Hello my friends 👋🏻 It feels good to release a new episode to you. And, even though I said episode 166 and meant 167 (I was a little rusty 😀), I’m really excited for this one to be out. I hope you enjoy 💜

Protecting your energy can look differently for each of us. It’s so crucial to our regulation and self love. I hope you enjoy episode 166 :)

This idea was sparked by a lesson I taught my 5th grade class recently. There’s something in it we can all take from. I hope you enjoy :) With love, Matthew

We all have our own versions of a manila folder. Those things (sometimes actual items) that we get away from because life is crazy. The manila folder brings us back. It fills our cup. Take a listen to episode 164 and let me know what your “manila folder” is! With love, Matthew

Reaching out for help is something that makes you incredibly strong. It does not, and never will, make you a burden. This thought was brought to light after I experienced these feelings recently. I hope episode 163 reminds you that you deserve to be heard. With love, Matthew

When I get stressed I tend to wish my present away. I look ahead. Ahead to the “next thing”. Then, when I try to look back on my past memories they aren’t as clear as I wish they were. Let’s talk about what we can do to help this. With love, Matthew

We all have things we "carry" around with us. In our minds and hearts. Sometimes in life, we carry multiple things. We meet people and often have no idea what they are going through. That's where kindness can come into play. Kindness is free and I've never regretted being kind. Episode 161 dives deeper into into the idea of helping people along their "stepping stones". with love, Matthew

The two ideas in this episode are both things I want to continue to get better at. Let's talk about each one and what they can mean to us. As always, with love, Matthew leave a review of the podcast :) https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/be-kind-be-positive-be-yourself/id1446475536

I recently listened to an episode of the On Purpose podcast hosted by Jay Shetty. Jay was talking with Trevor Noah and they discussed the idea of not being grateful for the pain and suffering we go through. Instead, they say to be grateful for the qualities that help us push through those experiences. This was something that instantly clicked in my brain and I wanted to share my thoughts about it with y'all. Let me know what you think! with love, Matthew

Episode 159 is about active listening. We hear all the time that listening to others is important. Why? What’s the difference between listening and active listening? Let’s talk about it :) With love, Matthew
