all the employees. We give them two weeks off at, you know, during Christmas. So we already have a trip. We're going to Aruba. You know, take your. Your.
Jacqueline
You took your people to Aruba?
Mike
No, no, no, no, no, no. We just give them. We just give them their time off.
Jacqueline
Oh, wow.
Mike
We give them a two week.
Jacqueline
We're like, wow, where do I sign up.
Mike
It was mom's birthday and it was Mama Bear's birthday. Right. So this conference was the day before we leave. I said, well, Mike's not here. He's no longer with us. Right. So I got to run this show. And at that point in time, I said, I can't go. She goes, you need to go. Something's telling me that, intuition, something. Tell me you need to go. Okay, let's book it then. They have no more, they have no more general admission. It's all vip.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Mike
Say, well, babe, I don't even know if I'm going to be there the whole time because of the, the, the amount of contracts that we have to close out and projects that we have to close out. Maybe I can go there for a day. Let's do it. You know, 1500 bucks, whatever. Let's, let's, let's, let's get it, let's get it in there. Right? I go there the first day. He doesn't even speak the first day. He's on the second day. Right. So I go there first. I said, man, I'm getting so much great information from this. I'm gonna go the second day.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Mike
I said, we could, we can make it work. I go there. He comes on stage at 9:30. I won't forget it. I mean, that was the life changing moment for me.
Jacqueline
That's awesome.
Mike
Yeah.
Heather
But I think, going back to something you said earlier, why women? I think it's overall fear. It's what they know. And I think people are fearful of change and to grow and develop because they don't know what's on the other side. But when you push through that, I mean, you just level up and it's so much greater than you can imagine. So I think women, they, they want to stay in what they know, and I think they're fearful.
Jacqueline
It's comfort.
Heather
Yeah, Comfort. Yeah.
Mike
Yeah. You're in a comfort zone. Right? Right. Literally, when it take. So when you're in a marriage and you guys know this, you're in a marriage, you know, five years, 10 years. The first year, you're still getting to know each other. So it's a little uncomfortable. And you're trying to look your best, you're trying to be your best. And I'm a firm believer that that should be throughout your whole entire marriage until you guys die. Give it. And you said something when I.
Andy Elliott
Dangerous. It's dangerous when you get out of that. Absolutely. Then you find comfort in each other and then mediocrity takes over. Your life. Yeah.
Jacqueline
You don't try to impress each other anymore.
Mike
Exactly. And that. That's what sucks.
Andy Elliott
Your love goes backwards.
Mike
Right?
Jacqueline
Right.
Andy Elliott
Yeah.
Mike
Yep. Yeah.
Andy Elliott
And. And what you once chased, you honestly start to be annoyed by it.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Mike
Yeah.
Andy Elliott
Once you, like, it's just weird. Human beings are very, very weird.
Jacqueline
Yeah. Yeah.
Andy Elliott
Once you have to stop, we have to keep hunting.
Jacqueline
Once you quit trying to prove yourself or once you, you know, try and quit trying to look up to each other, then it just becomes that comfort, and then that's the last person you're trying to please. And then that's when.
Andy Elliott
It's when you work so hard for a year to impress each other, to convince the other person that you're worth being with forever. And then once they say, okay, you know, let's do it, then it's like, you stop trying.
Heather
Right.
Andy Elliott
It's like, dude, mentally, that's like, screws everybody up.
Heather
Always be dating. And it's like, never stop dating.
Mike
It's about the hunt.
Heather
Right.
Mike
Well, that was the chase that you had when you were. When you were courting that person. Right. Recording that your spouse. Now you had that. That courting. And so whatever happens to that after you get married, it just goes away. No, you got to keep on doing that.
Andy Elliott
Well, so that. That works with. With God, it works with your business, it works with your children. It works with your marriage. It works with yourself. Yeah, Right. Like, once you've stopped, like, anytime that you're ever, like, you know, I really don't care. And you get to that point. Very dangerous.
Heather
Absolutely.
Andy Elliott
Once you. When you're in that stage where you're like, dude, I like me. I like me. I like what I'm doing with me. I like this, like, dude, you're on fire.
Jacqueline
And that's when you can inspire somebody. You know, it's like we talk about magnetic.
Mike
It's contagious. Absolutely.
Jacqueline
Talk about goals. And, like, if your goal is to be the best mom in the world, Right. And you want your kids to look up to you as they're here. Hero, what is the best thing you can do? Look in the mirror and see, hey, am I proud of myself? Do I love myself? Can I give my kids that same example? Because then you're caught being the person that you don't want to be, and then you're like, why don't my kids look up to me? Why are they looking up? You know, why are they on YouTube? Why are they doing this? Why are they looking for other heroes instead of me? Well, if you can't look in the mirror and be like, hey, I'm proud of who I am, who I've become. I'm happy. You know, I was telling Andy just yesterday or a few days ago, I was telling him, hey, you know, like, I. When my son Ian, and probably this is wrong, but, like, this is how adventurous I was when he was born. I got the car seat and I strapped it on the four wheeler, and I would put him on the four wheeler, and I, like, ratchet tied it to it, right? And I would go ride in the. In the woods with him, and he's, like, sleeping in there. And I was like, man, like, what happened to that girl? Three, four months old, not even just born. It was like, crazy. Like, I'm just like, what? But what. What happened to that adventurous girl that I used to be? To do that? And that's one of my goals. I'm like, I'm gonna be that person when my kid. My kids can do that now. Like, my kids can get on. I don't have to strap a car seat to the four wheeler. They would love to jump on there with me. Like, why am I not doing that? So remembering going back to what we're talking about, being adventurous and being those people that you look up to and keeping it new, like, that's so important. Parenting, marriage, business, everything. It's so cool. So it's good that you guys are doing that now. And I could see you guys doing it more and more and more as we see you guys. I mean, you guys are holding hands right now, which is crazy.
Mike
Always. Always.
Jacqueline
It's good.
Andy Elliott
I love it. Talk about the. Let's talk about the business for a minute.
Mike
Okay, sure.
Andy Elliott
A lot of people that are watching this, we got. We got a big channel. A lot of them are in business. You guys have created and rebuilt what your father built, the business. You've taken it and you've put your own spin on it now, right? Which we would call that, like, a different level of leadership, a different level of culture and a different. You wanted to be different than all the other roofing companies out there, right? And so if you're. If you're out there, I want you to pay real close attention to this because they're building a really great team right now. And I love what they said. They just said, I don't care how big we get, we know we're going to go big, but we care about who we're doing this with. And they're looking for. For people, underdogs, people that, you know, Always wanted to be a part of something special that, you know, thought man, if I just was with the right people, I know I could do anything. The cool thing about roofing is you can teach, you know, roof sales to anyone, you can teach this stuff to anyone. But finding the right people that you want to do your life with, that's what I think you guys are building. Let's talk about what you guys are building. Your culture, your leadership. Heather, why don't you, why don't you lead that way?
Heather
Well, I think, you know, really it starts with the self development and the discipline. I mean Mike wants the sales team at the gym at 5:30 every morning. And that, that's part of the, that's a non negotiable. So it's building that mind and building the future leaders and the type of processes we put into place that the training we've put into place. Like you said, we can tell we can show anybody how to sell and we have it. It's just if they're willing to do the work. And so it's a great earning opportunity. And so, so it starts with the self development and it starts non negotiable. You gotta be in the gym with us. And every Friday we do a team building. All of us, we go, we show up at the gym, we do a team building activity and we take turns. Everybody gets to pick what they want to do. You know, spinning class is the team's favorite.
Jacqueline
Really.
Heather
We've done it all. So you know, we've, next I think we're going to do yoga. But we do everything as a team. But the point is it's to build that camaraderie.
Andy Elliott
And it's more than a job.
Heather
Yeah, absolutely. It's a lifestyle.
Andy Elliott
I mean think about it. There's, there's eight, nine billion people in this world. Most of them just, I, I need a job, you know, you, and by the way, and even some people that want to make a lot of money, they end up forgetting who they are. They stop self developing. They never become their best self because they chase a paycheck their whole life.
Heather
Right?
Andy Elliott
And so I think you guys are killing the, the that you're starting a new era of like nobody wants a boss, everybody wants to be with a coach and a leader.
Heather
Right?
Andy Elliott
And so your company coaches and leads people and it is a great income opportunity. It is, you know, in essence a job that pays you good money. But you want to be good, you want to be close to your people, you want to know about their families, you want to know what their dreams are. You want to help them. That's how you guys get your fulfillment out of seeing your people grow inside the company. So this next phase is going to be people that align in alignment.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Andy Elliott
With like taking care of your, your health, your family.
Jacqueline
And what are your, like, top core values that you have for your company? Because I mean, as you, as you've been in business, I'm sure that you have a lot of people that are more like you as you've grown and scaled and, you know, gone through your next phases and all of that. Right. You're attracting people that want the same things you want that happened to, that happens to all the businesses basically as they start growing. That's what we are doing. You know, we're attracting people that are family oriented and all these different things. But what are your top core values that you feel like you talk about every time you have a meeting?
Mike
Sure. So I'll take that one.
Jacqueline
Okay.
Mike
So we've modeled basically our business. Not, you know, they say imitation is the best form of flattery.
Andy Elliott
Right.
Mike
So ever since we met you guys, we modeled that business based off of what you guys have built here. Like, we really love what you guys have done built here and the culture you built here. So we always start with the fitness. Right? And then from the fitness is going to come the great mindset. I've never seen somebody that can have excellent physical fitness and then have a mindset down here.
Andy Elliott
Right.
Mike
And what do I mean by that? If you're going to the gym every single day and you're working on your fitness and you're just trying to become better every single day, you're not going to come around and drink a 12 pack of beer and eat a pie a piece.
Jacqueline
Right.
Mike
It's, it's not, it's just those don't add up. Right? So then from there we, we believe in family and faith, right? So that, that's, that's what we believe in. And then we. You've always taught us, hey, the money's going to come at you if you can bring those core values into it.
Jacqueline
Right.
Mike
And then obviously, leadership, collaboration, those are core values that we believe in. I tell my guys all the time and girls, I'm just a team member here. We're all leaders. Yeah, we're all leaders. And the way we're going to grow this is you're going to pay it forward by you being a leader and then you're going to make other leaders. Right? And then that's how this business is Going to grow. When I start up an interview process with people that come into, to apply, I throw the resume out the door. I'm interviewing you based off of personality, who you are, your values, and that's it. I could care less about your previous employment.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Mike
I care less.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Mike
I want to see what you're made of. And then if you're coachable and if you can go ahead and fit in within our organization.
Heather
And I think to piggyback on that is one of the values is we care more, we care about one another, we care about our customers and we care about our community and doing the right thing. I mean, 70% of homeowners don't trust roofers.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Heather
So we have, we have to go against that stigma. So we do the right thing. I mean, right now we're dealing with the aftermath of the hurricanes. You see people gouging, take advantage of people and it's just, it's so wrong. So we do the right thing. We hold ourselves accountable. It is, we truly. We care more and it comes back with our customers and reviews.
Mike
Yeah. So we have a saying in the organization that we're gonna out care, outwork out serve. Okay. And outperform the competition hands down. And that's what we truly believe in.
Andy Elliott
You can't compete with that.
Mike
Yeah. And that's, that's our standards. And if, you know, if you're, if you want to come in, you got, we have to uphold those standards right in the gym and so forth. And truly the buy in process, once they come in and they start buying in. So we've implemented, we've implemented our processes. Right. We've taken a full year implementing SOPs. We have standard operating procedures. We've implemented a two week training course. Right. To give. To make them the best of the best out there when they're, when they're out there on the roads and they're knocking on doors and so forth. Other roofing companies in Orlando, they have, you may have a couple, but the right. They don't have this type of process and this type of blueprint and platform that we've implemented and grown and cultured. Right. So we can go ahead and make the best of the best and have some savages out there.
Jacqueline
That's great.
Andy Elliott
That's awesome.
Mike
Yeah.
Andy Elliott
And so let's talk about. Who are you guys looking for? What kind of people?
Mike
Well, right now we're.
Andy Elliott
You're growing the team.
Mike
Okay.
Andy Elliott
If you had a, if someone was listening and they would say, oh, that, that sounds like me. Right.
Jacqueline
Seems like A place great people to be around. Yeah.
Andy Elliott
To. To. To become that. But, like, what do you have in mind? What kind of skills? What would you like them to be?
Heather
Like, okay, you know, obviously personable, someone that just. That cares, that has compassion for people. Looking for salespeople, we're looking for lead coordinators as well to take the calls. We are getting busier.
Andy Elliott
People get on the phones.
Jacqueline
Yep.
Heather
People get on the phones.
Andy Elliott
Customer service.
Heather
Customer service. And just, you know, someone that really wants to go out there and build something special with us. We're looking to build, and we're going to take people along with us. There's going to be a lot of great opportunities for people. We're going to build leaders, and as we grow, there'll be more opportunities for additional leadership and management within the company.
Mike
And from a personal aspect, we want candidates that are going to apply, that want to make a change in their life, that want to make an impact not only for them, but for their families. Right. Let's make an impact to get you in whatever rut that you're in. Let's help you get out of that rut, and we can make you positive and make sure that. That you're going to be a leader in the future. So that's what we're really looking for. Somebody that's coachable, that's going to trust the process.
Jacqueline
Yeah. So notice they didn't say anything about skill or qualifications. Right. They said basically personable, which it's crazy. But in this era, like, being personable is hard right now. So having a personality where somebody just smiles and is constantly learning is great. And being coach, a great attitude is. It is hard to find. So if you're a bubbly person that has a good attitude, there's places for you, obviously. Right. So. And then being coachable, just wanting to learn to get better.
Mike
No entitlement. Right. Come in willing to learn, and we're going to teach you everything that you need to do to be successful.
Jacqueline
Right. That's great.
Andy Elliott
So you guys, the opportunity is in Orlando.
Mike
Yes.
Andy Elliott
Right. So I want. Everybody knows it's in Orlando, Florida. Unbelievable. Like I said, husband and wife company. Your mom will still probably come around here and there.
Heather
Oh, yeah.
Andy Elliott
Mama bear is what we call her.
Jacqueline
She's great.
Andy Elliott
But prayer warrior, she just prays for everybody. She's my secret weapon. She's super cool.
Mike
She prays for you every day.
Andy Elliott
Yes, dude. She's unreal. And. And then you guys, you're so you're in Orlando, so you're close to the beach, right? What are you guys, 30 minutes away from the beach?
Heather
30 minutes.
Andy Elliott
Y. Yeah.
Jacqueline
Are you from Orlando originally?
Mike
I'm from Chicago originally.
Jacqueline
Okay.
Mike
Moved to Miami and then moved to Orlando. 10. 10 years. Going on 11 years.
Jacqueline
Where'd you guys meet?
Mike
I let her take that one.
Jacqueline
Oh, is it a crazy story?
Heather
No, pg, Kind of. We met in Hollywood Beach, Florida, which is south of Fort Lauderdale. I. I was living in my. My best life. And at the time, not my best life, but he. I had. I had a condo on the beach, and he picked me up the condo pool. Yeah, true story.
Jacqueline
Nice condo pool.
Heather
So I said, you met me in a bikini. You knew what you're getting into. So.
Jacqueline
Exactly.
Heather
17 years later, married 15 years in April. So I definitely want to. We want to renew our vows in April.
Jacqueline
That's great. That's awesome.
Heather
Yeah.
Andy Elliott
Yeah.
Jacqueline
That's going to continue having fun. But I love that you said I was living my best life then, but now I'm living my best life now. And that's. That's good. That's good because you're constantly growing and getting better and, you know, you're more and more proud of yourselves, you know, and you've been together for a long time and you guys stay in love and you're constantly growing in every area. We believe in having it all. I mean, that's one of the things that we preach all the time. You can grow in business and family, faith and everything that you want in life and do it all. You guys are true examples of that. So. So we're proud of you.
Mike
Well, thank you.
Andy Elliott
You guys get better looking every time.
Heather
I see they do.
Jacqueline
And Heather always has the red lipstick and she always. I don't know what it is about the blonde and the red lipstick. It's just like, you know. Right.
Heather
Thanks.
Andy Elliott
She's always looking good.
Heather
Thank you.
Andy Elliott
Well, super important. Many times during this I will have had put up. Hey, text now if you want to learn about this earning opportunity. Right. Text now if you want want to join their team. So they can text you or there'll be a link they can click down in the description box to join Yalls team. Orlando, Florida. Most anybody that wants to join your. Your company or team, they would move. Who doesn't want to move to Florida and be in Orlando? Absolutely. Younger, older, you guys love family, you guys love God, you guys love. Again, total recreation. So you believe when someone's ready to change. Just like how Mike was, you're like, oh, oh, I see that. Let's go. That guy's Gonna go really far or she's gonna go really far.
Mike
Yeah. We want to bring people in that we want to get close to. We want to make them our.
Andy Elliott
Build your family.
Mike
Yeah, absolutely. And that's what we're about. We. We absolutely want to love on our employees. And again, we're all a team, you know? Yeah. Am I labeled as the owner of the company? Yeah. But I don't even look at it that way. I look at it as we're all a team.
Andy Elliott
Love it. On your. Your team doesn't exist. Okay? Everybody knows this. Everyone in the world right now. They know if they work in somewhere, they know how they're getting treated. And if you go talk to those owners, they're not dropping podcasts out on the Internet saying, I just want to level my people. I want to give them a good opportunity. I want them to have their best life. So you guys are extremely rare. And so everybody in the world would love to be with someone like, this is going to.
Jacqueline
And you guys truly care, which is. Which is a cool thing. You can tell when somebody really cares, right? There's a people that would be like, oh, yeah, I care. But, like, really, most people, if you ask any employee or somebody that works for, where people ask their team members like, hey, do you feel like they really, truly care? The answer is, is sad. It really is. You know, so we have that. And that's the reason why you guys are talking about, like, hey, we. We kind of emulate what you guys do. You ask our team member, do they really care about you? They'll be like, heck yeah, they care about us. But I know that you guys care about your team, and it is a very rare thing to really, truly care. It is a two way street. They. They'll take care of you. You'll have a loyalty and you give them. And you give them a really good life, but you care. You're the type of people that know the kids names, the wives names, the whole. The whole works. And that's what's so important. That's what's building a true legacy. And you don't have to have those qualifications. You can be an underdog, you can be somebody that had, you know, bad past or somebody, you know, whatever, you. You can learn. And as long as you're coachable and you want to have that good life and you can relate to Mike and Heather and the team, I mean, it's an incredible opportunity.
Heather
So want to make an impact, you know, at the end of the day, and God is our senior partner and so nothing better to show legacy than make an impact and change people's lives. You guys know that first and foremost. So that's what we want to do. And I think our leadership style. We're players, coaches. Exactly. That's exactly who we are for players, coaches. We get in, we do it with you. That's why everybody's on the team. So that's the type of leaders we are. If you're looking for, you know, an opportunity, we'd love to. To connect with you.
Mike
Yeah. And I'm not. We're not owners. Well, especially me. You know, her dad was very tough on me when I. This wasn't just handed to us. Right. I had to work from the bottom up.
Jacqueline
Yeah.
Mike
I was out there 14 hours a day working with the crews that he made me. He didn't make me, but I chose to do it. And he pushed you and he pushed me to do, do it and just to learn. Learn everything that he taught me.
Jacqueline
That's so good. And you know, we talk about you're finding coachable people. The only way you can find coachable people is by also being coachable as a leader, which you are. You know, that's why we constantly see you doing self development, reading books, growing, you know, studying always to get better. And that's, that's the only way you can really ask for that as a leader is if you are coachable first, which we already know you are.
Andy Elliott
So 2025. Five is going to be a big year for you guys. Social media, we'll finish with. If somebody wants to follow you on social media or find you kind of see what you're about, where do they go?
Mike
Sure. So, you know, IG is always the most popular.
Andy Elliott
Go to Instagram.
Mike
Yeah, go to Instagram at Z. Underscore roofing, Underscore construction. So that. That's one. We're also on YouTube and also on Twitter and also on X. So we're on all the social media platforms.
Andy Elliott
Yeah. So we'll make sure we put the Instagram. That'll be easy. And then they can go kind of check out what you guys are doing also.
Mike
Yeah.
Andy Elliott
Guys, look, we appreciate you. We love you. Heather and Mike are unreal. They're building. I'm gonna call it phase two, right?
Heather
Yes.
Andy Elliott
Which is after 30 years, they're revamping the. The roofing industry. They've seen the holes, they've seen the turnover, they've seen the things that, that have gone on in all sales industries. They're drawing the line. They're saying, hey, we're going to build with people that are loving, that want to build what we want to build.
Jacqueline
Also Honest.
Andy Elliott
Yeah, they're honest. We want to build a big life. We want to help our people build a big life. We want to be close to our people. We don't want to just have a job. We don't want to just be employees or employers. We want to have a family. We want to kick ass. We want to win. If that resonates with you, make sure you reach out to them incredible leaders. You have to meet them firsthand. And matter of fact, when you text the number where you click the link below, they'll reach out to you personally. So everybody. Mike, love you, bro.
