We’ve played many games to get to know one another better and test our friendship, but today we’re going even deeper with the card game “Let’s Get Deep”. From ice breaker questions like: “Top sheet or no top sheet?“ to deep end questions like: “What’s your least favorite sex position?”, we find out how much we still don’t know about each other in this episode!__________________________________________Hosts: Melody Cheng, Janet Wang, Helen WuEditor: Michelle Hsieh__________________________________________P A R T N E R S• Pampers: For trusted protection, trust Pampers, the #1 pediatrician recommended brand.• Open Studio: Get 30 days free at withopen.com/ABG__________________________________________C O N N E C T W I T H U S• Subscribe and Follow us @asianbossgirl on Apple Podcasts/Spotify/Amazon Music/YouTube/Instagram/Twitter/Facebook• Listener Survey: Let us know your thoughts on the podcast here• Shoutouts: Give a shoutout on the podcast here• Email: hello@asianbossgirl.com__________________________________________S U P P O R T U S• Merch: asianbossgirl.myshopify.com• Donate: anchor.fm/asianbossgirl/support• More about us at asianbossgirl.com Learn more about your ad choices. On this podcast, we try to be as open and candid as possible. But realistically, our public persona only represents 5% of our lives. So, we wondered how much your assumptions about us match up with what’s really going on. From our personalities (Is Helen the most outgoing?) to our careers (Is ABG writing another book?) to our future plans (Would we ever move out of LA?) - are your assumptions about us correct?__________________________________________Hosts: Melody Cheng, Janet Wang, Helen WuEditor: Michelle Hsieh__________________________________________P A R T N E R S• ZocDoc: Download the ZocDoc app for FREE at ZocDoc.com/ABG__________________________________________C O N N E C T W I T H U S• Subscribe and Follow us @asianbossgirl on Apple Podcasts/Spotify/Amazon Music/YouTube/Instagram/Twitter/Facebook• Listener Survey: Let us know your thoughts on the podcast here• Shoutouts: Give a shoutout on the podcast here• Email: hello@asianbossgirl.com__________________________________________S U P P O R T U S• Merch: asianbossgirl.myshopify.com• Donate: anchor.fm/asianbossgirl/support• More about us at asianbossgirl.com Learn more about your ad choices. Last September, Janet shared about the start of her egg freezing journey on this podcast, and the process of going through her first cycle. Since then, she’s gone through one and a half more cycles. At six months, she wanted to share some updates and a deeper reflection on the journey so far. How many eggs was she able to retrieve, and how long do they last? What was it like to meet her partner in the middle of this journey? And what does she wish she knew before starting the process of freezing her eggs? Everyone’s experience with egg freezing is unique and personal, but she hopes today’s conversation can give valuable insight to anyone who is considering or starting egg freezing. A few years ago, Helen arranged two blind Holi-Dates for Mel and Janet. This year, we’ve certainly still got love in mind, as we’ve all found holiday romances of our own. So, instead of focusing on new romances, we wanted to learn more about what love is like for a couple who has been together for 8+ years: husband and wife, Helen Wu and Philip Wang! They sit down for an open and honest discussion of how they navigated the ups and downs of their relationship, the expansion of their family, and their proudest moments together as a couple. __________________________________________Hosts: Melody Cheng, Janet Wang, Helen WuEditor: Michelle Hsieh__________________________________________P A R T N E R S• McDonald’s: Get the Quarter Pounder with Cheese at a location near you!• Meditation for Women: Listen wherever you get your podcasts and visit linktr.ee/womensmeditationnetwork to learn more• Issuu: Sign up for FREE or get 50% off a premium account with code ASIANBOSSGIRL at issuu.com/podcast• Lululemon: Shop the best gifts now at lululemon.com__________________________________________C O N N E C T W I T H U S• Subscribe and Follow us @asianbossgirl on Apple Podcasts/Spotify/Amazon Music/YouTube/Instagram/Twitter/Facebook• Listener Survey: Let us know your thoughts on the podcast here• Shoutouts: Give a shoutout on the podcast here• Email: hello@asianbossgirl.com__________________________________________S U P P O R T U S• Merch: asianbossgirl.myshopify.com• Donate: anchor.fm/asianbossgirl/support• More about us at asianbossgirl.com Learn more about your ad choices. Our office hours are back in session! We received so many questions for our last Office Hours episode that we had to separate them into a second part (you can listen to the first part here!). On this episode, TAs Helen, Mel, and Janet tackle tough questions like: How do we field out the fuckbois vs. serious guys while dating? What are our favorite Self-Help books? And what’s our advice for young staff in corporate jobs?If you would like us to record more Office Hours episodes, leave us a comment with an apple or pencil emoji! __________________________________________Hosts: Melody Cheng, Janet Wang, Helen WuEditor: Michelle Hsieh__________________________________________P A R T N E R S• Stitch Fix: Get $20 off your first purchase at stitchfix.com/abg• First Republic Bank: Visit firstrepublic.com__________________________________________C O N N E C T W I T H U S• Subscribe and Follow us @asianbossgirl on Apple Podcasts/Spotify/Amazon Music/YouTube/Instagram/Twitter/Facebook• Listener Survey: Let us know your thoughts on the podcast here• Shoutouts: Give a shoutout on the podcast here• Email: hello@asianbossgirl.com__________________________________________S U P P O R T U S• Merch: asianbossgirl.myshopify.com• Donate: anchor.fm/asianbossgirl/support• More about us at asianbossgirl.com Learn more about your ad choices. As many listeners may already know, Janet is going through the process of freezing her eggs. At the time of this episode’s release, she just finished her first cycle, and she’s planning to do 1-2 more cycles to collect additional eggs. Fertility is still a topic that is not often talked about, so today, Janet is here to share her personal experience and walk us through every step of the process: why she decided to freeze her eggs, how her day-to-day life was affected, and some helpful tips she’s learned so far in her journey. She’s here to shed light on parts of the procedure that may seem scary to some (costs, medication, etc.), the ups and downs of the egg freezing process, and how this whole experience has given her more awareness of her own body. The Enneagram is a personality model made up of 9 types. We have had a couple of episodes in which we analyze each other’s personalities - there was Episode 14 where we discussed each of our horoscopes and zodiac signs, and Episode 17 which focused on our Meyers Briggs personality types. Our listeners have requested that we also dedicate an episode to the Enneagram - so here it is! We review each of our results, discuss how accurate we think this test is, what shocked us the most about our results, and get into some very deep and personal analyses about our fears and values. Have you taken the Enneagram test? Share your results with us in the comments below! This Hero Story is brought to you by McDonald's. With all that is happening with the pandemic, McDonald's is putting forward the effort to showcase the many kinds of heroes in the Asian Pacific American community. McDonald's desire to uplift and highlight community heroes is guided by the belief that we are all in this together, and they are committed to caring for local heroes who are caring for our country. COVID19 has profoundly impacted the world. We’ve all had to adjust to a new normal, and that new normal has looked different for everyone. In recent episodes, we shared how COVID19 has impacted our personal lives, and our experiences have reflected that of many individuals who are adjusting to the stay-at-home order. In this bonus episode, we want to recognize and honor a local community hero who is working directly on the frontlines. Today, we have Michelle Acob, a bedside and charge nurse at the Regional Medical Center of San Jose - a trauma hospital. Michelle works in one of Santa Clara County’s first Covid-19 units starting in March 2020. As a charge and infection prevention nurse, she oversees the entire Covid-19 unit and is in control of bedding patients and guiding 10-12 nurses with their assigned patient loads. We are so honored to have Michelle here to share her story and experiences during this unprecedented period of our lives. This episode edited by Michelle Hsieh.
