Dr. Erik Reynolds is a pastor and educator. Before becoming a pastor, Erik served as a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the United States Army. As an NCO, one of his main responsibilities was training soldiers. This background has given Erik a passion for training Christians in Biblical Studies, Theology, and how to live out their faith. Basic Training seeks to help Christians understand the Bible and the Christian faith through systematic learning. This podcast runs in "seasons" that cover essential topics like New and Old Testament Overview, How To Study The Bible, Theology, and more. Each episode description includes links to popular articles and books for further learning.
Dr. Reynolds teaches Biblical Worldview, Biblical Theology, and Evangelism at the Berkshire Institute for Christian Studies. He also serves as the Ministry Year Coordinator with the Ministry Training Institute (MTI). Basic Training is the result of Erik's Doctor of Ministry project from Liberty University, where he sought to train new believers and potential lay leaders for church planting.
