Foreign. Hey guys, what's going on? Andy Elliot. Today I'm interviewing the number one salesperson in Canada. Also, listen, he's about to rip. Jeff Batchelor has been with me for three years. Three years ago, I think Jeff paid like 10 grand. Came down to an event with me, didn't really know what to think, didn't know what to expect. Came through the seminar, trained with, you know, a couple hundred other people, and then we did some one on one time afterwards. And Jeff was making about 250 grand at that time. He's in the automotive space, right? So I want to explain this. She's in the automotive space. He lives in a town of only 50,000 people. Now if he's, if he's earning, you know, a quarter of a million, he's in 50,000 people. A lot of people would say there's people in Phoenix, Arizona, there's 25 million people that aren't earning a quarter million a year. And they're the best. And this guy's doing it in 50,000 people. And then boom. I say, hey, you're a double your money. You're going to go home, you're going to make 500 grand and you're going to follow the steps, by the way. You're going to take very good care of your customers. It isn't like I'm going to teach you some sneaky sales tactics. I'm going to show you how to be a badass. And guess what happens? He goes home, he runs the play, he becomes the man he needs to become one of the greatest coachable people that I know. And he's about to share it all with you. What he did comes back the next year, right? And in the event stands up and shows everybody his pay stub. Half a million. And guess what? His customers love him. He just had a son, his wife's on fire, they're killing it, and they're in a very small place. And everybody in his area was like, no, you know, we don't have that many people here. That can't happen. You can't do this. Don't ever listen to those people. And so today, guys, Jeff, I, I love you, bro. I just want to tell you, I'm super grateful for you. Hey, he even came back shredded with a six pack working out. He's changing the whole community where he's at. But I'm going to shut up, I'm going to hand it over to him because I told him, I said, hey, can you rip for like 10, 15 minutes? I mean, we don't need to run for a long time and just rip what you're doing. So, Jeff, love you. Let's just start with, like, right now, like the last year, right? You're scaling, you're growing, share some things. Like. Like what, what kind of. What's. What is. You're the great separator. What separates you from everyone else. I want you to nail down that line to everything that you're doing. And I mean everything.
B
Yeah, absolutely. So. Hey, car sales nation. What's up? Super happy to be here. Pouring into you guys, but honestly, I can't break it down any more simple than comparing it to being in a restaurant. You know, that server and the restaurant is not cooking the food, pricing the food, you know, deciding who sits at her section.
A
The server.
B
Yeah, but every restaurant has one server that's making 10 times more than all the other servers. Why? Because that person cares. You know, because they pay attention. They take a proper order. You know, they give before they take, you know, before they're collecting a tip. They're putting their whole heart on the table. You know, they're serving them to the highest level, and that's just something that's just dead in sales. Nobody does that in sales. So when you are somebody that can give somebody a different experience, you know, you care about getting to know the person. You care about solving a problem. You know, you put yourself in those shoes and you legitimately care about solving the problem.
A
Truly care.
B
You're bulletproof, you're lethal, because there's nobody that does that.
A
Ask you a question, how do you. How did you turn that switch on, though, to truly care? I mean, look, a lot of people want to make money, right? And they want to make more money than they want to care about people. So how do you. How do you switch that? How? Give us some advice. How you. How you care so much?
B
Yeah. So I now run my own teaching events in Fort McMurray, you know, to try to elevate, you know, my circle. You know, I want my whole city to be, you know, fire breathing dragons. I want everybody to be successful. There's more than enough for everybody. And I always talk about Jeff 1.0, Jeff 2.0, and Jeff 3.0, you know, and Jeff 1.0. Made a lot of money, was fun to hang out with, but was inside like, like a real piece of turd. Like, like just the worst person in the world. Deceitful, dishonest, you know, not loyal, just. Just absolute garbage. And it took a lot of internal.
A
I want to I want to. I'm going to interrupt him because I want to say something to you. I say this all the time. It is so good that he brought this point up. I know people right now that are broke, that don't have money in the bank. They are not where they want to be in life financially, but they're working really hard. And people say, how do I change this? And I say, the person that you've been has attracted this. The person that you are right now has attracted that bank account. The person you are right now has attracted that income. That's the truth. And you know how to change it? Very simple. When you change who you're, who you are, your whole life changes. And so if you want to change, like. Like, and you want a different life, listen to what Jeff's about to say. So 1.0, and I was the same person. You know, your intentions, where you wanted to make money, and you wanted to learn the skill of making money. And really, the interest of people. Like, you knew you had to be nice to them because being kind is, you know, like, part of life, but internally, you just wanted to make money. There's always a hidden motor, your mind. You're right. Okay, so. All right, so then, Jeff 2.0. What happened?
B
Yeah, so I had to completely rebirth myself. You know, I moved away. I moved across the country from one end of the country to the other end of the country, you know, separated myself from all the bad influences. Like, I couldn't. I didn't have the discipline just to decide not to do these things. I needed to physically remove myself.
A
You need something extreme?
B
Yeah, absolutely.
A
To become a new person.
B
Yeah. And then I always hear the topic, like, life by design, you know, which is one of those, like, man, like, what do I want to be known for? Like, what kind of impact do I want to have? Like, I want to be known for the best stuff on earth. Right? And it started with real small stuff. It's going to sound crazy, but the first thing I did was I adopted a dog, you know, And I was like, man, I'm going to save this life. You know, I'm going to pour into this little girl, like, this dog, you know, I'm going to be this girl's best friend I'm going to hang out with all the time, you know? And all of a sudden, that started to attract goodness into my life. You know, I was volunteering, you know, which was bringing goodness into my life.
A
I was.
B
Exactly. And I mean, I wish that it's.
A
It's. It's very weird in the beginning, but then after a few weeks, you're like, oh, I like this. Yeah, because you feel good inside. Yeah.
B
And I could only wish that everybody on earth was born with a servant heart, because, like, that's what gets me fired when I'm doing work for other people.
A
Like, I'm fired up.
B
I'm like, yeah, of course I want to help you out, man. And that brought my wife into my life, and then that brought the job into my life, you know, and that brought everything that's been great in my life has come from me, like, designing it, you know, knowing that that's where I wanted to be and living into that person. Right, so.
A
And then your son.
B
Yeah, and now I've got a son. Absolutely. Five years of trying a lot of ups and down with me and my wife, and all of a sudden, we're blessed with a beautiful boy. And, I mean, I'm more on fire than ever to be the absolute, you know, best hero to my son, the best husband to my wife, you know? And I want to pour this into my entire community. You know, it's like, everybody who sees me, I want them to be like, what is he on? How do I get some of that? I'll tell you, I'll help you. It's not even going to cost you anything. I just want to help.
A
People will watch this and they'll say, this is exhausting. Like, trying to do this is exhausting. Do me a favor, just for 30 seconds, take me back to your old life.
B
So I was in sales. I used to sell trips, you know, and, like, spring break trips. Okay? So the product that I was selling also doesn't align with what I, what I, what I feel is good anymore. You know, I was selling, like, girls Gone Wild trips. You know, go drink your face off. Have no accountability, Be irresponsible on this vacation. Meanwhile, I'm getting paid to sell these trips. And then what am I doing with this money? I'm being irresponsible. And I'm getting into, you know, car accidents, drinking and driving. I mean, I almost died, man. Like, I shouldn't even be here, you know, I was in Seattle, Washington, you know, literally a chain leak fence away from driving into the freaking ocean. Like, again, I was a piece of crap, man. Like, you did not want to be around me. I was a liability. I was dangerous. Right?
A
I love this. I want everybody to understand this real quick. Number one, what Jeff is trying to say is the person he used to be, just like. Just like I was. We did not want any more people to be cloned like us. We were not a good threat. We were a bad threat. People should not be around us. We were irresponsible because we probably had some bad leadership. They were like, hey, go have fun. Go make money. And that made us feel alive. Now we feel alive and what fun means to us. Now this is my definition of fun, is not drinking, is being a great husband, is being a great father, is putting a financial fence around my family, is taking good care of my customers, is telling people that, dude, I get you. Like, I used to not like who I was. But the good thing is I made a decision and all that changed. And I'm living proof that you can make a decision right now and you can change too. And then your story will change millions of lives also. And then you'll have your dream life. It is heaven on earth. And so I love that you said that because a lot of people are going to watch this and like, oh, number one sales guy in Canada, in the automotive space. You weren't always that guy. You did some extreme things. People say, adopt a dog, dude. Listen, the little things are what create big things. I know that sounds crazy and you may not have to go adopt a dog, but the point is, is people under rate how the little things matter.
B
Yeah. Like my heart was just in the wrong place.
A
Yeah.
B
I needed to put myself change from the inside. Exactly. And then people see that, you know, and then I didn't realize that that change that I made in my life was going to be my superpower in car sales. Because car sales is an entire industry where nobody gives a crap.
A
Yeah. I'm saying the sales chain at the very bottom is car salesman and insurance salesmen. Yeah, right. Like nobody, you know, loves that. But if you're the best in insurance and you have a good heart and you care about people and you're the best in automotive, you know what, dude? You will rise to the top. Everybody will love you. Because those people, everyone needs a car. I mean, the transfer, the transportation space is like the greatest space in the history of world. But you must operate like Jeff is telling you.
B
Now, I don't need to outwork my competition. I do, but I just have to out car them, you know, and I get the amount of repeat and referral business that anybody in the entire country dreams they would have. You know, like my customers are fanatics, you know, and all I do is I just pour it right back into the community. I donate every month. I sponsor every kid, everybody's kids. Hockey, soccer, volleyball, cheer teams, you know, like, you want something, I got you.
A
You have an abundance mindset.
B
100%. And it's never been about the money. You know, I got more. More than enough to give away.
A
But even when you didn't have money, you were sponsoring.
B
Yeah.
A
Even in the beginning, like when we first started training, you were like sponsoring things around your community.
B
Yeah.
A
And you didn't have a non negotiable rule.
B
10% every month, 10 guys.
A
Think about this right now. Yeah, but think about this right now, Right? Like when money doesn't own you and you devalue money, you can get as much money as you want, but when money controls you and money is your ultimate value, you're. You're. You're in prison.
B
Yeah, absolutely.
A
And you can't get anymore. And you become a shitty person because you're fighting against God's way.
B
And how fun is it to go to work every day knowing that you're helping people? You're changing lives. People appreciate what you do, you know, like, that's heaven on earth, like you say all the time. So I'm never going to stop helping because it's the most fulfilling thing I can do. And yeah, sure, it's selling cars. And people might be like, changing lives. Selling cars, Like, Absolutely. Vehicles for their families.
A
You know, their perspective is crap.
B
Absolutely.
A
I always say this. People always. Oh, yeah. And you're really changing lives. I'm like, dude, I'm sorry that you have a really bad perspective. Look, dude, when something bad happens in my life, I think there's got to be some good in this. I see the good, you see the bad. I mean, I don't understand. I mean, look, by the way, that's your life. I mean, if you want to go around and see bad stuff and be miserable and not be a loving person and not help anyone else out and hate who you are, that's fine. But I'm not gonna be that way.
B
Yeah.
A
You know, I used to be like that. And now that I know the opposite. Oh, my God.
B
Yeah.
A
Now I look back and I'm like, dude, that guy's never coming back out again. And so now we need to tell you, if you're watching this, run Jeff's play. So, Jeff, give us, let's say, a power two minutes. Anybody watching this, what advice would you tell them right now? To completely change your life? Because you did it.
B
Yeah. So I think again, you've got to start with your heart. You got to be in the right mindset, you know, why are you, you know, going to push so hard in whatever industry you is. Maybe it is because you do want to put a roof over your family. Maybe it is because you want to get your wife out of tactically, what can they do? Because you want to make sure.
A
So why do you want to do it? Give me some tactical stuff. Like I'm watching this, I'm like, okay, change my heart. Tell me what to do, Jeff. Yeah, I'm lost.
B
Yeah, you got to get disciplined. Okay.
A
Okay, so number one, get, write that down. Get disciplined.
B
Yeah. Make a game plan. Stick to it.
A
Okay, give me a game plan. What should my, what should my, what should I, what should I do if I'm going to be disciplined? What areas of my life should I be disciplined in?
B
So the first thing you need to do is you need to take care of yourself. Because if you can't take care of yourself, so self care of anyone.
A
So I need to get in the gym, I need to exercise, I need to eat good food. I need to, I need to take care of that.
B
And it's not selfish to put yourself first. You can't say, oh, you know what I mean, I got to take care of my wife, I got to take care of other people first. You know, you come first. Okay. Then you take care because they like you.
A
And then everyone else will like you because you're, you're, you're, you love you. So you can give that love to other people.
B
Yeah. And when you look like you're somebody who can take care of themselves, people will trust you that they will take care of them. Right.
A
So, okay, so discipline. Okay? So take care of yourself. Start it now.
B
Okay.
A
Okay.
B
Then at work you've got to put your heart first. You've got to be different. You need to be a human being. You need to build a relationship. You need to listen to what the problems are. You know, I heard in the event on the, on the weekend, eventually all salespeople are going to be replaced by AI and robots and stuff. All right, that's coming. You know, so before that happens, let's be the human connection.
A
Well, people wish that they had place you. They'll replace the, the duds. Yeah, the studs will stay.
B
Yeah.
A
You know, the studs are going to stay. Trust me. Companies aren't going to be like, I'm getting rid of Jeff. And no, it's like, hey, the bottom 80 of the board AI's taking your job, Jeff, you just got a raise.
B
But, but again, if you just, you know, act every day with love, you.
A
Know, stand out, be different. What you're trying to say is that, look, if everyone's on this four lane highway, they don't really care. They've got cold hearts. They're just trying to make a paycheck. You're saying, dude, listen, walk around, be on fire, be magnetic, you know, be contagious, have a great attitude, have a good personality and show up like you actually care and really care.
B
Yeah. Do you enjoy your day more sitting in your desk with a frown on your face or sitting in your desk with a smile on your face? With a smile on your face. So put a damn smile on your face. Put a smile on other people's faces.
A
What about all these people, though, that aren't like you? How do you stay. Let's finish with this. How do you stay that way when people say, yeah, but I'm not around people like you, Andy. I'm not around people like, yeah, you got a good dealership that you're. Because your dealership, they're all on board now, but they used to not be all on board. So how do you do it when no one else around you likes this new change?
B
It's easy. You train. Every day you train. It doesn't matter what it is. If you're learning to play basketball, it doesn't matter what skill you are trying to get better at, you train. So I'll tell you this morning, I want to be even better than I already am at showing people love. So you know what I did this morning? I went down to the lake, right down to the fountain hills, and I challenged myself to make sure that I not only said hi to every single person I ran past, but I complimented them. Complimented them on their hat, their shoes, something. These are all total strangers, not even in the country I live in. And this morning I got up, can you do this?
A
No one's making him do this. This is something he's deciding to do on his own because I want to.
B
Be better at it. So I'm going to practice and I'm going to train and I'm going to do it until I'm good at it.
A
Guys. Jeff, I'm going to end it there. Listen, number one, Jeff bachelor. Jeff. How do they find you on social media?
B
Jeff bachelor. Literally, you can find me on Facebook, Instagram, even YouTube, but it's just literally my name. Jeff bachelor.
A
I love it. That was pretty simple. Jeff, Easy one. But it's not like. It's just like at Jeff bachelor.
B
So, Jeff bachelor. B a t c h e L O R Not like the. Not like a single guy bachelor.
A
No, no, I got it. I just want to make sure because I want people to be able to find you guys if you found this impactful. Number one, make the decision to change today. That's all we ask. We love you, we appreciate. And then number two, give Jeff a follow. He's always dropping cool stuff. He's. He's growing every day. He's an amazing guy. I mean, amazing. His heart's in the right place. And you know, Jeff, you've been coming to events now for years, and I, you know, and I see you every year. And his heart is so generous and his life just keeps getting better. And so this is the play. This is the play. All of us need to run. Okay?
B
Givers gain.
A
Yeah, that's it. And then we'll die with no regrets. We'll change a lot of people's lives. We'll leave our mark. Why we're here. And if you're watching this and you're an underdog, so am I and so is Jeff. Okay? And we can come back from anything. It's never over. So if you're watching this and I don't care how rough life is, you just make some simple changes. I remember some of the things that you were telling me about your story, and it was pretty crazy. Like, he's like, dude, I shouldn't be here. And he, when he told me some of these things, a lot of people be like, oh, that guy couldn't be this, oh, that guy's not going to be the leader. That's going to help a lot of people. That's not how God works. God takes people like in the Bible, Saul, who is a Christian killer, and then he became Paul and took the Bible the furthest and become one of Jesus greatest disciples. So I'm just going to tell you that's the way it works. And maybe the world doesn't understand it, but you know, God knows what's going on. So you just got to make the choice. Do I want to have a life like this? And if you do, I promise you full circle. I mean, financial offense around your family and income and all that is included. But also you get all these other benefits.
B
It really isn't that complicated. If you want to be known for doing good things, just do good things, right? And the more good things you do, the more people are going to recognize you for doing good things. And do you think people want to work with people that are doing good things? Of course they do. And they want to pay them a lot of money.
A
Come on. All right. Love you guys. Have a blessed day. Jeff, appreciate you being here. He's taking off back to Canada. And again, you'll see him every year, matter of fact, go on YouTube. There's a video me and him did. You can Andy Elliott, number one salesman in Canada. We did, like, two years ago. You should go find it right now and watch it. And you guys can check out Jeff from two years ago. Yeah.
B
And there's another one from three years ago.
A
Oh, there was three years ago. You guys can check him out and see how much he's changed. So love you guys. Have a blessed day. See you in the next video.
