This episode of Bluey is called Christmas Swim. It was Christmas morning and the Heeler family was gathered at Uncle Stripe's house, the air buzzing with excitement. The family sat around the Christmas tree, passing presents to one another. Mom read the gift tags, making sure everyone got their turn. Here you go, Uncle Stripe, Bluey said, handing him a neatly wrapped gift. It was from Nana. Stripe tore into it, revealing a bright red apron. World's best chef. He read aloud, grinning. Thanks, Mom. Dad pretended to be surprised. Hey, I thought I was the world's best chef. He teased, earning laughs from the family. Nana opened her present next. It was a shirt with some writing on it. What does it say? She wondered aloud, squinting at the shirt. Nana then said, hang on, I'll just get my glasses. Then she chuckled. Oh, it says hang on, I'll just get my glasses. The family burst into laughter as the unwrapping continued. The room filled with delighted squeals. Bingo held up a shiny doctor's bag. Muffin cheered over the inflatable pool island she received while Socks hugged her pizza shaped pool float. Dad was very excited to open his present to find new tennis balls. Finally, it was Bluey's turn. She tore into her present and gasped in delight. Inside was a soft toy doll. Wow, I love him. She announced. I'm going to call you Bartleby. Hugging him close, Bluey's excitement was clear. With the presents opened, Muffin leapt to her feet. Christmas swim. She shouted, bounding toward the pool. The family cheered in agreement. Out by the pool, the fun began in full swing. Dad wandered over to Uncle Stripe, who was tending to the barbecue. Are you sure you know how to cook the crackling? Dad asked, raising an eyebrow. Uncle Stripe smirked and pointed to his apron. Read the apron, he quipped, shutting the grill with confidence. Meanwhile, Bluey was busy introducing Bartleby to everyone. Let me introduce you to my family. She said proudly to the little doll. They're your family now too. She started with Uncle Stripe. This is Bartleby, she said, holding him out. Good day, Bartleby. Stripe greeted him warmly, but before they could continue their conversation, Socks blew a puff of air into Stripe's face, sending him stumbling back into the pool. Stripe surfaced, laughing as Sox giggled mischievously. Bluey introduced Bartleby to Sox. Soks gave Bartleby a big lick on his face. Next, Bluey turned to Muffin. This is my cousin Muffin, she said to Bartleby. Muffin, in full pretend mode, rushed past shouting, hi Bartleby. Sorry I'm late for work. Then she hurried to put on her clothes and lipstick and then boarded the ferry, which was really just mom towing her pool float. Bluey introduced Bartleby to Bingo, who was lounging on a pizza float in the pool. But before Bingo could say much, Uncle Stripe, pretending to be a crocodile, lunged out of the water, scaring them both. Let go of Bartleby, Crocodile. It's his first heeler Christmas. Bluey shouted, grabbing him back into safety. But things didn't calm down for long. Dad, mom and the others were playing classic catches nearby. Bluey brought Bartleby over. Dad, this is Bartleby. How's it going, Bartleby? You want to turn in classic catches? Dad asked. Bartleby was up and he flew through the air waiting to catch the tennis ball. But things did not go as planned. The ball hit Bartleby square in the face before he landed in the water. Dad dove for a catch after him, emerging triumphantly with both Bartleby and the ball. Got it. You've got to keep your eye on the ball, mate, he said to Bartleby, holding the soggy doll up high. Bluey looked at Bartleby's bent arm. Oh Bartleby, I'm so sorry dad broke your arm. She said, carrying him inside to dry off. In the kitchen, Nana was offering her opinion on the Christmas lunch preparations. Oh Trix, I can do the gravy if you like. She said casually. But Trixie shook her head. Oh, I'm fine, Chris. I've just got some packets. Nana waved her off. Oh no, let me do a proper one. She said, leaving Trixie looking less than thrilled. Meanwhile, Bluey walked in. Aunt Trixie, can I borrow a towel for Bartleby please? Nana grabbed one for her. Did you get wet, Bartle Boy? She asked. Bluey let her know what happened. Dad landed on him. Oh deary me. Nana exclaimed. She started drawing Bartleby vigorously, but Bluey gasped. Nana, no. He's got a broken arm. Nana froze, wide eyed. Oh goodness me. I had no idea. Sorry, Bumblebee. Mispronouncing the doll's name for the second time. Bluey sighed, taking her injured friend to rest. Later, the family gathered for a video call with Uncle Rad and Aunt Frisky. Rad teased Stripe, are you sure you know how to cook? The crackling read the apron. Stripe repeated confidently, making everyone laugh. Frisky couldn't see Bluey on the call. Hey, where's Bluey? She asked. Inside, Bluey was gently cradling Bartleby. I'm sorry, it's been a bit crazy she said to Bartleby. Just then, Mum brought the tablet to Bluey. Frisky wants to talk to you, she said. Aunt Frisky asked Bluey about Bartleby. Bluey told her that things are not going well for Bartleby and that he wants to go home because the Heeler family is just too rough. Aunt Frisky told Bluey to let her have a word with him. I'm new to the Heeler family as well, and just between you and me, she added in a whisper, they're a bit crazy. Bluey giggled. Frisky continued, but give them a chance. You'll see they're full of love. As Frisky spoke, scenes of the family flashed. Dad tasting and complimenting Stripes, crackling, Nana and Trixie feeding Bartleby gravy and dad flying through the air with Bartleby taking a classic catch. Finally, it was time for Christmas lunch. The family gathered around the table, laughing and popping Christmas crackers and and serving themselves food. Drinks were raised as everyone shouted Merry Christmas. With a big grin. Dad raised his glass. And here's to Bartleby. Welcome to the family, mate. He gave Bartleby a hearty pat on the back. But the force sent Bartleby tumbling face first into his food. Dad. Bluey cried, her voice a mix of surprise and laughter. The whole family erupted into giggles, including Bluey. Dad gently picked Bartleby up, brushing him off. Sorry, buddy, he said sheepishly. Bluey lifted Bartleby's hand, revealing a big thumbs up. It was a Christmas bursting with joy, where every mishap became a cherished memory. Every laugh brought the family closer, and love tied it all together. For Bartleby, joining the Healer family was no easy feat. But he couldn't have picked a better family to become part of, one that welcomed him with open arms, big laughs and hearts full of love.
