Renewing the mind has a lot to do with what you can do for God and what you can receive from God. Renewing of that mind. Here is Abraham. Now God is using him. But as I go on through here, glory to God. I want to look at how God had to renew the minds of his people so that they could receive what he had. Turn with Me, please to Luke's Gospel in Luke, chapter 15. Luke, chapter 15. Now say ownership, My Lord, have mercy. My objective is to not only give you the word concerning ownership, but to give you the faith concerning ownership. So that you can receive what God has already given to you. Say Amen to that. All right. This is the story of the prodigal son. Now, the prodigal son is kind of an interesting thing. Because he said, dad, give me my inheritance. I'm out of here. So he got it. Now, this is the Winston translation. And so he got it and he left. Now, after he left, he spent all that he had. Didn't have anything and nobody gave to him. So now he says, I'm going to join myself to citizen of this country. He was living now much below his own, where he should be living. And they gave him a job feeding hogs. In other words, living on leftovers. So now, here he goes on down. Here he goes on down. Verse 17. And he came to himself and said, how many hired servants. And my fathers have bread enough to spare. And I'm perishing with hunger. Watch this arise and go to my father. I'll say to him, father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee. I am no longer worthy to be called thy son. Make me as one of thy hired servants. Let me ask you a question. Was he a servant or was he a son? And he arose and came to his father. Now, look what he said in verse one. Now, I say that the heir, as long as he's a child, differs nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all. Now, let me read that out of the Amplified. Now, what I mean is this. As long as the inheritor of the heir is a child and underage, he does not differ from a slave, although he's the master of all the estate. There is an inheritance for you that cannot be delivered to you beyond your level of growth. There is an inheritance for you that cannot be delivered to you beyond your level of growth. Many times people in the church have been carnal. For you to go into Canaan and face those giants. You're going to have to be spiritual. You're going to have to stop arguing with your cousin. Come on. You're gonna have to stop being drawn in to all this stuff that is on a low level. Say amen to that. But the inheritance is there.

The two sons, both of them supposed to get it, but one couldn't. Oh, it's hot there. You remember that story of the piranha fish and how that piranha fish has piranhas? You know, is a very violent fish. I mean, you put your hand in a piranha tank, they attack that thing and eat the meat off in seconds. But they had a piranha tank, and they had some small fish. And what they did is, when the. When the piranha one piranha fish got hungry, he just.

Well, they put a plastic divider between the piranha and the small fish. Now, piranha gets hungry, but as he goes after the fish, what does he do? He hits that divider. And they left it that way for 30 days. After 30 days, they took the divider. What do you think the piranha did? Did he eat the fish?

Because in his mind he couldn't see any way to get to them. That's called the memory of an elephant. So what am I telling you? I'm telling you Jesus removed the divider out of your life and the provisions are swimming all around you. You probably come across an opportunity to make a million dollars, probably once a day. You can't. People are not poor because they don't have money. They're poor because they don't have knowledge. So let's keep going. Can we keep going here? All right, now let's go over to Hebrews, chapter one, verse one. God, who @ sundry times in divers manner spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets these last days, spoken to us by his son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds he hath appointed heir of how many things? All things. Jesus, the Bible says in Charles B. Williams translation, is the lawful owner of everything. Jesus is the lawful owner of everything. Well, that is Jesus. Pastor. What that have to do with us? Turn to Romans, chapter 8. Then verse 16. The Spirit itself bears witness with our Spirit that we are the children of God. Say I'm a child of God, and if children, then what? Heirs keep going.

You know, God can't deliver our inheritance to us beyond our level of growth. See, and when you're owning something, I mean, you get. If somebody else has it and mistreating it, I mean, you've got something to say about it. This earth has been turned over to us. We got full supervision. We have full rights to own it and make decisions for it and so forth. Now, that's ours. God passed that on to us. Now take ownership. Praise God. But he can't give it to us beyond our level of growth. So we got to grow up, get off of meat, stop whining and all of that. Understand? You're a king.
