Jun 8, 2022Tap to summarizeWith only days before new episodes of Bluey drop, we went down to the Wynnum Whale Water Park as featured in the Pass the Parcel episode.In this episode we chat possible locations for the rest of season three, the writers workshop with Joe Brumm that we attended, and explore this part of Brisbane with our special guest, Spencer Howson.Spencer spent 25 years as a broadcaster with the ABC, many of those were as the number one rating host of ABC Radio Brisbane's breakfast show. He is now with 4BC, hosting his own weekends show as well as lecturing the next generation of radio talent at the University of Southern Queensland.Spencer spent his childhood in the area, with one of his childhood friends being Aussie radio star Kyle Sandilands. Did he really go to Scotland?We also chat to Shelley Lloyd, a longtime journalist and newsreader with ABC Radio Brisbane and also a resident of The Gap. The Gap Kindy is also home to the original Bob Bilby as featured in Bluey.Bob was found in a container full of puppets around 20 years ago and as Anne said - "he just jumped out and seemed to come to life".He's a determined Bilby and want's Aussie kids to know that the Bilby is an endangered species and he also wants to become the official Easter Bilby for Australia.In Season 1 of Bluey both Bob and Anne featured in the Bob Bilby episode, with Anne providing the voice for kindy teacher Mrs Retriever.Listen to Anne tell Bob's story and how he and his adventures help the kids at The Gap C&K Kindy.
