My first guest, Santiago Rivera, is the author of Doing Business God’s Way: Invite God to Partner with You to Create Business Success.

While I know Mr. Rivera personally and even had the opportunity to work closely on him with the book, I believe that his story will inspire others who have an idea for a book, but have no idea where to start.

Some key points that were made by Mr. Rivera during the interview include:

Doing Business God’s Way was inspired by God and wasn’t in theÂ plan for his life.
The audience of the book morphed over the course of the publishing process.
He would be woken up in the middle of the night with ideas and just startedÂ writing without a plan.
The editing process was traumatic for him in the beginning, but turned out to be a rewarding experience.
Writing the book was the easiest part of the process for him.
During the launch, his team used the website as the base of operations, sending all social media and email followers there.
For his next book, he plans to begin promoting more heavily at least three months before the launch date.
His advice for potential authors is to not only focus on writing the book, but to finish it before worrying about anything else in the process.
