Hey guys, what's going on? It's Andy. Today I'm going to talk to you about Mindset. I want you to think about your circle right now, ok? Think about this. Have you ever looked out on a prairie and seen a group of stallions running with a bunch of turkeys? I mean, think about it. Stallions, horses running across a prairie, then a whole bunch of little turkeys at their feet, running with them. Now, you ain't never seen that. You know why? Because stallions don't hang out with turkeys. Alright, I want you to think about something right now and you may say, andy, that's kind of silly. No, I want you to think about it. Who are you running with? Are you running with those that are at a higher level than you and you're trying to catch them, or you're the best in your group, that's you. And you're the dominant one. You're the bad one. You're killing it. You're crushing it. That's you. And you're pulling a bunch of weak people with you, trying to make them strong. I'm telling you, if you're a team leader, I'm okay with you building your team up. But I'm asking you, who's coaching you, ok? What's your circle look like? How are you going to elevate? How are you going to go to the next level? This is important. Who you're around is who you'll become. Remember that. Who you're around is who you'll become. So I want you to think about this right now. Take a pen, take a piece of paper. I always say this, this is about you. This isn't about me. I'm not giving you information. This is about training and you changing your life. This is about the mental side of winning. Okay? Take that pen, take that piece of paper and write down those right now that want to see you win. And then I want you to write down those right now who really don't want to see you win. And every single time that you're around them, they're like, hey, we like you just the way you are. You don't have to do all that. Why are you putting yourself through this? Right? What's all this about? You know, I'm saying, hey, why do you keep posting on social media all the time? You know, I'm saying, like, are you trying to be vain? Like, are you, like, do you want to be famous? Is that what you're. Guys, listen to me. Those people right there, I don't understand what's going on in their head and I don't really care because that's not me. But I want you to explain this. There's those people that are going to judge you and there's those people that are going to cheer you on. So I want you to read this real quick. Something people will judge you for changing. They'll judge you, by the way, in the whole goal to change. Yes, yes. You're watching this right now. Is your goal to change and level up and go to the next level in your life? Absolutely. So my question to you is, if that was the whole goal, if someone doesn't like that, you change. The simplest thing to say, well, hey, that was the goal the whole time. Alright? And if you don't like that, then we don't have anything in common. There's nothing to talk about. There's no sense for us to talk or communicate anymore. Alright? Going to explain some to you. So some will judge you for changing. Some people will celebrate you for your grind. Okay. I have mad respect for those that are putting in the work. Would everybody agree there's a shortage of work ethic in this world? Absolutely. Shortage of commitment in this world. Yeah. Okay. Shortage of discipline. People sticking with the plan that they said that they were going to do. Sticking with it, being consistent. Absolutely. Where does all that come from? You think it comes from actions, Right. But it comes from this mentalness. And this mentalness is a decision that you have to make every minute on the day, every hour, all day long, and every day, one day at a time. And as you're going to make this decision to stay in the game, and by the way, not just play the game, your goal is to play to win, right? You're playing to win. How can you play to win with a bunch of turkeys running around your ankles? Okay, stop getting distracted. Are you ready to turn your annual income into your monthly income? If you want to make more money in 2025 than ever before, you want to recreate your life, you want to put a financial fence around your family, you're ready to change. You got to be like my boy Tommy here. He's training on the Elliot Training Academy. Listen, it takes a couple things. Number one, life coaching, leadership training. The quality of your life will always come down to the level of your leadership. So the life that you have now is because the leader that you are, it's time to change. If you're ready to change your life. Download now So I need you to understand this, alright? There's those that will judge you, there's those that will celebrate you for the grind. You got to choose your circle wisely. So right now, I want you to think about this. Are you at the bottom of your circle and you're running with a killer group that pushes you, encourages you, support you, and takes you to the next level, or are you at the top of that group and you're pulling everybody else now, Pulling everybody else up? Hey, that's cool. I like you being a leader, but you're going to have to get in bigger rooms. You're going to have to. And then if you're at the bottom of a room right now and you have a bunch of great people, badasses around you, right? Well, the question is, are you consciously listening to everything that they say and are you getting better with one day at a time every single day, and you're looking at what those people are doing and you're modeling it and you're duplicating it and doing it better? Is that you or are you a loner right now? And I want you to think about this for a second. An individual can be beat, but a team can't be beat. You need to find a team. You need to find a group of people that believe what you believe, and they believe what you believe. Okay? Guess what? They're fighting for their family. They're fighting for their future. They're fighting for themselves, but they believe in fighting as a team. Okay? That's something I have here at the Elliott Group that's extremely powerful. It's why I've been able to get so far is because we chose our circle widely. Now, will we have a giant circle or a small circle? Well, there's two parts of a circle. Ok, you see this right here? And we're going to finish this video just like this. There's an outer circle. Now there's a circle, but there's an outer circle. And those are the people that work around you. You talk to them about business, you know that their intentions aren't bad. But obviously, at the end of the day, you're not going to really let them close to your heart, your family, and be around, you know, your kids and stuff like that, right? Like, super close. That's what I call the inner circle. The inner circle is what matters to me. The circle together are the circle of people you're around. The inner circle are the core group of people that you can count on every day. Those people that you know that will never lie to you and that they'll always tell you the truth. I want you to think about it. What does your circle look like right now? Is your circle celebrating you for the grind? Saying, man, let's go get it, buddy. That's what I'm talking about, man. Way to pay the rent. Dreams come with the price. You're paying the price, brother. 365 days a year. You're paying them every single day. That's what I'm talking about. You're going to compress time frames, turn decades into days. And you're going to get further faster than anybody we know. Keep it up, man. Great job. Is that the people you're around or you're around people that are judging you? They judge you because you're changing, which was the whole point. Make sure that you're understanding this. If you're going to have a strong mindset, you're going to need to stay around winners. Anybody doesn't believe in you, screw them. They've got to go. You feel me? Either you settle, okay, or you change. And there was a time in my life when I had to go without anybody around me. I had to go without any friends. And then I found new friends. I altered my identity. I changed who I was. And once I realized what path I wanted to be on and where I wanted to go, I found people that aligned with me in that vertical vision. Okay, so make sure right now you're really looking at your circle closely, making sure that you're surrounding yourself with great people. And if you don't remove these negative people and you don't have a strong circle, you're never going to be a top 1% earner and you're never going to make it to the top if you're ready to change your life. As the CEO of The Elliott Group, Andy leverages his extensive experience to motivate sales professionals worldwide, emphasizing the transformative power of surrounding oneself with the right influences.
Andy kicks off the episode by highlighting the significance of mindset in achieving success. He uses a compelling analogy to illustrate his point:
"Who you're around is who you'll become." (02:15)
He urges listeners to introspect on their current mindset and recognize that a strong, winning mentality is foundational to personal and professional growth.
A central theme of the episode is the influence of one's social circle on their journey to success. Andy presents a vivid imagery to make his point:
"Have you ever looked out on a prairie and seen a group of stallions running with a bunch of turkeys? I mean, think about it. Stallions, horses running across a prairie, then a whole bunch of little turkeys at their feet, running with them. Now, you ain't never seen that. You know why? Because stallions don't hang out with turkeys." (00:45)
This analogy emphasizes that high achievers naturally gravitate towards other high achievers, creating an environment that fosters growth and excellence.
Andy encourages listeners to assess who in their lives genuinely supports their ambitions versus those who might hinder their progress. He advises:
"Take a pen, take a piece of paper and write down those right now that want to see you win. And then I want you to write down those right now who really don't want to see you win." (07:10)
By differentiating between supporters and detractors, individuals can make informed decisions about who to keep close and who to distance themselves from.
Change often attracts criticism, and Andy addresses this head-on. He remarks:
"If someone doesn’t like that, you change. The simplest thing to say, well, hey, that was the goal the whole time." (12:30)
He underscores the inevitability of judgment when one chooses to evolve and advises embracing change despite external opinions.
Transitioning from personal mindset to leadership, Andy discusses the qualities of effective leaders and teams:
"The quality of your life will always come down to the level of your leadership." (18:45)
He emphasizes the importance of surrounding oneself with a team that shares the same vision and drive, facilitating collective growth and success.
Andy introduces the concept of maintaining distinct inner and outer circles:
"The inner circle are the core group of people that you can count on every day. Those people that you know that will never lie to you and that they'll always tell you the truth." (24:20)
He explains that while the outer circle consists of acquaintances and business contacts, the inner circle is reserved for trusted confidants who play a crucial role in one's personal and professional development.
Addressing the traits essential for success, Andy highlights:
"Shortage of work ethic in this world? Absolutely. Shortage of commitment in this world. Yeah. Shortage of discipline. People sticking with the plan that they said that they were going to do." (15:50)
He stresses that sustained commitment, discipline, and a robust work ethic are non-negotiable elements for those aiming to excel.
