It’s been a while since we’ve done a Q&A on the podcast, and since this is one of the last episodes of the year (!!) we thought this would be a perfect time to catch-up and answer some questions from our listeners! We’re curious about some of these too: Does Mel still want to move to Taiwan? How does Helen get her hair to look perfectly curled? Do we ever compare our SOs to other people’s SOs? And what’s next for ABG?💗 AsianBossGirl Live - THE BFF TOUR 💗Calling ABGs & ABBs in the NYC & LA area - we’re hittin’ the road, baby! I recently went through a breakup, again. Heartbreak is never easy, and when you're dating with the intention to find your life partner while trying to beat a biological clock, it involves a new level of hurt, grief, and sense of urgency to move on. How do we know when we've healed? How do we approach asking for support from friends and family? How can we focus on hope when all we want to do is be angry and negative? I talk about all of this and more in this episode. To listen to this episode of Living Well with Janet, you can find it on its new feed:Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2UhaWKTbWHo8jKe7Xzm8WJ?si=73ce4856f7624188 Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/living-well-with-janet/id1779609453 Or, search for it in your podcast player of choice! At the same time, it’s important to know what happens on the legal side when you sign those papers, to read the fine print just like you would for any other contract. So today, we’ve brought on family law attorney Alex Payne to answer as many questions as we could think of, so you can get a jump start on your research. Is it best to keep your finances joint or separate? How does social media play a role in divorce proceedings? For better or for worse, having a sister is a lifelong friendship that you didn’t choose for yourself. Janet and Helen know just how tumultuous, but also reassuring, growing up with sisters can be. Janet and her younger sister Patty have very different personalities and interests, while Helen and her older sister Anne fought A LOT as kids. But ultimately, we know that the other sister always has our back through the heartbreaks and joys of life. We’re also curious – does having a sister affect how you view or interact with female friendships? In the final round of our 1-on-1 conversation series, Janet and Helen share how they went from meeting each other as “a friend of a friend” to the close, protective sisterhood they now share. Their friendship dynamic holds many similarities (they’re always down for a night out or new adventure), but also many differences (having traditional vs. non-conventional life paths, or being extroverted vs. introverted). It’s these differences in particular that make their friendship so meaningful - Helen may be a social bee who buzzes around the room but Janet is the flower who embraces the bee for a deep conversation.__________________________________________Hosts: Janet Wang and Helen WuEditor: Michelle Hsieh__________________________________________P A R T N E R S• Odd Pieces: Check out oddpieces.com/abg and get 15% off your puzzle with code “ABG”• Pampers: For trusted protection, trust Pampers, the #1 pediatrician recommended brand.• BetterHelp: Get 10% off your first month with code “ABG” at betterhelp.com/ABG__________________________________________C O N N E C T W I T H U S• Subscribe and Follow us @asianbossgirl on Apple Podcasts/Spotify/Amazon Music/YouTube/Instagram/Twitter/Facebook• Listener Survey: Let us know your thoughts on the podcast here• Shoutouts: Give a shoutout on the podcast here• Email: hello@asianbossgirl.com__________________________________________S U P P O R T U S• Merch: asianbossgirl.myshopify.com• Donate: anchor.fm/asianbossgirl/support• More about us at asianbossgirl.com Learn more about your ad choices.
