Got some classic saucers for a classic summer. Hello everybody and welcome back to Bigfoot Collectors Club, the show where we talk to amazing guests about their parsi and all pyron normal history and share stories of high strangeness. Yeah. I'm your host, Michael McMillan, and with me always is the dark denizen of doodads and decibels.
Riley Bray
Something funny about the concept of a dark doodad.
Michael McMillan
Dark doodad. Yeah, it's true.
Riley Bray
Hey, Riley Bray. Hi.
Michael McMillan
Riley Bray is with us. We're back. Did you miss us? It's summertime now, which means that it is time to kick off our summer long series. It's an annual tradition and this year we're headed back to the realm of UAPs and UFOs. That's right, club Scouts. Welcome to Wet Hot Alien Summer Forever. Our forever, forever, our fourth edition of Wet Hot Alien Summer. All June, July and August, we will be sharing stories of high strangeness involving UFOs, UAPs, alien abductions and extraterrestrial right here on the free feed. And over on bcc, the other side. Happy Wet Hot Alien Summer Forever. Riley. I can't believe it's been four of these already.
Riley Bray
I know. You guys see what we did with that four there? Pretty clever, huh? Huh?
Michael McMillan
Huh? And we want to remind everybody that although we're back, the main feed is going to be dropping episodes every other Wednesday all summer long. So you'll get a new episode today and then next week on Wednesday, a new episode will drop On BCC the Other side, our bonus episode. And then the Wednesday after that main feed will be back. The Wednesday after that, it'll be on BCC the Other side, the bonus episode. If you are a member of BCC Clubhouse, you're gonna get your bonus episodes on the Other side, same amount, three episodes like you do every month. And they're just going to be dropping on alternating Wednesdays. And then where the math doesn't math when it gets really horse mathy. We will drop your third bonus month over on the Other side on the final Friday of the month. If you haven't checked out BCC the Other side over at the Clubhouse, then come join us@bcc.supercast.com we'd appreciate it because we're independent now. No network, just your boys.
Riley Bray
Yeah. So if you're not, you know, an official club scout on the Other side, you're getting a wet half alien summer.
Michael McMillan
It's true.
Riley Bray
But you know, sorry everybody. If you're a. If you're a full member, you're getting a wet 3/4 alien summer. Wet lum still.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, listen, we needed a wet fourth alien summer for ourselves, so we're just
Riley Bray
taking a. I need to go outside.
Michael McMillan
We need to go outside. We are doing some traveling. We have some other projects going on. So we just needed to create some space in our summer. But that doesn't mean that your summer is going to be any less kickass. And one of those reasons is we have brand new merch up in the BCC Merch shop on fourth Wall right now. You can get your Wet Hot Alien Summer Forever merch with artwork from our friend and yours, Monica Gallagher.
Riley Bray
That's right.
Michael McMillan
You can find her work at monica comics on instagram.com fellow club scout and amazing artist, we're so excited as we're recording this. Have we seen the final product? No, but we know it's going to be spectacular.
Riley Bray
So based on her work, we're confident. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
The link to our shop is always in the show notes of each episode. Just pop open this app on your podcast app. Scroll down in the episode description and you'll find both the link to our merch and BCC Clubhouse and other BCC related things. Okay, Riley, are you so excited to talk about UFOs again uninterrupted?
Riley Bray
I'm so pumped.
Michael McMillan
It's a good time to head back into this because obviously things have been in the News recently about UFOs and Steven Spielberg has a new UFO movie out this summer, which we will of course talk about. When the time comes. So I just kind of feel like it's in the air, so to speak. No pun intended. You know, it's good to get. It's been a couple, couple summers, right? I mean last summer was big strange vacation. So I think it's been two years and we're our theme this year. I didn't want to restrict it just to like the 60s. I think we're going to be taking some big swings at some stories that we haven't done before. Possibly revisit some that should be explored a little bit more. But I really like. I really want to like put the alien in. In wet hot alien summer again, you know, I really want to like. We do a lot of UFOs and we're going to do a big UFO story today that we've never done. But like, I don't want to forget the creatures, you know?
Riley Bray
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That spindly little arms and. Or tentacles, almond shaped eyes.
Michael McMillan
I'm. That's just one alien. We've got the Pascagoula aliens. They're like elephant crabs. Yeah, we've got the Michelin men. Don't forget about the Michelin men. How could you?
Riley Bray
Our puffy guy.
Michael McMillan
The mantids. Maybe we'll get into some mantids.
Riley Bray
Oh, I love a good. Love a good manted story.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, me too, me too. But why don't we kick things off, Riley, with bringing back an old chestnut, A segment that we haven't done for a long time. It's BCC's UFO roundup. Come on, get along, little saucer. That's right. We're going to take a look at the national UFO reporting. Was it Narcap? What's it called? National UFO Database. Come on, help me out here.
Riley Bray
Nightcap.
Michael McMillan
Nightcap. Thank you.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Well, did we go to nightcaps? We went to the National UFO Reporting Center. That's where we went.
Riley Bray
The.
Michael McMillan
This is just a place where you can go to report your UFO sightings. Nerc. Nerc. Hello everybody. My name is Nerk and I will be your guide for white hot aliens Summer forever. Hey, thanks, Newrick.
Riley Bray
Hey, all right. I like those. I like that denim ribbon. Nurk. You're looking good.
Michael McMillan
I was right. A Devon ribbon. My brother. Have you seen him around here? His name's Montana. Dan. What's the guy's name? Names. Montana. Dam. Narcap. Nap Nar. Nurap. My name is Nur. Nur.
Riley Bray
Cap.
Michael McMillan
And I'd like a nightcap, please.
Riley Bray
A nightcap for Mr. NCAP.
Michael McMillan
So we went to the National UFO Reporting Center's website. And we pulled some more recent UFO sightings. And I thought I would begin with our hometown of Los Angeles, California and surrounding SoCal environs. So I have UFO report from February, two from February and one from March of 2026. Okay, you want to hear this?
Riley Bray
I sure do.
Michael McMillan
Let's get into it. Okay, so this first one occurred on February 2, 2026, and it lasted for 10 minutes. Number of observ. Location, Hawthorne, California, USA. Location details, standing out in the park. This was a cigar. A cigar shaped craft. Silver, metallic. That's almost a classic saucer. Estimated size 260 to 400ft. Viewed from land, big boy. Angle of elevation, 20. Closest distance 1 to 2 miles. Estimated speed, Mach 10 to 50 plus 6,000 to 30,000 miles per hour for orbs. Characteristic emitted. Other objects, aircraft nearby. So we got zipping orbs around this thing.
Riley Bray
Cool.
Michael McMillan
So here's the eyewitness report.
Riley Bray
Okay.
Michael McMillan
Riley, do you want to read this one?
Riley Bray
Sure.
Michael McMillan
Here we go.
Riley Bray
So this is an Angelino. So I can just do it in my natural voice.
Michael McMillan
That's right.
Riley Bray
I was outside. No, I was outside during a perfectly clear daytime with deep blue skies, beautiful Los Angeles day, when I noticed an unusual object in the sky. It was metallic and cigar shaped, elongated, smooth and cylindrical, similar to classic cigar or Tic Tac descriptions I've seen in other reports.
Michael McMillan
This guy. By the way, as you read this, you can tell that this person is into UFOs?
Riley Bray
Yeah, this. This person was very excited. The surface appeared shiny and reflective, catching the sunlight distinctly. The object was spinning or rotating a full 360 degrees clockwise. As it moved, it rose steadily upward in a vertical or near vertical trajectory, continuing to ascend smoothly and silently until it became too small or distant to see and completely disappeared from view. There was no visible sound, no exhaust trail, no wings, lights or conventional propulsion features. The entire observation lasted about 10 minutes. Immediately after noticing it, I tried to film and photograph the object multiple times with my smartphone camera, including several longer recordings where I kept the phone pinpointed at the sky in the area where the object was visible to my naked eye. To my surprise, the cigar shaped object did not appear at all on the camera, neither in the live view viewfinder preview nor in any of the recorded videos. It was completely absent, invisible on the device, not even as a faint dot blur or artifact. Despite the clear daylight conditions and the fact that I framed it centrally in the longer clips based on where I was aiming while tracking it visually, a separate but related detail I Like hot dogs, they are delicious. And I don't care about the nitrates. They make me happy. Also accompanying the cigar object as it ascended was one very bright light that appeared to be tracking or following it upward into the sky. The bright light was clearly visible to my naked eye, distinct and luminous against the blue background, and was also captured on the video footage bottom right of frame for longer full videos. While the cigar object itself remained invisible throughout the footage, numerous small orb like objects, glowing or luminous spheres, were clearly visible moving in the sky. These orbs exhibited highly anomalous movements that defy conventional.
Michael McMillan
This is when I knew I was like this guy. This guy's listened to some podcasts.
Riley Bray
Highly anomalous. Yeah, you've, you've listened to some podcasts.
Michael McMillan
He's watched some Netflix documentaries.
Riley Bray
Oh ye. Hovering. Acceleration, deceleration without apparent inertia and extreme speeds. Notably, one orb performed a sharp right angle turn in approximately 0.02 seconds. Very specific measurement of time. Near instantaneous change of direction at 90 degrees. Another orb crossed a significant portion of the visible sky in under one second, so fast that it is very difficult to see or track. Without slowing the video playback dramatically, it appears as little more than a streak or flash. In normal speed, the orbs appeared independent and active with no correlation to planes, drones, balloons, birds, insects or no atmospheric phenomenon in the area. To the naked eye. During the event, I focus primarily on the prominent spinning cigar object rising and vanishing.
Michael McMillan
That's what I would be doing.
Riley Bray
Yeah, I did not notice the orbs in real time, possibly because they were smaller, fainter, faster, or my attention was locked on the main object. Only upon detailed review of the videos did the orbs and their extraordinary movements stand out clearly.
Michael McMillan
So I took a look at the video, which I couldn't really play in the link that they sent, otherwise we'd be watching it now. But I will put a link to it in the show notes. I mean it does look like. It does look like tiny, tiny faint bright objects in the bright blue sky. You know what I mean? A little, little hard to decipher but I mean I love the description of this, you know, spinning clockwise, cigar shaped
Riley Bray
dude, it's pretty wild account.
Michael McMillan
It's pretty wild and I like that this person clearly knows what they are talking about here. I'm going to throw up the link for you.
Riley Bray
They know. They know to rule out what it could be and you know what to rule out.
Michael McMillan
They know how to talk to people who love you. They know. They know how to talk like UFO nerds. So There you go. But I'll throw up the link for everybody and they can go take a look at the screenshots and stuff. But I couldn't. I was like, I can't get this to, like, play. And then the website was like. He said he uploaded five videos, but there were only, like, three things in here. So there might be some missing stuff. But I don't know. It's kind of weird that doesn't show up on lens, you know?
Riley Bray
That is super strange. Just the. Just the little fast boys.
Michael McMillan
Little fast boys, yeah. What do you think?
Riley Bray
Good sighting? I don't know. I mean, you know that this stuff is. Of all the things, this is the most consistent where I'm like, I mean, that sounds like that happened.
Michael McMillan
Yeah.
Riley Bray
You know, and not just like somebody was like, you know, hallucinating or whatever. It's like people are seeing these crafts.
Michael McMillan
They're seeing the stuff.
Riley Bray
This is happening.
Michael McMillan
It's definitely happening.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Here's another one that happened on February 2nd for 20 seconds. Number of observers, two. And this happened just down the road in West Hollywood, California. Oh. Location details. I was out back, and I heard a strange grinding, crackling noise far away and saw things in the sky. Shape, orb color blue. Changed to yellow. Estimated size. Get ready. Bean size from view.
Riley Bray
What does that mean?
Michael McMillan
It means that from where he's looking at it, it's a size of.
Riley Bray
A size of a bean. If. If the bean were. You could. You could occlude it with a bean.
Michael McMillan
Yes. Now, this is not a ufo. UFO nerd reporting this. This is also what I love about it.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Viewed from land. Direction. From viewer, southeast. Angle of elevation, 60 degrees. Closest distance, far space.
Riley Bray
Far space. Saw it in first base.
Michael McMillan
Estimated speed, not moving characteristics, aura or haze around the object. Change color. Now, here's the eyewitness report.
Riley Bray
Okay.
Michael McMillan
There was a grinding, crackling noise echoing through the sky. And then there were four orbs in the sky just hanging out there. There was a grinding, crackling noise echoing through the sky, and then there were four orbs in the sky just sitting there, and they changed from blue to yellow to blue. It took about five seconds for the orb to change from one color to another.
Riley Bray
Could have taken about five seconds to proofread that report.
Michael McMillan
That wasn't me. That was what it was.
Riley Bray
No, I know exactly how it was reported. Let's just write it and then write it again.
Michael McMillan
I love it. All right, we have another short one from March.
Riley Bray
This sounds a bit more like someone had a little too much nitrous in West Hollywood or something.
Michael McMillan
It was the size of a bean.
Riley Bray
Yeah, something's off about this one.
Michael McMillan
I know.
Riley Bray
I don't know why. My brain goes to nitrous for that too. But for some reason it all tracks. I don't know.
Michael McMillan
If you do nitrous, you see floating beans and hearing crackling noises. This is from March 7th. Lasted for about three to four minutes. With two observers in Los Angeles, California. Nearby the Hollywood area. Hollywood area, Los Angeles, California, USA Observation made from a third floor residential balcony. Shape fireball. Color white. Viewed from land. Angle of elevation 29. You want to read this one?
Riley Bray
Sure. Facing roughly west towards Santa Monica, Pacific Ocean. The object appeared near the direction of the setting sun. A single bright point of light, extremely luminous, appearing almost like a second sun. The object had no visible structure, shape, or blinking lights. It appeared as a steady, concentrated light source. The object maintained a constant apparent size and brightness the entire time it was observed. It did not appear to change shape, expand, shrink, or flicker. The object appeared at approximately the same elevation angle as the sun and giving the impression of two bright objects at similar height in the sky. Duration, approximately one to two minutes. Behavior Movement. For most of the observation period, the object appeared almost completely stationary relative to the sky. After remaining nearly motionless, it suddenly accelerated horizontally to the right and exited the visible area extremely quickly. The motion covered roughly three finger widths at arm's length in about one second. The movement looked instantaneous rather than gradual. Acceleration to keep going here.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, it's almost done.
Riley Bray
Trajectory, horizontal movement only. No noticeable vertical movement before departure. Is this person creating their own categories and then answering them, or is this.
Michael McMillan
I think that they must have questionnaires where you fill in, like, what's the trajectory? And then some people leave it blank. So then our buddy, just our buddy. The website just puts up what, however much they report this makes.
Riley Bray
I understand. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Two witnesses observed the object simultaneously. No sound was heard. Clear daylight conditions near sunset. Sun was visible near the horizon in the same general direction. Additional notes. The object remained the same brightness and apparent size throughout the observation. Did not dim, flash or leave a trail before rapidly moving out of view. A second sun. Riley who?
Riley Bray
Sons.
Michael McMillan
Two songs. Two Sons. I'm out here in Hollywood looking around all the time, and I haven't seen a goddamn thing in the sky yet. I know.
Riley Bray
I'm a little jealous. All these are right in our backyard. I didn't see anything. You know, Friend of the show last night, Jesse Payo texted me. Because she saw. She texted me like she pulled over and texted me a video of two bright lights in the sky and her going, what is this? What? Oh, my God. And they. They disappeared. She's out in the desert. But I think. I think we decided it. It was actually this time flares. Because there's a military.
Michael McMillan
They're gonna say, we did think this time it was Tucsons.
Riley Bray
Tucson, Arizona, baby. No, we said, there's a base out there. And we. We concluded that it was unfortunately not aliens. But what we did discuss is how great that feeling is in that moment where you go, is this happening?
Michael McMillan
Yeah.
Riley Bray
It's so exciting. But, yeah. Probably not. Probably not that one.
Michael McMillan
Probably not that one. I love it. Two sons love Jesse Payo. It's great. We're off to a great start. We'll be right back. So good, so good, so good. Learn more at Go Amex Graphite. Okay, Riley, before we get into this week's story of high strangeness, I have a brand new segment that I want to introduce. Now, I'm not sure what to call this. Okay, I was gonna call it Galactic Star of the Week, which is fine. And then I thought we could call it Summon that Alien.
Riley Bray
That's a much better title.
Michael McMillan
Okay, so get ready for Summon that Alien. So how this works is. I'm going to ask you. This is another. This is a classic. Riley picks a number.
Riley Bray
Oh, God.
Michael McMillan
Okay, now I. I'm cracking open.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
The Extraterrestrial Species Almanac. This is on my Kindle. The Ultimate Guide. Whoops. The Ultimate Guide to Gray's. God damn it. Sorry. Grays, Reptilians, hybrids and Nordics. And this is a book that is written by Craig.
Riley Bray
Damn it.
Michael McMillan
It won't stay. The thing won't Stay. Craig. Craig something. I can't wait. I need my reading glass. First of all, you know this is a good encyclopedia. When a drawing of at least one alien species looks like this.
Riley Bray
Oh yeah, like. Like they saw you from across the UFO and dug your vibe.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, it's like Lestat and Louis.
Riley Bray
Uh huh. Why can't. Why won't it?
Michael McMillan
Let me look at the COVID of this in my Kindle. Craig Campos. Campo Basso. Okay.
Riley Bray
Okay.
Michael McMillan
Look at this guy. Souls are being.
Riley Bray
Wow.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, he's great. Okay, so what. How this is going to work is you're going to pick a number between. There's a lot of numbers here. Okay, okay, you're gonna pick a number. Hold on everybody. This is. Now the aliens are not wanting to participate between, let's see, 2 and 270. No, 2. Yeah, 2 and 260. Okay, and then that's going to take us to a one of the chapters on one type of alien species in this encyclopedia. And then I'm going to read you about the species. So we're going to get to know our galactic neighbors a little bit better this summer.
Riley Bray
Okay, cool. Okay, I would like to hear about what alien is behind door number 136.
Michael McMillan
Behind door portal 136, the closest. Without going over. Whoa. You have summoned.
Riley Bray
What if it was a picture of me?
Michael McMillan
Well, Riley, it might be.
Riley Bray
Wait, what the fuck? Oh my God.
Michael McMillan
Wait, what? It is a picture of you.
Riley Bray
Also the fact that I made that joke and then you literally held up a drawing of me.
Michael McMillan
It is you. You're even wearing something similar.
Riley Bray
Right now I'm pretty much wearing the same coat.
Michael McMillan
Turn your head to the other direction.
Riley Bray
Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let me get this little side part going here.
Michael McMillan
Yeah.
Riley Bray
Okay.
Michael McMillan
You have summoned a Telosian.
Riley Bray
Hey, what's up? Oh, it's me. I'm a Telosian. Welcome to my mountain home.
Michael McMillan
Wow. Telosians. So their universal origin? Telos is an ancient Lemurian colony that relocated one mile beneath Mount Shasta in Northern California before its destruction.
Riley Bray
Shut up, dude. You know the Telos story, right? I'm distorting my mic. I'm so serious. Do you know about this? Have I not told you? This was.
Michael McMillan
Didn't somebody say you were from Telos?
Riley Bray
That's my name in the Aquarian. The Aquarians. I'm Telos. Aquarian. Note, like straight up, Jean. Aquarian gave me an Aquarian name. Look this up, you guys. Source family. It's some unbelievable LA lore.
Michael McMillan
I did know this, but I've forgotten this. And this is just to show we actually have summoned now until ocean and it's you.
Riley Bray
Well, are you not entertained? So not set up. You guys, this is actually happening.
Michael McMillan
Not at all. Riley didn't even know we were doing this. Telos is an ancient Lemurian colony that relocated one mile. One mile beneath Mount Shasta in Northern California before. Before its destruction. The city of Telos is the capital of the Agarthen Network and home to 1.5 million people. Its sister city, Catharia is beneath the Aegean Sea. Telos is governed by an ascended master council of 12. Six males and six females. Adama oversees Telos as High Priest of Melchizedek. He is an ascended master and has full knowledge and cognition of the reality and truth of the universe, as all ascended masters do. He's a walking encyclopedia on all subjects, as all ascended masters are. And he is a master of spiritual advisor to the people living in Telos. Physical characteristics Telosians are indistinguishable from Earth humans, except they are taller and broader. You might be a Telosian, my friend. That's what you belief system. Let's see how close you line up.
Riley Bray
Okay.
Michael McMillan
Telosians believe in the cosmic law of 1. They work directly with the Melchizedek priesthood. Master teachers, universal scholars. Versed on all subjects. Telosian see God as the source of all creation. This divine source individualized itself into components of itself and sent them out into the creation to experience love in all diversified forms. They say Earth's surface dwellers experience sickness and pain because our separation dualistic nature from God.
Riley Bray
I was with it till the last part.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, yeah. Cosmic agenda. As members of the Galactian Alignment, Telosians wish to share information on attaining advanced consciousness, allocating tools to prepare us mentally, emotionally and spiritually when our consciousness shifts. For on Earth's surface, their civilization will come up and serve as guides. And into the new age of awareness, there will be a sort of citizen exchange where some of their civilization will come live on the surface, while some surface dwellers will be invited to live in Telos or another part of Agartha. Telosians confirmed that there are dark civilizations that thrive underground as well, such as Grays and Reptilians. They are working to combat these groups for the benefit of all of our Gaia, as well as for our benefit. So far they seem to be winning. And then there's a bunch of stuff about their technology, which is amino based computer systems.
Riley Bray
Cool. And then they computer.
Michael McMillan
They're the ones flying around the silver disc shapes. Their silver fleets are discus shaped craft that venture out into Earth's atmosphere to survey the world Using Amino based organic computers that are linked throughout the solar systems in our galaxy and Agarthen network. The readouts are fed to their entire fleet. Those in command of Earth operations as well as the Galactarian alignment for processing and consultation. Electromagnetic vehicles are used for travel within cities. And electromagnetic bullet trains. When traveling to other underground cities, a
Riley Bray
weirdly human technology used.
Michael McMillan
All vehicles levitate a few inches off the ground. The sun in Telos is a crystal brought from another world that were bur that will burn for 1 million years. It regulates a perfect daily temperature of 70 to 75 degrees.
Riley Bray
Yeah, bro.
Michael McMillan
So cal Aliens, bro. Always.
Riley Bray
Always Sunny. And Telos, my guy.
Michael McMillan
Telosian homes are round and made from a crystal stone that emits light. It's like a one way mirror. You can see out but not in. So you can't see those Telosians.
Riley Bray
Yeah, and they're in their High Council. Polycule, dude.
Michael McMillan
I'm releasing a summer track called Tello 69.
Riley Bray
Hell yeah.
Michael McMillan
They use crystal light technology to illuminate tunnels and caverns. They can cure any illness and replace limbs or organs by using the body's etheric blueprint. Well, hey, maybe it's time to come up and help everybody out. Guys. Where were you during 2020? Consciousness abilities? Telosians are fully conscious, sovereign and telepathic beings. Besides verbal speech, they speak the language of light dimensional capacity. The Agartha Network Council say Earth will move directly into the fifth dimension because the fourth will no longer exist as it is being removed by the universal spiritual hierarchy as part of our accelerated ascension.
Riley Bray
I love the guys.
Michael McMillan
Fourth dimension. Get the demolished fourth dimension.
Riley Bray
So over you guys. Fifth dimension now.
Michael McMillan
And it says that St. Count St. Germain was a Telosian. Remember him? The Ascended Master? I mean, I cannot believe you asked if you'd summoned yourself and then this was the picture.
Riley Bray
It's really crazy. And then the name is my actual name in a New age culture. Pretty weird stuff, guys. Pretty weird stuff.
Michael McMillan
So did you join the cult?
Riley Bray
Well, it's a loose join. It's not really active anymore. It's more of like kind of like an honor to get an Aquarian name.
Michael McMillan
And like, how did you get it again?
Riley Bray
Okay, so quick, quick, condense.
Michael McMillan
Guys. This is a personal paranormal history. Here we go.
Riley Bray
There was a New age group in the 1960s called the Source Family. And they were led by a character named Father Yoda, who was a. This guy is a Trip. He was like a marine and then he became like a spiritualist. And anyways, it's this like hippie commune and they had this huge house in I think Malibu. And like they also opened the first vegetarian restaurant on Sunset Boulevard.
Michael McMillan
Oh yes. This is what I knew about them.
Riley Bray
But so they also had this band called Yehoah 13 and Gin Aquarian were getting to me was in. He was the guitar player in this band. And this band used to like go to like, you know, like Fairfax High and like play a show and they played this like super soupy psychedelic music. And then Father Yod, who was not really a musician, would just sort of like rant on the mic. There's some recordings of it. It's pretty awesome. But so just in the world of like Los Angeles music and whatever, I met Jin Aquarian who was, you know, much. It's like probably in his 60s ish something when I met him. He's this guy, he lived in Mount Shasta. He's like a little like, kind of like. It's like a little gnome man. He's like this most magical. He's just such a lovely, wonderful person. I love this guy. So we're just like get to hanging out because we're just sort of LA musician guys. And then he's like, well, you know, I'm still doing Yohoa. I'm calling it Yohoah 33. Do you want to play in the band? I was like, of course I want to play in the band Jinn duh. And in Yohoha 33 I played sitar and tablas because of course I did. And so in order to join the band, he's like, well, you know, if you want to be in the band, you're going to have to be in the Source family. You need a Source family name. And I was like, jyn, that would be just such an honor. And he kind of like. He just sort of channels it. So he kind of. We had this long eye contact and he said, your telos, Aquarian. And I went, I love that name. That is a cool name. And yeah, it was a blast. We played a bunch of shows. The weirdest show we played was at Cheetahs, the Bikini Bar. It's not quite a strip club, but it's Cheetah not a strip club.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. For those of you don't know, this is like classic sort of burlesque bar that's not like it's a women come out and dance, but it's. It's sort of a striptease they don't take everything off at all. So it's kind of.
Riley Bray
They're like similar to Jumbos, but, like,
Michael McMillan
similar to Jumbos, but a little bit more tame, right?
Riley Bray
Yeah, I think a little.
Michael McMillan
Little. I mean, I haven't been there in 20 years, probably, but we played this
Riley Bray
set of like, sort of psychedelic, rambling jam music while these, like, women were dancing on poles and, like, you know, this, like, little gnome man's, like, playing guitar. And I was just like. I was like, still in my 20s then. I think, man, LA is awesome. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Playing a show at Cheetahs. Sign me up, dude.
Riley Bray
And I'm sitting. I'm sitting there barefoot, playing a sitar.
Michael McMillan
Like tonight at Cheetahs. Tell us Aquarian.
Riley Bray
Yeah, it was just. I. I kind of lost track of Jen. But I really liked that guy. He's a good. I'm sure he's probably. He's probably up at Shasta.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. Let's get them on the show. Let's talk.
Riley Bray
That was my induction into the Source family. Not that many people have been inducted in the later years.
Michael McMillan
That is crazy. That's crazy, guys. Synchronicity is already happening. There's real magic happening. Wet High Alien Summer forever. When we come back, it's going to be time for the first Wet Hot High strangeness.
Riley Bray
Oh, boy.
Michael McMillan
Of 2026. Okay, Riley.
Riley Bray
Okay, Michael.
Michael McMillan
It's time for Wet Hot high strangeness. And 2026 marks a notable anniversary. No, I'm not Talking about the 30th anniversary of Kevin Costner's seminal golf comedy, Tin Cup.
Riley Bray
I thought that's what you were talking about.
Michael McMillan
Listen, I love Renee Russo. I'm actually referring to a mass UFO sighting that took place in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, 60 years ago this year in Australia, a large group of school children and teachers ran outside their school building to see a cluster of silver discs hovering over the playground in broad daylight. What started as an exciting moment on a boring school day quickly turned into chaos that resulted in a major UFO cover up. Hey, Riley, do you hear that bell? School's out for the summer and Wet Hot Alien summer is in session. This week on High Strangeness, we are checking out the Westall UFO incident.
Riley Bray
Cool.
Michael McMillan
Now, you were nodding your head. Have you heard about this? Because you're kind of nodding along.
Riley Bray
I have heard about this because I used to tour with this band from Australia called the Delta Rigs. And they told me about this on tour once because this is a big. It's a big Australian. Big Australian story.
Michael McMillan
It's like probably the biggest Australian story. I mean maybe, maybe not. I but I think it's a contender to be the biggest one. And to me it has echoes of Roswell, it has echoes of the Virginia UFO crash, although there's no UFO crash in this story. And I feel even though that there are a lot of UFO documentary filmmakers, including James Fox who did the aerial school phenomenon stuff and the, the Netflix the phenomenon. There are a lot of people that are like they're still the witnesses who are alive. A lot of the kids are still alive. Now a lot of the faculty has passed but I think they're still uncovering stuff about this and people may have seen there was a lot of this going around in April when, around the 60th anniversary. Like I saw a lot of clips of interviews on, on social media. They just did a big like 30 minute special about this case again and that is one of the primary sources. And then I did not write down the name of this so bad. I meant to jot it down but I found it on YouTube. But then another major primary source is Westall 66 which is a UFO documentary from 2010. The other one is like an Australia television specialist. I think it's just called Westall or something. I'll look it up but I'll put that in the show notes so you guys will have it, have it there. But here we go. The Westall UFO incident. April 6, 1966 was a beautiful day. Clear skies, some high winds, but made perfect by the fact that it was the second to last day of school in the term. The children of Westall High School were making their way through the day with the that end of the year jitters completely unprepared for the life altering experience that was about to rattle their cozy suburban lives. Now west hall was and is obviously still a thriving suburb. It's in the province of Victoria, Australia I think they call it. It's in Victoria, Australia. Do they call them provinces like in Canada? It's a very typical suburban area, neighborhoods, shops, schools. But there's also a lot, a lot of and still today fields and farmlands. So it feels and looks very similar to the American Midwest. Like where I grew up in the Kansas City suburbs. And it's a high school but because their school systems are a little bit different, you know, in areas of the country the kids, it's more like middle school. Here in the States the kids involved in this story are like 12 to 13 years old. So I think university is high school and then or college is high School and then universities, university. It's like different over there, you know?
Riley Bray
All right, yeah. Right.
Michael McMillan
So high school means something. A different age group than. Than we're used to.
Riley Bray
Right. Uni.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. So a group of you students were hanging out in the playground area, referred to as the oval. And one by one, the kids looked up to see a cluster of three metallic discs hovering over the neighboring power lines. Now, when you look up the story, most sources, including the original newspaper article, describe there just being one object, but the eyewitnesses say that there were definitely more than one. And there are three that we're sort of keep tracking of in this story. But the eyewitnesses would say, like, you'd look up and they would almost vanish and reappear in the sky and they would change color. Were silver, but they would change colors and sometimes look purple and sometimes look translucent. But they did a similar thing to the aerial school, where they would like, like blink out and blink back in over here. So there might have been some, like, time distortion stuff phasing in and out. Phasing in and out, yeah. So former student Colin Kelly claims that there wasn't just one, but three objects. A large one flanked by two smaller flying objects. They just elevated while on their sides and disappeared at an ungodly speed, he said. Ken Stallard, who was playing on the blacktop that day, describes the objects as, quote, large, easily visible, circular, silver. Everyone says they were the size of about two sedans or two family cars, which I find very fun. So they're like, they're two car size, like it would. You could fit eight people in there comfortably.
Riley Bray
Yeah, yeah.
Michael McMillan
One of the children took off and ran into the school, bursting into the classrooms one by one and shouting, flying saucers. There's flying saucers outside. Minutes later, as the bell rang, instead of filing one by one to their next class, the children burst out the back door of the school and ran out to the oval to catch a glimpse of the small fleet of saucers on display in the bright daylight. One of the former students, Marilyn Smith, recalls watching the objects while standing on a fence next to her friend. They were both crying, she remembers. They thought it was the end. End of the world. I mean, what would you think?
Riley Bray
It's 1966. Yeah, yeah.
Michael McMillan
You don't know that this isn't happening everywhere, you know?
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
One of the teachers produced a camera and started clicking away, firing off shots at the objects. And sadly, these pictures would never see publication. So not long after the children and teachers had gathered outside, a squadron of small airplanes, civilian aircraft, it's believed probably Cessnas, appeared and began chasing after the saucers.
Riley Bray
That is so Australian.
Michael McMillan
Just like five planes come in and
Riley Bray
they're just on it, just civilian craft. They're like just.
Michael McMillan
Well, that's what they say in all of these interviews over and over again was how quickly, like there was a response to these objects in the sky. And there's a mystery as to who were in those planes. But as you're going to see, there was kind of this weird quick response and then sort of a, an effort to shut it all down very quickly.
Riley Bray
Interesting.
Michael McMillan
Okay, so the kids would talk about now grown talked about watching the discs shooting up into the air and then back down again. And these displays of aerial movement, almost as if they were teasing the pilots of the airplanes, like, ah, look what I can do, I can go boop, boop up here, boop down here. And the planes are just like circling back around and trying to get close to them and they couldn't get anywhere near them.
Riley Bray
Like an aerial keep away kind of vibe.
Michael McMillan
Yes. During the in air game of cat And Mouse, the UFOs flew off at high speed speeds. However, one of the discs shot a few blocks away from the school and began descending behind the trees into a wooded area frequented by the kids called the Grange. A handful of kids, including one Terry Peek, a self described naughty gal, jumped. I love, she's like, I was a bit of a naughty girl. She jumped the the fence and made a mad dash for the Grange and she arrived just behind two of her cohorts, two girls. And when she came to the clearing where the saucer had landed, she discovered that one of her classmates, Jacqueline Argent, was standing there crying while her friend Tanya lay on the ground unconscious at her feet. So this unconscious girl, Tanya is talked about in a few of these documentaries. And Jacqueline Argent told this investigator, Sean, where's, where is he? In my notes here, I think it's like Sean Ryan is his name. We'll get to him in a little bit. But she said my friend Tanya like fell ill. She like passed out and then she, Jacqueline ran back to school and Tanya got, made her way back to school, but she said an ambulance came to the oval and they loaded up Tanya, the girl that had fallen and unconscious near the saucer. And she said she never came back to the school. She doesn't know what happened to her. Yeah, she was like, that was the last day she was ever at school and we never saw her again.
Riley Bray
That's crazy.
Michael McMillan
Which is very weird. Yeah. But Terry, the third girl who ran up behind them, said that the saucer must have been on the. Landed completely on the ground because there were like. There was a swirling pattern of yellow grass where it had made contact. But when she came up, it was hovering just above the ground. And then she watched as the vehicle rose into the air, tilted on its side, and then shot off into the sky.
Riley Bray
Wow.
Michael McMillan
She said, it just moved insanely fast. And that side tilt is important because we're going to come back to that a little bit.
Riley Bray
Okay.
Michael McMillan
So Victor Krasinski, another former student, said that the two other saucers landed in a field in the other direction from the Grange that he and his friends ran to. And he was standing at a fence, and all the kids were looking at these two saucers in a field. And there's a road where the field is today, so the road's been paved over. And Victor said, I heard somebody say, don't get anywhere near it. And so he's like, all right, I'm going to hop the fence and get close to it. And he ran up to one and two other boys ran up to the other one. And Victor said he took Shane Ryan. Shane Ryan is the filmmaker, and he took him out to the side in 2010. And he said this. You don't have to do an accent, but you're good. If you want to, you can just play it. You don't have to do it. I'm not doing it. I don't want to get in trouble.
Riley Bray
Oh, well, I. The Australians are very, very, very different. Go for it.
Michael McMillan
If you want to take a stab, go for it now.
Riley Bray
I'm okay. I got off to it. Wanting. Nope, that's English. I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to do it, guys. I'm not going to do it. I got up to it, wanting to touch it. You could feel the heat coming off it about a meter away. I'm doing it. It was fairly warm. About a minute or so later, both of them just lifted up at the same time. It was breathtaking watching that. They just created. I lost it again. He just gradually lifted. Lifted up and went off over the points. No seams, no joints, just smooth metal.
Michael McMillan
That's right.
Riley Bray
Kind of.
Michael McMillan
That's not bad.
Riley Bray
Not bad. Tough accent, the Australian. It's so easy to go New Zealand or English.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, it's very hard for me, which is why I avoid it. Back at the school, police and men in camouflage and military uniforms began to arrive. Other eyewitnesses describe the sudden Presence of blue uniformed officers and men in camouflage swooping into Westall High. The kids were all ushered back inside as the press arrived and started encircling the building. It was suddenly a circus. Shortly after the incident, one of the teachers was monitoring the hallways, making sure the kids were back in the classroom, when he saw that female teacher who had been taking pictures have her camera confiscated by the mysterious men in uniforms. That camera and the roll of film were never returned and never saw the light of day. An hour or two later, Headmaster Frank Sambly, who was by all accounts a by the book stuffed shirt, called the faculty and children into the auditorium for an assembly and said in no uncertain terms that what they had witnessed today was not to be discussed with anyone. Not the press, not the other children, no one. And he was so hardcore about this. One of the women said that she didn't even talk to her parents about it.
Riley Bray
Wow.
Michael McMillan
She was just like, okay, we're not allowed to talk about it, so I'm gonna. She went home. She never brought it up again until, like, much later in life. And they were like, wait, what the. Was all of that UFO stuff?
Riley Bray
Yeah. Crazy.
Michael McMillan
And they had seen. And he said that what they had actually just all witnessed was what? Right, Riley?
Riley Bray
Weather balloon.
Michael McMillan
That's right. They went with weather balloon.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Now, the press was still hanging outside the school when the kids were dismissed for the day. And a few of them stopped for the channel. Nice news channel 9 news cameras and newspapers and described what they had witnessed. Marilyn Smith, the girl who. The woman who. The girl who had been standing on the fence crying with her friend. She was interviewed by the Dana Dong Journal, which published her picture and her eyewitness testimony. And for that, she received detention the next day. And that's what she said. She said it was worth it.
Riley Bray
Legend.
Michael McMillan
And one of the other girls was on the Channel 9 news, and she watched that night. She's like, there I am. I'm on tv. But it wasn't just the children who talked. One of the teachers, Andrew Greenfield, who had watched the objects with the students out in the oval that day, also spoke to the Journal. And for that transgression, Headmaster Stly told him he was on probation and would lose his job if he ever talked about it, talked about flying saucers to anyone ever again. And for that reason, and perhaps due to influences outside of the school and perhaps even outside the Australian government, Greenwood would not speak about the incident again until 2025. And even then, he would not allow his face to. To be on camera. I Was told that I would be prosecuted and that I had to keep quiet about it. Why did I have to keep quiet? So what was this outside pressure we're referring to? Well, a number of the kids were visited by men in suits and skinny ties and sat down and questioned over and over again about what they had seen. And that went for faculty members as well. And one of the things that they talk about is that these like vans and trucks started showing up. There was a farmer who was like out, out at his field and he saw men in camouflage with like metal, what looked like metal detectors out in the fields. And the, I guess that the blue uniforms were not worn by Australian Air Force at the time and camouflage was not worn, but that was like American military colors. And there were American military bases in Melbourne. So they think the US government was swooping in on this.
Riley Bray
Right.
Michael McMillan
And there are some theories that like this was like they were already tracking these objects when, when all of this went down.
Riley Bray
That makes sense.
Michael McMillan
But no one would talk. This was like the weird thing is like the, the silencing worked on everybody. And the Journal, the Dan and Jong Journal was like super frustrated by all of this. And their story that was published the next day asked all the right questions with a headline that read Flying Saucer Mystery School Silent. So what they asked what was the flying saucer that had been seen and who were flying, who was, who were flying the five mysterious planes that chased after them. Despite reaching out to the local airfields, the Melbourne airport, the Royal Australian Air Force, their search for an explanation of the scrambled planes met dead end after dead end. And Headmaster Sambly was definitely not talking. So like it was shut down really quickly. And by the following day the public was being told what the kids had seen, that it was just a weather balloon. And Colin Kelly, who had been there that day, said they were faster than
Riley Bray
any aircraft of the common day. There's no way known they were weather balloons.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, they weren't weather balloons. They weren't carrying anything. They didn't have a payload on them. These things were zipping around the sky. They were definitely not weather balloons.
Riley Bray
No. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
No, no. It's insane. But it's important to note too that the students and teachers were not the only eyewitnesses that day. 16 year old Paul Smith had been working in the market garden near the school and had seen at least one of the discs describing it as silver but changing color and quote, becoming translucent at the same time. At first he thought it was a plane flying low above the power lines, but then Quickly realized, no, it's not an airplane. It's just sitting above the power lines in the sky. It's possible that the strange craft had been in the area of Westall for a few days. We have a few strange stories and one photograph that partly corroborates what was seen on April 6. On April 2, an electrical engineer by the name of James, James Kibble was sitting in his backyard in the suburb of Baldwin when suddenly a sudden flash of light caught his eye in the sky. He looked up and saw what looked like a silver disc tipped on its side. Kind of looked like, he said, a silver mushroom. He snapped a polaroid of the object, and it pretty much matches the description of the object seen on April 2, almost exactly down to the description of them tilting on their sides. And you'll see in this picture, it's a really nice, bright, beautiful scan of the polaroid.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
And there's a zoomed in there. It is just this silver object that looks like a silver disc kind of bowl shape. And all of the kids described that it had like a top and then it had a domed disc middle and then something protruding from the bottom. And it looks just like this thing. I mean, it looks like a bicycle bell almost, you know.
Riley Bray
Yeah, that's a good. Yeah, it. It does, yeah.
Michael McMillan
And he said a few moments after he took the photo, the object took off and it moved. It disappeared almost instantaneously. When asked how fast he was, like, it was almost instantaneous. This thing tilted. It was on its side and shot off.
Riley Bray
But before that, it was just. Just parked. It was chilling.
Michael McMillan
It's just hovering. And then it went and shot off, but it flew away at that side angle. Just like Terry Crew, I think her name was not Terry Crew, the actor. That girl Terry had described, that woman Terry had described singing when she was a girl taking off from the Grange.
Riley Bray
Wow, this is a really good photo.
Michael McMillan
I know, it's great. I think it's one of the best UFO photos we probably have. And I like that.
Riley Bray
This guy's like, you know, a technical person.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, he was an engineer. I think he was an electrical engineer, he said, but he was an engineer. So he was like, well, yeah, this isn't like this, this. And he said, this was no man made engineering. He was like, there was nothing like this. He was like. He was like so convinced he was not looking at anything earthly when he
Riley Bray
saw no reason to believe this guy's just like hoaxing this. Throwing out metallic object, taking a.
Michael McMillan
He didn't even.
Riley Bray
Right.
Michael McMillan
I don't Think he even like produced the. He might have produced a photo after the story came. I do think it was published in a paper. But like, he was just like a. He's just kind of like a kindly down toe dude. He was just like sitting there, looked up, took a photo. He said he moved the Polaroid so fast that he smashed the camera into his nose. And he remembers bumping his nose really hard. And Chuck, he kind of chuckles at that. And it's a little. Yeah, it's a good little detail that you're like, oh, this guy. This guy's a real dude. He's just a real guy.
Riley Bray
What a shot.
Michael McMillan
And then there's this other wild story that happened on April 4, two days later. There was a guy, civilian named Ron Sullivan, and he was driving in central Victoria down a wooded road. And he said that he saw this strange light coming through the trees next to the road. And this cone shaped column of light came out towards the edge of the road. And he said his car started doing this crazy thing where it was being pulled towards the light. He said his headlights bended. The beams of his headlights bended towards this giant building light. It was bending light.
Riley Bray
Space time disruption. Like a propulsion system.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, I get chill. This actually gives me goosebumps thinking about it. And he said he had a wrestle with his car to keep it straight and it'd be pulling him towards the object and then he'd overcorrect and it'd be pulling him. He was like going towards this tree and he managed to like main can keep control of the car. And he drove past and he just kept driving because he was so freaked out. And he didn't tell this story until the only reason he came out and told police about this story was that he had read a story that a young man had crashed his car into the same tree across from where the lights were two days earlier.
Riley Bray
Whoa.
Michael McMillan
And he was like, that's the exact same spot where I saw this light and I almost crashed. So he went to. He would have. He said, I wouldn't have told anybody this story otherwise. And he went to the police and told them. The cops came to his house and some men, like mysterious men came and looked at his car and they asked about his headlights. And they're like, we're gonna, we're gonna take a look at these headlights and we'll get back to you. And they're took his headlamps from his car and he's like, let me know what you find out. They're like, sure thing. Mr. Sullivan. And they never came back.
Riley Bray
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Michael McMillan
He's like, I never heard from them again.
Riley Bray
Wow.
Michael McMillan
But isn't that weird? The headlights bending is wild.
Riley Bray
Light bending is true. Because that defies our physics. It's like, I know you can't do that.
Michael McMillan
It's strange. That must mean there's some sort of like a black spacetime warp around the object, which is. Yeah, you know, I don't know. So 60 years later, there is still no official record of the Westal UFO incident ever having taken place. The government's never acknowledged it. Like, no, there's. There's not been like, a release of any files on this thing. Even the Channel nine news segment no longer exists. Sean Ryan, while making his documentary, went to track down the original footage. He found that there was that date. It was April 6, that night that he found the date. He could find it in the catalog. He went into the archives where all the canisters of film still were big stacks. He went through the stacks, he found the canister, he opened it, and there was no film inside.
Riley Bray
Dude.
Michael McMillan
So that.
Riley Bray
That's a smoking gun if there ever was one.
Michael McMillan
Like the film, the film of the news report was taken.
Riley Bray
Whoa.
Michael McMillan
So the events of April 6, 1966, six exist now only in the hearts and minds of the surviving eyewitnesses and thanks to investigators and filmmakers like Sean Ryan. Although the Australian government will not admit that it actually happened, the Westall UFO incident will not be forgotten as long as we remember and ensure its legacy lasts forever.
Riley Bray
Forever.
Michael McMillan
There you go. The Westall UFO incident.
Riley Bray
Man, that's a good one.
Michael McMillan
Good stuff, right?
Riley Bray
This one really smells like some government cover up, some major programs, some reverse engineering.
Michael McMillan
Yep, yep.
Riley Bray
That's what a lot of systems.
Michael McMillan
A lot of people think that this was like maybe governmental craft that people are seeing. And like, here's my thing too, with the whole weather balloon thing. The weather balloon thing makes me feel like even more than ever that there really was something to the Roswell crash. Because I feel like up until a certain point in time, and I would certainly stay still in the 1960s, it worked as an excuse.
Riley Bray
Right.
Michael McMillan
I mean, it's not that like everybody believed it, but it stopped. It was good conversation.
Riley Bray
Yeah. It was like metallic. It's sciency. It's. It's sort of still kind of new.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. And I think that they. I think they would only do that if they knew that worked as an excuse and was. Still was like. And that was created at Roswell. Right. That was when the excuse, the the, the, the explanation, the false explanation was created on the fly. And then I think they went, well, this works. And for at least 20 years, 25 years, they were like, well, we know what we can say because people will buy it or it'll at least get people to. It's just enough disinformation out there to put out there to make everything blurry. And I think after a while they're like, okay, this excuse doesn't work any anymore. But in order for them to still be using it in 1966, it must mean that it actually worked as a cover up.
Riley Bray
Right.
Michael McMillan
And I think where it actually worked first was at Roswell. Now, I'm not saying that the Roswell crash were in fact alien. I don't know. I tend to lean that way. But it could have been experimental aircraft, other stuff that they didn't want, you know, the public to know about. So they just pulled out the weather balloon thing. But I think they're like, this works. We say this, that's the protocol when this, when this accidentally gets leaked and civilians see it. This literally there is a written out playbook. And this is what we do because this is what we developed after Roswell.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
And I think after a while people were just like, weather balloon doesn't work for us anymore, buddy. You know what I mean?
Riley Bray
But what it. In the. It has the opposite effect then where it's like, it becomes like a dog whistle of like they're covering this up.
Michael McMillan
But in 1947, it worked. After a couple days once the press was like, it's weather balloon. People didn't talk about it for 30 years.
Riley Bray
Yeah, yeah.
Michael McMillan
And then with this, they said that like part of the whole Westall thing is like, it wasn't talked about for a very long time. People just forgot about it. People put it away.
Riley Bray
They.
Michael McMillan
Again, this was like a period where I think like authority still really just like people listen to authority overall.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
You're like, okay. You know, and I think it just worked. It's still. I, Yeah, I just think that people just moved on with their lives in a way that the Internet would absolutely not allow for today.
Riley Bray
No, not at all. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
And I think it was only later in their lives that they started to look back and this story gained popularity again and they're like, yeah, what the. Did we see? Yeah, you know?
Riley Bray
Yeah. Crash retrieval, reverse engineering, exotic propulsion program.
Michael McMillan
Weird stuff.
Riley Bray
My mind goes.
Michael McMillan
It just also makes me wonder, like, what did the, what did Tanya, the little girl see? Like, what, what did some of the other kids Experience before, after, or during that they never talked about. You know what I mean? Did we get any, like, occupant, alien, extraterrestrial, any type of, like, in the aerial school? This reminds me a lot of the aerial school case.
Riley Bray
Very much. Very, very.
Michael McMillan
You know.
Riley Bray
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Michael McMillan
It's a good one. It's a really good one.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
I love it. I'll put links to a few documentaries that people can watch and.
Riley Bray
And.
Michael McMillan
And see more of the. Of the people involved and hear some more eyewitness testimony. So I'll put links to that in the show notes.
Riley Bray
Cool.
Michael McMillan
It's good stuff. All right, Riley. Well, that wraps up our very first episode of Wet Hot Alien Summer for forever. Before we leave, should we swing by the collector's corner? Anything that you want to recommend watching, reading, collecting, anything?
Riley Bray
I mean, I watched that movie that I talked about a little bit on the other side, but I. Oh, tell
Michael McMillan
us about that real quick.
Riley Bray
Okay. It's a paranormal movie about grief, but it centers around a paranormal podcaster. And even Caitlin was like, that's not how podcasting works. She and her podcasting partner would jump on to record for about 10 minutes at a time and do a scene and then be like, we'll pick this up tomorrow, and then just hang up. Anyways, I don't know how to say what I think about it without ruining the movie. And it's a new movie, so I'm not going to.
Michael McMillan
Okay.
Riley Bray
But I found it distasteful.
Michael McMillan
You almost got a spit take for me. Great. I mean, would you say. Would you recommend Club Scouts? Check it out.
Riley Bray
I mean, like, kind of. And, like, part of me, like, narcissistically, was like, the writers have definitely listened to our show. I love that just as part of the research, because it's just. It's really like they're. I mean, they're making a paranormal podcast, and we are one of them. Okay.
Michael McMillan
Okay. So just for that, it's called Undertone.
Riley Bray
Undertone. Yeah. It was funny because it was billed as, like, this movie is so scary, you're gonna vomit and shit your pants in fear kind of movie. And it wasn't. Really wasn't at all. And the final message and note that it landed on I. I found irritating. I'm on a theme of being irritated by movies lately.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, we watched a movie. I guess it's last week, as this drops, that we. If you want to go check out our latest movie club episode, we watched Bigfoot.
Riley Bray
It's a fun document.
Michael McMillan
We closed out our Bigfoot colonoscopy trilogy, which is where we watched three Bigfoot movies with a colon in the title.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Boggy Creek 2 colon, and the legend continues. Yeti colon, giant of the 20th century, and Bigfoot Colon, the Lost Coast Tapes. And Riley was very irritated by that
Riley Bray
last one I did. I didn't like it, guys. So mad.
Michael McMillan
So go listen to that for sure.
Riley Bray
But if you want to watch something that will make you laugh and you'll like it, I'm gonna plug it one more time. I have nothing to do with this movie, but my friends made it and are in it. The Napa Boys is now on digital. You can watch it on Amazon or whatever. It will leave you scratching your head and going, how did they make this movie? And who let them? And what.
Michael McMillan
But I love it.
Riley Bray
I promise you, it's a good time.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, I'm definitely gonna watch it.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Let's see. What am I watching right now? I just started, and we're a little bit in the time machine here. As of this recording, the season two of Beef dropped on Netflix, and I had not seen season one, and so I was like, well, I want to watch season two because I hear it's really good, and I heard season one was really good, so I guess it's time to get caught up. And I. I think it's. I'm only a few episodes in, but I'm really liking it. Steven Yoon is such a good actor.
Riley Bray
He's really, really good.
Michael McMillan
He's so good. And Ali Wong is great in it too, but, like, he is playing such. And the writing is really good. He's playing such a specific personality type because the show is a lot about rage and what, like, anger that you carry with you for a long time, how it manifests, you know, and it manifests in this show and in real life in many bad ways if left unchecked and unproductive ways. And Steven Yun is just playing this guy because he's so. He's such a charming, likable guy, but his character in the show irritates everybody and, like, nobody wants to be around him. Everybody finds him annoying. He's. He's. He's saying positive things a lot of the time, but it's very like. Like, shut up. You know, like, this guy is like.
Riley Bray
And.
Michael McMillan
And he nails that pocket, that balance of being annoying and angry but also sympathetic all at the same time. Like, I don't know how he's doing it in the show, and it's fascinating to watch, and I don't even really recognize him. You Know, in this role, like, I feel like. Like whatever he's doing internally is just, like, physically transforming him as well. Like, he's. He's really good.
Riley Bray
So.
Michael McMillan
God, what a good actor. Damn. It's one of those where I watch, I'm like, I wish I was this good. You know, like, this guy's teaching.
Riley Bray
I know that feeling. Yeah, yeah. Effortless mastery. And you're like, oh, man.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, he's just one of those guys, too. Like, you're watching and like, he was like this on Walking Dead even. You're just like, I like looking at the. Like, I can't keep my eyes off with this.
Riley Bray
Yeah, some people you just do. Just so interesting to watch. Yeah, it's something about that. Like the unguarded moment or something. It's like, see, like, some actors give you this thing where you just feel like you're really seeing a person. I guess that's the definition of the vulnerability.
Michael McMillan
No, it's the vulnerability. But I think you're right. I mean, a lot of actors go out there with a mask on and they're like, I'm. Michael is gone, and now Ricardo is here. I don't know why I got cast
Riley Bray
in that role in the I Love Lucy reboot.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And the very misguided I Love Love Lucy biopic where a white man was hired to play.
Riley Bray
Yeah, that could have been made in 2009.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. But anyway, some people wear their, you know, wear the character as a mask, and then other people are just like, Philip Seymour Hoffman was this way where, like, he would play, like, these big characters, but he's just, like, so vulnerable and so real at the same time.
Riley Bray
You just can't stop watching it, man.
Michael McMillan
I know. God damn. Anyway, the. But Beef season one.
Riley Bray
Yeah, really good. That's a good reminder.
Michael McMillan
And allegedly season two is. Season two is Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac, and they're supposed to be incredible. So, like, go check those out. Yeah, the boys. Boys is really good. This final season is great so far.
Riley Bray
Cool.

This episode kicks off the fourth annual “Wet Hot Alien Summer” series, a summer-long event focused on stories of UFOs, UAPs, and alien encounters. Michael and Riley dive into fresh and classic tales of high strangeness, including new listener sightings, a spontaneous journey through alien lore, and a deep exploration of the infamous Westall UFO incident—a mass sighting at an Australian school in 1966 that remains shrouded in mystery and government silence.
Riley selects a random number to “summon” an alien type from Craig Campobasso’s Extraterrestrial Species Almanac. Amazingly, the chosen entry is the Telosians—underground Lemurian beings said to live beneath Mt. Shasta.
“You have summoned a Telosian.” – Michael (25:54)
Telosians are taller/broader humans who believe in Earth's ascension, work with advanced tech, and fight underground Reptilians and Grays.
Personal Synchronicity: Riley’s Aquarian “spirit name” in the Source Family Los Angeles commune is “Telos”—shockingly matching the segment’s random draw.
“That is really crazy. And then the name is my actual name in a New Age culture. Pretty weird stuff, guys.” – Riley (32:59)
Brief recount of Riley’s induction to the Source Family, LA’s legendary commune, featuring wild music gigs and mystical naming ceremonies.
Background: On April 6, 1966, at least 200 students and staff at Westall High School witnessed multiple silver discs hovering over the school’s oval (playground) in daylight.
Witness Reports:
Initial excitement gave way to chaos as kids ran outside. Some described the event as feeling “like the end of the world.” (44:02)
UFOs Chased by Aircraft: Civilian planes (Cessnas) swarmed the discs, unable to catch them, raising questions about both the pilots’ identities and the rapid coordinated response.
Ground Encounter in The Grange:
Government & Military Response:
Suppression & Aftermath:
Physical Evidence and Related Phenomena:
“It worked as an excuse …In 1947, it worked—after a couple days once the press was like, it’s a weather balloon, people didn’t talk about it for 30 years.” – Michael (65:15)
Warm, irreverent, nerdy, and philosophical. Michael and Riley embrace skepticism, humor, and weird synchronicity (“magic is already happening!”), connecting personal stories and far-out lore with deep-dive research. The show keeps a club-like camaraderie, making even the wildest topics feel like a fun, accessible conversation among friends.
This episode delivers a vivid retelling of one of UFOlogy’s biggest mass sightings, blending playful tangents, well-researched facts, and the hosts’ signatures: smart humor, skepticism, and genuine curiosity. If you’ve never heard about the Westall UFO incident, or just love tales of official silence and high strangeness, this is a must-listen episode for both skeptics and believers.
