A
Hello, everybody. Welcome back to bloodline Banter. I'm Landon.
B
And I'm Riley.
A
Well, how'd you sleep last night?
B
I slept better.
A
Okay.
B
My sleep score is about an 82.
A
About an 82 or an 82? Was an 81.
B
It's 92. Oh, I'm just saying, like, it was an 82.
A
Yeah.
B
What was yours?
A
79. Which has been good for me.
B
Yeah.
A
Because I've been not sleeping.
B
Yeah.
A
Also, can you. Can we just talk about the flops? I'm rocking these flops. Every episode, I've been wearing these flops.
B
You're living in sin.
A
My flips are flopping. Yeah, flops are flipping. Whatever you want.
B
I think I wore these shoes last episode, too. I love them.
A
You wear them every episode, I think.
B
No, I don't. Yeah, you do. I do love these shoes, though.
A
Working a hat today. You are first time wearing a hat on the pot. I think.
B
I know.
A
First time for everything.
B
And Morgan. It's Morgan and Morgan.
A
It is Morgan and Morgan.
B
But what you got going on today?
A
What I got going on today? I don't really have anything going on today much. Going to go out to eat? For sure.
B
Okay. Where do you want to go?
A
Where do you want to go?
B
You know, I don't know. I'm kind.
A
I'm kind of feeling a.
B
Like a hibachi moment.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Not like good hibachi. Like, good hibachi, if that makes any sense at all.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, I don't want a hoity toity sushi hibachi restaurant. I want one where they cook in front of you, and you might have a chance of getting a roach in your rice.
B
Yeah. Foodborne illness. Yeah, I agree with that.
A
Speaking of foodborne illness, a couple weeks have gone by. The lettuce is fine. Lettuce is safe to eat again.
B
You know, I've heard that a lot of places like Whole Foods.
A
I'm gonna take my shoes off, actually.
B
Just let the dogs out. I mean, they're already out because you're wearing damn flip flops. Well, just shake them. Just shake like a damn dog.
A
Okay,
B
what are we saying?
A
I don't know. The lettuce.
B
Oh.
A
Weeks have gone by.
B
Trader Joe's, heb, Whole Foods, they all sell Taylor Farms lettuce under a different bag. It's what I heard. Allegedly for educational purposes only.
A
We're gonna do some investigating into that.
B
Yeah.
A
So would you be an investigative journalist?
B
That. That alp in your mouth, it's really throwing me off.
A
Why?
B
Because it's poking out Your lip. And you look like a damn.
A
I've got a little Zen in, a little nicotine pouch in.
B
Yeah, and it looks like he would. I mean, an investigative journalist.
A
Can you see it up here?
B
No, but you're about to get that thing's better. Rock your world. I can't do them all the time. Would I be an investigative journalist? Yeah, I think. Would you?
A
I pretty much am.
B
What would you investigate and journal about?
A
I don't know. I don't either. I kind of want to be a P.I.
B
really? A P.I. is a private investigator for those.
A
Would you not do that just for fun?
B
Yeah. You know, you were allowed to lie to anybody except the police.
A
Being a P.I.
B
my former boss was a P.I.
A
okay, well.
B
And he got a Domino's delivery thing one time, put on top of his car. This car, and sat outside of a house for a couple of hours.
A
I mean, that's iconic. What a deal.
B
That is iconic.
A
Imagine, like, acting like you're a pizza delivery driver.
B
You're basically just an actor and a stalker. Yeah. Professional stalker.
A
Yeah. You know, I would be a good PI I think we were talking about
B
this the other day. Growing up in the south, you hear, like, old wives tales.
A
So, like, wives tales. I thought it was wise.
B
I think. I don't know what it is. It's either wives or wives. I've seen it both. Okay. I guess the wives are wise. Anyways. Like, don't eat. You can't swim 30 minutes after you eat. If you go outside with wet hair, you'll get sick.
A
Huh.
B
I need to know if anybody else. I think it's somebody in the family. Like this Granny Joel.
A
Granny Joel.
B
Warts, fire.
A
Okay, tell us this. This is probably witchcraft. Or y' all really think it's which.
B
Because, listen, Granny Joel was a woman of God.
A
No, she was. And so is Dawn Mitchell.
B
Straight up.
A
She's a woman of God.
B
Okay, so in the south, like, I don't know if this is. Maybe this is just our family.
A
Maybe it is.
B
Our grandma could, like, talk the fire out of things.
A
And what we mean by that, we'll just give Don as an example. Like, let's just say I burned myself on a pot.
B
Tell the story about you burning yourself catching on fire. Because people love stories.
A
Well, even before that.
B
Well, yeah, but that you could point out.
A
And I'll talk about that. Somebody just texted. Oh, lovely. Anyways, if you burned yourself on, like, a pot or, you know, hot glue
B
gun, or one time, like, just tell them the story. No, I'm not.
A
Because I Gotta lead it up.
B
You could just say one time I caught on fire. And that's why.
A
That was, like, traumatic.
B
And you've talked about it a hundred times. It's not like you got PTSD from the day.
A
I do have PTSD.
B
You don't have a 2B.
A
Every time you walk in your nanny's
B
house and it's hot, you turn that on, stand with your shirt over it.
A
It's a new heater.
B
No, it's not.
A
Yes, it is. They got rid of that heater and got a new one after it caught my ass on fire.
B
Okay, well, regardless.
A
Okay, I'll just tell the story. One time I was. It was a Sunday morning and I was in the third grade. Ms. Pat was my teacher. I was wearing a highly flammable, 100% cotton T shirt, about to go to church, and I. We cut on the gas heater hanging on my nanny's wall and the flame, like, blew out a little bit and I was standing back to it and I like, you know when you're standing up beside a heater or something, you feel like your clothes are getting hot. Well, my clothes were indeed hot because they were in flames, on fire. And I, like, pulled my shirt off and I looked at my hand and my thumb has, like, completely melted off. Highest degree burns you can get. I had a burnt hole in my back. My hair was singed, the back of my scalp was burnt. Like, I literally caught on fire. Run into the house on fire. When you're on fire, you don't think to stop, drop and roll.
B
Yeah, that's a bunch of bullshit.
A
You don't. You jump up and down and say, I'm on fire. I'm on fire. How did we put the fire out? My grandfather came up to me. He didn't even have a shirt on. I remember this. He came up to me and he, like, just gave me a big hug, like, smothered it out.
B
That's papa's love.
A
Papa's love, let me tell you. And he smothered that fire out.
B
Singed all of his hair off his chest.
A
Every bit of his hair off of his chest. I think he got a little bit burnt too, but yeah, anyways, that was literally like insane.
B
Anyway, dawn, we have a cousin.
A
Cousin named dawn. And she.
B
Granny Joel taught her how to do it.
A
I don't think Granny Joel taught her how to do it. I don't know who taught her how to do it. But anyways, she came over and what she could do, she like, wherever you were burnt, she blew on It. She like and said something. Like, she whispers something.
B
She can't tell you.
A
Look at it. You can't look.
B
She can only tell, like, the seventh. No, I think she can tell her son's firstborn daughter. Yeah, it's witchcraft. It's not witchcraft, but it's. Anybody else would think it's witchcraft.
A
Anyways, she says something blows some air on it and it takes the fire away.
B
It takes the burnout.
A
The burnout. It does not burn anymore. And I'll tell you what else.
B
You can't look at her and you can't tell her.
A
Thank you. Those are the only two rules. You can't look at her. You can't tell her.
B
Watch her, like, lose her power because we're telling this story.
A
No, she's not. That is a God given gift.
B
I think it is, too.
A
Anyways. And that's just it. That's just how it is. So is there anybody.
B
Have y' all ever heard of that? Is there anybody in your family that can do that? Or are we just crazy and special?
A
Maybe it's placebo.
B
Well, I don't think it's maybe.
A
No. Because I was on fire and I melted the skin off my thumb, my fingernail. And I'll tell you something else. When she does it, you don't scar. I ain't got one scar.
B
Yeah, and Granny Joel could talk the warts off.
A
I don't think she could talk the warts. I don't know what she could do, but she could rub something on it and, like a rock. I don't know.
B
Okay.
A
I'll tell you what else Granny Joel done. She took a pencil one time when my mom was pregnant, and she held
B
it over her thumb with a piece
A
of thread and was like.
B
Over your mom's thumb? Hand.
A
Or hand.
B
And if it spun one way, she was having a boy. If it spun the other way, she's having a girl.
A
She's never wrong. Ever.
B
It spun the first time whenever Landon's mom. Mom was pregnant with his sister and it was a girl. And then.
A
And then Granny Joel told her, you're gonna have a boy next.
B
Have a boy.
A
And here I am. Maybe she just got lucky.
B
See, I think that's so crazy, but, like, I do think that God gives people gifts like that.
A
I do, too. Don's gift is, like, for real.
B
Yeah, I agree.
A
It's like the real deal. I can't attest to Granny Jewel because I've never been pregnant, obviously.
B
Well, obviously. But not just that. But I mean, that could just be it. I guess.
A
Yeah. It's like when you peel an apple and put it in a pot and the apple peel turns into the initial of. I don't know. You have never seen that before?
B
No.
A
It could be like that. Okay, never heard of that. But no, dawn can talk. I kind of want to call her.
B
Yeah, I mean, we need to have her on the pod and talk about it. Donnie Poo. Come on. The pod.
A
Donnie Poo Poo. You can even bring us a cake.
B
Yeah, dawn bakes cakes. She started a little business making cakes. And hey, that Kentucky buttercake I've heard is good. It looks so good.
A
I, I, they all look good.
B
Yeah, they do. But anyways, don't bakes cakes. I love, I love that. She's just so perfect.
A
Angel.
B
But anyways, is that unique to our family or have y' all ever heard of some in the south like that? Did, did your grandmother have a gift?
A
There has to be something there. We live in a godly family. Like these people go to church. Like we're not witches.
B
Yeah.
A
No, and when I say like godly, they are. Okay? They're not like me and Riley and Cuss little.
B
No, they are true saints.
A
Yeah, so there's that. But that was a good topic.
B
You know, I mean, I just, I've been meaning to talk about that for a couple weeks, but I just looked in my notes and realized we never did.
A
Let's talk about things that should be illegal but aren't illegal.
B
Okay, like what? Go ahead.
A
I don't know. I don't.
B
Popped in my head going 20 under the speed limit.
A
Okay, that's illegal.
B
Sometimes you will get pulled over for going too slow.
A
That's illegal. I think I'm going to go down a different route and say like the password situation on your phone. It should be illegal to tell my ass that I can't. Your new password is the same as your old password. If my new password was the same as my old password, then why make me change it?
B
This.
A
Tell me what my damn password was.
B
That's what pisses me off. It says, and then it has the audacity to say your old password can't be. Your new password can't be the same as your old password.
A
That's what I just said.
B
Well, how, how the hell do you know what my old password is?
A
And then three months later when you got to change it again because you forgot, it'll say your new password can't be the same as your previous 27 password.
B
You know what's kind of weird to Me.
A
And it's even more sus that they're keeping a list.
B
Yeah.
A
It's not like the passwords are the damn nuclear launch codes. It's a damn password. It's the name of my old damn dead dog with the last four. My social behind it and exclamation point.
B
I wonder how the president chooses the nuclear codes.
A
I don't think they do.
B
Like, do you think each president. Do you think each president has their own, like, code?
A
I don't know.
B
Like, Joe Biden's could be like, pop my dog ice cream. 1.
A
It had to have been something easy for him.
B
It was probably like, 1, 2, 3, 4, boom. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, exclamation point. God love him. That man just is.
A
He just was declined.
B
I know he's got cancer now. I feel bad.
A
It's kind of sad.
B
No, he is sad.
A
Yeah.
B
But.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Not to get political. We were just saying.
B
No. Yeah. I mean, yeah, that's not a political statement.
A
A day.
B
What would you do if I was the president for a day? Probably. I don't know.
A
Okay.
B
What would you do?
A
I really don't know. I'd have to be the president for more than a day to get all this done. I needed to get done.
B
Yeah. I'd probably just enjoy a really good dinner at the White House with some expensive, like, caviar.
A
Caviar.
B
Caviar.
A
We've never been to the White House.
B
I have.
A
Well, I've been to the White House, but we've never liked. Got any special treatment at the White House.
B
No, we haven't.
A
And we work for some pretty prominent individuals.
B
We did, but I've been to the White House. I was.
A
Would you go to the White House right now?
B
Would I go to the. Yeah.
A
Okay. Take, like, a West Wing tour.
B
I don't care who the president is. I went to the White House when Biden was president. Yeah. I seen his dog.
A
You did?
B
Yeah.
A
Was it shitting in the floor?
B
No, it was standing up against the.
A
What kind of dog was it?
B
German shepherd.
A
Really?
B
Yeah. They ended up having to take it off the property because it bit a whole bunch of Secret Service agents.
A
Of course it did.
B
We know Joe Biden couldn't sniff it because they bite him anyway.
A
Shit.
B
I don't have a problem with old Joe, but. Yeah, I just really don't have anything of substance to talk about today.
A
Me either. Let's talk about.
B
You know what I want? What? Another tattoo.
A
Oh. I think I'm gonna get one soon. I really do want another Tattoo artist here. No, I don't, actually. I'm not. Don't ever.
B
Don't get a tattoo on vacation or anywhere touristy. Because this tattoo right here, four words. 250.
A
Yeah. This little cross right here.
B
275. Just the cross. Not everything around it.
A
You know, everything around it was like 800 probably.
B
Yeah.
A
People are always like, oh, my gosh, you have tattoos. Where have you been?
B
Yeah. Everybody's like, can we get a tattoo tour?
A
Yeah. Let me just. Anyways, what do you think is a million dollar business idea? Do you have any million dollar business?
B
We thought about. Who was we with the other day that they said something? I said, that's a billion dollar idea. Where would Danae.
A
I don't know.
B
Well, crap, who are we with? Maybe it wasn't Danae. Maybe it was someone else.
A
That is a million. What? Do you have any million dollar business ideas?
B
A machine that folds your laundry for you.
A
That has to be a thing already.
B
Well, I need some.
A
Damn.
B
I need a brand deal.
A
I think maybe a.
B
Have you seen that machine that you load all of your ingredients into and it cooks your food for you?
A
Like the thing on Spy Kids where you just put like a McDonald's package in it and it. You cut the microwave on it?
B
No, it's like this machine. And like you. If you make pasta, you put pasta noodles in one container.
A
Oh, I know exactly.
B
Milk in another container, ground beef in another container. You put seasonings in the top, you put water in it, you put butter. Whatever.
A
Whatever the ingredients are.
B
And then it makes your food for you. You can, like, pick through recipes and you select it, and then you can leave your house and you come back and it has cooked your food for you.
A
At that point, I think you're just lazy.
B
I do too. No shit.
A
And then you have to take all that shit apart and clean it.
B
Yeah. No, no.
A
At that point, just throw your dishes in the damn dishwasher.
B
Not to mention the government has. Is notorious for poisoning our food. We can't pronounce half the shit that we eat.
A
I mean, I think a subscription that cancels all your other subscriptions.
B
They have that already.
A
Really?
B
Yeah. Oh, Rocket Money does that. Oh, Rocket Money. Sponsor the pod.
A
Rocket Money. I used to use it all the time.
B
I do. I have it.
A
Does it tell you how bad you spend money?
B
Yep. I don't look at it. Oh, yeah.
A
That's why I canceled it. Because it was telling me that my spending habits were just too bad and I needed to slow down or I was gonna be Broke as hell.
B
Yeah, I said that before, too.
A
Not broke yet, but I think I'm getting there.
B
We went to Broadway the other day.
A
We did go to Broadway the other day. Filmed a sponsorship.
B
Yeah, we filmed a. You probably already see it by now. We filmed a commercial for Morgan and Morgan. We took cousin Council to Broadway.
A
We did. And we wore those robes.
B
But I wasn't even talking about that time we went to. We actually went to Broadway the other day.
A
Yeah. And this is what we do. We think we want to go out, and obviously we're in Nashville, so, like, why not go to Broadway, you know? Riley and I's version of going out is going to the 1230 Club and sitting in a corner.
B
And my version of going out is going out to a bar and sitting at a table.
A
And when we say bar, we mean like a nice bar, not like a honky tonk club. One you can get like a martini and I'll get knocked out of your hands.
B
Literally.
A
I don't know why I'm doing this. Yeah, yeah.
B
I really. I hate. I'm not a fan of the big loud music. I don't care to stand around a
A
bunch of people speaking of Broadway and, like, going out and stuff.
B
Y' all know I enjoy getting together with friends, whether that's a night out in Nashville, a concert, a ball game, or just sitting around talking about laughing way longer than we plan to. One thing I've started doing before those nights is having a zebiotic pre alcohol probiotic drink. It's the world's first genetically engineered probiotic drink and was invented by PhD scientists to tackle rough mornings after drinking. Here's how it works. When you drink alcohol, it is converted into an unwanted byproduct in the gut. According to sebiotics, it's the buildup of that byproduct, not dehydration, that's responsible for those rough days after drinking. Pre alcohol produces an enzyme zebiotics. Pre alcohol produces an enzyme designed to break down unwanted byproduct. The key is making zebiotics your first drink of the night. Then drink responsibly, stay hydrated, get a good night's sleep, and enjoy tomorrow. It's just become part of my routine before a night out, I have one before that first round and let it do its thing. It's an easy habit to build, especially one when I have a packed day ahead of me. Recording a podcast, filming content, hitting the gym, which I rarely do, running errands, knocking out my to do list. Life doesn't slow down. Just Because I went out the night before. Go to zbiotics.combanter and use code banter at checkout for 15% off your order. That's zebiotics.combanter and use Code B A N T e R for 15% off. So we went to Broadway the other day. We went out and we thought we were gonna go out.
A
We thought. We went into a couple of bars
B
and we went to Jason Aldean's bar. When I got a drink, it tasted like chlorophyll bleach. And then.
A
Yeah, it did. What did we. What was that that we ordered?
B
It was a double vodka crayon. And when I tell you it.
A
It was more than a double. She put a teaspoon of cranberry juice.
B
It was still clear. You could have poured it into a car and popped a wheelie. I'm not kidding. It was legit. But Landon and I like bars like that. We ended up actually making a reservation at the Honky Dog club at the 1230 Club, which is the downstairs restaurant. And we sat listening to live music and ate chicken, fried chicken, literally. And had a drink called the Beauty School Dropout.
A
I had a dirty martini.
B
Yeah, it was good.
A
It was not actually dirty. It was just a dry martini. It had.
B
Landon just shakes up ice with vodka, pours in, and sticks to olives on a skewer.
A
Yeah.
B
Literally, that's all it was. Yeah, I can't do that.
A
It's good. But vodka is my drink of choice. I've been for years, even though I'm only 22.
B
Yeah, that's what happens when you grow up in the South.
A
Yeah. You know it's illegal to drink in your parents home in Georgia.
B
Well, a lot of times, like, it's. It's religious as well. Not for us. No, I'm not kidding. Like, in some religions, like, you start having a glass of wine with dinner at like 16.
A
A glass of wine. Not a shot of Tito's. That's true. Nothing religious about drinking vodka.
B
We're Southern Baptist.
A
Yeah, we're allowed to do that.
B
Southern Baptist. Some of them drink.
A
My card has just been out in the chair, hopefully.
B
Yeah, hopefully. You can't see Landon's card number. We've already had problems with people doing that.
A
Oh, my gosh. I'm gonna be started. You take a picture of my card and just have it on your camera roll. You're socko.
B
Anyways. Yeah. What? You got another rest of the day?
A
You've asked that about seven times.
B
I know, Landon, but I just don't know what to talk about. And y' all listen. Y' all love it whenever we just talk about anything. But nothing exciting has happened in my life the past couple days, and I guess that's a good thing. Oh, I just hit the microphone on my chin.
A
Do you think I'm a psycho for drinking milk straight out of the jug?
B
No, because I do it.
A
Do you think other people think we're psycho?
B
If you are like, oh, my God, that's disgusting. Nobody's drinking my milk, okay? I have two gallons of milk. I drink one out of the jug, and I use another one for cooking. If I make something, I'm gonna use the one for cooking. That way you don't have to have my lips on whatever you're putting in. I'm not gonna bless you like that.
A
People just, like, don't drink milk.
B
Yeah, I do. I love it.
A
I love it. Do you put ice in your milk?
B
I do. I have. Yeah.
A
I don't do that. I think that's.
B
What's your favorite dessert?
A
Carrot cake.
B
You know, I agree with that. But there's nothing that beats a good cinnamon roll.
A
Oh, I love a good cinnamon roll.
B
And there's nothing that beats that fudgy chocolate brownie you make.
A
I know, it's good. I've not made those in a year, probably. I need to get in the kitchen.
B
Landon went to Costco with me for the first time ever the other day, and he normally never wants to go. But you know what? He loved it. We went down every single aisle. He got a ton of stuff, and he couldn't believe he got all kinds of stuff that he couldn't get anywhere else.
A
Well, I could have got it somewhere else, but let me just say.
B
Well, you just really enjoyed it.
A
I don't like the fact that Costco doesn't carry Totino's pizza.
B
Oh, yeah. That was kind of ridiculous.
A
I was expecting to go in there and get a damn party box of a Totino's pizza, and they didn't have it.
B
How do you eat your Totinos?
A
Four cheese. Extra cheese. Extra cheese, extra cheese. Actually, this is what I do. I put it on a pan, spray the pan a little bit so it don't stick. I get just a Totino's Four cheese
B
pizza and a bag.
A
Yes. You know, they didn't put them in a bag.
B
Cheese. I'm talking about.
A
I know, but they didn't used to put Totinos in a bag. They put them in a bag.
B
Now, I ain't talking about.
A
They used to be wrapped in like, saran. You know what I'm talking about? Anyways, and then I put four pieces of provolone, four slices of American.
B
American craft singles.
A
Craft singles. And then Sargento mozzarella on top of enough cheese to kill a cow.
B
Well, cheese is a constipator.
A
And I'm not constipated.
B
You probably won't for a week and a half after.
A
No, I don't get constipated.
B
Must be nice.
A
And I dip it in Catalina dressing and ranch dressing at the same time. Let's do a little.
B
You see, whenever I'd go over to Landon's when we were growing up and we would go out by the pool, he would make us both a Tatino's pizza and we'd swim all day.
A
You remember that? That was a good. I do.
B
I remember that.
A
No, we don't do that.
B
And then now whenever we go out to eat, you make pasta salad. That's called. That's called maturing.
A
Yeah. I love a good pasta salad.
B
I do, too.
A
Cold pasta.
B
I don't want no damn hot noodle.
A
No.
B
Only way I want a hot noodles in spaghetti.
A
Yeti or Liz. I love lasagna.
B
Okay, this is controversial. And if you're Italian about his food. Now, I know if you're Italian, you're probably gonna have a stroke. My mom makes the best spaghetti. Or not spaghetti. Well, the best lasagna.
A
My mom does.
B
And she has lasagna pans where it's like a big, like.
A
Oh, no.
B
Cake pan. And she has. It's like a slit. I think it's pampered chef, maybe. And you just lay the noodle in there and then make the lasagna and you have four little lasagnas instead of one big one. Anyways, we don't use ricotta cheese.
A
My mom don't either.
B
Pin this microphone. We. We don't use ricotta cheese in our lasagna. We use Mexican blend. Great value cheese.
A
You're making a damn Mexican pizza from the Taco Bell.
B
We're making a lasagn chimichanga. They're good. I don't want no damn ricotta in my lasagna. I don't. I don't.
A
My mom don't make it like that because my dad don't like that ricotta.
B
I don't like ricotta.
A
She puts up ton of just.
B
You know what's kind of crazy to me? There are so many kinds of cheese and it all comes from the same. It all comes from milk.
A
Wonder how it's flavored. Is it just like.
B
How do you. How do you make cheddar cheese as opposed to lasagna? And I'm sorry, what? How do you make cheddar cheese as opposed to barata cheese, as opposed to havarti cheese, as opposed to mozzarella cheese? How do you. How does that work?
A
Do they put different seasonings in it? Do they let it age longer than the other?
B
I don't know. And then Swiss has holes in it.
A
Wonder why is it holy? Yeah, maybe we need to start eating that.
B
It's washed in the blood, swished.
A
I don't like Swiss. I really.
B
The only cheese I don't really think of.
A
What a rat. Why? Because whenever you put like, you see pictures of, like, rats on a trap or something, it's like got holes in it. It's like Tom and Jerry I'm talking about. So it just makes me think of that and it gives me the ick. Never watch Final Destination.
B
I don't think I've watched it, but I've heard you talk about it.
A
There's like five of them.
B
Like, every time I get behind a truck with logs, I'm afraid I'm gonna die. Every time I lay in the tent in bed, I'm afraid water is gonna spill on it. Yeah, that's. That's. I think I'll never forget.
A
I wanted Mexican food so bad one time I was like 10. And Final Destination, we put on Final Day. My parents put on. I don't even know. It was just on the tv. And I wanted Mexican food so bad. And we got it take out. We brought it home. I started eating it and I look up at the TV and this flips off of a trapeze bar and crushes, like, her body just splats, like, leg behind the head. Oh, God. I don't want to hear that. Guts out.
B
I do not have a week time to give it. One thing that will make me queasy is seeing bones break.
A
I'm gonna show you this clip.
B
No, you're not. I'm not watching it.
A
I'm gonna show you after this episode. You're gonna watch it and you're gonna die. And I just remember being so mad that that was on the tv because it grossed me out so bad I couldn't finish my Mexican food.
B
Do you remember the show called Fear Factor? Have you ever watched it? It's where people face their fears. And like, if they're afraid of spiders, they will lay on in a box and people will pour tarantulas on top of them. And they have to do that for,
A
like, what the hell do people think when they do shit?
B
That is how you have a fucking heart attack and die. If you win, you get, like, $20,000.
A
That's when you have a heart attack and a stroke mixed in together.
B
Call me privileged, call me rich, whatever you want to call me. I'm not laying in a bed of tarantulas for $20,000. You can keep your damn money. I'll be broke.
A
I'd rather be homeless.
B
I mean, there are people that will literally, like, lay in a bed of, like, cockroaches. Are you insane?
A
Ignorant.
B
Are you insane? That is the dumbest shit I've ever heard in my life.
A
And people do this for money.
B
Look up fear factor. I think one of the biggest things that people overlook is how much their energy affects everything else. M people that, like, reuse the same dental floss. Reuse the same. Like toilet paper.
A
How do you reuse toilet paper?
B
There was this one guy that took his wife on a date one time, and he went over to the trash can to the movie theater. Went over to the trash can because they had free refills on popcorn. Took a trash can, took apart the trash can, grabbed a popcorn bucket, took it up there, got a free popcorn and drink.
A
And people did this.
B
Yes.
A
And it was a TV show.
B
Yes. On tlc. They needed some damn tender loving care.
A
I've watched Extreme couponers.
B
I love that show.
A
That's an art.
B
Oh, yes, it is. Them bitches would get nine buggies full of stuff and pay 12 cents for it.
A
Yes.
B
I love that.
A
And at the end, it would, like, knock off all the price, and they're like.
B
And they would get so Stressed and start crying if they had to pay $2 for a block of cheese and their coupon wouldn't work. But like my coupon didn't work. I had to pay full price.
A
I'll be honest.
B
50 bag off of cheese.
A
I hate a damn Cuban.
B
I don't hate a coupon, but I feel like it's kind of embarrassing to use one.
A
I think society has made it embarrassing to use one because that TV show.
B
I don't think there's anything wrong with using a coupon if you can save money.
A
Our grandparents getting those things in the mail like a magazine or something. It would have little coupons like Hardee's and stuff.
B
And I took them to Hardee's one time. They were like, we don't do those anymore. I was like, I just got this in the mail. Really? Yeah, I've done that before.
A
I do too. I'm like, I'll use that like a free gravy and biscuit before school. Hell yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
Remember that red truck you used to drive? Yeah, I.
B
We still have it. You know, yesterday whenever we were talking about your car, I started to ask
A
if you wanted to drive the red
B
truck because it's sitting in the.
A
We made a lot of memories in that truck.
B
We did.
A
We drove every damn wear. And then I got my license and we never rode it again.
B
420 stickers on the back of the window.
A
420.
B
Not really, but a lot.
A
Oh, I thought you were like, that's. How many?
B
No, like 12 maybe.
A
We need to find some good Snapchat memories from us in that truck. One popped up the other day and me and you, we said we're going to honk at everybody that drives by. And we did. We honked at every damn body. We honked at the lawnmower person driving their lawnmower at the end of the cult or the end of the subdivision there. We honked at Chris and Carter. They flipped us off. We honked at every damn body I got. All on video. We were dumber than hell.
B
We need to find a couple Snapchat memories and play them in some of these episodes.
A
We can do that. That can be like a new segment.
B
Yeah.
A
Cuz we've always been content creators. We just didn't ever post anything. But we've always videoed everything we've done.
B
We have. That's true.
A
Ooh, people are going to make fun of me cuz I used to have a crater face.
B
Well, you got on Accutane that fixed it. Yeah, I just used to Be fatter than I am now.
A
Yeah, I had bad acne.
B
You want to get into cousin bloodline brain check?
A
Yeah, let's do that.
B
I feel like we only talk for like 10 minutes.
A
Someone just sent me something. Anyways, bloodline brain check. Okay, Which US President had the nickname Silent Cow?
B
Silent Cow.
A

A

B
Yeah, he was. What ocean is the deepest?

B

B
Oh. Why?
A
I don't know. I guess because I got a lot of cream cheese there and the brothers really loved it.
B
You said cream cheese. I was like, what the hell are you talking about?
A
Philadelphia cream cheese.
B
What animal sleeps standing up?
A

B
I've googled this before because I couldn't. I didn't have a tablespoon clean and I just used a teaspoon.
A
Four. Three.
B
Okay, I was close. What fruit floats? Because it's 25% air.
A
That's the fruit that we need to be eating.
B
So if you ever are out of breath, eat this fruit.
A
Trying to think of the most non dense fruit. Watermelon.
B
They do float. An apple. Really?
A
I thought an apple was pretty.
B
Well, I mean, it makes sense. You go bobbing for apples. I actually think we've talked about this before. What?
A
I'm not ever.
B
Come on.
A
I didn't read the full question and this is the dumbest shit I've ever seen in my life.
B
What?
A
What animal's milk is traditionally used to make mozzarella di. Buffalo.
B
The fuck is that?
A
Mozzarella. D I B U F A L A goat. No, no. And like the answer is pretty common sense, but like how the fuck is this?
B

B
Who the hell drinks water buffalo beer?
A
What is mozzarella di? Buffalo. That's a bad hope.
B
This has got you tickled. Mozzarella di. Oh, I think it's pretty common. Landon.
A
Is it just mozzarella cheese?
B
Well, it looks like a nipple. Mozzarella. What state is famous for potatoes?
A

A
What is the official language of Brazil.
B

A
China.
B
No.
A
India. Yes. I thought it was China.
B
It's India.
A
Well, I got it right. What is the only US State that grows coffee commercially?
B
We've talked about this before. Hawaii. What animal kills the most humans every year?
A
A snake.
B
No.
A
A mosquito.
B
Yes.
A
Oh, shit.
B
I'm walking around in a damn beekeeper suit.
A
I've never watched that lady on TikTok and she's like, another day of saving the bees. Let me just play her into the microphone because her voice is so calming. Oh, I'm serious, please. Another day of saving the bees. I swear. Where's one. So calming? But I've got to get her Another day of saving the bees.
B
What percentage of the human body is water?
A
Wait, what?
B
What percentage of the human body is water?
A
70.
B
60.
A
Really?
B
Not mine. 60% of my body's Diet Coke. Which came first, the lighter or the match?
A
I want to say the match.
B
No, it's the lighter.
A
Then why did we create a match?
B
Dar some overachieving bitches. Who the hell would rather go.
A
Who the hell looked at some sandpaper and went, let me just see if I rather them? Is that what it is? Sandpaper?
B
More or less. Yeah.
A
I think that's all. I don't have any more questions.
B
What is the largest living organism on Earth?
A
Organism? I don't know. I've not heard that term. This has a physiology in freshman year.
B
A fungus in organization.
A
I'm not such a trick question. Mozzarella. Buffalo.
B
What color is the inside of a watermelon before it ripens? This makes sense if you think about it, but I wouldn't really think about it.
A
Made me bite my fingernails. I got that one. I want to say white.
B
Yes.
A
Okay.
B
Same color as mozzarella.
A
Council. Okay.
B
Yeah. Okay, y', all, I'm sorry. This episode has been all over the place. Okay, we're gonna get into Cousin Council. All right, everybody, welcome back to Cousin Council.
A
As a reminder, even ready. Let me get my robe fixed. My zipper broke.
B
Your honor is not doing very well today. As a reminder, Cousin Council is brought to you by Morgan and Morgan.
A
And I'm wearing their hat.
B
Go to for the people.com forward slash banter. You only pay if they win.
A
Okay. Got one for you.
B
Okay.
A
Catherine. Hi. Landon and Riley. I recently got broken up with after dating for almost three years and helping raise his daughter, who has. Who was only six months old when we met. I'm currently in the trenches of trying to move on and feel better. And it's Very much a struggle. Any advice? Do you agree with saying the best way to get over someone is to get under someone new? Thanks. P.S. i recently discovered you guys and the podcast helps me laugh even when I'm having a rough day. Love you.
B
Bye. Love you too.
A
Well, thank you so much for that. That's what we do this for. To bring joy into your life. Also, I don't know that I agree
B
that I do not agree with that sentiment whatsoever.
A
You don't?
B
No.
A
I don't agree with it either.
B
But that's just another way to get your heart broke again.
A
For an std.
B
Yeah, I'd much rather have a heartbreak than an std.
A
That's kind of sad. I don't know if I have any advice. I would say go. I've said this before. Go to the Walmart frozen aisle, get a chicken taquita, dip it in Hidden Valley Ranch. Never been sad doing that.
B
Never been sad eating ice cream.
A
But no serious advice. I don't know.
B
Doordash winks up. Pray about it when you eat your wings up.
A
Yeah, that's sad.
B
It is sad. Okay, I have one. Okay, this one is a long one. Okay, so let's pray I can actually get through this. As in like read this long. Okay. I want to say I want to stay anonymous. Sometimes I don't understand people who want to stay anonymous. Not. But I'll always protect your identity. Oh, for sure. But if you're telling me this much, chances are the other the person you're
A
talking about could be watching the pod
B
and they know all this stuff.
A
Yeah. So we'll just.
B
At the end of May, my twin sister said she was upset with me because I missed her UTK graduation. I was in the beginning of my second trimester. I was battling extreme car sickness and being pregnant, I also get lightheaded. My husband and I had to make a 15 hour move from North Carolina to Alabama. Why did it take you 15 hours to drive that far?
A
To where?
B
From North Carolina to Alabama.
A
Maybe it was south Alabama and north North.
B
Well, she's pregnant. Maybe she had to sob and pee a lot. Anyways, I apologize for not giving a clear answer sooner, but she rejected it. She threw past my three hour trip to see my grandparents and my cousin's wedding in my along with my camping trip to Lake Eufaula. Claiming my pregnancy shouldn't stop me. Well, she wasn't pregnant. However, she only gave me a graduation date two weeks prior without a time or location making an Airbnb impossible to book. My husband and I got married in March 2024. He deployed in May 2024. I moved to Camp Lejeune in September. You may be entitled to compensation. He returned in October 2024. We lived there until April 2023.
A
Sam. She got her dates down.
B
Yes, she does.
A
That's me trying to figure out what worked on a resume. That always stumped me. Me too. I don't know when the hell I worked at that law firm from 2023 to 2024. Hell, I don't know. Don't ask me to ever name a date.
B
Okay, what she's saying basically, is that her twin sister caught her selfish for not coming to her graduation.
A
But her twin sister made it impossible for her to make it there.
B
Yes. I mean, she even tried to sit down with her and, like, mediate it, and she, like, turned everybody in the family against her sister for nothing.
A
Well, you know what I would tell your sister?
B
You know what I would say? It's not my. I didn't go to college. It's not my problem.
A
I would say, cry me a river, Build me a bridge and get the hell over it.
B
Listen, I am not gonna do anything I don't wanna do. And it's not even the fact that you might not have wanted to come to your sister's graduation. You were in your second trimester. You were getting sick. Nobody wants to be out in the heat watching somebody's name get called in front of 423 other people. No, live stream that.
A
It's always live stream.
B
It is 2026. Live stream it.
A
I have one more.
B
Okay, number three on the sounds like.
A
Not like I would do something like this or say, I don't know. When I was 13 years old, I went on a field trip with my class to ou and me and my friends were laughing so hard that I end up literally peeing my pants. Everyone was just saying, oh, my God, did you pee yourself? And I just told them I accidentally sat in a puddle. Even though it was a hot, humid day and no water around. Seven years later, I'm still traumatized. And yes, I piss myself.
B
You know what? We're Depends. It was funny. Someone.
A
Even though it was a hot, humid day, I told them I slipped and fell in a puddle. Or sat in a puddle.
B
That's their problem for both.
A
You did sit in a puddle. So you didn't lie to them?
B
No. You didn't lie. Listen.
A
But she's still traumatized seven years later.
B
Everybody pees herself. Babies pee theirself and they don't get embarrassed.
A
That's the dumbest thing you've ever seen.
B
I know, but it's true.
A
Have you ever. I don't think I've ever paid myself as a whole.
B
I'm sure I paid myself one time
A
to get out of school. Because you were nice. Yes.
B
Yeah, it worked.
A
And they wouldn't let you go to the bathroom?
B
No.
A
And you probably really didn't have to go to the bathroom.
B
I did.
A
So you paid them?
B
She wouldn't let me, so I paid myself. Gotta go home.
A
Well, there's that.
B
Anyways, this episode has been nothing but a catastrophe.
A
Yeah. If you have any cousin council submissions confessions story times, email us team at Bloodline Venture effect. The juicier the better.
B
Yes.
A
Bloodlinematterofficial.com about swallowed an alp.
B
Okay. Oh, that have been bad. You'd had to call Morgan. Morgan. Anyways, make sure you subscribe to our YouTube subscribe on Apple podcast. Check out our new Patreon should be coming soon. Yeah.
A
Anyways, love you. Bye.
