Money is a spiritual thing. What we do with our money has an effect on our souls. We have said through this series that the best spiritual practice is to give 10% and save/invest 10% of the money we make—and so what does the rest of the 80% look like? Is what we do with this 80% important or is it ours to do with it whatever we please? The key to living life on the 80% involves several mindset changes and lifestyle changes that will lead to our flourishing and joy. The question becomes: will we adopt these commands of Jesus into our life or simply listen to them? Jesus offers us a joyful life as we learn to live on 80% of our earnings.

Have you ever been given great advice you just didn’t take it? The problem with good advice we failed to take is that it’s only after we’ve already gone way down the road that we realize our misstep. And many times it just leaves us looking backward with regret wishing we would’ve done things differently. How do we make sure we don’t miss the best advice God has for us in stewarding our finances? In this week’s installment of Keep It Simple, Ryan shares the best advice he didn’t take. And how God’s Word brings incredible wisdom and clarity in how to step out from under the financial pressure and experience financial peace.

In Silicon Valley, we live under immense financial pressure with the ever-elusive goal of financial freedom always just beyond our grasp. We tend to believe that if we could only make more then we would finally be financially free, retire young, own a nice house, drive new cars, and travel the world whenever we desire. The problem is in our pursuit of more we find ourselves with less of what matters most. How do you truly experience financial peace? Join us for our 3-part series Keep It Simple as we discover God’s design for experiencing financial peace.

We are seeing a lot of attention being paid to the scary and disturbing things in the Bible. How do we make sense of some of the violent passages about God commanding the killing of people, commands not to get tattoos or to eat shrimp or there will be punishment and stories of bears mauling youth. Do we have a scary God? Is the Bible a scary book? Join us this Halloween as special guest, pastor and author Dan Kimball joins us!
