When I first considered taking a break from alcohol, my biggest fear wasn't missing the drink.

It was losing myself.

Who would I be without alcohol? Would I still be fun? Would people still like me? Would I still be confident enough to walk into a room, dance at weddings, connect with people, and feel like I belonged?

Looking back, I realise those fears had very little to do with alcohol and everything to do with identity.

In this episode, I explore one of the biggest hidden challenges of going alcohol-free: rediscovering who you really are underneath the persona alcohol creates. I share my own experience, the stories I told myself for years, and why I now believe that finding your authentic self is one of the greatest gifts of this entire journey.
