This episode of Bluey is called Keepy Uppy. It was a cheerful morning at the Healer House, and Bluey was just waking up. Stretching with a yawn, she stepped on a crinkly bag of balloons beside her bed. She picked up the package and smiled. Morning balloon. I mean morning last balloon. She said, holding it up. She began to inflate the balloon, her cheeks puffing with determination. In the living room, Mum was lifting Bingo into the air and dropping her onto the couch, making her giggle. Bingo squealed again just as Bluey wandered in holding her newly inflated red balloon. This is my pet bird. Bluey declared proudly squeezing the balloon to make it squeeze. Squeak. Bingo erupted into laughter. Bluey let go of the balloon and said, go free, Birdie. As the balloon flew around the room and landed on top of Mum's head, much to the amusement of Bluey and Bingo. Mum smiled. Well, have I got a game for you. Bluey's eyes sparkled excitedly. She asked, is it Keepy Uppy? Yeah, it's Keepy Uppy, Mum replied, inflating the balloon again. She tied a knot, preparing to launch the balloon into the air. Bluey turned to Bingo with a serious expression. The game is simple. We just have to keep the balloon in the air and we can't let it touch the ground. What happens if it touches the ground? Bingo asked, her brow furrowed in concern. Oh, nothing, Bingo. Mum reassured her. It's just a game. Satisfied, Bingo joined Bluey in chasing the balloon around the living room. They tapped it gently, giggling and shouting, what? Each time they kept it afloat, mom joined in, briefly swatting the balloon back to them before retreating into the kitchen. After a while, the sisters tried a new approach. What if we do small ones? Bluey suggested, standing close together, they passed the balloon back and forth carefully. This is so easy now. Bingo said, laughing. But it's not as fun. Bluey admitted. She peeked toward the kitchen. Mom, can you make it hard again? Sorry, Pickle, I've got my hands full. Mom replied, flipping pancakes. Just then, dad burst into the room, humming a tune and carrying a basket of laundry. What up, party people? He asked dad, we're playing Keepy Uppy. Can you make it harder? Bluey pleaded. This seemed right up Dad's alley as his eyes sparkled mischievously. Without warning, he scooped Bingo into his arms, holding her upside down. Ah, my newspaper. What's in today's headlines? He teased, pretending to read Bingo like a paper. Dad. Bingo shrieked with laughter while Bluey darted around the room, frantically keeping the balloon afloat all on her own. As Bingo was otherwise occupied. The balloon magically landed on top of a glass of orange juice. Of course, dad saw this as an opportunity to make the game harder for the girls. He picked up the glass of orange juice, and just as he did, the balloon fell off the glass and bounced toward the kitchen floor. Ah, no. No, no, no, no. Bluey shrieked as she ran and leapt to hit it up into the air before it hit the ground. The chaos escalated when dad decided it was too hot in the kitchen and turned on the fan, sending the balloon sailing all the way into the living room. Bluey and Bingo chased it, screaming with delight, and somehow dad was already in the living room. Before the girls could get to the balloon, Andy had a tool in hand, ready to make the game even harder. There's leaves everywhere. Dad exclaimed as he blew the balloon with his leaf blower. The balloon spun wildly, blasting into the playroom, where toys were scattered across the floor. Bluey and Bingo tiptoed through the mess, batting the balloon upwards while navigating around blocks and dolls and all of their toys. Who is responsible for this mess? Bingo huffed dramatically. Can you imagine how easy this would be if you tidied them all away? Dad said, lounging in the doorway with a smirk. That isn't helping. Bluey shot back as she dove to save the balloon, which wobbled dangerously close to the ground, then landed atop a tower of blocks. But not for long as dad cheekily turned on the ceiling fan, sending the balloon soaring. Outside in the backyard, the balloon drifted perilously close to the grass. Oh, no. Mom cried, rushing after it. We can't let it touch the ground. Bluey and Bingo sprinted after her. We know. They shouted back. No, I mean we really can't let it touch the ground, Mum explained. Balloons pop if they touch grass. The trio scrambled to save the balloon, but it floated over the fence into Lucky's yard. Lucky. The balloon. Bluey called. Lucky, who had been kicking a ball around, spotted the red balloon descending. He grinned and darted toward to save it. His dad, Pat, joined the rescue with a dramatic leap. Dad hit the balloon into the air, but dropped his coffee and clutched his leg in pain. Oh, I've done me hammy. You get it, Lucky? He groaned. Lucky gave one final heroic hit, sending the balloon back over the fence. There you go, Bluey, he called back. In the healer yard, the balloon drifted toward the grass. Mom dove to save it, but dad appeared with an umbrella, intercepting her. Looks like rain. He teased, redirecting the balloon off of the umbrella and straight onto the grass with a soft Pop. The balloon burst. No. Yelled Bingo and Bluey. The girls froze, staring at the remains of the balloon. It's popped. Bingo said sadly. It's all good. We can blow up another one. Dad said. That was my last balloon. Bluey whispered, kneeling beside them. Dad looked sheepish. Oh, did I make that a little too fun? Yeah, you did, Bluey and Bingo replied. With the girl still looking sadly at the remains of the popped balloon, Bluey decided to turn the mood around. It was pretty fun though, she said, her face lighting up with a beaming smile. Bingo and Lucky both agreed. Mom knelt down with a smile. You know, I think we've got one last balloon left. Really? The girls asked. For real life? Bluey added hopefully. Yeah, a big blue one. Mom replied knowingly, grinning at dad. Uh oh. Dad said, realizing that the big blue balloon was him. As Bluey blew on his tail, dad puffed up, pretending to inflate. The girls giggled uncontrollably. Go free birdie. Bluey shouted, releasing dad. Dad ran wildly across the yard, flapping his arms and blowing raspberries like a deflating balloon. He ricocheted off the trampoline, wobbling and flailing before veering straight toward Bluey, Bingo and Mom. Oh no. Mom exclaimed, bracing herself as deflating Balloon dad came barreling toward them. With a final wobble, dad collapsed onto the family and they all toppled into a heap of laughter. The Heeler family's happiness echoed through the yard, a reminder that sometimes the simplest games bring the greatest joy. With a positive attitude, even an accident can make the memories all the sweeter.
